Drama rec masterlist | Drama rant thread (beware of spoilers)
Tumblr media
Firstly, I want to start with the warnings for this drama - because this drama is dealing with severe bullying, as well as sexual assault and domestic violence. And Netflix does not shy away from showing everything, and I really mean everything. So if this is something you have a hard time dealing with, this drama is not for you, just trust me on this one. Even I had to look away sometimes, and I’m not usually squeamish.
While this drama was a hard watch, in the sense that it’s so brutal, I really liked seeing the female lead just not giving a single fuck. She does not care if what she does makes is technically wrong - she wants her revenge, and she is going to get it. Don’t get me wrong, she is kind to the right people, but as she states multiple times herself: “I am not a good person.”
And this thing about being either good or bad is such an interesting topic. I think I touched on it in both Vincenzo and Your Honor too - good or bad is not black and white, and Dong-eun is most definitely that grey area where she balances on the edge of both. She never did anything wrong - she is 100% the victim in this scenario - but by choosing revenge, she suddenly becomes a vigilante in a sense, and that requires some morally bad actions.
The people who help her in the end (and the people she ends up helping along the way, even though she has a hard time seeing that herself) are all victims too, with their own trauma and their own ghosts to deal with. They do not care that they have to join her in the grey zone, because they too have suffered and felt trapped in their own selves as victims. They want to take back their power.
Idk, I just really love dramas that have you rooting for a character who is morally grey, because it makes you think - how far would you go?
And while it is a drama about revenge, it is also a drama about healing - about allowing people to break down your walls and help you move forward to better places. About learning to love and accept yourself for who you are without the trauma casting a shadow over every part of your future.
The actors are phenomenal, absolutely blew me away with their raw emotions all around. Especially the younger actors were absolutely amazing, they must have worked so hard, and I hope they are okay after having to do the very graphic bullying scenes.
In the end, I just want to mention that - in case you didn’t already know - this series is loosely based on actual bullying cases from South Korea. Bullying in their schools really do get this bad, and it is wild to me that kids are capable of this evil. Bullying should absolutely never be allowed. If you see something, say something. Don’t ever be a bystander.

Family Sacrifices Pt.2 (Yandere Platonic Yandere Sully Family)
Tumblr media
Read Part 1 here.
The first thing you saw were bright lights as your ears filled with beeping.
You woke up to Norm checking your vitals, spitting out the water he was drinking in shock at your sudden consciousness. He rushed to do some tests, mainly on your reaction time to make sure your brain was working properly. The light that shined in your eye hurt bad, but you didn't dare tell Norm about your splitting headache, knowing if you did so you'd give him a heart attack.
Soon after Norm explained your condition to you. You've been in a coma for around 3 months. You were almost killed that day in the water, your family being devastated. Every week or so, Jake would come and visit you, which is where the many, many gifts came from, all handmade. They sat on a table near your bed, and you could tell what was made by who by the craftmanship.
After your attack, you were flown off to the research base for urgent care. You were in surgery for a few hours, it being a struggle to get the bullet out without damaging your lungs. Thankfully, they were able to remove it without damaging any vital organs, however you didn't recover as fast as they hoped. Instead, you were in a coma, terrible news to the family who wished for you to come home to them.
You didn't know how to feel about all this, in your head it felt like a flash, everything happening in a few seconds. One moment you were gasping for air surrounded by your family, the next you were with Norm. You were confused more than anything, maybe it was shock. Norm could tell you were lost by the vacant expression on your face, gently taking your shoulder to comfort you.
"Don't worry (Y/N), recovery shouldn't take that long. In no time you'll be back home in no time." Suddenly, he gasped, giving you a dorky smile, "Oh, Jake should be here in a day or two. I bet you'll be happy to see him huh?"
You nod, clearly in another world, but Norm didn't seem to mind. Left to get you some food, coming back with a sandwich, Jell-O, and some juice, which you inhaled.
Felling content after your meal, you go attempt to get up from your bed, being halted by a sharp pain in your chest. Norm stops you quickly, moving you back down to your bed.
"Woah, hold up their kid, you're still recovering, believe it or not." She smooths out your blanket and give you a stern look, as stern as Norm can muster, "don't get up without anyone's help, got it?" You nod, getting a pat on the shoulder before he walks out of the room to get some doctors.
---
Recovery was the worst. At least in Jake's opinion.
Having to watch you struggle to breath as you move even a few small steps causes Jake pain of his own. Of course, he was ecstatic to her news of your recovery, and it took everything to keep him from telling his family, but he didn't want them to overwhelm you. Jake knew if Neytiri or Neteyam heard about you waking up, they'd be on their Ikran's before he could get a world out.
Jake watches from a distance with Norm as you and another doctor do breathing exercises together. Norm explained it to him, something about building up strength, he wasn't really listening. All he cared about was making sure you were okay to be sent back home with them, but Norm quickly shot that down.
"I'm just saying Jake," Norm whispers, pretty loudly due to their height difference. "I'd be dangerous to take them so soon." Jake's eyes don't leave you. "Just think of all the factors. Flying on an Ikran, swimming, hell, even just walking too fast can knock the wind out of them." Jake side eyes him.
"Are you questioning my ability to take care of my child?" Jake grumbles out. Norm jumps, surprised at the sudden hostility. Jake's eyes were back against his head and his tail was upright and ridged.
"No! No, of course not." Norm shakes his head, "Its just-"
"It's fine Norm, don't worry." Jake pats him on the back, a little too aggressive judging by Norm's slight discomfort.
"I'll take them home tonight." Jake smiles, "The kids miss them." Norm chuckles and nods, ignoring the sinking feeling in his stomach as Jake walks over to you.
---
You were asleep the whole Ikran ride. Jake took you late at night, packing all the medicine and machines you needed. Most of them were portable and could be used without an outlet.
Neyetam was waiting for him on the docks by their home. He shot up when he saw him, rushing over to help his father off his Ikran.
Neyetam never looked directly at you, avoiding you small body. He was afraid. Afraid that if he looked at you, he would see you bloody and broken, begging for him to help you, and he would be unable to do anything.
Jake carefully shifts you into his arms, shushing you when you stir in your sleep. "Neteyam." Jake calls. "Take your siblings stuff into the Marui." Neteyam doesn't bat an eye as he moves to take your belongings inside.
Inside the Marui, Neytiri was restless. She just got her other children asleep, giving up with Neteyam as she knew he wouldn't listen. She could focus as she passed around the room, waiting for her husband to walk in.
"Ma'Jake." She says nearly out of breath as he walks in with you, looking at your small frame with tears in her eyes. She cradles the part of your face that isn't blocked by the oxygen mask, her smile being mixed with a sob as she feels your warmth in her hand.
"They oxygen mask." Jake watches you carefully, "Its bigger cuz they need more air."
Neytiri ignores him, "Let me hold them." Jake doesn't question as he moves you to her arms. He's reminded of when you were much younger, when you'd fall asleep after a long day of playing, and Neytiri would lull you in her arms, singing you songs as she just watched you breathe.
Jake smiles as he leaves the Marui to help his son, happy his family is finally back together.
---
The days weren't exactly the same, but none of the Sully's really minded.
Jake was quick to explain your condition and how they had to be extra safe with you. No ruff housing, no swimming or flying, and no putting you in any danger. His children didn't argue, not wanting you to be sent away again.
You had to do treatments every day before you went to bed. Most of the time Jake would help you with it, him or Neytiri was she learned how to work all your machines.
Today however, both of your parents were busy, and while you were going to do it yourself, Neteyam offered to help.
"I know I'm not dad, but I don't want you doing it on your own."
"Okay." You pat the spot next to you on the ground, "Come, sit."
You hand him another mask, moving to clip your off. Neteyam panics, eyes darting from the mask in his hand to your face, "What are you doing?"
You give him a confused look, "Oh, I have to switch the masks, could you help me?" Neteyam nods, albeit slowly. He shifts behind you, listening as you take a deep breath. Neteyam's hands shake as he moves you mask off your face, rushing to put the other one on so fast he nearly misses a few clasps. Eventually, he gets it on, allowing him to finally breathe.
You push the mask up slightly to fit it better as you press a button the mask is connected to. In an instant, the machine makes a low buzzing sound, smoke traveling up the tube to your mask. Neteyam assumes it's medicine his dad was taking about.
You take a few deep breaths as the medicine fills your lungs. Neteyam watches you closely, analyzing your face. You look is distant, far away like you in another planet. You've been so quiet since you've come back, even Lo'ak and Tuk aren't able to get you to laugh like you once did.
"Hey." Neteyam starts, grasping your hand to gain your attention. "What's wrong. You've been so quiet. "You don't respond instantly, which scares Neteyam. The only sound was the buzzing of the machine. "You know always be here for you, right? I'm your big brother, I'll always protect you, no matter what." He chokes up at those words. He couldn't protect you that night. The reason why your tided up to these machines are because of him.
"Do you think I'm a burden?" You ask suddenly.
Neteyam gawks, "What?"
Your eyes are red and watery, "It's just, even before...you know." You pause and Neteyam's look sharpens, "I've always had to have one of you take care of me. I was the reason for the RDA's attack here. I've caused so many problems." Your worlds become more of sobs as you continue to speak, your breathing becoming labored. Neteyam rubs your back, breathing with you and waiting for you to calm down.
Once your breathing calms, Neteyam looks at you carefully, grasping both of your hands. "(Y/N), look at me." You do, your eyes still blotchy and red.
"You are, and never have been, a burden to us." He says sternly, "Your family" he says with conviction, shaking your hands a little. "It's our job to take care of you."
You roll your eyes and look away. "I know but-"
"No buts." He says, smiling as you giggle. He pulls you into a hug, careful to not disturb your mask while also hugging your tight.
"Thank you, Neteyam." You sigh.
"Don't worry about it." He says playfully. He slowly pulls you out of the hug, patting you on the head. "Let's get this off of you, mom and dad should be home too." He removes the clasps from your mask after turning off the machine. "The others too."
---
The rest of the night was uneventful, and thankfully Neteyam didn't tell anyone about you moment earlier.
However, you couldn't get it out of your mind, your head filled with so many thoughts you could barely keep up. You were a burden, you knew it. You caused so much trouble for so many people, including the only family you've ever known.
You can't stand yourself sometimes, all these negative emotions piling up until you couldn't handle it. Tonight, was one of those nights. You snuck out to watch the water below. You weren't allowed to swim with your siblings, your parents being afraid you get hurt.
It was calming, until it wasn't.
You would tell Jake was coming before you saw him. Your body tensed up when he sat down next to you.
"You supposed to be in bed."
"I couldn't sleep."
Jake's eyebrows wave slightly at your sudden response. He grumbles, watching you kick your feet in the water.
"I know what your talk with Neteyam." You don't react to his worlds, prompting him to continue.
"You're not a burden." He said, wrapping his arm around you, his body filling with warmth as you lay your head on his chest. "You our kid, my kid."
He rubs your arm, shaking his head, "None of this was your fault." He whispers, his hold slowly tightening, "It was them. Not you."
When Jake's sure you're asleep he kisses the crown of your head and picks you up. He stares at you for a while, reminiscing on you being a little kid and when he could protect you from everything. He wishes things would go back to the way it once was. When you were small and innocent.
"Never again." Jake whispers as he leads you back into the Marui, swearing to never let you be hurt again.

this is literally just a random wee blurb for the inexperienced!pornstar!steve x experienced!pornstar!reader series because i just wanted an excuse to write them🤠anyways! enjoy! feel free to send more concepts i can work on after smutober!
masterlist
.
“Pleasepleasepleaseplease—”
“You’re such a pretty beggar for me, Stevie,” you cooed, your words dripping with that sweet, condescending tone that always made him squirm.
His chest heaved. “I-I can’t—”
“You can. And you will.” There was no room for discussion. “Be a good boy for the camera. They wanna see my good boy come.”
Steve was almost embarrassed to admit to you his complete lack of experience when it came to toys. Well, to be honest, he lacked experience in more factors than you’d expect for a pornstar with his following, but the toys shocked you.
He wasn’t a complete idiot. He had watched other people use them on themselves. He had seen Eddie scroll through websites before purchasing them. Hell, Eddie had even shown Steve his collection a few times.
But it never occurred to Steve that he could use them too. He didn’t even really think it was a guy thing until Eddie. And then after that, he just didn’t know where to even start. He didn’t think people would have been interested.
A fact he would come to learn he was very, very wrong about.
You had introduced a whole new world to him. And his audience loved it. They loved watching him whine and whimper at the end of the bed whilst you fucked yourself. They loved watching you slowly work him open with plugs and all sorts that he never dared to consider using on himself. They loved watching you tie him up with fluffy handcuffs and place a blindfold over him as you teased him with the wax candles you had ordered from a website Eddie had recommended.
But he knew they would love this even more.
“I’m sorry,” he sobbed out, his eyes glossy and wet with tears that streamed down his flushed cheeks, but you don’t think he had ever looked prettier. “I wanna be your good boy. Please let me be your good boy.”
His hands strained against the ropes tying him to the headboard as he watched you slowly crawl up the bed. He hated the distance you kept from him, from touching him like he so desperately wanted you too. He hated that instead of touching him, your fingers were wrapped around the little, black remote that had been the cause of all his pain and pleasure in the last forty minutes.
“You’re such a good boy for me, Steve,” you hummed, your eyes glancing down to his cock. He was hard—painfully hard—and his tip was red and swollen, leaking with need that only his release could give him. “Taking it all so well, baby, so fucking well.”
The buzz echoed through the bedroom, taunting and teasing him as your thumb hovered over the remote buttons. His hips bucked upwards as the buzzing suddenly increased, a choked out moan leaving his lips as he desperately sought his release.
“Please,” he cried out, his voice cracking as his big, brown eyes looked at you, pleading.
Your eyes glanced over to the camera set up in the corner of the room, standing proudly on the tripod with its red light blinking at you. You then turned to look down at the squirming boy beneath you, his abs softly clenching as he tried to fight the urge to buck his hips in the air aimlessly.
“Do you think you deserve to come?” You asked him simply.
His lips parted, eyes darting over your face.
“It’s not a trick question, pretty boy,” you murmured with a smile on your lips. “Do you think you deserve to come?”
He gulped. “Yes, ma’am.”
Your finger lightly traced along his jaw. “And where do you wanna come, baby?”
“Inside you,” he whimpered out, his head turning in a desperate attempt to seek out your touch a little longer. “Wanna fill you up. Please, let me fill you up. I’ve been so good, baby, so fucking good. Just wanna give you something too.”
You softly bit your lower lip, feeling the coil in the pit of your stomach tighten. “Yeah, pretty boy? You gonna fill me up all nice and good?”
“So good,” he whined. “Not gonna let a single drop spill. Promise.”
“How can I say no to that?” You murmured as you leaned down, your lips brushing against his as your thumb pressed down on the remote once again. “Just a little longer and then maybe you’ll get what you want, pretty boy.”
“But—” He was cut off by his own desperate cry.
“You said you weren’t gonna waste a drop, pretty boy. So don’t.”
“Yes, ma’am.”

YN Tomlinson & Harry Styles
Tumblr media
Our Story Masterlist Summary: YN Tomlinson is Louis's sister and is in a relationship with Harry Styles. Louis discusses a small part of their relationship on a talk show.
Warning: swearing
A/N: I’m thinking of making this into a series. Let me know what you think.
***
“Alright I’m Louis Tomlinson..and I've just been on the Zach Sang show talkin’ ‘bout all sorts..check it out” Louis introduces the show whilst sitting on the brown leather sofa. ---
“We have Louis Tomlinson..It’s nice to see ya” Zach began.
“Hello hello” Louis announced.
“Does it still piss you off when people call you Lewis ‘cause that is not your name?” Zach asked.
“No because people back home..basically right..I mean my name is Louis but I didn’t luv’ it when I wer’ younger..once I was old enough..don’t know why just didn’t really luv’ it so I got known as Lewis, all me friends from home call me Lewis and then I get there on me..on me..first day at The X Factor wiv’ Simon and you know wha’ I mean all the judges and he called me Louis and like you know wha’ I mean there's 3,000 people there..I’m absolutely brickin’ me’self..I’m not about to say..excuse me a minute you’ve got me name wrong..even though it is me actual name..you know..so then it stuck..so I’m kinda both..kinda both..there’s a little story about my name” Louis explained whilst laughing about the pronunciation of his name.
The host laughed at Louis's response and continued to ask “Why were you not a Louis fan growing up..did you feel like Lewis was more serious..did it give you a..”. Before Zach could finish, Louis interrupted “Do you know what it was..when we wer’ younger..me sister YN would constantly say me name..like constantly Louis this and Louis tha’..and it was fookin’ annoying” both hosts laughed at Louis’ re-enactment of his sister “So one day..I told her me name was Lewis..and it just stuck to be honest wiv you”.
“So basically YN is to blame for why you didn’t like your name growing up” Zach continued to laugh.
“Yeah..pretty much” Louis laughed along with the host.
“Talking about your sister YN..” Louis began laughing and shaking his head, whilst sitting up straighter “Why are you laughing?” Zack asked.
“I..I just know what’s comin’ mate” Louis stated whilst readjusting the black hat on his head.
“Your sister YN is in a relationship with Harry Styles…right?” Zach confidently asked.
“Here we fookin’ go...ugh yeah she is..he’s a brave lad let me tell you” Louis began, again making the two other men laugh at his words “No..no…I’m only jokin’ but yeah they’re together”.
Zach asked, whilst continuing to laugh “What do you mean brave…brave because she’s your sister or..”.
Louis realised what he said could have been misinterpreted and began to explain “Ohh no..I..I..don’t mean brave because I’m gonna go all big brother on him..but..I..brave 'cause she’s sumit else man” Louis added with a laugh “..like she’s me sister remember so she’s like the female version of me..you know what I’m sayin”.
“Aw..I thought you meant like brave because she’s your sister and..you know the whole don’t go near her type of thing” Zack explained.
“No..no…if anything I should have had a rule for YN to stay away from Harry” Louis joked. “No..in all seriousness..even at the beginning I was..uh I don’t know how to feel about this..ya know..me sister and me bandmate..me best friend”. Zach interrupted “Yeah..it must have been a bit of a shock for you..like what do you even do in that situation?”.
“Do you know what..I didn't handle it too well at that start” Louis laughed.
“What do you mean?” Zack asked, curious as to what Louis meant by his statement. "Well...I found out at the same time as the rest of the world...you know wha' I mean...and I was just so angry because...you know she's me sister..and he's me best mate" Louis explained whilst picking at the skin around his nail, a nervous habit he had. "But..I..I eventually calmed down and..me Grandad had a bit of a chat with me about it all..and I won't go into detail...but he just made me realise that I had to let YN make her choices..and I'm so glad I did 'cause look at them both now" Louis ended with a chuckle. "So..you weren't suspicious or anything...like you didn't know?" the host questioned. "If I'm 'onest..no I didn't have a fookin' clue man" Louis laughed "But..when I think back..I should have seen it" Louis began to explain whilst moving the microphone closer to his mouth "like I remember her comin’ to stay at our flat in London once..and her eyes would literally fookin’ follow the lad…but at the time I just didn't realise…and then after the photo was leaked..she came on tour wiv us when we wer’ in the band…she was like our stylist's assistant type of thing..and..um…wherever Harry was YN was not far away…they’re the same age and liked the same kinda stuff so…yeah”
“What was that like having your sister on tour with you?”.
“Uhh..well she was too busy wiv me best mate” Louis laughed at his own joke “Do you know what…I loved having her there wiv us..It was nice to have that part of home wiv me you know”.
“You’re exposing her secrets Louis” Zach laughed along.
“She’ll fookin’ go crazy on me when I see her” Louis joked “No..If I’m being honest..I’m so grateful that she’s got someone like Harry..we’ve been through some shit times and..I..I’m just so glad that she’s got a lovely lad..that’s all I want is for me family to be ‘appy” Louis smiled at the host, trying to indicate that he wanted to move the conversation on “..and she is ‘appy”.

why do you think that female char are no longer well written on jjk? /genq (i am caught up with the manga so don't worry about spoilers)
SPOILERS AHEAD!!! for me all of this began with nobara's death and it went downhill from there, now see I understand it might've been important to give yuuji motivation etc but when a roach naoya get's to survive again and again after getting killed but there is no hope for nobara who was one touch kill and had chances of survival but doesn't purely for shock factor, it doesn't sit right with me.
Okay, ignore even that maybe it's my attachment to the character talking so let's talk about other female characters: most of the fandom forgets momo exists that's how useless he made her, she suffered no serious damage (not as far as I remember) and her only active role was in kyoto goodwill arc and an appearance in shibuya we barely see her after that.
Gege treats female characters as a catalyst for mcs, either they're completely useless or get killed off or even if they're powerful enough they're barely mentioned or shown doing something useful.
Example for catalyst: We literally never really see Utahime in action except in Shinjuku Battle to boost Gojo's ct. Like really? That's your semi grade 1 sorcerer and all throughout the manga that was her only role?
Example for completely useless: I already talked about momo, lets about miwa okay, she put her everything to that one swing post-shibuya against kenjaku only for him to deflect it with his bare hands and what about her after that? Nothing!! She gave up everything and now she cannot do anything, just another cheap tactic to get rid of another useful character.
Example for killed: Listen I will accept Mai's death because it served the purpose and was one of the most impressive parts but other than that? Yuki Tsukumo, the special grade, the star plasma that rejected even tengen and cornered kenjaku, her death was so anticlimactic and unsatisfactory, she was practically winning but apparently "a miscalculation" caused her death, listen I like a shocking plot twist and death but that seemed like nothing but an excuse to get rid of another strong female character because gege had no idea how he'd use her in future.
More example for catalyst: Tsumiki and Yorozu (aka the same body but!) she was such a driving force for Megumi but after Culling Game arc hit we got a tease of her (or them) and that provided more motivation for megumi to fix things to work harder to bring his sister back but instead of seeing more of her gege killed her off after sukuna took over megumi's body because her purpose was served!! Done. She was there as long as she could be used as a beacon of hope for our poor boy.
Example of if powerful then they're barely shown: Shoko and Mei Mei, we know both of them are quite capable, they've proved their worth and aside from the fact that Mei Mei is a fucking pedophile she's still a great sorcerer but now she doesn't care about sorcerers and henceforth isn't present/doesn't provide much or any help at all other than the telecast. Shoko on the other hand, we're supposed to believe that her using rct is special and she's one of the most important characters mind you she's the part of the og trio but we rarely get to see her. Even know (the up to date manga chapters) they keep talking about taking the injured sorcerers to shoko but they never !! show !! her !! in !! action !! Like c'mon she's been working overtime but SOMEHOW gege can't dedicate more than four panels to her?
Now onto Maki, the only one standing, the only female character gege truly utilised gave her one heck of goal and arc and then very conveniently forgot her for next 100 chapters. She's great yes, and gege's finally back to currently giving her the attention she deserves which I am very skeptical about because if he just kills her off in next chapter to make a statement istg...but everytime she's mentioned they HAVE to mention toji, it's almost like she'll never leave his shadow, all her achievements are boiled down to FEMALE TOJI which, don't get me wrong I love toji but she's more than that, she's a monster because she wiped out a whole clan not because she shares same superhuman powers as her predecessor and dare I say she's already surpassed toji at this point.
Let's not forget Uro and Angel/Hana whom gege brought in once for one job and then we all completely forgot about them. (I am mentioning them last because he's done this with many other characters so they're truly not an unique case in that sense)
Returning back to when jjk first was fairly new and we had these panels
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it was hype we thought FINALLY!!!! she doesn't denounce her femininity but isn't used as a fan service material through them either and she's fucking nuts and strong FINALLY!!! only for gege to go well now that you've had the crumbs you're getting neither, not the pretty ones nor the strong ones and even if they're strong I am going to act like they don't exist so have fun!! And that's why I think he's really downgraded.

kung lao in the spider-monk au
Tumblr media
none of this super awesome epic story will make sense without PART 1 !!! explains how liu kang became spiderman
all story below the readmore VVV
when liu leaves for america, lao is hurt. he knows, logically, that raiden is the one to blame, but liu didn't even fight to stay or take lao with him.
and then deadpool comes along.
the vigilante slash mercenary is just stopping by, purely coincidence. decided he wanted to see the place. kung lao, of course, was naturally curious, and approched to say hello. to his surprise, deadpool is fluent in mandarin, and they strike up a lengthy conversation about their different lives. at one point, deadpool mentions "his spider-monk back home". kung lao naturally asks about it.
deadpool pulls out his phone, and pulls up a selfie of him and spidey- spidey's mask is half- up his face, and he's in the middle of trying to eat a taquito. deadpool is going on about the selfie, but.. kung lao is focused on the face. the lips of this 'spidey'. they have the exact two matching scars that liu's lips have, from when they were 8 and had the brilliant idea to get into body modification. it's the same mouth kung lao has seen scarfing down soup after training that reaches for a bit of taquito in the picture.
deadpool realises after a few seconds of silence that kung lao is in shock. and then that kung lao is crying. oh, shit.
kung lao spills immediately. he's ranting. he's raving.
HOW could liu do this?? first, leave without a hint of remorse to america of all places, second, start taking up dangerous hobbies, and third, NEVER FUCKING TELL HIM????? what was he thinking!? the idiot will get himself killed doing stupid shit without kung lao there.
deadpool offers the condolence that "he's definitely guilty about it, and i know he misses you. assuming, here, that you're the 'other half' he's always waxing poetic about."
and then, because he's an agent of chaos, deadpool offers payback: a secret to keep from liu. that way they're even. deadpool can offer training. (aka, wade really likes this kid and wants an excuse to hang about)
lao accepts immediately.
it's the next month that sees good news finally arrive-- in the best decision he's made since the 18th century, raiden is sending kung lao overseas to be with liu kang.
kung lao moves in on liu's last day of school.
raiden never told liu that lao was coming. liu kang comes home to find lao standing in the flat, like an idiot, staring at the doorway.
hugs. embraces.
then kung lao gives liu the tongue-lashing of the century. liu, fully aware at this point he's been a dick, takes it. then they hug again.
they spend the entire summer break together causing chaos in NYC, finally back together again, the dynamic duo.
and then liu discovers kung lao's secret-
not only has kung lao been training with deadpool, he's started his own stint as a vigilante.
needless to say, the fight that ensues is a whirlwind of huge, horrible emotions, name-calling, blame-throwing, and hurtful words.
they've made up by the end of the night anyway, because they both get miserably sad when they're mad at each other. unfortunately, their solution to the newfound power imbalance they've correctly identified as the unfair factor is possibly the dumbest plan any teenage vigilante has EVER thought of.
they're going to infiltrate oscorp, steal one of those fancy spiders that bit liu, have it bite lao so he has powers too, and then be on their merry way.
and they do it. and it fucking works. by some miracle, it works. peter and ned, now in on the secret, are their guys in the chair. mj is their strategist. they infiltrate, they steal, they escape, and oscorp are none the wiser. and even more miraculous, the spider doesn't kill kung lao.
kung lao develops powers, though they're slightly different from liu's-- he can't stick to things, and he isn't quite as strong. however, his regeneration is more comparable to deadpool's than to liu's, and he's got bones of steel-- he's practically impossible to hurt now. fitting.
and so he takes his RIGHTFUL place at liu's side as an equal vigilante, and after they're out of their month-long grounding for pulling that stunt without telling matt anything, they're a veritable vigilante family. matt is trying to obtain legal guardianship over them, and they're fine with that.
(lao, as a vigilante, calls himself styx. he's visually not a successor to deadpool, but when you see him on the field, deadpool's humor and violent tendencies have very much rubbed off on him.)

I had just finished reading your bunny darling with Tighnari post and was kinda wondering how Tighnari would react and how his life is going after our poor got Stockholm Syndrome. If you don't wanna write about that, that's fine but I still wanna know how life's going or what if Cyno found out what he did?
About the fox and the rabbit part one:
I actually have a part two planned, but before I manage to write that, I'll simply elaborate it here. Well, in my previous Tighnari oneshot I mentioned Cyno's undying support for Tighnari ;( after all Cyno did say that he's like a brother to him. Oh also some nsfw mentions may occur.
And what's a better way to help a family member by watching over their pet sometimes? Things happen alright, sometimes our ranger is busy and Cyno has to step in.
That's absolutely infuriating however; how could a man like Cyno, the general, someone who usually cares about peoples wellbeing possibly assist in this?
Well, you see; you're just a tiny bunny. You're so irrelevant and really unimportant that it's simply harm reduction :( to Cyno, letting Tighnari take you is better for everyone. It has a few causes, one that he realises just how important mates are for fennecs. They mate for life alright, and Cyno knows well just how melancholic Tighnari will get if the mate is taken away.
I feel like it's worth a mention that Cyno did scold Tighnari somewhat for this, cause he did mate himself to you on his own accord. But what's done is done, and perhaps it's better to let Tighnari have someone to use his feral instincts on.
Another factor coming into Cyno's understanding is also the way Nari portrays you. Like come on it's just a small rabbit. It's weird really; you're a mate, at the same time you're reduced to a house pet. To be loved, pet, squeezed, without real possession over your own body, but still his mate.
A part of Cyno kinds of understand that. Maybe when Tighnari let Cyno take a look at his mate, he made sure you were too fucked out beforehand to be able to protest and show any sign of the slightest inteligence.
He didn't really have to do that to get Cyno on his side though. As shocked as Cyno was to find it out, I think he was the first one to notice the warning signs before you've arrived? And since you're demoted to a level of a house pet in their eyes, he won't mind watching over you when Tighnari is especially busy.
Oh, same with getting away actually. Don't think you'll get far with two hunters on your back; escape is practically impossible, I mean. Running away itself may be easy, but Tighnari will find you. He always does. And if he can't, Cyno is more than willing to help out.
Like I'm sorry, but you're not that important, and if keeping you locked is all it takes to keep Tighnari's hard working, nice and loving ethic to the public eye, Cyno is willing to make that sacrifice.
Enough about them though, what I planned for darling? Aside from the fact I usually write narration as unreliable, that you're dumb, non important, I'll just mention this once. So I don't have to again, I suppose; darling is definitely a smart person. Like, inteligent, on Tighnari's level, imagine that or even above his inteligence. It works all these ways, even if she's very knowledgeable, but slightly less than Tighnari.
All of these are the same infuriating factors that made Nari decide that you learn your place. What's better way to do that than constant humiliation?
He's a fox okay he needs something to get his feelings out on. And you're perfect to grab and toss around and bend and fiddle and undre- we are digressing here. Well, given since reader is indeed not just a dumb bunny, she doesn't bend to his will when he's not home.
I mean he's a scary fox, but when he's gone, you have a clear route of playing your escape. It gives you time to scan the surroundings through the window, gather items, hide them. You aren't a coward usually; but he's a predator after all. You are fully aware he can't kill you due to the bond, but he never mentioned not being able to mutilate you.
He won't do that, but he's scar okay. Your brain will easily convince you that as longest as you stay alive he will be able to mess with your anatomy in any way to keep you there. And so when he finally leaves the house one unfortunate day you manage to slip out. You made sure he didn't lock the doors or the window properly. Whatever you did, you were on the run.
The forest is vast, so your little expedition took a day or so. But you had food, and clothes, you were prepared. In fact you'd be free and already in Fontaine if not someone saying that a suspicious looking traveler is rummaging through the forests.
Once Cyno learned the description of said.. travel. It was up to him to help the man he called his best friend. Perhaps he'd notify Tighnari and let him have the thrill of dealing with you, perhaps he'd grab you by your plush ear and drag you back to Tighnari.
Whatever happened you end up back where you started, and you won't hear the end of it. Oh how worried sick he was, how stupid must you be to run away anymore? You're just a bunny, you're safe here! How he cares about you and other infuriating bs, most importantly he's really mad. And he's not the type of a guy to beat you up even when he's mad? The most you get is being suffocated and railed till you're simply crying.
A part of that is due to the fact that he doesn't want you to keep your brains. Surely if he fucks you hard and well enough you'll understand? ? ? I mean that's how it must be working. If he does that each time before he's gone you'll be docile and sweet and soft like a bunny is supposed to be!
Tighnari didn't really do that as often with you before, so it really did work in keeping you brain-dead after he finally found you again. And since you did have some brains, you were unlikely to develop any attachment to him; then again your intelligence went out of the window the moment he saw you. He's terrifying to put it short, even if you heard people say how sweet and nice he is before.
He himself proved to you just how scary he is, and with him keeping your brain fuzzy for months on end after this endeavour, you're not sure if you don't find yourself slipping in your sanity. Perhaps letting him do these things IS better than having to be constantly on the run !

Ninjago Dragons Rising Season 2 - Is It Good Or Nah?
Tumblr media
So, I'm late to the party, aren't I?
Well I've had so much work that I think I'm having an existential crisis. So I had to wait till I had a free day to watch this season because I wanted to watch it with my GF.
We got to Episode 6, and then what did my boss do?
Slap me in the face with long work hours several days of the week.
I feel like I'm in a spiral of work after work after work with no purpose to life besides failure cause I can't trust myself to be capable at anything-
ANYWAY. We finished it now.
You know what the insane part about the season is? That it got the show trending on Tumblr.
That's an INSANE level of hype right there.
So I seriously had to ask myself "What the actual f**k happened in the show that caused THIS much hype?!"
So... here are my thoughts on the season.
SPOILER WARNING
Okay, so this may be a factor of my judgement, but due to my schedule, I was forced to watch only 6 Episodes one day, and then the last 4 Episodes today. Keep that in mind.
When it came to the first half of the season, was it good?
Yes. Obviously.
Was it living up to the insane level of hype?
Uh... not really for me??
Now, don't take that as a negative. This season is still REALLY good.
After the first season took awhile to get started as it needed to set up its characters and this new world, it makes sense for this season to throw the punches immediately.
The season gets started with its main plot right away with Ras immediately putting his plan into action, and by Episode 2, it's very clear the threat level he opposes and it's believable that we should be intimidated by what he wants.
Even though in Episode 2's fight, while AMAZINGLY choreographed, I was just screaming at the screen "HIT THE PERSON HOLDING THE GONG."
Like seriously, more than one of the characters in this fight can use projectiles with their powers AND they have a blaster in the Bounty, and the show never says that Ras has some sort of armor defense preventing him from getting blasted. He's literally standing out in the open. And the gong is clearly what's giving Cinder power. So HIT THE PERSON WITH THE GONG.
GOSH.
Anyway, that's not important. What's important is that this season's fight choreo is genuinely AMAZING. I am obsessed with the way the camera moves with the characters in these fights you have no idea. I was genuinely blown away by the last episode's fight in particular. But more on the ending later.
What also shocked me was how BRUTAL some of the stuff that happens here is, which caught me off guard.
I mean, Episode 2 has Euphrasia getting ambushed and crashed off the Cloud Kingdom with clear injuries, and Wyldfyre getting her leg SHATTERED. Like, WHAT?! HOW OFTEN DOES THAT HAPPEN?!! (Even though the latter's healing was unrealistic. Like, it would realistically take months for an injury like that to heal. Not a critique, just saying.)
Ras body slams Jordanna at one point. He puts Arin in a CHOKEHOLD. And also beats him up so brutally... like OMG this guy does not mess around.
The Fear Cave Trial also REALLY got me tripping. Not only was it such a visually appealing moment, but it also, as the same suggests, showed several character psyches that were insane.
Except Kai for some reason. That's gonna drive me NUTS until I get an answer. WHAT DID HE SEE-?!
Then we get to the dragon mentors, and...
Yeah the season kinda loses me in the middle.
Don't get me wrong, I love the character bits here as much as anyone. But with how dyer they made the threat of Ras before, Ras and his forces take a backseat in the middle portion of the season and we're mostly just sitting at these training grounds talking. And for four episodes of it? It's a little grating, even if it is important.
The middle is mostly where most of my issues with the season stand. And here's where I get all my negatives out of the way:
Like I said, because this season is so long, there's an awkward pause in the conflict on the dragons plotline to learn this Rising Dragon Technique. Which I wouldn't mind if it wasn't FOUR EPISODES of it.
With the exception of the attack at the Land of Lost Things ONCE, Ras's army doesn't go after the ninja at all. I can kinda get the dragons group since they didn't have Bonzle, but he has to know that they ARE a threat, right? They're obviously trying to figure out how to stop you.
And even with the group that has Bonzle, what they NEED, the forces that go after that group is the Administration and the one off magician man villain, the former really didn't need to be in this season even if it was for a compelling Jay cameo, and the latter has overstayed his welcome at this point and I just rolled my eyes when he showed up on screen.
I'm all for Cole being a badass as much as the next guy, but WHY this magician man, who at this point, is so disconnected with the main antagonistic forces that he serves no purpose?
Why not, I don't know, use this screen time instead to explain what in the world happened with Cole when he left?
Seriously, the first season had this huge cliffhanger with Cole's character and him going after Wu's ghost. I wonder what's gonna happen to him and what he's gonna find out-
Oh. He's just back.
That to me is a huge disappointment. What was the point of him leaving the Lost Family in the first place if this journey was basically nothing? He doesn't even talk about it! COME ON NOW.
Also I think Zane should get slay pass on the Administration guy that called him equipment. What do y'all think?
I don't like Egot. Or whatever his name was. He's very condescending and cryptic and talks down to his only hope of the world being saved. But I think I'm supposed to dislike him for it, and there's gonna be more of his characterization revealed later, so don't take this one as a critique. The female one is great though.
The sorceress lady was... a choice in the narrative. My one critique for the ending was the potion shenanigans. Not because they were bad, but because they just felt so out of place among everything else. Like, "Oh, this finale is too dark and intense! We need to occasionally cut to wacky shenanigans with this sorceress's magic to prevent kids from feeling too much dread!"
I don't know, for me, I would've placed this stuff with the Administration instead, and instead have the group fight Jordanna, lose, and have her get away and flow that to Arin getting to her. Especially since the Administration posed such little threat to them and they even say such.
(I also have a theory that this sorceress is Wyldfyre's birth mom. I have no evidence to back this up besides "They both have red hair and similar facial structure")
With Cloud Kingdom getting taken over and Euphrasia captured, I thought she would have more of a role to play in this since this is, you know, her HOME and she's their guardian.
But nope. She does next to nothing up until the very end and plays prisoner and waits for the ninja to save her.
For gosh sake girl, you're the master of wind. FLY.
And finally, my last critique, Cinder.
Yeah I'm sorry, I'm not buying this character so far. Not that I don't think he'll have anything to do in the second part, but for how threatening he was in Episode 2, that threat level kinda vanishes in the middle and only comes back at the end. He does next to nothing and we learn nothing about him other than "He likes power". Jordanna is probably more unlikeable, but at least she has conflict going on with Ras and her magic, and she still serves more of a role in the plan besides being a foot soldier.
And... yep. That's all my critiques for this season. Which all seem pretty minor.
You know what this season is real good at? Characters.
As though that wasn't obvious already.
I did NOT expect Bonzle to play any major role at all, I thought she was just gonna be the dry and cynical side character. But no. She has a history. She has a life. She has emotions. All of which REALLY shine through at the end when you hear her voice have more range in it. The VA killed it. I ended up feeling so bad for her.
Especially considering what happens to her.
They're also not even hiding it anymore with Geo x Cole. They're just NOT. I love them and I hope we see more of their relationship in the future.
I genuinely don't understand the critique of "Geo is so selfish referring to him as Cole's family when it's obvious Cole has other people in his life."
Well no shit, you ever heard of a character flaw?
But it's also a completely understandable flaw. You guys aren't forgetting the part where Geo was abandoned for being a mixed race, right? Of course he's gonna cling to someone as compassionate and encouraging as Cole.
The Jay cameo was nice. I expect him to play no role in this season, but it's really compelling what they showed and I was satisfied with it.
Lloyd's conflict was handled very well in my opinion.
What's it called when it's PTSD, but it's about future events rather than past events? Foresight Traumatic Stress Disorder? FTSD? Yeah let's go with that.
For a kids show that glosses over trauma, (That's not a Ninjago problem, that's a kids show problem), it was really refreshing for them to not do that for once. It's actually explored and talked about and Lloyd is given advice on how to cope with it, and he freezes up in panic attacks when these visions happen and-THANK YOU. THANK YOU FOR NOT IGNORING HOW HARD SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS.
Seriously, as someone who is going through stuff like this, minus the magic element, it spoke to me a lot. It really shows that this show grew up with me, and I both love and hate that.
I do think this sort of arc is going to hit hard for adults much more than kids.
Are kids constantly terrified of the future and getting paralyzed with these fears and finding it difficult to cope with the traumas that is time and human life?
No?
Kai is also a standout in this, especially towards the end. This is by far the best Kai has been in a long time in terms of quality. I love how one of his most significant flaws gets addressed here, that being his overreliance on himself and his own abilities over the others, who he feels responsible to protect.
And the way he grasps with that and learns to let loose like he did as a child back in the old days through what he loves the most, that being his family. And the flashbacks with him and his sister. And the whole sequence of him learning Rising Dragon - AUGH ITS SO GOOD.
How poetic is it that the character most devoted to family since childhood is only cocky and angry because of his own desire to be the one with power to keep them safe, gets power by letting that go, being a kid again, and joining the same roots as his own family?
AND THEN HE GIVES UP HIS LIFE FOR THEM-
And finally, Arin.
Oh you poor sweet, sweet child.
First of all, yes, I am completely subscribed to the theory that the show is building up Arin turning on the ninja and becoming a villain. It's all there. It all fits. The amount of times they say how sweet he is as though that's gonna get lost. The dragons, the creators of the world, the gods basically, telling him he's not good enough. Ras confronting him. Sora's stunt even after she's been the most encouraging of him, like the BETRAYAL there. It's all there. And I will be posting my theory scenario on this don't you worry.
BUT, I don't think that's the route they're gonna go. Kids show and all of that. They wouldn't do that to one of their main characters. Unless you're Star Wars. At most I think Arin will be tempted by Ras's master's power in an episode and even do it, but then with the power of love and friendship, it'll get fixed.
So instead I'd rather say that Arin, by far, has the BEST power crisis arc of the entire show so far.
I LOVE that he doesn't get powers. That's something the original show would've done. I LOVE that he doesn't figure anything out in the end and his inner doubts get proven correct. That's something the original show would not have the guts to do.
I liked Arin in the first season, but he didn't interest me too much. Mostly because Sora had the lion share of focus in the first season. Here though? He might just take the crown for THE most relatable character. And I both love and hate it so much.
Like, seeing everyone else succeed in mastery while you can't even figure out your own thing. You get told you have a natural talent and a lot of potential and that you're good at a lot of things, only for that to be put to the test in the real world and you end up letting everyone down. Even when your loved ones encourage you that you are good enough and you're special in your own way, you can't get those voices out of your head and you mess up again and again and again to try and meet the world's expectations. Then those in charge tell you you're not good enough and wasted potential. Then you try everything out in the real world anyway and you FAIL, and those that doubt you and your own insecurities get proven correct as you're left a broken mess of a young child who doesn't know what the hell they're doing-
I'M IN THIS SHOW AND I DON'T LIKE IT.
I probably love Sora more as a character, but I will admit I grasp towards Arin more right now. Sora's a great trans allegory in a world that hates trans people. But I'm not trans so I relate to it a bit less. Arin's a great autistic allegory in a world that doesn't know how to help autistic people. And I am autistic so I relate to it more. That's just a me situation.
I am so invested in where Arin's story goes from here. Evil or not.
So yeah, the season was good, but didn't completely live up to the insane hype, which, to be fair, is a high bar.
UNTIL THE LAST FOUR EPISODES.
And then all of a sudden, I AM SHOCKED AND SHAKEN TO MY CORE.
These last four episodes are an absolute emotional roller coaster that left me shaking and screaming the whole time.
I actually SCREAMED at multiple occasions.
I actually screamed so many times watching this that I am now HOARSE.
THAT'S how hard it hit me.
The story goes from 0 to 100 the moment the Blood Moon shows up. Which was what the whole season was building up to. And it did NOT disappoint.
The race to try and protect Bonzle. The intense visions and paralysis Lloyd suffers from. Ras and the army coming back to the plot to be absolute powerhouses. The last episode of DREAD the entire time to desperately try to stop this ritual.
HUMAN SACRIFICES?! AM I WATCHING A KIDS SHOW RIGHT NOW?!?!
I was begging for Arin to succeed at getting Bonzle to safety, even though I knew he stood no chance against Ras. "Come on Arin! You got this!! YOU GOT THIS, SWEETIE!!"
And then Ras just goes to TOWN on the poor boy and taunts his utter failure, which HURTS SO BAD MAN.
The entire fight with the army, Cinder, and Ras. The destruction of the mechs which knocks them unconscious for a bit. Kai figuring out Rising Dragon again when his family gets put in danger. The way Nya avenges her brother afterwards.
When Bonzle was getting morphed back into spell form, BEGGING, I was begging too.
But they still do it!
And KAI?!?!
I couldn't even process what happened other than me screaming. From the moment Ras alluded to sacrificing Kai against his consent, I was screaming "NO. DON'T DO IT."
AND THEN THEY SACRIFICE HIM.
LIKE HOLY GOSH THIS FINALE DID NOT MESS AROUND.
I predicted a while back, in the first season actually, that Kai was gonna get sacrificed at some point. Who's laughing now? I DID NOT WANT TO BE RIGHT.
Like, usually in Ninjago the character would be willing to sacrifice themselves for the others. But here? This is without Kai's consent at all. Ras might as well have killed him right here.
It definitely felt that way with the way the others react and BEG for his safety. The way Nya avenges him.
And Kai giving up his shot at escape for the sake of his family? BRO. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
It hurts even more when you realize that when the Merge happened, Lloyd was ALONE thinking only he survived. He only gained hope again because of his reunion with Kai. His beloved surrogate brother!
AND NOW HE'S GONE.
NYA AND LLOYD LOST THEIR BROTHER.
WYLDFYRE LOST HER SURROGATE FATHER.
THEY THINK HE'S BASICALLY DEAD.
BRO. THAT'S SOUL CRUSHING.
And then Sora?! Why you gotta betray Arin like that?!
The most encouraging friend towards Arin, the person who held onto hope and praises for him the most, betrays that hope and doesn't trust him enough to get the winning blow himself. Then LIES about it.
GIRL. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
That's going to be SO compelling once that gets outed. Like, morally, that was messed up and she was definitely in the wrong, BUT it led to the best possible outcome for them at the moment. They WON because she did NOT believe in Arin's abilities. Which only proves that the doubts about Arin's said abilities are correct.
And I have a gut feeling she's gonna learn Spinjitsu on top of that. And once that happens... double ouch.
Again, Evil Arin Theory.
I really hate to say it, but this reminds way too much of Arcane. If you know what I'm talking about.
I am totally imagining a situation similar to that in my head, that being a rescue mission for Kai, they decide to leave Arin out of it because of the lack of faith in him, he tags along anyway and he ruins their plan and Kai stays trapped there, Lloyd and Sora lash out on him for it, and before they can apologize they get thrusted back by something and Ras and Ras's master find Arin and take him in-
Again, I'll make a post about that.
The finale was by far the best part of this season. It has been a long time since Ninjago has made me HOARSE from being too invested.
That has not happened to me since Sons of Garmadon.
Because, yeah, I actually have NO IDEA where any of this is headed. How are they gonna save Kai and Bonzle? Why did some of Lloyd's visions not come true? What in the world is going on with Ras? Will the Administration help with that? Will the source dragons help with that?
What I probably do know is that Part 2 of this season is going to turn this into the best Ninjago Product since Tournament of Elements. Maybe even top it depending on my rewatches if my problems are still problems.
So... yeah. Good or Nah? Good. Obviously.
The hype is a little overblown to me, but it still deserves the hype.

helllo!! i hope you don't mind me asking this but, since puppeteer reader is stuck in 'welcome home' show and the welcome home staff quits, that would mean reader is stuck there forever, and so..., would the reader age? like if puppeteer reader was in their mid twenties something, and reader is stuck there do they age? if so how would the puppets handle this? would the puppets try to preserve reader? or just be davastated? (and since in the last post the puppets seems to worship reader ,specificcally wally).
and also if by any chance reader escapes the 'welcome home' show how would the puppets also handles it??? and how would the staff, henry, angela, etc react to this? (also the welcome home and real life time is the same?).
(i hope this ask is not too much and overbearing *crys*)
That age related question is a good one, with a surprisingly simple (at least to me, probably because I am the one who came up with it) answer! I'll also answer your second question under the read more, too!
The reader will age as long as the show continues and the show is on air, because that's how time works in Welcome Home. Basically, everytime there is a broadcasting of the show or someone plays their copy of it at home, time will continue in the Welcome Home world. So, the reader will age. If the show is off, and no one is playing it, time will stop. The puppets have never really experienced night before, because the show was never completely cancelled, but once it is, everything is dark due to there being no studio lights to make it day. Then, once there are no reruns and no one is playing the show at home, time stops. The puppets can still move and live out their daily lives as normal, but any changes caused by aging don't exist because time isn't moving. Eddie would probably be the first to notice, because his watch's hands would stop ticking. If the reader were to get injured or sick, it might be a problem. The wound would never really heal, and since time is a big part of getting over illness, they would never truly recover. However, if they weren't sick when time stopped, they would never get sick, because it takes time for an illness to manifest itself physically. I hope that makes sense, lol. I don't think I am good at explaining it.
If the reader were to escape, a multitude of factors would impact it. If they escaped relatively early on, the people in the real world would simply be overjoyed. It is not that they would not be happy if you escaped later, it is just that later on, the show was cancelled... So if you escaped later, you most likely wouldn't have aged. So Angela and Henry and everyone else would be physically older. Who knows? Maybe Angela even passed away somehow and Henry is an adult by the time you left. Imagine how shocking and, most likely, scary it would be to find your family member back after being missing for years... Only for them to look the exact same as they did when they went missing.
The puppets either way, would be devastated. Especially Wally. Think about it. You are basically their deity. It would most likely be traumatic for them to realize that their deity has abandoned them. Wally, being the one who was the most attached from his time spent in the real world, would feel as if he is responsible for you leaving. He was meant to make you happy! He was meant to be a good puppet so that you would stay and bring joy to the neighborhood! He's failed not only you, but himself and all of his friends! He can't bear to look at them, now. He'd just lock himself away inside Home, most likely just surrounding himself with all the drawings and letters he made for you.

Okay, guys. What do you think of fionapollos recent video?
Ganna be straight to the point, I didn’t like it. This is ganna be a long post so if y’all love reading, feel free to but I’m warning y’all now. Of course, what I’m going to say are my opinions only. This is coming from a person who actually follows Fionapollos, I love listening to her art commentary vids and I hope she keeps up the good work! But for this recent video specifically? I don’t think it was good. Not to say that Fionapollos didn’t handle this well for the most part, she’s always respectful and open minded and I’m glad for that, but the structure and overall execution of the video was poorly handled.
Outside of being an inspiring animator and a help to spread awareness of how incredible indie animation is, I have no respect for Vivziepop, but that doesn’t mean I want to be biased or one sided. There were only two sections of this video I agreed with, it’s in three segments. The first segment was about Erin Frost and the evidence they had provided, and like me and some have been saying, the evidence just wasn’t strong enough to indicate a really toxic environment, especially since what Erin had provided was screenshots of her being on good terms with Jane and Sam. I never really saw an issue with Jane deciding to move the assignment to someone else since Erin was struggling, because like Fionapollos said, people in this business just want to get stuff done and if someone can’t do it, they have to take measures where someone else can.
Now maybe this wasn’t mentioned because there isn’t really evidence to support it, (it’s just a statement) but we do know that according to Ashley Nicholas, Viv had talked behind Erin’s back, calling her too mentally unstable to work. I personally believe that there was a lot of gossip provided by Viv and/or Jane and Sam regarding Erin, they’ve all shown to be shady before so I just wouldn’t be surprised if this were true, however let’s move on. Other parts of the video I agree on were Fionapollos simply just being fair. She stated that the fake document is damaging to indie companies and studios, and how her audience has the right to feel the way they feel, but outside of that there wasn’t anything specific that I agreed on outside of the Erin stuff. Her closing thoughts were nice as usual, but I’ll move on to the actual issues I had with the video.
If I had to speak in general, I feel like Fionapollos just didn’t have enough evidence, cause this video is basically a rehash of what her last one was, where she didn’t have enough evidence back then, only this time in her personal opinion, Viv is just a flawed non-perfect person who makes mistakes and needs to stop being put up on a pedestal and idolized as someone who is perfect….something I drastically disagree with but I’ll get into more of that later. When I say that she doesn’t have enough evidence, what I mean is that the stuff that she looked at is only the FROSTING of the iceberg pointing to Viv being a narcissist who mistreats her employees. Like I said there’s only three sections, and the only section where she actually looks at evidence against Spindle is Erin’s section and the document, something that was obviously fake and I’ve already shared how I dislike it when people pay more attention to the fake/troll side of things rather than the real actual evidence. I was shocked/bothered to see that KenDraws’s document isn’t even mentioned here, since the topic of this vid is how Viv/Spindle treats her employees and that document could have been a MASSIVE factor in evidence pointing towards the mistreatment being legit in some areas. Instead, the majority of this vid is very empty and lacks something that you could make a case out of. Of course she was going to go with the “I just think Vivziepop is flawed”- route, because she doesn’t have the same knowledge of evidence and drama that Viv has been through, wether that be in the past few months or past 2 years. It’s just clear that she so far has only seen a few bits and pieces of evidence but not the mass amount pointing to Viv being a problematic childish person. And I get it, she’s not like others where she constantly follows every single move Viv makes or constantly checks her status online, but if you’re going to make a video like this, you should be more informed.
The middle part of the video is the worst. It’s dedicated to talking about the fake document and AnimationCallout, (which this section of the video doesn’t do much, it’s just panting Spindle in a victimizing light) and she also dismisses the transphobic allegations by saying it was included in the false document so it makes her question if that is true as well (despite the fact that the screenshot of Viv’s discord messages had been floating around awhile before the document). The biggest part that made me roll my eyes is where she mentions Viv’s old weird art, indicating that she assumes people spite her all because of old shit she did years and years ago, which if you know me is another thing I hate the people bring up regarding Viv’s controversies. Her old art is irrelevant. This entire middle section felt irrelevant because the topic is about Spindle mistreating their employees so I don’t know why she felt the need to bring that up as well as how fake documents affect animation studios but that’s just me.
There’s also things that weren’t mentioned that bother me. Like I said KenDraws document wasn’t mentioned, but there’s more. The most obvious is that Erin ain’t the only member who left Spindle. For a video about Spindlehorse mistreating their employees, there’s no mention of anyone else, or people who claimed to be mistreated. KenDraws, Ashley Nicholas, Salem Squidder, Nicolas Jordan, Jane Walker, the list goes on. This is evidence that there’s definitely more going than just “Viv is flawed”. You can only use that excuse so long, as more and more people who were close or her or worked on her stuff left.
I also feel like it’s a glaring issue that Spindlehorse/Viv never acknowledge their mistakes or even confront their controversies. Name one time Spindle came out and made an official statement on the allegations or drama. Zero. They always let the fire burn, hide behind the fanbase, and wait for the waters to cool before moving on and pretending nothing ever happened, only speaking up if someone dare call Viv problematic. They silence any ex member and never take accountability, and it’s something the public has yet to acknowledge, no one ever acknowledges this shit and I’m so tired of it. This is why I never agree with anyone who tries to paint them in a victimizing light filled with people who are “just trying to get by” when there’s no evidence that leaves me to believe that’s true, especially when they’re too cowardly to even confront something or make a fucking statement. Doesn’t help that they always ignore allegations against Viv or just shut the other side down by simply saying “she was nice to me end of story”. How are we supposed to believe that these people are genuine who don’t want to hurt anyone if they aren’t saying anything? How are we supposed to believe Viv is just an imperfect person if she NEVER acknowledges her faults and keeps making the same mistakes over and over again?
I truly believe that Fionapollos had good intentions, but I’m really tired of folks just dismissing Viv or the shady stuff that’s been going on at spindle with just “they’re imperfect stop putting them up on a pedestal”. Like I said there’s plenty of evidence pointing to the people at Spindle lacking self awareness and Viv being an abuser who blacklists people and talks behind other’s backs, so this vid just didn’t do any justice. She just doesn’t know the half of it. Sorry.

mental heath stuff (not bad just candid)
dunno if i'll regret sharing this just yet, maybe i should have sat on it a little more until i knew exactly if i should share and how much, but parts of me really insist, and so i guess we're going for it
and i word that way because
months of exhausting processing has led me to conclude that I’m a system, so I’m still in the undertaking of cataloging an awful lot of shit into one rolodex. the kicker is i probably have been one for at least 20 years, but everyone got along so well and so cooperatively, like the most well harmonized combining mecha, that is oblivious to the fact it even is one. nobody even needed nametags in here.
…mostly. warning signs were there, it's just some of the issues that come from this sort of thing that did leak through, were hiding under other conditions that already cause similar complications. if you're familiar with the messier mental illnesses and all the ways they start to functionally melt at the edges and trade symptoms in odd places and our understanding of it all is still so half-formed, you'll probably get what i mean. hopefully people following me understand none of this crap works like it tends to get depicted in media
i'm schizophrenic and my mind is a fucking enigma anyway
anyway
then one "new" alter woke up last november in response to an acute straw breaking camel's back moment of abuse at home after enduring way too much for way too long, but the alter is not actually new, is technically one of the oldest, but she's been 'asleep' for like a decade and her point of origin is even older than that obviously this one was SO different and possessed SUCH a different headspace and set of tastes and desired behaviors, and subsequently threw equilibrium off so badly, all the components of the mecha suddenly realized they were components bc now the situation kind of required acknowledging that fact to proceed to even get starting fixing shit.
its like
"who is this weird one who broke everything" "no clue, you guys got any ideas?" "why would we have any ideas you don't, we're all us" "yeah like what do you even mean by You Guys?" "i think they're joking, like, because we're all copies of the same person, like the spongebob bit with the fine dining, they're asking themself rhetorically because it's funny…….. …….we are all the same person right. this is a metaphor. like the spongebob bit…… right….." "why are we not all immediately agreeing" "because before we could all reflexively say yes we realized we all had different definitions of The Same Person we are"
this is a gross oversimplification of course
this was a lot to process for pretty much all parts of me save one (incidentally, not the new one, the new one isn't shocked, but is a crybaby, so they didn't take Existing (Again) (2. Electric Boogaloo) very well. they do not take the prospect of 'going back to sleep' veryy either, though. so we're having to slightly redesign the mecha)
mostly through the worst of it, but among other problems we're still working to repair, this sleeper code alter caused a catastrophic system failure in the ventilation and even though everyone is mostly calmed down now, they can still smell everyone else's scented candles in their personal quarters, which is annoying when some of them have VERY different tastes in scents)
annoying, but not ruinous. fixing the AC is low priority compared to other things
like the pneumonic tube that used to let everyone hot potato information and memories from any time they were the one obliviously in the cockpit, we had a pretty damn good one, it was working so well we didn't know why we were even using it, and assumed its regular but manageable failings were just, natural, or because of some other factor affecting the tubes themselves or potato availability, and not considering most people do not have these potato tubes at all
yes i will probably make some kind of comic to conceptualize and visually externalize this i struggle to feel understood without doodles
also, while typing this post, specifically, tumblr did a fucky wucky, and when i realized i'd made an entire other post in the tags, i went to try to copy/paste them into the post but the nature of the fucky wucky prevented this. i'm really not in the mood to retype all that so it's just a screenshot now

Hi there! I came across your post dissecting Omocat's Motivational Speech. I decided to read it with a friend of mine and holy crap-HOW did ANYONE read that and NOT see this person as a horrible jerkhole?! Seriously, we saw WAY more red flags in this writing BESIDES the ones you pointed out?! I usually don't say anything, but I couldn't keep quiet with what was put here:
"the stress will be there. you can overcome it but it will not go away"
Why are they making stress as something that can never leave after encountering something that causes it??? It CAN go away! One simply just TAKE A BREAK FROM IT, or STOP DOING WHAT'S STRESSING THEM OUT! There's no reason to make stress out as this force that permanently looms over a person after introduction. If that's the case, more human beings would be dying from that (it's one of the aiding factors to a lot of serious health problems and a lethal one on its own)!
"The next thing is to know you are not alone on this. We have a team of, I don't now, 10 ppl here everyday working. I can vouch that you are all, for the most part, nice people."
For the MOST part??? So Omocat doesn't truly believe that the people slaving away in making their game, and are considered as FRIENDS by them, are nice people??? Guess that makes sense considering how Omocat treated them behind the scenes. Why show kindness to people if one doesn't believe that they deserve it, right?
"There are some people who have more work than others, so I ask for those who have a bit less on their shoulders to remain courteous. It's distracting and feels really bad to hear laughter or people enjoying themselves when you have so much wor to do."
This MAY sound reasonable at first glance, but my friend immediately point out that this is manipulative language to shame and guilt trip employees into not complaining about mistreatment or taking much needed breaks from working. Coporate companies LOVE to use this kind of talk to keep employees in line by playing on their sympathy to help their fellow man, and the fear of being singled out and hated by everyone in the workforce.
"Thinking of all the choices I made down the line could have led to a different possible worse situation. This kind of thinking needs a certain level of humility"
Oh really? Cause Melonkid DID suffer the worse situation from not only not being paid royalties, was mistreated while working on this game, but is being ganged up by former coworkers AND most fans of the game! On top of being lied on to be painted as mentally unstable! So uh...way to make this line moot, Omocat.
"Another thing that helps is the way I view deadlines. Deadlines are deadlines. They are immovable. They are above me, like higher beings."
THIS shocked us. Not only is it unprofessional to say such a thing to employees, but...WHY??? I'm not joking when my friend asked if Omocat's studio is stationed outside of America, because to portray deadlines as a deity when this is a LITERAL talk to a literal dev team? Yeah, that's cult talk.
"Think of deadlines as a demon you have to continually give nourishment and sacrifice to or else it will destroy our game/ And everytime you work on the game, finish something. you're saying fuck you to that demon"
Okay, these are no longer red flags anymore, these lines are just Omocat conditioning employees with cultist mentality to have control over them as they work on the game. Moving the deadline is impossible because it's a being higher than our existence, so stop asking to have it moved so you can rest. Don't you dare take anymore breaks than the limited amount I am allowing YOU to have, or else the "demon" destroys all our hard work and you will be to blame for it. That's what these lines are actually saying. In what way is this suppose to be motivating? In what way is this NOT evoking an ominous sense of danger from this person?
"It actually means so much to me that I have to pull back on a lot of emothons since I have a natural tendency to take everything to do with this game really personally."
Yet that's exactly what Omocat did with the Melonkid situation. Instead of handling the whole thing professionally, like a person who owns a business is SUPPOSE to do, they instead acted like this employee had ruined their life with handling financial affairs over royalties. Goodness, out of the many speeches I had read online out of controversies, THIS one was the most blatant in the person's true colors. The fact that none of the fans see this is beyond disturbing, it just shows the growing trend of victim blaming that is putting actual victims in danger. Yet, allow horrible people to take advantage of the narrative as long as they play things right.
holy shit I absolutely did NOT catch that "for the most part" part. that's peak passive-aggressiveness
Given that she apparently also mistreated her ex-manager (who was a friend of hers as well), I'm not surprised that this is the way she seems to treat people she considers "friends". It's still immensely disgusting, sure, but it's not all that surprising.
Personally, I wouldn't go as far as to claim that her equating deadlines with a demon is "cult talk", but yeah, I can't possibly see how such rhetoric is supposed to be even remotely motivational. "nourishment and sacrifice" Jesse what the fuck are you talking about
Also... how is giving the "demon" nourishment saying "fuck you" to it?what a thoughtful metaphor
my joke theory that the devs exhausted the Kickstarter money on huge amounts of weed is seeming more and more plausible by the day huh
The fact that none of the fans see this is beyond disturbing
As I've mentioned before, this kind of controversy would've completely erased any other developer off the face of the Internet by now. But since Omocat is responsible for making a game specifically tailored to appeal to the sensibilities of Tumblr/Twitter users, she's pretty much inviolable :)

Run BTS Mini field day - Part 2
Cr./to the creators of media used in this post.
Have a feeling this is going to be a long one too, perhaps a two parter.
What can I say?
The very last Run BTS episode for the foreseeable future. 😭 😭
And what a doozy it was.
If part 1 had us rofl, this one had us rolling in soap on the floor laughing. It was hysterical.
In a nut shell, we had JM farting (not really but yeah), Jin never having babies (his poor cahoonas),  and lots of slapstick everyone falling all over the place on a soapy surface.
Did I hear someone say slapping?
We had some of that too. Butt slapping, that is. Not to mention some soap wrestling and a happy happy hug.
Tumblr media
So, where to begin?
Perhaps at the beginning? Yep, good advice. I guess I'll start at the beginning, begin at the start.
The first task was balancing the balls, you know, so they don't fall, while walking up the stairs, and this being timed. The one to reach the top, lift his arms and have as many balls still being balanced in the least time was the victor.
Should I give you a spoiler here? Nah, you go watch. Not gonna tell you who won this round. Will give you a hint though, can't help myself... on the one hand it's a little surprising, on the other hand, given last episode, not so much, lol.
Anyways, we had plenty of laughs in this round. RM was super funny. We had the guys teasing Suga again with the "he's confident cause he's done some climbing...Scooba diving....parkour...."
Tumblr media
But JM folks, JM took the cake. Well, of course with help from his dear friend, you know, the one that spills the tea all of the damn time...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The build up we got for JM, all for it to fall into pieces in seconds. 🤣🤣
Tumblr media
And all because of one little innocent comment...
Tumblr media
Yeah, I kind of don't want to say this, but heck, I can't help myself, it's a must... from there things turn to shit. 🤣 🤣
Tumblr media
Suga: "TMI", RM: "don't talk about farting",
Tumblr media
And JK:
Tumblr media
And if by any chance you think that would be the end of the farting talk, then nah-ah. The one that said not to talk about farting had this to say:
Tumblr media
And again:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like I said, JM took the cake...
Tumblr media
Yes, that's JK you see there, on his knees laughing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then it's Jhope's turn, and JM is dreaming of revenge. Hobi knows it's coming, lol.
Tumblr media
Who you looking at JK?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again with the farting...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hobi makes it to the top, saying he's doing it for JM, all for:
Tumblr media
RM tries again. Nope. Definitley not the challenge for him.
Last game for the mini filed day was slippery soccer. And you thought that the first game was funny, well, this one will have you on the floor.
They had to split into 2 teams of 3 and 4.
And again...now you see him here:
Tumblr media
And next, after they are told they need to split into 2 teams, he's here:
Tumblr media
I wonder what team JK thought he'd be in...
Tumblr media
Sorry JK, not this time.
And it was all your boyfie's idea.
Tumblr media
The shock. The betrayal.
Tumblr media
JM was after the amusement factor. I guess after losing every single game so far he thought the heck with it all, let's make this funny.
Tumblr media
So here's where the hectic comes in. It was crazy. It was fun. It was super funny. And we got lot's of Jikookery, which I will bring to you in... part 2 of this post of course.
To be continued...

(mcu!)Peter's love for Spider-Man
I saw a few reddit comments that frankly really bothered me, so I just wanted to ramble about how Peter being somewhat bothered by having to be Spider-Man in ffh and nwh (ffh esp) is more than insanely justified. He will never hate being Spider-Man, infact i think his trauma likely will spur him on to do more and more, either as an escape or a chance to help people the way he hadn't been helped, either way I believe post nwh Peter definitely still finds his joy in being Spider-Man, it'd be literally impossible to just up and make him stop. This part is more of a personal hc before I get into the rest of the post, but I think if he desired to give Spider-Man up after everything, he would have chosen to make the world forget that instead, from what I understand it would have still relieved his troubles, as nobody knows who Spider-Man is, so why would they know Peter?
Far From Home. People take the way Peter acts during the film as him no longer liking being Spider-Man, and it frankly feels very.. ignorant of like literally everything Peter has gone through, honestly. ffh is post endgame, which good fucking god - that is the most trauma inducing experience any possible 15 (16?) year old teen could endure, now im talking both infinity war and endgame, because both are just as bad. In infinity war, he obviously fights alot, not as much as he does in the second film, but it's still very rough, and well he sorta dies, which I'm sure takes a rather extreme toll on him as he could likely feel absolutely everything happening, because of his healing factor, and spidey sense, it's just a very very scary experience, hell I wouldn't be shocked if Peter was drop dead terrified everytime he felt his spidey sense, (he isn't, but I wouldn't put it past being very possible).
And, in endgame he had to hold the gauntlet for an extended period of time from an insane amount of creatures, he literally was holding the future of the entire world in his hands, I would imagine that'd be actually very, very scary. He's consistently put in unfair positions and made to just 'deal' with it, I'm sure he expected some of this but I cant firmly believe he thought he'd end up in such a crazy situation. Now, most obviously the very big part of endgame - Tony Stark fucking died dude!?!?! Let the kid have some time to grieve... not that he ended up getting any, he's literally already lost his parents, (possible uncle), and now his pseudo father, and shit does he lose more right after in such a tiny timespan.
Point is, yeah the fact he want's a goddamn break is not the most insane thing that's happened, god forbid a thoroughly traumatized teenager wants a break without needing to have the burdens of the world (literally) on him again. It just gets to me each time there are such crazy expectations for him, as if any a bunch other characters or people wouldn't literally crumble into pieces if they experienced the amount of stress a kid like Peter is holding constantly. We also get an actual insight on an exact thing I mentioned, where he has a talk with Mysterio where he just wanted to be a normal kid for at least a few seconds, and god is he owed all of that and more. He never got a break, he never got a real chance to comprehend everything that went around him, he got pulled into a fucking other world crisis and yeah - sue him for being exhausted, and not motivated to attempt that all again.
No Way Home. Okay, to start this off - What the fuck? I don't know how obvious it has to be, but the fact Peter is not ecstatic to be Spider-Man after not only having his "identity revealed, but (all I'm about to say is from ffh, still going to get into nwh in a second) almost being killed multiple times, been manipulated by another adult in his life, had his trauma and losses smeared all across his face, faced with taking down an entire insanely large army of killer - explosive - drones, also faced with the fear of accidentally being the cause for a massive incident", is a VERY fair reason, I genuinely think if he stopped being Spider-Man right then and there, everybody he knew would probably support him, because god the things he went through is mind boggling, I don't know how to capture the amount of damage that must have done to Peter, not even just mentally but like quite literal brain damage, he's a kid - no world this severe amount of trauma is taken any forms of lightly. (Which is sorta shown, when Happy goes to pick up Peter on the flower field, and Peter being afraid of Happy maybe not being real)
I wish people gave Peter more credit than they think he deserves, also god Peter fights to be Spider-Man still all throughout nwh, he does his 'duty' by saving all the villains (whilst experiencing the most heinous levels of grief, post May's death), and does everything he can to save the people of their possible destruction, etc. One could fight for the fact Peter.. sorta did cause all of that, even if indirectly - but honestly, I genuinely cannot imagine a different outcome. "What if he went to the lady first, like Strange suggested" It definitely would have not worked, she literally only agreed because he saved her from a being that wouldn't exist had it not been for the earlier mess up, I literally cannot imagine how he would have been able to get any of fixed or back to a state of tolerable at the very least. Peter deserves (and wants) to not live his life as horrible as expected it'd be, he'd never get to any form of normal again, everything he loved was on the line, and half of the world hated him, (alot, wanted him dead or -behind bars).
Peter Parker is just a kid, that is the first and foremost the most important aspect to his character, because the way everything is affected is so so different its ridiculous, the way he will function as a whole when older is very starkly different had this happened to somebody around the age as most of the avengers, all because his brain is just simply not capable of handling such amount's of trauma, or stress. And the way he functions now is so important too, because he's a kid, n' hell will it be obvious how childish he can think or act.
Lastly, another thing I simply hate that people do is when they find the idea of Peter having trauma unrealistic. I'm very much thinking too hard about his character probably, but he is a character with such complex details, and his life is splayed out infront of us through the films, giving us every event that could likely be a cause of something to happen one day, or something that is a cause of an action he already did. I hate that people think just because he's a movie character he's unable to be an actual person in his world, like how everything is simply black and white when it comes to characterization.
Side Note, - this totally turned into just plain out angry rambling, as I've been just annoyed as a whole ever since I started writing this all. so mind anything I say that may be incorrect, I'm defensive about Spider-Man at 8am in the morning and I haven't slept yet, so typos will be made, and some sentences will probably seem confusing.
(next day now and I think i fixed everything(??), I had decided to post this tomorrow/now when I was more comprehensible)

As an Octavian enthusiast and his self-proclaimed husband 💅🏼 ✨I’m not letting go of the possibility that Octavian could be in Tsats, unless stated otherwise when the books comes out.
So I am going to state a few ways of how he’d be introduced or play a part in the story:
If he plays a rather less significant role, He could have a small cameo in the Fields of Asphodel. While Nico and Will are passing, maybe one of them notices the familiar looking spirit, and on further inspection recognise it to be Octavian’s.
Or a cameo in either of their dreams, since apparently dreams in Tartarus are supposed to reflect your inner fears. Maybe one of them has a dream about Octavian’s death. And we get a monologue about him by either one of the boys. I think since Nico already described his thoughts in his POV in BoO, then this time it could be Will’s thoughts on the incident. Cuz in BoO he didn’t really say much about it and it seemed like he didn’t exactly want Octavian to die.
Now if he is indeed significant. I think he’d be a mini boss, clearly for shock factor. I don’t quite know where exactly this scenario will fit but it could be either right before they find Bob, or after. So this is what happens.
So basically what he does is that he stalks them for a good amount of time throughout the story, causing small accidents of sorts. But actually this isn’t there in the story and it’s all happening offscreen. So we won’t know until the very end. Tho there’d be mentions of an “eerie feeling” following the boys.
So somewhere around the middle-ish? They find Bob, then there’s a boss fight and a dramatic reveal. Octavian has led many monsters to where Nico and Will are. He proceeds and gives a big speech about how he was betrayed. And something along the lines of “You let me die” to make both of them feel guilt (his usual gist of manipulation). Both in a sense do, but Will is more affected. This time he really wants to save him no matter what since he didn’t get the chance in BoO. There’s a whole segment about this in Will’s POV about his thoughts during the Onager scene.
Another reveal, Octavian never truly had a trial, and is turning into a Mania. the only reason he could cross over was that he managed to bribe Charon (Man does not get paid enough) with all the gold jewellery he was wearing. But that was to no avail since he didn’t have a trial he couldn’t enter into Elysium, So he wandered around the underworld hiding, until he slowly started to lose his sanity. And when he saw Will and Nico, he followed them around until they found Bob and cue the boss fight.
(In case Nico and Will went straight to Tartarus through the Trog’s tunnel. Let’s believe At some Octavian fell into Tartarus on accident, became a mania over time, saw the two of them enter once day, followed them around and cue boss fight)
There’s either the good ending or the bad.
Bad ending: They defeat Octavian, Nico banishes Octavian into eternal damnation which parallels Bryce Lawrence’s death scene. And they go about their quest.
Good ending: They defeat Octavian, Will gets his chance to save him, he knocks some sense into Tav’s head before he can fully transform into a spirit of pure insanity. Nico banishes him to the overworld and he is now a Lar. But he got transported to CHB instead of CJ and he’s now stuck there and doesn’t know how to get home.
Now I leave this here to put on my clown makeup 👍🏼

book emoji! (sorry i'm on desktop) (also sorry for stalking your inbox today haha hope you're well, have a lovely weekend! <3)
Technically a WIP since I have about 3.5K words written about it already, but it's been sitting there for... a while now. This is another banger from the Stede Bonnet Defense Squad late night collective storytelling files, so special thanks to @nicnacsnonsense and @poetic----nonsense for bouncing around ideas on this one with me. I'm just including my bits, though I should point out nicnac was the one to first suggest Ed & CJ as fuck buddies and Papa Bonnet's cost-benefit analysis of ransoming Stede factoring in the arrangements he's been brokering with Mary's parents behind Stede's back.
AU where Young Adult Ed meets Young Adult Stede (when Stede is down daydreaming at the docks) and decides to take him hostage and convince Hornigold to hold him for ransom. Ed is in charge of guarding the prisoner while Hornigold starts the process of negotiating. Stede is chatty in the brig. Wants to know all about the kinds of knots that have been used to tie him up, and how long Ed has been at sea and how he got his start and just all sorts of things. Ed is low-key annoyed to have been given this duty and kind of gruff about it, but kind of won over eventually by Stede's enthusiasm and also is shocked that Stede kind of doesn't WANT to go back to his cushy life. And by the way he gets all quiet and sad when Ed says that Hornigold's negotiating with his dad, because he's pretty sure his father would rather start from scratch trying to produce a new heir than bother trying to get Stede back.
And just when Ed and Stede are really starting to bond, CJ shows up, and Stede is like ugh. It's hate at first sight for the two of them, sniping and bickering and abuse and the hey-hey.
Ed & CJ are fuck buddies, and, CJ, consumate reader-of-rooms can see that Stede likes Ed, and worse, that Ed likes Stede. And that in spite of his best (worst) efforst, the two of them keep growing closer and closer.
Stede is asleep at first when CJ comes to seduce Ed. Part of CJ's wheedling is because Ed tries to say they can't "because of the prisoner" and CJ says that he's gonna have to learn about the birds and the bees soon anyway if he's gonna get married (because he knows that's a sore spot for Ed, who is aware of the negotiations enough to know that a big motivator for Papa Bonnet is that he's already started brokering Stede's arranged marriage). (CJ's extra loud and obnoxious about going to town on Ed, too, so Stede can't even block it out, even closing his eyes and covering his ears.) That's the first Stede hears about anything to do with him and marriage. Stede doesn't find out it's a done deal until Ed jealously brings up Mary when Stede is trying to talk to him about how he deserves better than CJ. And Stede is not only crushed that this is the only reason his father is bothering to negotiate for him, he also thinks Ed was purposely hiding it from him and that he and CJ have been laughing at him behind his back.
Eventually negotiations wrap and Stede is supposed to go back to his father. And Stede is trying to be all stoic and dutiful, but Ed hears him crying (and berating himself for crying) when he thinks that Ed is asleep. And Ed is rowing him back, and is all "what if I didn't row you back? What if I just keep rowing? What if we run away?"
And Stede wants to, more than anything, but CJ snuck down one time when Ed was relieved of duty, and "casually" mentioned how Ed is already on thin ice with Hornigold (he's not. he's actively being groomed to take captaincy of the next ship they capture), and Hornigold just needs the slightest provocation to kill Ed in some very exciting and creatively awful ways. And he doesn't want to be the cause of bringing Hornigold's wrath down on Ed's head. So he says no.
There's an exciting third act, but I'm not the one who came up with it, so I'll just leave it there.
