Hii Clari, i agree that a lot of dialog and character development in genshin is very lacking, and the characters become interesting AFTER they go through the readers' filter and we fill their personalities. I know you are no longer writing for the genshin men but do you plan to share any of the pieces you were working on even though they are discontinued? Regardless, have a great day <3

hi anon bb!! exactly!!!!!! exactly. the characters are pretty much just a collection of traits and a handful of memories with a name slapped on them. we, as the players, can then take those traits and make something out of them—make them more cohesive, or explore how we personally think the character would act and behave in a specific situation based on the collection of traits the game gave them. and for the type of game genshin is, that’s fine! like it clearly isn’t a game that’s super focused on character development and depth, especially since again the main goal is to keep players spending money and grinding for the new characters that are constantly being churned out, making the other characters feel just like cardboard acquaintances you meet once or twice and then move on from as they stay static or disappear completely. it’s a lot more focused on gameplay and combat, and that’s okay, it just isn’t my thing.

i do plan to share those pieces, but they’re being reworked for other characters that aren’t the genshin men. so the alhaitham x reader x ajax piece will either be for keigo n dabi or chuuya n dazai; the tutor!alhaitham piece is now for clive, and the royal!au with ajax n thoma i have no idea what to do with, but i’m sure i’ll figure it out. the point is, i put so much work into those stories and love them way way waaaay too much for them to just sit abandoned in my documents. when will these be released??? no idea. i’m so dang behind on literally all of my writing; work has me totally swamped atm, life has just been super chaotic in general, and yesterday someone very close to me suffered congestive heart failure, so i’ve just been having trouble finding the time to work on anything other than my tiny lil prompt pieces :( you’re so sweet, thank you so much!! i hope your weekend is going splendid <3

Hoyoverse has finally released their new game, Honkai Star Rail. You’ve been eagerly awaiting this moment for the past two years. You’ve fallen in love with the male characters in the game because they’re hot. It’s as simple as that, really. It seems like you’ve been playing the game for far too long, and your boyfriend is needy for your attention.

“Damn, he’s so attractive! I can’t believe a man from a game could be this pretty!” you exclaimed, turning back to see your boyfriend’s curious and amused expression.

He couldn’t help but frown before pulling you off the chair and rushing you to your shared bed. He pinned you onto the bed and kissed your lips.

“I’m way better than him,” he pouted, looking down at your prone form, your face flushed with red, and avoiding his gaze. “Plus, I’m real and can give you every ounce of my love and affection,” he stated, kissing down your neck before finally lying beside you, guiding your body towards him and holding you tight, refusing to let you go.

“Okay, I get it!” you struggled in his grasp, but he wouldn't release you. “Hmm? Then why don’t you show me, angel?” he teased. You could only blush and stutter in response before he leaned in to kiss you and showered you with all the love that those stupid game characters can’t give you.

“Pfft, that's funny, sweetheart. I don’t remember being in a video game,” he chimed in, leaning over your seated form to see your PC screen.

As he saw the characters, he said arrogantly, “Really? Did you forget that you have me? I’m way more attractive than him. Who can actually satisfy your affection needs? Unlike him, I could make love with you—” He was cut off by your hand covering his mouth.

“Okay, no more of that, please!” you shyly said in a slightly loud voice. “Are you shy, sweetheart? You weren’t so shy last night,” he continued teasingly before being smacked on the head.

KAISER, OTOYA, KARASU, AIKU, YUKIMIYA, (WILDCARD) KUNIGAMI, SAE, BAROU, SHIDOU

“Am I not enough for you, honey?” he asked, giving you sad puppy eyes because some video game characters had captured your attention more than him.

“What? Noo, you’re the love of my life! I’d never trade you for the world!” you replied, noticing his puppy eyes and feeling apologetic.

“I’m sorry, babe. I love you more, okay? Please don't be sad,” you said, pulling him into a hug as he nestled into your neck. “Give me hugs and kisses, and I’ll consider your apology,” he grumbled, and you immediately showered him with all your love for the remainder of the day.

it makes me happy to know you like my headcanons🥹 same about the drip marketing. hoyoverse please give us something ! any crumbs will do😫 oh gosh i havent thought that much about the wriothesley x red riding hood! reader yet hmm but if i had to give some ideas:

headcanons below ~warning: a bit suggestive~

Pre-relationship headcanons:

the reader is this innocent little thing who is so sweet, kind, is good with animals and kids, and runs a bakery/cafe which is what caught Wriothesley's eye in the first place.

he had been at your shop before for some tea and knew you were the owner and you've seen him a few times in your shop, but you two had never really spoken.

in my headcanons, i see him as a gentleman so he's usually polite to anyone unless he knows you're a bad person/criminal

one day, he saved you from a couple of criminals who were bothering you. thats when you two finally spoke to one another. you were thanking him profusely for saving you. it would probably be too cute to him so he blushes a bit from how cute you are and gives you a slight smile saying its no big deal.

a few days pass and you find out where he works so you visit him to give him some homemade muffins as a thank you. this would cause the man to become more smitten with you.

even though I see him as not really being a sweets person, he'll eat your treats since you're the one who gave it to him. i mean, what kind of gentleman would he be if he let your treats go to waste.

after this, he would visit your shop more often just to see you and of course have some tea.

you guys would enjoy having conversations with one another and this would become a daily thing.

You would learn his order by heart, already having it ready when you knew he would show up soon. he would notice this and it would cause him to fall harder for you.

You guys would start off as friends of course but it would develop into something more as you got to know more about one another and spend more time together.

He would be the one to ask you out first and you say yes ofc. (he thought you looked so cute when you said yes and it made him happy !)

ofc it was an amazing first date ! he'd go a little bit all out. its your first date after all and its for you so he has to make a good impression ;)

Some relationship headcanons:

once this man falls for you, he falls hard (wolves mate for life)

always kisses your hand !!! he doesnt do that much pda except for that, a hand around your waist, a kiss on your head. he prefers more behind closed doors *wink wink*

When people see him showing affection towards you tho, they get shocked cuz those who don't know him think he's a bit of a scary dude based on his appearance and seeing him with an adorable, innocent s/o is surprising to them.

tea dates ofc

he's playful so playful bites/licks occur often and teases you

he loves hearing you laugh and smile. makes his heart race !

SOOO PROTECTIVE!

he has to protect his cute little innocent, kind darling, can you blame him🥺

he'd be like low-key possessive.

what i mean by that is by marking you. ofc with bite marks during your love making sessions but i could also see him gifting you a necklace with a crescent or symbol that symbolizes him.

it shows others that you're his and hands off!

or imagine its a little red hood that has his symbol on it and matches his cape ahhhh! that'd be so cute!

adding on to that, he's not really the jealous type because he knows you're his but when he sees you giving someone else more attention than him, he might get a little needy.

he just wants his little red riding hood to give him all of their attention and love

please play with his hair and give him scratchies

wouldn't be overly clingy but will hang around you a lot when he can like. like he has to be touching you in a way aka hugging you, you sitting on his lap, etc. or just having you near him while he works is enough

he's gotta make sure you are reminded daily that he loves you

he would be a little bit of a worry wart when he's not with you, always wondering if you were okay

HE IS DEVOTED TO YOU! he would do anything for you maybe even break the law for you👀 he is whipped

a family man

he would for sure want to have a family with you !

would probably want a big one (going off on the fact that wolf packs are usually around 6-10 members from what i read)

Sigewinne is already your guys' child. Its important for you two to get along and you do.

When he sees you two getting along, it makes him so happy !

his thoughts often lead to thinking about you two having a family of your own one day (sorta makes him feral🫣)

he would be the one to bring up the topic when the time is right.

if you said yes, he'd be happy and probably take you right there omg🤭

if you're not ready, he would be understanding, but if you're willing, you could always 'practice' until the time comes ;)

overall, 10/10 boyfriend

Cold hands (Freminet x gn!reader)

Synopsis: you ask Freminet why his hands are cold (inspired by that meme) pairings: Freminet x gn!reader fluff

It was a peaceful day in Fontaine, the sun was already starting to set making the sky turn into an orange hue.

The two of you sat on top of a hill under a tree getting a clear view of the ocean. The calming sounds of the ocean waves crashing against the shores and the soft humming of the birds above were all you could hear as the sun sank into the horizon.

You then leaned your head on his shoulder as you felt him his body tense before slowly relaxing as he also leaned his body towards you, his soft hair ticking you a bit but you didn't mind.

You grabbed his hand and started to fidget with it, you softly traced the lines on his hand with your finger, his hand was rather cold which was in complete contrast to your warm ones. You felt him get flustered by your touch and he was already blushing at the small contact.

"Hey...why are your hands so cold?" you asked in a quiet voice as you continued to fidget with his hand.

"U-uh, well cold hands are often a sign that your body is trying to maintain its regular body temperature. Always having cold hands, however, could mean there's a problem with your blood flow or the blood vesels in your head-"

His rambling was silenced by a soft chuckle, he turned his head to see you smiling and laughing and he couldn't help but smile fondly at you.

"Oh freminet, as much as I love hearing your voice,"— he blushed at the compliment— "that's not what I meant," you said after you calmed yourself. He tilted his head in confusion "Then, what did you mean by it?"

You sighed softly and shook your head. "Never mind it, although,"— you grabbed both his hands and grasped them together with yours.

"if your hands are still cold, I'll warm them up for you"

- With all the things Ei has lost...its obvious that she would be very overprotective of you..I mean..she knows how fragile humans are and how short their lifespans are..so..its better not to let you leave early....right?

- Expect the Raiden Shogun to sometimes follow you around, she's just worried ok!? With the Shogun’s eyes she can always see you...safe! So that’s what makes her mostly happy...is seeing you safe~

- She lets you in her Plane of Euthymia. Mostly makes it a more...pretty and peaceful place instead of scary...since she doesn't want you to be afraid whenever you want to visit her :)

- DON’T and I mean DON’T let her in the kitchen. She CAN’T COOK EVEN IF IT MEANS HER LIFES ON THE LINE. If you don’t wanna die of food poisoning...just cook something for her instead and make her STAY AWAY from the kitchen.

- If you know how to bake. Then she demands sweets from you EVERYDAY. Their just soo gooddd how can she resist them? and no need to worry about cavities she can just replace her teeth right?

- She’ll give you Japanese nicknames because she wants to :3

- Yae Miko would often tease you both(mostly you lol), but despite all that teasing...she is truly very happy that Ei found someone like you<3

- Ei will let you mess and style her hair, like it doesn't matter what she just wants you to touch her hair honestly...your touch is just soo smoothing and gentle that she just wants to lay on your lap while you stroke her hair... *sigh* she could stay like that for an eternity.

- Makoto and her friends would've liked you...she just knows it.

- Overall she is an overprotective yet sweet and very caring girlfriend but not really wife material hehe~

-The most slyest fox lady of all, she has no mercy and will leave you a blushing, stuttering mess just for her entertainment, What a bully >:0

- But don't worry there are sometimes where she isn't constantly bullying you and on those times she just coos over you~, by that I mean treat you like your a baby lol

- She has definitely make a novel about you, no doubt about it. Its painfully obvious who the novel was for LMAO

- You’re the only one (and Ei) that has FULL PERMISSION to pet/rub her ears and tail, as well as her true form!

- In her true form she loves to be on your lap being petted by you, its very relaxing for little foxy yae~

- She also loves her belly being rubbed BUT SHE DOESN'T TELL YOU THAT.

- She actually has no shame in flirting with you in public. Your reactions are everything to her, It just cures her boredom :)

- Just like a fox, she tends to be very possessive at times and a little too...insensitive.

- She scents you by always hugging you, and she marks you by sometimes biting you randomly-

- I feel like she would gift you flowers from time to time...idk why :0

- She sometimes gets nightmare about her parents and some other insecurities she has so please comfort her! Baby needs it :(

~Queen of Summer~ (Naganohara Yoimiya)

- The Queen of Summer and fireworks is the sweetest of them all!

- She knows that life isn't sometimes that fun and great but...she really doesn't like it when your not happy or smiling! So..whenever you feel down...she’s your shoulders lean on and cry :)

- She takes you with her sometimes to test her fireworks, but obviously you have to stay a few meters away, she doesn't want you getting hurt now~

- Since fireworks are her passion and pride she would MELT if she notices you taking an interest in it, she just appreciates and loves you even more!

- Yoimiya would take you with her to entertain the kids of Narukami island because she thinks with you she because even more brighter and she thinks the kids love you more :3

- When the shrine held the test of courage test and you guys attended even when you were scared...she reassured you that she would protect and keep you all safe~

- Very affectionate, even in public, like she understands if you don't like PDA that much but she’ll still sneak in a few kisses and hand holding here and there.

- She sometimes would fungal over you lol, idk I just see that for yoimiya lol

- Kokomi HATES it when you get hurt...she personally heals you whenever you would get hurt..blood is normal for her but blood on you? Not normal...its horrible!

- She sometimes sends little water fishes to watch over you, usually its just there to keep you company, like a seelie almost :)

- She has insecurities and doubts about herself...not only that she also has lots of pressure...so in times where she's at that state please remind her that she's doing enough for everyone :)

- Sara is protective. But not that protective that its overwhelming! She's only protective when she knows you can't handle the situation~

- A simp. For you and for the Shogun...too shy to tell you obviously-

- When you guys are together she's like your personal bodyguard or something..always behind you..glaring at anyone who looks at you funny..being menacing and overall being scary....

- Sara doesn't like it whenever you go somewhere dangerous and alone...she knows you can protect yourself very well but...she can't help but still worry..

- Whenever your not looking at her she's looking at you. Why do you ask? Cause she thinks that you’re the most beautiful person ever....

- When danger is there she instinctively goes in front of you and holds an arm in front of you yelling to get behind her, she is not gonna let you get hurt.

- She teaches you how to use a bow :)

- Sara is loyal to you, maybe even more then she's loyal to the Shogun, so consider yourself lucky~

disclaimer for those who come across this withotu reading my fic: this is a character analysis for yanqing in this fic. ignore canon. it holds no dominion here. thank you hoyoverse for the characters but ill take it from here. anyways, people say the fic is good, so consider reading?

anyways. IM SO EXCITED TO ANSWER THIS, forgive the long drabble youre about to read.

OK SO. first up standard YQ and JY.

YQ has been kept mostly in the dark about the sedition of IL, but he has a rough idea about what went down. in his head, it went like this: "something bad goes down and everyone abandons each other for self preservation."

this isnt... wholly right, but he's not entirely wrong either. the whole point is that YQ has only ever known the aftermath of the event---blade being angry and vengeful, JL being... herself, and then JY suffering almost constant heartache.

so, when he meets the younger JY, hes very... uncomfortable

not only is this version nothing like the general, hes also much happier. hes surrounded by people who YQ believes will one day abandon him entirely, causing him to spend the rest of his life grieving a group of people that never seemed to care for him as much in return. (note, this is how YQ sees it)

not only this, but seeing HCQ together makes him realise that he is closer to the general than any of the HCQ members were to JY---and devolves into a whole new crisis.

YQ has, for the past 10 or so years, been the general's closest confidant---his son, his only family, his apprentice and his best friend. knowing that he hasnt been able to make a dent in the grief left behind by people who don't appear to be more than his friends takes a large chunk out of YQ's self confidence, and he begins questioning how important he is to JY.

now, normally, YQ would bring this up with the general. but currently, thats not really possible. he tries, after losing to JL, but the more he talks to the younger JY, the more he starts seeing the JY he knows instead.

not only that, but the entire fact that he is in the past has YQ constantly on edge. he doesnt know if his actions will change the future he comes from, so having to watch this inevitable trainwreck forming around him without being able to help adds an extra layer of unease.

i was going to talk a bit about JL but i now realise i havent actually finished that chapter so were all just going to hafta wait for that!
