True as it may be Yuu would run the risk of being put in danger with being with certain twst boys...the ones that would be the most in danger are the peeps trying to hurt their partner or friend.
....and some of the boys are less forgiving than others.
....and some of the boys are less forgiving than others.
(referencing this shrimp annon post)
The two who immediately come to mind for me when I saw this ask were Vil and Malleus. I know I said that being with Vil wouldn't be as much of a danger and I stand by that but... look he is stupid intense and very haughty when he feels vindicated about something, if someone threatened his partner they'd get stomped to death and wouldn't even have time to enjoy it.
Malleus is a tricky one since we don't exactly know how the government of his kingdom functions, but we do know a bit about how his powers do and he's damn near unstoppable. If something happened to Yuu it wouldn't be pretty for the people plotting against him. If he wasn't being threatened with something that hit a bit too close to his childhood traumas he might find the whole thing amusing. But he can't, not with how real the threat of losing you could be. He is going to take this most seriously.

Hey here's an angle on the Jiang family dynamic and its impact on Wei Wuxian that I haven't seen discussed:
Wei Wuxian grew up seeing Jiang Yanli routinely having her agency cut off and denied in both large (betrothal) and small ways. That were largely tied up in her gender, sure, but this was also a family containing Yu Ziyuan. A daughter in this household had every chance of having her gender treated as of secondary importance.
She just had to earn it.
The way Jiang Yanli was hemmed in and her potential as an independent actor dismissed was at least as strongly correlated with her failure to be a powerful sword cultivator.
So Wei Wuxian's total refusal to let anyone know that he'd lost access to his cultivation and his violent reactivity against being diminished or condescended to during his Sunshot-to-death period, when before he was pretty immune to being looked down on, could have a lot to do with having been presented with this clearly labeled diagram of how your personhood gets stripped away when you are, by the standards of your society, disabled.

cannot believe that 'yelling at your boss when he repeatedly almost gets you and your crew killed and lies to manipulate you into staying when you try to leave, is not emotional abuse, actually' and 'there is such a thing as a mutually toxic and unhealthy relationship where both parties are incredibly shitty to each other - and this is obviously where Ed and Izzy stand until S2, when it becomes blatantly abusive' is a controversial take. But as this is Abuse Apologism And Ableism, The FandomTM, I really should not be surprised
Just.
I was deep in physically and mentally abusive relationships in my teens/twenties - including relationships that started out with mutual toxicity and bad decisions on all sides, but which became outright physical & mental & other sorts of abuse with myself as the victim. I know my shit.
I suppose I can see where 'Izzy emotionally abused Ed' comes from IF people give literally the most uncharitable interpretation to Every Single Scene, and assume Izzy shouts angrily at Ed and negs him all the time rather than this being how he acts when he's incredibly stressed by circumstance caused directly by Ed and at the end of his fucking rope? Which, as we see in S2... Is not the case.
It's not freaking emotional abuse when you're shouting at your boss who keeps almost getting you and your crew killed. Even if this is NOT a kind or productive way to help Ed deal with his mental health, considering that Ed's actions have consequences that he repeatedly and blithely ignores, it's pretty fucking justified!
It's not freaking emotional abuse if your boss OPENLY LOVES MAIMING PEOPLE AND IS MORE THAN HAPPY TO BURN THEM ALIVE and you encourage that, while upholding his right to not kill with his own hands. Even if he has private breakdowns after the fact because he suffers from black-and-white thinking, dissociates himself from any wrongdoing, and is afraid of his potential to become 'a monster'.
Are these choices helpful? No. Are they kind? No. Is Izzy demonstrating Model Citizen Behaviour? Definitely not.
But it's sure as hell not emotional abuse. And it doesn't justify the physical and emotional abuse Ed puts Izzy through in S2.
Nothing you say can 'make' him hit you. If he chooses to hit you (or... choke you out then repeatedly mutilate you and pressure you to commit suicide and makes you constantly live in fear for your life and the lives of people you care about) he makes that decision himself. Yes, even if you shouted at him first. Yes, even if you were arguing. Yes, even if you were in the wrong in that argument. Yes, even if he has a Tragic BackstoryTM and mental health issues. This shit shouldn't be controversial.
Signed: one of those actual abuse survivors.
#izzy hands#israel hands#the izcourse#ofmd izzy#our flag means death#ofmd#to be clear: I think Izzy was an absolute shitbag in S1!#but. as someone who WAS emotionally AND physically abused just. Idk. The amount of straws people are grasping at#that's... not what emotional abuse looks like. holy shit.#if they were trying to depict that then they frankly did a really bad job lol#I think he was jealous and also worried for himself and HIS crew (who weren't the Revenge crew at that point in time)#I think he egged Ed on. But as we see REPEATED THROUGHOUT THE SHOW#ED DOES ENJOY VIOLENCE#HE LOVES A GOOD MAIM#HE BURNS PEOPLE ALIVE#THEN DISSOCIATES - that's what makes his character so fascinating and relatable to me! but he absolutely kills people#he just can't handle the reality of that or what it says about him#Izzy didn't 'make' him do jack shit. S1 is heavily dedicated to showing just how much Izzy never can get Ed to do what he wants#'Ed was afraid of him'?? wtf where do you even GET that from#if anything Ed is afraid of HIMSELF in that final scene. And he has good reason to be!#That self-loathing and fear of the self is INTEGRAL to him! See: when he's ACTUALLY scared of the fucking kraken#Anyway stop making both Ed and Izzy fundamentally boring by making one wholly good and one wholly bad lol#Izzy did bad shit. He got a good redemption arc and died. a lot of his fans are tired of that arc.#Ed did bad shit. He didn't get a good redemption arc and a lot of his fans are pissed about it.

man i'm on a roll tonight
DP x DC idea:
Bruce Wayne has somehow managed to become the unofficial guardian of at least two more kids. Maybe three. He's not sure yet. Various members of the Batfamily have made new friends recently and have been having them hang out at Wayne manor for extensive periods of time. Now only if he could actually meet the rascals face-to-face, maybe he could adopt them for real.
or
Danny, Elle, and Jazz have all made friends with different Wayne kids at different times from different places. Damian met Elle at school, Danny met Tim while working at a coffee shop, and Jazz met Cass outside the local theater. All three visit the manor separately, and no one communicates that they've befriended people from the same family. Eventually, however, their hangout sessions accidentally overlap and the Waynes have to deal with the excitement of three Fentons under a single roof.
Let's just say there's a reason the three of them live separately.

Prompt 143
You know what I think would be hilarious. The batfamily (or even all of Gotham but it’s dismissed as just another Gotham tale by Outsiders) being able to turn into cats. Not big cats either but like, housecats. And none of their teams know.
They think that the cats must be their local bat’s, because the collars have their symbols on them. And honestly how else would this giant fluffball get onto the Watchtower? Now of course they would have told the teams all eventually, but well, it’s become a competition now. How long can they keep this under wraps, and which of them will win in keeping it hidden.

...So Crocodile could beat Akainu
Good to know
Sidenote but that did make me realize how when we see the Impel Down prisoners in Level 4, Oda does semi-consistently draw everyone sweating their asses off, which makes sense, since they're in the Inferno Hell. It is focken hot in there.
But then there's Crocodile and dude never breaks a sweat
Tumblr media
Like to be fair there are a few characters who don't seem to be bothered by the heat of Level 4 either (Iva-chan, Sadi-chan etc)
But when you considder the sheer amount of fucking layers this man is wearing, like. You know what. Crocodile being completely heat-resistant up to 1700 Celcius makes perfect sense to me, I'll add that to my worldview, it's canon to me now.

My issue with Thor not ‘realizing’ why Loki was acting off in Avengers 1 isn’t that Thor didn’t recognise Loki was acting unlike himself—Thor did note that—or that Thor didn’t figure out what was wrong—he did try asking—it’s more along the lines of Thor giving up, and that he accepted Loki was bad now within two days while knowing something was off when Thor himself behaved just as bad for much longer before without any specific compromising event.
#Thor was happy go kill for so long and Loki waited for Thor to get better and then Thor KNOWS something is up#and he still accepts Loki is evil now and never questions or visits Loki in prison again#he moped around about it because of duty and depression but that he had such little faith in Loki#like either his little brother really did go mad out of jealousy and rage AND is permanently like that with no resolution between them#it’s ridiculous#I like the Thor in my head who never believed Loki had actually gone mad and went after the infinity stones bc he suspected#the one that would not only trust Loki to get them off Asgard in TDW but knew Loki had the throne after and let it be that way#bc he knows his brother and wouldn’t stop believing Loki can ‘get better’ even if he’d truly gone mad#like I get that Thor in Avengers 1 would have been conflicted and could’ve taken everything at face value#Loki was DEAD and now he’s not of course Thor isn’t going to be thinking straight#it’s easy to look at Loki and assume he spent a year plotting revenge after faking his death#but Thor had time after to cool down and only gave Loki a chance in TDW when there was no other option#like did he genuinely think Loki will try to kill him#is Thor scared of Loki now or what#Thor’s spending so much time thinking of what he’s lost that he develops depression but doesn’t ever voice or support the idea that maybe#Loki was forced to do the invasion#AFTER he asks ‘who controls the would-be king’ like come on Thor just ask a follow-up question#Thor autistic king distracted by ‘YOUR father’ discourse fr#T-T#I simply don’t think Thor would have given up on Loki even if Loki stabbed him sorry#it wouldn’t even be bc he’s naive it’d be because he knows and loves his brother#and he’d keep hoping for a change of heart#he wouldn’t ditch the issue unless it was to go under the radar and that’s never explicitly implied#unfortunately#:(

that scene in s10 where york calls wash the worst fighter and gets instant karma for it via getting punched by the sleeveless innie is easily 100 times funnier by imagining that wash (as the petty grudge holder he is) knew the sleeveless innie was there, but he chose to not say anything about it to york

my favourite thing to do at any given time is reading chuck norris jokes, but inserting obiwan kenobi every time
Obi-Wan Kenobi plays russian roulette with a fully loaded gun and still wins
Obi-wan Kenobi doesn't turn the light on. He turns the dark off
In the Beginning there was nothing ... then Obi-wan Kenobi roundhouse kicked nothing and told it to get a job
If you ask Obi-wan Kenobi what time it is, he always says, 'Two seconds till.' After you ask, 'Two seconds to what?' he roundhouse kicks you in the face
Obi-wan Kenobi does not own a stove, oven or microwave, because revenge is a dish best served cold
Obi-wan Kenobi does not sleep. He waits
There is no chin behind Obi-wan Kenobi's beard. There is only another fist
Obi-wan Kenobi does not use spell check. If he happens to misspell a word, Oxford will change the spelling.
Once a cobra bit Obi-wan Kenobi's leg. After five days of excruciating pain, the cobra died
Death once had a near-Obi-wan Kenobi experience
The only time Obi-wan Kenobi was ever wrong was when he thought he had made a mistake
and my personal favourite
Obi-wan Kenobi destroyed the periodic table, because Obi-wan Kenobi only recognizes the element of surprise

Interesting commentary about how most people will identify with victims/victimhood while feeling discomfort when others identify with perpetrators, especially given the fact we live in societies (at least the one I’m in and the one that book was written in) that habitually materially revile victims on every level while championing and supporting perpetrators of certain violence.

I've been having archenemesis brain riot this past few days and I just had an hilarious hc.
I was thinking... What was Izana's reaction when Mucho decided to bring Sanzu? Because let's be honest, Izana is not someone who would trust easily (specially a stranger). And Sanzu got a ticket for Izana's inner circle! So he would has his doubts, right? (Completly justified, tbh) And who was Izana's common sense? Kakucho, obviously!
So picture this, the s62 just met Sanzu for the first time. And this conversation happens:
Izana: I don't like him. Why Mucho had to bring him here?
Kakucho: Izana, the poor boy didn't do anything. He almost didn't even talked.
Izana: Yeah, that's weird. He gives me the creeps wearing that damn mask all the time...
Kakucho: He doesn't like showing his scars, are you really judging him for that?
Izana: ...
Kakucho: Yes?
Izana: Why are you on his side? You're my servant, mine!
Kakucho: (sighing with infinite patience) I'm not on his side Izana, I don't even know him. But I trust Mucho and Mucho trusts Sanzu. That's enough for me.
Izana: Fine. But I still don't trust him.
Kakucho: Fine.
A few doritos later...
Tumblr media
I hated you since the moment I met you.
Tumblr media
Same, it was hate at first sight.
Tumblr media
(Look at them, so happy that anyone is denying them the right to kill each other! 🤣)
Obviously, the archnemesis brain riot was shared with @just-sp-in-inginthevoid (and grew a lot bigger thanks to that, best way of coping with canon xD)

DFF 11 spoilers
Gonna have to rewatch that episode like 5x to catch everything, please I hope fandom heeds Perth's words and gets on the Tee -> Non train, Tee just looks so good SAD!!! and Non deserves the closure of hearing that he wasn't targeted out of true malice, or like the way it feels to him, his own innate unstoppable bullyability, but out of desperation and opportunism? You know? His sad boy rizz had 100% hooked Tee by the end and I want Non to get to see that and revel in it. Anyway right now me and the girlies are rooting for a Perth/White/Non secondary revenge team.
