You’re a huge Swiftie and Logan is your boyfriend of 2 years. He surprised you with floor tickets to her show at MetLife Stadium. He even told you that he thought about suite tickets, but he knew you would want to be closer to the stage.

Y/N’s POV

“Today actually might be the best day of my life,” you say to your boyfriend, Logan. Logan kisses you on the cheek and says, “Actually, I think the best day is anywhere we’re together.” You laugh, spin in his arms to face you, and kiss him before saying, “I genuinely love you so much for the tickets to the Eras Tour and for dressing up with me.” He replies, “Of course baby. I’ll forever be the Heartbreak Prince to your Miss Americana although I will never break your heart.”

Cue your heart swooning at this man <3

You smile and say, “We’re going to look so good. Part of the whole reason I chose this outfit is because you are hot in suits.” He kisses you on the cheek saying, “Baby baby my ego is going through the roof. You are making me feel on top of the world right now and we’re not even married.”

He’s always mentioning marriage?!

You reply, “Fine… today is the best day of my life so far.” He kisses me on the cheek and asks, “Are you ready to go over?” You nod and watch as he pats his coat pockets three times before you head out of the hotel. Guess he didn't want to forget his wallet? lol, you can pay too...

Logan pays for one of those pedi cabs (bikes with carriages) to take you to the stadium. You still have to walk a lot to get to the line where you wait for the doors to open. You really don't mind walking, but sometimes Logan just likes to spend his money and treat you both to nice things. You and Logan just talk until you get to go in.

You meet people in line and as you make your way into the stadium. People compliment you and Logan’s outfits. You even trade friendship bracelets with people. You’re on top of the world. Truly nothing could make this day better.

You both get in line for merch where Logan tells you to buy anything and everything you want. You try not to go too crazy, but Taylor Swift is your favorite artist. It’s hard not to want to buy everything there. Haha!!! Logan even buys a shirt for himself.

You then go grab food and drinks to enjoy during the openers/before the openers even start.

Gayle opens and is amazing. You scream “abcefu” so loud!!!!

Phoebe Bridgers is up next and you nearly cry seeing her. She is stunning live.

Logan runs to the bathroom and you wait for it to start. He returns and you take some more photos together.

The countdown begins and you scream your heart out!!!!!!!!! This is the dream!!!!! THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE!!!!1

Taylor Swift comes out in a new Lover outfit and she's stunning.

YOU SCREAM THE LYRICS ALL LOVER SET!!!!!!!!! Logan sings along to Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince, obviously. But, he also knows Cruel Summer and Lover.

Fearless era starts and you notice Logan looking at you nervously. You lean over to him and ask, "Are you okay?" He nods and kisses your cheek.

You sing You Belong With Me to Logan and he keeps kissing your hand.

Love Story starts... Logan wraps his arms around your shoulders and whispers in your ear, "You're my favorite love story that I will ever have. I love you so much." You say back, "And you're my favorite love story too." When Taylor sings... He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring And said, Marry me, Juliet ... You feel your hand being pulled and you see Logan on his knees in front of you with a ring in his hand.

Logan asks, "Will you marry me?" You answer, "Yes!" He slides the ring on your finger before kissing you. You hear cheers around you and you feel amazing. This day truly keeps getting better and better. You cannot believe it.

evermore starts... Taylor shows up in another new outfit causing you to freak out for the millionth time of the day. Logan screams champagne problems as he should because his ex, Rory, was so rude. I hate her. Marjorie makes you start crying because you remember the loss of your grandmother so vividly and it hurts. Logan hugs you during the song and you even both sit down for the rest of the song.

Reputation is amazing live ... Taylor Swift can do no wrong. Logan asks if he can have a private performance of Dress later because Taylor didn't perform it causing you to blush.

Enchanted is beautiful and you nearly cry.

Red slays... period Queen Taylor Swift Phoebe Bridgers walks out for Nothing New, which is one of your favorite vault tracks. If it's not one of yours, you're clearly not the oldest daughter... I said what I said.

folklore is beautiful... The graphics on the screen behind her and the cabin are so amazing!!!! my tears ricochet nearly makes you cry again.

1989 starts... Logan is living for it. He screams every song. He once told you that it was one of his favorite eras from Taylor Swift.

TIME FOR SURPRISE SONGS!!!

Taylor premieres the Karma music video with Ice Spice live causing you to freak out. It's stunning. Taylor Swift is so pretty in it.

Getaway Car is the first one and you love it so much. You belt your heart out as does Logan. He has told you about a time with a getaway car before... not one of his proudest moments ... so he says...

Maroon is the next surprise song and you love it so much. This one means a lot to you and was one of your first favorite songs off of Midnights.

Midnights begins ... you love this era!!! You're so happy that Taylor released more pop music. You're a pop girlie through and through. Logan asks for a reenactment of Vigilante Sh** later... oh...

Ice Spice walks out ... you scream!!! It's amazing!!!

Everyone is continuing to trade bracelets as you leave the stadium and you make Logan walk back with you to the hotel. You stop at a pizza place near the hotel on the way back and bring food back to the hotel room.

As you eat in the hotel room, it dawns on you that you saw Taylor Swift live at the Eras Tour and ... you got engaged... holy sh** !!!

You ask, "Wanna know something crazy, baby?" Logan answers, "What?" You answer, "We're engaged." He smiles, kisses you on the cheek, and says, "Yeah we are. You're okay that I did it there, right?" You answer, "Of course. You made a great day even better." He smiles and says, "Good, I didn't want to ruin the Eras Tour for you or make you uncomfortable. I was also worried you wouldn't say yes." You reply, "I'm not your ex, babe. I love you and want to be with you forever and ever. You're my my my my LOVER." He replies, "I love you so much, babe. I have a whole speech written out that I wanted to read to you. I know the concert wasn't the place for it, but I figured we could go out to the country club this weekend and we can take pictures where I can say it." You reply, "I love that idea. I can't wait for it. Thank you for being the best fiancé in the entire world." He kisses you on the cheek and says, "You're welcome. Thanks for being the best future wife in the entire world. How does Y/N Huntzberger sound to you?" You smile and answer, "I love it a lot." He smirks and asks, "Wanna show me how much?" You playfully slap him and ... yeah you know ...

hi, everyone!

i thought i'd take a quick second to introduce myself and to also formally open up requests. i'm already working on a few things, but requests really do always help and feel free to submit them at any point--but, we'll get to all of that in a moment!

“You think he’s embarrassed because of you?” Raven repeated slowly, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly as she processed the words. Had she been disappointed in Finn Vorster’s response to the entire situation? Absolutely. It was hard not to. She tried not to put her friends’ kids on pedestals, but she’d at the very liked to give them the benefit of the doubt. She knew Adler and Dakota had the sweetest, least entitled kids around.

But maybe Finn was less like his siblings and more like the company he kept. The Gilmore twins could be little hellions when they wanted; she could only imagine the other sorts of friends those three boys had. Raven wasn’t naive to how Wren could be treated by her peers and she knew teenage boys were easily the cruelest bunch. She wondered if Finn associated himself with those kind of kids. The thought made her stomach churn.

Then again…if he really had such asshole friends, then maybe the problem at hand wasn’t him, but them. Despite the conflicting thoughts swarming her mind, she really wanted to believe in Finn. Or, if not in Finn himself, but in the two dear friends who had raised him. Wren deserved to have a happy pregnancy and, if not a loving partner to be there for her through it, then a supportive co-parent. So, despite the blood that was starting to boil beneath her skin, she tried to push aside her contempt and think positively.

“I doubt that’s true, hon.” Raven shook her head, squeezing Wren’s shoulder reassuringly. She left out how she was considering beating the little shit if that was actually the case. “If he had any bit of sense, he would know that of all the girls to be having a kid with, he hit the jackpot with you. Hell, maybe he understands that already, and he’s embarrassed because of him. After all, you’re the catch in this scenario, my darling…”

(A/N): Hello, hun! Thank you so much for requesting! Since you were two people asking for a second part with different ideas, I made this a third part. I guess this is the ‘kidnapping’ part? If you want another part at the Life and Death Brigade party itself, feel free to tell me so! :)

Part one - Part two

Even though you told Finn that you didn’t want to do anything dangerous for your first date, something kept telling you that you would not get what you asked for.

And that something was Rory aggressively speaking on the phone to Logan in her room.

“No! I told you guys, nothing dangerous!” You and Paris are both leaning against the Gilmore girl’s door, the blond having very intensely helped you to get prepared despite your protests and now being utterly invested in your love life as you both listen to Rory’s conversation. “Because- Logan, have you met her? It’s her first date! Finn can’t take her to a Life and Death Brigade party! She’s gonna run away! It took me an entire week to come to your party for a simple hour!”

Paris gives you a long look, eying your (f/c) dress in one scoop. “… maybe we chose the wrong dress.”

You don’t have time to say anything that someone knocks on your door, both you and Paris exchanging a quick look before the blond suddenly run towards the door and opens it to reveal a grinning Finn.

“Hey there. Is (Y/N) here?” He quickly looks away to try and spot you, his smile stretching out when he sees you. “Good evening, love.”

Rory opens the door to her room, her phone still against her ear as she points at Paris. “Close the door!”

Finn only has time to send her a shocked look before Paris slams the door shut on him, the blond putting her body against it in case he tries to get in.

“What- Rory!” You give your friend a shocked look, already hearing Logan’s laugh in her phone. “What is going on?”

“Logan, I’m telling her- no, I don’t care if it ruins the surprise!” Rory puts her hand on her phone to try and ignore her boyfriend’s voice, turning to you to give you a serious look. “(Y/N), I need to warn you about tonight’s date.”

You and Paris both exchange a quick look before you frown in confusion. “Okay…”

“Finn wants to take you to a secret party…” Your eyes go wide in surprise, thought Rory shakes her head before you can say that it seems like a nice idea. “Don’t judge too quickly. It’s a party from an organization called ‘Life and Death Brigade’… and though it might be fun, they also do very dumb and dangerous things.”

You hesitate before answering. “Am I… forced… to do those things?”

She blinks a couple of times. “Well, no, but-”

“Then I don’t see the problem.”

“(Y/N)!” Rory gives you a shocked look, trying to ignore the laughing coming out of her phone, sign that Logan heard the conversation. “It’s very dangerous!”

“You’re the one who keeps saying I need to get out of my shell.”

“Yeah, to enjoy new things, not to risk your life!”

Paris points at the door behind her, unsure. “Should I… open the door again..?”

“Yes, Paris.” The blond nods while you give a shocked Rory a smile. “Relax, I’ll be careful. And if something goes wrong, you’ll be the first one to know.”

Rory stays silent for a moment, then sighs. “Fine.”

That’s when Paris opens the door to reveal Finn still wearing his smile like he somehow knew that this would happen. “Hello again.”

“If you hurt her-” He loses his smile under her threatening glare. “-I will kill you.”

Rory raises a finger. “And I’ll gladly help to hide the body.”

“Guys!” You give out a chuckle as you put your coat on, actually feeling glad to have friends having your back. “I’ll be fine.”

“Yes, she will.” Finn smiles a third time, his eyes sweetening as he looks at you. “I’ll take care of her.”

“That is if you don’t hurt yourself again-”

“Okay, we’re going now- Bye-bye!” You push Finn towards the hallway and give your two friends a last smile before closing the door.

You give out a long sigh as soon as you don’t see your friends anymore, hearing a light chuckle behind you. “I’m guessing Rory prepared you for tonight, huh?”

You turn your head towards him with a smile. “What kind of dangerous things have you planned anyway?”

“Oh, nothing.” He puts wraps his arm around your shoulder as he walks you towards the exit of the building. “Just a blindfolded race car.”

Nothing has ever made him laugh so hard than the face you just made when he said those words.

1) Forgiveness and Stuff (1x10) I’m such a sucker for Luke being there for his girls. The way he gives Taylor, the guy he’s thrown a frying pan at because he’s annoying and he hates him, the keys to his establishment just shows how much he cares and knew Lorelai needed him. It makes me happy. Plus it’s where we get the classic blue hat. Lorelai saying Luke always looks good and Luke saying “I can’t imagine anyone seeing you as a disappointment.” Such cute moments in this episode.

2) Dead Uncles & Vegetables (2x17) Just as I love Luke being there for his girls, I equally love when Lorelai and Rory are there for him. Luke and Lorelai are a cute married couple in this episode (and pretty much all episodes really) and you can’t convince me otherwise. Also, don’t we all just love the way Rory makes Jess help out. It’s so funny seeing him just let her and we all know he’s loving it.

3) A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving (3x09) If you don’t join in when everyone is chanting ‘Jackson,’ then you haven’t been watching this episode right. I love getting to watch the girls go through their Thanksgiving traditions, especially Lorelai and Luke’s. The Lane and Dave moments are cute! The girls eating with Luke and Jess is adorable and they all look like a cute happy family. I adore the fact that Lorelai takes food from Luke’s plate. I’m telling you these people have been married since day one. Plus it’s Jess and Rory’s first Thanksgiving together as a couple and ain’t that cute! I love drunk Sookie! She’s funny and I can’t help but say her lines with her.

4) A Tale of Poes and Fire (3x17) It’s super fun seeing Michel interacting with Miss Patty and Babette. Lorelai screaming ‘Stella’ for Luke to come to the window is always fun to watch. But the best part is Lorelai telling Luke about her dream and how they smile while discussing it. Lorelai not being about to tell Luke that they kissed in her dream because it hits too close to home brings out the feels. Oh and Rory’s going to Yale!

5) The Fundamental Things Apply (4x05) Luke and Lorelai’s first movie night. I love how Lorelai teases Luke about not having watched many movies and not knowing what the FBI warning is. It’s so fun to watch. I love how comfortable they both look while they sit and watch Casablanca. Luke helping Rory out with her awkward date is cute, and a little Dad moment which fuels my ‘Luke has always been a father figure to Rory’ feels. The best moment is when Luke is sleeping on their couch and Rory says, ‘He looks comfy there, doesn’t he?’ and Lorelai looks like she doesn’t want to think about how comfy Luke looks because she doesn’t want to admit how much she likes seeing him there. And I’m definitely reading way too into that look but it makes me happy so it counts.

6) The Incredible Sinking Lorelais (4x14) The proud and happy smile on Lorelai’s face when she’s looking at the gum wrapper with the Dragonfly’s first reservation makes it worth watching this episode. She’s adorable and I’m so proud of her. Lorelai wearing her Bon Jovi hat and Luke commenting on it is fun. The best part about this episode has to be, as Lorelai puts it ‘the meltdown in the park’ moment. Lauren Graham is so good at emotional scenes (and pretty much everything this woman does) that it always hits me when Lorelai is breaking down. Of course I love the fact Luke instantly knows something is wrong when he sees her and he’s there to comfort and support her.

7) Let Me Hear Your Balalaikas Ringing Out (6x8) Lorelai jonesing for her colours is super fun and cute. Colin and Finn are funny when they’re drunk. ‘I’ve forgotten how to get into a car,’ always cracks me up. Then he appears. The man of the hour. Yes, Jess Mariano. It’s nice to have Jess back for this episode. I alway forget how much I love his interactions with Rory until I watch them again. I’m super proud of all he’s done and seeing him come back, showing his book to Rory and telling her that he couldn’t have done it without her is such a beautiful moment. Probable one of my favorite between the two. And of course seeing Jess questioning Rory and being able to wake her up and make her realise that she’s not acting like herself is the best. All that said, the part which I just love is when Paul Anka gets sick and Lorelai is in Rory’s room watching him sleep. Once again Lauren is just incredible and makes my heart hurt at hearing Lorelai say she's a bad mother. Luke being there to comfort her is an added bonus, especially the way he touches her hair to comfort her.

8) Santa’s Secret Stuff (7x11) I know what you’re thinking, how is a season 7 episode where Lorelai and Chris are still together on my most rewatchable list? Well let me tell you why. I love getting to hear about Lorelai and Rory’s Christmas traditions, such as how they put green and red M&M’s in their cereals on Christmas day (which I did last year and let me tell you it be yummy) and getting to see the girls go through those traditions is nice. Gigi isn’t my favorite character (honestly have no opinion on the kid) but she’s adorable when she copies Lorelai as she says ‘The redcoats are coming.’ The fact Lorelai doesn’t think twice about helping Luke with the character reference warms my heart to no end and is just super cute. Talking about cute, Luke and April! These cuties! Always love any Papa Luke moment. Luke being a Dad is so cute to watch and I love April (just hate what the writers did with her storyline in season 6 but that’s a rant for another day). Love that she’s 60% atheist and 40% agnostic. This girl is so quirky and I’m so here for it. What makes this episode one of my most rewatchable episodes is that scene between the girls and Luke and April when they’re all out shopping. This scene is amazing because it shows how much Luke cares for Rory. He’s always cared about her and throughout the years has always given her gifts for her birthday and holidays and maybe they weren’t the best gifts, but the love is what counts especially since Luke finds going out to buy presents such a daunting task. It just makes me happy seeing how much Rory means to him. What makes me love this scene is the smile and just the look on Lorelai’s face. If that look doesn’t show how much she loves and admires Luke then I clearly need new glass. (side note: I actually do need new glasses but that’s besides the point lol)

9) I’d Rather Be In Philadelphia (7x13) This episode just really shows how great Luke is. The fact the moment he finds out about Richard being at the hospital he just had to go and see if everyone is okay, to see if Lorelai is okay is next level cute and just reminds me why Luke is always going to be the better man. Yes, he has issues and has dealt with somethings in ways that I just want to punch him so hard his hat starts spinning like Daffy Duck's beak, but he’s always there for his girls even when he’s not with Lorelai which just further shows how much he cares and is generally such a great guy. I love that Luke let’s Emily give him chores to do and that it kinda feels like he’s part of the family because he’s helping out, but then I remember he’s not and that hurts. I love that he comes back with food and a fish bag. He’s a cutie. Love that Lorelai is happy to see him. Logan is there for Rory which is nice to see. It’s interesting to see how everyone deals with Richard being in the hospital this time around compared to in Season 1, mostly Emily. All her moments especially when she has a little breakdown in front of Lorelai, and then her talk with Richard hurts to watch but in a really good way.

10) It’s Just Like Riding a Bike (7x19) Lorelai’s dress at the start of this episode is the only reason I rewatch this episode endlessly. Ah well that and some other things too, I guess but mostly the dress. When Lorelai calls Sookie, that whole scene I personally feel like it presents a parent having to deal with sick children so well. Sookie’s place being a mess, her sniffing what I’m hoping is milk from the kid’s bottle and using it for her coffee, and also picking a lollipop from the tablecloth is really how life looks like for a parent just in general, let alone when their kids are sick. So it’s refreshing seeing this being presented in a realistic way. Luke and Lorelai car shopping is awkward but I love every moment of it, especially when Luke starts ranting and then they starts bickering. The smile on Lorelai’s face. Lord take the wheel because my heart can’t deal with the cuteness. The smile screams ‘I have him back’ to me and I love how happy she is about that. Luke doing everything in his power to make Lorelai be able to have her old car is just sweet, and have I forgotten to mention that this guy is just the best? I love it.

Okay, I’m finally done and the fact you’ve gotten to the end of this is amazing. It was hard to narrow it down to just these because there are a lot of episodes I love and rewatch often, like a bunch from season 4 and 5 but these just happen to be the ones I go to when wanting to rewatch an episode. It really only occured to me once I was done that I have no season 5 episodes on this list and more season 7 ones which I’m not even sure why that’s the case but it is. They Shoot Gilmores and The Lorelais' First Day at Yale is definitely episodes I watch often, especially because they both have cute moments: ‘Another kid might be nice’ and 'Rory says thanks for everything, too,’ are some. I just cant stop thinking about the concept of poe w/ black nails and eyeliner saying that the world doesnt understand him or some shit like that, and finn being his ray of sunshine bf

Please imagine Finn had a really sheltered upbringing. His parents werent huge assholes or anything, they were just ultra christian and so Finn and his sister (Rey) were really sheltered and basically knew nothing about the real world

So after Finn has gotten settled in his dorm room and his parents have left bc they have a church event to get back to, he just sits there patiently waiting for his roomate to arrive

In walks Poe, this guy wearing jeans, a red flannel, and doc martens, and has on eyeliner and/or black nail polish.

So Finn's immediate reaction is to be scared of this guy who is bopping his head along to whatever is playing through his ear buds.

Finn, panicked and thinking to himself: ohmygosh thats a pentagram on his backpack, he's gonna sacrifice me to Satan and ill never see Rey again-

But then the guy takes his ear buds out and holds out his hand with the most genuine smile and Finn's like okay, maybe he's not so bad

What follows is a year long journey of Poe showing Finn all the things he was sheltered from (Indian, Chinese and Thai food, Gilmore Girls, Friends, Supernatural, the Disney Princess and the Frog movie, Aladdin, Shawshank Redemption, Grease, Mean Girls, Harry Potter, Cards Against Humanity, Never Have I Ever, swear words, etc)

Poe helps Finn realize that A) he likes guys and B) its okay to like guys

Poe actually takes Finn to his first pride celebration :')

And then over the summer when Finn and Rey come home they voice their new opinions and their parents are appalled but thankfully dont kick them out

When Finn comes back to school he's like "o no, I'm in love with Poe."

Cue two oblivious idiots pining over eachother for about 4 months

Finally when they're ice skating cause Finn had never done that either, he tells Poe how he feels

Poe's like "holy shit this isn't real, dude ive been pining after you for a year now"

Finn is overjoyed, they go on dates and live happily ever after :)))

Hi I was wondering if you could do a Gilmore girls fic where the reader is pregnant with Finns baby x

You were at Logan’s place for a friendly gathering, a chiller night than usual to celebrate Rory getting a job at a prestigious online magazine. You were all gathered around the living while Colin was making drinks, congratulating the Gilmore girl and exchanging wild stories about your shared past. Finn naturally wraps his arm around your shoulders as words pour out of his mouth, making your friends errupt in laughter. You turn your head at him, your eyes softening as a warm light appear in them, and he soon turns his head back at you with the same look. He reaches for your hand, intertwining your fingers together as he gives your palm a gentle squeeze.

“Here are the drinks!” Colin appears in the living room, his hands holding a tray filled with home-made drinks. “Be prepared to be send to Nirvana.”

Logan snort as he takes two off the tray, giving one to Rory sitting next to him. “I don’t remember you ever being a cocktail expert.”

“Yeah, don’t you remember?” Finn takes his drink, a grin on his lips as he sends Colin a teasing look. “We barely made it out alive last time you made any of these.”

“That was two years ago.” Colin’s answer makes you and the others chuckle, his head shaking as he grins at you all. “I got better.”

“Well...” Rory raises her glass, a small smile on her lips. “I’ll be the judge of that.”

“Please do.” Colin picks up the last two drinks, handing you one. “Milady.”

“Ah, sorry, Colin.” Finn speaks up before you have a chance to, his arm leaving your shoulders to pick up your drink from his friend’s hands. “(Y/N) is gonna skip the drinking tonight.”

“What?” The brown-haired boy gives out a gasp as he sits down, his lips soon forming a pout just as he looks at you. “Why not? Don’t tell me you’re the designated driver.”

You chuckle, Finn putting your drink down on the living room’s table, and you look into his eyes for a moment. “Not exactly.”

There’s a silence for a few seconds, realization soon hitting your three friends, only for Rory to give out a large gasp along with a wide smile.

“Oh my gosh!” Her eyes sparkle with excitement, her lips stretching onto her cheeks. “You’re pregnant?”

“And it’s mine.” Fine speaks up with a joking tone, trying to keep a straight face. “In case anyone was wondering-”

You shut him up by hitting his sides with your elbow, a painful laugh coming out of his mouth as a result.

“Congratulations, you guys.” Logan raises his drink to the two of you, a soft smile on his lips. “You’re gonna be great parents.”

“Forget about great parents!” Colin grins wildly from his place. “This little you is going to have the greatest uncle around.”

“Aw.” Logan gives out a teasing smirk. “Thank you, man. I appreciate it.”

You and the others give out a laugh upon seeing Colin send Logan a glare, Finn soon wrapping his arm around your shoulder once more. You give him a soft smile, your eyes filled with love as your heart warms up from these feelings.

This is a new chapter of your lives, and you cannot wait to see how it’s going to be.

Comes from a very tight-knit family. Is the youngest, and the only of her siblings at Hogwarts since her brother graduated the year before. She has two older brothers and one older sister. All the kids were placed in different Hogwarts houses, which their parents thought was pretty amusing.

Used to go camping a lot as a child with her family, and though her siblings grew tired of it after a while, she was always looking forward to it. She loved feeling like one with nature, and adored both the flora and the fauna that surrounded her.

Excels at Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures because all things nature come, well, naturally to her.

Is always spending her free time outside, no matter the weather. It’s very important to her that Mother Nature knows she appreciates all seasons equally. However, she despises being cold if she’s indoors. Outside? It feels right. Inside? There’s something wrong.

Therefore, she wears tons of layers in winter. So much so, that it’s kind of ridiculous.

Is not the most talkative person ever, but if you get her started about something she’s passionate about (like preserving nature), good luck stopping her.

Very loyal and amiable.

Probably has a lot of friends, because I can’t imagine her not getting along with someone. Unless they disrespect nature, because in that case, they’re automatically an enemy in Abigail’s mind.

Thinks in English, but most of her dreams are in Spanish, and she’s perfectly fluent in both languages. Her mother’s Canadian and her father’s Chilean, and they met in France during an international wizarding conference. They decided to move to England because they couldn’t bear disappointing the other by not moving to their home, so they decided to compromise. Like, neither wanted the other to come with them, they wanted to go with the other. They’re adorable and couple goals af, to be honest.

Prefect! Is very responsible, with both feet planted firmly on the ground (which might explain why she hates flying or going on boats so much - she needs to touch the earth always). Gets generally good grades, but isn’t a genius or anything. She just works hard on school work.

A walking disaster.

Very lovable, though. I might be biased because I love her, but I believe she is truly easy to love.

Loves creating things. Will most likely end up with antlers at some point because she’s trying to invent a new spell or potion. Has yet to create anything successful, but she’ll be damned if she ever stops trying. Thing is, she wants to fix things. To make them better, and to make others happy.

Listen, I love this girl so damn much. She’s like a ray of sunshine with a tendency to accidentally blow things up, which she picked up from one of her dads. I mean, it’s not like he taught her how to blow things up, but like... Genetics? Maybe? Seamus is her biological father, as they used a surrogate for her to like, be birthed into existence, but she doesn’t see one of her fathers as more of her father than the other one. They’re her parents; she doesn’t care who she shares blood with. And she prefers not thinking about blood in general, actually, as it makes her feel queasy. Quite problematic considering the fact that she gets injured so easily, in fact.

Loves her family so damn much. Like, I don’t know what the birth order is, we’ll have to work that out, but will legit become the fight me emoji for any member of her family and/or anyone someone in her family loves. Which is quite funny considering the fact that she’s usually so sweet. But for her family? Anything.

Is very friendly, but can be a bit much for some people, so I picture her being friendly with everyone, but not necessarily having a lot of close friends as people sometimes need breaks from her. Which hurts her, to be honest, but she tries to keep that hidden.

The thing is, she’s been called annoying once, and though she hasn’t let it change the way she acts, she’s been really sensitive to the way people act around her ever since. Glances shared between others when she won’t stop talking lead to Aileen crying herself to sleep if she thinks too much about it, and she’s recently realized that she’s becoming more and more sensitive. She hides it really well behind smiles and loud laughter, though.

Like, legit.......... Plays Dungeons and Dragons with his muggleborn friends. Is most often the dungeon master because he loves coming up with stories.

Also loves coming up with theories and honestly loves studying and trying to figure things out between the lines. He’s just, like, really really curious. Intellectually and in general, really.

He’s really close to his family and his parents, but his favourite family member outside of close family is Luna. He knows she’s not like, blood family, but she’s his mother’s best friend, and he really admires her. He doesn’t necessarily believe in the things she does, but he finds it admirable that she believes in those things so deeply. He does believe in some things she says, though, and likes researching things related to what she’s been talking about. Like figuring out where those made-up creatures’ history might come from and things like that.

As far from angsty as can be, to be honest.

Loves loves LOVES hearing people’s various theories. Like, even if he doesn’t fully believe in something he hears, he finds it so fascinating to figure out why someone believes it that he finds it just as interesting as if he believed in it.

Started reading about muggle psychology lately and has been finding it fascinating. He thinks it’s interesting that it can easily be applied to the wix even though it was created by muggles, and highkey I picture him becoming a mind medic or something similar in the future. He loves figuring things out about people and helping people, and just!!!! He’d be so good at it.

Gets good grades, but not the best grades either. His best subjects are Arithmancy and History of Magic, and his worst is Potions.

My June & July Reads

84, Charing Cross Road, Helene Hanff - A cool thing I get to do for my day job is interview people for the staff newsletter. Since it’s a library and I am me, I always ask for book recommendations. Back in June, a librarian told me that once a year, she re-reads her favorite book, 84, Charing Cross Road, a collection of letters between a freelance writer in New York City and workers at the London bookshop where she orders all the books she can’t find in America. The librarian told me that Helene “speaks to my soul, my secret self”...and I mean, who am I to resist a recommendation like that? So: I read it and you should read it too. Helene Hanff was completely bonkers and a wonderful writer. The letters are hilarious, interesting, and full of history lessons; the correspondence spans from the 1940s to the 1960s, so you get all these fascinating glimpses at wartime London (a lot of powdered eggs). Anyway, this book is wonderful and super short and I plan to join my colleague in her annual re-read. The Brutal Telling, Louise Penny - My favorite of the series so far, Louise Penny amazes me. I need two months off work just to catch up on all the Armand Gamache books, and I *really* need to find a Gamache support group to help me deal with everything revealed at the end of The Brutal Telling. (I thought I was imagining the Jean-Guy Beauvoir stuff, but I was right. AHHHHHH!)

The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls, Jessica Spotswood - A YA that I can’t recommend enough for fans of Little Women & Gilmore Girls (& Dawson’s Creek!). There are many appealing plot points but here’s my favorite: you know how we all loved the season 2 Rory/Dean/Jess drama? This book has that except the Jess character is a sweetheart who already has his shit together.

The Gunners, Rebecca Kauffman - I love these characters, I love all their tiny revelations, I love the pets (Finn and Friday!), I. LOVE. MIKEYYYY. The descriptions, the music, the dad scenes, all of it. Get this book immediately!

Bitter Orange, Claire Fuller - The kind of beautifully written novel that makes me wish I was back in college—just for a week!—so I could argue about the characters and themes and imagery and the ending with a group of passionate book nerds. (And then I'd drag Kerry to Kofenya so we could gossip about said book nerds over a couple zebra lattes. Hi, Kerry!) This book has everything: an abandoned (possibly haunted) English estate, so many biscuits and bottles of wine, a dramatically unhappy couple, an introverted garden researcher, sex, misery, loneliness, religion, and on and on. Mystery, intrigue, and unreliability galore! Clearly I loved it a lot.

The Late Bloomers’ Club, Louise Miller - A perfect book. I loved it *even more* than her first book, which is also perfect. Sisters, a small town diner, a missing dog, baked goods, capable (and nice and handsome) men. I plan to daydream about all of the author's food descriptions for quite some time...now who can bake me a burnt sugar cake with maple icing?! Sidenote: Louise Penny and Louise Miller have become two of my favorite, must-read authors. Is there something about the name Louise? I dunno, but they’re both brilliant.

Things Jolie Needs to Do Before She Bites It, Kerry Winfrey - A funny, feel-good, total delight of a book, which yes, was written by one of my best friends. Isn’t it nice that I don’t have to lie about my friend’s book being great? Kerry’s writing is warm, wonderful, cozy, all the good adjectives--I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a positive distraction. So much happens in this book, and I loved all of it: there's a high school musical featuring astronauts and pigs, a best friend group that holds emergency meetings at Applebee's, and a quest to complete a bucket list with goals like 'kiss the cutest boy at school.' Through all of that, there's a beautiful story about two sisters who learn to rely on each other when life sucks, a girl struggling with self-confidence and body image, and of course, a swoony romance (a VERY swoony romance). Did I mention it’s really funny? I laughed out loud a LOT while I waited for my faves to finally kiss. This is an ideal summer read.
