enchanted- tom blyth | ch. 4

after your amazing actors on actors with jenna, you didn't even have a day to spare before rachel's get-together tonight. you had been to her apartment a few times. the only people you knew were going to be there was rachel, obviously, josh, and tom. maybe hunter but you weren't sure. you decided to dress in a smart casual look. it wasn't anything fancy, but showing up in sweats was not going to work.

after about 10 hours of finding parking, you finally got to her door and knocked. you thought Rachel would answer the door, but it was actually josh.

"hey, come on in!" he said. you gave him a side hug and got inside the door.

"it's so good to see you, josh." you said as you made your way out of the entryway. you looked around. you had always loved this apartment. it was simple, but elegant. floor to ceiling windows around all the walls, providing a beautiful view of LA. white furniture, with pink flower accents and beautiful gold mirrors. it was pretty much your dream apartment. she had jazz music playing over the speakers as background noise. you heard voices coming from the kitchen, so you made your way over there.

when you finally arrived at the kitchen, you noticed rachel, tom, and a few people you didn't recognize. rachel was wearing slacks with a beautiful sleeveless top. her hair was done and she was wearing a dark eye look. gosh she looked great. tom was standing next to her. in fact, he was helping her cut some vegetables. rachel always cooked for you guys. tom was wearing black pants, a green button up shirt. what looked like half the buttons were unbuttoned, it was his thing. you're not sure you've ever seen him in a shirt that was fully buttoned. there was a leather jacket on the counter, which you assumed was his. you hadn't met the other people in the room, but their style seemed to be similar to yours. when rachel finally looked up, she walked over to give you a hug. you embraced her. when you released from the hug, you caught tom smiling. smiling at you. he looked down once you made eye contact, which made you smile. you were feeling bold, so you made the first move to give him a hug. you walked over and hugged him. you felt his arms wrap around your waist. you let your head sink into his shoulder.

"i'm so happy you made it, y/n! i have to introduce you to them!" rachel said, she gestured to a group of three standing near her. you glanced up at tom and he nodded back at you. you took rachel's hand and went over to meet them. "guys," they all looked at you, "this is y/n, one of my best friends, i worked with her on hunger games. she's the best. y/n this is dahlia, steven, and zola." she gestured to each one as she named them off. you shook steven's hand first.

"hey girl, i've heard about you. it's so nice to meet you." he had a very feminine way about him. he seemed to radiate warmth, as his smile was very welcoming.

"lovely to meet you." you responded. next you looked over at zola. she was gorgeous. beautiful afro, amazing makeup and eye look, and an amazing outfit. she was very chic. "it's nice to meet you, zola." she took your hand.

"ok not to sound weird, but i loved you in your movie last year. and it's so good to meet you." she was also very charismatic and cheery. you laughed at her comment about your movie and shook your head. finally dahlia got your attention. she seemed shy. more quiet than the others.

"hi, im dahlia it's good to meet you." she hesitantly extended her hand. you took it with confidence.

"good to meet you too. i can't wait to get to know you guys more." dahlia took her hand back after you shook it. they all nodded. you turned away and grabbed yourself a glass of champagne. you had a sip and took in your surroundings again. the whole aesthetic of the place made you feel so safe. you tried to tune out everyone and listen to the jazz music. you had always loved it. you hated that it was put on as background music. sometimes you would listen to straight jazz for hours while you got work done. the way all the instruments and artist work together like clockwork had always been fascinating to you.

you were interrupted by someone calling your name. you looked around and located the voice. it was easy based on the accent. tom. he was sitting on the couch with josh and one other guy. dahlia was sitting on the couch, but farther away from them, not engaging in conversation. tom signaled you over. feeling giddy again, you made your way over.

"you like the jazz music huh? i saw you staring into the oblivion, listening." he commented. you sat down next to josh, who was the one person separating you and tom.

"oh my god i probably looked so odd." you said. you tucked your hair behind your ear to the best of your ability, but quickly put it back because you weren't debby ryan. you looked down into your lap.

"no, no you didn't look odd. it was kind of..sweet, actually" he said. you instantly got butterflies in your stomach. you felt your face get red. it was bad. you attempted to giggle it off, but there was no hiding the reaction you had. you caught josh give tom a look, almost like a proud look. you weren't sure what it meant.

"i'm sorry, i.." you attempted to cover for yourself but nothing came to mind. all you saw was tom smile and drop his head.

"any new updates in your life?" he asked. you were so thankful he moved on from the conversation.

"well yesterday i filmed my actors on actors with jenna ortega. keep that on the down-low, though."

"that's really cool. how was that?" again, he seemed genuinely interested in what you had to say. not a common occurrence. you saw the man next to him glance over at you. he tried to get josh's attention, and mouthed something to him you could not make out.

"it was really cool. really interesting. it was great to meet someone who had a similar career to me. thank you for asking, by the way."

"it's the right thing to do-" he was cut off by his friend.

"dude, are you not going to introduce me?" he said. he glanced over at him, his smile slightly faltered.

"oh. yeah. right. y/n this is brady. he's my friend and rachel has met him before, so that's why he's here. he works in the industry, but more behind the scenes." brady offered you his hand and you shook it.

"yeah, i've been talking to him, he's pretty nice." josh commented. you felt bad talking across him this whole time. he seemed to get that memo. "speaking of talking, i have to go tell rachel something. brady, come with me." you saw him gave a slight nod to tom as he stood up.

"bro what? i don't want t-"

"come with me brady." josh said, more assertively. brady shrugged and got up. without warning, tom got up and moved much closer to you. you weren't sure what to do. your stomach was all in knots. you laughed, slightly awkwardly. it was all you could think of.

"well that was strange. anyways, tell me more about this actors on actors." with him this much closer, you couldn't even remember you name, much less the details of your actors on actors.

"well, we had this really cool talk about how london is both of our favorite cities and if we didn't live in la, we would for sure live in london. and we also talked about social media and stuff."

"i love london. i mean i obviously moved to brooklyn and now la, but i really do love it. i had no idea you loved it so much." he said. you played with the bracelet on your wrist.

"yeah i do. i really want to visit again soon." you felt like a genius. a lightbulb went off in your head. "we should go together sometime." boom. genius.

"yeah, yeah we should go. that would be really fun, y/n." for some reason, him saying your name made the conversation even better. people who take the time to address you by name, truly care about you. at least, that's what your mom taught you. a very excited rachel approached you, with a tray in front of her. there seemed to be little mini appetizers on it.

"hey guys. you have to try these. it's a new recipe and they are delicious! please try one. tom?" she offered it to him first, which he gladly took it. then you took one. there was some sort of creme on top, but a savory bottom. rachel walked away and you tried it. she was absolutely right. it was totally delicious.

"wow, that's amazing, rachel!" tom spoke, a little loud, making sure he heard her. you nodded. she looked over at you and him and blew a kiss. he laughed. "aren't they good? oh. ok y/n i don't think you understand how much creme is on your face right now." you laughed. you were never the cleanest eater. you tried to get it, but according to tom, kept missing. "you know what? let me just-" he reached over and glided his finger across your nose, and slightly above your lip. his touch sent a shock through you. "got it." you played it off cool.

"thank you, tom." you hadn't realized how close the two of you had gotten over the course of the conversation. your knees were pretty much touching. you saw tom place his hand down at his side again. "what would i do without you?" you joked. he smiled briefly.

"i don't think you have to worry about that." he said. now the butterflies in your stomach were flying around even more rapidly. thankfully, josh sat back down, on your side now, meaning you and tom were still close. you looked over at him and began conversation.

after dinner, everything was wrapping up. you went to go say goodbye to rachel, who was talking to zola.

"thank you so much for everything tonight. it was great. you're an amazing chef, but i have to go" you said. you caught her attention and she pivoted. she gave you a big hug.

"thank you for coming, girl. i'll see you soon, ok?" you nodded. zola reacher her hand out again and bid you goodbye. you made your way around to everyone.

after saying goodbye to josh, you approached tom.

"hey tom i'm going to go, but i'll see you soon?" he glanced at you.

"oh! let me walk you to your car." he offered.

"oh no that's ok i'm right outside. besides, i can take care of myself. I took self-defense my ninth grade year, you know that?" he laughed.

"no but seriously, let me walk you. it's dangerous at night and it's almost 11." he placed his hand on your back and led you towards the door. you let him. there was no point in fighting, he seemed pretty adamant of this. when you got to your car, he ran around the car and tried to open your door. the door was locked. you watched as he confidently pulled on the door, just for nothing to happen. you couldn't help but burst into laughter.

"oh my gos-"

"not a word. at least i tried." he said, defeated. you snickered again as you unlocked the door. you gestured for him to try again. and, with less confidence now, he successfully opened the door. you stepped in.

"drive home safe, ok?" you nodded. "oh and y/n? how about coffee tomorrow, you know, just to catch up some more, talk about work?" you had never been this excited in your life.

"yes. of course. menotti's?"

"menotti's."

"alright, see you there at 10?" he nodded. "alright. goodnight."

"goodnight. y/n."

My Mario movie trailer (2) takeaway that no one asked for but I'm sharing anyway~

-LUIGILUIGILUIGILUIGI

-oh my gosh jack black and charlie day are just *little happy fanboy smile.. Great job guys (silent fan squeel)

-ALSO AS EVERYONE KNEW CHARLIE DAYS VOICE JUST WORKS FOR LUIGI IT JUST FITS SO WELL SOMEHOW I LOVE HIM

-im convinced that Chriss Pratt isng getting paid- he's paying them

-it could be worse I guess but I quite frankly don't understand the people that are still saying “lets give him a chance”

-i guess I could hear that he was trying a Brooklyn accent? But like my guy the vibes need to be exaggerated and cartoony and energetic

-honestly tho won't ruin the experience because (I may or may not be planning something) and its kinda absolutely fucking hilarious

-felt some Mario slander going on lowkey, one one hand “stop, please, my boy, let my boy be” but Chris pratts noises of distress as a terrible attempt at voice acting is somewhat therapeutic

-LUIGI LUIGI LUIGI

-i am definitely less partial to the origin story kind of plot because I feel I just prefer it when the Mario bros background is ambiguous and contradicts itself

-THE FUCKING COLORS THIOOO THE FUCKING COLORS ARE GODDAMN GORGEOUS

-on the same note PEACH PRETTY SHE PREBBY PRETTY HAIR PRETTYYYY

-i would prefer a higher pitched voice and made her more like, cheerful but calm and polite rather than like, sassy, but like, its not bad at all, and I can appreciate it

-from the snippet we got, I do think the brothers interactions will be good and feel in character and genuine

-while toad’s voice specefically from the super show is drilled into my head, I actually do really like the new one its nice and happy and cheerful

3.) What's your favourite kind of weather?

I like it cold and stormy. I want to be cuddled in my sweats, sitting by a fire, with it pouring down rain outside. But I also want it to be cold and rainy all the time -- running errands in my goretex boots and jacket, unafraid to jump into any puddles I see (during my errands) because I'll still be nice and dry. I severely miss playing football in the rain, slipping and sliding, mud getting everywhere. (though i'm old now, so I know if I were to play football in the rain these days i'd be in soooo much pain the next week lol)

5.) What fictional world you'd choose to live in?

The one in my head. LOL I wish I knew of more fictional worlds. I'd love to be a Flynn from TRON and go into the Grid and play games. Gosh, that'd be cool. I'd love to be a Science Officer on a ship in Star Trek verse. (which is technically our universe, but in the future??) Oooh or on the Normandy! in Mass Effect. But, honestly, the verse inside my head I'm still trying to figure out how to write... nature and magic and hidden societies doing good.

14.) Songs that remind you of Autumn?

California Dreamin' - The Mama's & The Papa's, even if it's a song about a winter's day. I'm Californian, we don't have autumn. LOL

Sweater Weather - Kina Grannis, again with the cool weather song based in California, what is it w/ me?!

16.) Describe your dream house / room?

A modern lodge sort of situation. Gorgeous wood everywhere, big glass windows everywhere. There's got to be a fireplace to cuddle near for reading. (And a fire pit outside, to sit and appreciate nature and your company by.) Bookcases, lots and lots of bookcases and also storage. A handful of bedrooms so people can come stay, and one for my office / gym. (Because work stresses me tf out so if I could just stand up and punch a bag or lift some weights to get that out, it'd be great.) Multiple bathrooms, with the Primary Bath having a HUGE fucking tub for me to soak in, and a shower w/ excellent pressure. Medium kitchen, big refrigerator w/ a big freezer. lots of countertop space (ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING MARBLE. NO FUCKING FARM SINKS EITHER (that's for my long time followers :*)) good sized stove that'll allow me to grill on it. There's a Game / Movie room, for ... games and movies. LOL The house is surrounded by Big Trees, and it's overlooking water (lake or ocean, heck even a river at this point). There's a garden in the back, a basketball hoop in the front. Either a shed or a garage for me to do art projects / handycrafts / build things out of wood.

my "future" tag is generally the vibes i'd love to have for future home aesthetics.

For design I’m stuck between scream ( I like that’s he’s cape floats if that makes sense XD ) or the oni🤔( he got a cool design lol ) but I’m scared of scream and michael myers since their both fast and you can’t hear them! 😱🌺anon ( also hope your doing ok dearie and drinking plenty of water UWU )

OH 🌺 Anon, this is a phenomenal ask! DBD is one of my favorite horror games and has been for a few years now! Personally, I prefer to play Killer. I love the power 😈 Plus, most of my favorite characters are in that bracket.

The ones you like are all amazing, you truly have immaculate taste~! Ghostie is an INCREDIBLE Killer (I mean, he’s an OG for a reason). Super scary when you’re the survivor and you’ve gotta survive against a good Ghostface. I totally get you about the cape! He’s got an amazing character design. Great aesthetics 🖤🔪🩸 I’ve been scared shitless more than a few times by Myers’ stealthiness. He’s genuinely terrifying at times, but it’s so cute when you’ve got a chill Micheal and they do funny shenanigans with you & your team around the map.

~*• For Killers •*~

Gosh, I am so in love with Pyramid Head, Nemesis, and the Oni. They are just such powerhouses on the field and those are my fav characters to play & see get played by others! It’s no secret that I’ve had a MASSIVE crush on P-Head for more than a few years now 😳 He’s just…the perfect man (monster?). Strong, stubborn, absolutely shredded, doesn’t talk back, could slice me in half…🥴 yeah, he’s the best. Same goes for Nemesis, HE IS A TOTAL BADASS! I am so glad they chose him from RE [Resident Evil] over any of the other threats. He’s a phenomenal killer. AND THE ONI! I love how menacing he is! My favorite hunk 💖 Honorable mentions are Demogorgon & Trickster!

I also love Huntress & the Hag! The Huntress is 100% mommy; best milkers on the field (second to P-Head). IDK what it is about the Hag, but her backstory is super interesting to me. She is one of the only Killers that is genuinely scary to me & I love it. Her muck just makes her all the creepier (and, ya know, the fact that she’s a gremlin cannibal LOL). Also SADOKA OMG 😱 She is hella scary. Like, I came close to pissing myself when I first saw her in action! I’ve loved the Ring for awhile, so it is AMAZING to see one of your fav horror antagonists as a playable character in a video game. Honorable mentions are Spirit, Nurse, Pig, & Plague!

If I was given the chance to ask the DBD team to add one killer & one survivor to the game, I would get on my hands and knees to plead Ripley & the Xenomorph are included. Alien is my favorite franchise of all time (I wrote for many months & got an A for a History research essay about feminism in the Alien movies. It is my fav series LOL) and I CANNOT THINK OF ANYTHING SCARIER THAN THAT XENOMORPH. It is my favorite Killer of any series in the whole world, IT WOULD BE THE BEST KILLER. PLUS RIPLEY? THE SMARTEST AND BEST PROTECTOR?? A.K.A MISS GORGEOUS & TALENTED SIGOURNEY WEAVER HERSELF??? The most badass woman in all of film history?! Yeah, she’d be a kickass survivor. No debate needed. And they could add a spaceship-like map & make it all spookie! How fun would that be?

~*• For Survivors •*~

Ummm there aren’t really too many that catch my eye like the hunters do. However! Some of my favs to play are Jane, Cheryl, Jill, & Feng! CAUSE THE WOMEN OF THAT GAME ARE LEAGUES BETTER THAN THE MEN! I said what I said because it is true, I am not wrong 😚💖

I know right, I re read my ask before sending and it immediately sounded condescending to me😭😭 idk why I sound bitchy on the internet probably because English is not my first language and I’m still easing into it haha

I haven’t seen any franchise movies or movie series but I definitely love the John wick movies

Personally I love indie movies and movies that are a experience on their own as opposed to a connection of previous ones. I really loved Sebastian stan’s movie Monday. As a Romanian myself I was very proud of the naked scene especially lol but kinda disappointed Americans arent aware of basic male anatomy but anyhow the movie is an art piece, kinda chaotic but I liked it. and Sebastian is such a beautiful human inside out and I really loved.

And pearl of mia both, oh gosh that movie was such an experience, loved the acting and aesthetic and I personally love Mia she’s so petty.

Idk of sharper is an indie movie but I loved that movie as well Sebastian was as always gorgeous and julianne Moore is gorgeous as well, the movie overall gave me bi panic lololol I have been a fan of JM since that movie “Chloe” she’s so hot in it. Also loved the sharper promo lol love Sebastian and juliane so it was a treat, they’re both such talented and great beautiful people.

My most favourite indie movie is the brown bunny!!! It’s so heartbreaking yet beautiful, a lot of nudity but that’s fine but especially loved Chloe savings in it.

Also I have a question,

I’m reading your aftermath fic on AO3 and I have a bit confusion

As I said English is not my first language so while reading in English some of it doesn’t really get to me like I don’t understand it well.

So when wraith Bucky ghost we’re fighting and ghost went to return the pic of (F/N) why did he refer to her as a man?

Ghost is the reader right? Or ghost is another person who’s a man? Why did he think ghost was a man?

ooohhh interesting. I have a hard time getting into indie films for some reason, but I might have to give them a try.

And Sharper is def on my watch list. I just gotta find some time.

As for your question:

The suit is made so that people can't tell that Ghost [the reader] is a woman. It's built to conceal her form so, think of it like the Taskmaster suit from Black Widow

Bucky just went on ahead and assumed that she was a man based on what her suit looks like, but he doesn't know who's under the mask

All right, it’s been 12 hours, so time for watch number two! MY BIG REVIEW IS FINALLY DONE!

I love that they just hit the ground running and immediately start right where we need to be. There’s no time to waste!

Even the cinematography of that water droplet, they aren’t messing around! (Watching it again, I wonder, “Is that bug a shapeshifted Loki?!” That’s what Marvel has done to me lol.

So, we can all agree this is 100% Kid Loki, right?? The way Mobius taps the kid in the chest makes it sound unnatural, like a robot or something. Did anyone else notice that?

Oh, Loki. Always the opportunist. Of course he would try to get the upper hand and enlist him self as a leader in their system. Similar to him and Thanos, “If you’re going to earth, you’ll need a guide.”

This scene’s soundtrack is just breathtaking. Everything about it is absolutely magical. Again, this show does not hold back.

“I would have made it easy for them.” Loki really does believe he would be a great leader. Not necessarily a fair leader, but in his mind, a visionary.

ONCE THEY START PLAYING CLIPS, I GOT CHILLS. THIS IS ONLY GOING TO BE INTENSE.

“Do you enjoy hurting people?” WOW, MOBIOUS! Look at his little nervous fidgeting. Who hasn’t done this in an uncomfortable situation. Such a great little detail.

D.B. Cooper! I wish we would have gotten more stories like this, even little clips of other pranks he did in the past.

The shift once Loki stands up to make a point. At first he is playing along but then he starts having enough. He is starting to shake in his boots and begin to lash out with insults and jabs at TVA.

OMG THE DARK WORLD. I am so glad they have focused so much on this movie because it really is THE Loki movie. I would dare to say that Loki has more of a story in it than Thor, 100%. It begins with Loki, he suffers from his mother, has the best scenes throughout the film, and then sacrifices himself only to come back in the end. It is the Loki movie. People have their opinions on whether they deem it a good film but I LOVE it. Again, SO glad it gets the analysis it deserves.

That whole aftermath of that scene with Loki losing it and essentially having a life crisis only to then be told essentially he is merely a pawn to help others achieve greatness while he is meant to kill and destroy… OUCH. I mean, BRUTAL. That might be my favorite scene out of the episode though for the way it builds and builds until Loki has to accept help (Mobious offering him a hand up.) Accepting help is not easy. That’s already growth right there.

DAMN. That’s all that can be said after that scene.

Loki in control of the time manipulator! I have been so excited for this moment ever since I saw it in a promo. This is pure Loki. God of mischief. You mess with me, I’ll mess with you right back and then some! Plus, what better way to let out your anger after this shit show of a day than have some fun.

When Loki sits down with the Tessaract and puts his head in his hands, it looks like he’s about to lose it and bawl. You see his chest move rapidly like he’s about to let out the waterworks but then immediately stops when his vulnerability is about to be shown, when Mobious steps in.

What a scene. What a character analysis. What a masterclass in the God of Mischief. Pain, Vulnerability, Anger, Fear, all rolled into one. And we love him through it all.

(WE ALL KNOW THIS IS LADY LOKI IN OKLAHOMA, RIGHT?!)

And then ending with the gorgeous credits with the epic soundtrack and beautiful scenes that are art in of itself.

Loki, you done good. You done real good.

When you trotted into class silently that day as a new student that just moved to Japan from [Your City] Kenma just scribbled in his notebook like he always does when the teacher is talking because he didn’t hear you come in

The teacher asked you to introduce yourself and you did, shyly and in less than accurate Japanese

This got catboy’s attention

When Kenma heard your angelic voice he lifted his head up from the paper for the first time that day

Baby boy is smart af. He doesn’t even need to listen in class and he gets straight A’s

His eyes widened when he saw you. You clearly weren’t from here and he didn’t know how he felt about that

He takes a mental note that you looked.....different.

VERY good different. He realized, as he studied your features

Kenma thought you were beautiful and although your introduction had grammatical errors, he found your mistakes quite adorable

Since Kenma is a gifted student he is always abnormally bored in classes. His teachers always took away all of his electronics so he didn’t even try anymore. This current Modern Japanese class was no exception until you joined, and as the days went by he found himself not even missing his electronics for the first time in his life because he shared that class with you

You were so pretty and interesting to him.

He wished he could talk to you

Hiding behind his hair so that he wouldn’t get caught with red cheeks and all, he sighed admiringly as he watched you listen diligently to the teacher. The way you looked when you were concentrated made Kenma’s stomach hurt because you were just so cute. Watching you made him wish he had Kuroo’s confidence when it came to girls

Maybe he would ask Kuroo for advice, albeit a mortifying thought

Day after day in class Kenma watched as you read the teacher’s lips in hopes of slowing down the language in your head better. When everyone got a worksheet in class Kenma always did his work fast and just smirked to himself because you would quietly sound out everything you were reading and translate it to English.

So cute

Kenma knew his fair share of English because of his American gamer friends, so when he heard you translate a Japanese word incorrectly, which would have been detrimental for your grade on this paper, Kenma wanted so badly to jump in to help you

But he was anxious

In silent panic, he watched you whisper the wrong answers out loud because you had translated one early sentence incorrectly .

Oh no.

You were going to fail!

What would Kuroo do??? Kenma thought.

In his animated mind, he conjured up an air bubble version of Kuroo looking down at him and lecturing him, telling Kenma that: “you are like blood that should flow towards the blood that has the most attractive body covering it which is obviously a reference to the cute foreign girl you have a crush on so STOP BEING SUCH A WUSS AND HELP HER, KENMA!”

Kenma shook his head violently. The air bubble version of Kuroo disappeared.

God, even in his made up thoughts his best friend was obnoxious

Kenma’s volleyball team, Fukurõdani’s volleyball team and Hinata all knew Kenma’s true personality.

They knew that Kenma wasn’t a shy person like most people initially think when they see him alone in the corner. In fact, he wasn’t shy at all. He just didn’t like people. Learn the difference.

And when Kenma did like specific people he still wanted them to stay at an arms length

So why did he like you so much? He was convinced that he wouldn’t mind having you closer than an arms length because of how pretty you are. Kenma liked looking at aesthetically pleasing things, and in that respect you were much much better than his games or his volleyball friends.

But jumping in to save your assignment still wasn’t him. It just wasn’t Kenma. He didn’t chat to others in class and enjoy it like everyone else in this school. He liked chatting with Kuroo, Shōyō, and his gaming pals, sure. But everyone else was slightly annoying.

But not you.

He wasn’t annoyed by you despite the fact that he’s been watching your embarassing quirks for over a week now. He felt quite the opposite for you, actually...

Completely unaware of Kenma’s daily analysis of you like you always were, you smiled as you finished your work. Ready to leave, you collected your paper, preparing to hand in the open-book assignment worth 40% of your grade. But before you stood up you felt a delicate hand on your arm, halting you.

“Uhhhh.......” You look up to see the most gorgeous boy you’ve ever seen in all the countries you’ve been in. He had striking cat-like eyes that made your heart beat faster and his voice was soft and alluring.

With a serious face, he removed his hand from your arm and pointed to your sheet. In perfect English he said, “That means “theatre audition” actually. Not “movie theatre.”

You were shocked that his English sounded better than your Japanese

Kenma felt a burst of pride within because he could infer that he impressed you with his English

You blushed and quickly started erasing the subsequent answers. “Oh my gosh, thank you so much.”

You expected the gorgeous boy to walk away after that but you were even more taken back when he pulled up a chair next to you.

His sudden movement blew breeze in your direction which wafted the mango-scent of his shampoo toward you. You almost salivated. His hair was so shiny, he was so beautiful and to top it off he smelled to-die-for.

“You made minor translation errors in question 1, 4 and 5 too. Mind if I help you? My name’s Kenma.” He asked hopefully, still speaking to you in impeccable English.

You introduced yourself too while blushing some more and of course you accepted his help

Throughout the rest of class, Kenma, talkative as ever—asked you a bunch of questions in order to get to know you. You shared with him that your parents were divorced and that you decided to move from [Your City] where you lived all your life with your mom to move in with your dad in Japan for high school and University because you loved/missed him. You told him that your dad spoke Japanese to you as a baby but you lost a lot of it living so far away and having no one to practice with.

Kenma became more and more intrigued by you. He could listen to you talk all day which would probably give his best friend a heart attack since Kuroo was put on a strict talking time limit that kicked in after 3 hours.

The more the cat boy learned about you the more he wanted to learn. Especially when you mentioned that your favourite hobby included gaming.

Kenma, being fairly asexual but attracted to you, was unfamiliar with the way the concept of you gaming turned him alllll the way on.

He imagined you beside him during his gaming weekends wearing a baggy t-shirt & just your underwear underneath like he wears.

Damn

He flushed

Let’s just say Kenma had trouble shifting inconspicuously under the desk to adjust his tightened pants when he thought about you gaming.

He mentally prepared to get himself off on the thought as soon as he got home tonight

Yep. You officially had him wrapped around your finger, and you didn’t even know it.

You had no idea that that conversation would go on forever

You had no idea that Kenma had always denied tutoring others when the Modern Japanese teacher asked, and that is why the teacher gladly allowed you two to work together

You had no idea that the rest of the class was ASTONISHED by the quiet and stunning setter of Nekoma (who does everything in his power to not be approachable and avoid social situations) going out of his way to keep a conversation going with another student

You had no idea that all the Kenma admirers were soooooo jealous of you right now

You had no idea that Kenma would glare back at the girls who glared at you and try his best to become your friend in the coming weeks

You had no idea that you both would enjoy every moment of your close friendship. A bit too much

You had no idea that, weeks later, Kuroo would force Kenma into confessing to you, even if it was over your favourite game as avatars... and you would cry tears of joy

folks, today was so so tiring that I decided to reward myself with doing something I LOVe but which I haven't had time for since maybe October last year. that is.........

watching jidaigeki movies!!!!!!

BOY I can't begin to tell how batshit cRaZy I go over these movies....... there's something about them that just has me hissing yesSs yESSSS!!!!!! even before i click play.

maybe it's the aesthetics, maybe it's the language, maybe it's the themes, mAYBES IT'S ALL OF IT, and also how theatrically they portray even the simplest things, such as walking or speaking... Idk

anyway, i finally got to see harakiri, which I'd been putting off for a while now, but gosh dang it was it worth the wait

some things I find worth mentioning are, for starters, the disembowelment scene using a bamboo blade. that was one of the goriest things I've ever seen and I literally recoiled and winced when blood first gushed out of chijiiwa's wound.

that shit was cinematically GORGEOUS, and the build up to it, how they used duty to trap the guy, and the tension that that created, it was just... That's gonna live on my mind rent-free forever now.

second, I believe the way they explored the different nuances of duty was VERY interesting, especially by showing that there can be layers and layers to it, and that even a code that abides strictly by duty can be/become corrupted.

the fact that the samurai of the iyi house cornered chijiiwa using this very code and essentially forced the guy to kill himself, when like, the entire ritual is supposed to be something done to protect one's dignity, becomes very emblematic because of how he has to do it --- using a bamboo blade.

They KNEW that whatever merit the act might garner in terms of preserving said dignity would be essentially nullified then. In the end, chijiiwa's death served him no good at all, but rather turned him into a practical joke

and THAT is peak humiliation cuz like, the very people that went around sniggering about it being SOOO honourable-cough-joke are the same that abused the code in order to satisfy a... Idk, a cruel streak? an urge to display power?

finally, these same guys were shown to be cowards (shocker), because THEY couldn't put their life on the line once their honour had been tainted, or rather proven to be mere vanity, wHEN TWO SECONDS AGO THEY WERE MOCKING AND TORTURING A DUDE FOR PLEADING FOR HIS LIFE.

One of these dudes is proven to be a farce, in fact, via thE BEST FUCKING FIGHT SCENE MY GAY LITTLE EYES HAVE EVER FUCKING SEEN!!!

that scene was the cinematic equivalent of listening to a very old, very intricate language whose sounds are familiar and evocative, but whose meaning is completely alien to me beyond the fact that katanas are fUCKING TIGHT

mind, I'm no japanese expert, so these are just things I sorta picked up, which may or may not have been there at all, but I had a grand ole time anyway haha

Looks: I’m around 5'4, 120lbs, hourglass figure (large chest, tiny waist, wide hips). I have long brown hair that’s often dyed MANY different colors, with side bangs that swoop to the right (if you were looking at me). I’m very petite, at one point i was able to wrap my whole hand around my ankle. I often wear makeup that pops out (lots of vibrant colors), unique earrings, platform shoes, hoodies, and torn jeans! I also have natural stretch marks bc of how im built, along with a lil stomach.

Personality: I’m not very social, so when you meet me im very quiet, very closed-off. Once you get to know me a bit, I’m very crazy, kind, and playful! But once you REALLY get to know me, I’m snarky, crazy, blunt, and often call people names like “idiot” or “bitch” AS A JOKE, so it can often come off as wrong if you don’t know me.

Issues I Have: I often get too scared to be open, and when i tear up/cry I’ll hide my face, since I was told i was “too emotional” and to “not shed a tear” when i was younger. I get anxious of what people will think if I’m honest, so I’ll do what I’m told, even if i dont want to just so people dont get mad at me. I have moments where I feel alone, like people forget about me, just like everybody else. I hate failing, and i handle my emotions on my own, even when i know i shouldnt.

Things I Like: Plushies, alternative music/clothes/etc., anime (duh), makeup, art, classic disney movies, animals.

Hey Mrs. Z! 😊 I adore 70s fashion - whether real or inspired - and I was wondering how do you go about putting your own 70s aesthetic type style together? Bc I am always in awe of your style it's gorgeous 💖

Hello! Oh gosh thank you, I love talking about stuff like this lol.

(These tips/process can be applied to literally any 20th century era of fashion!! Obviously the 70s are my favorite, so I’ll be answering this in that regard, but still you can do this for pretty much anything post 1915-20)

The biggest thing for me, is trying to find contemporary pieces that I can style to look more period-accurate. And the first step to that is by looking through tons of reference.

Watching films from the 70s (not set in the 70s, but actually filmed and released in the 70s (documentaries and on-the-street documentaries especially are crucial for this!!)) and noticing the silhouettes/colors/fabric choices, is probably the most fun way to get inspiration. Not only do you get to be entertained, but you can see what the trends actually were of the time, as opposed to what costumers think the trends were like.

Similarly to movies, looking at street photography of the time is incredibly interesting. These aren’t actors dressed up for a role, they’re real people just running errands and going about their lives. There are thousands of street photography albums particularly for the 1960s & 70s when pop culture was at its height lol.

But I also love flipping through old catalogues and magazines and ads for clothing from the time. Seeing what they were actually selling back then, seeing what the designers and labels and brands were releasing back then, is such an invaluable means of inspiration.

So between watching a bunch of movies and scrolling through pages and pages of scanned 70s ads, you start to pick up on the various key players for what sort of pieces you’ll need to mimic that look. You begin to notice different groups and trends of fashion. For example with the 1970s, you’ve got the flower power hippies, the activists (whether that’s climate change or civil liberties or feminism or gay rights or anti-war, they all have their own distinct Style), the corporate world where women are beginning to flourish in the workforce, the reactionary punk world, the groupie world, the 70s-does-edwardian movement, the 70s-does-40s movement -- there’s so many different groups that you begin to see.

From that, you can pick out different silhouettes. The style of jeans, the style of tops, dresses and skirts, what colors do each of these groups gravitate towards, how do they wear their hair what accessories do they frequently use, what style shoes do you see?

Once you sort of know what you’re drawn to, which styles you like best and which resonate best with you, then it’s just a matter of finding contemporary equivalents. Going to second-hand shops and finding flared jeans, or buying earth toned turtlenecks, large pointed collared button up shirts, wearing platform boots and colorful tights with skirts, these are all things that are accessible to us. Look up hair tutorials and makeup tutorials and don’t overthink it, just have fun and embody the spirit and you’ll look amazing!

Finding true vintage clothing in my size is pretty much impossible, so what I tend to do is shop for clothing that fits that bill for the silhouette, and then accessorize with true vintage pieces. Sunglasses, scarves and jewelry, purses, shoes -- all of these things paired with hair and makeup can make any modern outfit look vintage or vintage inspired!

At the end of the day, we live in an era where people are more free to express themselves through clothing than ever before. Don’t be afraid to mix and match styles, blend different eras together, or do something ‘inaccurate’ for your own personal life. It’s your clothes, you should have fun wearing them! :)

The King: Eternal Monarch

Here are my thoughts on it:

1. Lee Min Ho looks good in it. I can't remember the last time I watched his work. I'm thinking The Heirs? But there was a point I got tired of seeing him onscreen that I actively avoided his dramas. But I saw his posters for this and WOW. Homeboy looked gorgeous. I am still trying to gauge his character. The only thing I liked about him was all the Math-related dialogues and jokes (because I'm a nerd like that).

2. On the contrary, I love Jeong Tae Eul's character. She is a "no non-sense" aggressive and crass tiny brute and I love it. The first time I've seen her was in Memories of Sword and I was sold to her acting. And no I haven't seen Goblin or Cheese in the Trap. I hope she doesn't deteriorate into a mushy, lovestruck heroine who needs constant affection and saving. I also hope she is NOT really a flat-earther.

3. THE AESTHETICS. I've said it before and I'll say it again. This drama, if anything, is one visual feast. There were a lot of moments I was just in awe of the cinematography. And the colors. Oh my gosh THE COLORS. I have decided to collect all of these shots the first chance I get.

4. The plot. Hmm, actually, I've watched a lot of stuff with alternate/parallel universe timelines and/or plot so the premise isn't new to me. It's Einstein's fault tbh. He loved theorizing hence this piece of science fiction subgenre. I have liked many tv shows/movies with this plot but I am still on the fence with this one.

5. I'm pretty sure Lee Gon will save his younger self. How he was able to do that is part of the mystery (I'm betting on time travel once Lee Gon actually learns more about the Manpasikjeok and harnesses its power). But anyone who still thinks Tae Eul will save him clearly needs to watch more TV. And the body build of that person is definitely not Kim Go Eun. As for the ID, I believe he brought it intentionally because he knew child Gon had to look for Tae Eul in the future.

oh my gosh, i love this! and thank you so much ♡ i had to repost bc my tags didn’t work the first time, sorry!

When Tom first brought up meeting his family, you were taking a walk in the park with Tessa

You were like afgjndf okay??

Because you were freaking out, who wouldn’t be?

You loved Tom, and meeting the family was a big deal because Tom was super close to them

Somehow you managed to go “yeah that’d be nice” and then afterward proceeded to go into panic mode

Tom found it cute, that you were so nervous because it meant that you really wanted them to like you

You kept asking him about everyone so you could make conversation and not sound like an idiot

“So Harry likes photography? Okay, I need to research famous photographers and camera types.”

“Sam likes cooking right? Lol then how come you suck at it, Tommy?”

*Tom stares off into the distance like he’s on the Office*

“Does Paddy like legos or is he too old for that? I bet he likes Star Wars though”

You took notes on everything Tom told you, and then did your own research because Tom was pretty useless

“Love, even I don’t know this much about my family, how did you find this stuff out?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know, weather boy?”

Tom couldn’t stop laughing when you made him take you golfing so you wouldn’t look bad in front of Dom (you know, just in case), and you kept missing the ball completely

But he took you for ice cream after so it was all good

Then D-day came and you were running around like a headless chicken, trying to appear calm and composed

Tom had been ready ages ago, and now he was just watching you race around with a stupid smirk on his face

“Oh my god, I can’t wear this! What was I thinking?”

Your shared bedroom was a mess, clothes everywhere and jewelry strewn on the bed

Tom made a joke about an atomic bomb so you threw him out, you didn’t need that type of negativity right now

“But I live here too!”

“Try me, and you won’t for much longer bug boy”

Eventually you picked something that you felt good about and did your makeup

When you heard a little bark, you realized Tessa had been buried under a pile of clothes and had chewed up one of your dresses

But you just couldn’t stay mad at her so you ended up smothering her in kisses instead

“Can we go now?” Tom whined because he’s a literal five year old you and can’t argue this point with me

You finally emerged in a blush pink floral tea dress and the least annoying pair of heels you owned, giving him a tiny spin

“Does this look like I didn’t try too hard but also that I tried really hard?”

“What does that even mean?”

“Like I put thought into it but I’m also super chill, because that’s the vibe I’m going for here”

“You look hot, maybe I can cancel and we can just stay here and…you know…”

At this point you throw your clutch at him and he peppers your face with kisses because you guys are adorable™

So now you’re driving to Tom’s house, your heart beating so loudly you can hear it

Tom is playing some CD he bought while the two of you went record shopping and he keeps one hand on your thigh protectively

What, you looked really gorgeous? He could never keep his hands off you.

He kept telling you that you looked beautiful and had nothing to worry about, but did he expect you to believe him?

Meeting your boyfriend’s family is nerve-wracking, according to like every romcom ever

The drive was way too short in your opinion, and you literally refused to get out of the car for a few minutes

“Darling, you have to actually get out to meet them. I don’t think they’ll fit in here.”

“Tom, I can’t do this. They’re going to hate me and break us up like in Monster-In-Law!”

????????? Tom.exe has stopped working

“Okay, if you’re talking about the movie with JLo, don’t they end up together? And would you stop worrying, they’re going to love you. I talk about you all the time, I promise it’ll be fine”

Tom basically drags you out of the car, you clutching the bottle of wine and flowers you bought and trying not to trip

When he rings the doorbell, he holds your hand to calm you down

And also to stop you from running because let’s be honest, you were considering it

“Have I told you recently that you’re too pretty for me and I’m so lucky?”

“I mean…..maybe…..”

The door opens and your heart almost stops because the entire Holland family is standing in the doorway and smiling at you

You now realize where Tom gets his looks from because the entire family is GORGEOUS???

“Um, can we come inside first before you ambush her?”

Nikki gives you a hug immediately, thanking you for the flowers which just so happened to be her favorite

Heh, what a coincidence you totally did not pester Tom about it

Dom loves the wine, and is impressed when you tell him where it comes from

Tom is trying not to laugh because he’s the actually the one that bought the wine, but he won’t tell them that because you’re finally at ease

The twins love you already, because they can tell you make Tom really happy and you’re so sweet

Like you actually try talking about photography with Harry, who can tell you know nothing about it but he’s touched

And when you tell Sam that you wished you could cook, he actually offered to teach you just to spend more time with you

Paddy has officially made a new friend and big sister, and he begs Tom to bring you over more often so you can watch movies together because in his words

“She’s way cooler than you”

“Gee, thanks.”

Nikki thinks you’re wonderful, she’s very happy Tom found you and she can’t stop smiling at the two of you. She’s seen her fair share of girls and you’re already her favorite, especially when you offered to help her set the table and clean up after

Dom got to talk to you when Tom went outside with the boys to kick a soccer ball around, and he was really surprised to find you so intelligent too. You could hold your own and you had a strong mind and he appreciated that

He listened to you talk about world events and college and Nikki came to listen too and she loves that you know so much

“Dom, she’s so smart!”

When the boys come back in they try to understand what you’re talking about but it’s a big ?????

Tom is both low-key jealous and also really happy that his family has basically adopted you and likes you more than him

“Hey, it’s your eldest son remember me?”

“Tom, Y/N was just telling us about her classes! Did you know she’s majoring in Chemical Engineering?”

“Well, yeah I’m her boyfriend.”

Sam and Harry basically talk your ear off during Lunch, until Nikki tells them to knock it off because Tom is being pouty

“Mates, she’s my girlfriend and I wanna sit next to her.”

“You snooze you lose Tom”

He was an upset boi until you kissed him and told him that you would sit next to him after Lunch

Paddy tells you about his school and wants to know how you decided what you wanted to do but you tell him that he’s got plenty of time to figure that out and he should enjoy school in the meantime

After Lunch everyone sits outside in the garden and drinks while the sun sets because the aesthetic, ya feel?

“You better marry her, Tom.” Nikki whispers when you go play with Paddy

“Don’t worry, I’ve already got the ring”

Eventually it’s time for you and Tom to leave and everyone is sad about it because they love you

“Don’t forget to call us and you’re welcome any time.” Nikki sends a ton of food with you and Dom apologizes because you’re actually about to fall over and the boys can’t stop laughing

“Bye, everyone!” You finally finished hugging everyone and promising you’ll be back when Tom literally picks you up and takes you back to the car

“Hey, I wasn’t done saying goodbye!”

“You can call them later, we’d literally be 85 by the time you finish”

The entire car ride back you can’t stop gushing about Tom’s family and how great they are and Tom just can’t stop smiling

Because he’s so happy you like them and that they like you, it’s everything to him and he can’t wait to bring you around all the time

Tom will never admit it, but he was super nervous too and the fact that it all went perfectly means you must be “the one”

And with the ring in his jacket pocket, he can’t wait to solidify it and finally make you Mrs. Holland too

1. So Ji Sub

big surprise huh... I saw one of his dramas and well, immediately going through my head: isn’t this man the most gorgeous being alive? Obviously, I proceeded to watch his dramas and movies, and then interview videos. And that’s when I realised, gosh he’s awkward, he’s weird, he’s an unapologetic introvert, and while this is the most weird thing I will probably say, I became a stan the minute I saw him nervous sweat in a variety show lol. Cause damn it if I didn’t feel it in my bones! This man is sweet, and talented, he loves to rap even though he knows none of his fans really enjoy it, he has fought to maintain his own personality and tastes through the decades of being in the Korean entertainment industry, plus he keeps his charity work as quiet as possible … yep respect!

And I could end it here honestly, but let’s persevere:

2) Matt Bellamy - Muse

This crazy, slightly paranoid, deeply talented man is my definition of modern musical genius. I still remember the first song I heard of Muse, and their first concert I went to. Muse brought me to fandom in the old days of LiveJournal. Some of my fondest fandom memories are Muse related, including skipping an afternoon at work to go queue for 3 hours for tickets for a surprise same day gig. I bumped into him in London and he was the kindest famous person I’ve ever met (not that I’ve met many but..), my selfie with him is a total treasure and I shook for a full hour afterwards, how I managed to arrive safe and sound where I was going, is a miracle.

3) Kate Winslet

This I guess is a complete aesthetic crush cause I haven’t watched any of her recent movies, or being interested in her professional life lately … but she was my first girl crush, and whenever I see a pic of her I smile, so that’s enough. Talented and so so beautiful.

4) Hyun Bin

Being as I am still riding the high of Crash Landing on You, obviously here’s Hyun Bin and his hotness… I really haven’t gone down rabbit holes of youtube interview videos of him, as I have with the people above but still.. isn’t he beautiful? Plus sweet and nice.

5) Park Min Young

Finally, Park Min Young. How can one person look perfectly beautiful all the time is anyone’s guess. Talented and absolutely sweet. Any drama or movie with her name on it, is immediately added to my watchlist.
