"What you are asking for goes against nature", so I responded, "I am praying to Him who defies nature"

And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive

Why do we run away from that which makes us feel good?
Salah brings warmth, peace and comfort in our solitude.
So, why do we abandon it when we need it most?
Qur’an awakens our soul and refreshes our purpose.
So, why do we abandon reading it?

Musa (alayhissalam) used to often say in his Du’a:
Oh Allah, soften my heart with tawbah (repentance), and do not make my heart hard as a rock.
[Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali (rahimahullah) in Jami’ al-Uloom wal Hikam, no. 326 or 20/437]
