Do you have a favorite Haikyuu official art?
YES i DO !!! i have SEVERAL favorites, even. some of these are promo art and some are by furudate, but unfortunately i don’t have sources for these anymore bc they just kinda live in my camera roll. i was once told that you can gauge my level of depression based on how many haikyuu images i have recently saved versus how many real life photos i’ve recently taken lmfao. anyways images under the cut bc there’s quite a few on the short list lol.
Tumblr media
i think hair down bokuto and wet hair kuroo actually changed my entire life.
Tumblr media
a recent one but an instant classic and instant favorite. it’s the pride and the iwaizumi interview and the san juan jersey and the smirk and. god. ok. whatever. i’m normal about oikawa. don’t look at my posts abt him.
Tumblr media
SEIJOH MY BELOVED.
Tumblr media
i obviously loved all of the timeskip art, i think we all did, but this one is one of my favorites. like. the socks rolled over the years old nekoma sweatpants. the socks in slides. the half up bun. i love everything abt this and abt him. biting glass.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these dropped while i was writing my final haikyuu quest fic and i went a little crazy for them not gonna lie. i could stare at these for YEARS and not get bored. all the tiny details and their facial expressions and just. gaaaaah.
Tumblr media
everything about this image makes me want to either scream or cry or laugh or possibly all of the above at the same time. i like. i just. i want to devour this art. i want it seared into my brain. i want to hold it in my two hands forever. i want to shake it around like a dog with a very large stick. i have normal feelings about haikyuu.

Overview ig??
I'm new to tumblr so bear with me-
Hello, I'm Geno, I use she/her pronouns and I like drawing and writing, so you can expect stuff like that here-
This will mostly be about fandoms I'm into, though which will be specific what my brain currently tells me to fixate on-
Here's a list of what you are most likely to expect (though it's not limited to this):
Haikyuu
DnD
Tmnt (the animated series, more specifically 2003, 2012 and Rise, maybe this will expand)
Ducktales 2017
Undertale
Ace Attorney
Hobbit (idk how)
maybe MHA/BNHA (I haven't rlly been into it as of recently)
maybe Danganronpa
stuff about Mythology (especially Japanese)
Another thing you can expect is stuff like crossovers/AU between them, like posts about a Final Haikyuu Quest x DnD AU (which I am writing as a fanfic) or various Danganronpa AUs

Pretty | SakuAtsu | Haikyuu!! | Tickle Fic
A/N: Ok hi so I wrote this a little while ago bc my SakuAtsu brainrot never stops and I figured I might as well share it. This is my first time posting a T-fic so please be kind lol. Also, sorry if the formatting is a mess I am on my phone.
Disclaimer: This takes place post timeskip so minor spoilers for Haikyuu! It’s nothing to major other than some vague things mentioned in passing. Also includes swearing and centers around tickling within a romantic setting (all sfw).
Summary: Sakusa’s stubborn as hell, but Atsumu is more than willing to get his boyfriend to go to sleep by whatever means necessary. Especially if that means he gets to see that pretty smile of his.
——————————————————
“Ya know, yer hair is really soft Omi,” Atsumu said, breaking the calm silence that had settled over the room. It was actually Kiyoomi’s room in his apartment this time. Atsumu was lying on his bed, running his hands through Kiyoomi’s dark curls as the other man laid across the bed, head placed conveniently in the setter’s lap as he attempted to read a book. He was far too tired to do so, in Atsumu’s professional opinion. The way his eyes kept falling shut for longer between blinks and how his grip on the hardcover kept shifting until he was barely holding it open where it lay against his propped up legs supported it too.
“You already- said that,” he replied, trying for flat and uninterested but the cute yawn that interrupted his sentence completely contradicted his unbothered persona.
It’d been a long practice for everyone, but especially the spikers. Both Bokuto and Sakusa had to run an insane amount of cut shot drills on top of their usual work. Just watching it had made Atsumu tired, so he could only imagine how Omi was feeling. The man had been practically dead on his feet when they’d gotten back to their complex, so the way he had melted into their bed upon finally brushing his teeth was unsurprising. His attempts at staying up were though. Atsumu blamed that on his insistence on keeping his routine no matter what.
The stubborn bastard could barely keep his eyes open, but sure, making it through a whole chapter of that thick ass book was totally plausible.
“It’s true though,” Atsumu was quiet for a moment and then, when he got no response he added on, “and it’s so pretty too,” For that he received a half hearted glare that was dampened by the way he could feel the man leaning into his touch as his fingertips scratched lightly again his scalp. The twin smiled, his boyfriend really lost his filter when he was this tired.
Gone were the biting remarks and cold expressions, leaving him far more pliant than he would ever admit to. Hell, here he was, letting Atsumu play with his hair and letting out little sighs of contentment. His eyes were even gradually falling closed as he relaxed into his boyfriend’s touch.
The harsh lines of his face were softened by the low light in the bed room, and with his brows uncreased by any worries and his hair pooled around his head like a dark halo, he looked almost angelic. Like something out of one of those fancy paintings.
“Yer so pretty Omi,” Atsumu murmured absently, the words falling from his lips easily. It was a statement to him. A simple truth of life.
The sky was blue, volleyball was the best, and Atsumu’s boyfriend was a damn masterpiece.
This was only proved further when his cheeks began to warm, the pink flush only complimenting smooth skin and pouty lips, twitching down into a petulant frown despite his flustered state.
“Shut it,” he mumbled in reply, unable to come up with a proper comeback in his half asleep state. Atsumu smirked. Another thing he loved about sleepy Omi was his inability to disguise any of his reactions. It always made messing him even more fun.
“Omiiii, Yer so cute m’gonna dieeeeee,” he teased, leaning down to admire his expression more closely. The new angle let him see the minuscule twitch of the corner of his lips, a sign that his adorable boyfriend wasn’t really as grumpy as he was trying to appear, “Aw is that a smile I see?” Said boyfriend had abandoned all hopes of reading his book in favor of moving off of Atsumu’s lap and onto his side of the bed, laying back and closing his eyes.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about Atsumu,” he stated, his voice still managing to stay level and unaffected, a true testament to Sakusa’s insane amount of self control, “Now its late, let’s go to sleep,” Too bad Atsumu was too much of an asshole to let him be. And, he knew him well enough to chip away at that carefully crafted mask until his boyfriend was puddy in his hands.
Miya pouted and moved closer, letting his right hand come back up to rest in his curls again and the other land at his back, rubbing slow circles into it the way he knew Sakusa liked.
“Oh c’mon baby don’t be like that, I just want ta see that gorgeous smile of yers,” he let his chin rest on Kiyoomi’s shoulder, pressing close to his back as his arm trailed down to wrap around his waist. He placed a light kiss against his boyfriend’s temple. The first in a trail that led down his cheek to his jaw and then took a detour down and up his neck to reach his ear again, earning soft sighs and hums as he went. Atsumu smiled, his Omi really was sweet like this: All peaceful and relaxed and unassuming, “Do me a favor and lemme see it?”
He shifted from kissing at his neck to mouthing lightly and letting his lips graze the expanse of soft pale skin at his disposal and the reaction was immediate, even if Sakusa tried to hide it. Sure, he stayed quiet, but Atsumu could feel the shivers that ran through him when he started and how his shoulders began to shake the longer he went on. He felt him jump when he let the fingers at his waist trace lazy shape into his toned stomach.
“Atsumu-“ His name was rushed out in a breathy way that only Atsumu got to hear.
“Yes Omi?” He purred, directly into his boyfriends ear, savoring the little squeak that came from the man shaking in his arms.
“N-no,” he whined, actually whined, shaking his head in an attempt to rid himself of the tingly sensations that were quickly perforating his sleep addled mind and making him want to give into the bouncy feeling rising in his chest.
“Why not Omi? M’just tryin ta kiss ya?” He followed his movements easily, continuing the playful torment of his boyfriend.
“You- you know exActly whehy not!” The squeak was louder this time and Kiyoomi even let a few titters loose as Atsumu started using his other hand to lightly scribble at the other side of his neck while simultaneously blowing into his ear.
“Ooh was that a giggle there Omi? What’s happenin’ baby? Somethin’ funny?” Atsumu knew that if he could, Sakusa would be griping about the teasing and how this whole thing was immature and unfair. For now though, he was too busy trying (and failing) not to devolve into a ticklish mess, so Miya was content.
“Nahaha stahahap yohuhu bahahastard!” He forced out through his giggles. The sound was light and filled with gasping breathes and squeals. Kiyoomi hated it, but it was one of Atsumu’s favorite sounds. Especially when he knew he was the cause of it.
Whether it came from unraveling him like this or timing a sarcastic joke just right, he savored it each time he got to hear it, so he didn’t appreciate it when both ungloved hands flew up to muffle it.
“Hey what’dya do that for?” He asked, his own pout forming on his lips as he leaned up to see his boyfriend’s face. His eyes were squeezed shut again and the flush was even brighter now. What was really captivating though, was the way his whole face seemed to brighten, even with his open mouth smile covered up.
Atsumu couldn’t help but stop and stare for a few seconds before remembering the task at hand. To see that pretty smile for real.
“C’mon Omi, just pull yer hands away or m’gonna haveta resort to extreme measures,” Atsumu increased his effort at leaving barely there kisses along Kiyoomi’s neck, feeling his heart race against his lips when he reached the pulse point. This got a cacophony of muffled squeaks and giggles before he finally gave into instinct and moved one of his hands away to push at his face.
As soon as it came up, Atsumu saw his chance and took it.
The hand that was drawing shivery patterns over sharp hip bones immediately skittered up Sakusa’s side to find its mark just above his ribs, sending the arm crashing right back down with a muffled shriek.
“Pffft phmp uff,” Came the dampened response as the other hand stayed stubborn in its quest to deprive Atsumu of his happiness. He decided to take it up another notch, because despite his tiredness, his Omi-Omi was still able to put up a good fight. He wouldn’t have him any other way: As headstrong as he was talented.
“Fine, don’t say I didn’t warn ya,” Atsumu leaned back just enough to leave some space between himself and Kiyoomi’s back. For insurance and safety purposes, he threw a leg over his waist to make sure he would fall off the bed.
Then all bets were off.
He started actually scratching at his armpits in tandem with leaving sloppy kisses along his spine and shoulder blades and any other part of his back he could reach at the moment, and the reaction was instantaneous and oh so satisfying.
“Mmmmphhhuhuhuck AtsuhuHU! NaHAHA STAHAP!”
“What babe? Somethin’ wrong?” He made sure to speak against the skin of his back, his words sending ticklish tremors through Kiyoomi as his worst spot was attacked.
“NOHOHOT THEHERE AHATSUHU!” Something seemed to switch off in his brain as his arms finally fell limp at his sides and he threw his head back against the pillows, laughing fully now. When they did, Atsumu immediately toned it down, abandoning his underarm in favor of leaving feather light scratches down the sides of his boyfriend’s back, making him shiver and keeping him caught up in his giggles without torturing him too bad.
Omi could never say that he was anything but nice about this....Well at least at this particular moment. Sakusa definitely kept a dated list of the times that his boyfriend had ruthlessly abused this specific weakness, but that was besides the point.
“Ahatsuhuhu,” Atsumu looked up at the sound of his name falling from upturned lips and found himself mesmerized by the sight.
Now that Kiyoomi had given up on stopping him he’d shifted to flop down on his stomach, bracing his head on his arms as he tried to contain the shaky laughter still spilling easily from his mouth. His hair was tousled from the struggle and his eyes were teary from laughing so hard and he was in an eternal state of flushed and fuck he was beautiful.
Too pretty for his own good. And Atsumu’s. At this rate, he was gonna die before he got to the Olympics.
He could just see it now: Miya Atsumu, beloved son, brother, boyfriend, and teammate. Cause of death: Seeing his godlike boyfriend laugh his heart out.
Shit, ‘Samu was right, he was whipped.
“Tsuhuhuhumuuu, m’tired,” Whiny giggles followed by a familiar yawn brought him out of his thoughts and he let his fingers slow to a stop, moving up in the bed to be beside his still giggling boyfriend. He turned him over onto his back before placing his book onto the nights stand and turning out the light.
“A-asshole,” Sakusa groaned, through breathy pants, giving him a half-hearted shove as he turned to face the blonde.
“But ya love me,” he teased moving in closer to lay his head on the dark haired man’s chest, listening patiently as his heartbeat finally started to slow down.
“You suck,” he murmured in response, his tone empty of any real malice. Plus, the way he was snuggling closer and lacing their hands together across Atsumu’s waist contradicted his words anyway.
Atsumu smiled and took a final look at his boyfriend before closing his eyes to follow him into sleep. And as a man of a limited vocabulary when it came to most things other than volleyball, his last thoughts prior to drifting off were as simple as they were true: Omi’s so pretty.

How He Shows You Affection: Tsukishima Kei
Post Time Skip/Manga Spoilers!
Warnings: None All Fluff!
How He Shows You Affection Master List - Character Masterlist
Tumblr media
This was requested by an anon who asked for both Tsukishima and Kita Shinsuke! I hope you like it anon. I have to admit I’m not the biggest fan of Tsukishima, but I hope I did him justice! 😭🥺, also huge thank you to @haikyuu-addict for beta reading for me you’re amazing!
He Teases You
You grimaced slightly as you stared up at the mug on the highest shelf of the cabinet pushed all the way to the back. It was going to be an incredible hassle to reach it, and a part of you wondered briefly if it would even be worth it to try. After all you had plenty of other mugs in your kitchen. It was just, that happened to be your favorite mug, it had actually been a gag gift from your boyfriend, and read ‘you’re my favorite pain in the ass’ written in his neat precise calligraphy.
However, to his shock you actually loved the mug, mostly because it was the absolute perfect size to make your favorite hot beverage in, something he’d later been smugly satisfied about as if that had been the intention all along even if you both knew it wasn’t. You’d been craving your favorite drink all day, and had been set to make yourself a nice hot cup when you’d gotten home from work, only to open up the cabinets and find your mug completely out of reach.
Staring at it you had to wonder if he’d done it on purpose. It was honestly a toss-up with Tsukishima, sometimes he did things like this just because he thought it was funny to watch you struggle, and other times he just genuinely forgot that if he put things on the very top shelves you wouldn’t be able to reach without some form of aid. Usually you’d simply ask him to get it for you, even if he would spend a good deal of time teasing you about it, he never actually said no, and you’d learned to put up with the teasing after years of knowing him and being in a relationship with him.
Unfortunately, Tsukishima wasn’t home yet, still at practice with the Sendai Frogs, which meant you were on your own. You considered going to get the step stool that was tucked away neatly in the hall closet, which was for these exact kinds of situations, but in the end decided you were too lazy to walk over and get it and decided to climb up on to the counter instead.
You were a bit precariously balanced, but you figured it would be fine as you leaned into the cupboard, your fingers scrabbling for the handle of the mug that was just barely out of your reach.
             “Oya what’s this?”
You’d been so caught up in your quest that you hadn’t heard the door open or you boyfriend’s arrival into the kitchen. His words startled you enough to make you jolt slightly, making you lose your balance a bit, one of your arms pinwheeling to keep you from slipping backwards off the counter. Luckily Tsukishima had always had incredibly quick reflexes, and he immediately stepped forward, his hands finding your waist and steadying you easily.
“Clumsy,” he scolded, clear disapproval on his face as he gently tugged you backwards and helped you set your feet firmly back on to the floor, “Just what are you trying to do shortcake?”
“I was trying to get my mug,” you told him with a huff, even as some of the annoyance you felt for him startling you faded away with the familiar nickname, one that was part teasing you for being shorter than him, and another part fondness after his favorite food, though it didn’t keep you from pouting at him as you explained, “Someone put it up where I can’t reach it.”
“Oh?” he asked a teasing grin curling his lips, making his golden eyes glint in amusement, as he moved over to where you had been, easily plucking the mug from its resting place without even needing to stand on his toes to reach it before turning to you and asking smugly, “You mean this mug?”
“Yes, that mug,” you told him holding your hand out for it, fully expecting him to hand it over.
“I don’t know if I should give it to you,” he told you with a wicked grin, “After all you nearly broke your neck trying to get it, and didn’t even greet me properly when I got home I don’t think that kind of behavior deserves a reward.”
“Kei,” you whined at him reaching for it, only to have him hold it up out of your reach, high above your head, “I need it.”
He didn’t relent to your whining, only smirked in clear amusement as you stood on your toes trying to reach before eventually giving up.
“Mean,” you informed him with a huff.
“Calling me mean,” he goaded lightly, “And after I saved you from tumbling off the counter too. Maybe you should try asking nicely instead of just trying to take it from me hmm?”
You huffed a sigh, unable to help the slight amusement that curled your lips, well used to his teasing and with a pretty good idea of what he wanted, the same thing he always wanted when he teased you like this.
You stepped forward into his space and wrapped your arms around his neck and tilting your face upwards. He met you partway, his lips warm and soft against your own, even as they curled upwards clearly pleased.
“Please can I have my mug Kei?” you murmured against his lips nuzzling your nose affectionately against his.
He heaved a sigh as if completely put out by your request, but relented, passing the mug over to you, “Alright shortcake, but only this once and only because you asked so nicely.”
You giggled at that, both of you well aware he didn’t mean it in the slightest as you stepped away humming happily about finally being able to get the drink you craved. You made enough for the both of you, feeling warm under the amused, fond gaze of your boyfriend.
He Flicks/Pokes You in the Forehead
You frowned in consternation, your arms crossed across your chest as you tried to make your decision glancing back and forth between the two choices in front of you, running your fingers over the fine material, and eyeing the pretty patterns. You couldn’t make up your mind about which to buy, and couldn’t help fretting about it.
“Ouch!” you yipped in surprise your hands automatically dropping the scarves back on to the table and coming up to press to your forehead as you shot an indignant wounded look at your boyfriend who’d just flicked you right in the center of your forehead.
“Kei,” you whined at him unhappily gently rubbing the abused spot, “What was that for?”
“You’re worrying too much,” he informed you bluntly, a bored drawl to his voice, “Just pick one already.”
“I just want her to like it,” you told him with a slight pout eyeing the scarves again, “Why don’t you choose if you think it’s so easy?”
“My mother already loves you,” he informed you with a sigh, “So she’ll love whatever you get for her, because it’s from you.”
“Even if that’s true, I still want her to like it and be able to wear it,” you informed him obstinately, as you picked up the two pretty scarves you’d been eying again and held them out toward him, “And you could try being a little more helpful Kei, she’s your mom after all, shouldn’t you know her best? Why don’t you pick?”
Your boyfriend heaved a sigh that was half annoyance half exasperated fondness as he looked at you and drawled, “Weren’t you the one who said you could do it without my help earlier?”
You flushed at that. It was the truth after all, your boyfriend had been playfully teasing you earlier about getting his mother’s birthday gift for her, and purposefully wound you up to the point that you’d blurted out that you’d pick out and pay for the gift yourself and it would serve him right if you didn’t even bother to put his name on it.
As per usual he’d been deeply amused by this, and had insisted on accompanying you to go on your expedition to find the perfect gift. Unfortunately, it had been incredibly slow going, as while you did like his mother a lot, the woman was nothing but kind and welcoming whenever you saw her, you didn’t actually know her all that well. It was only pure luck that you’d remembered she had complimented your scarf the last time you were there and had vaguely mentioned wanting something like that for her own.
“Don’t frown so much you’ll get wrinkles,” your boyfriend told you gently poking you in the forehead, in a slightly softer version of the flick he’d used earlier. It was something he’d been doing since the two of you had started dating, gently flicking or poking your forehead whenever he needed to catch your attention or whenever he thought you were frowning too much.
He always teased that you were going to get wrinkles, or that if you continued to try to think so hard your brain would melt out of your ears. It never failed to distract you from whatever was worrying you, or upsetting you and he knew it. It was honestly probably the whole reason he did it in the first place, his own way of showing concern and taking care of you, that was rather cute, not that you’d ever tell him that.
“Go with the blue,” he told you tapping his finger against your forehead and pulling your from your thoughts, heaving a sigh as if incredibly put upon as he explained, “It’s her favorite color.”
“Thanks Kei,” you told him with a grin, unable to help yourself, in the face of his affection.
“Yeah, yeah,” he waved you off with an amused smirk, “Just don’t forget to put my name on it too.”
You huffed a laugh at that but agreed, feeling pleased both with your gift and with your boyfriend, who really was sweet, even if he went out of his way to hide it.
 He Seeks Out Your Company
You sighed quietly to yourself as you looked over your project. You weren’t quite finished with it yet, but you felt like you’d made good progress on it in the last hour or so. Feeling rather pleased with yourself, you stretched lazily, letting your eyes flick over the room, taking it in. You couldn’t help the small smile that tugged on your lips as you saw your boyfriend sitting in the arm chair next to you.
He was fast asleep, his eyes closed and his head tilted back, his arms folded across his chest as he snoozed away. You could hear the faint, tinny sound of music from the headphones in his ears, clearly still playing something despite the wearer clearly no longer paying attention. It didn’t look at all comfortable, especially since he still had his glasses on, and his neck was at an odd angle resting on the back of the chair.
You couldn’t help the warm feeling that surged through you as you looked at him though. Tsukishima was a bit of an introvert by nature, despite how confident he acted around groups of people and his slightly caustic attitude. The people he was genuinely comfortable with were fairly limited and the people whose company he actually enjoyed could be counted on his hands with fingers left over.
You were among the privileged few whose company he not only enjoyed, but who he actively sought out. He never drew attention to it, and it was incredibly subtle, but whenever you were both home at the same time he was almost always in the same room as you. You didn’t have to be interacting at all, in fact most of the time you’d be preoccupied and would suddenly look up to find him in the vicinity, usually listening to music or reading a book.
It wasn’t just at home either. Whenever you happened to be in the same vicinity as one another Tsukishima almost always gravitated to your side within the first five minutes of your arrival. He tended to use you, both as a shield and a bit of an excuse to not speak with anyone he found distasteful, insisting that he preferred your presence to the rest of the unwashed masses.
It never failed to make you feel soft and utterly loved whenever he did it, though you would never actually point it out or draw attention to it, well aware it would only make him defensive and hissy. Honestly, he was a bit like a cat that way, something Yamaguchi had pointed out to you when the two of you had first started dating and you’d asked the other man for advice. He’d told you to let Tsukishima do things on his own terms, and to treat him a bit like a standoffish feline, and it hadn’t failed you yet.
Carefully you stood up from your spot, and made your way over, well aware he was a bit of a light sleeper. He looked far more innocent in sleep that you would’ve guessed when you first met him, without the flashing golden eyes and the ever-present smirk on his face. It was a vulnerability he only showed to a trusted few and you were honored to be among them.
Gently, you pulled his glasses from his face, folding them neatly and setting them nearby where he could easily spot them once he woke, and pressed a soft kiss to his forehead. He may try to hide it, but he really did have a sweet side to him, even if he could be incredibly salty at times and you couldn’t be happier to call him your boyfriend.

QUEST!
Tumblr media
Greek Mythology x Haikyuu
Haikyuu!Ensemble x Reader
OVERVIEW. You were just a perfectly normal student at The University of Tokyo, when suddenly a bunch of 'normal boys', as they call themselves, appeared in your life and started to squeeze themselves into your life. Always saying something like "You're a goddess, we need to take you back to Olympus" (you brushed it off, saying that it was just a silly compliment) and even absurd sentences such as "You got Medusa's eyes" and "You're really Medusa's daughter!"

Tense.
That's one word to describe the atmosphere in the pantheon right now. Usually, the after ceremony gathering of the Twelve Olympians plus Hades, everyone would be drinking, having fun, and feasting their eyes on humans just for pure enjoyment. Even Hera doesn't know what to say, normally the one talking too much was her, often bragging about her dearest son, Kuroo Tetsuro.
Unlike others, Hermes is rather enjoying himself, sipping his wine every now and then. This day is truly a blessing. Ever since the Medusa incident, Zeus prevented all his might to keep Olympus on track. He had his sons take care of each problem before it aggravates.
Subsequently, Athena grew tired of the silence. Opting to break it, she was about to say what's been bugging her mind, but paused after locking eyes with the mischievous god. "You fancy these situations, don't you?" Athena is annoyed, no doubt.
Like the bastard he is, Hermes only snickered. "Perhaps."
"Hermes, you did something." Athena hypothesized, the wise goddess is somewhat sure of her assumption. Hermes is the most cunning of them all, the amount of times he tried to bring trouble was uncountable. But he was never held liable, taking in the fact that he did a lot of sacrifices for Mount Olympus. He's responsible for a lot of things too, in comparison of the added vigorous deities, he still remains as the best choice.
"Oh," Hermes acted dumbfounded, behaving as if he didn't know Athena will catch on sooner or later. "Did I?" He teased her. Athena isn't easy to annoy. She would rather ignore all the insignificant etiquettes of others than wasting her time expressing wrath. It's useless for pea-brains.
But with the recent events damaging her calm mind, Athena was easily irked, just as Hermes desired. Thinking of punching Hermes just to get over with it, Athena put on a smile. My punch won't hurt that much. She thought.
"Aletheia and her daughter are here." Ares announced while Athena was readying her fist, making the goddess halt and look at the two deities entering the pantheon.
Quivering in fear, Yachi held her dear mother's hand tightly. This meeting could change their lives after all. Bitterly regretting her actions earlier, Yachi reflected on her previous actions. She should've stayed quiet. If only Hermes didn't interfere, she wouldn't have said anything. Now everything is going downhill, because of a possibly wrong vision.
She just got her powers. Something could go wrong with it, right? But that never happened before. Well, Asami's case with Medusa was a first too. How would one be blinded that a mere immortal is living with them? Especially Zeus! It just doesn't make any sense. She's doomed, that's for sure.
Oh, just stop, stop, stop! Everything was too confusing. Yachi's truly conflicted, she just want pull through and move onto another day.
The two goddesses of truth bowed their heads down, showing their respect for the upper gods. “Good thing you made it promptly after we sent off Sakusa.” Zeus said with a smile. Sakusa Kiyoomi, son of Hygieia, currently under the supervision of Artemis. He was instructed to call Aletheia, after all, he originally planned on visiting to Earth after the ceremony. Artemis reasoned that, hence he can’t refuse.
"Shouldn't we call in Asami?" Demeter asked, feeling anxious. No one really knows what will happen. Demeter was only enjoying Asami's companion yesterday, now things are like this. If this doesn't go well, she'll lose another daughter. Oh, how will she just react to that?
"Before we do," Aphrodite finally spoke, standing up from her seat. "I just want to remind you all that we should set our feelings aside. Whatever the conclusion of this discussion may be, think before you act." She reminded.
This wasn't the first time a mortal was blessed by immortality, but requiring the discussion of the important gods of Olympus surely was. Meetings were typicaly in the hands of their trusted sons and daughters, however; this was too major to be dealt by them.
"Bring her in." Zeus ordered.
Three words made the room tenser. Every deity noticed how Poseidon stiffened, his agitation worsens minute by minute. It didn't help when Asami entered the pantheon, looking frightened. Poseidon locked eyes with her, his heart burning in discomfort. He never saw her like this before.
"Well?" Hera asked, raising her right eyebrow. These kind of situations bores the hell out of her. What Hera likes the most is being straight to the point. Just decide if you'll keep her or throw her out, that easy.
Yachi and Asami stared at each other. Yachi’s face was full of regret, asking for forgiveness. Asami only smiled, hoping that it will deliver her message. That it wasn’t Yachi’s fault, she would never blame her.
Aletheia stared into Asami’s soul, widening her eyes after a span of seconds. Yachi looked at her mother’s reaction, instantly panicking. “What my daughter saw is true.”
Quiet. Too quiet.
“Asami is not one of us.” Aletheia dropped the bomb. Yet no one spoke. Everything was back to square one. In spite of the fact that they prepared themselves for the truth, it was traumatizing.
Poseidon wants to protest, but if Aletheia already confirmed it, there was no way it’ll make a difference. Hades was on the verge of asking their opinions, if not accidentally making eye contact with an unoccupied space. He’s got a feeling that someone sneaked in and is currently listening to their discussion, someone being Suna Rintarou.
As he was walking towards it, his intuition suddenly disappeared. That only means one thing, Suna knew he saw him and left straight away. Hades shook his head, someone will be in trouble. Back to the real issue, “Now, what?” Hades broke the silence.
“Well..” Apollo is utterly dumbfounded. It feels surreal, is that even possible for a god? He can’t believe it. He wants to deny it even though it’s no use. “We can just make her one of us, right?”
“I don’t think we should.” Athena argued, eyes travelled to her before you know it. She is always determined, standing by her first decision no matter what happens. “We should presume that the real daughter is there, with Asami’s real parents. Switching them would be a better plan.” After what she said, almost every deity in the room swerved their opinions. Athena is the wisest, her words are always right.
“I stand by Athena.” Ares backed her up. Their opinions about this matter were alike, that’s surprising itself. They never get along; having opposite opinions is common for them. It’s truly shocking that they won’t debate over this.
“We should first check if the real one is alive and well. Before dealing with Asami. For now, I’ll reside her in my place.” Hestia said.
“No. Lock her up in the underworld.” Hera contradicted, studying Asami’s response to all of this. But all she can see in her face is blankness. Huh, Hera pondered, Affecting her already? “Hades would look after her better.”
Hestia frowned, offended by what Hera said. Just as she was about to retort, Zeus spoke up. “That’d be better. Does anyone disagree?” Zeus was emotionless. His voice is laced with seriousness, but it looks like he doesn’t really prefer that choice.
No one spoke up. Seems like they’re still processing what the hell just happened. “I’ve got no complaints.” Hephaestus spoke for the very first time, just wanting to go home. He isn’t really close with Asami, so he doesn’t care, at all. Being in the same room with the other upper gods makes him want to vomit.
“Then that’s it.” Zeus replied straightaway, evidently scared that he’ll lament his decision and change it abruptly. “May every Olympian send their desired deity in hopes of finding the real deity in Earth? Until they bring her back, they can’t come back to Olympus. So, I advise you to think wisely.”
Everyone was taken aback. Today is just full of surprises.
Tumblr media
“Everything will be fine.”
Lies. All lies, everything was obviously not fine. His closest friend, the one who's always there for him, is not fine. Regrets piled up in Yamaguchi's heart. Reminiscing to what happened back there, he regrets not doing anything. Those eyes, those eyes crying for help. He should've ran to her, he should've hugged her and tell her everything will be okay even though it won't. Because it was always like that. They’re always like that.
Everything will not be fine!
It's been hours since the big commotion, hours since the supposedly ‘meeting’ of the upper gods regarding the issue, Yamaguchi never heard any news since then. It was new, since every time there’s a meeting, words will circulate fast.
Hearing Hera's last words were only making him more anxious. Human world? The real daughter? That can't be it. He sincerely hopes that Yachi was mistaken. That this was all a big joke. The consequence will not be that bad compared to what can possibly happen to Asami.
Yamaguchi groaned in frustration. "Don't think too much." Hanamaki said, feeling guilty watching his fellow Aeolian suffer from his thoughts.
"Asami made a big impact to everyone, Yamaguchi. I don't think Zeus will throw her out that easy." Mattsun added. Seeing how Asami's close not only to a lot of superior gods, but also to Zeus' heart, he can easily turn her into an immortal like them, and then proceed like nothing happened. He did it a lot, so it won’t make sense if he won’t do it to Asami.
"Don't know. If all of them agree, then that will happen. Just like Shirabu’s?" Hanamaki said, making sure to choose his words carefully. He doesn't want to hurt Yamaguchi, but he doesn't want him to hope either. In a matter of fact, it's 50/50 right now. No one is sure what the outcome of their decision will be. Seeing it's been hours yet there still no rumors, it's better to expect for the worse.
With the two discussing what the outcome may be, Yamaguchi stayed silent. His mind was still replaying what happened in the courtyard, only snapping out when he heard a voice calling out to him. He frowned and looked around, not familiar with the voice at all. Down! Frustration was evident in whoever voice that is.
Yamaguchi looked down, only to see Oikawa Tooru, the mighty son of Athena, waving a hand to him like a fool. Oikawa gestured a wind after seeing Yamaguchi’s furrowed eyebrows.
Confusion immediately disappeared from Yamaguchi's face after understanding what he meant. Using the ability he received earlier, he made a wind current, and brought Oikawa up to the floating palace, Anemoi.
After a couple of seconds, Oikawa arrived, laughing at the enjoyable ride. It truly feels like flying, it might even be better! Matsukawa and Hanamaki looked at him disgustingly, not getting his questionable humor at all. "I have news." Oikawa said, switching to a serious demeanor. "It's about Asami."
The three stiffened. They were just talking about it earlier, obviously not prepared by whatever Oikawa might say. "Where did you get that news?" Yamaguchi asked. Oh how he hoped it's good news, or else he wouldn't know how to react at all.
“Well, I heard it from Kuroo who heard it from Bokuto who heard it from Atsumu who heard it from Suna.” Oikawa sat down the sturdy tree, glancing at the three’s confused faces. "You know Suna? Son of Hades." He asked, his companions nodding at him. “Heard it from him.”
“You could’ve just said that in the first place!” Hanamaki complained.
“Shut up Makki, I’m talking!” Oikawa yelled. "Well, he used his ability to sneak in the meeting. And gathered a bit of what they've discussed. He left after he accidentally locked eyes with his father, so it's not much." He chuckled, only imagining the wrath of Hades in his mind.
"Just get to the point, Oikawa. What do you know?" Mattsun asked, irritated by how chatty Oikawa is. He always get sidetracked, always adding useless information to whatever story he's saying. "The point, okay? The point." Repeating it since he know Oikawa doesn’t know how to listen.
"My Zeus, Mattsun!” Making a dramatic gesture, “I'm deeply hurt. I, the great god of wisdom and creativity, immediately went here after gathering information. Appreciate me first!" Complained Oikawa. Hanamaki can already tell he's lying, knowing his first go-to person is Iwaizumi.
“Oh, great god Oikawa Tooru, thank you very much for blessing us with your presence!” Hanamaki sarcastically praised. Yet Oikawa still loved it anyway. “Now just say it, Oikawa.”
Oikawa’s playful expression was immediately replaced with firmness. “It’s true.” He paused, wanting to be cautious. “What Yachi said.”
A sigh from Matsukawa,
Hanamaki’s startled facial expression,
And Yamaguchi’s lifeless eyes.
Every reaction they gave can tell how sadden they are with the news. “And.. Mother told me that,” Oikawa continued, staring at the cloud, unable to look at their faces. “The Olympians will send out deities to find the real daughter.”
Tumblr media
“Well, that was unexpected.” Sakusa Kiyoomi whispered to himself while wandering at the park. “A mortal, huh.”
Silently enjoying his free time away from the deities, Sakusa took time in strolling away. He has plenty of time to waste before proceeding to do his duties, the reason why he came down in the first place.
However, he was absolutely not expecting to bump into someone. His eyebrows instantly met, he was already walking slowly. How can a person be so dumb to bump into him?
“Oh, sorry.”
Oh, sorry? His frown only worsens when they sprinted away after saying their apologies to him. Sakusa gazed at the person before him, the aura is different compared to other humans he interacted with.
It feels like..
Like he’s encountering a..
His eyes widen in realization, still staring at the person who’s almost out of his sight now.
A deity.

So I just saw the update launcher and I'm on mobile so please forgive the mistakes but like; We just know Lumine and Aether came from a different world, yeah? (For the sake of this just say yeah) and so the launcher associates Lumine with the moon and Aether with the sun yeah? And I guess it could kinda match the way the story's going too (moon dissappear aka new moon, changes sides, so on. Sun chases after moon, so on). So I'm not saying they're linked to celestial bodies but im saying it would be really cool -Lucky
Is the update launcher different on mobile? I don’t have the storage space for genshin on my phone so I’ve never checked. The 1.3 launcher for pc had Xiao with the lantern festival but I don’t think I’ve seen what you’re describing. Unless I’m being dumb and misunderstanding haha. I seriously need to sleep, I’ve been awake for way too long.
---
Yep, I believe they came from a different world. That’s cute though, Lumine is the moon while Aether is the sun. The amount of theories you can go through that idea and how it relates to the story (PLUS THE DAINSLEIF QUEST??). Honestly, whenever people bring up the sun and moon comparison, my dumb brain immediately thinks of Haikyuu and I don’t know why. I haven’t watched Haikyuu since it first came out (I’m sorry;;). All I imagine is that Tsukki and Hinata scene where Tsukki says he’s Hinata’s shadow or something like that.
You know what’s even worse. My uncultured self doesn’t even know Tsukki’s full name. I only call him that because that’s what everyone else calls him haha.
But getting back on track, I think you’re right Lucky, on how the moon disappears or there’s a potential new moon. Or I suppose star is more accurate considering the twins are depicted as stars in the prologue trailers/cutscenes. Not to mention one of the updates was called “A new star approaches”. Or something like that. But we are chasing after our twin. I remember in the Dainsleif quest (I have a whole lore post that I’m gonna drop soon) mentioned that the abyss order might be leading us down a certain path or re-directing us. I feel like Lumine is doing this on purpose. To be fair, I don’t think the traveler is a god or anything like the archons but I don’t think it’s too but of a stretch to believe we’re something mythical.
ALSO APPARENTLY, I JUST HEARD FROM MY FRIEND BUT CELESTIA IS GETTING CLOSER TO FALLING TOWARDS TEYVAT WITH EACH NEW UPDATE. WHAT-
---
Also, I’m so sweaty for Xiao I’m doing the random event friendship quest loop. I WANT TO SEE HIS PENSIVE EMOTE. How does the wiki already have friendship 6 lines? I wish I had that strong of a dedication to being a xiao simp;; I am but a fraud.
I will definitely share pictures when I get the emote (I remember getting an ask for this. Don’t worry anon, I see you. I just need to get to lvl 4 first haha). I should also get most of the leftover voice lines if anyone is interested in his cn -> en translations. I can already say, his “hello” line sounds so different in cn.
Also this is cute. His feet don’t touch the ground haha.
Tumblr media
I’m still finalizing my build for him and trying to scrap together enough mora to level my talents up but I might just say fuck it and post my build anyways. I’ll be back to answer more asks but I need to go out for a bit. I’m gonna make cookies today and I don’t have butter. See you all later and I hope you have a good week.

2020 Tokyo Olympics
The 2020 Tokyo Olympics may be one of the most iconic sporting competitions globally, but it’s also an event imbued with a lot of cultural elements stemming from the host country. Let’s take a look at a few memorable moments that had happened during the Olympics so far:
Blue and white...humans
Did you remember the scene where a few people dressed as blue and white pictograms during the opening ceremony? It all started because of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, due to the ever-present language barrier. To ensure smooth communication, the designers back then racked their brains and came up with pictograms - simple stylised graphics which anyone can easily comprehend. This comical skit, which involved theatrics similar to bunraku (文楽) and kabuki (歌舞伎), definitely paid homage to its creative creators while making the Japanese culture shine even brighter!
Tumblr media
There’s something about the Olympic rings...
That’s right! The Olympic rings that were set up by ‘carpenters’ as a traditional Japanese work song was sung during the ceremony were actually handcrafted, a nod towards the wood carpentry scene in Japan. What’s more unbelievable was that the wood was from trees planted by Olympians during the 1954 Tokyo Games to commemorate the event. Who would have known that those trees would be used 67 years later for a slightly different purpose?
Tumblr media
Did we hear that right?
Some of the background music played throughout the Games probably sounded familiar to you. The music/songs were in fact from well-known Japanese video games and anime! From the grand Overture: Roto’s Theme from Dragon Quest (ドラゴンクエスト) blasted during the opening ceremony, to the spirited Guren no Yumiya (紅蓮の弓矢) from Attack on Titan (進撃の巨人) played during one of the archery matches, witness this once in a blue moon treat unique to Japan! Other notable songs that could be heard include Victory Fanfare from Final Fantasy (ファイナルファンタジー), Imagination from Haikyuu!! (ハイキュー!!), Blue Bird from Naruto (ナルト) and more!
Tumblr media
Now that’s all for this short blog post on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics! Until next time :)

Looking down at the minimalist card, she couldn’t help but release a hesitant sigh as she brought her gaze back up to look at the intimidating building before her. It was a week before the semester ended, and for her photography class she needed to take a meaningful photo that held a deep sense of understanding, and was open to various amounts of interpretations.
It wasn’t necessarily a hard project, but with her other finals creeping up on her she had ended up pushing this one to the very end; and now? She was in a pinch to find something that could help her leave a lasting impression. Despite not having photography as a major, she took the class more so to improve her skills for her hobby. It was uncouth, especially in consideration of tuition costs, but there was just something about having at least one class she could fall back to when her brain was depleted from energy from factual and information overload.
Another sigh came from her lips as she melted into her coat. Her features practically melting with her as she couldn’t help but feel as though she was being an inconvenience.
In her search for a perfect idea or motivation for her project, her friend Akaashi had offered his help in her quest to find something that could spark her interests.
She agreed, happy to have one of her good friends accompany her on her journey; but when he gave her his business card all thoughts went blank as she stared at the card in hand.
Akaashi Keiji | Model
xxx-xxx-xxxx | [email protected] | 22-27, Nishishinjuku 7-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
“M...Model?”
Her question went unanswered as she found herself talking to no one. The thought struck her as she felt a sudden weight fall onto her shoulders. Her phone buzzing as she numbly pulled it out before reading the message sent to her.
[Akaashi Keiji]
I apologize for leaving abruptly, but I had an appointment to head off to. Were you alright when I left you? You were spacing out so much you didn’t even respond to me when I called your name.
Flustered, she quickly typed out a response as she had pocketed the card.
[Me]
Oh! no worries ^^;; I just had a lot on my mind is all!
»»————- ♡ ————-««
[Akaashi Keiji]
Is that so? Please take good care of yourself alright? I wouldn’t want you falling ill before you finish the semester. On another note, please text me when you’re next availability is. I want to make sure I clear out a day for you.
»»————- ♡ ————-««
[Me]
! ; o; Akaashi you don’t need to clear out a day! But I promise I’ll let you know! You should also let me know your schedule so I can work around it too!
»»————- ♡ ————-««
[Akaashi Keiji]
Nonsense. I want to help you make sure you ace this project. ^^
Utterly shocked, she couldn’t fight the blush that took over her cheeks as she reread his messages. His sweet words melting her heart even more as she quickly pocketed the device. She couldn’t handle another text from him at the moment, not with her mind swirling with the newfound information she gathered. Though as the days dragged on and her deadline drawing near, she couldn’t help but forget about the card....
....until she found herself staring up at the complex he lived in. She was hesitant, that was for sure. Despite talking it out and having a set game plan for what they were going to do and what areas they would head to, she couldn’t help but feel a pit of overwhelming dread hit her when she made her way towards his apartment complex.
“What even...” She murmured as she shuffled into the building. Her form quickly hobbling towards the elevators as she scrunched in on herself. Once inside of the elegant looking elevator, she quickly sent him a text of her arrival. The thought of being alone with the gorgeous male sent her nerves on end as she stumbled out of the elevator and began her little trek towards his door.
She knew it shouldn’t have surprised her to hear that her college friend was a model, but to see the accomplishments of it really had her reeling in her thoughts.
As she walked, she hadn’t noticed the figure standing at the door she was walking towards. A soft and adoring smile on their features as they observed her murmur to herself before finally calling out.
“(y/n)-san.”
Immediately, her gaze flew up to meet cool gunmetal blue and a sudden yelp of surprise came from her as she jumped subtly.
“A-Akaashi-san! What are you doing out here?”
Confusion was written in her voice as she felt her heart beat erratically in her chest. Despite wearing simple clothes, the style and fit of the clothes made the appeal to him grow exponentially that she began to take notice of his physical features even more.
“I felt it would be better to greet you out here than to let you wander the halls and potentially get lost.”
Despite the motherly tone in his voice, the hint of a teasing tone was also found laced in between as he gave her another sweet smile. Pushing himself off his door, he made his way towards her, gently ruffling her hair in an affectionate manner before leading her into his apartment.
The action itself had her eyes widen as her cheeks darkened in color. It wasn’t exactly uncommon for Akaashi to be a little affectionate with her, but to be greeted by it when they first met up? It was almost unfair how smooth he was.
The stammering in her heart didn’t let up as she stepped into his home. Shoes slipping off at the entrance as she took in the simplistic yet cozy apartment. Even with the simple theme that went on, there were little touches of Akaashi that just made her smile. The accents of his favorite color. Simple yet meaningful memories of his time in the volleyball club back in high school. It all reminded her that even if her thoughts portrayed her friend as a model, he was still her friend Akaashi.
“Would you like some tea before we head out?”
His voice cut through her thoughts quickly, and she scrambled out a quick yet as she turned to face him. The look on his face further adding to her ongoing crush with the other as he went to prepare a cup. Once his attention was off of her, she went around exploring the little details of his apartment. Admiring the pictures and giggling at the more comedic pictures with him and who she assumed to be Bokuto.
“He’s an energetic one. His emotions were always sporadic when we played.”
Flushing at how close he sounded, she willed herself to keep still as she could feel his breath fan her neck as he joined her to look at his old memories.
“He...seems likes a really fun kind of guy...”
The comment came out soft, though it was truthful. After hearing all of the stories about Bokuto and his emotional roller coaster, she couldn’t help but want to meet the human embodiment of energy.
“You can meet him one of these days. I believe he’ll be free from Volleyball practice eventually.”
The slight tease in his voice had her smile at the tone he held for his friend, and she couldn’t help but look up at the other with her own smile on her face.
“I’d love that.”
Despite her answer being purely platonic the comment he made after had her mind short circuit as she stared at him baffled.
“However, you have to go with me if you’re going to meet him.”
She processed the words in her mind. Once, twice, slowly, quickly; any which way she could she did to make sure she wasn’t reading it wrong. Seeing her expression, Akaashi couldn’t help but chuckle before leaning down to place a chaste kiss to the corner of her mouth before pulling back. A light blush on his own features as he spoke.
“I suppose I should’ve been more blunt... but I did enjoy watching your reactions, (y/n). The truth is, I like you. I’ve actually liked you for a long time.”
If anything, both the statement and kiss had her stare at him in utter shock. Her brain working hard to work through the information it was being sent, and before she could even think her body moved on it’s own as she pressed her own lips against his.
The action further deepening the blush on the male’s face as his eyes widened briefly before melting as he loosely wrapped his arms around her waist. Cheeks flushed, she shyly looked down as she fiddled with the strap to her camera bag.
“I-I like you too Akaashi, and h-honestly I’m kind of...still processing this?”
The comment had a light chuckle escape his lips as her heart swelled with affection.
“I suppose that could happen. Well, let’s at least sit you down so you can finish processing while you have your tea. I do hope I didn’t completely fry your brain though. We still have to go to those locations today.”
Nodding, she mutely followed him to the small island in his kitchen before seating herself down. The steaming mug that was set before her sent a feeling of comfort through her body as she went to take a sip. The tea helping to soothe and calm her mind and heart. Though when she opened her eyes she couldn’t help but become starstruck.
The look Akaashi was giving her was...so loving. So loving to the point she almost dropped her mug as she hurriedly struggled to get out her camera.
“D-Don’t move! Please try to keep that expression!”
Shocked, he was startled by her sudden movements, but did as told as he couldn’t help but feel his own heart swell at her animated movements and flustered appearance as she pulled out and set up her camera.
“Just...pretend as if the camera wasn’t here.”
Absolutely amused, he gave her a nod. With that, she snapped a couple of pictures. Checking in between as he took a couple of sips from his own mug before leaning over to peer at one photo she took in her flurry of motions.
“I...I think I want to use this one...”
Her voice was soft, but the amount of affection that dripped from her words had his heart practically implode with love as he was shown the photo. It was a simple photo, one that showcased his purest emotions and smile for her mid laugh at her cute antics.
“Then I presume we don’t need to go out?”
Subtly disappointed, he was ready to hear the day end, but was rather surprised with her statement as she looked up at him with a shy, yet sweet gaze.
“Actually...I still want to go out and take photos....of you.”
Wide eyed and stunned into silence, the male couldn’t help but stare at her before exploding into his own expression of a bright grin as he leaned over the counter to press a kiss against her lips. His words soft as he spoke against them,
“Then I’m happy to be your personal model for the day, and hopefully for a good long while...”

Title: Touchdown Show: Haikyuu!! Pairing: Iwaizumi/Oikawa Summary: based on the tweet by _lumielle where Iwaizumi and Oikawa meet at a football game for the first time and the kiss camera is a thing A/N: It’s pretty short, I could have done so much more with it b/c it’s so cute!! But student life and work are hitting me hard r/n :’) So, please enjoy!
You can read it on AO3 if you want to! :)
Oikawa wasn’t one for American football, or sports other than volleyball in general. But he, as well, wasn’t one to say no to his friends when they kept on begging him to accompany them to this game and they even bought him the ticket.
So, now Oikawa was sitting in the sun, sweat already forming under his shirt and he watched too many men running after a brown egg and crashing into each other. Oikawa had bought himself some fries and a tonic water to keep himself hydrated in this weather but mainly to have something to do with his hands. He kept on screwing the cap of his bottle on and off and ever so slowly ate his fries.
But looking at his friends Matsukawa and Hanamki made it all worth. They kept on yelling and screaming and literally felt the pain of the players who were going down. Oikawa smiled. Such dorks.
The first break was uneventful, and Oikawa listened to his friends talking about different tactics how their team could win. But it was boring none the less.
It was a way different story when the halftime break was announced, and people got all cheery. Oikawa looked around and when he was about to ask Hanamaki what was this all about, the big screens to each side of the field displayed a huge heart and a camera zoomed in to couples.
Oikawa was astonished by the great cheers whenever a couple kissed, and the animated heart made beating movements. Oikawa wouldn’t tell this to anybody but deep down he was a big sappy goofball and was a fan of these totally non-romantic-but-still-romantic things. Maybe, one day, he will have a partner to be as sappy as he could.
Hanamki dragged him back to reality when he pushed his elbow into his arm.
“Ouch!” Oikawa grumbled and shot a glare at Hanamki who in turn just grinned at him at pointed at the monitors. Matsukawa leaned forward and held his hand in front of his grinning face.
Confused Oikawa’s eyes found the monitors again and looked at his own reflection. That’s how his hair looked like right now? His gaze moved to his left where the other person on the screen was shown and he almost lost it.
His head flew around to the person next to him. How could he not realize this absolute handsome man next to him? And they even sat so close to each other?! No wonder, it was so hot.
Oikawa wanted to say to the person that it was okay if they just waved it aside but in secret, he didn’t want to do that either, so all he could do was stare. The other person found his eyes and his shy smile got Oikawa melted. The person shrugged and gave him an inquiring look.
Oikawa didn’t think about anything at all and just nodded. That’s all that his stupid brain could generate at times.
They didn’t even have to lean that much into each other, or rather his neighbor didn’t have to since Oikawa wasn’t able to do anything, and their lips brushed against each other. Their lips were smooth and warm, and it didn’t even last a second, but Oikawa swore that was the softest kiss any human has ever received.
Oikawa looked stunned at the other person who gave him a cheeky grin and turned away again to their neighbor. Oikawa couldn’t believe that this just happened. He turned to Hanamaki and Matsukawa who suppressed their laughter the best they could and Hanamaki patted his shoulder.
Oikawa buried his face in his hands to comprehend what just happened.
“You okay?”
Oikawa looked up, feeling his face heating up when he looked at his neighbor he just kissed.
“Huh? Oh, uhm, yeah, sure. Are you?”
Oikawa received another heart-melting grin. “I hope it was okay … to … you know … do that and stuff.” They scratched the back of their head, looking a little lost themselves. “I’m Iwaizumi by the way.”
“Yeah, yeah, no worries. It was fine.” Oikawa cleared his throat. Fine? Like hell it was fine. It was the most perfect thing ever happening to him and he couldn’t hold a decent conversation for heaven’s sake.
“And, uh, Oikawa.” He mumbled, and Iwaizumi leaned in a little closer.
“Sorry, what was that?”
Oikawa’s heart made a backflip and leaned over to Iwaizumi that he almost touched his ear with his lips.
“Oikawa. My name is Oikawa Tooru.”
Iwaizumi leaned back and grinned at him. “Nice to meet you.”
The siren announced the third quarter and Oikawa lost the chance to say something else. People ran back to their seats, almost trampling over each other and screaming at each other. That’s another reason he didn’t like to go to open sports events. They are like uncultured pigs already.
The next two quarters flew by way quicker than the first two. Oikawa glanced over to Iwaizumi every couple of seconds and ran imaginative conversations in his head they could have had if he would just say something.
When Oikawa finally built up enough courage to finally say something, the favored team of his friends shot a goal, had a touchdown, threw a three-pointer or whatever they do to get points. The people around him sprang to their feet, yelling and screaming.
Confused and alarmed by the noise, pressed his hands onto his ears. He couldn’t see anything because everyone around him was standing, he couldn’t hear because everyone was yelling and whistling. He felt awful. This was not a place he wanted to be.
Bent forward, Oikawa crawled through the masses and searched for the nearest exit he, fortunately, found rather fast. Inside the air was cool and refreshing and best of all, it was much more silent. Oikawa decided to wait for a couple of minutes for the people to calm down and then head back.
Unfortunately for him, Oikawa didn’t pay attention to the time and after a minute, the siren blared again, indicating the end of the game. Within seconds people came rushing out and running out of the building. Oikawa was pushed against the wall and couldn’t move an inch.
Internally Oikawa damned all these people but most of all he damned himself for not paying attention at all today and running into obstacle after obstacle because of his own mistakes.
After about 10 minutes, the masses finally flattened, so Oikawa at least could move around for a bit and he got a hold of his cell phone. The reception probably would be bad with all these people, therefore, Oikawa texted Hanamaki where to meet up.
The message didn’t get send and Oikawa mumbled curses under his breath. He had to get out of here before he could even attempt to meet up with them. He sighed.
The exits were probably still overflowing with people so that he decided to go to the bathroom in hope it will be clearer when he comes out.
The nearest bathroom had a queue that lasted way beyond the next corner, so Oikawa’s new quest was to find a bathroom he could actually use within 5 minutes or something. He walked around for some time until he reached the bathroom probably farthest away from the exits since they were almost vacant.
“Yes!” Oikawa breathed out and walked inside. He looked into the mirror and made a face when he saw his hair. It was flattened and tousled and made him look like he just sat in the sun for an hour and had to push his way through thousands of people. Hah. Oikawa ran through it with one hand to get them styled more acceptable for the time.
Oikawa turned around and wanted to use one of the bathroom stalls when the door opened and, Oikawa thanked every god he could think of in this moment, Iwaizumi walked into the bathroom.
He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Oikawa. It was awkward, and Oikawa couldn’t believe that his self-proclaimed small talk/sweet talk master ass couldn’t produce any comprehensive sentence.
“Well, uhm, hi.”
Great. That’s a start, Oikawa guessed. Iwaizumi nodded.
“Hi.” He gestured at the stalls. “Uhm, were you going to use them or are they occupied?”
Oikawa turned his head around, suddenly unaware where they were.
“Oh, uhm, no. I just wanted … have some water. Y’know.”
“Alright.” He nodded again and passed Oikawa. Oikawa swore, the bathroom was not really spacious, but Iwaizumi walked even closer than needed. The door got locked and Oikawa threw another glance into the mirror. He looked too awful.
He splashed some water on his face and rubbed off the sweat of his arm and when he dried his hands with the paper towels, Iwaizumi left the stall. He proceeded to go to the sink and wash his hands.
An awkward silence followed.
‘Say something, say something, say. Anything.’ Oikawa repeated in his head like a mantra, but no words left his mouth. When Iwaizumi was done washing their hands, he looked up at Oikawa.
“Well, then, bye. I guess.”
Oikawa’s heart sank into his boots. No, no, no, this is not how it should be. Iwaizumi turned around and was about to leave the bathroom.
“Wai-“, Oikawa made a step forward, finally being able to produce sounds with his mouth again, but failed to notice the wet toilet towels on the ground. He lost his footing, scrambled forward and got a grip at the corner of the sink, which was even more wet, causing him to slide off and with the last stretch of energy he had left, pushed himself around, so would at least land on his back instead with his face down.
But the fall never came. Two hands grabbed him under his arms and held him tight above the ground.
“Woah! Everything okay?”
Oikawa blinked. He pushed his head into his neck to find himself looking upside down at Iwaizumi. His deep brown eyes were fixed on his and what would Oikawa give just to get another kiss from those soft lips.
“Yes,” he said with a raspy voice. He was pushed up until he could stand on his own feet again.
“Uhm, thanks.” Oikawa fumbled at his shirt and pushed his hair back again. He gave up on it. He just had to accept that he had to look like an utter buffoon in front of this gorgeous, muscular, drop-dead handsome person.
“You sure? Looked a little … Did you sprain something?”
Oikawa shook his head. The ground could swallow him right now, please. He covered his eyes with one hand and Iwaizumi instinctively stepped in closer.
“Hey, hey. Tell me what’s wrong.”
Oikawa couldn’t believe he made such a fool out of himself. He held one hand in front of him to keep Iwaizumi at least a few feet away so he can regain his composure. Oikawa took a deep breath and when he finally was able to look up again he knew this was his last shot.
“Phone number.”
Wow. Great.
“Huh?” Iwaizumi blinked a few times.
“Can I have your phone number? Please.” Oikawa cleared his throat feeling the heat creeping onto his face again.
Iwaizumi exhaled.
“Thank god, you asked. I just couldn’t come up with.”
