You broke out in laughter while covering your face shyly. He noticed right away and called you out for it.

Even though you had been in this business for a while, you still couldn’t get used to all the manufacturing. Every question was ran by your management, they practically shoved the answers down your throat.

You desperately wanted people to know the real you - the raw and unfiltered y/n - but one false answer could kill your whole career. The masses were merciless on people like you, so you had to endure and play along.

Youngjae played his part brilliantly, no one would have assumed he knew every question and answer by heart. You chatted about your childhood and how hard it was to get a foot into the business. He asked you about your biggest success and most tragic failure. He asked you questions tailored to your image - glamorous yet still approachable.

And you were all those things, but you were also so much more.

Your fingertips itched, ready to spill out the forbidden secrets the public was dying to know.

You could have talked about the dark things - like only eating cotton pads soaked in tomato juice because managers considered you too fat.

You could have told them you didn’t had a period in years or that you wore wigs because your hair started to fall out.

You could have told them about ruthless directors that urged you to strip naked at auditions or disgusting producers that groped your ass because they felt like it.

You giggled at those memories.

„Let’s answer some fan questions“, Youngjae cheered.

His request brought you back to reality. This wasn’t in the script.

The caller was persistent, pestering you with intimate questions.

"Text me when you're on your way back. I mean it Changbin, if you forget again I will punish you somehow." The younger member pouted slightly but eventually gave in and agreed to text their leader when they were heading back home; the younger members of the group were all going to Got7's dorm for Mark's birthday. Chan had also been invited but since he was still getting over a small cold, he declined the offer playing it safe. "Yah, Jisung. Watch Felix's alcohol intake. The last thing I need is for him to wander off alone again." Jisung nodded and linked arms with his birthday twin before they all scrambled out of the door. Chan sighed heavily, while he was happy to finally have the dorm all to himself; he couldn't help but worry about his boys. "They'll be fine, they're adults. They can manage themselves without me." He attempted to calm himself with his own words but in reality, it just made him more worried. Shaking his head to rid himself of negative thoughts; Chan headed back to his bedroom thinking it might be nice to do an impromptu Channie's Room for Stay.

Entering his bedroom Chan realized that it was far too messy to actually go live and he really didn't feel like going to the company to go live either; it was cold outside and the last thing he needed was for his cold to get worse right before comeback season. He needed a distraction though; anything would do at this point, he just didn't want to become the over worried leader and start harrassing the members in their group chat while they were having fun. Flopping down onto his bed, he placed his arms behind his head and stared at the ceiling; it wasn't often that he had the whole dorm to himself so he really didn't know what to do. He could play video games without worrying about being too loud when he inevitably lost, or he could work on producing some new music without having to use his headphones, or he could watch a movie while on FaceTime with his sister Hannah.

Pulling out his phone, Chan decided to look through Twitter and see what Stays were up to; he clicked on the Stray Kids hashtag first and scrolled through all the edits that were recently posted. "Wow, these are really good. I wish I could reply to them all." he said out loud. He ended up saving a few of the edits to show the members later before clicking on his personal hashtag; his heart filling up with joy at all the sweet things Stays were saying about him. "Some day I'll get my own Twitter account and reply to you all my little Stays" clicking out of the app he hovered his thumb over his other apps wondering what to look at next; there was always TikTok but he really didn't find it all that interesting these days. As he pondered getting on Among Us or watching YouTube, he got a text from his sister and one of his best friends in Australia.

Baby Brat: Yah stupid! Have you ever read fanfiction about your group? Brady Boy: Hannah just found one about you and Minho that you should totally check out!

Chan rolled his eyes, sighing heavily and debating on even texting them back. He knew the fans wrote fanfiction about them; occasionally he would come across a link on Twitter to one and check it out, the fans really had a talent for writing. Some of the stories they came up with were just incredible; like the one he last read where Stray Kids were a pack of wolves, whoever the writer was really knew how to write a great story. Thinking about that story made him curious; he went back onto Twitter and searched up the hashtage Stray Kids fanfic, but to his dismay, there weren't any links for new stories. He wasn't too sure on where else one could find fanfiction either, he always just clicked on the links that Twitter had but never paid attention to the website that was pulled up.

Wolf Leader: I've read a few lol, found any good ones? Brady Boy: Not really, just a few that I found on Twitter but I assume you've already read those. Baby Brat: Just look on AO3 dummy *eye roll*

"AO3?" Chan asks out loud as if his sister could hear him from across the world. He opened up his phone's web browser to google and typed in 'AO3' the first link seeming like the right website but just to be sure he took a screen shot and sent it to his sister to confirm. Once she confirmed that the first link was indeed the website she was talking about; he clicked on it and registered himself. He made sure to use a pretty common user name so he could keep this a secret from fans and hopefully his members. Once he was finished, he clicked on the search button, thinking about what to actually search up; should he try just straight up Stray Kids or should he pick a specific ship? He honestly didn't know what ship he would even want to read about so he chose to just search Stray Kids. Approximately 47,000 stories popped up, each with their unique tags and story descriptions; "There's so many!" his eyes widening as he began to scroll down the first page, reading the brief descriptions of each before choosing one.

It was titled 'Loving the Devil' and was centered around himself and Lee Know. The tags didn't contain anything concerning (though it did mention smut) so he clicked on the title and began reading. The story was set in the idol universe so it was more realistic than being set in a school setting or something. The beginning of the story was pretty mild and scarily accurate; describing how stressed the members were during comeback season and Chan of course wishing he could help his boys relieve their stress somehow. "Look at me always caring for my boys, even in fake scenarios." he smiled as he continued reading the story.

About half way through the story, things really began to heat up; Chan got into a fight with Lee Know who ended up pushing him against a wall threatening to hit him. SKZ flix theory

I have no where to post this, so i’m posting it here

so lets begin

My personal theory on what actually happened

Skz in the parallel universe is actually trying to save a multitude of different worlds and preserving their specific timeline

For once, Felix was sent on a solo mission, to save this specific world that did not have him in it and I personally believe that he has the power to blend in and imprint on his surroundings so people do not see him as an anomaly. None of the other members could have done so because they all had their own timelines there. In that way, they only need to save a specific person, which I am assuming is Lee Know. Lee know who is an aspiring actor might have been on the verge of giving up on his dreams, which would result in the ‘reality’ that the original stray kids that are travelling the universes are trying to avoid. This can be seen through the injuries in Lee Knows face, in which he assumably got into a fight or was perhaps bullied since he is seen skipping class, but still hopeful with his dreams because of yongboks support.

Eventually Jisung and Seungmin find Lee know and Yongbok, with the main focus on Lee Know after Yongbok suggests they go on a walk, leading him specifically to that spot in which Jisung and Seungmin would take an interest in him as the main actor, seeing his potential which Yongbok was already well aware of. After all this, everything slowly comes together, assumably with Yongboks help since even the film festival is multiverse related. I am just assuming yongbok has the power to alternate time and space however he wishes, planting this whole thing as an idea. To those who think yongbok is invisible to everyone but lee know, he isn’t. He actually offered Jeongin a sandwich which jeongin accepted and eventually it ended up getting stolen by Hyunjin during filming.

However, yongbok has specifically allocated himself a side character sort of role within the film despite him being one of the actors, something that is not important and the film could still go on smoothly even without this character. In this way, Yongbok can easily be removed from the movie as a whole after people ‘forget’ him, which is also him bending the reality. This is seen through that one shot where Changbin had to do special effects. Yongbok was there the entire time but in the final cut, he isn’t even seen.

Eventually this leads to the scene at the bus, which everyone is asleep and Yongbok, without knowing, thinking they are still filming, says ‘I have to go back now’. (i got the order a bit wrong, but it still relates) Everyone being asleep is probably the sign of the ‘universe saving’ stray kids, saying that your mission here is almost finished and to wrap up quickly. It is only after this that yongbok got cut from the scene where changbin did the special effect (this is the part i got the order wrong) which is my assumption that he has started bending reality back to the way it is supposed to be.

Afterwards, in the theater, while watching the final result, it is seen that no one remembers yongbok as a result of the bending of reality, leaving only lee know, who was supposed to remember him since he needed to bring lee know back on track to his dreams, and lee know acting in this was the first step. Lee know then runs back to the spot where he was seen skipping class at the start of the film, showing a parallel when yongbok skips ‘their first screening’. And it all comes together when you remember that at the start, Yongbok said something about the teacher wanting them to draw someone, yongbok said he drew jinyong, but i am assuming he lied and drew lee know as a form of premonition in what he was going to do. He was going to paint the perfect scenario for them to live out their dreams together as seven people, jinyoung being part of got7, another premonition on what felix’s final result was supposed to be.

Finally, it shows the alternative of reality where Lee know was originally supposed to be, not at the movie, with cuts on his face, lying down on the wooden platform, yongbok/felix taking his place in that world to maintain order before returning to the stray kids he was originally from.

then again this is my personal theory!

The Bangtan Gal Chapter 58- Fan Sign

Chapter Summary: BTS attend a fansign and Jennie deals with more discrimination as OT7 supporters skip and ignore her during the fan sign. Jennie meets and hangs with Sam Okyere

Genre: Some angst due to mean words from anti fans towards Jennie but ends in fluff!!

Jennie sat near the end of the table, in between Rapmon and J-Hope for another BTS fan sign. The American had a love/hate relationship with fan signs because there were bad seeds that didn’t like her and only wanted to support the boys. Over the years she has tried hard to make a name for herself. She did not want to be some forgotten member of the group. She seemed to have done well, making an impact as an African American in Seoul but it was inevitable that people just did not like her.

Most of the time, she did not like attending these fan signs and wished that there could be a way that she didn’t have to go. There were usually some OT7 supporters that tended to ignore her and skip her at fan signs, making her feel some type of way.

It sucked and it hurt.

It is 2015.

Why are you still bitter that a young woman is with a group of guys? Professionally performing?

She didn’t do anything wrong but there were a bunch of antis that just did not like her because she was a girl in BTS.

What can you do?

It was the same reasons.

It’s a dumb idea, why would anyone want this?

This should not happen, it isn’t realistic.

No way in the world they would put a black person in K-Pop.

Jennie had a hard time putting on a poker face as it clearly looked like she didn’t want to be there and was mentally preparing herself for those who were going to skip her during the fan sign. Most fansites of hers would film her reactions and express concern that she looked somewhat troubled when fan signs are supposed to be a happy time.

The members would notice and give her reassuring smiles, hand squeezes and place a hand on her shoulder for support along with encouraging words, which helped her out.

While signing autographs, there were written questions for her as she wrote down answers on sticky notes.

‘On ALLKpop, there was a poll for who is the best looking foreigner in K-Pop. You weren’t on the list. How do you feel about that?’

Mentally preparing for social media to give their opinions on her answer, she wrote, “Honestly, I’m not even surprised but in reality, who cares about a poll about who is the best looking? As long as you know that you’re beautiful, that should be all that matters. No need for a poll to prove that. I wish they’d stop that, tbh.”

Some would probably say that she’s saying this out of spite because she wasn’t on the list, while others would agree and support her answer.

‘What male K-Pop groups have you been listening to lately?’

“I really like GOT7, they’re really cool and make some great music. Also, Monsta X and Seventeen. Ever since I came to South Korea, the members have been getting me into good movies, shows, and music.”

BTS had some unique fans and from time to time fans would like to ask Jennie this question, “Can I touch your hair?” and she would always respond with the same answer with a smile, “No, you cannot, hon.”

Jen liked to see male supporters of Bangtan come to the fan signs. Mainly groups have a bunch of female fans and it was a nice change to see guys pop up at fan signs. And those who were not from Korea. She loved the diversity.

“Jennie! Are you looking for any guys, yet?” one guy had asked her, intertwining his fingers with hers.

“Waiting for one to sweep me off my feet. Perhaps, it’s you?” she teased, making him feel shy.

“I-I hope so! Can we have a staring contest?”

She leaned up close to his face, staring closely into his eyes. As they stared each other down for a few seconds, Jennie ended up blinking and the guy happily celebrated.

When another male fan approached her, she sweetly asked questions like if he had eaten today and how he was doing.

“I heard you like to work out with Jungkook. Let’s arm wrestle to check out your strength.” he proposed

“All righty, you’re on!” she put her arm out, clasped his hand and they began.

Slowly, she brought his arm down and gave herself a pat on the back.

“Ahhh, you’re stronger than I thought. Jungkook will be proud.”

“I hope so too, I’ll be sure to let him know.”

As the fan sign went on, Miss Bangtan continued to write down answers to questions on sticky notes.

‘Who do you think is improving the most in BTS?’

“Jin.” she wrote. “He deserves more recognition. His vocals, his dancing. I’m very proud of him.”

‘Jennie, how did it feel to be a trainee for a short amount of time? Did you feel ready?’

“It was surreal for them to announce me as Miss Bangtan. I did feel ready because they gave me a chance and believed in me to be here. I won’t take it for granted. I will work hard, so keep being a great supporter and give BTS lots of love, mkay?”

When the next fan shifted over to her, Jennie smiled and greeted her. But, the fan rolled her eyes and went to Hobi instead.

‘And here comes the BS...’ she thought with annoyance as her doubts came back.

Jen had heard Hobi ask why the fan skipped her and the fan bluntly replied that she just didn’t like her at all.

“Well, clearly you aren’t a true BTS fan if you don’t support all the members.” Jen bluntly pointed out, causing the girl to get annoyed and toss the album she was getting signed at the table, storming off.

“Wow, really?” she frowned while the rest of the members looked irritated at the fan’s disrespect.

Everyone around them wasn’t too pleased with the behavior either.

“Sorry, munchkin.” Hobi smiled sadly, giving her hand a gentle squeeze

“It’s fine.” she shrugged.

When given another written question that asked, ‘What do you have that is better than the members?’

Jennie wrote, ‘A big booty. Lol.’

‘Ennie-ah! When are you dying your hair?’ was the next written question as she chuckled at the next common question she was asked ever since debut.

She wrote, ‘Good things happen to those who wait. I’ll dye my hair when you least expect it. Soon. I know everyone is anticipating it. It’ll be a color that’ll suit me. Please be excited!’

‘What’s your pre-concert ritual?’

“I used to do cartwheels but now I make sure to eat smarties and do jumping jacks to get the blood flowing. It calms my nerves. I also try to warm up my voice and pray before going on stage.” she wrote on the sticky note.

“I know you get flustered with things like this but I think you’re so cute when you attempt to do it. Can you show me some aegyo?” the next fan requested.

When given another written question which was, ‘Would you date a fan?’

Jennie wrote, ‘Love is unpredictable. So yes, if someone catches my eye.’

‘Out of all the members, who would you date?’

‘Jin. He always takes good care of me and cares a lot. His cooking is great, who wouldn’t want to date him? Hahaha, we getting some serious SeokJen today, huh? Hope this feeds the shippers. I know what y’all are up to on Tumblr. Y’all crazy, lol.’

“Jennie, are you dating, right now?” another ARMY asked. When Jen shook her head, they added, “If you liked someone, how would you confess?”

“Hm...I think I’d be in denial first, thinking my mind is just acting silly. But I do want to be straightforward with the guy. I’m not quite sure how yet. Next time I’m asked, I’ll think of a better answer.”

“Who would you marry in BTS?”

“You,” Jen answered with a sweet smile, causing the girl to feel flushed.

‘I’m REALLY trying to convince Yoongi but he’s not having it. I’m still persistent.’

‘Have you thought of marriage?’

Everyone liked to ask people this type of question, but Jen honestly did not have a solid answer and wrote, ‘Uh...not really. I'm trying to enjoy being young and getting my life on the right track. I'm not thinking of marriage right now.’

‘Do the members get mad at you if you don’t call them oppa?’

‘Nah. They’re cool about it. I feel weird calling them that. Plus a little disrespectful? But they’re understanding. I don’t like saying that word.’

The next fan approached her as Jen smiled and started signing her autograph.

“Can I ask you a question?” The fan asked

“Yeah, go ahead.”

“Can you leave BTS?”

“What?” she looked up in confusion, after signing her autograph.

“Can you leave the group?”

“Why would I do that?”

“Because you left a group before. You can do it again. Please do it again. For everyone’s sake. The members don’t even like you. I bet they’re so happy when you’re not around.” the female anti glared at her.

Hobi turned to the anti and frowned. “Hey, that isn’t true. If you have nothing nice to say, you should leave.”

“No, I won’t leave.” she turned back to Jennie. “Truth is, no one likes you, here. You are so irrelevant in the group. It’s so stupid to have a girl in this group. Coed groups never work. It should be seven guys and that’s it. And before you even think about calling me a racist, I’m not. I have black friends. You don’t bring anything to the table. Your singing is annoying, you will never be able to join the rap line, you can’t dance half as well as Jin or Rapmon and your guitar skills will never be great. You are slowing BTS down.”

Security stepped in, to try to escort the girl away but she stood her ground. “If there was going to be a girl in the group, it should at least be an Asian girl. Not no American. You stupid Americans take over everything! Now you wanna come here and take over K-Pop? Just leave K-Pop alone and go away! You are too dark to be in K-Pop. Americans shouldn’t even be in K-Pop. Leave already! You already did once.”

Jennie exhaled slowly, trying so hard not to slap the girl. It wasn’t worth it. But lately, people have been testing her patience.

“Exactly what did I do so wrong to you?” she looked at the Anti fan.

“You’re breathing.”

That was extremely uncalled for and not cool at all. Jennie became so upset that she was this close to grabbing the anti by her hair and dragging her across the table. But that wouldn’t be a good idea for the sake of Bangtan’s public image. She couldn’t do that to the members, no matter how much she wanted to beat the girl’s ass.

So much for positive thinking...

The members began to get upset at how rude the girl was and started to speak up, while the security guards escorted her out.

“I agree with her.” the next fan approached Jennie.

Wow, so this was all planned out?

Jeez. The Lord was testing Jennie today because she really wanted to attack somebody.

“Joining BTS was a mistake for you. I hate how you want everything to be in English.” They went on

‘I never said anything like that.’ Jen thought with annoyance.

That was just another bad rumor to make her look bad. Antis even had #MissBangtanIsCanceled trending on Twitter a few weeks ago.

“You are so rude, you don’t even call them oppa. You think you know everything. It’s like you want to be Korean but you’ll never ever be Korean. And I hope you don’t think you’re going to be dating anyone around here because why would anyone want to date a pig like you.”

“You done...?” Miss Bangtan raised a brow, trying to keep her anger in check.

“No, I’m not done! You don’t know anything about our culture. You are hopeless. I give you until the end of the year before you decide to leave Bangtan. Because all that you are is a weak little girl that decides to leave when things don’t go her way.” the girl stood up from the table and started to yell at her while security interfered. “How dare you waltz into K-Pop? You had such a short training period and that is unfair to all those trainees that worked hard for years and still don’t have a spot in a group. So what did you do to get a spot in Bangtan? Did you have to pay Big Hit for a spot? How can Big Hit choose someone like you? They should’ve made you leave after the whole GLAM scandal in the company. You should go back to your country! Go back to Africa or whatever ditch you came from! I don’t get why anyone would have a black bastard like you in K-Pop.”

It took the strength of God for Jennie to not punch her in the face. That made her angry and it got under her skin. It was also hypocritical of the anti to say that she didn’t deserve the spot in Bangtan when other idols had shorter training periods than her and still gets embraced by fans. For instance, Yeeun from Wonder Girls and even Baekhyun.

What was wrong with people these days? All of this for what?

What was the reason?

They had no solid reason to act this way about her. It was sad and pathetic.

“You know what? You’re making me upset. Take a chill pill.” Miss Bangtan responded. “You have no valid reason why you hate me. I bet the reason you’re doing it is because you’re following what others are doing and it shouldn’t be like that. It’s quite sad you’re acting this way. It’s also unattractive. You are so beautiful but no one is ever going to want to date someone with such a disgusting personality. I’ll be praying for you. I hope one day you can support all of Bangtan and not just seven members. Now, I highly suggest you get out of my face and have a blessed day.”

The girl didn’t have anything to say after that, stunned by her response and was kicked out of the fan sign. The members felt extremely bad about how much discrimination she was getting from those two antis.

Jen was so angry, that some tears began to fall and she quickly wiped them as the fansites continued to film.

“Jennifer.” Namjoon placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Are all Koreans, like this?” she asked and shook her head in disappointment. “Is this going to happen every time we have fan signs? ‘Cause this is very tiring and I don’t feel like catching a case on some of these bad seeds because one day I’m going to snap and beat someone’s ass. And I don’t want to do that but they really trying me, Namjoon. I’m so over this. If they think I’m going to leave because of a few bad seeds, they’re wrong. But this needs to stop, like, now. This has been happening for a couple of years now and I can’t take much more of this. I get it, you don’t like me. I don’t care, it’s reality, and not everyone is going to like someone. But do you have to be this unnecessary?”

As she ranted, Namjoon gave her a pep talk which helped her cool down. After a while, the next fan who approached her looked sympathetic and wiped Jen’s tears from her eyes.

“I apologize on behalf of those rude antis. They are not BTS fans if they can’t support all eight of you. Please don’t let it get to you. I don’t want to see my bias mad or upset.”

“Thank you. I appreciate it. I won’t.” Jen began to feel calm as she kept her head up high.

As the fan sign went on, Jennie continued to be in a better mood, having some stickers on her face thanks to some fans, and even was given a Captain American themed headband to wear, which annoyed Jungkook.

“Are you ever going to do any solo work? Like, create a mixtape or a mini album?” she was asked.

“I have a bunch of songs on my laptop that I made over the years but I want to rerecord them when my vocals get better and then I’ll think about releasing them. As of right now, no plans anytime soon. I personally feel like I am not ready for that, yet. I don’t want to release half-assed music for ARMY. Maybe in a few years.”

The next fan had given her a written question and once Jen read it, she chuckled softly.

“Wow. You guys are bold today, aren’t you?” she asked with amusement.

The question was a personal one. Extremely personal. It boldly asked if she was a virgin.

“You don’t have to answer. I just saw this all over the internet and was curious.” The fan responded nervously.

This has also been over social media ever since she debuted. All the assumptions are that she sleeps with the members since she lives in the dorm with them. It was just too much. So, hopefully, this will shut everyone up with the rumors and accusations.

Jen wrote, ‘Yes and I’m aware of all the not safe for work comments about me on social media. Y’all thirsty af. I also have seen the various assumptions about me. The first and last time I am making it clear that I am waiting for someone special instead of hooking up. Hooking up is not my cup of tea. I want an emotional connection with someone. Not something casual. And it is sad to see people look so shocked when they hear that someone like me is a virgin. I don’t think me being a virgin is a big deal. Honestly, who cares? I wish people would stop hypersexualizing black women.’

“Can you speak English for me?” one fan who approached her asked, shyly.

“Thank you for supporting Bangtan. It’s people like you that are the reason that Bangtan is here, today. Also, have you tried smarties? They’re absolutely delicious!” she responded.

“Ahhh your voice! It’s so different from when you speak in Korean. I love you, so much!”

“Aw, thanks, I like to be loved.” Miss Bangtan grinned and shared a laugh with the fan.

The fan had also given her smarties which made her day better.

Another question someone had written was, ’Would you ever get plastic surgery?’

'Nothing against those who get it but no, absolutely not. I don’t want to change anything about myself. I love how my body is, even with the flaws. I’m glad Big Hit loves my natural beauty, unlike one of the other K-pop companies that I auditioned for. One day I'll spill the tea. I'm glad I chose Big Hit, I’ll just keep it at that. To be blunt and honest, the beauty standards here make me sad. We should embrace our natural beauty and not feel obligated to change our looks because of what others want us to look like.’

‘Favorite brands?’ caused Jennie to smile.

‘Nike is my LIFE. It’s a must! As long as you buy me Nike stuff, I’m happy. I also like American Eagle and Forever 21. Oh, and Victoria’s Secret. I love how I look in their expensive af underwear, despite their prices being an arm and a leg. And I like how my butt looks when I wear them LOL. I dunno why but for some reason, I like how some of their red, black and yellow underwear looks on me. I look cute in them. My skin color looks great in those colors. Especially black, I love black. Oh jeez, I think I just gave you Tumblr imagine ideas. Should I be concerned? LOL. It’s cool, I don’t care what you do.’

“Hi, Jennie!” the next fan sweetly greeted her in English, with a bright smile on her face.

The fan looked about her age and was American, which pleasantly surprised her.

“Girl! You came all the way from the USA to see me?” Jennie couldn’t stop smiling at her.

“Of course! I finally get to meet my favorite idol! You are way prettier in person. And I am so happy that I get to tell you how you made me start believing in myself. Thank you for being you 100%. You are so real and I hope you never change. I hope you continue to work hard in Bangtan and stay in K-Pop. True ARMY loves and supports all members. We love you! I hope you know that.”

The fan's words almost made her tear up as she nodded and held her hand.

“Always.”

A few days after the fan sign, Sam Okyere, whom Jen had been following for a few months now, reached out to her on Instagram via comment about wanting to meet. She immediately responded that she would love to meet him and quickly DM’ed him to figure out a good date to meet. Within the next day, she made her way to a private place where they wouldn’t be disturbed by any fans

After a few minutes of waiting, she felt a hand on her shoulder and she turned to look up to see Sam smiling.

“Jennie, hello!”

“Hi! It’s so nice to finally meet you!” she embraced him. She felt so happy as she felt a rush of positive vibes when in front of him. “You have no idea how happy I am to see you. I really enjoy watching you on Korean TV.”

“Really? Wow, thank you!” he sat down with her.

“I’m glad you reached out to me. I’ve been wanting to for a while but kind of chickened out.”

“We’re here now. Don’t ever hesitate to message me.”

As they got into conversation to get to know each other, Sam brought up, “I heard about what you went through at a recent fan sign. I’m sorry to hear about that.”

“Yeah, I don’t know what I did so wrong. I thought they would be so much more mature than that. The hostility is brutal. It often angers me and I want to yell and scream but public image is everything. How do you do it? I get so angry about this stuff, it’s really frustrating. I know racial discrimination is everywhere in the world. But is there advice on overcoming it?”

“I always think it’s best to try your best to know about the culture and language. Koreans think you’re standoffish if you don’t know Korean. How did they react when you spoke in Korean?”

“Boy, they were pretty surprised, I’ll tell you that. I would get compliments on it and everything. Some even talked to me more once they heard me speak their language. Normally people would hesitate and ask me if I know Korean because most don’t know English, just their primary language.”

“You see that they tend to open up all of a sudden when you know more about their culture.”

“Mm-hm. What’s the hardest thing you faced in Korea with racial discrimination?

“When I attended college, I really didn’t know much of the language then. I didn’t have any friends so I did feel lonely and upset. There was this black music club at the school and I joined as the first black person.”

“Wow.”

“There was this guy I knew and he said that he had studied abroad in Canada and he told me that he understood how I felt here in Korea. So he wanted to treat me better. He wanted to work on assignments with me that I had struggled with and wanted to eat together.”

“That’s really good that he feels like that,” she responded. “I always feel lonely when I don’t see someone who looks like me. Someone that I can relate to. But I do have friends who accept me for who I am and never treat me differently because of the color of my skin or being a foreigner. I hope that people here can learn more about the world and other cultures.”

Sam nodded. “I understand how you feel. It is frustrating. Although I experienced racism here in Korea, people ask me why do I stay. I say that it’s the word, us. Despite the bad experiences, I had good experiences, too. I made tons of amazing friends. Whenever I’m going through a bad time, they tell me, ‘Don’t worry, you can get through this because of us.’ Around Christmas do you ever feel lonely?”

“Lowkey, yes because I’m not with my family.”

“That is also how I feel because I get reminded about my family. Foreigners in Korea, they get the most lonely during Christmas. My friend, he asked me what I would be doing for Christmas and I would tell him that I want to go back to Ghana but the airfare is too expensive so I’ll be staying in Korea. My friend offered for me to spend Christmas with him and I was planning on leaving after the meal but stayed for three days.”

“Wow.” she looked on in amazement. “That is so sweet of him. With Bangtan...” she started chuckling and began to tear up.

All those pleasant memories she spent with BTS hit her hard as she tried to blink the tears away.

“People have no idea how those boys have made my experience in Korea so...painless. Taehyung was the first person I met when I came to Korea. I was a trainee then. He took time out of his busy schedule to hang out with me, show me around places in Korea, and even got me into trying various Korean foods. He is so incredibly sweet and welcomed me with open arms. Supported me while I tried out to try to be the Bangtan Girl of BTS, too. And Christmas with Bangtan...I miss my family but they make me feel like I’m at home. We exchange gifts, fight over who puts up the decorations for the tree, we make a mess, it’s just...pure happiness.” she explained. “And I’ll always cherish that. They always tell me that I’m never alone even if I’m in another country, away from my family. That I have them and good friends who love me for who I am and won’t discourage me. It makes me feel less lonely. “

As they continued to talk, Sam brought up, “I cooked some Ghanaian food.”

“Oh snap, you have? Right now we’re gonna eat that?”

He nodded and smiled. “Let’s bring it out.”

Plates of various foods were in front of them and she smiled. “All of this looks so delicious! Wow. I never tried African food.”

“Really? You are African American?” He asked

“Yes, born in America. All I really had was American food and the soul food that my family makes. I do enjoy eating different foods from other cultures as well.”

”I’m sure you’ll enjoy all of this. Have you learned of your ancestry from black racial groups in Africa?”

“I haven’t but would love to know actually.”

“I can help you look into that.”

“That would be great.”

“Let’s dig in. This is Jollof rice and fufu. But try the soup first.” he pointed out as she took a spoon and tried it.

“I like it.” she praised and took her chopsticks to pick up some meat to dip into the soup. “What type of meat is this?”

“It’s goat meat.”

“Ooh, first time trying this.” she took a bite and nodded in approval. “I like that kick.”

“Yeah, it’s a little spicy,” he responded and ate some goat meat with her.

“And what about this? Finger food?” she pointed to another plate.

“Yes, you eat this with your hands.” He responded and she took a piece and ripped a piece off before placing it in her mouth. “You have to swallow it.”

“Not chew?” she asked, surprised.

“Nah.” He chuckled. “We don’t chew it, just swallow, right away because it’s a soup.” he demonstrated and she mimicked his movements.

“This is so delicious! Thank you for this. I’m definitely telling my mom to try to make all of this.”

Sam licked his fingers clean and she did the same.

“My mom always tells me to not lick my fingers and to just wipe them off with a towel because it’s not polite,” Jen added. “But how can I not with this soup? It’s so good. I still act rebellious towards her and lick my fingers anyway when I eat.”

“I’m sure your mom won’t mind this time.” he laughed

Sam gestured to her to try the Jollof rice next, letting her know that it was somewhat similar to Korea’s kimchi fried rice. Jen took a bite, eating it with him while sighing in delight.

“Is there like some way you can come by Bangtan’s dorms and cook for me?” she teased and they ended up laughing. “Cause this food just reminds me of home. Like I never ate any of this but I just feel at home. It's so good!”

“I’m very happy that you do.” he beamed as he ate a small chicken leg. “With the chicken, sometimes I even chew the bones because it has flavor.”

“Oh, I have some family members that chew bones too. I never actually chewed on the bones. But I’ll try it today. My mom is a dentist so she was always up my behind on making sure my teeth were well cleaned. I’m sure eating a bone won’t crack my teeth.”

“She sounds very passionate about good teeth.”

“Trust me, she is. It can be so annoying!” she groaned.

“How are you in K-Pop? Are you held to unfortunate high standards?”

“Yes, sadly. I remember wearing a traditional Korean Hanbok and I was so nervous because I knew I would get a wave of criticism about it. And like I predicted, I did.” she shook her head. “Before I came here, I tried to make sure I was prepared and knew a lot of the language and culture. And of course, some claim I’ll be prettier with lighter skin. I will always be respectful here and respect their culture. But I refuse to live up to their beauty standards just because they don’t think darker skin is attractive. I won’t change myself for someone else.”

“I’m glad you have that mindset of not changing for anyone. Keep that. How are you in SOPA? High school in Korea hard for you?”

“You know it took a while for me to transition to their school system but overall, I’m one of those people who enjoys learning in school, so it isn’t that bad. But I still do get stared at all the time, no matter where I am. Being abroad, you learn about yourself and learn how capable you are. It’s a challenge. But I hope that my tolerance will grow as I continue to be here in Korea.”

After their meal, the two embraced, took a few selfies and she posted them on Twitter, ‘Thank you for everything!! It was so nice meeting you! I’m looking forward to hanging out with you again. #Jen’

After meeting Sam, Jen felt her loneliness and doubts decrease and she went back to the dorm with a positive attitude. She was eager to tell her family about learning more about African foods so they could enjoy it together when she was able to go back home.

South Korean Singer, Songwriter, and Dancer Yugyeom, Together With Thai Actor, Singer and Model Nanon to Attend Grand Opening of the New Coach Concept Store at The Exchange TRX Mall

South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer YUGYEOM will be making a visit to Malaysia on 2nd February 2024, for the grand opening of the new Coach concept store at The Exchange TRX Mall.

Trained under JYP Entertainment, YUGYEOM appeared on the 2013 Mnet reality survival program WIN: Who Is Next. On January 16, 2014, YUGYEOM debuted with K-pop boy group GOT7 releasing the EP Got It?. Over the years, he also took part in creating choreographies for "If You Do" from their EP MAD, and for "POISON" from their EP DYE.

In February 2021, YUGYEOM joined AOMG. On June 22, 2021, YUGYEOM made his debut on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart at number two with "I Want U Around." He held a solo concert in Manila on August 19, debuting the unreleased track "Always Ready," and performed two sold-out shows at Impact Exhibition Hall 5 in Bangkok on August 27 and 28, 2022. On January 2, 2023, he released the digital single "Ponytail," followed by the single album LOLO on July 24.

The opening of the new Coach TRX store will be joined by Nanon, who will be a making special appearance alongside YUGYEOM.

Koraphat Koetphan, nicknamed Nanon, is a Thai television actor, singer and model. He made his acting debut in 2015 and best known for his leading roles in drama series such as Secret Love: My Lil Boy & My Lil Boy 2 and Bad Buddy Series. In 2021, Nanon was nominated for the Asian Academy Creative Awards and the Asian Television Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his role in The Gifted and The Gifted Graduation.

Nanon was casted as the leading actor for his first Thai feature film, SLR in 2022 and also made his solo artist debut under Riser Music, with the stage name NANON and the single Unidentified Wonder, and released his first full-length album The Secrets Of The Universe in the same year.

The opening of the new Coach TRX store will be an exclusive and private event. A red carpet occasion will be held in conjunction with the event where public could catch a glimpse of their favourite celebrities at the store entrance. Other celebrities and guests include Alyph, Alvin Chong, Anna Jobling, Daiyan Trisha and many more.

Park Gunwook and sexiness

So, someone reblogged my post and added these tags. I'd like to address them.

You haven't read all my recaps, clearly. I stated from the first that I personally don't find Park Gunwook sexy as he is too young for that. I don't think there's anyone on the show that I find "sexy."

In kpop, sexiness is a concept and a role. For example, in an interview with Kang Daniel, he said that he was the "sexy" one in his group -- he said that with a straight face, the way that someone might say they're the drummer or guitarist in a band. Nearly every kpop group has a "sexy" member. Exo has Kai, got7 had Jackson Wang, SKZ has Hyunjin. Even girl groups have a sexy member -- Red Velvet has Joy, and G-Idle had Soojin. When I say that they're the "sexy" member, I am not saying that I personally find them sexy (well, Kai, maybe...) I am saying that it's their job.

Park Gunwook is clearly going for that position, and it's working for him. Park Gunwook is "sexy" the way that Kim TaeRae is a main vocalist and Wang Zi Hao is a main dancer and Cai Jin Xin is a "visual." It's literally his position. This is one of the photos he posed for. He's GOING FOR THIS LOOK.

As for him being 18, Jeon Ho Young is also 18 -- he's just 6 or 7 weeks older than Gunwook -- and did the shirt lift in Burning Up. And they showed that on TV. They did instant replays of it. And the judges commented on his body. Should you be watching the show if you find that so offensive?

Also, he is NOT a minor in either my country or in Korea. Yes, in Korea the age of majority is 19, but in Korea, Gunwook would be considered 19, which makes him not a minor.

While I personally do not find Park Gunwook sexy, given (a) the nature of my recaps and (b) the nature of how Kpop works, I will use the word "sexy" in reference to what he's going for in this show, because it is an accurate description of his role. In fact, I called him Sexy Jellyfish throughout my early recaps, because that is his ROLE that he's GOING FOR. I don't leer over him, I have no intention of reaching out to him in real life in any way, but I will use that word because there is no other word that adequately expresses his role in a group.

I am saying this in all kindness: don't read my recaps if you can't handle the way I am talking about kpop and its realities. That goes for anyone else who cannot handle the words "Park Gunwook" and "sexy" in the same sentence.

[NEWS] Former 2NE1 member Sandara Park will be making her long-awaited solo debut this July.

On June 14, several South Korean news outlets reported that Sandara Park would soon be returning to the music industry as a soloist. Later that day, a representative from Park’s current agency, Abyss Company, confirmed to Star News that she would be making a comeback in July.

“Sandara Park will make a comeback in the music industry as a solo artist in July. We ask for your understanding that we cannot reveal the specific [release] timing or form of the album yet,” shared the agency in a brief statement.

The upcoming release will be Park’s first music in over four years, since being featured on former bandmate Park Bom’s ‘Spring’ in 2019. While the singer had previously released a self-titled EP in the Philippines in 2005, prior to her debut in 2NE1, this will be her debut as a soloist in the K-pop industry.

Park debuted as one of four members of 2NE1 under YG Entertainment in 2009 with the single ‘Fire’. The quartet went on to become one of the most successful girl groups, spawning hits like ‘I Am The Best’, ‘Ugly’, ‘I Don’t Care’ and more.

Following the girl group’s disbandment in 2016, Park furthered her career as an actress and television host, starring in films like One Step and Cheese in the Trap. She also went on to host reality and talk show programmes like Video Star, Idol League and Get It Beauty.

In 2021, Park left longtime agency YG Entertainment and signed with Abyss Company, which is currently home to artists like Sunmi, GOT7’s BamBam and Melomance.

THE CARD FLUTTERS TO YOUR FEET. WHO WERE YOU BEFORE THIS STORY BEGAN?

A ballpoint tip of his pen smoothly glides over crisp paper, scribbling undecipherable words in list form. The salivating aroma of an earthy, rich tomato-based stew wafts in his direction, but doesn’t do much to snap him back into reality. Neither does the clanging pots near the dishwasher area, or the boisterous atmosphere by the bar. The restaurant lights had been dimmed to prevent last minute customers from entering, which barely ever worked on a slow night. After all, no one was more willing to overlook the “closed” sign on a door than a drunk person looking for something to eat past midnight.

“Kang, will you join us?”

A firm hand rests upon his arm, traveling upwards to unintentionally squeeze too tight around the ball of his shoulder. Shin was never aware of his physical strength, even a pinch received from the man’s index finger and thumb would leave a mark for several days. Pain shoots down his forearm to his elbow, which instinctively collides with the man’s stomach. A series of expletives escape Shin’s mouth, while his fingers uncurl from the pen, allowing it to nestle between the spine of the leather journal and await for the man to resume his task.

“Don’t sneak up on me, Shin.” He rises to stand from the unstable stool, smile curling on the corner of his lips when he faces his friend. It was the non-verbal apology, always reciprocated between friends. He steps around him, untying the apron from his waist. “Yea, I’ll join you soon.” He mumbles while he sets the apron near the sink, reaching for his phone from his back pocket on his way out onto the patio.

“Ten minutes!” He yells out to Shin before the door swings close behind him. He finds his usual seating place on the concrete bench, positioned directly where he had an unobstructed view of the moon. Hearing the ringback tone near his ear frustrates him more than the robotic audio notifying him that the inbox is full. He redirects his attention to his messaging app, finger pressing on the microphone after selecting the top contact to record yet another message.

“Yah, Yohan. Why are you being such an asshole?” The tone of his voice was one of defeat rather than anger. “I’ve been calling you for the past week. Where are you? Stop worrying me. If something happened, you don’t have to hide it from me. I’ll help you through whatever. I won’t get our parents involved. Just call me back. Please.”

A part of him hopes that “delivered” or a read receipt shows up when he presses send, but he has become accustomed to his attempts hitting dead ends. He pulls up the ferry schedule to Gwasuwon, clicking on the ticket purchasing tab before he is once again interrupted by Shin. “What happened to those ten minutes?”

He thumbs the power button on his device, exasperatedly sighing when he stands.

“Your stew better be life-changing, Shin.”

~General Analysis~

Okay, I wanted to start off by saying this was a very complex ship to put together for you. I’m not referring to the ship style since I love doing these ships, it was more the fact that from your playlist alone I was able to paint such a vivid picture of you and Mark. I had considered other members initially but I ultimately couldn’t get over the idea of you and Mark, there would be so much to your relationship. The way the two of you would come together is quite distinct, your personalities would react to each other in an odd way. In any normal circumstance your personalities would clash in a manner that irritates the two of you, but you and Mark have somehow outwitted the universe and have subsequently won a relationship that is more valuable than any Swarovski crystal in existence.

I honestly loved the moments of my day when I had your playlist on repeat, it was such a charming selection of songs. Though some of them varied in style there was always this sense of forthcoming emotions, each song is an honest insight into the artists, and yes I see Vacation Bible School as an honest insight into Ayesha Erotica because when you look at it it’s actually such a poetic song??? The first thing that comes to mind is a mix of energy and youthfulness that is delicately intertwined with a sense of maturity where you know that you have to grow up in some sense. It reminds me of attending a summer camp, but you sneak away from the others, holding your crushes hand so you can find a clearing and make out. This just screams Mark, his emotions are deep and he often maintains a sense of maturity and attempts to keep his emotions in check. But when he meets you he would feel like an emotional mess, he has gone through so much in his life so holding you in his arms would be a sense of hard hitting relief.

There is longing, excitement, angst and more in your playlist, which if you think about it works well with the theme of what life truly is. Since Mark views you as being such a strong presence in his life he would seem sporadic and would ride the wave of intense emotions he feels early into your relationship, since you bring him so much emotional comfort there is a high likelihood that he would be just so dedicated to you. He feels that everything is just so right and though there is domesticity and deep devotion present your relationship it would always feel fresh and new. You would both feel like adventurers who seek out amazing experiences.

From the outside your relationship gives the impression that it’s just two love sick kids who have to be touching each other in one way or another. That’s actually so far from reality, there is a tinge of angst in your relationship, neither of you mention it to those around you entered each others lives when you both needed the other to put a metaphorical soothing balm over your emotional trauma. In some ways you were both partially sceptical, thinking that your relationship would be somewhat of a let down. This actually strengthened your relationship since you were able to find comfort in each other, Mark really holds onto this. This would cause him to assume the role of the overprotective boyfriend, he would never be able to forgive himself if someone hurt you again.

The moodboard I created was the best way I, as a person with synesthesia, could represent the intricacies of your connection with Mark. Blue and white is definitely a combination that is easy on the eyes but I chose it because white is a very strong colour. It represents connection, strength and severity. It represents the intense love that you share between each other, often times things get steamy in the blink of an eye because Mark brings out a side of you that yearns for excitement and things to be as fast paced as they can possibly be. The blue represents a sense of sentimentality and connection, its like eating a snow cone it’s a sensory experience. Now I sound crazy but this represents your relationship with Mark becoming a new normal where you have accepted that you will want to be with him for what may be the rest of your life. The blue is him wrapping you in a towel and holding you close as soon as you exit the salty ocean. So what I’m getting at is that the blue represents the memories that you associate with intense feelings, like you buying a scented candle because it reminds you of the date you had at the boardwalk.

On the whole your moodboard also indicates sensuality and passion. I normally like to keep it fairly pg in things that aren’t fics or nsfw/kink ships, but it has to be said your relationship has a side to it that is very sexual. Both you and Mark have built up a level of trust where you both see sex as a moment where you could both be very vulnerable with each other. Mark is a glutton for pleasure and would become addicted to the tingles that work their way up his body when you trace his arms lovingly. In the moments where you are making love (that’s what it is just a whole lot of intense love making) he will assert some sense of dominance but will be so considerate and will always be mindful of how you are feeling since all he really wants is for you to feel something that is similar to how he feels when he holds you in his arms. This isn’t to say that your relationship relies on sex but it’s a moment in your lives where you can truly experience an innocent sense of love, even if you are doing something so sexual.

Your relationship with Mark is a clear spring day walking by the beach, it’s cuddling on the couch after a long and exhausting day, it’s laughing because you feel so damn happy. It is love in its purest form, yeah that love would have been built on top of pain that the two of you have experienced it reminds you that you were probably meant to meet in this lifetime and the many more to come. You have completed each other and as far as you are concerned you will be spending your entire lives together.
