Unicorn Rider Mutation suggestions - Eyes

This could be for one or both eyes

Air

- whirlwind/twister that rages in the pupils

- electricity that surges out through the iris, like the firing of a synapse in the brain

- misty clouds/fog that floats out from the whites of the eyes, like dry ice sweeping across a floor

Earth

- usual eyelashes are no more as the green meadow's grass graces up and down with every blink

- mud leaks from the bottom of the eyes like drooping wet paint

- solid golden eyes that glint as the sun casts its own eye upon them

Fire

- burning ember eyes that flicker and dance despite any focused stare the rider gives

- black craggy eyes play background to the bright red magma that seeps through the thin jagged cracks of the iris

- wispy strands of smoke cling to the place where normal eyebrows once lived

Spirit

- translucent eyelids, where you're never truly sure if the rider is conscious

- eyelashes that intertwine regular with magical translucent follicles

- where there was once the black pupil of the eye is now a clear line of sight following the optic nerve

Water

- eyes that seem to contain the ocean itself, with waves that crash against eyelids

- bubbles caught in the eyes, all bunched up together like frogspawn

- water spills from the eye socket and runs down the cheeks of the rider: a constant waterfall companion

after ep 11 and the marriage contract reveal and seeing a lot of speculation that they are a god of anarchy (already v connected to figs character) i rewatched the scene between her and porter and zara talking about where she gets her powers from fig says about kristen (and cass) “she’s doubt, im rebellion, they go hand in hand” and brennan lays it on thickkk about fig pledging herself to rebellion would also make kristen (and cass) stronger !!!

Addam Velaryon and Daeron Targaryen as John Everett Millais' "A Huguenot, on St. Bartholomew's Day" by maiahee_

The artwork is meant to depict a pair of young lovers on opposing sides of a conflict. One of them attempts to have the other displayed as loyal to their side so that he may be spared from the ensuing massacre, but the lover has already chosen his own allegiance.

Artwork is based off my theory that Addam's secret conversation with Corlys was him asking for Daeron to be spared as he had not taken part in the war at the time, after which Corlys asked the same of Rhaenyra. Daeron later joins the war effort on the side of the Greens. Meanwhile, Addam was declared a traitor to the Blacks.

And Addam Velaryon, lately Addam of Hull, sought out the Sea Snake after the battle; what they spoke to each other even Mushroom does not say. [...] She would send envoys to Storm’s End and Casterly Rock, offering fair terms and pardons…after she had put an end to the usurper’s brothers, who were in the field against her. “Once they are dead, the rest will bend the knee. Slay their dragons, that I might mount their heads upon the walls of my throne room. Let men look upon them in the years to come, that they might know the cost of treason.” [...] Prince Daemon himself would take Caraxes to the Trident, together with the girl Nettles and Sheepstealer, to find Prince Aemond and Vhagar and put an end to them. Ulf White and Hard Hugh Hammer would fly to Tumbleton, some fifty leagues southwest of King’s Landing, the last leal stronghold between Lord Hightower and the city, to assist in the defense of the town and castle and destroy Prince Daeron and Tessarion. Do you think Kroot and other (melee loving) Auxiliaries get hyped up when they see an allied Fire Warrior kill something in CQC (and survive).

Like, they get hyped up, cheering the display, and invite that Fire Warrior to drinks later?

Older Auxilleries, Gue'vesa and Kroot particularly, swapping stories on the biggest thing they saw Fire Warriors kill at close quarters.

"I saw a Fire Warrior, her first battle, grab jagged flagpole and use it as a pike against a charging Ork."

i have, by no will of my own, become a Burn fan. and a burn/scarlet fan. not because they’d actually be good or healthy for each other, but because the idea of that dynamic- the idea of Scarlet already having been queen for ten years prior to oasis’s death, the idea of Burn immediately allying with a SkyWing queen after her sisters declared war, the idea of them being interwoven for twenty years whilst a war of succession raged on around them- is so GREAT

very much a midnight rant here, but man!!

I would LOVE to explore Burn’s relationship with Oasis too. The books imply (especially in TBN prologue & Six-Claws’ winglet) that Burn was her mother’s favorite. And the fact that Burn expanded an entire fucking palace to create a central memorial for her mother is so!!! Like she definitely had a fucked up relationship with Oasis. Like considering Oasis had been so obsessive over heirs and had been so afraid of her daughters it would be difficult for there to be any actual relationship in the SandWing Royal Family. But there was some kind of bond between Oasis and Burn, whether because Oasis didn’t truly fear Burn- not because Burn wasn’t a danger, but because Burn was honorable- or because she genuinely cared, just a little, about one of her daughters.

And the fact Scarlet was a queen during this! The thought that Scarlet and the SkyWings could have been minor allies in the years prior to Oasis’s death (which would make sense in the fact that Burn’s first ally was the Sky Kingdom, because she would be in the best position to utilize the Sand Kingdom’s original allies before the succession crisis)

like I can’t stop thinking about a twenty-one y/o Burn being her mother’s not-so-subtle chosen heir and attending diplomatic meetings and Scarlet, a fresh queen with such a dramatic flair, meeting.
