❆ synopsis ; beginning your second year of college and you feel youve hit rock bottom. on your own after your ex kicked you out, and taking on a seasonal job at a christmas shop to pay off student loans? everythings gone to shit. but then, you see him for the first time. and you realize there really was a little light in the darkness — your someone special.

you cant say you were all to proud of yourself now.

sure, you were a pretty incredible student by high school graduation, with a 3.9 gpa and all (not to mention making it to seoul national university with your beloved boyfriend).

but, that was a year ago.

who wouldve thought it was possible for your life to go so far downhill, in just a span of roughly over 12 months?

your parents had found a better job opportunity in london, but your mom wanted you and your brother to be nearby.

meaning doing so without running it by you of course, which led to her enrolling you into imperial college as a foreign transfer student.

your boyfriend was pretty upset, but nevertheless, followed you despite your best efforts telling him not to (which meant him forfeiting his scholarship at snu).

once your family first heard he would follow suit to london, they gave you an ultimatum. and stupidly, you chose love over family.

they never approved of him anyway.

it was fine for the meanwhile.

at least until you broke up, and he decided to place the blame on you.

it was your flat you bought with your own money anyway. what did he ever do for you? how dare he kick you out of your own home!

you watched while gyuvin pulled your luggage out the closet, pushing it towards you.

“what the hell are you doing!” you exclaimed as he began to pull your clothes off hangers and throw them towards your direction.

“helping you leave.” he muttered.

“what did i even do? you just wake up one day and decide its my fault you followed me to another continent despite me saying you shouldnt? i told you not to leave your dreams behind, and you chose to ignore me!”

“well maybe you didnt try hard enough! i just know that i dont feel the same about you now as i did then.”

“so thats it?” you scoffed. “you realize this is my apartment? i pay the rent. you just practically live here for free. you cant just kick me out of my own home!”

he only ignored you and shoved piles upon piles of clothing into 2 separate suitcases, before gently escorting you to the door.

“gyuvin. gyuv! kim gyuvin! you cant just leave me here!” you begged.

“im sorry y/n. but its over. maybe if you hadnt taken all that mattered to me we couldve worked out.” gyuvin spoke before slowly closing the door, leaving you out in the cold wearing only pajamas.

“what the fuck am i supposed to do now..” you whispered to yourself, thinking of the only possible places to go.

sure your number of options was minimal, but you began with the only person you thought you could count on anyway.

“what the hell are you doing here?” taesan expressed in shock while he stared at you standing at his front door.

“need somewhere to crash.. surprise?” you shrugged jokingly, trying to lighten the mood as you and your brother werent on the brightest terms.

“goodbye y/n.” he sighed as he turned to lock you out.

“han taesan you let me in this instant! you cant just leave me to die in the middle winter!” you exclaimed, stepping through the door frame so it couldnt close.

“wheres gyuvin?” he scoffed. “i mean, youre the one who left me with mom and dad to buy a house for him anyway.”

“we broke up. blamed me and said i was the reason he lost everything in seoul or whatever. and he still kicked me out of MY home.”

taesan let out a heavy breath, looking around before pushing the door out more for you to walk through.

“..you mean it?” you pondered hesitantly.

“i suppose. i know we warned you about him and all, but youre still my baby sister.” he half heartedly grinned, pointing his head in the direction of his hallway as a gesture for you to come in.

you knew he was still mad at you despite not showing it, but knowing your brother, hes still someone who you could rely on in any situation.

“yeah. and uh- just a heads up, i still live with jaehyun and leehan, plus we dont have an extra room so.. we’ll just figure it out later.”

“thank you.”

a week later and you were doing better than before. though it wasnt easy to forget the incident, you still managed with the new living situation and all.

you woke up bright and early the following morning for work, ready to sell christmas ornaments for the rest of your life under your boss, huh yunjin, as you were now on break from school.

considering jaehyuns bed wasnt all too comfortable, you still slept pretty well. youre grateful he took the couch for you during that first week. ‘maybe ill get him something as a thank you.’

“what are you doing up so early?” taesan asked, holding off on the toast he was about to eat as he watched you rush downstairs.

“got work. not like dads willing to pay student loans anymore right?”

“the christmas shop, still?” jaehyun asked from his seat on the couch.”

“cant have a full time job as a full time student. it just worked out while im on christmas break.”

your brother nudged you in your stomach, motioning for you to thank his friend for his deed.

“-oh and thanks for taking the couch. i owe you. if you want food or anything ill cover the cost and pick it up in return.” you continued.

“its fine. i get it, the last few days were rough. dont worry about it.” he smiled.

after a quick 10ish (or so) minute walk to the street side store you worked at, you realized you were about 5 minutes past the time you were meant to clock in for your shift.

walking into the store, it was no surprise it was already crowded by 8:36am seeing as christmas was 2 weeks away now.

“y/n! y/n get over here! where is your uniform?” yunjin questioned as more of a whisper yell.

before you got the chance to reply, she quickly cut you off and said, “nevermind that. just please hurry to change and come help me with all these people!”

you wave off her dismissive behavior, and speed walk to the bathroom, making sure to pass the lockers to grab your uniform on the way.

“i forgot how itchy this was..” you grumble as you slip on the ugly elf costume yet again before leaving to the front desk.

“welcome in! please let us know if theres anything you need help with!” yunjin smiled as another person walks through the door, putting on her customer service voice.

“guess you dont need me anymore?” you asked jokingly, noticing there was no one within a 10 foot distance of the check out line.

“why must you take so long to change? i only had enough time to help half those people. the other half left after mr smith came in to return all the ornaments he broke again. he really knows how to hold up a line.” she sighed, moving in the direction of a huge box of broken material.

“you cant keep letting them return damaged product. we are losing enough money as is, santa.” you gestured to her new character change yet again as you realize where a good chunk of the budget went. “what was wrong with the reindeer costume?”

“it didnt make it clear that im the owner. the shop is called santas workshop dont you know? cant call it santas workshop if theres no santa.”

you laughed brightly at yunjin while she picked up the box to bring it to the back, just as another person walked in.

“welcome in!-” you call out, before cutting yourself off as you caught a glimpse of his face.

he was pretty gorgeous, you couldnt lie. from what you noticed, he had shortish black hair and big eyes to compliment his soft lips (not to mention his build was pretty insane too. he definitely works out).

the very same guy who caught your attention came to you shortly after, seeking some assistance on picking a gift, so you were happy to comply.

“im not sure what she’d like. its hard shopping for a 14 year old.” he said.

“what’s your relation to her? just like so i know how close you are so its easier to help.”

“my younger cousin. we arent that close, but its our first family gathering in a while and my mom wants me to get something for everyone. but shes always been.. far from an open book. so im lost”

you thought long and hard about what your cousins around that age like, before coming to a final decision.

you attempt to reach for the legos, but you almost fall over as it was just barely out of reach, sitting on one of the higher shelves.

carefully, he steadies you by holding your arm and reaches to grab the item you were aiming at.

“this?” the guy questions as he hands you the orchid lego set.

“yeah! im not sure if it suites her or anything but you cant go wrong with legos. the price isnt too bad and its suitable for anyone at any age for the most part.” you shrugged.

“that actually.. makes perfect sense. youre really good at your job, no? thank you.”

“no worries. if theres anything else i could help you with, weve got a new selection of stuffed animals your girlfriend might like.” you spoke like it was nothing, acting as if you werent just trying to get information.

“i actually.. dont..i don’t have a girlfriend.” he chuckled awkwardly as he brought up a hand to rub the back of his neck.

“oh really? im surprised someone like you doesnt have a pretty girl on your arm.” you said nonchalantly while you attempted to hide your smile (as if you were going to make a move).

“oh stop!” he waved off when you pointed out how red his ears were getting, assuming you only were trying to boast his ego (hes so unaware)((please get the hint)).

you walk back with him to the register so he could pay after realizing there wasnt much more he needed. “that’ll be 45 charged to your card.” you smiled.

“thank you, ms..?” trailing off as he notices he never actually got your name.

“han. y/n han. glad to be of assistance.”

“oh and- one more thing?”

“sure, what else?”

“what time does the store close?”

“10 at night. extended business hours every saturday.”

“surely youre joking? theres no one else here but you and the owner! thats in like 13 hours. youre working a 14 hour shift?”

“yeah but i get paid way extra so its fine, i really do need it. and yeah we are beyond understaffed but its alright.” you laugh, masking your exhaustion and dread with a bit of your lighthearted energy.

“really? i could never, must be so tiring.”

“it is, beyond imagination. but we do what we can.”

“get home safely then alright? its scary leaving that late especially considering the predators go after pretty ladies.”

“youre a tricky one arent you! how dare you mask that as an attempt to flirt.” you gasp playfully, “ill be fine, its not that far of a walk.”

“walk? youre not really walking home are you?” “well yeah, its not like i can drive when i dont have a car myself.”

“by any chance, might you need-”

“y/n! leave the poor man alone! i need you to stock the shelves in the ornaments section!” yunjin calls out from the storage room and interrupting the conversation.

“ill get to it.” you call back.

“well, i should get going then. it really was lovely meeting you.” he smiles.

“thank you, take care!” you reply, waving as he leaves.

it only hit you many hours later (quite literally an hour before you clock out) that you never got his name, and you regret it oh so much!

even yunjin felt pity for you, multitasking and listening to you ramble about the mysterious man despite all the work she had going on whilst you both sat in her office seeing as there were no customers beyond 9:30pm.

“why cant we close early if theres no one coming past a certain time? its not like anyone needs to be christmas shopping at.. 9:49 at night.”

“its just in case theres anyone who needs something, we cant miss a chance to make more money when we’re low on rent money.” she reminded.

“its only 11 minutes though.”

“and where do you have to be in 11 minutes? you live with your brother and his two roommates with no boyfriend and instead worry about a man you just met.”

“ouch, you need to go out more.”

“y/n you know i love you but i have no time for that nonsense. i need to have fun, yes, but money is essential. clubbing and drinking does not get you there, we both know that.”

finally, the dreaded 11 minutes were up and it was time to lock up after a crazy long shift. though, you cant say you were looking forward to walking home after standing in heels all day.

it was all most as if your prayers were answered (or just by a really strange coincidence(?)) that someone on a motorcycle stopped in front of you as you crossing the street.

“heard you needed a ride?” the guy from earlier said as he took off his helmet.

“what are you doing here? its late out.” you replied, acting calm as if your heart wasn’t beating out of your chest.

“cant leave you to walk alone in the dark, can i, pretty lady?”

“youre smart, ill give you that.” you smile when you feel your cheeks go hot.

“ill take you home. come on.”

maybe it wasnt the best idea to give a stranger your address, but he seemed nice enough, and pretty trustworthy to say the least.

you sat behind him as he drove through the streets, with your arms wrapped around his waist, your chest flush against his back as you wore the helmet he let you borrow.

he was so naturally warm you felt his body heat through the sweater he wore, thankfully keeping you from being to cold.

soon enough you were home, and he was walking you up to the front door.

“thank you for today even if it wasnt all that much, i had a lot of fun. you made my work day more.. bearable.” you smiled.

“of course, you can always call if you need a ride or anything. dont want you getting sick when its storm season.” he reminded before slipping you a postcard with his number on it.

“id love to get to know you more, but i just broke up with my boyfriend last week.. give me some time?”

sure you technically were the one who found him attractive first but, you never actually thought about initiating something more.

he smiled without a second thought, nodding his head slightly. “of course, i understand. just know ill be here, waiting.”

“wait! i never got your name?”

“ill see you later y/n!” he called out as he left, driving off in the opposite direction.

you sighed and unlocked the door with the spare key leehan gave you, and notice him sitting next to jaehyun when you walked in.

“you have a boyfriend and you didnt tell me? how could you! i thought we were friends.” leehan expressed dramatically from the couch as you took off your shoes at the door.

“not a boyfriend, just a friend. why were you even- whatever. wheres taesan?”

“in the bathroom.”

“thanks. uh- jaehyun is it okay if i change in your room since i left my clothes there?”

“go ahead.” he reassured. “oh! also, by the time you come back the pizza we ordered should be here too.”

you close the door behind you and pull out the index card from earlier to save the number as a contact. however, you couldnt help but smile as you read what it said below.

“your personal uber when you need it! +44 28xxx0xx29 -xoxo gunwook park :)”

Obey Me! Lucifer & Mammon with a Goth MC! : basically my thoughts on what the brothers reactions would be, how they would handle having a goth partner, ext.

Hello!♡ this is my first time doing anything like this lol. Its probs gonna be bad at first, but ill work on it over time! Mammon couldnt be yellow, because i can't find the yellow, sorry. :< Feel free to reblog or leave you're thoughts in the comments! Add on to my ideas or whatever! Anyways enjoy my little idea. Sorry for any jokes, spelling errors, or grammar errors in advance! Without futher distraction, content!! ♡

Goth MC! who does the make up, the white foundation the "crazy" eyeliner, the black/grey or dark color eyeshadow and blush. Classic black or red lipstick with matching nail polish on the Mc's fingers. The saggy looking hair that matches the make up, oh so well. Goth MC! Who has the unkept look, but at second glance you can tell their well kept. At least to some extent. The Mc has raggy, ripped looking outfit but upon closer inspection its clear the outfit is perfectly kept up with. Goth MC! Who has an over extent looking outfit, looking like rags on rags, and the Mc has a dead looking apperance appearing to have risen from the grave. Almost the perfect example of a goth baddie. How will the brothers react?

Lucifer

When Goth MC! tumbles down into devildom for the very first time, the most of a reaction they'll see Lucifer give is raise of eyebrows, a subtle hint of curiosity.

Lucifer is oddly intrigued by this Mc. Him being the Avatar of Pride he takes appearance seriously. Not as serious as Asmo. Lucifer finds this MC to be endearing however. The way the MC seems to not care what others think of their appearance, captures his attention.

Lucifer originally thought it was the freedom Goth MC seemed to have that captured his attention. Maybe he wanted to be free of his prideful nature and be able to do crazy things like this MC. Bit dramatic Luci. Lucifer wanted to believe this, but he found his mind wandering to Goth Mc as he worked on paperwork. He apprectiated the look the MC has going. He thought it fit the MC perfectly, eventually he would tell the MC in attempts to swoon them. But for now he continues to sketch paperwork occasionally getting distracted by thoughts of Goth Mc.

Once Lucifer is dating Goth Mc, he compliements them constantly. Yes, there is the personality compliemnts but im talking compliements to the Mc's gothy aesthetic. "My dear, you look as heart stopping as a vampire." You'll either crack up at the almost dad pun. Or swoon at how it matches you're aesthetic. And hey? Who doesn't like being compared to a vampire?

Lucifer will treat his Goth partner like Goth royalty. We're talking the best goth attire. This Mc gets the best make up, outfits, accessories, you name it, Lucifer will get it, top price too. Although he would love his partner no matter what he has a reputation to upkeep so the best as always MC. Stop saying you feel bad he wants to be you're sugar daddy silly.

Lucifer will proudly take Goth MC out. Fancy restrauants, cute little outings, just grocery shopping together? He will either hold the Mc's hand or the Mc should hold his arm. If not his hand is on the Mc's lower back guiding them. One, for protection, two, he wants to show this Mc off. Especially if the Mc has talked about people being ashamed of their goth attire. Lucifer is proud of his Mc. He's proud to call the Goth little human his. So you should be proud too!

Lucifer adapts easily to understanding you. (If you tell him goth culture he listens and remembers what you tell him well) He doesn't even realize it at first but he slowly adapts to doing things in a gothic sense. Normally lucifer would give his partner red roses, but for this Mc it was always a black or grey type of flower, whether roses or anything he could find, he would get the flowers in a color that would fit the Mc's aesthetic choices.

Mammon

Mammon comes to get the Mc after the Mc arrive in devildom. Luci orders him to babysit us. So here Mammon comes marching angrily to pick the Mc up from R.A.D but when Mammon marches into the student council room, he stops dead in his tracks at the sight of the Goth Mc. Although the Goth Mc almost reminded him of his debt collectors, (the witches or something similar, just dark aesthetics thats what I assume the people Mammon gets in debt to look like) Mammon couldn't help but find the Goth Mc attractive. Mammon is so lost in thought that he'd be standing there staring at the Mc with his jaw dropped.

His brothers begin to tease him and the Mc manages to snap him out of his lovesick trance, Mammon immediately goes tsundare on the Mc. "Oi' what do you think you're doing human?!? Looking like some kind of a freak!! Did yah just crawl outta' a coffin?!?!" Mammon manages to say this with his hand covering his mouth, muffling his words to an extent. He is blushing like crazy and avoiding eye contact, telling the Mc everything they needed to know.

Dating Mammon is quite interesting. Goth Mc is drawn to darker things, maybe things considered "odd" or "scary" to other. But- "The Great Mammon doesn't get scared!!!" Oh great. Now hes sobbing and clutching onto the Mc for dear life. Council him and pretend he was a brave boy. He needs it man.

Mammon is really good with fashion, and when he has Grimm, he loves spending it. So he will get the Mc goth attire and make a big deal about it, how they should be grateful. yada yada although Mammon will never outright say it, he's just grateful the Mc accepts his gifts and chooses to be with him.

If anyone gives the Goth Mc problems over their attire, mammon is quick to defend the Mc. Doesn't matter who's saying it. Their wrong. Mammon knows a gem when he sees it. Thats treasure standing there, as a perfect goth little human.

Mammon goes to lots of places. On errands for the witches. He sees lots of stuff, when he sees stuff that matches Goth Mc's aesthetic, he will gladly get it for them. If he has the Grimm he pays, if not.... "Hey! I'm a demon, whadda'yah expect?!?" Can you really blame him? He just wanted to spoil his partner.

even though you already made a lot -6 months into it

he wouldn't show much interest

he would be more silent when you put it on him

but god bless him because he's awkward in a situation like this

but you didn't need a thank you because that dorky smile on your face made him smile so softly

and that made you smile even more

chishiya would help you gather materials for your craftiness

he loved watching you work and make

sadly he threw some of the ones you made that could break easily or were like made out of macoroni

but he never told you

he just said he lost some of them

soon, you started ditching your bracelet/keychain hobby

because you were busy of course

i mean so was chishiya but he secretly missed your little crafty moments

he kept any bracelets and keychains he had left from you

he kept it in a small chest box on his desk

chishiya secretly wore that sky blue bracelet under his sleeves any time

even when working in the hospital

he has it on

and then one day you asked chishiya if you could come over for a bit

because you both had a day off and you had nothing else better to do

with a lot of persuasion, he said yes

and then you came in, admiring his little apartment

and then you saw it

the lil bracelet on his desk

you would let out the biggest squeal of the century

and chishiya, being a big tsundere, told you it wasn't what it looks like

"you kept iiiiiiiiittttt?????"

"kept what? thats a medical bracelet. its none of your business"

and then like quickly puts the bracelet back into the chest collection

you knew he wanted to drop the topic

and you wanted to tease him so badly

but you just couldnt stop with the biggest stupid smile on your face

chishiya hated how much it made you so fucking happy and ecstatic

because he wanted to smile and giggle with you. about how he kept everything

so he just told you to shut it and act like nothing happened

but he couldnt chat with you properly because that big cute smile on your face was distracting him

later, you snuck a peek into the chest to find all the things you made and gave him when he wasnt looking

but he noticed

because you were even smiling bigger and like a dork

like- just so dorky

you were so giddy

but he didn't do anything about it because..

he cant

he knew that you weren't going to let this go

I'd like to add that if you ever got into the borderlands with him,

you'd notice that he has the bracelet on at all times

and there was never-ending teasing from you

he would turn down anyone who notices it!

if you weren't there in the borderlands, and it was just him,

chishiya would just look at the bracelet when things go wrong

he so subtle tho

I love seeing realistic kids like Atreus who gets cocky when he learns he isnt sick or cursed like he's believed his whole life but he's a god, because it's REALISTIC, a 12 year old kid learning he has powers would get cocky, he got knocked some sense into in the end and that's what matters.

I like seeing the violent shifts between his character arcs; this is how 12 year old kids are they're all or nothing!

I LOVE RAGNAROK ATREUS! He's awkward, he's a dumbass, he makes mistakes, he talks back, has outbursts- he's a teen! He thinks he's invincible and untouchable and we get to see him be beaten, wounded and corrupted. We see the whole process of growing up! We see a character, a person growing in and out of toxic phases and learning from their mistakes!

Atreus is a work in progress he's not finished yet, not ready to go on his own he still needs and seeks guidance, which is why he gets corrupted, why he gets trapped and controlled by Odin but once he's ready he goes, he leaves. He leaves to live on his own and to finish his work in progress on his own, with purpose and his father's voice in his head. And that's growing up for you.

I recognize myself easily in Atreus, a kid who had to grow up too fast due to some event regarding his mother, who sees the best in people no matter what has been done or has happened to him, who has had to evolved and skip important steps of his evolution to get to where his father needed him to be at the moment. A kid who does his best and still manages to fuck up and disappoint a father who was absent during his childhood but is now very real and present in his life though not yet emotionally available but he's getting there, you can do it dad/Kratos. But at the same time the father is very proud of the kid because he's his kid still but he's kind of a dumbass sometimes, but he doesnt know how to communicate his feelings correctly and thinks the kid already know it but he doesnt actually but the kid doesnt dare ask for it just in case this might be a mistake as well.

I see myself in Atreus because I too have lost a mother and gained a father and I too am struggling with what is my purpose in this world. So i make mistakes. Because that's what happens when you grow up. You fuck up. Atreus is a great character I'm really proud of his evolution.

All that to say: If you do mistakes; good. Grow, learn from them, take from them what you can. And even if they suck, if they're scary as fuck you cant avoid them so embrace them. Like a fucking tornado in the face. Just avoid freeing giant dogs from Helheim. Also; be as awkward and as much of a dumbass as you can while you can; do stupid shit. Have fun. Be a kid, be a teen while you can cause some people couldnt.

TLDR: Atreus is a realistic character that I love dearly and we may have the same backstory somehow. Also: be dumb, make mistakes and break the elderly with your awkward references and social skills!

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Jake and Y/N stood outside of their fathers apartment door after he bailed on them, once again. She could see how tense her brother was, from the frown on his face to the clench in his fist. Polar opposite to how he usually felt. "I have to, or hes going to keep doing it" She whispered an okay before giving his hand a reassuring squeeze, letting him know that she was right there with him, before knocking on the door. A few moments later, the door opened and Roger Peralta looked surprised to see them. "Jake! Y/N! I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the party" he started to say and Y/N could already feel an excuse coming, "I'm subbing for a buddy who's got an early flight, I'm sure you're upset" There it is. "No, actually. I'm not upset at all" She wanted to say something, but Jake was finally standing up for himself and she wasn't going to stop him. "yeah? great" She wanted to wipe the stupid smile off his face, not believing he could be this clueless to think Jake actually wasn't upset. "No, more relieved. You know you were always my hero, but i think i'm finally starting to see you for who you really are. A regional airline pilot whose landings are bumpy as hell and a pretty selfish guy who genuinely doesn't care about being a dad" She couldn't be more proud of her brother and agreed with every word he just said. "Jake, you don't understand. There was a downdraft on the drummondville runway." The Peralta patriarch kept looking at Y/N out of the corner of his eye, feeling uncomfortable under her glare. "It's not my fault" It never is. "Look, i've been making excuses for you my whole life, no matter how many times Y/N told me not to. But you're a pretty crappy father, and until you're ready to be a good one, don't call me" Y/N wanted to jump for joy. She couldn't remember the amount of times she envisioned this moment happening, and to see the shocked expression on their fathers face made it worth the wait.

"Also, im taking your captains hat cause it's cool and I want it" Jake spoke as he reached into the apartment, grabbing the hat from the table that was beside the door, before putting it on. "Go on without me. I'll meet you outside, there's something I need to say" He looked at her as if to say, are you sure? After a reassuring nod, he gave his sisters shoulder a squeeze before heading down the hallway and making his way outside. Not before sending one final glare towards Roger. Y/N waited till she didn't hear Jakes footsteps anymore before turning towards her father once again. "You really messed up this time" Roger went to defend himself, but she held a hand out, not letting him get a word out. "Save it. You're always full of excuses" Y/N couldnt hold her anger back much longer. Years of pent up rage just threatening to burst free. "Jake has been nothing but loving towards you. Even when you don't deserve it. And you show up all of a sudden acting like you want to spend time with him, when all you want to do is use him for your own selfish gain. You should be ashamed of yourself!" "Now hold on..." "I'm not done" He shut his mouth quick enough, surprised at the way his daughter was speaking to him. Y/N was finally letting all of her feelings out and it was making her feel lighter and lighter by the second. "I have spent my whole life trying to protect Jake, and I would like to think i've done a damn good job. So if you don't get serious about being in his life, dont bother coming back. It doesnt matter to me, i've gotten used to you disappointing me, but i'll be damned if I let you hurt him again" Roger Peralta had never felt so put in his place before, but there was also a small feeling of pride. Knowing just how much his children cared for one another. He couldnt think of anything to say, but it didnt matter. Even if he did, he watched as Y/N turn around and walk away at a fast pace, wanting to get away from him as fast as possible. When she got outside, she saw her brother sitting on the front steps of the building with his head in his hands. She carefully approached him and sat beside him on the cold steps, lightly nudging his arm. "Hey, dont think about him, we're better off" He tiredly ran his hands down his face while letting out a long sigh, "I'm so dumb, how could I not see this coming" "Hey, youre not dumb" she protested as she wrapped her arm around is shoulders, not wanting him to feel bad about himself, "you're just a hopeful person, thats a good quality to have" He looked over at her with a small smile, "What did I do to deserve an amazing sister like you" "I dont know, something amazing in a past life" They both laughed before standing up and heading to Y/Ns car, heading back to Shaw's bar where their work family was waiting for them.

That’s the one from this post (with an opening scene here) but to summarize; outsider pov of a new recruit learning about Captain Buck Diaz’s legendary rivalry with another station’s Captain Diaz but uh oh oops wuh oh I got my angsty little hands all over it and got too attached to the probational firefighter I made up and gave her family drama. She grew up in Boron, California (Buck is enthusiastic when he learns this and starts spouting facts about the town [Named after the element! Second largest source of boric acid in the world!] and she’s like how in the fuck did you know that and he claps her on the back and says I think I’ve probably read about half of Wikipedia at this point in my life) and her dad was a firefighter there, she was going to UCLA to get a chemical engineering degree to work in one of the refineries or other industry in her town that’s sprouted from the mines, but when she gets word that her dad died she drops out to become a firefighter. She also grew up gay in a small town and could never get femininity to sit right on her but god she tried so hard, and it was fine when it was this open secret but when she actually came out to her dad he did not accept her. I picked Boron because I googled “town furthest away from hospital California” asdfgsdfg he had a heart attack and the firefighters got to him in time but they couldnt get him to the hospital fast enough. Anyway now at the 118 she talks about him like he’s still alive and leaves him voicemails about LA and the team and everything, and Buck has started calling her John, which is a nickname her dad called her when she was little, and she cuts her hair short and has a bit of a gender crisis as she slowly accepts herself as butch and more comfortable presenting masculine, and Buck is just so happy and supportive and eventually she breaks down and admits her father is dead and she’s following in his footsteps and it breaks her heart that he wouldn’t be proud of her he never wanted her to be a firefighter he didn’t think it was a girls job but she loved him so much and he loved her so much and god now shes weeping in the back of the engine and Buck is very gentle about it all (you KNOW he’s been telling Eddie all about this kid, you KNOW he calls home after this like Eddie is it legal to adopt a full adult. How mad would you be if I brought a probie home) and then we wouldn’t even see Eddie till the end of the fic where they all work the same scene and John is like shit the rivalry are they gonna fight?? There’s certainly some kind of energy between them… and then Eddie gets his shoulder dislocated and Buck is calm and professional getting him out of the building but but as soon as a paramedic has popped it back in they collapse into each other a little and theres some tasteful kissing and like imagine both of them with gray in their hair and really good at their jobs after doing them so long and still so in love and bantering with each other… John is flabbergasted and Buck is like literally if you accepted my invitation to the family barbecues you would have found out about all this much sooner

#i cant decide if chimney still works at the station. i kind of like it because of his I was the first one here Ill be the last one to leave #attitude but i imagine this is like 15 years from now so he’d be very near retirement age #i think hen is retired or maybe a doctor #Bobby definitely retired but still cooks for everyone all the time and maybe even brings food into the station occasionally #Chris is getting his masters degree somewhere another factor in Buck wanting to bring the probie home he’s suffering empty nest syndrome

The Island

A/N: this has been sitting in my documents for forever and I finally finished and editted it. Its was inspired by @reds-ramblings story.

It's been ten years since we found Hannah. Ten years since I last saw him, expect on TV or the courtroom. He kept his promise and so did I. We met in Duskwood, I saw him before anyone else from the group for a night. It was heated, emotional, and passionate. However, he decided to turn himself in so we can live a life together one day. We had no idea that from one night together, we would have a little one. I was unable to see him while he was in prision even with his daughter, because we weren't officially family. I waited, Hannah and Lilly kept him updated on me and Faye.

Oh Faye, shes the spitting image of him, even ten years later she's loving computers. I never forgot what he told me before handing himself over to the FBI "MC, I love you but don't wait for me." I couldnt see anyone else because my heart was taken.

Ten years ago my heart shattered as he was arrested. Five years ago I decided I needed to change something and I remember him telling me about someone he knew that owned an island with a resort. The whole group decided to go and I fell in love with the place. Faye and I made it a yearly trip, until this year. I saw the man was selling it and I had the savings and could get the loan so I did the irrational thing. Jake would have been the only one to talk me out of it.

Fast forward to today, I'm standing on the boat waiting for the gang with Faye. The cool spring breeze is on my face and I smell the salt in the air. Jake would be so proud of me for these last year.

"Mom, when can I see Dad?" She asks, so excited for that moment.

This is a conversation I know too well and it breaks my heart. "Hopefully soon he should be out."

I see the cars pull up and everyone gets out. However I see an extra person and my heart jumps out of my chest.

Hannah and him walk up to the boat together and I finally see his face clear and run off the boat, almost falling. He grabs my waist and looks into my eyes.

"Hi, MC" he says with the smile that just melted my heart 10 years ago.

"Is this real? Are you really my Jake?" I ask as tears run down my cheek.

"I am" he say wiping them away.

"I wanted to surpise you with how much you've been working on this place and taking care of Faye" says Hannah.

"Oh my god! Your daughter" i exclaim. I go to turn around to call her and he grabs my chin and kisses me deep.

All concerns of everything in that moment leaves my body. I wrap my arms around his neck not wanting to pull away.

"Hey there are kids around" says Dan as he pushes past us.

We finally break the kiss and I lean into his chest. I turn around and I see Faye, looking at us and blush.

"Sweetie, this is your dad" I say with tears in my eyes.

Jake lets go of me and reaches out for her. "Hi Faye," he says with a smile and she jumps in his arms.

I look at them then look at Hannah. "You have no idea how happy you just made both of us" I say to her, her brown eyes the total opposite of Jake's and Lillys blues.

"I have an idea. I know she's been asking about him a lot lately." She says.

Watching Jake just hold her, melts my heart. My family is finally whole after 9 years.

Everyone finally gets on the boat and as always when taking out of the dock Faye runs to the front. She leans against the rail and I watch her.

"She's just like you, carefree" I hear Jake say.

"She's also yours. She's stubborn, reserved, loves computers. I swear she took after you more then me." I say watching her.

Jake spins me around looking into my eyes. "Why didn't you move on?" He asks.

"I tried but I had found out I was pregnant with Faye right after and I knew she was yours. In that moment, I knew I had to be strong so when you did get out we could be a family." I say as I look away. "I mean if that is what you want" as I bite my lip.

He lifts my chin, "I very much do. Hannah kept me uodated on you and her everytime she came to visit or we talked on the phone. I instantly knew who she was because Hannah showed me pictures." He says brushing hair away from my face.

"I want you to know, I tried to visit and get on your call list for Faye's sake '' I say looking into his eyes.

"I know you did. My lawyer told me but because we were not engaged and they didn't want to do a DNA test on her you couldn't get even her on the list.."

"Yeah" I say wanting to kiss him again. All of sudden I feel another set of arms around me and I see Faye.

"Mommy, you look so happy today" she says hugging me then running to her seat.

I blush and go to follow her. "They got her for a moment" Jake say grabbing my hand. "I got out a couple days ago and I knew I wanted to be with you." He says and I can see he's getting nervous. "So when Hannah told me you had bought this place and fixed it up, i thought it would be a perfect surprise."

"Jake, I want to be with you also" I say grabbing his face. "Seeing you get out of the car with the group my heart I swear jumped put of my chest."

"MC, will you officially be mine?" He asks.

"I mean we hav to make sure its okay with Faye'' I laugh "but yes jake!" I say wrapping my arms around him.

He kisses me deeply and passionately again. Once we pull away to catch our breath, I look up at him.

"Yeah Faye is staying in the room with the other kids" I say with a smile.

"I do want some father daughter time if she wants it" he says, looking into my eyes.

"Oh she definitely will. She's been asking nonstop questions about you and a lot of them I cant answer. What she wants most is to spend time with you."

The boat docks and everyone runs off towards the resort. I smile watching Faye with her cousins. Jake is up there playing with the kids as I finally get off the dock.

"MC, your girl is right, you are happier" says Dan as he comes walking back to me.

"For nine years I waited for this and I never imagined she would take to him like this" I say with a tear in my eye.

He pulls me close "she wants to know him and see her mom happy" he says.

"I just hope we can make it work. We never had a chance and now if it doesn't her heart will break too." I say hugging him.

"Hey don't think like that. I'll tell you something I probably shouldn't but your a sister to me." He says with a sigh.

"Well spit it out Dan" I say with a laugh.

"The last few days when he was around Hannah, Lilly, and the kids he just kept asking about you and her. Wanting to know everything possible from everyone."

"Wait so everyone knew he was coming?" I say as I start walking to them.

"Yeah but with all on your plate we agreed to make it a surpise. Seeing your face light up from the boat and run towards him was worth it, MC" he says following me.

Faye comes running up with Jakes hand in hers "mom!" She calls and he follows her. "Can we go out on the water in those boats?" She asks.

"Sure, find one of your cousins to go with you." I say meeting them half way.

"But mom, I wanted to go with Dad" she whines.

I look at Jake in shock, then look back at her. I crouch down to her and try to be gentle with my words. "I want everyone to test them out including the smaller ones for you kid" I say trying to reason with her.

She pouts and runs off to find one of the kids to join her and I stand up.

"Did that really just happened?" Ask Dan

I look at Jake and he's just as surpised as me. "Yeah she called him Dad already '' I say looking at Dan.

He walks past Jake and taps his shoulder "good luck man. She's a real wild one just like her mom" he laughs as he walks past us with his bag.

"Sorry I wasn't expecting that" I say blushing.

"Neither was I. Dan's right you know, shes wild like you" he says wrapping his arms around me.

We walk hand and hand inside where everyone is and i give them all their keys. Jessy and Cleo agreed to stay in the room with the kids, even adding Faye to the bunch. I take Jake up to my room and grab the extra key I have and hand it to him. "If we are really going to try and make this work…" I say lost in thought as Faye comes running in.

"Mom! I thought I was staying in here with you!" She whines.

I turn away from Jake and as Im about to say something Jake steps in. "Your Mom and I talked, we think you could use some time with your cousins on this trip" he says in a smoothing voice.

I look at him and realize how much he's already stepping in as a parent and it melts my heart to the point I want to lock the doors and stay in bed with him this whole trip.

She whines and stomps away grabbing her bag. I hear her say something under her breath.

"Don't even go there missy" as I raise my voice to her.

She turns around "he just came into my life and your taking him away from me" she yells.

I walk up to her and sit on the bed in front of her. I take a sigh as I try to find the right words. "Faye, you need to understand your father and I need to figure some things out before we jump in as a family. I promise you will have tons of time with him apart of your life. He can teach you all that computer stuff you've been struggling with and take you out for icecream and have fun." I say looking into her eyes.

She come closer to me, "will you be there too?"

I look at Jake then back into her blue eyes, "yes" i say not wanting to break her heart more right now. "Go get ready though to go out on the water."

She gets the biggest smile on her face and runs to the bathroom. I look at Jake and sigh hoping I just made the right call.

He comes picks me up, wrapping his arms around me. "You're doing amazing raising her. Just know I am here now and don't plan to leave anytime soon" he whispers into my ear.

"I know you don't but what if…" he stops me mid sentence with a gentle kiss.

"No what ifs right now, MC. We will figure this all out together." He says

Its later in the day, we had a fun day st the water and around the island just all of us. We finally get all the kids into bed and we all head outside to the firepit that Dan and Thomas started for us.

Jake pulls me close in the seat were both in and he feels me cold. He takes off his hoodie and gives it to me.

"Its okay the fire will warm me up" I say looking at him.

"MC dont be stubborn just take it" he whispers into my ear with a growl.

My body shivers knowing what he wants after ten years and I put it on. It smells just like him and I curl up against him.

Jessy is the first to notice how close we are right now. "Okay we need to talk about the elephant in the room. What is going on with you two?" She asks.

"Yeah I think we have the right to know if you're not going to tell Faye" says Lilly.

I look at Jake for some form of help but he's just watching me. "We're seeing what happens." I look af them as I say it. "You all know how much we were in love ten years ago . Obviously things happened that one night. '' I laugh.

"We know how you two felt back then" says Dan.

"Yeah but what about now?" Asks Hannah.

"It's pretty obvious" says Cleo. "They are still in love."

"We are seeing where things lead. There is another heart we have to both make sure doesn't break" states Jake.

After a couple hours around the fire everyone starts to dwindle inside and while the fire is out Jake and I just sit there. I finally decidd to get up but he grabs my hand and pulls me back down.

"There's something I want to show you" i say looking into his eyes.

"Wanted to make sure you weren't leaving" he says.

"Definitely not there is a gorgeous spot that looks out over the water. It's not far fron here" i say standing up but taking his hand.

It's nearly midnight but with being with Jake I'm wide awake and we walk up to the spot. In the moonlight its even more breathtaking

All you see is the darkness of the water and the moonlight over the cliff and hear the water crashing below. He pulls me close and between the smell of him, the smoke, and the salt water my mind is totally lost as he wraps his arms around my waist with my back to him.

"MC, are you really worried things wont work?" He asks.

"I am because its not just are hearts at stake. I have for the past ten years had someone else to watch out for. It's only day on and she loves you" i say taking a deep breath.

"I always want to be there for both of you" he says.

"I know you do Jake. However we both know that last time we were together it was passionate and strong. We didnt think about the future in that night and let things happen." I say turning towards him.

I see the love in his eyes as the moonlight hits him. I feel the warmth of him even through his hoodie I'm wearing. I lose all control over my emotions of trying to keep my heart safe for Fayes sake and kiss him like when I saw him on the dock. This time noone is around to stop us and i feel his hands move to my neck and my ass pulling me even closer as we can't stop what is going to happen.

Jakes POV

I wake up to the sun coming up over the water and I see her. She's still sleeping on my chest my hoodie is over both of us as a blanket and our clothes are on the ground. I want nothing more then to keep this feeling locked away forever but I know i need to wake her up. I kiss the top of her head and she stirs awake.

"Good morning beautiful" I say with a smile.

"Good morning handsome" she says looking up at me with a smile. "Oh shit we should get back.” As she sits up and realizes we're both naked.

I pull her back to me, this time kissing her gently. Ahe pulls away again but all concern is gone. She reaches for our clothes and we get dressed. She throws on my hoodie which looks good on her and I take her hand.

"I guess we really are giving this a true chance" she says looking towards the water.

I grab her chin and direct her to look at me. "My love, did we even have any other choices.

She shivers as she looks into my eyes, "not really. Your my home" she says as she leans info me.

MC pov:

We walk back to the resort and thankfully as we walk in the front door it doesn't sound like anyone is away. We walk up to the room and see Faye sleeping in the bed.

"I knew she wouldn't make it the night," I says softly with a smile. I walk away from Jake and lift her up. I goes to carry her out of the room but he takes her.

"How about we do pancakes for everyone?" He ask.

"Pancakes?" A sleepy Faye states while Jake holds her.

"Give me a few moments, okay?" I ask, smiling at Jake holding her.

He kisses my cheek and lays Faye down. I grab change if clothes and head into the bathroom. At this moment I'm so thankful I have my phone. I pull up the messages and see Jessy is online.

MC: oh my we need girl talk!

Jessy: did you even sleep?

Mc: i mean if you count a few hours outside 😜

Jessy: coffee with girl talk?

MC: we're gonna make pancakes. Oh by the way good job keeping Faye in the room last night. 🤣

Jessy: she wouldn't have it and I didnt want her to wake up the others.

Mc: its okay we actually found her this morning in the bed. But going to clean up and head down to the kitchen with Jake and Faye.

There's a knock on the bathroom door "mom, dad and I are heading to the kitchen to start pancakes" Faye says.

"Okay I'll be right down" i say. I smile at her love already for him.

MC: Jessy! Come here so we can talk

Jessy: okay I'll be right over.

I hear them leave and a few minutes later there is a knock on the door. I open and its Jessy wearing her PJ. I grab her hand and pull her in.

"Girl, what am I going to do?" I say so worried.

"Look, he wants to be part of her life no matter what so just let this run its course."

"No you don't understand. We did it last night out on that cliff I told you about. All it took was once and we got Faye. I don't know if i could handle it if it doesn't work and us having two kids" I say breaking down.

Jessy grabs my shoulders "don't think of it like that. You're an amazing mom and he's showing he wants to be around." She says.

"Jessy, wait if all we have is passionate love explodes and then its nothing. We've never had the chance to see if we can keep these feelings" i say looking at her with tears in my eyes.

She pulls me in for a hug "just take it a day at a time sweetie. Also would it really be bad if you guys had another one?" She laughs. "That man is madly in love with you."

I realize she is telling me the truth. Jake and I need to take this a day at a time together and learn each other and build a family with Faye.

hello!! i wanted to ask what you think about the cell arc and cell in general :-) it’s my absolute favorite arc and i just love cell so much, i don’t have anyone to discuss my dragon ball thoughts with so i’m excited to hear what you have to say😄

HELLO i have lots to say so buckle in LOL

overall, when ranking the Z arcs, i unfortunately have to put cell arc at the bottom. THAT DOESN’T MEAN ITS BAD BY ANY MEANS THOUGH !!! i love the cell arc, i love cell, i love gohan, i love trunks, i love the androids. its just that when i compare it to the other arcs, it falls a little short lol..

i think the reason i rank it so low compared to other arcs largely has to do with goku and vegeta’s (separate) character arcs lol. it’s both of their WORST arcs by far. neither of them are ever present, and when they are present… theyre not making the best decisions lmfao specifically vegeta man i cannot STAND him in cell arc he really really gets on my nerves. goku is more understandable and requires a deeper explanation but vegeta simply just SUCKS in this arc lmfao

this is gohan’s best arc tho by far. and if ur a fan of side characters like piccolo and krillin then cell arc is a great arc for u ! this is basically everyone’s best arc but goku n vegeta lolol

dont even get me started on cell himself.. >_< 💕 he’s such a handsome guy lol there’s a lot of weird homosexual tension between him and goku for some reason IM NOT COMPLAINING THO i eat that shit up im a cellku lover til death 🔥✊

also i love trunks so much omg literally one of the best characters in fiction period. full stop. i adore that boy 🫶

i guess i’ll discuss the goku senzu scene too LMFAO .. since it needs to be said…… people are incredibly harsh on goku for giving cell a senzu bean. like, TOO harsh. he wasn’t doing it maliciously and he wasn’t doing it out of stupidity, as everyone in this dumbass fandom claims. goku is smart okay if you disagree thats fine but ur wrong, he’s very smart when it comes to battle and he wasn’t really considering gohan’s feelings about fighting when planning to awaken ssj2 in him. like .. okay .. the way i see it is that goku’s whole existence revolves around fighting and battle and growing stronger. its all he thinks about all day every day. and to want his son to be as strong as he can be isn’t an act of selfishness, it’s goku’s way of trying to help and bond with gohan. his heart is in the right place seriously he isnt trying to be selfish at all its just… actually a very smart way to approach it, its just that goku wasn’t really considering what gohan wanted because he couldnt fathom anyone not wanting to grow in strength.. he is proud of gohan and wants him to be the best he can be.. idc idc goku is a good dad. we all fuck up sometimes okay he’s a way better dad than fucking vegeta by any and all measure i’m sorry its true tho lol i’d go into this more but i feel kinda weird having this whole analysis of one scene in the middle of this otherwise brief arc review so 😭 i’ll move on

all in all cell arc is rly great, theres constantly shit happening and everyone is in deep distress 100% of the time which is rly entertaining to watch lmao its also a great arc for a lot of characters, other z fighters who arent goku and vegeta get the chance to shine in this arc and thats epic. unfortunately tho vegeta is unbearable and goku is …. debatably questionable in this arc so it goes at the bottom for me 💔 still adore it tho

synopsis: youre a 15 year old girl from finland. youre on a vacation with your family in germany, and youre hanging out with tom. tom asks you how your schools been and you get so exited you tell all the drama youve had along the year. ending up not even knowing for how long youve been talking for.

a/n: this is the first story ive written please be kind to me 😭 but give creditsss🫶🏻

i met tom when i was on a vacaiton with my family when i was 10. my mom knew a friend from there, and my dad was there just because he was forced to. he is american and thinks germany is just a dumb country. me and tom were together the whole vacation and we were both really sad when i needed to go back to finland. we still held contact and i got my family to go to germany every summer so i could meet tom. now were bestfriends.

we were hanging out in toms room at the time. i got my family to stay in germany for a month and i was so happy. and i got to stay at toms place for the whole month, of course. this is the longest time ive ever been in germany.

i was laughing with tom as he shared a silly story that happened to him in his school last year. it was something like a friend of his had pranked a teacher and the teacher got so scared she called the police. his friend got in big trouble after it. but the funny thing was that, it was all toms idea, and they had made a deal that if toms friend got caught, he couldnt tell the police and teacher that it was toms idea, he had to say it was his.

"thats such a dumb deal, how could he argree to that?" i said laughing.

"i dunno, maybe cause hes dumb as hell?" tom said smiling proudly. that stupid proud smile. i hit him in the shoulder playfully. we were just laughing and chilling when tom came up with a question.

" well what about you, hows school been?" he said tilting his head to the side, looking deeply in my eyes. when he asked me that question, i realized how much drama ive had in school this year with my "friends."

"you wont believe if i tell you" i said smiling. "theres too much drama for it to be real" i said chuckling.

"nooo i love listening to others drama, because in my school everyone just pranks pepole and fails, always" he said. i stayed silent smiling.

"come on, spill the tea!" he said shaking my shoulders. i laughed at his impatience.

"okay, okay, jeez" i said laughing. it never really crossed my mind that i never got the chance to talk to anyone about my drama in school cause all my "friends" were fake and caused the drama.

"so, in the beginning of the school year..." i started. i told every detail of every argument and toms reactions to them were :

"no she did not" or "girl wtf you cant do that" hes reactions were literally priceless. i was a little shocked that he actually cared about my teenage girl drama, most pepole just avoid them.

i didnt even know for how long we were gossipping for, so i looked at toms clock above his door. i took a quick glance, and looked away, but then i snapped. the last time i checked the time it said, 15:09. now its, 18:48, my eyes widened.

"tom we have been talking for like 4 hours!" i said in shock.

"yeah? and? talking is fun with a nice person" tom said calmly, smiling. i was kinda relieved when he said hes fine with it, because many pepole get annoyed of me when i talk too much, but tom didnt.

"oh, so youre not mad?" i asked, still a little unsure if hes actually fine with it.

"why would i be mad? thats such a dumb question" tom chuckled. i smiled a little.

"no but seriouly why would i be mad. i havent seen you in a year. ofcourse i wanna know whats been happening" he said comforting. my smile widened immediately. he smiled back at my reaction.

"but. i dont think you finished your little story, would you like to tell me what happened after that?" he said exited. like some 5 year old fr.

"of course, so..." i continued my little story until the school year ended. when i was done talking, tom was staring at me with his jaw dropped. then he snapped

"how are you still alive, like, after all that?" he said confused, but in a funny way.

"i dunno, its just teenage girl life" i said smiling.

we decided to watch a movie, and when the movie ended, i felt so tired. i pleced my head on his chest, snuggling into him. i didnt really realize i was cuddling him at first but then i asked

"is this okay?" i asked looking at him.

"yeah, of course" he said looking back at me, playing with my hair. then i just closed my eyes, laying my head back at his chest. i didnt fall asleep immediately, but the last thing i heard was

"maybe next year ill be coming to finland" then i fell into a deep sleep
