my pokemon brainrot is big and now im picturing ingo and emmet but like, in fullmetal alchemist,,,taking the place of ed and al, maybe with elesa in the place of winry? that's some real angst :)

Imagine emmet and ingo trying desperately to bring back one of their parents, and failing, and now one of them (i'd say ingo bc he gets all the angst, but lets let emmet have a turn) is without a body, and the other had lost an arm and a leg. and it didn't work.

Imagine team plasma in the place of Father and the Homunculi; N might be Greed, who will eventually turn over to the side of good, but that will not be for some time. the rest of the homunculi are members of team plasma, too.

Imagine the state alchemists being almost all the gym leaders. which one convinces ingo and emmet to join the military? who is their closest friend, who will die in a telephone booth after digging too deep?

who will take the place of major general armstrong, who leads a force to be reckoned with but uses the assumptions of others to their own advantage? who will take that place, and lead the advance against the enemy in the end?

who will become so focused on keeping a title that they will commit unimaginable horrors to keep it? who will deem themselves a god, and see fit to combine man and creature into something horrific and in pain, only to be struck down by a vengeful soul who aches for justice to be done to their people?

who will be the teacher, to take in these children and to teach them the things they cannot teach themselves? who will hold them close and attempt to shield them from that which aims to kill?

I dunno, but I feel like it could be a fun time, don't you?

Emmet Month Day 19 - Crossover

I love Fullmetal Alchemist, and I did some sketches for a crossover concept a while ago, but never did anything with it. Until now!

Emmet's armor is based on a Golurk (and yeah, I know they're a more blue-ish green, but I'm just working with the markers that I have), and I redesigned some aspects of the pokemon to better match Emmet and Alphonse's original armor.

Also I had fun experimenting with the lighting here! That was fun!

Ideas for my own Pokemon x Twisted Wonderland fanfic Part 3

Wild Pokemon that Appear in Twisted Wonderland Part 2

Oddish that evolves into a Gloom and Vileplume: An Oddish that appeared in Pomfior’s herb garden and took a liking to Vil, but when it evolved into Gloom Vil became conflicted between his bond with the little poison bud and how it’s new and stinky form could hurt his image. When Alexia explained that Gloom can evolve into a Belossom, Vil tried to convince it to evolve into that. This made Epel lose his patience with Vil and decided to take Gloom and move into Ramshackle, which made Vil question himself and grow depressed. After his overblot Vil apologized and admitted that he didn’t care about Gloom’s new form and that he needs to ease up on his obsession with image. Alexia agreed to let Gloom come back, but only if Vil agreed that Epel can talk the way he wants, and to neglect his beauty routine for each day that Epel and Oddish lived with her.

Misery the Misdrievious: A wild and sneaky Misdrievious that appeared in TWST and likes feeding on the misery of the students. She was temporarily partnered with Vil after Epel and Oddish left Pomfior and took advantage of his insecurity as a food source. She later ditched him mid-show to make Vil even more upset and made his overblot worse. Misery later overblotted due to her addiction of eating the overblots misery and was defeated by Alexia. She was taken to a Pokemon rehab.

Meltan and Melmetal: A minor filler villain thats more of a pest problem than an actual villain. One day an Ultra wormhole sent a bunch of meltan into NRC where they began to cause some mischief with their love of eating metal. They were first found by Ortho, who wanted to keep them as pets (it was kinda like in FMA when Alphonse wanted those cats), but when Idia found them eating his tech and little brother’s arm, the school freaked out and tried to exterminate them, which caused one of them to evolve into Melmetal in self defense. Alexia and Ortho were able to defeat Melmetal and helped it along with most of the Meltan return through the Ultra Wormhole, but one of the Meltan stayed behind and became Ortho’s first Pokemon, much to Idia’s dismay. Ortho named it Tinker and feeds it scrap metal and pokemon food.

Pollywag twins: The students find a pair of Pokemon eggs which go into the care of Alexia’s Crogunk Belladonna. They hatch after a few chapters, eventually evolve into poliwhirl, and then one evolves into Polywrath and the other evolves into Polytoad.

Doduo: a wild pokemon that ended up with the flamingos and became Cater’s first Pokemon. I don’t know why I chose this, it was just the first pokemon that came to mind when I was trying to think of what Pokemon the Heartslabyul boys would get and for some reason it just seemed to fit Cater.

Carnivine: A wild Carnivine that suddenly appears in the rose garden and acts as a mini boss. It mistook the hedgehogs for food and Alexia had to go into his mouth and save them.

Bongo the Bonsly: Jack’s first Pokemon. I chose a Bonsly because everyone else is already thinking of giving him a cactus pokemon and I didn’t want to copy them, but I still wanted to give him a pokemon that was at least somewhat related to his cactus hobby and that was when I remembered Bonsly! It’s a rock type pokemon that looks like a plant type and doesn’t like getting wet, I can totally see Jack making that mistake and watering Bongo but since he is so used to watering cacti he doesn’t put enough water on Bongo to hurt it but it still makes it uncomfortable. Bongo’s name is a reference to Bongo the Bear from the Disney film ‘Fun and Fancy Free’

Bullseye the Tauros (might change name): a wild Tauros that appeared at Epel’s hometown and was a mini boss before becoming Epel’s first pokemon. It’s first impression didn’t go well, Bullseye was suffering from a toothache and was running himself into the apple trees in an attempt to knock it loose and this caused the townspeople to mistake him for a mad bull that escaped from somewhere but when Epel saw the Tauros’s three tails, he suspected he could be a monster or a pokemon and called Alexia who confirmed it was a pokemon and that it’s behavior was either a result of confusion or pain. Epel having grown up on a farm and as a member of the equestrian club, realized what Tauros was trying to do and attempted to wrestle it to the ground and help it. Now Tauros stays at Epel’s house and helps the town by pulling carts and knocking apples out of trees.

Furret and Tepig: Cheka’s first Pokemon and a reference to Timone and Pumbaa

Beedrill: a swarm of beedrill that appear in scarabia and were defeated by Kalim’s oasis maker spell because they don’t like flying in rain. Jamil was in constant terror that day.

Ribbon-Bee the Ribombee: a wild Pokemon that appears in Twisted Wonderland and meets Kalim due to circumstances involving outside sports causing Kalim’s turban to fall off and Ribombee getting tangled up in the accessories. Kalim thought it was a kind of fairy and when he asked for its name, he mistook it for Ribbon-Bee due to the sounds it makes and and the name stuck ever since. In fact it became a kinda inside joke because Ribombee look a bit like bees and Kalim gave it ribbons to wear. Due to its special ability to synchronize its heart with others, Ribbon-Bee became a huge help to Kalim as he has difficulty understanding people. Like Mina’s Ribombee in the anime, Ribbon-Bee is able to make Kalim sense what it feels and uses this to help Kalim understand the feelings of others.

Muk: A wild Muk that appears as a mini boss in Pomfiore. At first it remained hidden due to all the perfumes in the dorm, but it’s stench soon became so strong it overpowered the perfume and its pressure was causing the plants to die. In response to this Vil and the dorm evacuated to get it fumigated and had to stay at Savannaclaw until it was done. At first they thought Ruggie’s Trubbish Nuka (who was visiting) was the cause but since Trubbish smell less bad the friendlier they get and it’s been so happy ever since moving into Ruggie’s hometown, it’s bad smell is almost completely gone, and Alexia pointed out that Trubbish can’t cause the same environmental damage that was happening in Pomfiore. While the dorm was being fumigated by Vargas, Sam, and Crowley, they were attacked by Muk and had to call the students for help. Muk was defeated by Nuka, Vil’s Vileplume, and Alexia’s Crogunk Belladonna.

Manga:

Fullmetal Alchemist- the gold standard

Silver Spoon- by the same person who did FMA. Agricultural school stuff. Cute.

Agravity Boys- space sci-fi gag comedy, a wild ride to say the least, I miss my stupid boys

Magu-chan: God of Destruction- cute digimon/pokemon-shaped gods get woken up and mingle with a bunch of middle schoolers. Cute fluff mostly, will occasionally pull at your heartstrings (including the ending)

High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku- comedy/ slice of life, about an entire family attending high school. Has a volleyball arc that rivals the likes in haikyuu!!

Haikyuu!!-sports manga, if you want to cry over boys and their love for the game then this is for you, Boys x Volleyball is the tru otp of the show

Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku- dark historical fantasy, so very, very good. Don't get attached.

Dr. STONE- sci fi, technically the main story is complete. We still have been getting the occasional side chapter or three that continue where the main story left off tho. A very solid shonen jump series. includes one of the best shonen jump dads in the history of ever. Will make u emotional over lightbulbs and stuff. hard not to root for the main cast.

Dr. STONE Reboot: Byakuya- a non-canon little one volume spin-off about byakuya and mainly about a funky lil robot that will make you sob uncontrollably I'd personally say to read up to the end of the Treasure Island arc in the main story first before tackling this one (about ch 140ish)

Dr. STONE 4D Science- a continuation of the main story, only a couple chapters, the ending is a really cruel tease imo and if Inagaki/Boichi don't give us more may they be cursed to lose all their left shoes forever

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Sanji- spin-off of sanji side stories by the duo who did food Wars. ONE PIECE related ofc. Tasty looking food. Sanji too cool for school. One volume.

Astra Lost in Space- space sci fi survival, solid story that deserves more appreciation, the ending is just a tad lackluster in actually showing what a lot of readers would have liked to physically see. By no means ruins the story tho.

Blue Flag (Ao no Flag)- high school, romance, slice of life, boys and gals just trying to figure out life and relationships. Solid.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles- gag comedy that leans a little too much into the shonen battle-esque stuff towards the end imo, but a decently enjoyable time. A mash up of Harry Potter and other various manga like mob, opm, etc.

Mitama Security: Spirit Busters- comedy, axed but I enjoyed it. Goofy fun. nothing spectacular but reading it won't hurt anyone.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes- spin-off of mha obviously, average joe Koichi >>> deku FIGHT ME, the goodest of boys, world building u don't get in the main series, Aizawa's backstory, Knuckleduster is the man the myth the legend.

Chihayafuru- screaming crying throwing up, it's niche it's technically a sports manga, romance, female MC, growth™, love triangle but at the end of the day that's not what's important

My Love Mix-Up!- comedy romance, big big mix-up on who loves who and lots of shenanigans ensue.

Noragami- TECHNICALLY not complete until like 2 days from now when the final chapter releases. my emotions! MY EMOTIONS!!!! 😭

Gintama- comedy/gag with dashes of really good drama

I have no idea what your tastes are, anon, so here's a mix that I've personally enjoyed. Some of them were axed, but technically that makes them complete so I included them :P yes I cheated.

Anime:

There's a lot less of them bc I haven't actually watched a lot of completed series.

Run with the Wind- more boys x sports but this time it's about running. Also the boys are in college. Will trick u into wanting to run.

91 days- ol timey story about VENGEANCE. Set during the prohibition.

Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann- makes you emotional and feel all fuzzy inside, sci fi, mecha

Cowboy Bebop- a classic

Samurai Champloo- also a classic and I actually prefer this one over cowboy bebop tbh, god tier baseball episode

Astra Lost in Space-the anime version, if you'd prefer watching over reading, but I always prefer manga > anime just cause.

FMA 03/FMA BROTHERHOOD- the gold standard. I appreciate both versions. 03 goes the anime original ending root bc obviously the manga wasn't completed yet no biggie.

Mob Psycho 100- MOB!MOB!MOB! and tumblr sexy man reigen arataka

Gintama- animated version alternative lol. The voice actors bring the characters to life.

Obv there are the old school classics like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Gundam and all that jazz if you haven't already checked out some of those. Oldies but goodies.

I have been BRAINROTTING over an FMA/Pokemon crossover and I need to share it so!!!

this is gonna be a 'characters exist in the context of another universe' crossover, btw so prepare for that!!!! mostly gonna use Kanto-Alola, bc im not familiar really with Galar and Paldea (except for SNOM and Wooloo)

anyway!

regional starters don't reeeeeally matter in this version, if there's a lack of starters in one region, they'll get a starter from another region

any characters who are State Alchemists are now Gym Leaders! Roy is a fire-type, Armstrong is fighting-type, etc. Olivier is a member of the Elite Four because she's just That Good.

Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric grow up in Pallet Town, alongside Winry Rockbell, whose parents are doctors who sometimes help out Professor Oak with stuff.

Trisha Elric and Delia Ketchum are besties, so Ed and Al also grow up with Ash, who is ~2 years older (eg. when Ash goes to Hoenn, Ed is just starting his journey and drags Al along

when Ed and Al are about 4/5, Trisha gets sick when there's an outbreak of disease in the area. She died from this, but Ed and Al move in with the Rockbells (as Delia can't financially support three young children on a single salary).

Hohenheim, btw, is off doing something vaguely justice-y, maybe he's in deep cover in Team Rocket? Idk, but he's not in the picture. Ed and Al know that he's 'busy with work', but can't know what that is. He does his best to keep in contact, but Van Honhenheim is legally dead so there's that issue.

Father is Hohenheim's twin, and is all around a terrible guy. He leads a crime syndicate in one of the regions (don't ask where, maybe Kalos?) that is NOT the main evil team, and the Homunculi are his enforcers.

The homunculi all specialise in a different type (eg. Envy is a bug specialist, Pride is a ghost specialist, Sloth is a fighting specialist, etc). They're annoying as fuck to deal with, and fight by their own rules. If you're in a battle with them, you are aiming to kill, because they won't hesitate to kill you if you lose.

anyway, Winry's parents are killed during an attack by Team Rocket while they were travelling, but are fairly well-known by the Gym Leaders and Elite Four of various regions for,,,,reasons (I.e. they helped out one of the Champions in a tight spot and earned the respect of most).

Just before they get killed, however, Ash leaves on his journey. Ed does NOT particularly like Pikachu, and it's...a situation. But Ed can't WAIT to go on his journey!!!

then, of course, they're vibing and just living life when something comes round to kick their asses.

Its team rocket.

listen, these two kids are at least vaguely related to Professor Elric (aka Hohenheim, he helped out Professor Oak until he found Stuff and went into deep cover to keep the family safe) so surely they know something about his research, right? right???

they, uh, they don't. But the attack happens one night when they're in their dad's study reading about something. a lone member of team rocket is sent to 'retrieve them', and ends up fucking up so much that goddamn ARCEUS gets involved

basically, Ed and Al were just vibing when this fucker, instead of doing the sensible thing and knocking them out and then just nabbing them, decides to bring out a fuckin scyther who...can't grab stuff. shit happens, Ed loses a leg in the initial scuffle but when he's trying to get to Al, loses his arm, and Al...comes off better, but not much. A few weeks pass, and a Gym Leader named Roy comes around to investigate as a favour to one of the Officers Jenny. He's there with his best friend/sort-of girlfriend (Ed doesn't really know, it's definitely something), and he's awkward and angry.

Roy keeps it quiet, it's all under wraps, but when he was younger, before he became a Gym Leader, he was a member of Team Rocket. He...thought they were good, but he was wrong. He left soon after that and dragged his childhood friend, Riza, out with him. Since then, he's become the Elite Four and International Police's investigator and attack dog, while training to inherit the Cinnabar Island Gym.

I was gonna wait until I had a more polished drawing to post about this au, but I'm impatient. Submas FMA crossover au! Ingo being Edward here and Emmet is Alphonse. These are my sketches for getting their designs out. (Took me forever to land on a hairstyle for Ingo, but I think I like the side parted bangs.)

I have pretty much all the main cast selected. I'll post more about them later, but just know that I stuck to Hisui and Unova for the characters, since that's where the twins are in their games. (You can probably guess who two characters are based on some notes in my sketches.)

Also, not every character will have the same personality or interpersonal relationships with others as their FMA counterparts. Ingo won't be as angry and feral as Ed, for example. I'm gonna stick as close to their personalities as I can, but Ingo will despise milk here cuz I think it's funny.

Three of Fell - My baby fic that I constantly neglect! Essentially, Lucina failed in her mission and is corrupted by Grima. Morgan takes up his sister's mask and goes to a third timeline to try to save his parents--and the world. In this fic I'm trying to include more about Emmeryn and Robin's mom, too!

Ponchos - This is for Pokemon Sun and Moon, fluff between Glaion x Moon. There isn't a lot of fic of them, and I love them a lot, so sometimes I reread this. It's really fluffy...

Insomniacs [Redux] - An FMA fic, Alphonse x OC with OC focus. This is INCREDIBLY dark which is the reason why I don't advertise it. However the OC, Delilah, is near and dear to my heart and she is my baby. I'm rewriting it on ao3, but the amount of people who have told me that the original fic of this on ffnet is their favorite is both staggering and heartwarming to me. Truly my magnum opus, but again, incredibly dark and therefore not for everyone.

Supports: Stahl & Sumia - I wanted them to be able to marry so I wrote it. Very fluffy. Incidentally I saw supports for them in an Awakening mod and the S support looks a bit like mine??? But I'm not mad lol they're cute af
