okay cause like here's the thing
Hasan has said before he celebrates like - not religious Christmas, but consumer Christmas (I do not have this quote but it was within the last month where he talked about it) so I feel like all of his traditions are like. based in things but not in a materialistic way. like.
🎄Hasan splurges on a good camera so that he can take 1000 pictures of his two favorite people in the world (you and your child), and the photo taking turns into a tradition. maybe there's always one that's the same, where it's the three of you sat in front of the Christmas tree.
🎄Hasan also feels like the type to put away money every month for his kid so that on Christmas he can give it to them. it also probably feels like "here's the money we're putting away for college" 💀 but I think it depends on how old they are (but it definitely starts on their first Christmas so it's stacked by the time they're allowed to take any money out of it)
🎄if you have traditions from your family, i think he adopts whatever you bring. maybe it's not even to do with your newborn, but as you're sitting at the end of the night, baby on your chest as you lean into Hasan, both sets of legs are up on the ottoman and you talk about how you can't wait to know if they like hot chocolate or eggnog more... or if they're a holiday drink person at all, and do they want to open gifts on Christmas eve or do they have more patience than you?

My Man.
When i first met you, i admit that your vibe kinda weired for me, do you know why? Its because no matter how i'm approachable i am to you and to your batch mate you never approach me the way you approach Kuya James, Ate Mariane, Ate Jesila and Kyle. I will admit that even that i dont have feelings for you i found you very charming and cute. I remember during midyear when i said good luck to you and your classmate pero as i have said apaka nonchalant mo😆. At that time napaisip ako kung kilala mo ba ako or feeling close lang ako that time.😆 Nasabihan pa ako ng kaibigan kong si Cherry na " para kang mayor, good luck ka ng good luck di ka naman kilala" and at that time tumama yung hiya ko sayo😆. Fast forward during orientation, napapasin na kita but i was kinda busy since i am the facilitator of orientation in our department. Nakakahiya nga kasi utos ako ng utos sayo huhuhuhuhuhu sorry naaaaa pero at that time, mas nakikita ko yung ugali mo like matulungin, mabait, funny and jolly and higit sa lahat ng nagustuhan ko is yung pagiging gentleman mo. At that time sabi ko sa sarili ko " ang swerte ng magiging girlfriend nito. Ang full package" Helping me in my things, comforting me during my lows and showing some stuff that you only does to me makes me curious about you. Time pass by, we got closer and closer to each other to the point na may anime marathon na tayo (yes marathon na siya sakin kahit 2 anime movies lang yon😆) and natutukso na tayo sa TES unbothered pa ako non kasi ang tingin ko pa sayo non baby boy or little brother kaya ang tawag ko sayo non Bebe and you use yo call me Ate. I was shocked when the time na nag inuman kayo ng friends mo and nag confess ka sakin that time. Yung paniniwala ko pa non sa sinabi mo 50/50 pa kasi ng lasing ka non so di ko alam kung totoo or hindi and that is the reason why i didnt bring up that topic nung kinaumagahan. As time pass by we are still close pero mas lumalalim yunh closeness natin. I remember nong sinabi ko na may practice kami ng badminton at sumama ka gulat ako kasi jokingly ko lang naman siya sinabi but at that time nakita ko na sa mata mo na you really have feelings for me but at that time also hindi ko alam kung may feelings na ako sayo non basta ang alam ko lang is i am really comfortable sayo i feel safe and calm. Then this time dumating na yung time na hindi mo ako pinansin kasi nag selos ka ng husto sa taga crim. I knew at that moment na gusto na kita. When Kaye Cee ask the name ng taga crim mas inuna ko yung mararamdaman mo kesa sa nararamdaman ko and i am really pissed when you didnt chat me at buti nalang may medical kaming sched non kaya nakausap kita. Things went smoothly between us up until ng tinanong mo ako kung pwede manligaw. Ang gara pa naman ng pagkakasabi ko sayo ng oo that time kasiii parang walang emotion pero i am happy that time kasi kahit papano may umuusad. I ask my dad about courting and you know what is the answer christmas came and ang saya ko non promise that was the best christmas and new year ever. But just like any other story, things get rough for us right know. We got too overboard and we didnt knew our limits. May this thing was a test to us if we manage to survive this. Now that my family are against us i cant do anything but to follow them. Being away to you is really hard as the moment. I couldn't sleep, think and i am longing to you. But let us take this moment my love to be better and to be wiser in our future. Lets learn from this and be better version of us. I promise to comeback to you with no fear and ready to show my love to you. I will also keep in mind your promise and use it as drive to finish this course and be with you for the rest of our lives. sarmale - little cabbage rolls with rice and meat with other veggies
cozonac - sweet bread with ground walnut and cocoa filling, sometimes with bits of turkish delight
chișcă - i never liked this one too much personally, its a mish mash of pork meat
șorici - pork skin :)
borș - sour soup, this ones eaten year round but im including it here
and these are the "essentials" for christmas. its way funnier if you dont have an image for these foods, and you make them up in your head first, and then see if what you think it is coincides with the real deal. all these with some variations are all over the former eastern bloc, especially the slavic countries. this part of europe is so fun, man.
went Christmas shopping today, saw panetone. prophecy came true. one panetone to rule them all!

You're right, it IS overwhelming to decide what to get. Btw, my family never really used to exchange gifts during the holidays, but the last couple of years we did it. When my sister and I were kids, our parents would ask us what we wanted as a birthday gift (my sister's birthday is on December 29th, and mine is on December 25th lol), but we never put it under the Christmas tree because they were, well, birthday gifts. And I never knew what to ask! It is way harder than it seems!
This year, though, I bought really simple gifts for my parents, my sister and our dog ❤️ they are under the tree right now (the gifts haha). My sister gave me a dress I liked while we went shopping, my mom gave me a door stopper (cuz I was really in need of one) and my dad gave me very beautiful shoes. We also bought gifts for the newborn baby of my sister's sister-in-law and my sister's husband, who came back with her from the big city where they're living for the holidays and brought gifts for us (is it too confusing?). Anyway, here's a picture of our tree :)
From friends I only get birthday gifts, when I get something. But I do like to give Christmas presents to them, sometimes I do :) What about you, do you exchange gifts with your family/friends?
The traditional food you mentioned seems very interesting. I know sarmale, dear Santa! We call it "charuto" here, it's a dish that we usually find at Arabic restaurants. Is borş a beet soup? i feel guilty, so so guilty. me and dylan were close, we worked together for the whole summer on my first year of working w dad. i mean we basically grew up together despite the huge ass age gap. but i couldn't remember the last time i talked to him before i died, which now that im thinking about it is christmas last year. everyone talked to him the week before BUT me. and when i heard ab what happened, i was calm. calmer than i usually was. was it because i already accepted the fact he would die? probably so. but now i can't fix how much we talk, cause he isn't here anymore. i cant fix it, and i feel so guilty. because now he's gone. he was killed in cold blood. i didn't cry when i found out. i was calm, and all i said was "oh". at that moment i thought if i wasn't strong, or if i couldn't hold everything together, that would be another weight on mom and dads shoulders, so i kept it in. i thought i had accepted the fact he was dead, and that was the reason i hadn't cried. but i actually held in so much that i realized i felt numb. at his funeral was the first time i cried, the first time i actually felt ANYTHING towards the whole situation. i cried, hard. then, i was angry. anger is so much more powerful than grief, and i realize that. cause i can't hide anger like i can grief. i threw things, snapped at my family so many times. and that built onto the guilt. thanksgiving came around, and i think i was still processing everything, but for some reason i expected him to show up. i expected to hear his truck, and him walk inside with his girlfriend and his newborn baby. i waited for him to say "hey karebear! how are you?" that was his nickname for me. karebear. it's sacred now, i guess. but i knew none of that would come true, cause he's gone. i hear mom and dad talk ab having to pay the bills for his house out of their own pockets, and i feel bad. more guilt. i wrote, i sketched, painted, and i still couldnt get rid of the overwhelming guilt i had. i turned tk nicotine(which im going to stop now, seeing that you are right. i should use other forms of therapy/coping) until today. i heard uncle jason had a tumor blocking something in his left braid and if he had another stroke, he wouldn't make it. that's what broke me. whatever wall i built up after the funeral broke, shattered like glass and i broke down. i feel like i didn't get to grieve for long cause no one else was, i felt like i had to move on and in reality, i didnt. i turned to bad habits when i should've talked, i shut down and built a wall cause i didn't want anyone to know i was hurting

This got long and kind of angsty I’m SORRY-
Axel and Mark are brothers. Axel’s older than mark by a fairly big margin so he offers that good ol’ elder brother wisdom™️ and Mark isn’t always here for it.
Axel’s had to drag mark out of parties more times than he can count, some because he was worried about his lil bro, some because he wasn’t answering moms texts and axel wasn’t about to let him make their momma feel bad.
Like this one time, their mom was punishing Mark for being completely shitfaced and missing something for their grampa, and Mark straight up snuck out of his room, no note, no regards, nothing, and with his mom fearing the absolute worst, that she’d lost her son, her baby, Axel quickly tracked down his brother and hauled his drunk ass right back home, speeding so fast mark was puking in the truck, yelling at him so bad mark pouted, and by the time they got home his brother was just a needy, scolded mess, and their mom was all over him, taking care of him and letting him puke and whine about his tummyache, and if she needed Axel to get anything, he did, not questions asked.
When mark was going through his first serious breakup, Axel really stepped forwards to work him back to normal, doing things with him other than just drinking the problems away like his friends wanted to. They went to cheap bowling alleys and drank cheap beer, they would drive around at 2 am, blasting music as they passed a joint, and it was probably the first real time- like honest, true, raw- that Mark learned it was okay to be a man and cry. He was hitting Axel, screaming and telling him she was every terrible name under the sun and that Axel had no idea what the fuck Mark went through to try to keep her happy.
When Axel pulled over, he shoved Mark back a little, just enough to straighten him back, telling him to stop being a pussy and just embrace it. She was gone. She was no good for him, and she was gone. She broke his heart, it was okay to be sad, and Mark wore his vocal chords raw with his sobs and shrieks of despair. “Why doesn’t she fucking want me, Axe? What’s wrong with me?”
“Nothing, dude,” he promises over his brothers tears. “You’re at a stupid age where love doesnt mean shit to nobody. Fuck, I am too. But right now, you’re sad because you’re alone, and one day you’re going to find someone, and they’re going to make you fear a lot of things more important than just ‘being alone.’ Trust me dude. You’re too fucking young to get that.”
They don’t talk about that night often. Axel’s jacket collar had been permanently ruined from Mark’s tears and hot breath against the leather, but from then on, instead of just getting drunk off his rocker when he was sad, he’d just find Axel and cry it out.
Their dad passed away when Mark was young, and their mom never really recovered from it. Because of this, Axel really took the role of being momma’s fix-it man, getting an under-the-table job when he was young and making sure Mark had snacks and lunches while their mom took care of the house. When momma Cluney eventually remarried, she never ceased to thank Axel for all he did, and it always put Mark in a weird feeling. Not that he wasn’t grateful beyond words, he just always felt bad that Axel had to go through that at such a young age.
“You were in Kindergarten,” Axel says cooly, passing his brother a beer. “What were you going to do, sell dunk-a-roos for cold, hard cash?”
“I could’ve done more,” he mumbles, taking a long sip of his drink. “Like... I could’ve been more grateful for the toys and the lunch money.”
Axel chuckles and reaches over to ruffle Mark’s hair, “hey; you were fed. You didn’t give mom too much shit. And on your birthday, you got the Power-Ranger toys you wanted. You were grateful. You just didn’t get why you had to wait until your birthday.”
Mark snorts and shoves Axel’s hand away, sighing softly, “I wish I knew him, dude..”
“You look just like him.”
“What was he like?”
Axel hums and leans back in his seat, fingers swirling the lip of his beer bottle, “I remember when I was nine, I told him I was going to run away. Go live in the treehouse of our old house.” He paused to smirk, “bastard made me a lunch box with two peanut butter sandwiches, a bag of barbecue chips and a juice box and said ‘good for you! You’re a man now, do what you gotta do!’ I never made it off of the porch.”
Mark snickers and they get real quiet. “I miss him,” he admits. “I don’t remember him... but I miss him.”
Axel hums again, “he was moms great love. Never laid a hand on us, nor her. He was a good man.”
Mark raises his bottle to his brother, “you’re a good man too, dude.”
“Believe me, mark,” Axel chuckles sadly. “I’m only a quarter of the man he was.”
On a lighter note, Axel taught Mark to drive. He filled his truck with gas, drove them both out to the city limits, butt-fuck no where, with a bag of fast food and his gps.
“Okay,” Axel hums. “Get out.”
“Excuse me?”
Axel pulled the keys out of the ignition and tossed them to his brother, “you’re driving us back home. Oh, and to CVS, mom needs sugar and milk.”
And with those buggy green eyes, Mark just completely stares at Axel, freaked out and worried (mostly because Axel’s truck is his baby, and Axel was levelheaded enough at all times to hide a body if need be), so with a reassuring smile, axel slips out of the driver side, gesturing mark to slide over the bench-seat, and he slowly walked Mark through the process of starting the car and driving back home.
He hit a curb. And ran a stop-light. Nearly hit a squirrel, but never once did axel raise his voice to him. He would simply tell him it was alright and that “it doesn’t have to be perfect; I just want you to get us home.”
When they finally pull in a few hours later, Mark was so terrified Axel would tell their mom everything, but axel just shook his head. “If I wanted you to be perfect, I wouldn’t have just thrown you into traffic; I wanted to make sure you could drive if I wasn’t around and mom needed you. You got home. We’re alive. Tomorrow, if you’re feeling easy, we’ll go to a parking lot or something. But you did fine.” He smiles and leaves the truck, “but don’t puke in the truck; do it in the front yard, please.”
Which. Mark obeys.
Whenever Mark’s birthday rolls around, Axel drives them up to an old lake house their great-grandparents built, only bringing some clothes, booze and a gas can to get in and out of town, and they fish, make s’mores, and just be kids again. Again, Mark is much younger than Axel, so all the memories Axel has here, Mark doesn’t, so he wants him to enjoy the young years of his life that Axel really couldn’t.
Sometimes, if they’re bold, they’ll bring whoever they’re dating or smashing, but they’ve found it’s better to just have a guys weekend away, only them two in the middle of the woods, with only the fish in the lake to keep them company.
“So you had a treehouse and a fuckin’ cabin before I came along?” Mark asks by the fire, marshmallow clinging to his face childishly. Axel snorts, “dude I haven’t had a birthday party since I was seven, then you showed up.”
“Oh I’m sooo sorry,” Mark sings, rolling his eyes and plopping the last of his s’more in his mouth. Axel sighs dramatically, “don’t be. You made mom happy,” he pats his brother on the shoulder. “And she said I wasn’t allowed to try and return you anymore, so.”
Mark laughs before his brows furrowed, “anymore?”
Axel smirks. “Why do you think you’re so claustrophobic now, Markie?”
“The fuck did you do to me?”
“Shoved you in a box and left you outside.”
“You WHAT.”
“Three times.”
They bicker. They fight. But they’d fucking die for each other. As they got older, they really became best friends and Mark is open to that fact.
In fact, for Axel’s birthday, Mark got his hands on a pikachu doll from the 90’s that Axel was dying to have a kid but couldn’t get because he had to help his mom take care of mark, but every now and again he brought it up to joke.
Mark could tell that, even as an adult, he still wanted that pikachu toy because he wouldn’t shut up about it, so he finally saved up and got it ($150 mint-condition his asshole), and when Axel opened it on his birthday, there was not a dry eye from anyone except Mark.
Big, green eyes flip from the toy to Mark, jaw dropped in surprise and just completely at a loss for words. Mark grins, “now you can shut up about it; you own it. Live your Ash Katchum dreams, freak.”
Axel laughs around his cries, a tattooed hand coming up to stop himself. He wastes no time in stalking his way over to his brother, pulling him in for a tight hug while the younger just hugs him back, still smiling before shoving him off when people tried to get pictures.
“Cant have people who get our Christmas card think I like you or anything,” he snorts, making Axel laugh again before going back to his seat to finish his gifts, but everyone (including himself) knew that Mark won that year.
The first time Axel brings someone home, they’re a guy. Their mom was chillin, she had no problems with it (though she didn’t really expect Morgan to necessarily be a man), Mark was pretty confused. Like, sure Axel always had friends over, but they were never cuddly and touchy before, and it made Mark really curious.
He probably brings it up on one of their fishing trips years later, and axel barely has any clue what he’s talking about at first.
“You seriously don’t remember Morgan?” Mark asks in disbelief. “Like, how do I, but you don’t?”
“I’ve been with a lot of people,” Axel shrugs. Then, he tenses up and a slow grin spreads across his face, “oh. Morgan.”
“Yes! Morgan, the first person you ever brought home!”
“They’re not Morgan anymore,” Axel recalls. “Well, to me anyways. After we broke up, they became she, and her name is Bella. We’re still close, she’s just not Morgan anymore.”
“So... are you... like...?”
Axel smirks, “I’m nothing, dude. No skin off my ass for labels. If you learn anything from me, Markie boy,” he turns to his brother, “do what makes you happy. Love who the hell you want. Mom’s going to love you. I’m gonna love you. And fuck anyone who tells you you can’t.”
“I think I’m straight.”
Axel chuckles. “You’ve just never pursued anyone who hasn’t gone after you; just so happens only women have gone after you.”
Mark frowns and sinks lower in his seat, “do you think... not-straight-guys are afraid of me?”
“I think they’re afraid of your frat-boy-fuck-buddies who tease someone for having any sort of human emotions,” Axel says nonchalantly. “I’ve taught you enough about treating people with respect, your friends don’t have the same drive you do.”
Which brings me to my next point
Axel ABSOLUTELY taught Mark about the birds and the bees.
He drove them both around town not long after Mark turned 14, and he parked at their town’s high school and just... talked about sex. What happens, how does it feel, etc..
“You need to listen to her, Mark,” he says sternly. “The minute you hear a “no,” you fucking stop. The minute you hear a ‘I don’t want to,’ you stop. I don’t care if you’re balls deep inside of her, you slip out, tuck yourself away and apologize for making her uncomfortable.”
“But what if-“
“No.”
That’s the basics; like what happens when you have sex, what how to use protection, and the importance of consent. A while later, once Mark starts going to parties, he drives them out again, only this time to talk about when she says “yes.”
“You gotta work her up,” Axel hums, cigarette low on his lips. “Her body will let you know when she’s ready. If you go in dry, you’re going to hurt her.”
“How do I like... do that?”
Axel smirks, “play with her a little. Kiss her nice and slow... let your hands paw and squeeze, let her moan a little, let her purr... I’ve been with a few girls who like being tickled and picked up, some girls like it more rough and playful too, a smack on the ass, a few bites on their neck-“
“How will I know?” Mark squeaks. “If she like... likes what I’m doing.”
Once again, Axel grins, “believe me, Markie boy- you’ll know.”

I don’t think anything about movies hurts me more than Andrew Garfield having the third Spider-Man movie and a part in the MCU ripped out from under him. He loved Peter so much, he had such big ideas and dreams for the franchise and I just 🥺 Andrew deserves to be in the MCU, god fucking damn it. Retcon everything, refilm Avengers (2012) but Peter stumbles onto the battle of New York on his way home and he helps the Avengers win. Loki tries to mind control him and Pete just laughs in his face and then breaks Loki’s nose. He doesn’t join them for shawarma, but Steve does show up to his school to explain why Peter was late for his final.
[clutches chest] PETER PARKER SWINGS ON DOWN TO DC TO HELP NATASHA AND STEVE WHEN THEY FIND OUT SHIELD IS MOSTLY HYDRA. R-RATED CAP2, BUT IT’S RATED R BECAUSE PETER CAN’T STOP CURSING. ALSO THE WINTER SOLDIER RUNNING INTO PETER PARKER WOULD BE VERY FUNNY BECAUSE IMAGINE HOW BUCKY LOOKED IN CAP3 WHEN PETE CAUGHT HIS HAND BUT ITS AG PETER AND HE CATCHES THE FIST AND IS LIKE “SORRY ABOUT THIS ASSHOLE, THATS A DOPE ASS ARM, BUT UH [snaps it off] FUCK NAZI’S” AND THAT MAKES THE MASK FALL OFF AND STEVE STILL DOES THE “😮 Bucky?” And the winter soldier does his “who the hell is Bucky?” And Pete’s like off to the side, incredulous and without the spidey suit just in his college kid street clothes, jerks his thumb at Bucky, “CAP YOU KNOW THIS FUCKING NAZI OR SOMETHING???”
PETER AND NICK FURY LMAO HE’D FOLLOW NICK AROUND MIMICKING HIM PERFECTLY EVEN THOUGH HE CANT SEE HIM AND IT WOULD INFURIATE HIM. He gets Maria to laugh four times in one briefing though by dropping wigs onto nick from the ceiling
Tiny baby pete showing up in iron man 3 to call Tony a fucking idiot and save him from himself and drive him to therapy and he shows Gwen Tony’s plan for taking the arc reactor out and in twenty minutes they’re like “lol yeah we can fix this in an afternoon, no problem grandpa.” And Tony wants to be livid but the science is sound and that damn Gwen Stacy is just so smart, and he’s really gonna trust a college student with this, isn’t he?
Tell me andrews Peter Parker wouldn’t have followed Natasha after civil war and shown up at her trailer and been like, “hey, there’s a bad guy following you, thought you should know. Ohhh, is that caviar? I’ll take that. Thanks nat! What are we watching?” And she’s just standing there as he steals her rare russian caviar right out of her hand because what the fuck, Peter. Also his commentary with Yelena would be great. They’d love each other and it would drive Natasha bonkers. “God you’re such a mom.” “Sorry Nat. It’s true.” “Ive killed people you know. Lots of people.” Peter, deadpan perfect imitation of Elle Woods, “what, like it’s hard?”
Sam HATES him, complains about the fucking millennial and his taste in music and it’s mostly jokes, but Peter starts calling him an old man and referring to him as dad in public both to confuse the general public and remind Sam that he is, in fact, old enough to have a kid in his mid 20’s when nobody bats an eye at it. A couple of nice old ladies in the subway even tell Pete he has his fathers eyes, and Sam can’t fucking breathe he’s so horrified that they think a 25 year old white boy hipster is his child, but Bucky and Steve are in tears laughing so hard
Peter tries to do the same thing to Steve and Bucky, pass them off as his dads, but to everyone’s horror neither one of them bats an eye at this and they start calling him son and sweetpea and champ in front of people and Steve pinches his cheeks at a parent’s night at his college and Bucky charms a couple baby pictures out of Aunt May and has Natasha photoshop him and Steve into them and shows them to people and Peter hates it. They have an open invite to any parent events though, but usually it’s only one of them who escorts Aunt May and plays the part of doting dad. Also, they would adore aunt May. Absolutely adore her and flirt shamelessly with her, to Peter’s abject horror, and May flirts back, “I’m old, not dead and blind, Peter.”
Oh, older angstier Peter and Bruce 🥺 Bruce comforting him after Gwen dies and Peter’s one of the only people who can talk the hulk down. The hulk even likes Peter. They spar sometimes when Pete’s in a Mood. Bruce GETS it, feeling like something you love so much stole even more from you and resenting it and resenting yourself sometimes and being angry at the world and yourself all the time and they just vibe so hard. Tony often comments that he’s jealous, because all Peter has to do is send Bruce a meme and he gets like a real honest to god full body laugh. He can make the fucking hulk laugh in the middle of a fight. Peter unironically gets Bruce a #1 dad mug for Father’s Day, and May helps him make a #1 Hulk Dad hat for the hulk for Father’s Day too. Because reasons.
Pete, Bucky, Thor, Steve and Natasha play drinking games that Peter teaches them but they play them with asgardian alcohol so they all get absolutely fucking hammered and Peter plants one on thor and Bucky and then drunkenly stumbles away grumbling about kissing grandpa ex-hydra assassins and whining that he stopped kissing Thor in the first place. None of them comment the next morning but at Christmas Peter can’t seem to go around a corner in the tower without running into Thor and some mistletoe. And then he meets Jane and wants to die because he’s a huge fan of her work but also he didn’t realize they were dating and “oh my god, I’ve been kissing the boyfriend of one of the greatest minds of our generation, I’m a terrible person” and Tony and Bruce are like “excuse me??!”

"Well, aren't you a crotchety old man?" The male Beta Nurse covered in beef stew asked as he wheeled Chris's food cart out, Chris's doctor standing before him with her clipboard.
Dr. Sophie Kennedy gave another sigh as she scribbled down some notes, shaking her head at her patient's behavior. That was the third Nurse this month that Mr. Redfield had scared off or sent packing. It also seemed like the Alpha wasn't making very much progress with his recovery either, still not knowing what had happened overseas...or in the last couple of years.
Though it was hard to determine how far back he could remember considering Chris hadn't been very talkative or friendly, but that was due to his condition and his stubborn personality...and the fact that the Alpha couldn’t remember anything and didn’t want to make the effort either.
She had been with the BSAA for a couple of years now and she had never dealt with a patient as difficult as Chris. He usually was never this bad. He was usually very friendly and easygoing, one of her favorite patients since the start. It probably helped that the man and his sister had been friends with her husband for years.
Christ, she wished Lucas was here now, but the man was busy down in DC dealing with what...well, that was “Classified” but he promised to be home soon.
Sophie looked through the list of nurses that had been assigned to the Alpha’s care since the beginning of his stay. Two Alphas and a Beta. She had changed out the Alphas because she had the impression that they triggered competitive behavior in him and made him more hostile...but it seemed that changing to a Beta nurse made him hostile as well...which meant that she was going to have to pull in an Omega...but most of them worked in the Children’s Ward. She would need to pull one that she could closely monitor...maybe one that was also familiar as well.
She really didn’t want to...but she had just the Omega in mind for the job.

“Jingle Bells! Jingle Bells! Jingle all the way...” Leon sang along with the little boy he was treating, letting the little guy squeeze his hand as the doctor drew blood for his blood tests, “...in a one horse open sleigh...hey! Look at that! All done!”
Andy averted his eyes until the needle was out of his arm, the limb was still discolored and a bit mutated, but Andy was well into his treatments of the infection and was considered not contagious or hazardous anymore. Leon wiping his arm with an alcohol swab before showing him a variety of bandaids, “Now, I got a bunch of band-aids; Star Wars, Super Mario, Avengers, or Disney Christmas.”
Andy sniffled, wiping his nose with the sleeve of his non-mutated arm, breaking into a fit of giggles as Leon used funny voices and had the character band-aids ask the little boy to not be sad, promising that they could have ice cream now that he was all done. Andy picked a Minnie and Mickey band-aid, Leon helping to put it on his boo-boo.
“There, all better!” The Omega said, putting the rest away, but giving Andy a Donald and Daisy Duck band-aid, “And another for good luck...now, what kind of ice cream would you like with your lunch today, bud?”
Andy reached up and accepted Leon’s hand as the Nurse walked him back to his room, Leon swinging their arms as Andy skipped. The Omega smiled as he listened, Andy listing off his favorite ice cream flavors and toppings. A couple of times, Andy or Leon would stop to greet fellow patients or nurses, Leon high-fiving the other children. Once they were back, Leon helped him into his bed, gently booping him on the nose, informing Andy that it was coming right up.
“Get plenty of rest in the meantime, okay?” Leon asked, tucking Andy in.
“Okie dokie, Mr. Leon.” Andy said, giving a yawn as he nestled into bed, “Can I watch Wreck-It Ralph?”
“Sure!” Leon replied, turning to the little television above the boy’s bed, looking through the on-demand options before finding the movie he was looking for, turning it on, “If you want to change the movie, just use these buttons or ask for help, okay?”
Andy nodded before turning his attention toward the television. Leon smiled and gently ruffled his hair, exiting the room and gently closing the door behind himself.
He loved his job and he loved working with kids. He had been fresh out of Medical School, not his first choice, but his Dad didn’t want him to join the Police Academy. He had just graduated and barely a month out of school when his Mom brought him into the fold. When he first started here, everything had been a bit overwhelming and admittedly kind of scary. He had expected medical emergencies and dealing with blood and stuff. What he hadn’t anticipated was having to work with children infected with biological viruses and children affected by biological warfare.
Luckily, he had gotten into the swing of things fairly quickly, and learned to love his job. The kids needed people who wouldn’t look at them like they were monsters or were scary. Some kids who had been injured and separated from their parents needed guardians that would love and care for them during their stay. Someone to let them know that things would be okay in the end.. They all needed people who kind of had an understanding of them and treated them like kids.
So, that’s what Leon did, he treated them like they were his own, giving them the love and care they needed, even just being a friend when they needed him.
“There you are!” He heard a voice call to him, his mother approaching him, “I need you to come with me.”
Leon canted his head, brows furrowed in confusion, “Is something wrong?”
“Yes...and no.” Sophie admitted as she led him to a different wing, one that he usually never worked in, “I have a patient who is a bit older than ones you’re used to working with. He’s a tad difficult...but I think he needs just the right kind of nurse to help him out.”
Leon raised a brow, “What do you mean? What happened? And why are we going to the Soldiers Area?”
"You're going to have a new patient during your runs." Was her curt reply.
Sophie explained everything on the way to Chris’s room, explaining that Captain Redfield had a mild case of Post Traumatic Amnesia that was causing him some issues. The Alpha had already gone through three nurses in the past month, and he wasn’t showing much signs of progress either with his usual treatments…so she was going to try a different route for this case.
"But...what about the kids I care for at night?" Leon questioned.
"I already have people on it. They'll take over your patients so you can care for this one."
She handed Leon Chris’s file, before giving the door three sharp knocks and stepping aside to let Leon do his usual greeting.
Leon gave a deep breath, never having worked with any of the soldiers before. So dealing with their Captain sounded a bit intimidating to him. He gave his friendliest smile before slowly opening the door. What greeted him was a very clearly annoyed Alpha, the man wearing a deep scowl as he watched the Omega. The younger man couldn't help but blush, breath momentarily caught in his throat as he studied the older man briefly.
Oh, lovely, he was quite attractive and intimidating. This definitely wasn't going to be a walk in the park.
"Good evening, Mr. Redfield!" Leon greeted in a chipper tone, "My name is Leon Kennedy, or Nurse Kennedy. How are you feeling today?"
The Alpha raised a brow at him, grumbling a reply as he turned away from him. Chris crossed his arms and looked toward the window, the curtains still closed.
"Oh, did you prefer to have the curtains drawn?" Leon asked, setting the folder down before going to the window, "It's not a "bright and sunny" kind of day, but I find the rain to be quite beautiful."
Leon drew back the curtains, giving a momentary look of disapproval due to how dark it already was outside and wondering if someone just recently closed these. He apologized to Chris, saying that it was night time right now, so there wasn't much to see, but plenty to hear. When he didn't receive a reply, Leon cleared his throat, muttering to himself before going to close the curtains.
"Leave them." A stern voice commanded, Chris's eyes turned to Leon, now watching the Omega again.
"Oh...okay!" Leon replied, complying with the simple command, leaving the curtains be as he turned his full attention to his new patient, "So...I don't know if you've been informed yet, but I'm your new nurse for the duration of your stay here."
Chris gave a sound that resembled that of a scoff, shaking his head at Leon. The nurse took a deep breath through his nose, maintaining his smile and friendly demeanor. He was not sure if he should acknowledge the sound or act as though he hadn't heard it. This man was definitely not like any of Leon's past patients, not even the most difficult of kids made Leon feel unsure of his abilities...or confidence.
"Well...oh! Have you eaten lunch yet?" Leon asked enthusiastically.
Chris looked the Omega up and down again before shaking his head, a stern look still on his features. He still wasn’t quite sure what to make of the Omega, but decided that he preferred the younger man to the previous nurses he had had before. He seemed overly kind, but Chris guessed that that was due to the Omega having worked in the Children’s Ward previously. So, Chris could see that it wasn’t just an act...at least he was sure it wasn’t an act. He couldn’t tell how good he was at judging someone’s character. He had been pretty sure previously...not that he could remember...but he wasn’t completely sure of his own mind right now. Or his judgement skills.
He would just have to wait and see what this “Nurse Kennedy” was all about.
“So, hungry for anything in particular?” Leon asked, grabbing the room menu, “I know my Mo-Dr. Kennedy said your memory isn’t the best right now, but maybe if you look over our delicious and nutritious options...it might help you remember something?”
“You can drop the baby voice.” Chris deadpanned, “I’m not a child.”
Leon gave a look of momentary surprise, blinking a couple of times before giving a small “oh”, before apologizing to the Alpha. Chris narrowed his eyes but gave a sigh, telling him that he didn’t need to apologize. He just needed him to...not treat him like everyone else did.
Leon gave a nod in understanding, “Okay, I’m sorry for that...I’m so used to working with kids and you’re my first real adult patient. I know that’s no excuse…”
Chris waved it off, “It’s fine...you’re just doing your job, I guess…”
Leon gave a small smile and a nod, handing Chris the food menu. Leon gave some suggestions that he himself thought quite delicious, Chris not helping himself and listening as the Omega happily went on to describe his favorite dishes. Chris thought it necessary to make mental notes of them...just in case.
Leon had spent part of Lunch with him and went through his mental exercises without a hitch. Chris had actually found him quite helpful and encouraging, unlike the nurses Chris had had before.
By the end of the night, Chris really didn't want Leon to go home.

It wasn't long until Chris found himself looking forward to the young Nurse's visits, often waiting patiently for Leon to get done his morning runs in the Kids' Ward before coming to spend his nights with him. He helped quite a lot and was very patient during physical therapy. Chris hadn't had any issues with Leon, the Omega growing on Chris quite a lot…
...More than he thought. He felt something other than admiration. He hadn't felt like this before...not that he could remember a time where he had. Had he liked men? Was he even into them? He didn't know nor could he remember. Even if he hadn't been into them previously...he would make an exception in Leon's case. Chris was an Alpha who definitely could have a thing for Omegas in general.
Especially adorable brunettes with cute smiles who brightened up his days.
He hadn’t said much to Leon, but the Omega didn’t mind, doing most of the talking anyway. And Chris didn’t mind Leon doing the talking, starting to genuinely enjoy the sound of his voice. Especially since Leon wasn’t talking to him like one of his younger patients or like he was dumb or confused. He spoke to him like he was like anyone else. Bottom line, Leon was the only nurse who could handle Chris, and the only nurse Chris hadn’t sent packing.
In his confusing blur of faces, Leon was the one constant.
A smile crossed his lips as he heard the familiar pattern of knocks, not needing to guess who was on the other side.
“Good Evening, Mr. Redfield!” Leon exclaimed in a chipper tone, this time pushing in a cart with two mugs, a teapot and a bag full of something, “I brought you a surprise! It’s snowing outside and the cafeteria had hot cocoa today and I thought you could use some warming up!”
Chris raised a brow, watching curiously as Leon rolled the cart next to the bed. The little bag was a bag full of heart-shaped marshmallows, Leon informing him that he had heard from Captain Valentine that Chris was a fan of hot cocoa. And because Chris was Leon’s favorite patient, Leon brought a treat from his own personal stash of sweets.
“That and the little guys and gals ate all the other marshmallows.” Leon admitted with a chuckle, pouring the packet of cocoa into the mugs before pouring the hot water from the kettle.
Chris sat up on his own, despite his arm being in a cast, looking at the contents of the cart curiously. He couldn't help but quirk a brow at the bag of pink, heart shaped marshmallows sitting there, the packaging very, dare he say, cute. Much like the nurse who had brought them.
Leon blushed as Chris chuckled, “They’re very cute...just like you.”
Leon gave a bashful smile and a nod, “Uh, thanks...one of the guards here I’ve become good friends with. He brought them back for me from Tokyo.”
Chris gave a curious look as he accepted the offered cup of cocoa, “Oh...so are you seeing them? Like, romantically?”
The younger dropped a couple of hearts into Chris’s cup before stirring the cocoa, giving a deep blush as he turned back to his own cup, “Oh...uh, no. He’s just a friend…”
An internal sigh of relief left Chris as he listened to the younger man explain that Finn had been a friend of his from college, him and Piers. He used to play video games with Finn...before Finn passed away in Edonia. He stopped himself, Chris furrowing his brows and repeating the name. Leon apologized, saying that he probably shouldn’t have mentioned him.
“Why not?” Chris had asked, feeling a slight ache in the base of his skull.
Was it just him or were the fluorescent lights flickering ever so slightly?
Leon bit his lip, wondering what he should say, “...Do you remember a place called Edonia?” he asked, sitting down on the side of Chris’s bed with his own cup of cocoa, “It’s okay if you don’t. And if you start to feel distressed, we don't have to talk about it anymore.”
The Alpha gave a slight nod, “Kind of...everyone who visits me keeps asking me about it...but Dr. Kennedy tells them to stop before I can understand why.”
Leon nodded, “Right, because she doesn’t want you to have an episode or hurt yourself in the process. You’re suffering from a form of amnesia that occurs sometimes through an extreme injury or trauma.”
Chris nodded in confirmation, “Which is why I can’t remember anything. That I know...but your friend, Finn...he was in Edonia with me? He died because of me?”
Leon shook his head, “No...he died because of a terrorist attack. Not because of you, you led his team but...I don’t know the details, but I think Piers said it was an ambush.”
“But I could have saved him…” Chris assumed.
“I don’t know…” Leon shrugged, “...but I’m sure you did all you could for him.”
Chris was about to respond until the lights seemingly flickered some more, causing him slight alarm. He could only vaguely hear Leon as his world became muffled and blurry. He could see a figure…a person...reaching out toward him. Chris felt extremely overwhelmed, his heart pounding in his ears and his fingers numb, his limbs tingling. Air...he needed air…
“Mr. Redfield? Mr. Redfield!” Leon called with concern, taking the hot cocoa before the man accidentally spilled it and burned himself in the process, putting his own down, “Chris! Chris-HEY!”
Chris could see a woman, she was holding a weapon at them and laughing. He needed to stop her.
The Omega was tipped backward, shoved hard against the bed with the panicked and slightly angry looking Alpha holding him down onto the bed, tightly gripping his biceps. Even the one in the cast still somehow maintained a death grip on him. Leon didn’t fight back, knowing that would not only be irresponsible, but probably a bad move in case Chris awoke from his panicked state.
Or didn’t and hit him. Not that he wasn’t used to getting hit, but this wasn’t a small confused baby or toddler. This was a grown man with the strength of a bull who was trained in the most deadly of combat.
“Chris! Hey...you’re not in Edonia…” Leon tried, speaking calmly and slowly as wide brown orbs held him down with an admittedly intimidating gaze, “We’re at the BSAA Headquarters...can you hear me?”
Chris held him down, the flashing coming to a halt as the room became normal again. The woman melted away, in her place was Leon, looking up at him with confused blue orbs. Chris quickly released him, breathless and utterly confused as he got off of the younger, helping the nurse to his feet. He apologized profusely, but Leon merely waved him off.
“It’s alright, you were having an episode...it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have mentioned anything about...that stuff.” Leon apologized, “You’re distressed, so we’re dropping it. You didn’t hurt me.”
Chris gave him another once over, brushing the nurse off, “Are you sure?” he asked softly, “I’m sorry…”
Leon gently laid a hand on Chris’s shoulder, giving a nod and a smile, “Mr. Redfield, it’s alright...this isn’t my first rodeo.”
Chris felt guilty but Leon kept insisting that everything was alright, that he had dealt with patients all the time. Some were a bit more difficult than others, considering that there were patients here that were mutated. Granted, his patients were a lot smaller and younger than Chris...but some of them could be pretty brutal and aggressive. Especially if they were suffering with mutations due to the viruses they had been exposed to.
Chris raised a brow, “Really?” he asked as Leon helped him back into bed, “There are little kids dealing with this?”
Leon nodded, tucking him in before adjusting his pillows, “Yup, they aren’t usually in the middle of it all, not like you guys. Sometimes, the virus is delayed and sometimes doesn’t activate until they are in the transport vehicle. Or until they get here.”
The Omega gave a sigh of relief, noting that there wasn’t a mess. Then again, Chris hadn’t knocked his teeth in or broken his nose. He had read that Chris had “often left a mess” after most of his encounters with the nurses. And his mom informed him that she was thoroughly impressed that Leon had managed to “tame” the “Wild Alpha” that was Chris...but Leon had to admit that “taming” the man wasn’t his intention. He wanted to help him like he helped his other patients.
He picked up the cocoa, handing Chris’s cup back to him. He sat back down with him, giving another reassuring smile before holding his cup out. Chris looked down at that, holding his cup out and meeting Leon’s, clinking their mugs together. They sipped at the mugs of hot cocoa, not saying much to each other as they enjoyed their chocolatey beverages.
Chris made a curious sound as he slurped up the marshmallow, “Tastes like...strawberries.”
Leon nodded enthusiastically, licking his lips, “Yup...wait, you’re not allergic, are you?”
The Alpha shook his head, eagerly slurping up the other marshmallow, “Not at all...I love strawberries...at least I think I do…”
Blue eyes widened and brightened with interest, “You do? Me too!” Leon exclaimed, “Well...you don’t know...but…”
The Alpha smiled, “I like sweet things...that I know for a fact.” He said with a wink. The Omega blushed, happily sipping his cocoa as he sat with Chris, occasionally looking up to meet his eyes. Chris smiled back, stealing looks at the Omega until it was time for Leon to go. Leon’s heart fluttered as he bid Chris goodnight, the Alpha giving a small wave, his own heart fluttering as he watched Leon leave. He was always looking forward to tomorrow.

Author note: hey!! Sorry it took.so long! Between Christmas and a nasty cold I got (and honestly having massive writers block on how too end this lol) it's been a long year already Haha

The biggest problems with small towns . Everyone knew everyone’s business, for example when Nancy and Jonathan got together the entire school started talking about it. And by the next day the entire town knew! It surprised you. Not them getting together you saw their attraction for each other a mile away. But Steve’s reaction shocked you.
Mr. Popular turned mushy. All cause of Nancy! It stunned you seeing Steve heartbroken over Nancy. You never were close with Steve. Especially since you werent popular or pretty so Steve left you alone.
That all changed the moment you stumbled upon monster or “Demodogs “ as they called it. You screamed, cried in fear and spent the night in terror running around ans seeing your cousin Dustin and his friends. Basically being bad asses with a girl who can move things with her mind! It was a Night too remember. But it did lead you too become friends with Steve something you never imagined. Or did anyone else could imagine.
A lot of things happened after that., learning about the fucked up things that was your town, Elle dying too protect the town. What stunned everyone was your bubbling relationship with Steve Harrington! The hottest guy you ever met. Once getting over your annoyance of great hair Harrington. You both ended up falling madly in love.
The summer hit and Everything changed.
First week of summer you discovered you were pregnant. With Steve's baby.
At first you thought he was happy. Steve acted like he was blissfully happy. Unknown too you how terrified he was. Begging Steve too be with you too tell your parents. He agreed but ended up not showing up. A common problem lately. He was flakey. The one time you needed Steve he wasn’t their. Thankfully your grandpa decided on the spot too take you in, he was being more helpful then your boyfriend and all you could think about was if your dad was right that Steve was a good for nothing who would abandon you and the baby the second he could. And unfortunately Steve wasn’t helping his case by not showing up or calling you back.
You would call him and he would call back. Two days later. He has cancelled every plan you set up. Saying it was “work" so far . Grandpa is the best support you had. And it was driving you crazy!
Today you had enough! You decide after puking for the third time and it’s only ten am! You had enough with Harringtons behavior So you left and headed too the new mall. You knew Steve worked today. Robin has been complaining about how moody Steve has been lately.
Getting too the mall. You headed straight too Scoops Ahoy too see Dustin your cousin pushing Steve into the back. Arriving too your destination seeing Robin calling out too Steve. He jumped out plastering a big smile on his face. All the anger disappeared seeing his pearly white. Seeing the boy you love standing there it made you burst into tears. Steve dashed toward you gripping your face tightly. “hey baby whats wrong? Are you okay?”
You just cried harder pushing Steve away. You ran away. Steve chased after you. You beeline too the women’s bathroom. Knowing Steve couldn’t follow you. However you didn’t expect Steve too barge in after you.
“baby what’s wrong? Is it the baby?”
You whipped your cheeks fast turning too Steve. “No! It’s you Steve! Your ignoring me! Flaking out! Your being a dick!”
Steve stepped forward. Looking at you, “its complicated y/n! This-this wasn’t the plan! You weren’t suppose too have my baby for another ten years! When I wasn’t working in a shitty job that makes me dressed like a fucking sailor!”
“Oh I’m Sorry! Well maybe If you didn’t sneak me out of my house and we didn’t go on top of that ridiculous stupid Hill! We wouldn’t of slept together under the moonlight! And I wouldn’t be pregnant! I had plans too! But we can’t change the fact it happened!! This is happening Steve! “
“HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SUPPORT YOU AND THE BABY! I MAKE THREE FUCKING DOLLARS A HOUR!”
Steve kicked the garage can hard making it move across the bathroom. It made you Yelp . Steve instantly apologize. Taking a deep breath in.
“it’s humiliating Y/N… god this whole thing.. sucks.!”
Looking at this Steve reminded you of Steve from high school before Nancy. The Steve who was Mr. cool and a dick.. the Steve who you hated! Who wouldn't say anything but let his dick friends mock you as you walked passed. The Steve who was a dick!!
“Who said you were in this alone Harrington?”
That caught him by surprise. You haven’t called him “Harrington” since English when he was trying too charm his way too get the answers from you about a book he was supposed too read. Tears streamed down your face as you snapped. “if your so embarrassed about having a baby with me! Forget it! I don’t need you involved Harrington!”
You ran passed him this time Steve let you run away mainly because he felt like you just kicked him right in the heart. After work Steve went too your house. With Rose’s. Too only see Dustin coming out of the house.
“Y/N isn’t here man. My aunt kicked her out.”
The moment Dustin said it. Steve remember you mentioned that too him he groaned rubbing his face. “ shit-where does your grandpa live?”
Dustin offered too take Steve. They drove too a large house seeing Dustin and your grandfather sitting on the porch. With some ice cold lemonade. He spotted the flowers and Knew Steve was Steve.
“Y/N isn’t here- some curly hair fellow took her too the movies"
Steve cursed knowing who would do that. Billy! He bolted back into his car as Dustin followed. They hurried too the Mall. Searching for you and Billy. With No luck.
For a week nothing. You just disappeared. The police figured you ran off. Dustin tried distracting Steve with decoding a Russian secret message. When they figured out the message. And stumbled into the Russian base, too be captured.
You were sitting in a chair unchained, thanks to your grandparents you knew a Tad bit of Russian enough too say you were pregnant. Some of the guards treated you better then others. It was your ears that got you in this mess! You went too the movies with Nancy and Jonathan. You heard the Russians talking about a secret base and you ended up following them. Mainly because you couldn't believe what you heard! "Secret base" could easily mean "scoops ahoy!"Your Russian was Rusty.. apparently not that rusty since you got captured.
A week passed, of being in the room and being questioned over and over. When the doors opened you jumped high too see two similar faces Robin and Steve were thrown into the room. Steve’s eyes grew large seeing you. Steve scrambled over too you hugging you tightly. You hugged him back tightly digging your head into his shoulder as you both started crying. Steve pulling back cupping your face tightly as he quickly touched down too your stomach touching it softly . “ Are you and the baby okay?”
Nodding your head fast he reached over squeezing you tightly. ‘God. I thought you ran off!”
Steve pulled you into a hard kiss. Before wrapping his arms around you again. Holding him tightly you rested your head on his shoulder soaking in his scent you never thought you would see him again. “I went too the movies with-"
“Billy I know he’s MIA everyone thought you ran off with him.” Robin spoke up you forgot she was in the room as you shook your head. “with Billy? No! I went with Nancy and Jonathan! I overheard some Russians talking about a secret base so I followed them.”
Steve rubbed his face hearing how reckless you were. He couldn’t help but snap “what the hell Y/N! Your pregnant !!! you cant be doing stuff like this!”
You wanted too snap at him . But his tears rolling down his face. Stopped you. Hearing a banging you all jumped ass Steve leaped in front ready too attack anyone who enters. Non of you expected it too be your kid cousin. You never been more happier too see Dustin in your life! Following your cousin and he’s best friend kid sister you couldn’t help but smile at their bickering it reminded you of you and Steve in the beginning of your relationship. Getting up too the top of the mall. You noticed someone with a ice cream cone. A chocolate ice cream with sprinkles. You stopped in your tracks as everyone ran off. You walked too the ice cream scoop. Steve turned around looking around for you. Catching you walking into the scoop Ahoy he bolted too you grabbing your arm.
“Baby what you doing?”
Looking at Steve you rubbed your stomach. “I’m hungry and I need a ice cream cone .”
Hero rubbed his face. Steve snapped. “We have Russians after us! I’ll get you a ice cream cone later!” Steve dragged you out. Catching up with the group. A wave of anger rushed over you. It wasn’t a simple craving. You could substitute a normal craving. This was a Need. People needed oxygen, water too survive. In your mind you were convinced you wouldn’t survive without a chocolate ice cream cone. It was all Steve fault! He denied you your ice cream cone.
“Steve.”
Getting into a movie theater too hide he turned looked worried .”yea babe?”
“Later.. when were safe and not in Danger I need you too do something for me.”
“Anything! Baby whatever you need”
You dig your nails into his lap as you spoke calmly. “get me a chocolate ice cream cone with sprinkles!”
“Ow! Okay! OKAY! OW BABE THAT HURTS!”
You freed his leg grabbing his hand again reaching over kissing his cheek.

The family visit
AN: About the request. Reader and Joe visit her family for the first time. She has a nephew and hopes he will like Joe. Nephew gets jealous and doesn’t like Joe but reader explains she’s helped raise her nephew since he was an infant and always looked to his aunt as a mother figure. Joe comes home from meetings, he gathers the mail from the table and looks through them. He sees an envelope with little kid writing and knew there was a letter inside. A smile forms on his face and begins searching for you throughout the house.
“Hey, have you looked through the mail?” Joe asks as he enters the office the both of you share
“Hey, I didnt hear you come in. No I didnt. I just checked the mail and left them on the table” you reply as you get up from the chair and give him a kiss.
“Well you have mail from a very adorable admirer” he says as he hands you the envelope
You knew it would be from your nephew, ever since his dad taught him how to write and telling how the mail works. Your nephew started writing you letters, made you drawings he did at school and every mail day you would always hang up his work on the wall in the office. Or would hang them on the fridge or even the bedroom the both of you share.
“Dear aunty
Its me Freddie. How are you? Im fine, today at school the teacher took us on a field trip to the museum and we saw dinosaur bones. The T-Rex is so huge, you should see them. For Christmas I want dinosaur toys.
Daddy tells me you have a boyfriend now and live with him. Aunty thats gross. I cant even touch girls because they have cooties. Well not you because you’re aunty and I love you. And I miss you, lots.
When are you going to come and visit me?
I better go, daddy is calling me for dinner.
I love you and I miss you

Freddie”
He sent you another drawing from his field trip to the museum. You loved him for sending you these and miss him a lot more now.
You finally decided to make a visit back home and finally introduce Joe to your nephew. Well finally introduce him to your family now.
“Joe?” you yell from the office in hopes he will hear you from where ever he is in the house
“Yeah?” you hear him coming up the stairs and peek his head into the office
“How do you feel about making a trip to meet my family?” you looking to the man you love
“Its about time you ask me to meet your family. I mean you’ve met mine and I have always wanted to meet this little admirer thats been sending you all these letters and amazing drawings” he replies with a wide smile to his face.
“What drawing did he send you this time?” he asks looking to the desk
“He sent me a drawing from his field trip to the museum and his favourite part was the dinosaur exhibit” you reply with a smile on your face.
You get up from the desk and walked towards Joe.
“Ooh dinosaurs, that was always my favourite too” he says as he winks at you
As the days go by the both of you get ready to head back to your home town and finally make a visit. Joe goes out of his way to find toys that your nephew will love and even got him the Jurassic Park movie.
“Are you all packed up and ready to go?” Joe asks as he enters the bedroom
“I am just about done, Im just making sure I dont forget anything” you reply while looking around the room and bathroom.
When you are done packing, Joe begins to load the cab with your luggage and his. The ride to the airport was nerve racking enough. Scratch that, the plane ride was nerve racking.
You hoped and prayed your family would love Joe. Most importantly, you hoped your nephew would love him or even like him.
“Why so tense babe?” Joe asks while entwining both of you hands together
“Im nervous because I am really hoping and praying my family will love you. Most importantly, I am hoping my nephew will like you” you reply while squeezing his hand
“Thats what I am hoping for as well but I think they will” Joe says while giving you a kiss to the forehead.
When landing at the airport, you see your dad near by luggage pick up and a big smile forms on your face. You run to him and give him a big hug.
“Dad, I missed you” you say as he twirls you around
“Missed you too” he replies while still hugging you
“Dad, I want you to meet someone” you say while looking behind you
“Dad this is Joe my boyfriend. Joe this is my dad, David” you introduce the two
Your dad has a smile on his face and brings out his hand to shake Joe’s hand
“Nice to finally meet you” your dad replies while pulling him in for a hug
“Its nice to finally meet you too” Joe replies as he pulls away from the hug
“C’mon lets get you kids back to the house and rest. The truck is this way” your dad says and leads you to where he is parked
The rest of the ride home was Joe and your dad talking and getting to know each other. You sat in the back while you gave Joe the front seat.
As the days go by, you spend your time at your parents place and they love Joe. Now the biggest test was your nephew. He was away on vacation with his dad and you knew he is going to come back with great stories.
Ever since being back, he couldnt wait to finally see his aunty. His most favourite person in the world.
“DAD CAN YOU DRIVE FASTER!!!” Freddie yells from his booster seat in the back seat.
“I cant go any faster bud and no worries your aunty will still be at grandma’s house” your brother Jensen says turning into the street your parents live on
“Ooh I see them” you squeal in delight looking from the window
You go running out the door and meet them at the drive way. Your brother puts the car in park and Freddie takes his seat belt off and rushes to you.
“AUNTY!!!!” Freddie yells running into your arms
“Baby I missed you so much. Finally get to have you in my arms” you say while trying to hold back the tears.
It was hard leaving home for work, hard for you to leave your nephew because you helped raise him while your brother worked.
You pulled yourself away from your nephew to get up and hug your brother
“Its so good to see you, finally” you say while hugging him
“Me too. Welcome home” he replies
“Lets head in because I want the both of you to meet someone special” you say while looking to your brother and nephew
“More special than me” Freddie says while never letting go of your hand.
“No one can ever be as special as you are” you say while getting into the house
“Ouch” Joe jokingly says as he has his hand to his heart
“Jensen, Freddie. This is Joe my boyfriend. Joe this is my brother Jensen and my very special nephew Freddie” you introduce them finally
Joe and Jensen share hand shakes and hugs
“Its finally good to meet you man. After three years, why did it take so long to meet you anyway?” your brother asks looking to the both of you.
Your nephew is weary of Joe and stays away from him and continues sitting with you.
“I know thats what I said too. Finally get to meet you all and I always wondered where this beautiful person came from and now I know” Joe replies as he continues talking to your brother.
Your family warm up to Joe and love him. They really love him and you were happy they love him. Now it was your nephew who needed to open up to Joe
“Hey Freddie, I have something for you. Someone tells me you really like dinosaurs” Joe says as he gets up and walks up the stairs to the room you both share.
“What is it?” he asks looking to you.
“I dont know kiddo, lets see what he has for you” you reply while shrugging your shoulders
“You didnt need to get him a gift, he already has enough toys at home” your brother says while Joe comes back into the living room
“When y/n told me Freddie is interested in dinosaurs I had to get something” he says while handing Freddie the gift bag
Freddie didnt take the bag from Joe, he took one look to the bag and walked away from the living room and went walking up the stairs.
“Freddie” your brother says as he watches him walk away
“I’ll go talk to him” your brother continues as he gets from the couch and walked up the stairs as well.
All evening Freddie has avoided any eye contact with Joe, avoided any type of conversation with him and always moved to another seating spot when Joe got closer.
“Dont take it too personal, he just needs to get more used of you” you say while taking Joe’s hand in yours.
“There is something you need to understand about Freddie. His mom abandoned him when he was just a few months old and Jensen has been a single parent ever since” your mom says while placing her hand on Joe’s shoulder.
“Since then y/n has stepped in and took on the mother role for Freddie. She helped raise him, got him the things he needed and did everything a mother would do for her child” your dad adds
“Y/n basically put a hold on her life to help her brother raise Freddie” your mom says as she reaches for her tea
“Ever since then I have never been so grateful to have a sister like y/n. She has done so much to help me, she babysat while I went to work as a construction worker and when I was done working. She found work and worked for a while” your brother adds as he comes back down the stairs and into the living room
He came back down with Freddie. You notice him walking closer to Joe and looking shy as ever.
“Im Freddie, whats your name?” Freddie asks putting out his hand for a hand shake
“Hi Freddie. Im Joe” Joe replies with a smile
Joe opens the bag for Freddie and begins telling him about the items. Joe also mentioned about the Jurassic Park movie and told Freddie he is in that movie back when he was a little kid.
They bonded over dinosaurs and even played with Freddie’s dinosaur set.
As you looked to your boyfriend and nephew, you know he is warming up to Joe and you knew he is beginning to like him.
When they were done playing and it was time for Freddie to go back home, he stopped to give you a hug and a kiss.
“Good night aunty. I love you. By the way I really like your boyfriend, hes cool” Freddie says as he gives you a kiss to the cheek.
“Joe, it was nice meeting you and hope you will come to visit more often” your brother says as he gives him a hug
“It was really nice meeting you to and great to know how much Freddie means to y/n” he says as he pulls away from the hug.
“Good night uncle Joe” Freddie says as he comes running to him and gives him a hug.
His heart warms up at the name and gives him a big hug
“I think someone is warming up to someone” you say while wrapping your arm around his waist
“I think someone is and I am really happy about it” Joe says as he wraps his arm across your waist
Joe couldnt believe you have put so much on hold to help your brother raise your nephew. It gave him a glimpse on how of a good mother you will be to your future children with Joe. How he loved the idea of having a family with you. What better person to mother his children in you. He wouldnt want anyone else but you.
You were happy how much your family loved Joe and how they wanted him to make a visit more often. You loved how Joe interacted with your parents and how he got along with your brother. Most importantly, you love how Freddie warmed up to Joe and how much he has liked Joe.
It was a perfect family visit and was perfect all together.

Scorpion Season 2
Here we go season 2 and my personal favourite season.....
2.01 - there has been a break between episodes supposedly over the summer whilst Walter recuperate, Paige tries to improve the office, Cabe is working on a film, Sly tried to evolve, Tony was outdoors and Happy developed a paint gun
The question is have Happy and Toby been spending their time together they walk into the garage together??
No fratanisation at work...... but that doesn't mean out of work? Happy's look to Toby makes me think they see each other a lot out of work
Notice how each time they say no fratanisation 'at work' is always added
I love the way Toby's tone of voice changes when he is taling just to Happy or caring for her
Last scene they are off to Kavalskis together
Favourite quote- 'what do you see' 'a rare and delightful fungus' - this is a very Happy type compliment definitely there are still feelings there but she is still torn between wanting to move on with him and wanting to remain friends
Favourite scene- Toby taking care of Happy and her eye, his hand casually placed on her leg she once hated any form of contact now she didnt even flinch
2 02 - poor Toby obviously feeling the frustrations of being sidelined by Happy so he directs is attention onto poor Sly
The look Toby gives Happy when she said Orphanages suck a look of pure luck and he could help heal her wounds
First time Toby uses the nickname 'Hap' also the only person who calls her this
I love Dr Toby seeing him use his skills either medically or behavioral is when his character shines
Favourite quote- it's like jumping off a really high diving board going 100 miles an hour, exposure therapy
Favourite scene- not my favourite scene but definitely the cheesest was paige coming out the sea slow motion and Walter's face pure cheese
2.03 - this episode doesn't have much Quintis in it but I love Sly having an episode revolving around him he overcomes some fears and opens up to Megan
Ray is a very funny character 'the right way, the wrong way and the Ray way'
Poor Toby overhearing Happy's conversation thinking she is moving on meeting someone at a club he looks so hurt and Happy looks regretful that Toby overhead
How does Toby know Happy doesn't like to dance? Maybe suggested they go dancing together?? Happy's face when Toby actual fights back a bit at her half impressed half annoyed
Chet turning up at the end broke Toby's heart he needed to release some tension. Happy wanted him out of the garage so the team wouldn't know what they meet at the club to do
Favourite quote- Slyvester you and I are about to have a very uncomfortable conversation
Favourite scene- Toby talking g to Sly over the comms picking a fight in the jail yard
2.04 - Happy coming in with Chet either Happy is clueless on what effect this has on Toby or she is trying to make him jealous either way Happy is doing wrong this time
Starting to get some humour from Happy..... I wonder why!
I feel this is one of the first turning point episodes for Happy starting to acknowledge she doesn't need to be alone and there are people especially Toby who will stick with her and support her
Toby is so worried about Happy during this episode he even admits his love to her dad - good advice from him to let her come to him
Happy wants the list to go to Toby none of the others a subconscious decision that proves she relies on Toby
Happy acknowledges she is in denial!
The look she gives Toby over her dads shoulder what do you think she is thinking?
Favourite scene- Toby giving Happy the dolls house, he just wants to spend time with her even if friends
Favourite quote- I am surrounded by Robots!
2.05 - such a fun episode off set with the seriousness of Sly and Megan
Toby looks hot boxing 🔥🔥
Toby giving Happy a gift then saying there just friends - someone is in denial
Toby only worrying about Happy being in danger how does she not pick up on this?
Plus the minute she says she's stuck Toby is out the van to rescue her
Notice how they play dumb about knowing anything about Superfun guy yet in season 1 when Sly was in hospital they all sat and read the comics!
Toby saying no to hanging out with Happy must have been so hard for him but he obviously is feeling too much hurt not being with her but did she overhear him saying he was done with her, she wasn't far away, how would she have felt?
Question is the orange van the same as in the Cuba episode and the episode with Mya Hernandez??
Happy looks so impressed with Toby when he punches the guy, think she likes that he can be tough when needed
Favourite quote- with great responsibility comes great wedgie or dear diary it finally happened
Favourite scene- seeing the team dressed up nice to see the comedy side of the show
2.06 - part 1 of a double episode a really good episode showing Walter being taken advantage of and the guys all in danager
Toby trying the show his independence from Happy but taking it too far they work better together.
Toby looking fine in a suit!
Favourite quote- I kicked that habit cold Turkey, I need Happy like i need necrotizing fasciitis
Favourite scene- Happy creating a speaker and using it to put out a fire great mechanical engineering
2.07 Part 2 - Happy put her life in danger for the greater good in the sub but when Toby was in danger in the server room nothing else mattered but rescuing him
Toby will never know how much she fought to get him out
The look of pure fear and worry about Toby dying was excellent acting and showed such emotion and perhaps made her reevaluate her relationship with Toby
Happy was quite hostile towards Toby when he thanked her why was that? I think it was a defense mechanism he shield going up because she was scared to loose him
Favourite quote- with the clarity of one just risen from the dead, you're being a grade A tool
Except you cant unring a bell - Toby knows he cant easily get over his feekings
Favourite scene- Happy trying to get Toby out of the server room this first real sign that she really does have deep feelings for Toby
2.08 - Toby in the boxing ring he is trying to toughen up the ond thing Happy is known for iz being tough
Happy at the comedy club trying to be funny the one thing Toby is known for
I think there interests are a way to become closer to each other and understand each other
Mighty love oak - Toby finally realised if anything is going to happen he needs Happy to make the first move he has been as open as he can she needs to make the decision herself to get into a relationship with him
Favourite scene- Happy at the comedy club Slys reactions were so much funnier then the joles
favourite quote- this is nuttier then squirrel poop
Yes I know I drive crazy, just give me the keys
Suicidal genius says what now
2.09 - very sad to see the decline in Megan and what Sly is dealing with. How Walter deals with it is unfair to them both and quite selfish although I appreciate everyone handles these situations differently
Happy and Toby support Toby the only way they know bh giving him money.
Happy and Toby seem in sync in this episode just good friends with a deep connection
Toby is focusing his energy in predicting the future possibly to keep him distracted from Happy
In previous episode Toby has been seen with smart phones why all of a sudden is his phone old??
Favourite quote- dental hygiene is beautiful
Favourite scene- no real favourite scene but I do enjoy this episode the team hring scared of the unknown is hilarious
2.10 first time I watched this episode I was hooked and confused and loved the twist of Scorpion playing on Cromwell
Happy and Toby stood next to each other again mimicking each others postures
Walter finally accepting Megan's condition and her relationship with Sly is a heart warming moment and one of the few moments I like Walter
Favourite quote- are we heading to England for a spot of tea
Favourite scene- the team relaying how they duped Cromwell
2 11 - a really sad but beautiful episode with a touch of humour at the right times
Toby shines in this episode with his medical ability
Toby's face when Happy collapses and the lady is in labour his heart wants him to ho to Happy but he knows he must deliver a baby.
I would like to know what Happy thinks when she wakes and sees Toby?
Such a heart breaking scene 💔
Notice how Toby instinctively stays by Happy in the garage providing emotional support
Happy doesn't deal well with the situation so excuses herself to make the drinks
Favourite quote- i have super powers, I am bacteria man
Am I seriously the only doctor in the house
Favourite scene- the end scene with Megan's video and the team gathering to hear Walter's story a beautiful end to a touching storyline
2.12 - really liked this episode finally Happy giving into her feelings for Toby plus seeing them all dealing with their own issues from college gave some of the funniest moments of the season
Seeing cabe trying to talk wrestling was hilarious
She also admitted Toby was cute!
What Mavis said to Happy got her thinking she needs to let her shield down if she wants a Toby/ a family
Meeting Quincy Berkstead I don't think Toby's issue is him stealing Amy away it's a reminder of what a bad place he was back then and that Quincy was a better person than he seemed to be. Quincy said some things which hit close to home. Let's remember Toby is a doctor Quincy is just a psychologist!
Favourite quote- you were cute, what happened
Favourite scene- Happy and Toby dancing this showed real feelings from Happy she wanted to.do something nice for him when he obviously felt so down. I imagine that they all heard what Quincy said to Toby she she knows how it would of effected him
2.13 - quite possibly my favourite episode of the season maybe all 4 seasons
Happy seems uncharacteristically happy at the beginning embracing Christmas or looking forward to a possible future with Toby
Walter talking to himself, Megan's ashes in his car - Toby has his work cut out for him this episode
Sly talking about his love for Megan and not wasting time really gave Happy something to think about
Grandma got ran over by a reindeer! Supposedly some or all of this wasnt scripted just shows how amazing the actors are
The pure panic from Toby when Happy gets pulled under water shows his love and then change in his voice when talking to her is a beautiful moment
Favourite quote- at least we got a doctor in the house, who has 2 thumbs and rocked his GI rotation
'Quality kiss doc, good work' ' now that was a Christmas miracle
Favourite scene- the kiss! Need I say more you can even hear Happy hum during the kiss perfect chemistry
Toby waited so patiently and it paid off Happy came to him and initiated the next step
2.14 - perfect Quintis episode
Toby full of new year spirit wonder why??
Happy is also uncharacteristically Happy perhaps thet both had a good new year together.......
Happy trying to change be more positive maybe to help in a relationship with Toby, so much to surmise in this episode
The look happy gives Toby when he asks to make out is not a never gonna happen but a not now later look
Notice how when Happy is separated she repeatedly calls for Toby. Instinctively that's who she knows will rescue her
Toby is never seen as the brave one but when happy is in danger he is willing to risk his life
Near death has changed the dynamic between them. Happys dad points out she needs to find her Happy- then looks longingly at Toby
Question what everyone wants to know is what happens in the tent!
Favourite quote- who are you and what have you done with unhappy quinn
Favourite scene- Toby admitting he never thought he could die being so lucky with Happy in his arms
Such an honest and emotional scene excellent acting by #EddieKayeThomas
2.15 - poor Toby not feeling well love the thought of happy quickly scribbling down instructions for Ralph on how to look after Toby. Starting to show her feelings more openly
Paige and Walter singing was actually really good
Favourite quote- this is what I get for trying to help Walter date, influenza
Favourite scene- truth is I'm falling for the guy - finally Happy admits it then if only to Ralph - I do think Toby here her and probably calls her out on it later
2.16 - poor Walter trying to do something normal and it all goes to pot!
Toby and Happy going to Kavalskis under the pretense of taking the dish back..... sounds like a date to me that they dont want the others to know about, one of many over the course if the last few episodes I think
Favourite quote- that was a compliment knucklehead lob a little ear candy at her
You got sent to the senior section of speed dating and now your trying to Benjimen your Button
Holy ball boomerang Mericks back
I might only be a psychiatrist but they taught me at med school blowing people up is bad
Toby is on fire in this episode with his one liners - I wonder if all these jokes and sarcasm is because he is finally happy with Happy
Favourite scene- no favourite scene in this not much Quintis action but Toby was in fire in this episode great behaviourist skills and jokes
2 17 - love seeing the dynamic between Walter and Toby in this episode, seeing them in therapy is funny
Toby is definitely the more antagonist one is this episode he says its because he is happy with Happy I think he hates keeping secrets from his best friend and so he is distancing himself
Happy starting to side with Toby shows character growth
On a separate note I love Sly and Ralph's relationship in this episode they are a great duo
Favourite quote- hands at 10 and 2, check, seatbelt on, check, eyes firmly on the ramp in front of you, check, dont tell your mother, check
Favourite scene- the end scene Happy and Toby together at Toby's home confirmation the are together how long has this been going on is the question we all want to know
2.18 - Quintis is announced!
Walter being so upset is a bit strange surly he should be happy for his friends- maybe he's jealous he doesn't have what they have or maybe he is hiding something else........
Comparing to quintis to brangelina maybe not such a good comparison
Walter punishing Toby by making him stay behind is petty and not the first time he has tried
Toby is obviously very excited about his new relationship but suffocating Happy slightly
Walter giving them the ultimatum is uncalled for and Toby is not happy with him
First time we discover Happy's fear of blood, seeing Happy slightly off kilter and Toby supporting her is nice to see
Happy looks do happy when Toby says he is proud of her
Toby using his tone of voice he only uses with Happy, this is his caring soft voice
Oh Toby tracking Happys phone not a good idea I get why he did it and I think she does but not a wise move without talking it over first! I like how they experience normal bumps in the road in their relationship
Happy standing up to Walter was a big step and an important moment in showing she is all in and she looks so Happy when Walter says its ok
Favourite quote- for a million reasons the answer to that question is yes but believing in you the most incredible person I've ever know, no that does not make me crazy. You hear my voice now you hear how calm it is......
Favourite scene- Toby talking Happy through medical procedure
2.19 - Gambling addiction is a very sensitive topic which needs to be dealt with correctly
It is always alluded to Toby being addicted we are lead to believe over the past few years largely thanks to Happy it has gotten better but is obviously an issue for Happy
I dont buy that he gambles more cause he is happy but I'm no addication specialist
I think this shows real growth with Happy 1 year ago she would of just called it quits but now she raises her concerns which are genuine due to her childhood and Toby agrees to give up gambling for her - now that is true love
I feel Toby needed to hear this from Happy he had cut back a lot but the risk of losing Happy is too high and he knows he needs to stop
I think they really played into the gambling references this episode when usually it gets one or 2 mentions if that!

2.20 - playful team is nice to see makes a pleasant change!

2.21 - so we meet interloper Tim, going to he controversial now but I quite like him.as a character!
Toby doing dares as a way dealing with giving up gambling - Happy should be supporting him not belittling him after all he gave it up for her
Toby compliments Happy and gets told off for doing it st work 1. He is allowed to shower her love and compliments at home 2. She turns her face and smiles secretly likes the compliment
Toby marking his territory with Happy when Tim talks to her its shows his jealous side
Happy chastise Toby for truth or dare he says he still needs to adrenaline rush so she kissee him and compares the adrenaline from the kiss to the gambling adrenaline. This shows how she must feel when she kisses him and is encouraging him to lean on her when he feels the need for the rush
I've also noticed that most kisses on screen she goes to him he also doesn't speak after the kiss until she does - shows he is learning from their first kiss

2.22 - this is a good episode considering it lacks in quintis moments - something which highlights the difficulties in gaining closure with missing military personnel
Oh no Toby lost his hat, I hope this isnt the one Happy bought him hopefully he keeps that safe at home!
Toby asking Happy if something were to happen to him would she move on, Happy saying no she wouldn't just shows her love for him.
Also theoretical marriage proposal and Toby asking Happy to think about it..... could a ring be on the cards although Happy's face is not convinced scares or hiding something

2.23 - not many quintis moments in this episode I start to look for the small moments in the background the looks std justices telling as the big scenes
Happy and Paige both outting Toby in his place when he makes a joke is funny
Funny how this time Happy doesn't have an issue with Toby crawling behind her in the tunnel
Toby has his arm around Happys shoulders swoon...
Happy puts her arm around Toby when they celebrate its these small things which show the couples development
Walter may diss Toby's skills but he does value and listen to them

2.25 - there is so much about this episode to write about from the kidnapping to the marriage proposal to the rejection.........
Happy comes in thinking the worst of Toby is he gambling lovd the fact she references the fact they text and meet outside of work - obviously they do but it's never referenced
The minute she hears Collins escapes she knows Toby is in danger and is worried
What is Sly hiding Happy knows he is and isn't Happy that Sly wont say anything
Seeing how worried Happy is, is a refreshing change from her normal closed off self. Her love for Toby really shows through in the episode
You can see Happy's frustrations Sly keeping a secret and Walter not giving up his researched
Happy's face when she thinks Toby is being electrocuted, she looks in pain telling Collins to stop the fear in her voice must be reassuring for Toby to know how much she loves him
Happy face when Collins outs the proposal, she blames herself for Toby getting snatched whilst picking up the phone, is there another feeling there aswell???
When Toby talks to Happy there is so much emotion in his voice saying goodbye, he uses that soft tone he saves just for Happy
Happy risking her life to save Toby shows her commitment to him
The first time I heard the proposal song I thought it was so cheesy but the more I watched the episode the more I realise it was perfectly Toby
Happy face when Toby is singing and proposing is the first sign of any guilt we have seen from her. She is obviously distraught that she has to say no and admit she is married to someone else. Utter heartbreaking scenes acted out superbly
Happy actually had tears in her eyes she must of been so devastated to have to had said no
Toby has never lost his ability to smile or joke but he looks completely heartbroken not only to have had his proposal turned down but to also find out the lovd of his life is already married. So much so he doesn't want to talk to anyone just hit the bottle.

Season overview - Sly has dealt with alot this season falling in love and then losing Megan he is now trying to look forward still keeping his love for Superfun Guy
Walter has had a few good moments this season mostly with Megan and he seems to deal well with kids. He is still obnoxious and struggles to communicate with people and says the wrong thing
I don't like the say Paige is going she is losing the qualities she was known for at the beginning kindness, compassion. I do like her relationship with Tim
Quintis- the start of the season started with them trying to get back to being friends and they had a few moments early on and then Happy merry Chet which made Toby jealous and he eventually realised that he needed to wait for Happy to come to him. A string of events finally broke down Happy's walls starting with her thinking Toby was going to die then Megan passed away, she met Mavis who encouraged her to lower her shield. Sly then told her to life in the moment and she finally kissed Toby from then things moved quickly secretly at first then in public before Toby gets kidnapped, proposes to Happy, gets rejected and finds out she's already married.
Questions are who is Happy married too?
Why didnt she tell Toby before? I think because she didnt want to ruin what they have and was scared to tell him and the more time passed the harder it got
How is Toby going to deal with this news?
Season 3 will certainly be interesting.......

Game of Thrones – A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 8x02 episode analysis (kind of)
…or the episode we should have gotten last week.
And we’re back! I am not here to shit on last week’s episode I actually enjoyed it very much, if you just take it for what it was, but! I cannot help but remark how much better episode 2 has been to us… the writing was very very good and rich, and in character, and it finally feels like GoT and… I honestly don’t know what happened in episode 1. But moving on…
As you can already tell, this is going to my personal summary, thoughts and analysis of episode 02 of season 8. Going to put it all under a cut – spoilers, you have been warned.

Listen I am not calling this a trial, because it is not. Yes I know they call it a trial in the BTS and Inside the episode.
Dany’s speech about Jaime’s deeds against House Targaryen is very good. As I have mentioned in my preview analysis, this is the first time (third time is a charm ha) that Jaime and Dany speak to one another. She doesn’t know this man. This man tried to kill her and he killed her father.
I got right half of the stuff at least, for what it’s worth. Tyrion looks soooo sooo bad. LIKE YOU KNEW YOUR SISTER? Oh the glare!!! If looks could kill, Tyrion would be dust. LiStEn, Tyrion, honey. Sit down. Jeez, read the room, you are not making it better. Dany is right - why should she trust this man? And Sansa is right there with her… until Brienne speaks.
Gwen called Brienne’s speech something “almost like a declaration of love” and I think that is so beautiful it hurts. Not a Braime fan, but hey you got fed fam, I am happy for you! I already mentioned in my live blogging that it was either incoherent or just plain retcon to forget that Sansa sent Brienne to KL because she thought Brienne would kill her if it meant a showdown with Arya. But I digress.
I find it very interesting how Jaime didn’t apologise and his cojones to say so because “we were at war” - and I get it, my dude, Ser Hot Stuff, we all know all is fair in love and war, but I guess it would be ooc for him to apologise. Great delivery, I don’t particularly like NCW but this scene? Top notch. I rate it one doggy style fuck out of one, but so good your legs are wobbly and you can barely find the energy to plop on your bed afterwards.
The things we do for love… and Bran is back with the fucking shit stirring drama. We stan Bran Starkashian.
I find it interesting since this is also Dany’s chance to show how she rules - Lady Sansa says her opinion, which surprises Dany. Then she turns to Jon, who the entire time has been very very quiet. Like the kind of quiet you are when you have the biggest hangover and you are stuck in class and you just want it to be over with. So Jon says what he could say to get the fuck out of there. “We need every man we can get.” So Jaime is given his sword back after Grey Worm literally gives him the I AM WATCHING YOU BITCH glare.
But Jon’s chair is not facing forward, it is slightly oriented towards Dany’s. Notice how he doesn’t look at her, even when she addresses him directly. She gets up and everyone does so afterwards FINALLY SOME FUCKING RESPECT and she turns to Jon… and he doesn’t even look at her… and my baby looks heartbroken because he just ignores her *coughs* As soon as the meeting ended, he rushed out, not giving her a chance to say a word. *coughs*
In defence of Jon… Know what, we’ll talk about Jon later, when we get to the reveal.
Oh and Bran totes doesn’t care about Jaime enough to expose him in front of the entire Great Hall. Because ya know, he is a drama queen, but he keeps his cards close, he either already has a plan for Jaime or as he said, and as I have predicted from the preview, it serves no purpose to expose Jaime for what he did to Bran. Like just click on it and read it. Good that Bran called him out on his apology naaah bitch you don’t get to go holier than thou here. It is what it is.

Jaime and Tyrion’s conversation is very interesting, not only about Dany in general whether she is worthy or not, and Tyrion seems to be team Dany. Was it just me or Tyrion more like whispered the part where he talks about Cersei’s baby. Also also listen Jaime, unless you’re suddenly a gynaecologist how the fuck do you know she is not lying? I loved how Tyrion called Jaime out on the fact that he loved Cersei despite knowing full well what and who she was. Dude let’s call it what it was. Don’t play coy now.
Ding ding ding Tyrion mentions marching to KL and killing Cersei … and that’s all I am gonna say about it.
Jaime x Brienne wow this ship is getting so fed - enjoy babies ! And I loved how Brienne was suddenly WHY ARENT YOU INSULTING ME I DONT KNOW HOW TO INTERACT TO YOU !!!! Brienne is leading the left flank and Jaime wants to be led by her. Keep in mind for next week’s episode! I am so proud of my son Pod, I am basically proudmom!Brienne tbh.
The episode in which Dany gets a lot of counsel - because that’s also the type of ruler she is
Tyrion x Varys x Jorah vs Dany - Dany gives the best scolding ever tbh. Moms, take notes, because look at Tyrion’s face. He knows this Christmas when the NK comes he will only get coal. No whores and wine for Tyrion. He was naughty boy.
KHALESSI - Listen. I don’t like Jorah in the books, and my impression of show!Jorah has always been tainted by it. But this Jorah is redeemed and deserves to live I WILL RIOT IF HE DIES. The scene he has with Dany is one of my favourites because it just shows how much history they have together. I will sob if he dies because he is the only one left from S1E01 with her. Jorah tells her to forgive Tyrion and seek out S.ansa to smooth things over. MY BEAR
S.ansa x Daenerys - First time I thought it was going well, they were bonding… and then S.ansa leaned forward and the hand placing seemed a bit too deliberate to me, too Margaery. What I am trying to say is that it is very hard to know if S.ansa is being genuine. It is a very good scene and it holds a lot of importance later on, more on that when I talk about the reveal in the last scene (and I this is what I wanted from episode 1 - cold but courteous.)
S.ansa tells Dany Jon loves her and that “men do stupid things for the women they love, they’re easily manipulated” - which, fair point; she saw Cersei and Margaery do it. Buuuut she also had the counter-argument: she saw how Littlefinger manipulated her aunt. So it goes both ways, bby.

Tell me, who manipulated whom?” - I love how Dany turns the tables here, because she is right; if Dany was manipulating Jon, then how come she is the one here, fighting with all her men and resources and dragons? Who gains from this more? SEE S.ANSA IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE IF YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN-
FINALLY SOME GOOD FUCKING CONTENT.
Then S.ansa goes for that smile ugh and agaaaain I am having soooo much trouble taking it for genuine.

And then it goes to shite because S.ansa is now clearly drawing inspiration from Theresa fucking May since she has no fucking skills to bring up Brexit - is it Nexit? Dany retreating her hands tho - she feels played LIKE REALLY BITCH I WAS SPEAKING FROM MY HEART AND YOU WERE JUST BUYING TIME HERE.

That hug!!!! Wow I loved it!!! Sophie and Alfie killed it. Also watch Dany in the background - my baby!!! Do you know how hard it is being around people with big families when you’re… alone? It’s fucking depressing, and I just want to hug Dany and carry her to safety.
We got 3 Theonsa moments (and one was a Jonerys parallel so you know the romantic undertones are strong) in this episode soooo yeah! Enjoy! I am afraid they are setting Theon up to die, especially since it would be poetic cinema.jpeg for him to die defending Bran after he took WF from him.

Pod singing Jenny’s Song is tearing me apart and making me sob harder I FUCKING LOST IT AND I AM STILL GETTING CHILLS YALL THIS WAS FUN. SEEMS EVERYONE DIES. No, I jest. But I love how they paired up the couples for a tragic love song - Brienne x Jaime, Sam x Gilly, S.ansa x Theon, Arya x Gendry, Missandei x Greyworm, Jon x Dany. I wouldn’t look too much into the song choice tbh, since in Inside the episode they say they knew they wanted a song and they just picked this one and added more verses since it was incomplete. I know this is the second Summerhall reference, but ya know, I personally wouldn’t look too much into it. Edit: I should have never trusted D&D - now go read these amazing posts made by @tomakeitbeautifultolive in which she explains the song and the significance for Jonerys. Also Ramin Djawadi spoke about the song and fed our fandom just today (April 25th).
The War Council or let’s gather around Bran Starkashian so he can spill some tea on the NK
Plan sounds basic imo, not that I had expected much about that, but in Miguel we trust and we know he will absolutely crash this battle in episode 3.
Interesting how the casually dropped that apparently the NK’s goal is to destroy Bran. And the mention of the mark - so now basically Bran is chipped. Cool beans. Sam’s remark about “death is forgetting, being forgotten is very interesting. Memories don’t come from books, your stories aren’t just stories.” - interesting take here. I Sam writing the book about Jonerys? If so I am afraid he has A FUCKING BIAS OMG I AM GETTING HEATED AGAIN. Also my friend @iane-casey was totally annoyed how much screen time Sam got which honestly same dude I am still pissed at you *joins Jon to brood and glare at Sam*
Dany publicly makes a point in that she still needs Tyrion aka he is forgiven so that there is no bad blood between them.

FINALLY A MAP: listen, they are outnumbered as fuuuuck… besides that it is clear that Dany’s forces will get the most hit since they are in the vanguard, Birenne on the left with the Knights of the Vale and some Stark forces, on the right we get the rest of the North, and the Mormonts are inside the gates!
Jon walks on Dany a second time - Dany stops as the room clears out (Qhono and Jorah and Varys behind her), looks expectandly at Jon, he doesn’t look at her (MY BABY BOY HE LOOKS SO ROUGH DID HE EVEN SLEEP?), falters “Your Grace”, and bolts. She falters, her face is all WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING and she clears the room too. More on that at the end.
Gendrya or the OTP you did not know you need and why you fucking need it
First of all, this fandom is so pure. I loooooved all the Gendrya on my dash from episode 1 and then this episode I got flooded and I am here for it bitch. Give me all the feels.

Jonerys parentage reveal 2.0 or the reveal Jon also deserved not the travesty he got
I will do a play by play of the scene, but first. Why does Jon avoid Dany? Simple. He is hurting. Since we get the Jaime vs Bran stare down and then we get the Jaime trial, it is safe to assume that happens the morning after Sam blurted the truth to Jon about his mom and dad.
So at Jaime’s fake trial, Jon had what? A few hours at best to process everything - and by that I mean: Dany is his aunt; Ned lied to him his entire life (no matter the reason, Jon has been raised a certain way and to hear the man who was so honourable was capable of the biggest lie in the realm… das huge! so this is shocking his entire moral compass and belief system built upon the education his dad gave him); his dad actually loved his mom and married her so he is no longer a bastard - ya know aka the thing that affected his entire life and the thing he wanted most; his mom died giving birth to him and she managed to think of him in her last moments, enough to make Ned promise her he will take care of her son; the fact that if Robert even caught a whiff of it, he would have been dead. SO that is a LOT LOT.
Which explains why Jon was so out of it when he is asked about Jaime. Also explains why he bolts out of the room without looking at Dany - I think if he had even so much as looked at her he would have broken down. He isn’t ready for it.
Oh the stuff I mentioned he had to come to terms with? On top of all of it we must add the stress of finding a way of telling all of this to Dany in a way that he doesn’t hurt her. Also I bet your ass he thought there was a chance she may not believe him (he himself did not in the beginning)… and a chance she may think he wants the throne since Sam drilled this into his head so now he is afraid of that too.
So when Jon is in the war room he had what? around 12 hours in total since Sam told him? 15? 20? Do you think that’s enough? Because I don’t. But this time he is doing much better. So he is still not looking at Dany, but he addressed her “Your Grace” and leaves - which means he is already in a better place than where he was in the morning, but not quite there yet.
This is good angst. We should rejoice, it will hurt before it gets better.
Moving on. Why didn’t he just directly go to Dany? I honestly don’t think it’s in Jon’s character to seek out comfort. This is a kid who had no one to go to when he would hurt himself. That shit stays with you. You don’t just flip a switch and start seeking out your other half. No, in moments of stress the brain reverts to things it knows bets, to muscle memory and old habits; it uses the energy to overthink itself to death so ain’t nobody got time for that new behaviours shit. At this point jonerys have been together for how long? 3? 4 weeks? That’s not that much. They are used to each other, but not enough to break old habits and past traumas.
Now, the reveal:
Dany stops, silently asking permission before she approaches Jon. Poor bean must be a bit hurt that he avoided her twice, so better make sure he actually wants her company. Jon actually smiles at her, even if it is a sad smile. It kills me how he is just staring at him mom’s statue. KILLS ME. Only then, she approaches him (look at her face, brief relief!). She stops next to him, he turns to her and nods, and only THEN SHE EMBRACES HIS SIDE, HOLDING HIS HANDS, CHIN TO HIS SHOULDER.
“Who is that?”
“Lyanna Stark.” Jon eventually says
Dany looks a bit like oh… shit, again my family yikes… I would say she looks apologetic. “My brother Rhaegar, everyone told me he was decent and kind. He liked to sing. Gave money to poor children. And he raped her” - ok but this is big, because Dany just in S7 recognised her own rape… So no wonder her opinion on Rhaegar is not that good atm.
“He didn’t”
Dany looks shook, but she is still holding onto Jon. Notice how his hand is on hers?
“He loved her.”
She doesn’t interrupt. Jon almost looks like he is feeling brave, so he keeps her hand into his and turns to face her.
“They were married in secret. After Rhaegar fell on the Trident, she had a son. Robert would have murdered the baby if he ever found out and Lyanna knew it.”
Dany is surpised, but so far so good. Jon stares into her eyes.
“So the last thing she did as she bled to death on her birthing bed was give the boy to her brother” – camera on Emilia — oh shit for a split second it starts to show that she is putting two and two together – “Ned Stark” – her eyes widen and she blinks – “to raise as his bastard” – she exhales, breathing accelerates – “My name,” – breathing heavily on her part – “my real name” -- she looks incredulous and nods a smal no – “is Aegon Targaryen” – she blinks, exhales, puls away her hand and turn halfway away from Jon.
She looks away, then at him, he is almost leaning over her but still too far. “That’s impossible.”

“I wish it were.” (SEE THIS IS WHAT I AM SAYING MY POOR SON)
“Who told you this?”
“Bran. He was it.”
“He SAW it?” She sound clipped, the ARE YOU KIDDING ME tone clipped
“And Samwell confirmed it.”He read about their marriage at the CItadel” – camera on Emilia —”without even knowing what it meant” (OK BUT FUCK OFF SAM GILLY READ THAT) - Dany’s face her, she is clearly restraining herself because this sounds insane.
“A secret no one in the world knew, except your brother and your best friend, doesn’t seem strange to you?” she shakes her head and it breaks my heart how you can see the wheels turning in her head going fuck here we go again, I laid my heart bare and that’s it. Yet another betrayal.
Camera on Kit. He looks at her, takes a step forward “It’s true, Dany.” – camera on Emilia – “I know it is.” (UM HELLO DANY I AM HYPERVENTILATING BITCH)
Dany shakes her head, her face looks full with distrust. Then it goes to despair - her voice shaky “If it were true, it would make you the last male heir of the House Targaryen.” – camera on Kit HE FUCKING FROWNS LIKE WHAT – camera on Emilia – “You’d have a claim to the Iron Throne” – camera on Kit and his face goes again WHA—

Ok so the reveal to Dany - you better fucking take notes Sam cuz this is how you do a reveal: being calm, level headed, explaining to the person as much as you can, answering questions.
On Dany’s reaction: my friend @oadara said it so so well in this post here. So, building on that, we need to put her reaction in context, just like I did with Jon’s cold shoulder. Dany’s discussion with S.asnsa is fresh in her mind, not just the part about who is manipulating whom, and that must drive her nuts now, but also the part in which S.asnsa did a 180 on her just when she thought she was making progress, so feeling like she was being manipulated. One of course must start asking questions. Has Jon just found out? Has he always known? Did he seduce her to take her armies and her dragons her her throne?? Moreover, Dany specifically tells S.ansa that her only goal in life has been the Iron Throne. Imagine that - having one goal in life, and suddenly someone comes in and can just rip it all away from you, poof just like that, they just need to say the word. Moreover, males have preference… and so many would rather follow a male than a female. And that’s a fact.
Moreover… she still thinks herself barren…
Like I am not saying Dany suddenly hates Jon or will cast him away (ok maybe she will initially I have a prediction/theory I will explain in a different post). I am saying… JUST GIVE DANY TIME. She just found out and now she gotta go save everyone’s ass. Let the girl breathe.
I was asking myself but why would Jon tell her now? If he himself wishes she had never known? I think it may be a very Ned Stark thing - he genuinely thinks he will fall, and he wanted to tell her the truth, because Rhaegar Targaryen may be his dad but Ned Stark is his daddy.
