I Think Re:Coded Tells Us How The Story Will End

So I'm going to shamelessly tag @tennelleflowers because I had this moment of speculation while watching their fantastic 6 hour long video essay (yet again).

As the title states, I think Re:Coded for all of its many faults, is a rough outline for how the story will progress.

Data Riku is chosen by the Journal (a non sentient encapsulation of the story) to embody all that it contains to protect it from "corruption".

There is speculation that Riku may be some sort of avatar of Kingdom Hearts, and this theory will be using that as a jumping off point.

I think, down the line, Kingdom Hearts will be threatened again, and will choose Riku as the Child of Destiny, to embody it and protect it from corruption via the MoM or otherwise.

Now, Riku will probably keep this a secret from Sora as they go through their journey in this chapter because he thinks he needs to protect KH on his own because he was chosen OR he's not sure Sora is "up to the task" yet.

But, we know Sora is

And I think he will have to. Just like in coded, we will see Riku ready to give up and self destruct in order to spare Sora, but Sora won't have it.

I think he's going to have to dive into Rikus heart (now containing Kingdom Hearts itself, which would just be a SICK gameplay imo) and learn more about why Riku was chosen.

The reason KH chose Riku was the same reason the journal did-- because 2 defenders are better than one. Sora might not defend the Journal or KH with his life, but we know he will do just that for Riku.

Both Riku and Sora have the strength to protect what matters, which is what will ultimately save KH.

In the end, it's not about saving the Worlds. It's about saving *your* world. And this story is about these two heros and their bond being what ultimately saves the worlds.

The ENDING ending is up to speculation- sora sacrifices the his place in the realm of light to stay with Riku or they forget everything in the end or whatever. Nomura has the final shot already decided, apparently.

BUT anyway that's just my brainrot for today.

Me hating boruto again. It's hard to rewatch Naruto and not remember the clusterfuck that is boruto.

I was rewatching the Pain episodes and I totally forgot about the prophecy about Naruto in that arc. Who knew that the prophecy about Naruto saving the world would expire once he had kids. They forgot to mention that.

By the end of shippuden, the prophecy was about Sasuke too. Naruto and Sasuke, two people who would hold the fate in their hands, that's what the prophecy said. But now in Boruto we know that Naruto and Sasuke are most likely on the way to their graves than saving the world. Boruto is the mc, it's his story now. Naruto and Sasuke's character arcs don't matter anymore, because this greedy mfs wanted to keep milking this cow. They are getting the Anakin treatment. "He will defeat all the sith." and he did but SIKE we undid that. Same thing now... The way Naruto and Sasuke's characters have been humiliated so they lose more and more powers until they can finally kill them, is laughable at this point.

"Maybe the prophecy was about Boruto all along", shut the fuck up.

Anyway, that was when the story was about ending cycles of hate, finding peace and understand one another. Now it's about fighting alien gods, so I don't know what's the point of this story anymore.

Honestly the more I watch Clone Wars and the more I think about Anakin Skywalker as a person, the more I think about Percy Jackson and what Athena said about his fatal flaw: personal loyalty. “To save a friend, you would destroy the world . . . the worst flaws are those which are good in moderation.” Are they really so different?

MAPS!

I've made a couple maps for my 2nd book, Child of the Forest ^_^ They are the same map but showing different information. This first one shows the 8 provinces of Manena and their capital cities.

This second one shows the traditional route for Brothers and Sisters going on Tour and Pilgrimage to all 8 Order Keeps, the route Hemi decides they should take instead, and the detours they have to make along the way or will have to make in the future.

If you notice there are two towns not on the top map because they are two towns they detour to. Riverton because Vivia gets cranky and Neoma convinces Hemi to let them spend one night not on the road and Riverton because of an emergency.

Child of the Forest only covers their trip from Cape Eastcliff, to Crater Port, Westshore and then Starkeep. Child of the Sun will have Nightwood and beyond!

To those of you who might have read my Mahabharata x Harry Potter crossover Child of Prophecy, this is a little note from my side. I have been updating it yearly on June 21st until now.

Due to some... circumstances in my life, I think that's a ritual I need to rethink, which might lead to a hiatus that's longer than usual for this fic.

No one talks enough about the fact Annabeth first heard the Great Prophecy when she was twelve. It scared her so much she had nightmares about it.

She knew (or at least believed) from the moment Percy was claimed he wouldn't make it past his 16th birthday.

Imagine Annabeth telling herself he's a bit of an idiot anyway, and a son of Poseidon, you can't really like him?

Imagine Annabeth finally accepting he's a friend, only to have nightmares of Thalia's death... except when she looks down it's Percy on the ground.

Imagine Annabeth hating that spark of hope she felt when Thalia came back, older, but not old enough, because she's going to lose one of her best friends and she's just got Thalia back.

Imagine Annabeth finally accepting that if she's going to lose Percy she shouldn't waste time, and asking him to the cinema, only to see him with another girl and realising she was too late.

Imagine Annabeth speaking at his funeral, looking across the crowd and seeing him standing there, and realising that it means she'll have to do this all over again.

Imagine Annabeth, who wants to become an architect so she can build something permanent, knowing that whatever she has with Percy can only end all too soon.

thinking about how the (greek) big three swore to never sire any more demigod children because those children are just too powerful (dangerous) and also thinking about how the characters that, arguably, seem to have the greatest proclivity for cruelty in the name of justice or vengeance are also the (greek) big three children... there's something there, a connection to be made I'm sure of it

I mean. Just the fact that Percy’s had his story doesn’t negate another, does it? Nobody said it was a one-time thing. Where’s the fun in that? And even if it’s not, who said the first one got the chance? What if it could be any 16yrso Big Three demigod in existence, from now unto eternity?

I get the criticism of the Hunters of Artemis from a narrative perspective—it sucks that it essentially boots interesting female characters out of the story—but it always baffles me when people viciously hate Artemis for *checks notes* doing damage control.

Like. Thalia explicitly goes with Artemis to avoid the prophecy, and I definitely think that’s the reason Artemis tried so hard to get her to join—hell, you can view the hunters trying to recruit Annabeth as a way to get Thalia to join. And Bianca? You can’t convince me that Artemis didn’t guess there was something up there and react accordingly.

If Percy or Nico were even a little bit girl-adjacent you bet your ass she would be all over them to join. No one actually wants to risk the Great Prophecy happening, and Artemis is doing a hell of a lot more to stop it than anyone else.

For false prophecy, The Enarei were beheaded and their bodies were tied to a horse and driven across the field.

saw alot of comments on prev pages; saying 'i HATE that mean teacher! im gonna FIGHT HIM!!' & i LOVE the energy!! it WOULD be nice. to have that catharsis. but the story of young tidestrider is Not one of catharsis. it is a story of being so small and so special and sucking so bad.

I think what might actually help the families of trans loved ones is to actually engage with where the trans person is at - especially if the family isn't quite understanding yet. When I came out, I was completely alone in figuring out my manhood. I had peers and I had exposed myself to so many trans people who explored gender, and while it was amazing, it isn't quite the same at times. I grieve quietly, sometimes, about all the missed opportunities that might have just made it easier for my family to have seen how utterly happy I was. It took them a very long time to actually notice that I was happy, especially once I got on testosterone. I'm lucky that they saw that happiness eventually, and slowly accepted it. My manhood is completely detached from their influence, both to my relief and chagrin. It's sad to me that I learned to shave from a kind online stranger, somebody who didn't even have a father and yet, I do. I have a father. I grieve at the loss of a potential shared experience. I grieve about the pain I went through when I was in that stage of transition, especially because it was raw and vulnerable. I grieve that many trans people today are traversing the path I had to, because it's sometimes lonely (even when you do have other forms of support).

It's hard to know that I will never have gotten my sense of being from my family. In many ways, it has severed a lot of connection with them because there were so many times that I was begging them to see happiness when they were focused on the idea that I was almost in a state of purgatory - flesh which felt warm but held no familiarity to them. I don't harbor ill-will toward them, I hope I don't leave the impression that I despise them. I understand what they felt, even if I can't conceptualize it myself. However, it's a raw wound in my heart, and I don't want to leave anybody else feeling that way, either.

Maps!

Hi, I make maps for people and myself. Since I was self publishing my first book, Child of the Moon, I realized I could put anything I wanted in the book and since I make maps it seemed only right to include entirely too many maps in the book. Here are the three maps I made for it.

The first map is a world map. Though book one stays 100% in Cape Eastcliff (and the surrounding forest) the story will open up to the rest of the world as books go on. It was important to me for world building purposes to have an idea of the countries and I thought it might be nice for readers to have some reference to places mentioned in the book.

The second map is a city map of Cape Eastcliff highlighting some of the places mentioned in the book. The city isn't really as regimented and planned as it looks in the map. I was running out of time and took the easiest route. I may someday redo this map but for now it's fine as is.

This last map is the Cape Eastcliff Order Keep building layout. I thought it might be fun to include since a good portion of the book takes place here and it's an important place for Neoma.
