🍒Random Hashiras headcanons!!

🍒Warnings: none

🔥Rengoku Kyojuro

🔥 His body temperature is ALWAYS (and when I say always i mean ALWAYS) WARM. It dosn't matter if it's literally freezing outside, he will still be warm (imagine hugging him during a snowy day omg)!

🔥He started styling his hair that way since he was a kid because he wanted to look like his dad since he admired him so much (the same thing happened to Senjuro actually)

🔥 During Hashiras meetings he ALWAYS says some type of dad jokes to like relieve some of the tension yk

📢Uzui Tengen

📢 He asks his wives help to paint his nails and sometimes he also lets them pick the colors (Suma and Makio often end up fighting over wich color to pick lol)

📢 Him and Rengoku are best buddies so Uzui always tries to find Rengoku a wife or atleast a girlfriend! I feel like Tengen has at least once tried to convince Rengoku to go to the Entertainment District

📢 I feel like overdressing for casual occasions is his favourite pastime (he's so flamboyant)

🍡Mitsuri Kanroji

🍡 Pretty sure she will do eating comps with other Hashiras. I think that Uzui would be the first to challenge her saying something like "Despite your flamboyant look, Mitsuri, I'm sure I can beat you in an eating comp-" he never stood a chance. Like ever.

🍡 Aside from her bubbly personality, I feel like on the inside she's very insicure about her appearence. I feel like she would like to gain a bit of weight but it's just kind of impossible for her. She never talked to anyone about her insecurities.

🍡 I think she would LOVE to have a 'girl's night' with Shinobu. During the said 'girl's night' Mitsuri would enjoy cooking (especially eating what they cooked after ^^), doing make-up or skin care, talking about boys and other girly stuff like that!

🦋Shinobu Kocho

🦋 When she was younger she got bullied SO BADLY for her height, and that is the reason why she's always on the defensive when someone mentions her height, it dosn't matter if the person is doing it to make fun of her or not.

🦋 Her favourite butterfly breed is the Purole Emperor!!💜

🦋 I feel like whenever she gets a compliment from someone she gets SUPER flustered. I think she gets flustered easyly for some reason. She'll try to hide her blush with her hands or by looking towards another direction and say something like "Fufu you're going to make me blush silly!"

☁️Muichiro Tokito

☁️ Even if he tends to forget people's names easyly, i feel like he would remember the names of the ones who kind of gave him some type of lesson, like life lesson or smth.

☁️ I think he's not very close to none of the Hashiras and that is another reason why he tends to be more shy and stoic. I also think that he would actually enjoy spend time with someone kinda like him (if you get what I mean lol) like cloud gazing with someone or sharing toughts about whatever is around in that moment.

☁️ In my opinion, among of the Hashiras, Uzui and Rengoku are the ones he likes the least. The main reason is because of their loudness, like let's be honest, they're 100% the loudest ones of the group. Muichiro prefers to be around quiet people.

🐍Obanai Iguro

🐍 The reason why he loves Mitsuri is because she is the complete opposite of him. Like she's lively, bubbly, caring, cute and all that stuff while he's stubborn, grumpy, reserved, diffident etc.

🐍 I feel like his humour would be based in sarcasm. I also think that he would be the type to say "no" when somebody asks him to hand them something but then proceed to pass them what they asked for. And ofc dark humour. He will try his best though to not use that kind of humour when around Mitsuri!

🐍 His favourite places to stay while relaxing are high places like trees or roofs. He likes how people can't quite notice him when he's up there and he secretly kind of enjoys scaring other Hashiras sometimes lol!

🪨Gyomei Himejima

🪨 He is super sweet, kind and caring towards children. Like imagine this: Gyomei is peacefully walking on a village's path when two random kids bump into him. The two kids start frenetically apologizing when Gyomei crouches down before placing his large hands on the two kids' heads. "Don't worry, little ones, go ahead and continue playing" He says with a gentle smile on his face (OMG I JUST LOVE HIM LOL).

🪨 He enjoys helping other Hashiras out with everyday chores, like getting something from a shelf that is too high or other stuff like that! I think he's kind of a big brother figure to all of them.

🪨 For some reason I feel like he loves cats just as much as Mitsuri does! And that is why sometimes they hang out together and go in search for cats to feed and pet! ^^

🔪Sanemi Shinazugawara

🔪 Even if be tries to act tough, he deeply cares about other Hashiras. He sees them as family and since he lost most of his real family, he dosn't want to loose his second one.

🔪 He's not experienced AT ALL with women and that is why he gets SO flustered around them (just like his brother Genya i love them sm) but unlike Genya, he's great at hiding it. Also I feel like not many women could be attracted to him, not because he's not attractive as a man, but because of the kinda scary gaze he gives them when they approach him, he dosn't do that on porpouse though!

🔪 Just as he does for the Hashiras, he DEEPLY cares about his brother Genya and he feels kinda bad for everytime he didn't mention him to the other Hashiras or for whenever he avoided him (they deserve so much better ngl!)

🌊Giyuu Tomioka

🌊 He dosn't fully understand why the other Hashiras don't like him and that actualky hurts him. I feel like somtimes he just zones out thinking about why the others don't like him and stuff like that.

🌊 Sometimes he tries to start convos with other Hashiras but it always ends up being awkard ^^'. I also think that he tried to like hug someone atleast once but it all ended up being weird LOL. He probabily tried hugging Mitsuri, not because he is interest in her romantically or smth but because she's kind and sweet to everyone so she would have probabily agreed to hugging him! The only issue was that while he was awkwardly hugging her, Obanai appeared out of nowhere and started chasing Giyuu until nightime while Mitsuri was just standing there confused as hell.

🌊 Oppositely to Rengoku, i feel like his body would be perpetually cold, it would warm up though if he was near a fire or near something warm.

Yandere platonic hashiras.

When you were born your mom taught you were the most precious thing on earth until the baby daddy walked in the room screaming “I don’t want this baby I’m leaving you she’s an accident!” Your mom cried and she started to grow hate towards you. Over the past 9 years your mom treated you like shit, you had to learn how to cook for yourself and you needed to let her abuse you but otherwise she treated you like a ghost. You had a shitty life and you were only 9 but yet you still loved your mom. One day at night while she was abusing you a mysterious person came in. They had weird features like a horn. The person was so fast for your eyes you backed away in a corner even though your mom told you to sit still when she’s abusing you. Your mom looked at you furious and she was about to open her mouth until..! The mysterious person killed your mom and one shotted her! You backed away more in the corner but you tripped and started to cry. The mysterious person chuckled until.

2 people a boy with black hair and a mask and a girl with pink to green hair was running to your mom’s house the boy killed the demon when he arrived and the girl came up to you saying “was that your mom?” You nodded crying. The girl said. “my name is Mitsuri kanroji and the guy with the snake is Obanai iguro” you looked at her with tears in your eyes. Both Mitsuri and Obanai were looking at you. You didn’t say anything that only caused Mitsuri to get worried and obanai to get mad you weren’t listening to Mitsuri. Obanai said “Talk back to her you should respect your elders” You sobbed wiping your tears saying “M-my m-mom a-abused me. I-I still miss her” both Obanai and Mitsuri were shocked. Obanai started to get flashbacks from his past. Mitsuri told Obanai “We can’t just leave this child alone! It will be to cruel!” Obanai went up to her and patted her shoulder saying “let’s adopt her as her parents” both you and Mitsuri were shocked but after a few seconds Mitsuri nodded saying “Ok Obanai I agree but we need to make sure we protect her she’s to innocent for this world. Let’s raise her as a demon slayer as Soon as we go back” Obanai nodded but he turned to you asking you “whats is your name… s-sw-sweetheart” Mitsuri likes Obanai was so sweet to you. M-my nam-name is [Name] sir! Obanai nodded and went up to your face. “Don’t call me sir call me dad.” You nodded. Mitsuri picked you up and carried you all the way back but you and the other 2 didn’t notice your emotions were slowly draining away.

When you 3 arrived at Obanai’s estate Obanai said “Oh I forgot to introduce you to my snake his name is Kaburamaru. Your emotionless self went to pet him and he enjoyed it. Obanai smiled thru his mask but you and Mitsuri obviously didn’t notice. Mitsuri excused herself before she spoke “I love your relationship with our daughter but we should train her now!’’ Obanai agreed with her statement “We should let her use a real sword” Mitsuri had a worried about expression while you had a emotionless one. Obanai carried you. You were really light as you barley eaten this week because they was no food in your house. Obanai looked at Mitsuri and said “I have a spare one let’s train her.”

They trained you, you did final selection and 2 years passed on and you 11 now.

Mitsuri held Obanai’s hand causing him to blush “can we introduce our daughter to the other hashira please? They would love to see her” Obanai couldn’t refuse to her in his state right now he nodded blushing. While you were at the the area where all the hashira were Gyomei sensed your presence. I sense another. All the hashira took there swords out because it was still night until they saw you. They were confused why Obanai and Mitsuri had a child with them and why Obanai was carrying you as he wasn’t really fond with kids. Shinobu asked with a smile on her face. “now now Mitsuri why do you have a child with you and there eyes are without spark~” Mitsuri screamed excited and said “THIS IS ME AND OBANAI’S DAUGHTERS” They had a shocked expression. All the hashira taught Mitsuri and Obanai did the deed. Gyomei said “I am happy you guys have an beautiful child by there presence they are 11.” All the hashira calm down because Mitsuri wouldn’t get pregnant at that young age right? Obanai said “I know what all of you guys are thinking.. she’s adopted don’t worry.” And the hashira nodded in agreement they didn’t want to hang out with you that much until your charm came out. All the hashira rubs there eye and they suddenly want to protect you from all the danger hidden around the world. Muichiro came up to you first asking “C-can I be your b-big brother?” You always wanted to have an another sibling so you nodded with barley any emotions. Giyuu saw your emotionless eyes and didn’t want you to end like him. “I-I want to be your uncle” nodded and he smirked a bit. Gyomei started to cry and say “I would like to be your grandpa and take care of you” you were confused but you said “Ok..” not really caring.. Mitsuri and Obanai both knew they are becoming Protective over you in a bad way and they liked that so Mitsuri screamed happily “All the hashira can be [Name]’s family member. All the hashira smiles and muichiro carried you and kisses your forehead.

After that day you barley go on mission without another hashira they can’t bare to let you out if there sight.. They need you. They want to feel more happy.

Headcannons.

- Uncle Sanemi who kills any demon before they can’t touch you and pats your head a lot telling you compliments but says “Don’t go to tomioka your already emotionless”

- Uncle Giyuu who smiles around you and and tries to be the best uncle. He Carries you to quiet places so you guys can be alone with no distractions. You make stuff for him even though it’s not the best he still keeps it.

- Uncle Rengoku who always tries to cheer you up. You never have a smile on your face and it bothers him a lot he always gives you his food and you eat it very slowly that it annoys him so he force feeds you.

- Aunty Shinobu who is teasing you 21/100 times how your gonna end up like Tomioka but still loves you and shows her loves by putting poison in your food or drinks when you disobey her commands or orders <3 or she gives you flower crowns but you end them eating them because in your old house when you didn’t have any food you ate flowers.

- Uncle Tengen who gives you expensive jewelry and if you don’t wear it he will Force them on you and call you “My flashy niece” And then if you don’t wear his expensive gifts for the third time in the row he will punish you. But in a flashy way.

- Grandpa Gyomei who loves to carry you he pats you on the head a lot of the times and you enjoy it but you never show it, you can’t show love. You mostly sleep on him as a sign of affection and he barley moves until you wake up.

- Big brother Muichiro who death glares other members of the corps if they try to talk to his beloved younger sister. Somehow he remembers you. He punishes you if you do something he doesn’t like. He likes it when you wear matching outfits! You wearing a kimono and him wearing a yukuta. Don’t worry it’s Mitsuri’s Money!

- Mom Mitsuri who hates it when you ask to go to your mom grave she can’t help to punish you! She hates it really! But you said something she despises.. After the punishes she says sorry to you and buys you anything you want!

- Dad Obanai who wants you to quit to ur job as a demon slayer as your only 11 but he won’t tell you about it. You remind him of him when he was younger. He spoils you a lot as your his and Mitsuri’s tsuguko. You see him for 1 week then you go to Mitsuri’s House house for a week. He doesn’t want Tomioka’s attitude rubbing on you so he wants you to stay away from him.

BEING GIYU’S CHILD AND HOW YOU INTERACT AND GET ALONG WITH THE OTHER HASHIRAS

➪ characters : giyu tomioka, kyojuro rengoku, tengen uzui, shinobu kocho, muichiro tokito, mitsuri kanroji, obanai iguro, sanemi shinazugawa, gyomei himejima

➪ warnings : mention of death

➪ other notes : honestly, idk if some of these characters are ooc but i tried my best

Giyu Tomioka :

- giyu never really imagined himself with a kid

- he was always too busy, nor was he mentally prepared to care for a tiny human

- but nevertheless, here you are

- the first time he ever saw you was when he beheaded a demon that was terrorizing families

- he heard weeps and crying that didn’t stop, somebody was alive and then he saw 4-year-old you sobbing not realizing what happened

- he stared at you in disbelief and a bit disgusted at your snotty crying face

- he was wondering what to do, would he leave you in a home for children?

- thoughts raced through his mind but he noticed you gripping his uniform and holding out your arms, wanting him to lift you up

- he hesitantly did, stiffly carrying you in his arms and you stopped crying softly sniffling from your recent breakdown

- maybe having a kid isn’t too bad he thought to himself as he walked back to his estate

- as much as he tried to hide you, master ubuyashiki noticed almost right away

- he called in giyuu to talk to him and that’s when giyuu told his master, ubayashiki was okay with him keeping you just as long as you don’t get into any fights with demons

- even then, giyuu hid you for another year, and once you turned six, he couldn’t keep you a secret anymore

- giyu tried his best to be a good dad and be there for you, you were the complete opposite from him

- you were bubbly and cheery and very talkative

- he liked that you were more extroverted than he ever was but if he wanted you to stay like this, you needed social interaction

- so he brought you to a meeting the master set up, the hashiras were utterly shocked as they saw a small child holding giyu’s hand walking confidently

- even gyomei sensed a way younger and smaller presence than anyone there

- giyu lightly pushed you in front of him, waiting for you to introduce yourself like both of you recently practiced

- “good morning! my name is y/n and he’s my dad,” you pointed to giyu. “i hope we can all be friends,” you confidently said, chest puffed out with your hands on your hips

- rengoku smiled happily, tengen gave a toothy grin, shinobu’s eyes widened before giving you a small smile, muichiro had the same blank expression, mitsuri smiled sweetly at you, obanai looked perplexed, sanemi scowled, and gyomei clasped his hands together crying

Kyojuro Rengoku :

- you get along very well with him from the start

- he thinks it’s very interesting how giyu is your dad and yet you’re the opposite from his personality

- mentioning personalities, your personality resembles rengoku’s quite well

- he has a younger brother so he knows quite a lot about children

- his bright red and orange hair immediately caught your attention and he was the first hashira you talked to

- “rengoku-dono is your hair color natural?” you look up at him staring at the fire hashira

- “yes! i inherited it from my father,” he told you

- if you bring him any food at all, expect him to yell out “delicious”

- if he ever goes to see his brother, he’ll definitely take you with him so you can get along with younger people

- because rengoku tries to talk to giyu often, he’ll trust rengoku with you

- if you’re interested in fighting, he’ll start teaching you with a wooden sword

- on his free time with you, he’ll go buy bento boxes with you in which he yells “delicious” after every bite

- this eventually leads to you yelling out “delicious” whenever you eat

- giyu even got scared the first time you screamed out “delicious” after taking a bite out of your food

- if you do something that you weren’t supposed to do, he would give you some constructive criticism

- he’s one of the best role models, making you admire him very much

- “rengoku-dono, my dad told me that you talk to him a lot, is that true?”

- “yes that is very true, you should try to encourage him to talk more, he’s a clever man,”

- i think the way he shows you physical affection is by putting a hand on your shoulder

- it’s a small gesture, but it’s reassuring

- overall interaction experience with him would be a 10/10

- he’s never mean to you, instead he tries to build your character, he genuinely cares for your well-being, he’s an amazing person

Tengen Uzui :

- he will tease you to no end

- chances of you getting along with him are low at first but they slowly increase over time

- you’re impressed by all precious jewelry he has on his body

- so you decide to go up to him, curiously looking at him

- “sir why are you shiny?” you ask him

- he looks down on you mockingly and says “i’m a flamboyant man”

- he will get on your nerves, then proceeds to call you un-flashy when you get annoyed

- even then he’ll try his best to make you flamboyant, considering you’re nothing like your dad, it gives you more of a chance to be a flashy and eccentric person

- if you ever meet his wives, they’ll go into mom mode, well that is if suma isn’t crying

- you probably like his wives more than you like him

- but on a more serious note, tengen would definitely tell you to always express yourself

- and as much as he annoys you, he does actually care about you

- he wants you to be free like a bird

- if there’s time, he would take his wives and you to eat under sakura trees

- when you’re with giyu you often call things flashy or un-flashy, your dad could be mentioning something and you’d go “papa that’s not flashy at all”

- cue giyu looking at you confused

- “tengen-dono, how come you always tell me to express myself and be flashy,” you curiously ask him as hina brushes your hair

- “let me tell you something kid, being plain is boring and living a boring life isn’t worth it, until you live an eccentric one first,” he smiles

- his way to show physical affection is to slap you on the back

- when you start crying because of that he panics, forgetting that you’re literally six

- overall interaction experience with him would be a 7.5/10

- after getting used to his teasing, being with him isn’t bad, plus his wives make up for any misfortune that happens

Shinobu Kocho :

- naturally you want to hang out with her

- after all, she’s the hashira your dad gets the most along with

- so one day when’s she about to enter her estate, you call after her, “ms. kocho, is it true you can kill demons without decapitating them?”

- “yes thats true, did your father tell you?” she asks smiling politely

- “um no, rengoku-dono told me but i think it’s amazing how you’re so smart,” you boast and compliment the young woman

- if you’re interested in medicine, she would let you watch her make some after having you wear safety gear of course

- she would educate you a lot about everything, not wanting you to grow up stupid

- she would also be very protective of you, especially because giyu confides in her with you

- you are more than welcome to the butterfly estate if your dad is on a mission or if you just want to hang out with aoi or the other girls

- when she has free time with you, she looks at butterflies with you, she feels genuine happiness when you look at the delicate creatures in admiration

- she also gives you a butterfly clip and you boast about it when telling your dad

- “dada look! ms. kocho gave me a clip,” giyu just stares at you as you happily rant

- she knows how to take care of kids especially after taking care of kanao when she was a little

- sometimes you’ll even ask her about your dad since she seems the closest to giyu

- “shinobu-dono, what do you think of my dad,”

- “he’s a very quiet and reserved man, in fact i didn’t actually believe you were his child when i first saw you,” she gave you her classic smile.

- her way of showing physical affection is my booping you on your nose

- though she prefers to show other types of affection, booping you on your nose seems like the easiest way to show you appreciation

- overall interaction experience with her would be a 10/10

- she knows what to do around her and you give her really good company, she’s like an aunt

Muichiro Tokito :

- he’s probably the one you least talk with

- when giyu first told you he was only 14 you were happy because you thought you could be with him since he was the closest in age

- but you forgot that your dad said that the young boy barely talks to anyone

- so you went up to him “are you muichiro-dono?” you asked and he blankly stared at you before blinking and walking away

- being the persistent child that you were, you followed him around everywhere

- he honestly didn’t care or mind if you were with him or not

- if he could describe you, he would say you were a shiba dog

- because even though you were adorable, you follow him around

- but he slowly starts getting used to you

- if you followed him around for enough time, he would sit on benches and look at nature and his surroundings with you

- as quiet as he can be, you can tell he’s not annoyed at you well you hoped he wasn’t

- if you spend any free time with him, he would sit in a flower of fields with you

- sometimes he would talk about things you had no idea about

- there was one time where a meeting was about to take place and he saw you hugging your dad’s leg when muichiro saw you

- he then said “the shiba dog to the decorative ornament,” you were confused by his statement but smiled at him nevertheless

- afterwards you asked him what he meant and he pointed at you simply saying “shiba dog”

- back with giyu you told him he was a decorative ornament and he looked perplexed

- his form of physical affection if he shows any would probably be holding hands

- the few times he holds your hand, he feels appreciated, knowing that you voluntarily follow him around to hang out with him

- overall interaction experience with him would be a 8/10

- if you want to be around a quiet aura, muichiro is your person, he enjoys a bit of company even if he doesn’t show it

Mitsuri Kanroji :

- right off the bat, she absolutely adores you

- she thinks you’re so cute and she’s extremely happy when you go up to her

- “um excuse me, i love your hair color, mitsuri-dono” you told the blushing girl

- “thank you so much! you’re such a sweetheart,” she cheerfully says

- she definitely goes up to you more often, wanting you to hang out with her

- she loves how sweet and bubbly you are

- she will congratulate you a lot for your successes and will tell you she’s proud

- 100% mom energy

- despite giyu thinking she shows too much skin, he doesn’t mind her due to the fact that she tries to chat with him every time they meet

- she talks to you often and you often just stare at her a bit confused because of her rambling

- despite that, she appreciates having someone who will listen to her

- often, obanai will be around her, evidently making you hang out with him

- he minds you but won’t say anything because of mitsuri, he loves her after all

- on her free time, she will teach you how to play menko and despite you barely understanding it, she’ll teach you for as long as she has to for you to grasp some understanding of it

- you eye down your dad, “yes y/n?” he asks sensing your stare and you pull out some cards

- “fight me papa,” you say ready to play some menko, he sighs but slightly smiles

- bonus : he somehow lost

- her way of showing physical affection is by hugging you, she wants you to feel loved no matter what

- she’ll give you bear hugs especially if you’re sad or crying

- overall interaction experience with her would be a 9/10

- she shows you some mom love and affection but obanai can sometimes stare you down

Obanai Iguro :

- he immediately dislikes you when he first sees you

- you were giyu’s child, and he hates giyu

- but being the confident kid you were, you came up to him because of his snake

- “mr iguro, i like your snake,” you said looking at kaburamaru

- obanai’s eyes stared at you and said “mmm, he’ll bite you if you’re not careful,” wanting to scare you

- you weren’t threatened by this, which surprised him a bit

- you remembered that your father said that obanai was a harsh person

- when you follow him around, he often gets annoyed at you, he doesn’t like children

- even then, he starts to realize that you’re way more sociable and sweet than giyu

- he still often berates you unfortunately

- you get mad at him a lot, not backing down when he insults you, mixing gasoline with more fire was never good

- giyu probably tries his best to keep you away from obanai, not wanting to cause problems

- but if by some miracle, obanai has a good day like mitsuri giving him attention, he’ll be sort of nice to you

- he sees you walking by when he decides to call you over with you scowling at him

- “hey idiot, want to touch kaburamaru?” he asks you and your eyes beam up at him

- after this encounter, he ends up tolerating you

- if he ever spends any time with you, he’ll let you pet kaburamaru, thats the closest you’ll get to him

- you tell your dad that snake skin feels very cold and he’s shocked as he realizes that obanai let you touch kaburamaru

- the way obanai shows physical “affection” is by poking you, he mocks you by the way you jump back

- overall interaction experience with him would be a 3/10

- he tolerates you but he’ll always be mean to you, but he lets you be with kaburamaru

Sanemi Shinaguzawa :

- oh boy, get ready to fight this man

- he already hates your dad, so why wouldn’t he hate you

- but nevertheless, you go up to him

- “sanemi-dono, i really like your sword,”

- he smiles crookedly looking down at you, deciding whether or not to insult you

- if you follow him around, get ready for him to blow up on you accusing you of stalking him

- his favorite words to use on you are idiot, stupid, brat, and dumbass

- you were very confident in telling him off, telling him that he has no reason to be mean to you just because you’re giyu’s child

- this actually makes him start to tolerate you

- if he likes you enough, he’ll teach you to fight but like obanai, he’ll insult you to no end

- you’re very smart for being really young and he kind of sees himself in you which is the one of the main factors of why he tolerates you

some headcanons teehee

since giyuu was around a year longer, he’s technically, not like literally but he does have some sort of control of anyone who joined after him. so he does have some control sanemi, he doesn’t use it but it’s there.

tengen has and is picking up sane and yuu around and they both aren’t very happy about that, especially sanemi. mf hates it so much.

sanemi and giyuu get eachother, kinda. they can speak without like speaking at all, it’s a weird bond they have despite not getting along the best.

they are also being asked (peer pressured by tengen and gyomei and told by Kagaya) to have weekly hangouts to get along better, it’s painful for the both of them. but it’s getting better for them weirdly enough, they even got a secret handshake!!

gyomei is very happy hanging out with the three, it’s just such a happy feeling when he hears giyuu speak up, or sanemi apologizing and tengen saying legit advice. he’s happy to know that they’re growing better, it’s slow but they’re getting there.

they talk mad shit about the younger generation of hashira (basically the ones that join after them, except kanae, she’s very kind). they even got inside jokes and nicknames for eachother.

the three are well aware of giyuu’s lack of confidence when it comes to speaking, they try to help him but they sometimes just end up lecturing the mf (sanemi and tengen). gyomei knowing that giyuu’s gets overwhelmed and going a nonverbal, lets giyuu hide behind him.

gyomei tells dad jokes and giyuu finds them hilarious and it’s such torture to tengen and sanemi.

before the others came into the picture, these three had SO MUCH work to do. no sleep, no rest, nada. they were so tired of this but held strong for kagaya.

Borne Back Ceaselessly into the Past

Author's Note: Warning this is a tickle fic. This has been written for almost 2 weeks now. For the record, do not, I repeat DO NOT read this fic if you haven't watched episode 8 The Mu in Muichiro episode of Demon Slayer season 3 Swordsmith Village Arc and/or finished the entire manga.

Muichiro knows the other hashiras get into tickle fights, but they take care not to include him. Before regaining his memories, he had forgotten what it was like to smile, let alone laugh. After meeting Tanjiro and everything that happened at the swordsmith village, he can recall faint memories of being tickled by his mom and dad before they died, leaving him and Yuichiro to fend for themselves. And maybe even rare times of his brother, Yuichiro tickling him whenever Muichiro annoyed him. He remembers the warmness from those moments, but he can only see the face that matches his own, albeit colder and stronger than he ever was then. The others are blurred like footprints in the sand washed away by the sea.

But he’s unsure. He attributes tickling to happy things. Yet, all these emotions he gets to experience once more are sometimes overwhelming and confusing. His survival instincts have told him to lash out, so thinks the rest or all of the hashiras would be too much.

Muichiro knows that Oyakata-sama, Tanjiro, and the hashiras care about him, but a part of him is afraid of hurting someone. The former two are kind and considerate. Shinobu is what he imagines his mom was like before she got sick. Sanemi and Obanai are strong. Although Mitsuri and Tengen can be a bit much sometimes, they have good hearts and care about the ones they love. And Gyomei is gentle despite his size and wise even though he’s blind, knowing what others need before they realize it themselves.

He doesn’t know who to go to. He’s been able to hear and remember the other hashiras’ stories, so he knows whom he doesn’t want.

“Tanjiro?”

Tanjiro greets Muichiro with the same dizzying smile, radiating such warmth and kindness that breaks through almost every wall he has. It’s so infectious that Muichiro can’t help but return the gesture. “Yes, Tokito?”

There’s a tightness in his chest. It bubbles up into his throat, and he feels like he is drowning in his own saliva. His heart is beating, no humming, like hummingbird wings. He imagines his eyes are rounder than normal as he stares at Tanjiro. Muichiro’s brain is telling him to flee.

Tanjiro’s eyebrows furrow. “Is something wrong?”

He doesn’t reply right away. Something in his head tells him he’s just nervous, but the new feeling isn’t welcome, nonetheless. “I’m…fine.”

“Well, you can talk to me if you ever need to,” Tanjiro replies with a smaller smile this time.

Muichiro debates shielding his eyes.

“Did you need something in particular?”

‘N-no?” Muichiro stammers, clenching his sword.

In reality, he knows he can ask Tanjiro for any favor, and Tanjiro would do everything in his power to fulfill the said request, but the words just won’t come. “Remember when you told me about your siblings?”

Tanjiro’s smile falters for a bit, but it quickly returns, his eyes softening. “Of course. Is there something else you want to know?”

“Huh?” Muichiro says, feeling a faint warmth on his cheeks. “It’s not that…”

“Did you need something, then?”

He’s smacked in the face by memories of someone younger and sweeter than the person he is now. He can remember bits and pieces. Tanjiro is reminiscent of shared laughter and making food with his family. It’s a feeling filled with joy, like sitting under a tree when rays of sunshine hit your face in just the right place to warm your entire body. The birds are chirping, and every negative emotion you have is replaced by the love you give and the love you get from others.

And yet, it’s sad and distant, even though Muichiro knows he can find it among the demon slayer corps, but he doesn’t know if he has enough time to trust everyone enough to feel the same way again. When he’s reminded of the person, the child he used to be, he mourns the lost innocence and the big heart his brother admired.

Muichiro takes a deep breath. It’s moments like these that remind him that Tanjiro is older than him, if only by a year or so. They’re both kids. He doesn’t like being reminded that they’re so young, but they’ve gone through so much.

“You know the thing you’d do with your siblings?” he says, turning the statement into a question.

Tanjiro’s eyes widen, blinking in response. “Oh?” He cocks his head to the right. “I know you’re still warming up to that kind of stuff, so I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

“But if it’s you, then I don’t mind?” Muichiro mumbles, contemplating digging a hole in the ground and throwing himself inside it. Right now, he really wishes Tanjiro wasn’t looking at him the way he is. If a person would ever befriend a demon that wasn’t Nezuko, Tanjiro would be the one to do so.

“Well, where do you want me to start?”

Well, there’s no turning back, Muichiro supposes, as his face grows hotter. “Uhm…I don’t even remember where I’d be…you know...”

Tanjiro chuckles. “Let’s go inside where it’s more comfortable.”

Somehow in the few minutes it takes them to walk into one of the rooms in butterfly mansion, every Kakushi they pass is left glowing with happiness when Tanjiro greets them by name. Muichiro normally keeps to himself, but he might consider talking to them every once in a while.

“Can you sit in front of me?” Tanjiro asks after he kneels on the tatami mats in one of the mansion’s spare training rooms.

Muichiro’s fingers twitch as he fights the urge to fiddle with his hair, a habit he’s picked up when he’s confused or unsure. “Like this?” he asks, sitting down with his legs crossed and flat on the ground.

“That’s fine,” Tanjiro hums. He holds his hands out for Muichiro to see.

Muichiro stares at Tanjiro’s hands, his lips faintly twitching.

Tanjiro grins at his reaction. “It’s okay. We can do this at the speed you’re comfortable with.”

“…I’m just a little nervous,” he admits. Although Tanjiro’s words are comforting to a degree, Muichiro wishes his bangs were a bit longer to cover his entire face. He settles on covering his eyes with his sleeves.

“We can go slow if you’d like.”

He peeks at Tanjiro behind his fingers. “I-I think I’d be okay with that. I just don’t know where to start.”

“Let’s start with something easy,” Tanjiro says with a chuckle, “How about your sides?”

Muichiro closes his eyes and nods before he can change his mind. He’s nervous, but he doesn’t find himself scared in any way. He trusts Tanjiro. He knows he can trust Tanjiro to stop if he feels uncomfortable.

“I want you to see what I’m doing.” Tanjiro holds up his hands in claws.

Maybe Muichiro isn’t ticklish anymore. Maybe his body has forgotten what the sensation is like.

At the electric feeling that shoots up his body, he does not topple over backward. He does not squeak when Tanjiro’s fingers make contact with his sides with a gentle flutter. His face does not flush when Tanjiro comments that Muichiro reacts just like Tanjiro’s brother, Takeo.

“Are you okay?” Tanjiro asks. Muichiro can hear that Tanjiro is equal parts amused and concerned.

And he does not pout when he replies. “I’m fine.”

“How does it feel? Am I good to keep going?”

Muichiro thinks for a moment. “…It’s different, but not in a bad way?”

He grumbles to himself when the statement comes out like a question. After losing his memories, but before recovering them, he knows his smiles are few and far between. The ones he can remember are mostly mocking enemies or forced by an overzealous Mitsuri’s hands pulling at his lips when she gets carried away.

Muichiro’s lips twitch once more, a movement that Tanjiro still doesn’t miss. “You can keep going,” he mumbles.

“Are you going to come back up here or am I going to have to go down there.”

“Noooooo,” Muichiro whines, covering his face with his left arm.

It’s just tickling. He’s seen the tickle fights the other hashiras and the demon slayers get into.

But why does he feel so light and almost giddy? It’s an emotion he’s not familiar with at all. He might have felt this way before but can’t quite remember when. Was it before he became a demon slayer? Before it was just him and Yuichiro? When his mom and dad were still alive?

He doesn’t know where this feeling came from, but he wants to find out, so he doesn’t want this, everything that’s happened after regaining his memories, to stop.

Muichiro doesn’t want to forget anymore.

When Tanjiro’s fingers start moving again, he finds himself giggling, the laughter bubbling out of his mouth like a babbling brook. He likes to think of himself as a serious person for the most part, but he just can’t stop laughing.

Besides the tickling, there’s a fluttering sensation in the back of his mind that reminds him of…home, so he just lies on the ground with his arms on his chest as more laughter pours out of him.

Muichiro’s face hurts from smiling for so long.

“Your laughter is brighter than I imagined,” Tanjiro says as if reading Muichiro’s mind. “…It’s cute.”

Muichiro cackles at the comment when Tanjiro pokes at his ribs. “I’m naahaat cuteee.”

Tanjiro clicks his tongue. “That’s what someone cute would say, right Nezuko?”

Muichiro hadn’t noticed that Nezuko had been in the room. It didn’t surprise him, since he knew Tanjiro and Nezuko were usually together, but he couldn’t focus on the details as Nezuko nuzzles her hair into his neck.

He shrieks at the slight roughness of her hair, but he wishes that necks were less sensitive. He wishes his neck was less sensitive.

Tanjiro laughs, wiggling his fingers into Muichiro’s underarms. “You have to be gentle, Nezuko.”

This time his elbows move back, arms clamping to his sides. “Aaahaaaha. Waahait. Wait. Wait,” he blubbers.

The tickling stops immediately. “Did we go too far?” Tanjiro asks, his voice oozing concern.

“No. no!” Muichiro says. And no, he does not squawk. “I just wanted to say thank you.”

Tanjiro’s face brightens at Muichiro’s words.

“M-mmph! Mmph.” Nezuko replies as she lies down beside Muichiro.

“Do you want tickles, too, Nezuko?”

“Mmhhp,” she giggles when Tanjiro’s hands spider around her stomach.

Muichiro can’t help but smile at the two of them. Maybe he and Yuichiro used to look like that when they were younger.

Tanjiro smirks at him. “Oh, don’t think I forgot about you.”

He squeals when Tanjiro does the same to his stomach, arching into Tanjiro’s fingers because it tickles too much. He doesn’t want to reminisce about his tragic past anymore, he just wants to let the happiness and laughter take over him.

Muichiro can see the same soft smile on Tanjiro’s face when he talks about his siblings. It comforts him.

“No. No. Noohohoho,” he yells when Tanjiro’s fingers slip past his sides to the small of his back. His body slams back to the ground as he cackles, snorting when Tanjiro hits the slight dimples above the back of his waist.

It tickles. It tickles. It tickles.

“Ooh. I think I found a good spot,” Tanjiro says, laughing along with Muichiro.

Scratch that. Now he wishes his back was as ticklish as his neck, but he doesn’t feel overwhelmed. He supposes that this is the biggest range of happy emotions he’s ever experienced. The sensations that make this uncontrollable laughter spill out of him aren’t bad, they’re just something he needs to get used to.

The bottom half of his body is less sensitive than the top half of his body, but he can’t help the snorts that burn his nose when Tanjiro scribbles his hands behind his knees or the way his eyes close when Tanjiro pinches his thighs.

When tears are prickling at the edge of his eyes, and Muichiro’s face has become a little red from laughing so hard, the tickling stops. Muichiro can tell his hair is a little messy, but he finds that he doesn’t mind when Nezuko curls into his lap.

Nezuko hums when Muichiro starts running his fingers through her hair. “Thank you for that, Tanjiro,” he says, trying to return the blinding smile that Tanjiro has on his face.

“No thanks needed. I’m happy to do it any time,” Tanjiro replies with a somehow even bigger smile than normal.

“Who started a tickle fight without me,” Tengen calls out, sticking his head in the doorway. “Oh?”

Tengen looks at Muichiro’s hair and then at Tanjiro and Nezuko.

“All right, why didn’t anyone tell me we could tickle Muichiro now,” Tengen says in a mock hurt tone.

“Huh…This is kind of new, I guess…”

Tengen holds a hand as if to ask for permission before patting Muichiro’s head. “Well, I’m happy then. Now to find Sanemi. That grumpy bastard is going to get used to smiling at some point.”

Muichiro’s face morphs back into its usual blank slate. He can’t get the past back, but maybe being here, with them, is enough.

Sanemi was content with dying, Muzan was gone. He was going to be at peace. Until he saw them.

A/N: Spoilers for the ending of Demon Slayer. I decided to make Shizu (Sanemi's mom) and his father both abusive and assholes. Yes, I know that sweet woman wasn't but for the sake of the story, she was

When Sanemi had fallen unconscious once Muzan burned to a crisp he knew he wasn't going to be waking up ever again. He was okay with that. Most of the Hashira had died if not all of them. He wasn't sure. He was positive though that all of his family was dead so what was the point of him even being alive? He was 21 and had the mark, he would only be alive for another 4 years so it's not like he would have missed much. He stood up looking around in the void hearing the sounds of laughter and as if they appeared out of thin air he saw all his siblings giggling. Laughing. Loving life. He stood there watching them play in the afterlife. He thought about his life. He lost them all so young thanks to that bitch who got herself turned into a demon. He was glad that he had the chance to kill her, even if he was barely strong enough. She and that man tormented him and his siblings even though he used to take the brunt of it. He knew they both were going to hell. He was going to make sure of that. He had one wish and that was to be strong enough to torment them back in hell.

"Well, look what the cat dragged back here. Finally realized you're too much of an eye sore to accomplish anything." He didn't turn around wanting to burn the scene of his siblings frolicking and finally being safe, free, and happy together. He shed a tear knowing he won't be able to join them. He shed another tear for the life he never got a chance to experience or have. He shed a third tear for not being selfish enough to get rid of his mother at the same time his dad died. That was the last of his tears. He would shed no more. He had shed enough fighting this demon war.

"You got wax in your ears, you fucking little shit. Your mother was talking to your worthless ass." He took a deep breath not wanting to turn around. He had a feeling in his heart that his wish was going to be granted but, he just needed to stare at his siblings for a little longer. Remember them. He knew that once his wish was granted he will not remember them as much as he wants to. It almost makes him cry again but, all he can do is pray his final sacrifice won't be in vain and he can reunite with at least one of them in the next life. Even if they are not siblings.

"What the fuck, you're going to stand there the whole day? You're dead and you're not going back and you're sure as hell not going with them. You're wasting your time staring at them." He took one final deep breath not blinking as he felt a shift and his body change. During the change, he ignored his parent's repeated insults and just focused on his siblings. They couldn't see him but, he could see them. He is glad that they cannot see him, they cannot see what he becomes, what he chose to become to get revenge. Especially Genya. He would be very sad and disappointed to see him this way and that was something that he could not accept as the eldest.

"What the fuck are you." He finally turned slowly around as his new form took place. His final wish. His ultimate sacrifice. To become the one thing he hated the most and killed more than any human alive besides maybe Gyomei. A demon. He had two large horns in the front and two smaller ones on the back of his head. His eyes slit a vibrant purple, wild white hair to his waist, pointed ears, pale skin, claws, and a foot taller than his human height. He towered over both of them as saliva dripped from his mouth. He had a smile that could split his face in two as he vibrated in excitement. This was the first time he has ever seen them scared and he was soaking it in.

"I am hell." With one leap he had pressed his hands into their chest sending the three of them flying backward straight to the depths of hell. He couldn't help but grin just a bit sharper seeing and feeling the flames lick at his skin. His final coherent thought was of his siblings smiling and laughing. Finally free. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I had thought about that scene in chapter 200 when Sanemi sees his family in the afterlife and wanted to make a quick drabble of my own twist to it! Hope it was to your liking.

The Demons We Face | Chapter 7, Trust

The two boys calmed enough to actually nap, resting up until the smell of food roused them. Genya woke up first, his taste buds reveling from the scents from the kitchen area. When he looked over to Gideon, the was still lightly sleeping.

This boy was going to miss out on so many meals. What did he even do before today, just not think of eating?

Couldn't be Genya. He enjoyed good food.

Still, he didn't want the silver haired boy to miss out on nourishment. Little adorable dork would pass out in battle if he didn't eat well. Not on Genya's watch. He crawled out of his bed and crept over to kneel by Gideon's head.

“Gideon.”

Nothing. He was more asleep than Genya thought. He leaned over his head and poked his cheek. Nope.

His face changed though, his brows furrowed in his sleep and he groaned. Progress?

“Gideon wake up, there's food for us.”

“...thanks mom~” he said softly in his sleep.

“I'm not your mom. Gideon. Wake uhhhpp…”

“...Dad?”

“Ew, no. Not that guy.”

Gideon groaned and pulled the covers over his face.

“Don't make me marry this girl.”

Genya looked to the little lump of blanket on the floor. Was he having a bad dream? Was he dreaming about his dad?

If that was the case he'd need to try harder to wake him up. He shook his shoulder but Gideon just groaned more. “Wake up!”

He stopped shaking his shoulder to see if he'd made any progress, and he'd successfully woken up the boy. Squinty green eyes meet him as he untucked his face from blankets and he blinks, rubbing his eyes.

“Genya…” he groaned softly. “I'm still so sleepy.”

“But food is almost done. We need to eat.”

“...Stay with me a few moments… please.”

He did have a bad dream. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary for him, and it didn't get too terribly involved. He'd had worse dreams. But as Genya had roused him from sleep he was so relieved that he wasn't the younger version of himself again.

His eyes were tired, masking a vulnerability that he'd subtly opened up to Genya with. The taller boy searched his gaze for a moment. He'd caught the tone of his voice and sensed pain. So he nodded softly.

“Okay. Hang on.”

He carefully got to his feet and went over to grab his futon, scooting it closer to Gideon's. He crawled back into his covers, looking to his companion. Gideon had turned over and watched him move, looking like he could possibly cry. He wasn't expecting this much.

“...Do you want to talk about it?”

Gideon blinks, averting his eyes. “It's… not anything you don't already know. Just a bad memory I think. Sorry I'm… being a bit of a baby about it-”

“You don't need to apologize.”

The gods knew that Genya had experienced plenty of the same. He would have wanted someone to sit with him for reassurance. A little while back, someone did sit with him and continued to be supportive when he really didn't have to be. One act of love had helped Genya immensely.

Gideon had given him his trust, and so he wanted to hold it gently. He didn't know a ton about this boy still. What if he didn't have anyone to lean on like Genya had Gyomei?

“I'm here. Whenever you're ready. We can talk or we can get up and eat. I won't leave without you.”

Gideon couldn't help the tears that fell, but he wiped them roughly on his blanket. “You're like. So nice to me. Thank you.”

“You're thanking me for being nice to you?”

Gideon smirked a little. “Well you could choose to be an asshole, so.”

Genya huffed a small laugh. “Fair enough. I just don't think I have it in me to be mean to you.”

“Why's that? Did I not annoy you enough today?”

“Nope. You failed.”

Gideon smiled. “Well fuck. Guess I've got to try harder then.”

Genya reached over and playfully shoved his shoulder. “Two can play your game. What if I annoy you first?”

Gideon gasped. “You wouldn't dare.”

“Oh, but I would. I had younger siblings. I perfected the art.”

“No!” Gideon giggles, hiding himself a bit more under his blanket.

Genya grins at him. “Oh wow, your bed actually looks much more comfortable all of a sudden!”

“EEEEEK, GENYA! THAT'S SO FORWARD-”

Genya hardly hears his squealing words, he just flops on top of him. “So comfy~”

“GENYA YOU FUCKING YAKUSUGI YOUR BODY IS CRUSHING ME!!”

Genya gut-laughs on top of him. “What did you just call me?!”

“GIANT ASS TREE! DO YOU RAISE BONSAIS TO FEEL INCREDIBLY LARGE NEXT TO SOMETHING?! HUH??”

Genya laughs into the blanket under him, just over Gideons shoulder. “I don't need to do that to feel large~”

“EEEEEK!!”

Gideon struggles under him, blushing deeply at everything happening. That statement, feeling his weight and his warm breath… it was too much, maybe he'd just die here like this. Genya was going to give him a heart attack, he was convinced.

He hid his very flustered face in his hands and stopped struggling. He could feel the heat coming off of his blushing cheeks.

Genya gently rolled off of him, sensing that the joke had gone on long enough. “Did I win?~”

Gideon didn't answer but peered up at him from his hands. Even his ears were red.

Genya smiled, knowing he hadn't annoyed him necessarily but this result was somehow better. “Cute~” he teased, standing up and looking down to him. “C'mon. I'm hungry. Get up or imma carry you in there like a hunted deer.”

Gideon huffs, shuffling himself to kneel and about to stand up by himself, but Genya offered him a hand for help. He took it, and the boy tugged him up with ease. Genya smirked to him before leading the way out of the room, proud of himself.

Gideon followed slower, still flustered out of his poor little mind. The tables had turned. The flusterer was now the fluster-ee.

They're served dinner, Gideon shyly sits next to Genya where he had that morning and eats the meal. Pork, rice, vegetables all mingled together and he picked bits together with his chopsticks. Genya, like he had with the ramen, ate separate parts; eating his meat first, veggies second, rice third.

Genya glanced over to Gideon as he ate. Gideon’s gaze flickered up to him as he swallows a bite. Genya smiles to him and leans his leg on Gideon's. Gideon blushes, but leans into him in return before returning to his meal.

A certain warmth radiated in both of their chests with that. They had trust in one another and showed each other care in subtle ways. This may very well be their last meal. The life of a demon slayer was always full of potential last times. But both boys had hope as well that this wouldn't be the last meal, that they'd make it to the morning sunrise…

That they'd have more time.

Finishing their food, they both stood, taking their dishes in to clean them and set them aside for their host to put away where she kept them. They gathered their things up and exited the house, eyes on the treeline. There was a demon to deal with in the forest shadows…

Dad!Kyojuro Headcanons

Giyu • Sanemi • Tengen • Gyomei • Obanai

Warnings: none! Just a lot of fluff… okay maybe a little bit of thirst too but shhhh 🤫

A/N: if I start rambling about Kyojuro tiddies I’m not sorry. I got so carried away with this one so Kyojuro’s is significantly longer than the others 😭

There is a child-like wonder in his eyes when you tell him you’re pregnant

He’s immediately on his knees so he can press an ear to your stomach. With all his training he’s able to decipher your heartbeat from the baby’s

Maybe it’s his own hopefulness, but Kyojuro is convinced you are carrying more than one baby

Part of him feels his hunch is right when you already begin to form the faintest of baby bumps during your first trimester

Kyojuro always greets your stomach with soft hellos and careful kisses before falling asleep

He is also there every morning you wake up with morning sickness. Holding your hair back, getting you water and food, medicine etc

Once you enter your second trimester, Shinobu is able to confirm Kyojuro’s thoughts

You’re pregnant with twins

While you are a bit terrified by the news — since you are technically now a high risk pregnancy — you are also very excited

The fear you feel fades when you see Kyojuro’s smile

He assures you that everything will work out fine, and even if it doesn’t he’ll be right there with you

Now that you are aware of the second baby, they seemed to want to make themselves known to you

Your stomach starts growing pretty large pretty quick during your second trimester

And the kicks? Oh they are just as energetic as their father.

Kyojuro often mock scolds them for the way they move, saying things like “let your mother rest!” Or “give your mom a break” anything to make you laugh

When your third trimester rolls in, Kyojuro takes his leave from the corps — he doesn’t retire, but Kagaya gives him all the time he needs to help you

Kyojuro is always by your side, he wants to help you in every way he can since your stomach has become so large, it’s hard to move

He is also soaking in how beautiful look while pregnant. He’s certain he will see you like this at least two more times (if you allow), but he has to soak in that first pregnancy glow you have.

When you go into labor, Kyojuro’s whole world kind of pauses. He knows labor can be excruciating and the fact that you have to push out two?? He instantly feels regret for getting you pregnant

Only because of the pain you’re in. It actually terrifies him. He’s apologizing to you with every contraction you go through.

a few hours and your babies are finally born — Kyojuro is so silent. He’s holding both of them in absolute awe.

Inside his head he’s screaming tbh “we made these! These are our little creations! I’m a dad?!? These little things are depending on me to keep them alive!”

He takes on his daddy duties right away, allowing you to sleep after feeding both babies.

He talks to them a lot, like super soft little whispers (which is the total opposite of his usual tone)

He’s also laughing to himself a bit because the Rengoku family genes are still going strong

You could imagine the wonder on his face when one of the babies opened their eyes for the first time, and they had your eye color

Skin to skin is his (and yours tbh) person favorite bonding activity. He loves holding each baby one on one to make sure they both get equal amounts of alone time with their daddy

While you’re cradling the other baby, you’re stealing glances as your husband’s bare torso. You didn’t realize how much hotter he’d become as a father

Fast forward a few weeks to when you and Kyojuro are settled into your home with your babies

Kyojuro is up all hours of the night helping you, whether it be bathing them, changing their diapers, feeding them. That man is wide awake and ready to help

Even at a month old these two know what they are doing. Constantly tugging at their daddy’s long hair causes Kyojuro to put it all the way up in ponytails

You are graced with Kyojuro looking just a little disheveled each morning — bed head, chest out, Ya know ;)

Kyojuro often makes you laugh because of the ridiculous things he’ll try and do to stop the babies from crying

He can handle your babies pretty well, but the crying stresses him out cause he thinks they are in pain

Kyojuro usually holds one baby while you hold the other when you go out. But there have been times where he has one strapped to his chest and the other strapped to his back

The Hashira are swooning ngl

Even Sanemi is but he won’t admit it lmfao

Y’all made some cute ass kids and Rengoku loves showing them off — auntie Mitsuri is always begging to hold them

And don’t even get me started about HOW CUTE SENJURO IS AS AN UNCLE.

Shinjuro actually softened up a lot, he loves his grand-babies and wishes Ruka was still alive so she could meet them

As your kids get older, Kyojuro is always running around with them. Their first steps? Kyojuro bawled his eyes out

Unlike the others, Kyojuro tells his babies about the demon slayer corps. Of course they are still way to young to understand what that means, they know their daddy slays monsters to keep people safe

Kyojuro is already asking you about having a third baby by the time your twins are one

If it means getting to see his tiddies more often again? You’re pretty easily swayed to say yes

He’s an amazing father, really.

Storyline: So reader is a hashira/demon slayer and Sanemi has a crush on her, mitsuri is reader’s childhood best friend Shinobu, sees her as a older sister and giyuu and Tengen see her as a younger sister. Muichiro, Obanai and rengoku see her as a mom and Gyomei see’s her as a daughter. Reader is 19 but is younger then mitsuri.

- After they kidnapped you everyone wants to be around there Sister/Mom/BFF/Crush/Daughter. But you mostly see Mitsuri and Sanemi want to be around you.

-Even though all 8 of them loves you platonically and one of them love you romantically they won’t hesitate (except Mitsuri) to give you punishment.

-Sanemi will be saying “Why did you try to leave us don’t you love us” while hitting you until you leave or beg for mercy. He gets mad if you talk to other boys. He is a simp. He sees you as Kanae but better

-Since Mitsuri has been your childhood friend ever since kids she knows your other boy childhood friend who wants to marry you Mitsuri despise’s it when he tries to take away her attention from you and if you ignore her. Don’t worry your punishment will only be Guilt tripping and no ice cream because it’s your favourite food in this Au.

-Obanai calls you “Mom” because he sees you as the mom he never had and always wanted in this au you always smile and never stop smiling your so kind to others even Kaburamaru loves you but he won’t hesitate to punish you your punishment will be that you locked in a dark room with no food but don’t worry Your “Son” will always love you!

-Muichiro also calls you mom and cuddles you he hopes you don’t notice giving Sanemi or people death glares because they are flirting with HIS “Mom” he loves to cuddle you and you spoil him but he will punish you without you even realizing it he will fake cry and hurt himself in front of you so you can feel bad for him and not do the mistake you did.

-Shinobu sees you as Kanae because you basically have the same personality as her your always smiling and always cheer her up when your sad she sees you as a second chance to have a big sister she almost cried once when you went on a mission for more then 6 days because she taught you died. Her punishment includes her forcing you to drink poison that will make your body weaker so you don’t try to escape.

-Gyomei sees you as his daughter your so kind to him and he is always kind to you but not if you break a rule. He promises he doesn’t have a favourite hashira! But he always treats you better his punishment includes him breaking your legs and you need to say “Dad I’m so sorry I will never do it again” he like it when you call him dad if you don’t he will ask you why.

-Giyuu sees you as a younger sister he sees you as his older sister but younger he always makes sure to talk bad about himself in front of you so you can just comfort him. If he sees anyone flirting with his younger sister he will have a death glare. He smiles around you. His punishments includes him choking you while saying “Why did you do that? I thought you loved me” “Don’t you love me?” Repeating that until you say you love him back.

-Rengoku sees you as his mom he cares for you and you care for him he does a big spoon hug and always calls you “Mom” He also sees you as a second chance to have a mom. His punishment includes him not doing anything you ask so you can grow dependent on him and see how much you need your “Son”

-Tengen he sees you as a Younger sister even though he says “Be my fourth wife” just so he can piss Sanemi and the other hashira’s he gives you piggy back rides and pats your head. He calls you “My flamboyant sibling”. His punishment includes him forcing you to hurt yourself in front of him.

he doesn’t actively try for a child, part of him is still reluctant in so many ways. most of the time he beds you, sanemi tries not to think too much about it

so he’s shocked when he finds out that you’re with his child

when he hears the news, sanemi doesn’t know quite how to feel - all he knows is that his hands are trembling and cold sweat dots his brow - he hasn’t felt this afraid in a long, long time

he has a child. it’s his child, his flesh and blood, a gift from the heavens from your union

and he’s terrified

what if something happens during the pregnancy stage? what if something happens to the child? what if something happens to you? sanemi has already lost so many people - he cannot lose you and this unborn child of his that he hasn’t even seen with his own eyes

it would destroy him

this man has a severe case of emotional constipation so he tries to keep mum about it after a while, but you notice, of course

you work out what’s going on after a bit and have a serious talk with him about it, telling his to believe in your future together

extremely protective over you during the pregnancy, flat out refusing that you do anything strenuous during this critical period - you have to fight to get the broom back from him so that you can actually do something around the house

will throw hands with someone who so much as breathes wrong in your direction

sanemi pls calm down

during the actual childbirth, he’s forced to wait outside while you birth the child

tomioka - tomioka, of all people - is the one who sits by his side without a word, and for once, sanemi appreciates his presence

he prays desperately to any god out there, please, let your childbirth be a safe one, please, let your child come out alright, please-

it goes fine

when sanemi holds the baby in his scarred arms for the first time, he’s completely wordless, tracing his fingers delicately over the baby’s little forehead, brow, nose, lips

you’re a little worried if you broke something in him, but when the newborn grasps sanemi’s finger in their hand tightly, you see sanemi’s back shudder

five second later he’s trembling with the force of his sobs, fighting to keep them down but fat tears are falling down his cheeks as emotion washes and crashes over him

you laugh tiredly in the bed at the sight, and all sanemi manages to choke out is “... they’re ugly as fuck...”

“they look like you, that’s why”

after the childbirth sanemi relaxes significantly, but he’s still very worried about you and the child

contrary to what he says sanemi doesn’t think he’s seen a more beautiful sight

a strict dad, but would have very soft spots for daughters

10/10 overprotective dad

would encourage his kids to throw hands with whichever asshole dares to mess with them, teaches them to throw hands since the day they’re toddlers

“sanemi they can barely walk!!”

“hah? if they can walk they can swing-”

sneaks them treats when he thinks you’re not watching

his kids grow up a little rough, but with a strong sense of justice they get from watching their father

god he’s such a grumpy man but they see the way he treats the weak, elderly and children, with awkward gentleness and fierce protectiveness

they definitely get a family dog!! maybe a shiba inu or a golden retriever

when they’re younger, sanemi finds it a little difficult to connect with them due to his crude tongue, which can lead to conflict and arguments about him seeming unsympathetic

in this aspect, you’ll have to step in to bridge the gap

his children love him dearly, because no matter how barbed his tongue or how rough his personality, it’s difficult to deny just how much he cares about them, even if they want to

his kids love teasing him once they’re a little more grown up, trying to make him admit how soft he actually is

he loves them to bits and would do anything for them

the one thing he hates about them though is how much they like their uncle tomioka too

may i interest you in some hashira headcanons?

rengoku kyoujurou - first off, ftm. the man is trans. second, autistic. avoids eye contact? little to no volume-control? just the way he responds? yeah he’s autistic. he also loves cooking but he sucks at it! it makes him super happy when he finishes making a meal no matter how badly it turns out. he also gives off demisex/ro vibes! also he totally has a soft spot for people who have had to deal with shitty parents/guardians since he finds it easier to empathise with them.

shinobu kochou - she hates kids. she tries so hard with her tsuguko and the kids at the butterfly mansion and she wants to like kids but she just can’t. also, her favorite insects are not butterflies! she likes praying mantids, they’ve been her favorite since she found one in her house when she was super young. she’s also a lesbian, and like most of the hashira, she had a crush on mitsuri when she first showed up! now mitsuri is her biggest supporter in both her identity and her search for a girlfriend!

tomioka giyuu - he’s considered changing his name so many times it’s not even funny anymore. at the end of the series he does everything he can to learn to love himself. it starts small, “wow look at me go i straightened my futon” “i made myself breakfast, what a legend” and eventually he finds it much easier to casually make jokes about how “great” he is with a lot less sarcasm than he would before! everyone cheers him on and them caring about him helps a lot!

shinazugawa sanemi - sanemi likes to read! he doesn’t like super pretentious novels, but he enjoys ironically reading odd romance stories and unironically loves books on natural history! although he gets bored if they’re too easy or too hard to read, so he has to find ones with a good intermediate balance. and he’s never ever cried when he got too invested in the plot in the romance novels, never once *wink*

himejima gyomei - we all know he’z the dad friend, right? i feel like everyone has to agree on this. obviously oyakata-sama is the real “father figure” but himejima takes it as a personal duty to check up on how everyone is doing every now and again (especially giyuu because nobody trusts him to be okay) and when anyone is feeling down at all he cries with them and he makes for a pretty good therapist in a pinch. he’s also aro/ace. when he first learned abt romantic/sexual attraction he was a bit skeptical, but he supports all of the other hashira and their romantic pursuits.

muichiro tokito - genderfluid, has the biggest neo hoard out of all the hashira. they love going out with mitsuri for lunches because she’ll buy them as much food as they want. she’s not one to judge. their memory lapses also cause them a lot of distress, and those are the days when therapist himejima™️ comes in. also muichiro has chronic psychosis, and while they’ve figured out how to work around it, it hasn’t been the easiest thing for them to deal with.

kanroji mitsuri - panromantic! pangender but fem-aligned! demisexual! amab! she’s kind of in queerplatonic relationships with all of the hashira. she’s the cheerleader of the group, which puts a lot of strain on her at times. which can cause her to break down every now and again, but it’s nothing a group bonding session can’t help! she’s an extrovert at heart and feels the most happy and energized when she’z spending time with her friends. also, may i present adhd mitsuri who hyperfixates on different romance novels? (she totally doesn’t give them to shinazugawa when she’s done *wink*)

iguro obanai - i saw it/rot iguro once and i haven’t looked back since. its gender identity was severely influenced by rots trauma. honestly iguro sees rotself as more of a disgusting “thing“ than a person. uzui and muichiro didn’t understand this at first, and thought that was more of an obscure way of describing its gender than an insecurity, but since they rolled with it for so long soon it just became a source of coping jokes and an easy way to describe rots gender. it also picked up a knitting hobby? so rot makes masks for itself for fancy occasions when the bandages don’t cut it.

uzui tengen - poly king. polysexual, polyamorous, polygender. uses so many neopronouns and probably keeps a list. he also has a ton of xenogenders that he feels on a rotation, and whenever he gets thrown out of the rotation he acts very dramatic. sometimes he cooks for his wives and he’s way too good at it. his yelling problem comes from when he was little and he would talk very quietly, so nobody could hear what he was saying and they weren’t patient enough to deal with it, so they just encouraged him to yell. he’s trying to pull back on it because sometimes it makes suma cry (it doesn’t take much to make her cry but he feels so bad every time)
