For the first time in months you had an entire day with nothing planned. You got out of bed to have your breakfast and quickly decided this day would be spent relaxing in bed, reading, napping or watching tv. Just a calm and peaceful day.

Typically a day like this would be impossible. Usually a brother or two would be yelling about something, Lucifer would end up lecturing them, sometimes there were visitors that required you to be out and interacting. Not today though, for the first time in centuries the House of Lamentation was quiet for once.

During breakfast all the brothers had announced their plans for the day. Lucifer would be in his office finishing a stack of papers per usual, Satan was taking the day to reorganize part of his room, Asmodeus had a date with Solomon, Leviathan had an all day marathon of one of his anime dramas to watch, and the twins had to go buy Belphie a few new pillows after a late night accident involving Beel sleep eating again.

That left just one demon, the one who you expected to have some sort of photo shoot to attend or a new money making scheme to pitch however after his brothers left, Mammon had asked to spend the day with you seeing as he had no plans of his own for once.

You were thrilled, it wasn’t often that you got alone time with the Avatar of Greed and when you did it was usually pretty hectic. You informed him of your lazy day plans, he called you boring but followed you to your room anyway.

Yall I got my baby free day! And I even got it overnight. My anxiety was a mess leaving the baby overnight but I sucked it up. We even went to a friends house for a few hours and I didnt cry about it! Didnt sleep in because #momclock but I stayed in bed till 10 before getting up to make breakfast for me and papa! (also im really sorry) so like, in mortal coil when erskine is flirting with tanith we clearly see that ghastly got kinda down about it, but i dont think its jealousy?? its more of, whenever someone whos just that much better looking and that much better at everything than ghastly is comes along, ghastly sort of sinks into an instantly hopeless, acceptance and almost numb state and he just sort of gives up at whatever hes talking about, whatever hes doing. because thats just what hes been conditioned to do. 400+ years of constant rejection ALL THE TIME?? hes just learnt that the second someone better comes along, whatever chance he had is gone. the conversation he was having with someone is instantly cut short, and ghastly just doesnt exist anymore. completely invisible. every. time. so i think that rather than getting jealous about it he’s learnt to give up, and i think that it took tanith years to uncondition that response out of him because she’ll never, ever cut him off for someone else, and she’s sure as hell not going anywhere, so?? and everyone can see the transformation too. aight sorry i went on a tangent there but my point is, ghastly doesnt get jealous. tANITH.
