Kai from Ninjago is not stuck in the nether space. He has never been at nether space and he should never be at nether space. Nothing against the nether space, but he has been at ninjago for 10+ years. We all grew up with Kai and why would we let them relocate him for absolutely zero reason? The new writer should just create a new character that is at the nether space, not rewrite one of the best Lego characters in history. Sign this petition if you think Kai should stay away from the nether space. Nya's design for my Scorched Au. Also this is my first time drawing Nya with her short hair so that's neat!

Nya's pretty important in this au. With Kai off doing his own thing, Nya ends up training to be a ninja/master of water WAY before she does so in canon since Wu thinks her abilities will be very useful. Which makes sense since you know, Kai is the master of fire. Having a master of water to deal with him would be pretty useful.

Although most of the time when fighting, Nya is trying her best to reason with Kai since she thinks if anyone can talk him down it's her. And while it's true that Nya's really the only one left that Kai cares about, he also sees the fact that Wu started training Nya as a way of replacing him which does not help his mindset at all.

Overall, it's complicated between these two. Obviously Nya doesn't like seeing all these places getting burnt down in Kai's path, but she also doesn't want to lose her brother. Meanwhile Kai doesn't want to hurt his sister, but he also wants to prove that he's good enough to be the Green Ninja so badly that he will burn down anything and anyone standing in his way.

I swear to god when I go onto the ninjago fandom on instagram especially on instagram reels I keep seeing those ‘who should have been the green ninja?’ Videos and the 2 options are always Kai and Lloyd. And the amount of people in the comments saying things like ‘it should have been Kai!’, “Lloyd doesn’t deserve to be the green ninja”, “Kai should be the green ninja cus he’s the main character’ and yaddy yada. Like guys it’s been what 13 years and you’re still complaining about this?

Also clearly these people didn’t understand Kai’s character, if he became the green ninja then he wouldn’t have developed as a character. A large part of his character development was learning that he didn’t need some sort of special prophecy or whatnot for him to be important or smth. But I guess the people on instagram reels skipped that whole part of the show and went on to say ‘Boo hoo Kai isn’t the green ninja’.

Kai (and only Kai) thinks he has so much drip. In reality he only looks marginally stupid so I think everyone should humor him. But if nothing else he should definitely get to have some douchey tattoos, as a treat.
