Deadpool Mariano talking to the audience AKA us. Also, if he's truly self-aware in the same way Deadpool is, he must know he's a part of an Encanto Tumblr blog, and that he's an AU of the original Encanto story, how does he feel about that? Does he have access to the rest of the internet since he exists on a social media platform? Does he know about your other AUs?

Oh yeah. He’s entirely aware, he just doesn’t outwardly say it. He even knows that he’s not even the original Mariano. He diesn’t really care though, he’s chill to just vibe with his own universe, and his own Dolores. Because of the Spider Society, he has some kind of access to the internet, but not the entire thing. Or maybe he does. He won’t say.

And. With help (likely Hobie and Margo and possibly even Lyla)), he’s able to see other au’s. Traveling to them and interacting, big no-no, he doesn’t do that, he knows he probably shouldn’t. But yes, he’s been aware for a while, and he’s, he’s seen them. Whether he’s aware of this blog specifically or not is debatable (though let’s be real, he probably is) bu he is aware of the viewers.

Note

So you mentioned for the Angelfire Spider-Diantha (Spider-Angel?) AU that Malva is working for Doc Ock Lysandre, do you have any ideas for what roles the other Elite 4 / major XY characters would have? The only things I can think of are Korrina as Screwball and Olympia as this universe’s Dr Strange, or maybe Mysterio.

It's a little tricky largely because I'm a filthy casual and while I'm sure there's a huge repertoire of Spiderman characters that would fit perfectly I just don't have know enough haha. Korrina as Screwball fits pretty perfectly though and I do like the idea of Olympia as Dr Strange, she's got the cape already!!

The other thing is that when it comes to making AUs I prefer a "how do I mould this world to fit the existing characters" approach rather than putting the characters in existing roles regardless of how well they fit, but there are a lot of characters in the Spiderman series who bring out a lot of fun dynamics like Venom and Deadpool where I'm like aaaagh I don't know who would fit but whoever it is would be fun raguhgghh

Also unfortunately I think Prof Sycamore in this AU. Probably has to be dead. Maybe he could come back in a fun way but it's just such an obvious thing to spark a very bitter, personal rivalry between Diantha and Lysandre as Spiderwoman v Doc Ock 😔

I figure Diantha would probably have to be just an heiress/socialite here too because there are few careers worse than 'actress' for needing to disappear suddenly, which means she's kind of doubling as Bruce Wayne and also sort of Superman in that Malva is her Lois Lane but also Jonah Jameson. Diantha rlly has that range

For the Monks of K’un-Lun to propose for Danny to Emma, and Danny telling them to stop only for them to respond “stfu Daniel”

When Aunt May reveals she knows Emma is Spiderwoman, Agent Venom deadass goes “my celebrity crush is my school crush?” And Iron Spider gives him a ‘bitch tf you say’ look.

For Miles Morales to tell Emma that Web-Slinger (Cowgirl! Emma) is the hottest Emma variant despite the fact Emma’s a older sister figure to him.

For Spiderwoman-Noir refusing to speak on the job and talks by smacking the shit out of people.

For a bisexual chick to tell Spiderwoman that she was her bi awakening, and for Spiderwoman to say: “Thanks! She-Hulk was mine!” While the Hulk was standing right behind her.

For Spiderwoman to addressed Moon Knight as “Moony” only for Marc to push her back, but Steven quickly hugs her.

For Deadpool to return in Season Four and flirt with the entire Web-Warriors, thinking they were all variants of Emma, when he realizes they aren’t variants of her, he shrugs and keeps flirting. Scarlet Spider may or may not stab him.

Spiderwoman calling Nova a Green Lantern knock-off, then calling Power Man “Superman Jr.”

For Emma to get turned into a cat instead of a pig, and one of the Asgardian Hunters refuses to hunt nor kill her because his boyfriend loves cats.

Loki then lied saying the cat (Emma) has been traumatized, and he wishes to erase her memories of the event but Spidey-Kitty just keeps running away. He then says “whoever brings her to me so I can heal her mind, may keep the cat.”

(Man was down to erase all memories of Emma’s life and trick into thinking she was actually a cat 💀)

For Johnny Storm to flirt with Spiderwoman when the Fantastic Four was in a meeting with the original team and Nick Fury.

For Johnny Storm to then get in a fist-fight with Nova after the meeting.

For Black Cat to flirt with Spiderwoman in front of White Tiger. And ending up in a cat fight, as Nova flies in shouting “ROUND ONE: FIGHT!”

For Elizabeth Stark literally paying Flash Thompson and Luke Cage to force Scarlet Spider to shower.
