trying new staff. part 02: oil pastel.
yesterday, unplanned, I bought oil pastels. I don’t expect anything. I am in LOVE 💘 First Thistle is just oil pastels and some pencils, second is oil pastel with white spirit and some pencils. It's very fun and easy and fast and fun 💖

Even though you mainly focus on Diantha and Malva, I am glad you give some of the XY NPCs some love it feels like they are forgotten and unappreciated by the fandom.
Thank you! 😊 I need to give myself more excuses to write other characters but sometimes it just doesn’t fit the scope of what I’m doing, however I still try to pay close attention to characterisation for everyone I write because the richer the world the richer the characters right
I’m really drawn to media where every side character feels consistent and fleshed out even if they’re not the focus, and it helps to look at each character not just as a narrative tool but as a person who is the protagonist of their own story
#answered#anonymous#one of my little tricks is to imagine a fan reading how I write their fave character#and asking myself if I think they’d be happy with my portrayal#not that I’m pandering to other peoples opinions but moreso am I doing this character the justice I’d want from my faves?

Yeah haha I switched to her name a while back because some of the character lines are very serendipitous...
But also it's funny to play off as in-character shenanigans. Pasio exists in a very weird space where all the canon events have simultaneously happened but not happened?? So I imagine the Luculia on Pasio is like... a version of her pulled from halfway through Way Out. She knows all these people but she doesn't know what is coming

every time I try to think of ideas for In Too Deep I keep thinking 'wait maybe this should be in the comic' which is helpful but not very conducive
