Tim gets deaged and it's absolutely horrible, because he and Damian are on the exact same wavelength.
It's the mix of "it's us (the babies of the family) vs everyone else", "my god, you are actually the only one with a braincell" and "I have to guide you if they aren't going to do it"
Tim is 9 and can barley remember anything about his time with the batfam, so he is really uncomfortable with the way they are babying him.
He is, however, really interested in Damian, mostly because he is Robin right now.
(Don't get me wrong, Dick and Jason are great, but they also treat him like a baby.)
He sees that Damian is extremely smart and that his fighting skills are absolutely amazing, but also that his social skills are horrible.
Damian on the other hand is living the change in their dynamic.
He knows that Drake was a good asset to their family and that he could be even better with the right nurturing.
Cue them bonding with Tim teaching him about (ballroom/high society) etiquette and Damian teaching Tim how to fight.
In the end, both boys end up deviating from their plans after they went through some of Tims old blackmail material
