A beautiful, angst filled, fic featuring Obi-Wan and the 212th. Codywan, definitely a slow-burn. I have laughed, I have cried, I have yelled at my screen in despair, and re-read the whole thing more than once to feel the raw emotions again. Truly a masterpiece!

HOLY HECK IN A HANDBASKET this is a MASSIVE series! We all know I love angst, and a slow burn, and CODYWAN? Like YES let's MAKE ME FEEL MY FEELINGS! Let them look at one another longingly.

How Obi-Wan had managed to make his way up here to the war room while still being pretty much asleep Cody had no idea. What he did know was that if Obi-Wan had been awake he would probably be completely horrified at being seen like this, acting like a giant sized tooka, clinging to Cody's back.

Cody analysed that thought. Either that or entirely too amused, could go both ways if he was being entirely honest. For all that Obi-Wan liked to appear the wise and serene jedi master, Cody knew better. Obi-Wan was a sarcastic, chaotic menace. An absolute pain in Cody’s shebs at the best of times, but also utterly self-sacrificing and with a heart that just couldn’t stop caring. Cody loved all of it so utterly and completely.

If somehow… Cody found Obi-Wan after he escaped the Empire set during The Bad Batch:

Obi-Wan recognized the sunburst paint before the trooper dropped his blaster, wrong color though it was. Obi-Wan couldn’t let go of his own blaster — too many memories of canon fire, blasters and falling, falling falling

Then Cody is right there, grabbing his wrist, pulling him in. And sure, Obi-Wan could push back, use the Force, escape… but distraught brown eyes have him pinned.

“Obi-Wan.” Shaky, broken voice he knows so well. “It’s me. It’s Cody. Please…”

And thus, Obi-Wan is lost… a trembling shell of the man he once was. Unable and unwilling to fight back.

He’s Cody’s now. Always was.

A breath. Then another. And… “Cody?”

cody, pulling a knife from his sleeve: no, i do not.

Obi-wan, drunk and sobbing on a table: And I keep trying to tell Cody I'm in love with him, but he's so damn dense and he never notices when I flirt with him Cody:...when did you meet someone else named Cody?

i have a hc that they bump heads like this whenever Cody wears his helmet as a form of affection or reassurance

Next up, I have to shout out this Codywan art by @wi1dspace. Forehead kisses make me feral and this piece is so beautiful, I just want to go stand in the street and scream about it. They're so tired and worn down, but it's such a soft moment of comfort that they both deserve, and I LOVE THAT FOR THEM. Finn's style is gorgeous, and I love the lighting that they chose, as if Obi-Wan and Cody are sitting by a fire on a long campaign. IT'S PERFECT AND I HAVEN'T STOPPED THINKING ABOUT IT SINCE I FIRST SAW IT. LET THEM BOTH HAVE ALL OF THE FOREHEAD KISSES AND SOFT MOMENTS.

Anakin : What? Even when it's very cold? That's ridiculous! Sharing a tent is the best idea to avoid freezing to death!
