And from another post I reblogged earlier today, I discovered the existence of "TransSisters: the Journal of Transsexual Feminism", which has 10 issues from 1993-1995, and includes multiple interviews with Leslie Feinburg and other queer feminists / activists of the 90s!
Here's a link to all 10 issues of TransSisters, plus a 1996 "look back at" by one of the writers after the journal ended, you can find all 10 issues on the Internet Archive Here !

October, 25th 2023:
"I began to dawdle over breakfast during shift changes, asking both waitresses questions. After weeks of inquiries, they invited me to a demonstration, outside Kleinhan's Music Hall, protesting the Israeli war against Egypt and Syria. I was particularly interested in that protest. The state of Israel had been declared shortly before my birth. In Hebrew school I was taught "Palestine was a land without peo-ple, for a people without a land." That phrase haunted me as a child. I pictured ears with no one in them, and movies projected on screens in empty theaters. When I checked a map of that region of the Middle East in my school geography textbook, it was labeled Palestine, not Israel. Yet when I asked my grandmother who the Palestinians were, she told me there were no such people. The puzzle had been solved for me in my adolescence. I developed a strong friendship with a Lebanese teenager, who explained to me that the Palestinian people had been driven off their land by Zionist settlers, like the Native peoples in the United States. I studied and thought a great deal about all she told me. From that point on I staunchly opposed Zionist ideology and the occupation of Palestine. So I wanted to go to the protest. However, I feared the demonstration, no matter how justified, would be tainted by anti-Semitism. But I was so angered by the actions of the Israeli government and military, that I went to the event to check it out for myself. That evening, I arrived at Kleinhan's before the protest began. Cops in uniforms and plainclothes surrounded the music hall. I waited impatiently for the protesters to arrive. Suddenly, all the media swarmed down the street. I ran after them. Coming over the hill was a long column of people moving toward Kleinhan's. The woman who led the march and spoke to reporters proudly told them she was Jewish! Others held signs and banners aloft that read: "Arab Land for Arab People!" and "Smash Anti-Semitism!" Now those were two slogans I could get behind! I wanted to know who these people were and where they had been all my life! Hours later I followed the group back to their headquarters. Orange banners tacked up on the walls expressed solidarity with the Attica prisoners and the Vietnamese. One banner particularly haunted me. It read: Stop the War Against Black America, which made me realize that it wasn't just distant wars that needed opposing. Yet although I worked with two members of this organization, I felt nervous that night. These people were communists, Marxists! Yet I found it easy to get into discussions with them. I met waitresses, factory workers, secretaries, and truck drivers. And I decided they were some of the most principled people I had ever met. For example, I was impressed that many of the men I spoke with talked to me about the importance of fighting the oppression of gays and lesbians, and of all women. Yet I knew they thought they were talking to a straight man" Transgender Warriors (1996) Leslie Feinberg

Note
Out of curiosity, how far ahead are you on the comic? I mean, you must have it all planned and written out, but I imagine that you are drawing the future of Aurora even while we're reading it.
So is Arc 2 already illustrated and ready for upload while you're on like Arc 5 or something? I'm by no means undermining your need for a break; I'm shocked that you've been uploading continuously for over 4 years at this point. I'm just interested to know how long it takes a person to make something this great. And also if you change any details in the final edit?
Basically: what's the workflow like?
Also I think you low-key inspired me to pick up painting as a hobby. I'm ready to pour so much money into creating things that I know I'll hate. :)
God, arc 5? That's a very generous assessment of how fast I can draw!
Typically, when the comic is updating regularly, I keep a buffer of 10 to 20 completed pages. Right now, in the interest of taking a break, the buffer is 0 completed pages.
Chapter 1 of Arc 2 is completely storyboarded, meaning it's sketched out, the dialog is all mostly finalized barring last-minute rephrasements, etc. It can be read in its current form, it just looks unpretty. In fact, just for fun, here's a sneak peek!
Tumblr media
In the next month I'll go through and finalize as many pages from this chapter as possible - which means locking down the panel borders, fleshing out the backgrounds, lining, shading, coloring, polish, etc. - which will be the process of building up a new buffer for when the comic starts back up again in January. During that time, I'll also be storyboarding Chapter 2 and as much of the following parts as I can manage.
I have the next several chapters and sub-arcs planned out in loose timelines - event A happens at location B leading to consequences C and D, stuff like that. Chapter 2, being the closest, is a little more fleshed-out, with a more detailed bullet-pointed timeline and various character ideas I've had that might or might not make it into the final version.
Tumblr media
What exactly the chapter breakdown is going to look like is a little more complicated. Initially I'd planned for Chapter 1 to be low-stakes downtime and Chapter 2 to quickly kick off the high-octane adventure again, but when I started bullet-pointing out the stuff I wanted to do in Chapter 2, I ended up with a big pile of slower-paced character moments I thought were well worth exploring, so the runtimes might stretch a little.
Translating those brainstormed notes into storyboards and dialog is what I would classify as the "writing" part of this process. It happens at an erratic pace largely determined by the whims of whatever muse decides to get me in a headlock that day; sometimes I go weeks with no storyboarding progress, sometimes I hammer out fifteen pages in one day.
It's kinda like weaving, to me. The soon-to-be-arriving parts of the story are the most finalized, the most densely woven. A little ways beyond that, things get looser - some patterns may be locked down, but the actual work that'll hold it together hasn't been done yet. And in the far-flung future arcs, it's just the basic bones of the story and a pile of the threads I've planned to use. I know the shape of it, but in order for it to be fun and engaging for me to make it, I need to give myself room to be creative when I'm putting the whole thing together.
I actually have a file called the "Toolbox" that contains every random character or subplot idea I've had, and sometimes when I'm debating where to go with a chunk of story, I'll crack it open and scan through to see if anything jumps out begging to be used. Lotta fun stuff in there that may or may not ever see the light of day. Dropping stuff in the Toolbox is one of the most fun and freeing parts of the process for me!

more details of experiment edits on AAC:
first i will show 3 pictures of Supercore 50:
how it looks automatically without any edits
my current grid set that i use for communication
the version of this grid set i added just to try colour changes and other visual edits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image description: 3 images of the same vocabulary grid set in Grid 3, called Supercore 50. the first image has rounded corners on buttons, a white background, bigger spacing, and text labels on every button with text above symbol. second image is similar looking with same rounded buttons, but less spacing. is different by black background, text label removed from folder and menu/function buttons, text below symbol. third image is very different looking from other two. same black background, menu and main folder buttons have black background with simple coloured symbol, mainly yellow. no folder buttons have text label, and many have simplified symbol. all button colours are altered in tone and shade. all darker colours, easier on the eye. the "little words" buttons are changed from almost white to dark grey with yellow text. End ID.]
here is explanation:
added new version of my grid set (Supercore 50) to just play around with and change colours and see what works. didn't want to mess up my actual grid set with all my personal edits and added vocabulary. didn't go to bother of making it all "uniform" across the whole device (because is time consuming and i will have to do that eventually on my real grid set).
mostly just tried out different colours. and how to make home page as easy to visual process as possible. didn't change colour coding (for example pronouns yellow, verbs green, adjectives blue, little words grey-ish - that all stay. just change tone of colours to not "attack" eyes).
eyes can't cope with a lot of "whiteness" in any colours, especially on a screen where there is so much white/blue light already. makes much sensory overload and bad headaches. pastel colours or very bright neon or light blue/purple/yellow/grey... not fun. brain simply skips over any blocks of those colours cause it can't get past whiteness to see what is on the button.
in Grid 3 edit menu you can change colour of button - there is a palette of pre-made colours, but you can also do "adjust colour" and choose custom colour there. and there is something called "button styles" so you can just edit one button how you want, then say "update style" and it will change all buttons with that "style".
i worked out that turning down "saturation" and "luminosity" helps me a lot. then the colour doesn't "attack" my eyes so much, so i can actually search the screen for the symbol/word i want. better visual scanning ability.
also removed borders on buttons. just adds extra stuff for eyes to get "stuck" on. it looks cleaner without border.
On Grid 3 there is also different button "themes" available (different from button styles), which changes the entire automatic look of the entire grid set with just change that. changed from "modern" to "blocky" theme. because there is a slight "colour gradient" on buttons with "modern" theme (I think🤷🏻‍♂️). meaning there is more highlight at the top of the button on more shadow/darker at the bottom. makes it hard to see the symbols and text because it is not "flat" looking. to me the "modern" theme looks slightly bumpy and 3D, the "blocky" theme looks flat. and brain can't process 3D (especially not at same time as try to search for words and scan screen).
i also made the "menu" buttons or "grid functions" buttons have black background (to match black background of entire grid set), with symbol in yellow. and remove text labels for these buttons and some folder buttons. this helps because then only the word buttons "jump out" at brain. so there is less "bulk" of the screen to process. and the "function" buttons have only simple symbol, so can easily find!
this is all still only changed in the blank version of Supercore 50 that I added for this specific purpose. it is a HUGE change to my AAC. so i can't just change it all at once. it will have to happen in stages. and i am still not 100% sure of all the changes. (for example i don't really know what to do with the folders. don't like how they look right now...). so i have to be very confident in a change before i can make my real grid have it.
(also there is still folders and buttons i haven't changed at all. just mostly did home grid so i can see the difference. still working on it and will be long time until ready to change my real AAC).
i will keep updating on the changes!

TRIGUN ULTIMATE OVERHAUL JULY UPDATE
OVERHAUL UPDATE 07/07/23 - The Japanese Scans.
Hey everyone and welcome to this month's update!
As has been customary the last half a year, work is still coming along slowly, all except for scanning. We do have our occasional spikes of productivity here and there, but the online presence is a constantly trickle of work, something I personally as the runner of the blog am enjoying a lot.
One of the main things currently being worked on right now are the Japanese scans, as we decided to use our scans to help out on that front as well. It comes with its own fair share of preparation, changing how we do our page cleaning and increasing the amount storage required since we'll now be having three versions of the manga lying around.
For those not interested in the technicalities, there's nice 2.0 pages below for you to check out! Beyond that, thank you so much for following and supporting our project!
~~
Read more about the process below:
In order for us to have Japanese scans ready as well, we need to firstly make that version before removing all text. That means it begins as usual; removing paper textures, balancing the tones, repairing page damage, making the two page spreads seamless, general page quality check, and lastly page resizing.
We save the Japanese pages as such and then start on another version where we remove the Japanese text, restoring art covered by text and the bubbles themselves. Then we save the fully cleaned pages in original size to keep the clean art for artist purposes and keep resized versions for typesetting for any language.
We'll still be doing page number typesetting for the Japanese versions, as we've used the Japanese Omnibuses for our scans and to reflect our singular volume release form, the page numbers have to match that of singular volumes.
~~
Below we want to show a few examples of how the Japanese scans that we will release will look like:
Tumblr media
Right now the preparations for the Japanese scans is slow, as the idea to release them as well came later. That means that the raw scans were already deleted from personal storage, leaving us with only fully cleaned pages, and therefore we had to redownload the raws. They had to be balanced again but it was easy enough to add the repair work from the fully cleaned pages, as it was simply a matter of copying and pasting chunks of cleaned pages onto the new ones.
~~
Colored pages aren't as easy to work with, however, as it is harder to reach the exact same tone. Luckily there are few of those that require us to put old edits onto new scans. Many of them are like the page below:
Tumblr media
Until now, only TriMax Vol 1 is ready in the Japanese version and TriMax Vol 2 is currently in works. Once we reach three chapters into TriMax Vol 3 we'll be able to follow the new cleaning plan and no extra restoration work will be required.
~~
Here's a few more examples of the new scans, take note of the readability of more messy text like scribbles and sound effects:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All the Japanese scans will be released only in PDF format in the future. We'll only share the PNGs of the pages on direct personal request.
~~
Anyway, that's all for today's update. Time for me to go back to blasting PetroDragonic Apocalypse on repeat for another few hours.
If there are any topics that you want to see for future updates, don't hesitate to let us know!
SEE YOU GUYS NEXT MONTH!

Just another one of those posts where I do a bit of a general update on a few things. This time opening with an edited scan of Maomao from Nekokurage's Kusuriya no Hitorigoto manga adaptation to get your attention. Boo!
I've been reading the Kusuriya no Hitorigoto light novels and enjoying them in the sense that I think preteen me would have liked them. I started reading the LNs earlier this year (as they're great for reading in waiting rooms and the like thanks to their short format) and I think the LNs are definitely my preferred version of the story. The anime has a nice OP theme but is fairly middling otherwise and I don't go much on the art in either mang adaptation (though Nekokurage's art has improved recently and Maomao looks less like a giant-headed baby doll in the Animate bonus cards per my scan above). Maomao is the real draw in all versions so obviously I preordered her Nendo the first moment I could — bring on May 2024!
Tumblr media
Speaking of translated light novels you can buy right now, the first part of the Oguni no Koushaku Reijō wa Tekikoku nite Kakusei Suru light novel was just released as A Young Lady Finds Her True Calling Living with the Enemy Volume #1 by Cross Infinite World (see here). It's a solid story that doesn't overstay its welcome and Bertine's business acumen is just *chefs kiss* for those after a competent heroine.
Once the second and final part of this is out, I'd love to see Cross Infinite World pick up another short (but unrelated) PASH! Books publication, Shiitagerareta Shuusai Reijou to Ringoku no Haraguro Kenkyuusha-sama no Amayaka na Yakusou Jikkenshitsu. The web novel version was quite solid but I haven't read the printed version yet. Yeah I like science ladies, what can I say? It would be so good to keep seeing interesting titles for girls and women being picked up for English release because I tire of isekai villainess stories (which imho peaked years ago with Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou) and there are some great little tales out there that do things a bit differently & just need to be shown to the right audience.
Tumblr media
I'm so excited for Metallic Rouge in early January! While it used to be that getting an original property from BONES was always exciting, it has been a while since they've created anything I've really cared about but I'm hoping this will break the drought. If a show has Izubuchi, Kawamoto, Yamada contributing then you know I've got to be there. Plus a couple of lady leads in a SF setting? Trailers with some great action and music? I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but I'm keen to give it a shot. If it isn't for me at least I can say I've given it a chance, right?
Tumblr media
I've been terrible at sharing the latest about this year's Silent Möbius anniversary, but I'm not a news blogger and frankly very few people care so eh y'know, whatever. BUT I figured I should say something about FAIRYTALE PARFUM releasing scents for the key members of AMP this month (though Mana has been totally forgotten, it seems). You can check out the range here, there will be a launch event on the 10th of December in Shinjuku too.
Asamiya drew new artwork for the bottles and while I'd love to get Kiddy's perfume that nods towards her bodily acceptance in its notes, importing that stuff is just too much of a pain so I've settled for a tiny acrylic stand of Kiddy instead. Sadly there's no option to buy a set of stands so I just went "whatever" and grabbed just my best girl. Anyway, if you'd like a tiny acrylic stand of an AMP girl with extra weird proportions then make sure you check out the FAIRYTALE PARFUM website.

hey girl im back again i think abt sideways like evry single day pls pls pls when r u releasing the next update 😞
Hello again! Thanks for checking in.
Unfortunately, I don't have much of an update. I'm still working on my original sci fi series. It's my top priority. I'm almost done with the first book and then I will be focused on posting it.
That said, "Sideways" is always on my mind and heart. It means a great deal to me, and I'm incredibly flattered that you think about it too.
I wish I had better news for where Part 5 stood in the pipeline, but to tide you over, here's an excerpt from it. I opened the fire-proof safe and dragged out the notebooks just for you!
This is from "Sideways" Part 5. I typed it up from the handwritten rough draft. There are no guarantee that it will be close to the final version or that it won't be cut in editing. But, here you go!
“And after that, you’ll be back in this other timeline, hmm?” Dr. Quigley reached for the bishop and then paused.  He picked up his tower instead.
The med bay lights always felt extra bright reflecting off the room’s metal surfaces.  Shepard squinted at the chessboard on Quigley’s desk.  A bold move.  Too bold.  She had to not be seeing something here.
“You must be good chums with Alenko in this other life?”
“Quite chummy.  You’re really buying this story I’m telling you?”
“Naturally.”  Quigley rested back in his chair and steeped his hands in front of him.  “My most recent head scans for you are a little outdated though.  And I do need to inventory the narcs.”
“Not all mental illness is anatomical.”  Shepard vacillated with her queen.  Two good choices.
“I’m glad you’re giving me more doctor’s advice.  We needed this workshop.”
“So,” Shepard said lightly, keeping her eyes on the board.  “How’d Kaidan take the news?  You told him about the . .. permanent damage.”  Whatever medical consequences there were to his Red Death, the doctor had hinted at but refused to tell her.
She set the queen on the black square near his tower.  Slowly lifting each finger off, she leaned back in her chair.
Quigley snatched her queen up with his rook.
“Dammit.”  She was losing her touch.  Or maybe just her concentration.  “You can answer my question though, right?  I’m not asking what you told him, just the reaction.”
“I don’t see much purpose sharing that.”  Quigley dropped her queen beside the board. He made a prompting motion for her to continue.
She gave up any pretense and looked Quigley in the eye.  “Was he all right?”
“Seems to be, doesn’t he?” Quigley nodded at the mess hall over her shoulder.
Kaidan stood at the coffee machine, trapped between Cortez and Allison, listening to one of Adam’s tales, replete with exuberant hand motions.  Allison seemed to be the only one not anticipating the laugh beats.
Shepard sighed. “Hell. You’re right.  I’m being nosey.”
“I'm already sold on you being another Shepard.  Saying ‘you’re right’ is just overkill.”
The med bay doors slid open with a hiss air.  Cicero cut a clean figure in a well-pressed uniform and pressed-lipped smile.
“Here for medical treatment?” Shepard asked.
He wasn’t, of course.  His eyes had zeroed directly on her the moment his squeaky boots hit the threshold.
“I am to understand that you deserve congratulations.”  Cicero meandered slowly along the counter toward them.
“I don’t think so. The doc’s beat me.  Just took my queen.”
“Ah, that delightful humor.”  Cicero tapped a tray of scalpels as he passed it.  “Those have water stains.”
“Oh, dear.”  Quigley clutched his chest.  “I wondered what killed my last patient.”
Cicero ran his hand under the edge of the cabinets and examined it with rubbing fingers.  “This whole bay could use a thorough clean.”
“No objection here.”  Quigley shrugged.
“Anyway.”  Cicero ambled to the desk.  “You’re acting counselor or so I heard on ANN.“
“Forgot my tiara and sash downstairs, but yes, you heard right.”
“Congratulations then.  I’d share a glass of wine with you, but it’s been adulterated.  The antichrist must be aboard. Rather than water to wine, it appears wines can become water.”
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he was,” she said simply.
“Regardless, a handshake will have to do.”
“Not even that is necessary,” she said begrudgingly, but shook his proffered hand.
She checked her palm after drawing back.  There hadn’t been a noticeable sting, but she’d been fooled before with a handshake.  Nothing seemed amiss though.  He was trying to unsettle her with his politeness.
“I suppose the late Councilor Wilson would be grateful seeing you take bat.  He had grown rather close to you and Alenko.  That is, before the end.”
“Uh huh.”  Shepard’s blood pumped.  “If you give me a ‘God rest his soul,’ Cicero, I swear . . .”
“Swear what?  I think it’s well-established that attacking me, at least publicly, is not a route without consequence.”
Shepard lurched to her feet, knocking chess pieces over on the desk.  “Thanks for the handshake and veiled threat.  I’ll see myself out.”
“Ah, ah.  Not so fast.”  Cicero caught her elbow then quickly let go.  “Though my wine’s off the menu, I would be pleased if you’d join me in my cabin for conversation.”
“I’d rather be waterboarded.”  She shot toward the door.
“So sure?  Well, that is a shame.  There’s something you may like to hear.”
Her feet caught.
She urged herself toward the door, even lifted a hesitant hand to the open button.  She should have taken Kaidan’s advice the first time.  Nothing good ever came out of a conversation alone with Cicero.
“About what?” She couldn’t help herself.
“Dr. T’Soni.”
Shepard’s gut twisted.
“Well, if you change your mind, you know the floor number.”  He strolled around her.
Frozen in place, she could only watch his retreating back.  He cast a thin smile over his shoulder before disappearing through the door.

An Education in Attraction, Chapter 10
Pairing: Reader x Gojo
Summary: It's spring when you start your Master's degree. As the flowers and leaves unfold, so too do your feeling for Gojo
Warnings: mild angst
Previous Chapters: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Ao3: PlaidSparrow
You wake the next morning, early but immediately alert. Gojo is the first thing on your mind, your eyes dart to your phone laying on the bedside table. You’re itching to pick it up and check if he messaged you, to look for any indication of how he might be feeling.
To distract yourself you pop out of bed and start your routine for the day, taking extra care choosing your outfit. After comparing options and deliberating longer than normal, you decide on something cute but not too flashy and a spritz of your favorite perfume, just to make yourself feel good.
On the way to breakfast, you finally let yourself check your phone. Your eyes scan the notifications, but there’s nothing from Gojo. You deflate slightly. It would’ve been so easy to prepare for the rest of the day if you just knew what he wanted from you! Now you’ll have to wait and see if he shows up for class, then gauge what his reaction is like.
You grab a small plate at the cafeteria, but anxiety has taken the place of hunger in your stomach. After finishing your meal slowly, you head to class early.
The July air is already sweltering outside, and the unrelenting humidity doesn’t help the anticipation and nerves you have for the day. You’ve never seen Gojo walking around on campus, but that doesn’t stop you from keeping an eye out for a flash of white hair as you trudge towards the Graduate school.
The classroom is empty when you reach it, which only gives you more time and space to think about Satoru. You unpack your bag and open your notes document, leg bouncing under the table.
Gojo had been much more communicative with you the last month, and in your time working together, he never backed down from the opportunity to speak his mind. As soon as you can speak to him, you’ll be able to tell whether he’s also interested in you.
The professor and other students of your cohort slowly filter into the room as you mull over what his reaction might be, and Kuzume’s arrival finally gives you something to think about besides your partner. In her own research for the project, she’s found a new composer whose style and depth she aspires to reach one day. Her own partner, Fumio, had even liked the styling, though Kuzume claims his appreciation for music is shallow at best.
The mention of Fumio brings your mind back to your own partner, and you glance at the clock on your computer. It’s nearly time for class to start and he hasn’t arrived yet. You can’t decide if the anticipation will be worse if he shows up or if you have to wait even longer.
As the professor walks over to shut the classroom door, Gojo strides in. You can’t help yourself. You covertly examine him from across the room as he settles into his normal chair. He seems as relaxed as usual, and in your hasty catalog of his appearance, you don’t notice any abrupt changes. Nothing that can signal how he feels, one way or the other.
Your professor has returned to the front of the room, she surveys the group for a beat before speaking.
"Good morning, class. I have an important update regarding the paired project due at the beginning of next month.”
Your breath catches and tension in the room grows. Two weeks of notice is hardly enough time to make adjustments to the paper, and you had just finished making edits to the current version. You don’t have time to update the project, let alone take into consideration everything going on with Satoru.
“I am pleased to announce that this particular group of students has been invited to participate in an annual teaching symposium." Your normally reserved professor speaks with an unusual enthusiasm.
"To showcase the work you have done, each pair will present the research and theoretical problems created for the final project."
She continues listing off the details and expectations of the presentation, and you process all of the extra work you’ll have to do.
“The symposium will take place after summer break concludes. While this term will be over, it is expected that each group takes the time to prepare, and is ready to speak at the conference at the beginning of next term.”
You glance over to where Gojo is sitting across the room. He sits expressionless as he listens to the rest of the professor's speech. You feel a sudden pang and wish that you could see his whole face right now. He was so expressive and open when the two of you were working on the couch. Now you can’t guess what he’s thinking. As far as you can tell he hasn’t even looked in your direction yet.
The rest of the class period focuses on ensuring that expectations are fully understood for the new presentation and reviewing the most recent reading assignment. The torrent of discussion that follows the announcement ensures that there’s not another moment to devote to your partner. It feels like you blink and then you’re being dismissed.
As usual Gojo stands to leave right after the class period has ended. He heads out of the room without saying anything. There’s no time for a discussion before your second class, but your heart sinks that he didn’t at least say hello or acknowledge you in some way.
You walk to your Learning Theories class across campus with Kuzume and Saito, internally debating whether you should have said something. Maybe he was waiting for you to reach out or text him.
You contemplate the idea as you’re taking notes in the second class. This close to the end of term, the course consists of review of the last readings and preparation for your final paper. You’ve already done your own review with the study group, so you allow your mind to drift back to Gojo.
A text would be casual- just to check in and plan some time to discuss the presentation. He usually responds quickly too. When Learning Theories ends, you’ve settled on messaging him.
Actually doing the texting is easier said than done.
You drum your fingers on the wood of your desk as you think of how to phrase the message. You type an option out, stare at it for a moment, then delete the text. God, it feels so silly and juvenile to be worried about texting a man!
After scrubbing your face with your hands, you stand up and look intently down at the screen. You ask when he’s free to plan the presentation, simple. Before you can second guess yourself again you hit send. Now it’s out of your hands.
Having sent the text doesn’t seem to alleviate any of your anxiety though. You spend the afternoon thinking about how you’d like to build your next unit for the Eikaiwa school. Even during the summer when students have breaks from their normal classes, many of your class will continue taking courses as an extracurricular. If they have to be in classes, you’d at least like to make the material interesting for your pupils.
You lose yourself in planning, but you can’t help but notice that Gojo doesn’t respond to your message.
You don’t know whether to take his lack of response as disinterest or an indication that he’s busy planning for his trip. He had seemed preoccupied when you left his apartment. Either way, you’re determined to talk with him. Even if he doesn’t want a physical or romantic relationship, you’ll have to work together for the presentation.
The next morning, you put on another cute outfit, pick up some strong tea from the cafeteria, and walk seriously to your classroom. Kuzume sits next to you shortly after, her brow furrows when she sees your grave mood. She tilts her head is a silent question, and you shake your head in response. You’re not in the mood to talk right now.
Nothing can distract you now, you are laser focused. You listen to the lecture, chime into the conversation once. You don’t bother to take notes, putting away the computer at the end of class would lose you precious seconds when you need to get out the door. You feel the energy wane as class comes to a close and you steel yourself.
As is typical, Gojo is one of the first to leave the room. You’re quick to follow, though, and you catch him in the foyer of the building.
“Hey, Sa-” you hesitate, “hey Gojo.”
When he turns toward you, there’s something inscrutable on his face. It’s gone in a moment, returned to the neutral blank look he wears during class. He leans against one of the columns near the benches.
“What’s up?”
It’s so casual, so utterly careless. As if he truly has no idea what you could want to talk about, when you have a million questions you could ask. His delivery is nearly flawless too, slightly friendly but not warm or teasing. It’s like your relationship has been taken back months in time.
You silence the thought, forcing yourself to focus on the goal- you’ve got to talk to him and figure out what to do for the symposium.
“I just wanted to talk to you about the project. Apparently we’ve still got some work left to do.” You offer him a small smile.
“Oh, yeah.”
“So we’ll have to edit the conclusion and then divide up the content and write the actual presentation.”
He waits for you to say something else, but you just look at him. It’s the first time you’ve been this near since you kissed. His cologne or aftershave brings those memories to the top of your mind and you swallow, willing your cheeks not to flush. You remind yourself that he hadn’t responded to your text or reached out to you.
“Well that’s easy enough. We’ll each do our own subject areas, it’s just an outline of the existing research and our examples.” He finally says.
There’s no trace of the playful banter or intimacy from the last few times you had spoken. Each answer brief and direct to the point.
“Yeah, but we won’t be able to cover all of the sources, we’ll need to prioritize. We can meet at the cafe and go over the details?”
Gojo hesitates for a moment. He runs his hand through the hair on the back of his neck and turns away from you slightly.
“I don’t think I’ll have time this week. Just make a document and share it with me.”
Even when your relationship had been at its worst, he’d still agreed to meet with you. How could he be refusing now, when you’ll be delivering a live presentation in front of who knows how many people? You clench your jaw.
“These things aren’t really that formal, no need to spend a ton of time rehearsing.”
“Sounds good.” You nod, but there’s no color in your voice.
“Great.” Gojo’s voice is flat and his ever present smile hasn’t made a single appearance.
He turns from you and continues on the path away from the building. You’re left staring after him, wilting in the heat. You suppose you have your answer on how he feels. There’s nothing to do but plow ahead and get this project finished. You feel oddly lonely.
You take a moment to gather yourself, ready to head back to your dorm. Before you can leave or break, you feel presence behind you. You turn and find Saito and Kuzume watching you with concerned expressions. It’s too much.
With a watery breath in, you step towards them.
“Are you alright?”
Kuzume is the first to ask, and you don’t know how to answer. Everything had seemingly happened so fast, and you lost Gojo before you even knew how much you cared for him. After weekly meetings, growing to appreciate his humor and teasing, and now being treated like a stranger.
“C’mon,” Saito’s voice is soft. You’re not breakable. You’re fine. Or you will be, as soon as you can process everything that you’re feeling.
The two of them walk with you to the Learning Theory class. Normally traipsing across campus is accompanied by gossiping or complaining or laughter, but today the three of you are quiet. At least class will give you something to focus on. You’re not going to fumble your last couple courses of the term, and now that you know where you stand with Gojo you can put him in the back of your mind. Your education is what matters.
Learning Theories passes in a blur of final notes and an explanation of the final exam. Before you know it, the professor is dismissing class and your friends are back in front of you. Without saying a word, they watch you pack up and walk with you to the campus cafeteria.
You’re not really feeling hungry, but you know Kuzume and Saito are trying to help. You grab a rice bowl and refill your water bottle. Kuzume and Saito wait till you’re settled at the table before gently prodding.
“Was he being rude again?”
“If he’s acting out of line, we can tell the university. Being smart isn’t an excuse to act like a dick.” Kuzume adds before you answer.
That makes you crack a smile. A sudden wave of gratitude for your friends washes over you. Maybe your friendship with Gojo isn’t one that’s going to last, but you’ve studied for exams, reviewed for countless hours, and talked with the women in front of you the entire term. You’ve found friends, and now they’re supporting you, though they don’t even know you’ve kissed Gojo yet.
You sigh. You’ve got a lot to catch them up on. You take a bite of your lunch and start filling them in on just how close you’d gotten with Gojo.
When you finish describing your make out season with Gojo, Kuzume’s jaw is nearly on the floor.
“I knew it! You were acting way too cheery for someone spending time with an absolute ass. So what happened?”
Her face softens and as you look from her to Saito the words get caught in your throat.
“He just acted like nothing had happened. He wasn’t rude but just swept anything else under the rug.”
You huff, and your voice has a watery quality you hate. You shouldn't be feeling too upset about someone who clearly doesn't feel the same way.
“And he was the one who kissed me! I thought that we were actually becoming friends. He really grew on me.”
Saito reaches her hands across the table and grabs yours. She doesn't say anything, just gives you a squeeze.
Kuzume adds her hand to the pile and she does speak up.
“Well, you still have some friends. You don’t have to worry about me kissing you.”
The mood lightens after that, and the three of you finalize plans to proofread the final papers for the Learning Theories class and get lunch once more before summer break.
It’s not total relief, but your chest does feel lighter when you walk back to your dorm after lunch. Regardless of what happens with Gojo, you joined this Master's program to put down roots in Tokyo and prepare for your future as a teacher.
You’ve got to focus on the big goals, and finishing the term strong is what will matter most for your long term success. You crack open your laptop and open the group project. The conclusion won’t edit itself.

History of HERCULES vol.40
Tumblr media
Finally being able to scan (not perfect as I wished to) and edit all the Tokyo Mew Mew New content from my volume of History of HERCULES vol. 40;
If you weren’t able to purchase your copy online from Japan, you can see it here (of course Mew related content only).
You will find (as previous volume) the douga from Tokyo Mew Mew New episode 6 directed by Satoshi Ishino - that also drew the cover with Mew Lettuce - the attack sequence of Mew Ichigo and Mew Mint and a Mew Lettuce sketch made by Michinori Chiba.
**UPDATE - you can also download the pdf from MediaFire here
Also, I scanned and cleaned a very HD resolution transparent version of Mew Lettuce on the cover, click here if you want to download just that

I FINALLY built the Staten Island vampire's residence in TS4.
Versão em Português aqui
WOW, this house is a MONSTER! Literally consumed almost a month and a lot of research! I did projects in college that demanding way less of me LOL
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What can I say? So many lamps and so, so many candles! A huge property. Now I'm pretty sure Colin Robinson's adoptive family was filthy rich.
I tried to make it realistic, however, make no mistake: I don't have the complete plan, I built it from looking to photos and my own interpretation of the scenery in the scenes, so I took a lot of poetic freedom when building it and it's soooo far from identical to the set.
Tumblr media
More pictures and house plan
Same goes for the sims, TS4 just doesn't have enough tools to do the actors' faces justice, so be kind, OK?
I hope it's close enough for you to enjoy it. You can download here and play, but pay attention to the warnings below.
Warnings:
-The folders were previously scanned by antivirus and are free from malware;
-If you already have a save named "Slot_00000007", renumber mine so that yours do not be replaced during the transfer;
-Transfer the cc files to your mods folder;
-My folder contains Wicked Whims (version v176f dated July 24th) so vampires can have the polyamorous trait and can throw orgy parties. But be aware if at the time of your download the version is up to date. If necessary, delete the two files that start with "turbodriver", then go to the Wicked website, download the new version and replace! If you prefer a non-explicit version, you can simply delete the files I mentioned, in which case it's best to you have at least Wonderful Whims or that trio will be disastrous.
-This residence was built with A LOT of cheats, make sure to turn “bb.moveobjects on” before editing the house to ensure that some objects don't end up in your houses inventory;
-If you wantto sims to die drained like in the series, you need to add Extreme Violence mod, which is not included;
-Don't put my creations in the gallery without my consent.
OBSERVED ERRORS
When you spend 1 month on a single build, naturally some bugs start to appear. Anyway, TS4 is a mess now due to the horse expansion bugs, so it's possible that this will go away in the EA's next updates:
-Curved room ceiling not accepting the use of the new tool;
Tumblr media
-Whatever-this-is that appears in some angles when the camera is far away:
Tumblr media
That's all

Got a question about the Chris Hatch visit hack. How does it work exactly? I added the mods in 'downloads' in its own folder, but it is nowhere in my game. Do I have to be friends with sims first before visiting their lots? I clicked on a vehicle, but the 'visit other lots' menu doesn't pop up anywhere. What am I supposed to do?
Hi!
Chris Hatch's mod adds two new interactions with a car: "Visit.../Lot" and "Visit.../Sim". I took a quick glance at the code and it doesn't seem to me that knowing other Sims is a requirement for visiting them. I might have missed something, of course.
I recommend that you run a conflict scan with a hack conflict scanning program (you can use SiMidge or HCDU Plus).
If you have any further problems, please contact me via DM - asks aren't really useful for this type of communication.
@atomtanned asked:
Hi Meduza, I've just found your version of More Computer Options! Excited to try it out in my game. midge's version had an STR conflict with simler90's Toy Skills mod and yours is showing this conflict as well. (/post/190051865354/hi-just-got-simler90s-toy-mod-on-mts-and-hcdu on midge's blog). Not a big deal because just the pop-up is incorrect, but I tried to fix it myself and failed, so I figured I'd let you know! Thanks for all your amazing mods 💚
Hi! I checked the code and it seems that the versions of Midge's "More computer options" that I used incorporated changes done by simler90 in their "Toy and Game mods". Therefore, my edit incorporates simler90's mod as well. I don't really have the time to check it in my game but it looks that if my mod loads after simler90's "Toy mod", you should receive correct skill dialog, i.e. logic dialog for playing games and doing crosswords, and creativity for anything else.
I know my answer isn't helpful, but are you sure these two mods are loading in the correct order?
@kyogokudrack asked:
I gotta ask but i got an issue everytime a ghost sim use the tombstone… simingly they change into bats like vampire for the duration of the interaction it's kind of odd??? Any idea of how i should go on about fixing this? I'm using all your ghost mods.
Hi! Yes, that's odd. Ghosts are turned invisible for the time they haunt graves and urns and I don't recall them relying on flying objects (unlike fairies). I might be wrong, though.
I don't have this issue in my game, but I updated useable ghost grave and ghost urn in a way that should hopefully get rid of your problem. Please redownload those objects.

Welcome to my CATS sideblog! During 2020, I got intensely into CATS and worked on several projects to archive and document various things that have to do with this musical.
This blog is an active sideblog that will be reblogging normal content, however I'm also working on moving over all my posts from my main blog (sorry for any spam) for archival purposes. Below the cut is information on all my archival projects:
Here are some helpful tags you can check if you're looking for something in particular:
#resources - covers all media listed below, a catch-all for any original posts I made with pertinent information about CATS.
#photos - photos of specific productions or actors. All images are sourced from the CATS wiki unless stated otherwise, as I scanned in a few myself.
#audio - audio of specific productions that I posted to tumblr.
#video - video from various productions that I posted to tumblr.
#information - posts with factual information regarding CATS
#my art - very simple, anything i've drawn!
Many of my archival projects are free-standing and can be accessed outside of this blog:
Victoria Grove - a website I built to serve as a hub of information for CATS fans. It includes summarized information for new fans, character profiles, lyrics, links to any 90s/early 2000s fansites that are still up, archived images from fansites that are no longer regularly accessible, games, a forum, and my personal favorite pet project: a section covering the history of the original Broadway run.
The Broadway Mega Edit - A project to compile all available footage of the original Broadway production into one video. Any sections of the musical where no video exists has been replaced with photos and audio. This is outdated as footage that was lost at the time of making it has since resurfaced but I have no idea when I'll be able to make a new version. If you have any information on a full Broadway bootleg from 1982-2000 please contact me.
@catsnonreplica - a blog cataloguing all nonreplicas of CATS that I could find at the time. I'm too busy to research and post there anymore however I accept submissions if anyone wishes to add a nonreplica that hasn't been catalogued.
@catsmusicalmerch - a blog cataloguing CATS merchandise, mainly ones that are hard to find any documentation on. Like the above I don't have time to continuously update it, but the blog accepts submissions.

Hey, do you have any antivirus recommendations? I deleted McAffee because I found it annoying.
Ahoy! Thank you so much for asking, because this is something i absolutely have! From personal experience, i definitely think that getting rid of McAffe is a good idea. It has a tendency to add a lot of "Bloatware" (Software whose usefulness is reduced because of the excessive disk space and memory it requires.) to your computer, and has a fairly rocky reputation. It is often bundled with other software and even some new computers, and tend to take up a lot of your CPU when scanning files. I absolutely understand that you find it annoying! It's basically a program made to pry upon less tech-savvy people, to get them to pay for McAffe's mediocre-at-best service.
Now, being done ranting about McAffe, let me come with some recommendations. The first one being "Malwarebytes," which i personally use.
If i ever can afford to pay for any "premium" anti-virus programs, it'd be Malwarebytes. The program can be downloaded for free, require no account and no payment info.
After installing i usually activate the 14 day free trial, and when that trial runs out, i simply tell it to deactivate the premium-mode, and then use the free version. Sometimes when updating i get new offers for premium trials, which i usually take, although the free-mode is plenty good enough.
When using the free Malwarebytes, i always make sure to manually scan any new downloads. Aside from that it does most stuff itself, most importantly including periodic scheduled scans.
Due to it being a hot minute since i last did some research around this, i made sure to do some now! And seemingly the most recommended anti-virus of 2022 is called "Bitdefender." The free version seems to cover the same grounds as Malwarebytes, and i've found no mentions of any major issues with this one either!
I have also seen some people discuss how the included Windows antivirus should be good enough, i do not trust Microsoft enough for that, but will make sure to look into this. The most important when using ANY antivirus is to make periodic scans, keep the software as updated as can be, and ALWAYS scan newly downloaded files! Remember this when you find yourself downloading files, ESPECIALLY if you are treating yourself to some piracy. It will save you from a good 99% of any malicious/harmful files out there!
I hope this has been helpful! If you have any questions, requests or anything else, always feel free to send asks or message me! If i can't find it, we might be able to get someone to put it out there!
