Mother Nature sure had a way of ruining your day.
You’d known your period was starting, preemptively put a product, and brought painkillers in your go bag — but those painkillers were in your hotel room, thirty minutes from where you were. And it’s not like you could leave a crime scene you were profiling because of cramps, not when it was urgent that you caught the man behind the murders before he took another life.
You winced, holding your stomach as you stepped around a dried patch of blood and studied his ligature marks. “He’s getting more refined,” you told Spencer, brow furrowing as a wave of pain rolled through you. “Perfecting his fantasy. We should tell the others he’ll have a shorter cooling off period soon.”
Spencer makes a quick call to Emily before looking at you, hunched over slightly and face crumpled.
“Are you okay?”
“Fine, Spence,” you grumble. “We have work to do.”
“You’re doubling over in pain, don’t tell me you’re fine.” Spencer chides, walking over to you. “I’m a doctor, tell me what’s wrong,” he’s teasing you a little, and you smile despite the cramps.
“Not that kind of doctor,” you scoff. “Just cramps. I’ll take meds and it’ll be tolerable,”
He frowns. “Tolerable?”
You exhale, half laugh and half sigh. “Not everyone is blessed with cramps that go away when you take painkillers.”
Spencer hums. “Menstrual cramps shouldn’t be debilitating, though. You’ve been clutching your side for three minutes and twenty-seven seconds and it only seems to be getting worse, guessing from the way you’re acting and talking. I’ll call Hotch. You need to take time off and rest.”
You shake your head. “Don’t. Like you said, it shouldn’t interfere. I can do my job.”
Spencer calls him anyways, and while it rings, he tells you “you need to be at your best to do your job. You can miss half a day to feel better.”
You glare at him as he tells Hotch you had something come up and need the rest of the day off, and your frown deepens as he takes the SUV keys from your bag and guides you with a hand on the small of your back towards the passenger seat.
“I can walk, Spencer,” you snap.
“I know. But I also know you’re in a lot of pain. I’m taking you back to the hotel.”
You sigh but climb in, shifting in the seat until the pain eases a little. Spencer doesn’t comment as he starts the car and plugs in the navigation.
“Thank you,” you say finally, grabbing your water and taking a sip.
“Don’t thank me just yet,” his lips quirk up. “I’m going to make sure you have a source of heat, your painkillers, plenty of fluid, your menstrual products, and that you don’t move in ways that would exacerbate it.”
You stare at him dumbly. “You’re going to babysit me?”
Spencer hums. “If that’s what it takes, Agent __.”
You scoff and turn to stare out the window, pointedly remaining silent as he chatters about studies and colloquial ideas about periods. He’s onto the idea of periods syncing by the time you get to your room, and your head is pounding.
“Spence,” you sigh. “Please shut up.”
He nods and crowds so close to you as you open the door that you couldn’t lock him out, even if you tried. He sits you on the edge of the bed and has you direct him to your painkillers.
“Take them,” he places them next to your water. “I’ll make a warm compress for you,”
As much as you hate that he’s babying you on a work day, it is… nice… that he cares so much and is doing it right.
He hands you a warm and damp washcloth, averting his eyes respectfully as you peel off your tank top and place it on your stomach.
When he settles in an armchair, you stare at him. “You’re not going to the station?”
He glances up at you, stutters for a second. “I can help from here.”
You tilt your head. “Who?”
“You.” Spencer smiles, cheeks turning a little pink. “And I’m a call away if they really need me. The car’s outside.”
You can’t find a reason to make him leave, so you settle into silence, broken only by him flipping through case files occasionally.
A sharp shooting pain makes you groan, and you wince. Spencer is immediately by your side.
You motion towards your pills and he sighs.
“There’s still another three hours until you can take more medication.”
“Fuck,” you whine. “I hate it here.”
Spencer chuckles. “Do you want help?”
You raise your brows. “How?”
Spencer pauses, weighing options. “I can rub your lower back and give a conflicting stimulus in the same area. It will be distracting and also pleasant. I’ve read about how to give massages and touch like a masseuse would.”
You sigh and roll over before flopping into the mattress, voice muffled when you say “go ahead.”
His hands are gentle and warm as he very gently places his palms on either side of your spine. His thumbs roll gentle circles on knots before transitioning to gentle slides and pulls that use both knuckles and fingertips, stretching the muscles and adding a light compressing pressure.
You moan softly at another wave of cramps and his touch mixing, and Spencer only hums, beginning to rub soothing circles with just enough pressure that you melt under him.
“You only read about it?”
“Mm,” Spencer mumbles. “Never had anyone to give a massage to.”
You pause for a moment. “Saving it for a special someone?”
Spencer softly says “something like that,” tracing his movement just a little lower to the dimples of your lower back. “Is it helping?”
“Yeah, Spence,” you mumble. “Feels nice. You’re good at it.”
It’s then that you realize he answered your question affirmatively.
“What kind of special someone?”
Spencer clears his throat. “Does it matter?”
You turn your head to look at him, as best as you can. “To me.”
Spencer sighs, shoulders drooping. “Someone I care for.” His words are careful, precise, almost clipped. “A person who I don’t mind contact with. There are so many pathogens in physical touch, it has to be someone I feel comfortable with.”
You smile, and you can’t help the teasing lilt to your voice. “Are you comfortable with me, Spencer?”
He chuckles. “You know I am, __,” his voice is impossibly soft. “I trust and care for you a great deal.”
Your cramps are long forgotten, and you turn under him. He helps you, hands on your waist helping you shift and reposition comfortably. “Really?”
Spencer swallows, and you look at him curiously. He’s still pink. Red, even. “Really.”
You barely hear him, but you do, and you grin.
“Hey, Spence?” He hums to let you know he heard you, fingers loosening on your waist as he realizes he’s still holding onto you. “You know any other ways to help with cramps?”
Spencer coughs on air. “Um—” his voice is strained, clearly having thought of something he doesn’t quite feel is appropriate to voice. “… there are other things I can go buy you,”
You tilt your head. “But aren’t there studies about orgasms being beneficial?”
Spencer’s eyes widen. “__…” his voice is almost warning, soft and surprised.
“I trust and care a great deal for you too, Spencer,” you whisper, and his eyes flicker to your lips. “You said you’d help me with the pain.”
He only stares for a few moments. “Really?”
“Yeah.”

Tumblr media
"I'm really not sure if it's a good idea, Alice," she sighs, looking over at the bed where her friend is seated, behind her.
"What makes you say that?" Alice replies, arching an eyebrow.
"I have a list of reasons, actually," she states, pulling out her phone.
"You and your damn lists!"
"I know you hate them, but they help me clear my mind," she says, clicking on a note.
"Alright, let's hear your reasons then," Alice laughs. "But I'm warning you, I'm going to dismantle them one by one."
"Okay," she starts. "Reason one is : I don't know him."
"That's kinda... the whole point of blind dates," her friend says, rolling her eyes.
"Well, you agreed to this. I did not. You know how anxious I get when I don't know people," she says, head low.
"Lando is a really nice guy," Alice says, coming close to her friend and stroking her hair. "I just know he'll put you at ease right away."
She takes a few seconds to think, biting the inside of her cheek. It's not the first time she's about to go on a date with someone she's never met before. Even though she doesn't know him, she's not really worried about Lando. She's more concerned about herself, to be honest. She's not a model of eloquence, doesn't consider herself particularly pretty. She's sure her date will do his best. What she's not sure about, is if she'll be able to overcome her own anxiety about the whole situation.
"Reason two, then," she says, focusing back on the note. "I don't know a thing about racing. What are we even going to talk about?"
"Well, something else. I'm sure Lando would be delighted to talk about something other than work for once," Alice replies, winking.
She wasn't lying, she thinks. She really has an answer for everything.
"Shoot me with reason three, baby," Alice says, letting out a laugh.
"Reason three," she replies, eyeing her friend. "Let's say I don't fuck up, which would be a miracle in itself, and we hit it off. How am I supposed to maintain a long-distance relationship? We're not talking about Brighton or Cambridge, we're talking about another continent. Several times a year."
"Well, I'm glad you're thinking so much ahead," Alice replies, earning a frustrated grunt from her friend. "There'll be plenty of people who are in the same situation as you. You can always ask for advice from other WAGS," she concludes, laughing.
"You're insufferable."
"Was there a fourth reason to debunk, or are we done here?" Alice asks.
"There is, actually. That's the last one," she says, staring at her phone. "Every time I've gone on a date like this, without having seen the guy... They were never really... to my taste," she begins. "So I've never kissed them, never went any further. But if I like him, what am I supposed to do?"
"What's the real question?"
"Am I supposed to kiss him on the first date? I don't want him to think I'm easy. Is it better to play hard to get and..."
"Wow, you're overthinking this," Alice says, pinching the bridge of her nose. "I don't have any answer to give you. Just... Go with the flow. And if you're not sure about what to do, let him take the lead. Okay?"
An hour later, she's walking through the streets of Bristol, trying to calm her breathing, her thoughts, her already racing heart. She's checked the address Lando had sent her about ten times before leaving Alice's apartment. On principle, she takes out her phone, checking one last time. Her phone indicates that the restaurant is less than a minute's walk away, at the corner of the street she's on. There's still time to turn back, she thinks, before gathering herself. No. He doesn't deserve that.
In front of the restaurant, she casts a quick glance inside, checking if he's already there, before remembering that she doesn't even know what he looks like. Well, she has a vague idea. She's seen pictures on Alice's Facebook and Instagram over the years, but his precise features escape her. She remembers curly hair, beauty spots. Not much more. She's not sure if she would recognize him in a crowd.
She pushes the door and slips inside the buzzing restaurant, politely greeting the waitress who welcomes her.
"I have a reservation for two," she says. "The name's Norris."
"Ah yes, he's already here, in the second room. I'll take you to him," the waitress replies, flashing a smile.
Her heart stops. He's already here? She deliberately arrived fifteen minutes early to have time to settle down quietly, to gather herself. To wash her hands if they're too sweaty. This was not how it was supposed to go at all, she thinks, feeling the anxiety rise.
The waitress guides her through the tables to the small room at the back of the restaurant. On the way, her brain disconnects, giving way to total panic. I knew it was a bad idea, she tells herself, biting her lip. I'm going to make a fool of myself. The waitress suddenly stops, saying something that her brain doesn't comprehend before walking away and she looks up, meeting his gaze.
Oh, wow, she thinks, eyes widening. That man is too handsome for his own good.
"Hey, it's nice to meet you" he says, extending a bouquet of white tulips to her. "Alice said those were your favorites."
She smiles, taking the bouquet before burying her nose in it. Alice, you little sneak.
"Thank you so much," she replies, feeling her cheeks flush. "They're stunning."
Lando pulls out her chair before sitting back down, not taking his eyes off her. Feeling his gaze on her, she dives intensely into reading the menu. Or rather, she pretends to, because she's not even reading, just trying to avoid the attention the driver is giving her.
"You seem nervous," he states, still looking at her.
Feeling her cheeks turn red, she holds her menu higher in front of her face, hiding a little more. "Hey," he says, putting his finger on the menu to lower it. "What's wrong?"
"I'm sorry. I'm just really bad at this," she replies, finally looking at him. "Dates, conversations, one-on-ones. It's not about you, I swear."
There we go, she thinks, head low. We've been sitting for ten minutes and I've already messed everything up.
"Would you like to go somewhere else?" he asks, and she looks up, furrowing her brows.
"What?"
"I don't want you to feel uncomfortable, that wasn't the intention," he says. "A romantic dinner may be a bit much for a first date. So, if you want to go somewhere else, do something else, it's not a problem."
"But... We're already sitting," she says, confused.
"It's no big deal," he replies, shrugging. "The restaurant is packed, they won't go bankrupt because we leave. We can just tell them we don't like anything on the menu."
She lets out a laugh, covering her mouth, astonished by the driver's suggestion.
"If you could go anywhere, a place where you feel comfortable and safe, where would you go?" he asks, his big eyes detailing her.
She thinks for a moment, looking upwards, biting her lip again.
"If we really had no limits... I'd go to the sea," she replies, thoughtful.
"Let's go then," Lando says, rising up and taking his jacket.
"What? Lando, we can't do that," she says, still sitting. "The good beaches are like, an hour drive away."
But Lando has already circled the table, jacket in hand, extending his hand to her.
"My car's parked outside," he replies.
She doesn't understand what's happening, so for once, she sets aside her brain and listens to her heart, grasping his hand and allowing him to guide her towards the restaurant's exit, the driver only stopping to explain briefly to the very understanding waitress that an emergency has come up and they have to leave, carefully slipping several bills in her hand as a tip - and as compensation.
Outside, Lando leads her to his car, their hands still intertwined, her heels clicking on the cobblestones. He opens the door for her and she slips inside, her heart racing.
"I've never done anything like this in my entire life," she says, staring straight ahead.
"You should never force yourself to do something you don't want to do, though," he replies, looking through the rear window to reverse, leaning indirectly towards her. His scent reaches her nose and she can't help but look at him closely, detailing every detail of his profile. His clear eyes. His beauty spots that remind her of constellations. The curly lock of hair that crosses his forehead.
"Does Ogmore work for you?" he asks, snapping her out of her reverie.
"Ogmore's perfect," she replies, eyes glistening.
They set off, and as the English countryside landscape passes by through the window, she notices that for the first time since she left Alice's apartment, she isn't feeling anxious. Her heart still beats just as fast, sure, but she suspects it's not really because of stress anymore. Lando rummages between their seats and eventually pulls out a cable, which he hands to her.
"I don't mind driving, but you're the DJ," he says, laughing. "Put on some music. Let me know who you are."
She grabs the cable before connecting it to her phone, scrolling through her Spotify playlist. So you want to know who I am, huh? she thinks, blushing again, before clicking on her favorite song.
The first notes of "I'm Outta Time" by Oasis resonate in the car, and Lando shoots her a surprised look.
"I actually love that song," he says, smirking. "What does it tell about you?"
"Well," she starts. "As you must be starting to suspect, I strongly identify with the idea that the sea is the only place that manages to calm me down, where I truly feel free."
"I'm with you on that one," he replies.
"And then... It's quite personal, but to me, the song's about someone who's lonely. Someone seeking comfort, a pillar, someone who can support them through everything. But also someone they'd be willing to let go out of love."
Lando turns his head towards her, and she gets lost in the softness and understanding reflected in his eyes. The song comes to an end, and she clicks on "On Melancholy Hill" by Gorillaz.
"I promise I'm not depressed," she says, meeting his gaze, while he lets out a laugh.
"This one's talking about the sea, again," he states.
"There's that," she says. "And there's this dreamy feeling. It's about frustration, about pressuring yourself to achieve big things, when maybe..." she stops for a second. "Maybe just being with your person is enough. Maybe there's no need for more," she finishes, looking out the window, troubled by the feeling of having said too much.
"I get it," he says, still looking at the road ahead.
"You do?" she asks.
"Of course. I'm not the last one to have dreams and goals, as you can imagine. But at the end of the day, when all that's over, what's left? What do you turn to?"
The rest of the journey goes on in the same way. She plays a song, explains why she likes it, what it makes her feel, what it reminds her of. Lando listens attentively, interweaving her narrative with his own anecdotes, sharing his thoughts, his fears. That's much more intimate than a restaurant, she thinks. But somehow, she doesn't mind.
Forty minutes later, a sign indicates that Ogmore is the next exit, and Lando turns onto the narrow road, which soon becomes a path. They leave the car in a parking lot, where only a few cars are parked before embarking on the sandy trail. Before them, the sun has begun to set, tinting the sky with orange, pink, and violet hues.
"Just in time," Lando says before plopping down on the sand. She sits beside him, closing her eyes. Absorbing the healing sound of the waves.
"Thank you so much for this, Lando. You have no idea how much it means to me," she says, feeling emotional.
They both lie there, side by side, without saying a word, lulled by the sound of the waves.
"Do you remember the night we met?" Lando suddenly asks, looking at the sky and the stars that the onset of night begins to reveal.
"What do you mean?" she asks, turning on her side to look at him.
"It was last year," Lando starts, as she furrows her brows, completely lost.
"I'm not sure I understand," she replies, confused. "I've seen you in pictures... But this is the first time we meet."
"Alice's birthday, in London," the driver specifies, and she dives into her thoughts, trying to rewind time. "You were wearing a black dress. Backless."
"I... I remember the birthday, and the dress," she begins. "But I don't remember you. Well, I remember Alice saying you had something come up," she continues, lost.
"I had a work function, couldn't get away. But I still stopped by, dropped off Alice's gift," he explains.
"I'm sorry, Lando," she says, embarrassed. "I don't remember seeing you."
"We crossed paths in one of the hallways of the bar. You were leaning against a wall, talking to someone... Jeff? Greg?" he says, closing his eyes as if trying to remember.
"Jeff? My boyfriend at the time?"
"Yes, that was him. You two were arguing about something, I can't remember what. The tone started to escalate, and you walked off towards the restroom."
"I remember that."
"I found myself in front of Jeff, and I told him, "You shouldn't argue with a pretty girl like that. She deserves better". He told me to fuck off, to mind my business, and left," he recalls, laughing.
"Wow, I had no idea," she says. "Him and I broke up like, four months after that anyway."
"I know. Alice told me."
"Why would she tell you that? It must not be of much interest to you."
"I'd mentioned to her that I found you beautiful. In fact, to be honest, I think I said you were the most beautiful girl I had ever seen," the driver says. "So one morning, she texted me. Said something like... "She broke up with Jeff. Time to grow a pair."
"Wow," she says, laughing in shock. "I didn’t know that."
Silence falls. Neither speaks for several seconds. He, wondering if he's said too much. Her, wondering what she should conclude from the driver's words.
"So..." she starts. "When Alice told me that she had planned a blind date..."
"It was my idea," he says, meeting her eyes. "But we couldn't say that."
"Oh, my god," she says, laughing again. "I can't believe you two."
A particularly turbulent wave crashes at their feet, making them yelp and quickly stand up. They're suddenly face to face. Wrapped in a heavy silence. One that cannot last.
"So you did, then," she finally says.
"What?"
"You grew a pair," she replies as he bursts out laughing.
"You're not angry at me, are you?" he asks, taking a step forward.
"I'm... quite surprised, I won't lie. But I'm not angry, no. I've never had a first date like this," she confesses. "I've never felt so listened to, so understood... In so little time. It started off badly, and yet you... you made me feel like I could be myself."
"You can," Lando says, taking her hand. "That's all I want."
"Will you think I'm moving too fast if I kiss you?" she suddenly asks.
"No," he says, coming closer until their breaths meet. "I won't."

Wake Up Call
Summary: Nanami Kento does everything in his power to try to wake you up for a meeting. But damn you're too cute!
Pairing: Nanami Kento x FAB!Reader
Word Count: 942
Warning: fluff, suggestive
A/N: Staring Fluffy Fridays! Every Friday you’ll get a fluffy one shot/drabble! 😘💚 I have a severe sinus infection, so I’ll be at home all weekend working on requests and stuff! Antibiotics here we go!! (totally not rolling on the floor in pain)🥲
Tumblr media
The annoying buzzing of your phone pulled you away from the cozy sheets. Whining in protest, you smother your face back into the sheets. Nanami watched you from the bedroom door, a gentle smile tugging at the corner of his lips. You were so adorable when you were sleepy like this.
Your alarm kept blaring, making you throw the covers over your face, clung Nanami in that he needed to step in. He trod carefully over to you, his palm gently pressing against your upper arm and moving his hand up and down in gentle strokes, watching you stir slightly, heavy eyelids lifting to gaze at him.
“Love, you need to wake up.”
“Mmm.” You protested, shoving your face into his pillow that you spooned.
“That was the third time you snoozed your alarm. You asked me to wake you up, do you remember?” strands of your hair fell over your face as you hummed. “You have a meeting this morning with Gojo and Yaga.” Surely your boyfriend thought that would do the trick, but you didn't budge.”Love, your meeting concerns the curriculum you're starting on barriers.” You cuddled the pillow more, moaning softly.
Nanami hated seeing you so tired. You have been working so hard for the last month. Working overtime, skipping meals, not getting enough sleep. All of those factors spoke volumes about your character. You were hard-working and devoted to making the world a better case, ridding it of one curse at a time. Regardless of how strong your work ethic was, you also needed some time to rest and unwind. Nanami wanted you to sleep, but he also knew how hard you worked on your presentation for the meeting. A meeting a particular coworker wouldn’t shut up over if you were to show up at the last minute.
“Gojo is going to tease you if you show up late.”
“Mmm, stupid blindfolded bastard.” You slurred, curling in on yourself. “He makes’ fun of me Imma snap that dirty blindfold against his face like a rubber band.”
Nanami sputtered a laugh, his large hand reaching up to stifle it. You were so cute and blunt when you were sleepy like this! Nanami turned the opposite way, laughing harder into his palm, cheeks flushed while his shoulders shook.
“Sorry to break it to you,” he chuckled, shaking his head, “but you’ll have to get through his infinity to do that.”
“Minor setback,”
“My love.” his freehand trailed down, gently massaging your hip, peeking out from underneath the sheet. You didn’t move, breathing deeper as you slowly drifted back to sleep. “Come on, you need to get up.”
“Ken~ five more minutes, please~”
With a glance at his watch, Nanami sighed in defeat. You’d still have time to make it to work if you picked up breakfast to go. He could put in a mobile order; that way, you could sleep in just a bit more like you wanted. Like he wanted, you deserved to get as much rest as possible.
“Fine, I’m snoozing your alarm for eight minutes,” he repeated to your dozing form. “If you fight me on it in eight minutes, I will be dragging you into the shower myself.”
“Ooookay, love ya’,” your sleepy form whispered.
“Love you too, honey.”
Eight minutes later, you groveled, hiding under the sheets as Nanami stomped in. He waited briefly to see if you would get up on your own. Without hesitation, your hand snaked out from under the layers of blankets and hit the snooze button for a fourth time.
Releasing a heavy sigh, Kento rolled his sleeves up to his elbows before digging you out from your fortress of blankets. His sudden actions had your heart racing and eyes going wide. Having him pick you up like that was a great wake-up call! You giggled and kicked your feet as Nanami carried you into the shower, not fazed by his tight grip.
“There.” Kento placed you down in front of the shower. “Get to it.” Fingers yanked your shirt over your head, tossing it to the floor. “You’re going to be late.” But as he turned to walk out, you grabbed him, pulling him back into your bare chest.
“Oooh, Kento~ let me thank you for the wake-up call!” There was no chance you would let him leave now. You were wide awake and ready to go as you pulled him into the shower with a smile so sweet it could give him cavities.
Despite Nanami’s best efforts, you still arrived ten minutes late to work. Hair was messily done, a cold latte in your hands, and your uniform buttons were mismatched. Yaga jumped as you slammed a box of donuts down on the table as a makeshift apology before waving bye to Nanami, who headed to his office.
“Oooh~ my oh my! Ex-salaryman jujutsu sorcerer and our talisman expert had a lovely morning!” Satoru reached into the donut box, licking his lips as he took a bite from a jelly-filled donut. “You got a hickey on your neck, by the way, ~”
You gave Satoru your best Geto Suguru smile and head tilt. “Hey, Gojo, come here; you have powdered sugar on your blindfold.”
“Oh!?” he leaned forward, grinning. “Thanks for telling me I owe you big—” You yanked his blindfold away from his face, snarling down at the blue-eyed man before releasing it with a snap. “OW!!” Hearing Gojo’s yelp, Nanami roared with laughter as he continued down the hall; what a great way to start his morning.

Someone She Used to Know
Summary: Katsuki meets his ex girlfriend after six years.
Warnings: Katsuki's drunk, throwing up, angsty.
Song: Ghost Town- by Benson Boone
wc: 1k
Tumblr media
It's been six years since she broke up with Katsuki. He doesn't hate her for it. She did herself justice by breaking up with him. He wasn't there for her. Every day was a day of broken promises where he vowed to come home early, spend time with her, take her on a date, and cuddle on the couch, but he rarely fulfilled his broken promises, getting caught up in hero work instead. He doesn't hate her. He never can. It was his fault he was more focused on work instead.
She was the first and last person he fell in love with.
Six years later, he's sitting in a pub. He gets dragged out by Eijiro and Denki here every weekend, but some days, he prefers coming here alone. The clicking of heels catches his attention, and he glances up from the glass he's been staring at for the past couple of minutes, watching droplets of water race down the glass. It's a woman dressed in a beautiful black minidress with sequins like stars. His eyes move up to the woman's face, and he almost spills his drink.
It's her, his ex.
His hands grow sweaty, and he sets the drink on the table in case he drops the glass. He's still as a cat, his breath caught in his throat, heart hammering in his chest. He can feel his shirt clinging to his chest. He hasn't heard a word from her in six years. No texts, no calls, no meeting each other accidentally, so seeing her in the flesh made him dizzy. He couldn't tell if it was the drink or if it was just her. He remembers feeling the same way when he first met her in a cafe. She used to work there at the time, and he'd buy coffee every day from that very cafe despite not being a fan of coffee. Here he was, several years later, feeling the same way. He'd convinced himself that he was over it. Maybe he was not. Maybe that's why he drank like a sad old man by himself every week. Maybe his heart still yearned for her.
She's beautiful, he reminds himself. She's always been beautiful, but did he ever make her feel beautiful? Did he make her feel loved? Could he still make her feel loved? His schedule wasn't the same as it used to be before, given that crime rates had dropped significantly over the past few years, but there wasn't any point now, was there? It was too late.
He wonders if he should go up to her, watching her check the time on her phone. She shook her head when the waiter asked her if she'd like something, giving him a smile. She tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear, tapping a finger on the table. He catches the glint of a beautiful emerald ring on her ring finger, and he understands. She's waiting for her fiancé.
He picks up the glass and downs his drink in one big sip. It makes his throat burn. He doesn't care. He gets his glass refilled again. Her fiancé arrives a few minutes later. A tall and handsome man with kind eyes and a warm smile. He watches her eyes light up at the sight of him. Once upon a time, he was the one making her eyes light up like that. She gets up and plants a quick peck on his lips. The man sits across from her, taking her hand, thumb brushing over the ring.
Katsuki thinks of how that could've been him if he wasn't so obsessed with his work back then. If he didn't come home late, after she was deep asleep, cuddling a pillow because he wasn't there and leaving in the early hours of the morning so his side of the bed was cold by the time she woke up. He thinks of how he could have been the one she dressed up so pretty for. How he could've been the one asking her to marry him.
I don't deserve her, Katsuki reminds himself. She deserves someone who puts her first, someone who's far kinder and loving than he is. Someone who isn't him.
He's lost count of how many drinks he's had at this point. He doesn't remember when he got up. He doesn't know when he got into the parking lot. He's throwing up into a trash can. He feels a hand on his shoulder while he's still vomiting. He glances back to see her watching him with concerned eyes. Her fiancé stands behind her, equally concerned.
"Are you alright?" she asks. Her voice reminds him of a flower garden. Soothing and calm.
"Yeah," he manages to croak. Her eyes dart around, looking for his car. He's in no state to drive himself.
"Would you like me to call Mina or Eijiro?" she asks.
"No," he slurs. He's drunk, but he's sure her fiancé raises his eyebrows questioningly.
"Do you know him, love?" he asks, surprised she knows the number two hero.
"Oh, I used to know him," she replies casually, scrolling through the contacts on her phone.
I used to know him.
He tries not to stumble as he watches her talk to one of his friends on the phone. He wants to tell her he's glad she's found the one for her. He's glad she's happy. The words never leave his throat.
When she was done talking on the phone, she glanced at him with a worried smile, "Would you like us to stay with you in the meantime?"
He wishes she weren't so kind to him. He wishes she'd give him an ugly stare and tell him he looked pathetic, but she's always been like this. Too kind for her own good. He shakes his head in response. She hums and locks her arm with her fiancé, telling him it was nice meeting him with a goodbye. No see you around. Just goodbye.
He sits in his car, the back of his hand over his eyes as he waits for one of his friends to pick him up, her words echoing in his head. Oh, I used to know him. She did not say something like 'ex' or a 'friend'. He was just a stranger to her. A someone she used to know.
Nothing more.

Kindness of Strangers
Please pick up
I'm busy
I know, but this is an emergency
With shaking hands, Zuko found Mai's number and pressed the call button. It rang twice before her voicemail picked up. Zuko groaned and almost started crying.
Mai, pick up Seriously, it's an emergency I don't got out that often zuko. You can't let me have ONE night? Mai I think i need to go to the hospital My stomach. I think it's food poisoning or something Your stomach ache? Seriously? You're a big boy. You can handle an upset tummy Drink some tea
Zuko groaned again. It felt like something solid and hot was burning through his intestine. He tried calling Mai again. This time it only rang once before he was sent to voicemail.
Leave me alone! If you call again, I'm blocking you
Zuko dialed Mai once more. Sure enough, it went right to voicemail this time. She'd done it. Zuko felt bile rising in his throat along with panic. His uncle was out of town. Haru, his only other friend didn't have a car. An ambulance was out of the question. His father had removed him from the family insurance policy, and though his uncle was working on the details to add Zuko to his own insurance, that wouldn't kick in until the following month at least. All Zuko had in the meantime was the student insurance the university provided, and it didn't cover ambulance rides. That left just one option.
The unsteadiness of his legs was a bad sign. As was the way his stomach roiled in protest at the movement. The hospital wasn't far, though, Zuko reasoned. He made it to his door, then he stumbled out into the hall, not even bothering with his shoes. He heard a gasp, and realized his neighbor across the hall was there.
"Are you alright?" she asked. Zuko shook his head. Then, he doubled over and puked onto the tile floor. The neighbor-Zuko recalled he'd heard someone call her Katara.
"My stomach," Zuko groaned, clutching his side. Katara rushed over and tried to help him stand, but the pain wouldn't let him stand upright. He felt a cool hand against his forehead. Then is jerked away with a gasp.
"You need to go to the hospital!" Katara said. She pulled out her phone, but Zuko groaned and tried to stop her.
"No ambulance," he insisted miserably. "Can't afford it." Katara hesitated, and Zuko knew she was debating calling anyway. Finally she sighed and slipped his arm around her shoulders, and helped him into the elevator and into the parking lot.
"Don't you dare throw up in my car," she muttered, strapping him into the passenger seat of a small, blue sedan. She slid into the driver's seat and reached into the back. Zuko was vaguely aware of some rustling, but he didn't know what it meant until Katara passed him an empty plastic bag. She peeled out of the parking lot and raced the two miles to the hospital. The large, white building was in sight when Zuko made good use of the plastic bag. He was still clutching it minutes later when Katara helped him out of the car and into the emergency room.
The next bit was a blur. He was brought back to triage almost immediately where it was discovered he had a ruptured appendix. The words emergency surgery were the last words he heard clearly before he was being stripped, shaved and prepped for the OR. This, he would later decide, was a blessing. He hated hospitals, and this visit would've sent him into an anxiety spiral. As it was, he still had a moment of panic when he woke up attached to an IV and several upsetting sounding monitors, but the panic fizzled into confusion when he realized he wasn't alone in the room. Across from him, in the chair, his neighbor sat curled up under a thin blanket.
She must have felt him staring because she stirred, and then looked up at him. She blinked in confusion, trying to understand where she was and why, Zuko guessed. Then she smiled at him sleepily.
"The doctor said you'd be out a while," she told him. "Are you feeling alright?"
"I...yeah," Zuko said. He was fine, at the moment, though, he could feel the dull ache emanating from his side from where they'd taken his appendix out. "What are you doing here?"
"I didn't know who to call," Katara explained. "I thought you would probably prefer not to wake up in a hospital room alone. They said it was fine if I stayed."
"Oh..." Zuko eyes fell to his hand, to the needle and tube stuck into his skin. Whatever the IV was delivering seemed to be working. He was already feeling the haze of sleepiness creeping back in. "Thank you."
"No problem." Katara smiled warmly. "Is there someone you want me to call? I have your phone."
"Did..." Zuko swallowed hard. "Did anyone call me?" Katara glanced down at his phone and shook her head.
"No," she said. "You've only been here about three or so hours, though." Zuko sighed and let his head fall back. Mai hadn't called. He was irritated, but also a bit...relieved? That surprised him.
"Can you call my uncle?" he asked. He told Katara his passcode. As he drifted to sleep, he heard her telling his uncle that he was fine, and had already come out of surgery.
The next time he woke, the sun was up, and he was once again not alone. Iroh sat in the chair across from him, worry lines etched deep in his face. His entire body unclenched with relief when he saw Zuko open his eyes. He was, Zuko surmised, thinking of the last time he'd sat in a hospital room with his nephew.
"How are you feeling, Zuko?" he asked. He came up to Zuko's side and placed a hand on his wrist, careful not to disturb the medicine drip.
"Like lukewarm garbage," Zuko sighed. The events of the night before caught up to him and he jolted up, looking around. "Where's...?"
"That lovely young woman who brought you in?" Iroh chuckled. "She offered to stay, but she looked like she could use some rest. Very kind of her to sit with you."
"Yeah," Zuko agreed. Iroh cast him a sly look, one that Zuko was too heavily medicated to take heed of.
"She's very pretty, too," he commented offhandedly. "Even after spending the night sleeping in a hospital chair."
"She's too young for you," Zuko snorted.
"Indeed!" Iroh agreed emphatically. "But...she is just the right age for a handsome young man who happens to be studying at the same school and lives in the same building as her. One who now owes her a nice thank you dinner. One into whose phone I took the liberty of programing her number, and who should definitely call and let her know how he's doing."
"Uncle," Zuko groaned.
"I did tell her you would let her know you're okay," Iroh said. "I'm just saying."
"I'm dating Mai." That brought back the earlier portion of the night. Zuko looked around and grabbed his phone. Surely Mai had called him at some point. There was nothing from her. He tried calling her, but it still went straight to voicemail.
"Something wrong?" Iroh asked. Zuko sighed and shook his head.
"No, uncle. Nothing at all."
Zuko didn't hear from Mai until the following day. He hadn't tried to reach out to her again, so he didn't know when she had unblocked him. Suddenly, his phone started ringing and her name and picture showed up.
"Hello?" Zuko said groggily. He had been taken off the pain medication, but the effects hadn't worn off yet.
"Why is your door unlocked?" Mai asked. "Where are you?" Anger boiled up in Zuko's body, unhindered by the lingering drugs.
"The hospital," he told her dryly. "My appendix ruptured." He had at least the satisfaction of hearing her gasp.
"What hospital are you at?" she asked. "How long have you been there?"
"I've been here since I called you to tell you I needed to go to the hospital," Zuko snapped. Mai let out an irritated huff.
"Well, I would've come if you'd told me it was that serious," she said. "It just sounded like you were overreacting about a stomach flu! Where are you? When are you getting checked out?"
"They're discharging me tomorrow," Zuko told her.
"Do you need a ride home?" Mai asked.
"It's taken care of," he said, shortly. "Uncle's coming to get me, so you don't have to bother about it."
"Why are you being so bratty about this?" Mai demanded. "I said I was sorry!" She hadn't, but Zuko chose not to point that out.
"Where were you?" he asked instead.
"Out with friends." That answered absolutely nothing, but the tone of her voice told Zuko that was all the answer he would get.
"Whatever," he huffed. Mai was silent on the other end for a long moment.
"You want me to bring some food?" she asked. She sounded unusually subdued. "I can bring you something at the hospital, or I can make something for when you get back, tomorrow."
"It's fine," Zuko sighed. "I'm staying with Uncle for a few days."
"Are you going to be all mopey about this?" Mai demanded.
"What are you talking about?" Zuko turned his head to scowl at his phone.
"You're doing that woe-is-me, kicked puppy voice you do," Mai said. "I'm sorry I didn't rush over when you called, but I had been drinking, so it's not like I would've been able to take you anyway."
"So instead of saying that, you blocked me?" Zuko's grip on the phone tightened, and he resisted the urge to hurl it across the room. Surely it shouldn't be this hard being in a relationship. Surely it shouldn't be a battle to get his girlfriend to be sympathetic to him after he almost died and needed emergency surgery. The machine monitoring his heartrate started making an alarmed beeping noise, and Zuko forced himself to take a deep breath.
"You know what?" Mai said quietly. "I'm going to let you go. Clearly you need some rest."
"Mai-"
"See you later, Zuko."
The call dropped. Mai had hung up on him again. Zuko's heartrate dropped to it's normal pace.
Mai didn't call again after that, and Zuko didn't call either. She sent him a few texts during the time that he was at his uncle's house recovering. He sent her very short responses. He was fine. He would be home after his stiches were removed.
A day or two into his stay, another message came through.
Hey Just wanted to see how you were doing This is Katara, by the way. Your neighbor Your uncle gave me your number Hope that's ok
Zuko was fine with it, it turned out. More fine than a man with a girlfriend should be, maybe.
When he finally returned to his apartment, his first call was to let Mai know hie was home. She didn't live far, and she wasn't busy. Fifteen minutes later, she was at his door, looking sullen and bored.
"Glad to see you're okay," she said.
"Yeah." Zuko led her into the apartment and sat at the table. Uncle had left him with cookies, among other assorted reheatable dishes. He offered one to Mai. She declined. Then there was nothing else to stall with.
"Why did you block me?" he asked Mai. There was no heat in his voice, no anger. He genuinely wanted to know. Mai scowled at him.
"Seriously? You're not over that yet?"
"I just want to know why," Zuko pressed.
"You were bugging me," Mai shrugged carelessly. "I was out with friends, and I thought you were just trying to get me to leave early."
"When have I ever done that to you?" Indignation flashed through Zuko, hot and bright. Mai just shrugged again. She sat back in her seat and folded her arms.
"I'm sorry, alright?" she huffed. "Can you just drop it now?" Zuko leaned back and studied Mai. He had been with her for five years. She was his first ever high school girlfriend. Had she always been so dismissive?
"I needed you," he said. That made Mai roll her eyes skyward.
"I promise it won't happen again," she said. Zuko shut his eyes and shook his head.
He had other questions. Lots of them. For one thing it occurred to him that she might be cheating, and the reason she refused to answer or come to him when he called was because she was busy with some other guy. It wouldn't have been the first time. He could ask and give her a chance to lie about it. He could even pretend to believe her. Or she might be telling the truth and he was wrong about her cheating. It didn't matter, he realized suddenly. Her answer didn't matter, so he wouldn't ask.
"It won't happen again," he agreed at last. "Mai... I think we should break up."
Zuko's next call was to Katara. The day after his messy break up with Mai, having cleaned up the remains of his cookies and the plate they were on, Zuko dialed Katara's number.
"Hello?" she said, sounding uncertain.
"Hey...um...Zuko here." Zuko's face flushed hotly when he heard her giggle on the other end.
"I know," she said. "I have your number, remember? How are you doing? Are you back?"
"Yeah," he said. "I'm back. I'm feeling a lot better. A little sore, but I can get around."
"I'm glad to hear it." And she sounded genuinely glad. "You didn't have to do all that to meet me, though. You could've just knocked on my door and said hi."
"And waste an opener like puking my guts and almost dying in your car?" Zuko was rewarded with another giggle. She had a nice laugh, he thought. It was so easy to talk to her.
"It was a memorable opener, I'll give you that," she said, laughing again.
"Yeah." Zuko swallowed hard against his suddenly dry mouth. "I was actually calling to thank you. I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't been here."
"Don't worry about it," Katara said. "I'm just glad I was able to help."
"Yes, well..." Zuko chided himself for being such a coward, and he forced his next words out. "I was wondering if you'd like to have dinner with me. To thank you! To say thanks for saving my life."
"Zuko, you don't owe me anything," Katara said gently. Zuko's heart fell into his stomach.
"Oh...I just thought I'd offer." He tried to keep his tone even and friendly as he hit his forehead with his other hand. Stupid. This was a stupid, stupid idea. "If you're not interested, I understand."
"I didn't say I wasn't interested," Katara said quietly. "Just that you don't owe me. I-I wouldn't mind having dinner with you. Just...you know, not as an obligation you think you owe me."
"Oh..."
Oh!
"What if it's not an obligation?" Zuko asked. "What if-I'm asking because I think you're kind and pretty and I'd like to get to know you better?"
Katara went silent for what felt like a nerve-wrackingly long time, but was likely just a few short seconds. Then she said the three sweetest words Zuko thought he'd ever heard.
"It's a date."

How COD characters react to you admitting you've faked an Orgasm
Angst with minor fluff
Note: There are many reasons someone might fake an orgasm. Someone could not be in the mood anymore, feel uncomfortable in the environment, get tired, and several other reasons. That is what this fic is about, not about 'weak dick game'
Tumblr media
Ghost:
•When you dropped that bomb on him he froze. He didn't move, speak, or even blink. He just sat there, staring at you. His mind is racing. He always felt like a Shitty partner and he feels like this proves it.
•Once he found his ability to move he only took a breath. Then after a few seconds took your hand and looked into your eyes. You try to explain your reasoning but he still felt like shit.
•Finally he mutters softly "Why didn't you tell me?" He genuinely feels heart broken that he left you unsatisfied and you didn't voice it to him sooner.
•He sits down and has a long discussion about the why and how. He wants to know how to be a better partner and to make sure you're always comfortable telling him if you need more from him.
Soap:
•He thinks you're joking at first. He makes comments like "yeah right, totally." But once he finds out you're telling him the truth he freaks out.
•He grabs you and and almost crys. He feels like a bad partner and tries to come up with ideas on how to make sure you're alway satisfied with him.
•Sex becomes very different. He's constantly changing positions and asking if he's doing this right. Everytime you two get intimate he seems nervous and tries to solely focus on you.
Price:
•Stunned by the news. He stamers and look embarrassed. He stares at you like you grew wings and flew away. You can tell he's trying to keep his cool but it's not working.
•He buys you multiple gifts ranging from flowers to vibrators. While he does this you notice sex becoming less frequent and when you do have sex he seems less in it.
•When you ask about it he finally breaks down and cries. He says he feels like he can't satisfy you anymore. "What kind of boyfriend/fiance/Husband am I if you have to fake it just so you don't make me feel bad!?" After a talk he kinda gets over it but he doesn't like talking about it.
Alejandro:
•He also thinks your joking at first, but after you tell him you're not lying he stares at you. He starts to curse in both English and Spanish and gets upset. He throws a plate at the wall before slumping on the kitchen counter.
•"Why did you wait to tell me, mi amor!?" He says while not looking at you. When you explain he's quiet. After a while he asks how to make it up to you.
•You bet your ass he's going to pamper and worship you in anyway you please. Makes you promise to tell him and never fake an orgasm again.
Roach:
•He immediately hugged you and nuzzled into your neck. He let's you explain why you faked it and understands that it wasn't his fault. He thanks you for telling him and keeps close to you for the rest of the day.
•The next time you guys had sex he made sure you came several time. He has a little bit of doubt when it comes to his performance but over all just happy you told his so you could work it out together.
Gaz:
•Freezes up and after a minute he's leaves the room to be by himself for a while. He goes over every Sexual encounter he's had with you to try and figure out the when and why.
•Once he thinks he's got it he comes back to talk to you. He wants to know how to make sure you're satisfied. He seems to move on pretty quickly. But everytime you have sex he confirms with you that you at least orgasmed once.
König:
•He stares at you in shock like a deer in headlights before running aways. He hides in his room and has a anxiety attack. He feels like a horrible partner. All that runs through his head is the idea that you're going to leave him for someone that always satisfys you. It shatters his heart to know that he, at some point, neglected your needs.
•Once he calms down a bit he finds you and begs you to let him make it up. "I'll do anything, Schatz! Please I can be better!" You try and comfort him be he won't stop until you tell him what you want and/or need. It doesn't even have to be sexual related, just something to ease his mind.
Rudy:
•Is in denial. He doesn't want to hear it but you notice he takes more time to focus on your pleasure. Or at least, more than before.
•It secretly eats at him for weeks. This has never happened to him before. Then he starts to spiral. What if this wasn't the first time, just the first time someone's told him about it...he dies inside just a little.
Mace:
•He takes a second to soak in that information then he holds you tightly. He kisses you jaw and calmly asks if he can make up for those unsatisfactory nights.
•If/when you agree he gives you the best head of your life. He stays down there for what seems like hours. He checks in on you and apologizes every once in a while.
•After words once you two are ready you guys talk about proper ways you satisfy you and make sure you feel loved.

choi san x male reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank You Officer
warning: police san; au, no proofread,bottom reader,mention of rape,big d san,height difference,mouthfucking,bellybulge,car sex,etc.
!!!PLEASE BEAR WITH HOW CRINGE THIS IS!!!
It was a quiet saturday evening, you were walking home, from your best friend's house. There were only few people around and it was getting dark.
Cold breeze blows, the leaves of the trees falling, scattered on the road, you are feeling cold.
As you walked along the road on the sidewalk, you see a man staring at you, he dosen't look so kind, he's probably drunk. You try to walk past him but he grabbed your hand
"Hi there pretty boy", he says, he reeks of alcohol, he is big, muscular and his beard looks as if it haven't been shaved for a whole decade.
You ignore his words and try to run away, but he is too strong, there's no way you could escape his grip.
"Don't be scared baby, I don't bite unless you want me to", he says.
"Please leave me alone...", you start to cry, tears forming on the corner of your eyes. He's so scary, his looks were like that of a wild beast.
As you are struggling with him, trying to run away from him, crying, a tall figure appears from the other side of the road, walking towards the two of you. His face isn't clearly visible in the dark, he approaches you, and in the pale moonlight his police uniform looks so good in him. It fits him so well that it looks like it is a part of his body, his facial features are sharp, hie is tall and muscular, he looks so good, it is like every strand of his hair is in its own assigned position, he is perfect.
When the man see's the police, he quickly run away, now you are finally free from him. You are breathing heavily, still sobbing, you have thought that you were gonna be raped.
The police officer stands in front of you, so tall, you were only about the height of his shoulder, "What was that?", he said in a low uet clear voice. You panicked, his voice was so sexy, you just stared at him with even noticing it.
If this isn't love at first sight what would it be.
"Was that your boyfriend?" the man asked, you just shake your head. "You were causing trouble, isn't it?" he asked again. "N-no", you replied. The name tag on his shirt said 'Choi San', that's his name.
"Thank you Officer Choi San", you just bursted out, the older smiled, he probably thinks you're cute.
"For what?", he said, "For saving me" quiclky replied. "That man was assaulting me", you continued.
"It's not a surprise, you're just too cute", he said smirking. You were in shock when you heard that, he thinks you're cute. His words were lingering in your head.
"Do you want me to walk you home?", he said, you just smiled at him and nodded.
"I was hoping you'd say yes", he said, he is very good at flirting, you're already falling for him.
On the way home the both of you are chatting and San is flirting from time to time. You feel connected to him somehow even though you just met him. The two of you walked past a restaurant.
"Are you hungry?", San asked, but before you could answer him, the growling of your stomach speaks for itself. "But I don't have any money", you said, "It's on me, don't worry", he said.
"I feel like I owe you so much" you said, "It's okay", he ssid and smiled.
The restaurant was a new one, so their soju was 'buy 1 get 1 for free', San ordered three bottles and a lot of food.
Several minutes passed and you were already so drunk, San wasn't. You totally forgot that you are a lightweight drinker, you are now very very drunk.
San asked for your adress but you didn't tell him, you can't remember it. He decided to just take you to his house. He carries you on his back and started to head home.
At the front door of his apartment, he puts you down. You stared at him and said, "Wow, you're hot", San just smiled, "I want to kiss your lips", you said, you are like a completely different person when you are drunk, you are very bold.
San was silent, suddenly he grabs your waist, pulling you in his embrace,he leans down and started kissing you, first softly and slowly, and then its get more and more passionate. Few minutes passed and now you're, inside his apartment.
As soon as you get in, San took your tshirt off, after that he unbutton his uniform. Both of you are now shirtless. You continue kissing, both of your tongues exploring each other's mouth. Then, San lifts you up and sucking your nipple, his pants weren't able to hide his huge boner.
Minutes passed and you were naked, still kissing, San still had his underwear on, his bulge was grinding against you. Then you pulled away from him, and knelt down on your knees.
You slowly pulled down his pants, freeing his huge dick which was as hard as rock. Then, you kissed his tip, a low groan escaped his lips, tgen you started licking the tip and slowly taking his length down your throat,he is pretty vocal in bed with his groans and soft moans, but there's no way it would fit in your mouth.
You bobbed your head uo and down on his dick, swirling your tongue around the tip and stroking the part that you couldn't fit in your mouth, he let out groans. San grew impatient, your movements weren't able to satisfy him, he just grabbed the back of your head and told you to open wide, then, he positioned his cock on your mouth and started facefucking you,his deep groans and moans were so hot, his tip hit the back of your throat gagging you, you look up at him with teary puppy eyes.
San then lifts you up and laid you on the bed, he laid on top of you, he spread both of your legs and he licks his fingers and then he insert his index finger on your hole which is soon followed by the other two fingers.
After you're loosened up, he smeared his spit on his cock with his hand and the stroked it up and down, he then placed his cock on you entrance and slowly pushing in, only the tip is in but you were already a moaning mess. He always asked if you were okay to make sure you're not in pain. Then he suddenly thrusted it all in making you scream in a mix of pleasure and pain, he was so big that a bulge formed in your belly, San palmed it, he thinks its hot. Sounds of moaning and skin slapping filled the room, he started moving faster and faster, harder and harder, at this point you will not last any longer, there's no more pain, pure pleasure filled your whole body, then you reached your climax, spurting ropes of cum on your stomach and on San's chest.
San still continues to fuck you for several minutes, then he felt his orgasm drawing near, that's when his thrusts started to become sloppy, but still keeping up the pace, then his cock grew harder and finally, he shoots his thick, hot cum inside your hole, your hole is now filled with cum, some leaking out.
After the two of you washed up, both of you lay in bed, you're thinking about how you're sleeping with someone who you've just met, then you quickly fell into a deep slumber

I'll wait for your love
Synopsis: Where Rintaro Suna will wait until you accept his feelings Notes: Mix of angst and fluff ig)?, hope you enjoy it :)
"I thought you weren't going to understand it", you admitted
He smiled at you with a comprehensible look.
"How could I not even try?" Suna response was calm, still staring at you.
His tone was soft and the way he was handling his third rejection of the month was surprisingly serene. You were still amused by how you had the willpower to reject him three times. However, you didn't feel prepared to start dating, not since your last relationship which ended in nothing but pain and traumas. Moreover, you had many things on your plate, and having a boyfriend wasn't one of rhem.
"I deeply apologize for putting you through this situation again..." commented the volleyball player, caressing your hair carefully. "I kind of thought you were ready to start another relationship, considering it has been three months since your last one. I guess I was wrong"
Much to your relief, the school bell rang loudly, indicating classes would start in 5 minutes.
"I guess that's my sign to leave" said Suna to give you another small smile
"Can we still return home together Rin?" you asked shyly, as if you were a little kid asking for permision from an adult, he chuckled softly
"How can I deny you anything sweetheart? You would be at the library, right?" You nodded with a timid smile showing "Okay, I will pick you up there, I promise" That said, the boy left your classroom to meet up with the Miya twins in the corridor.
"And...?" asked the blond twin, staring at his friend excitedly.
Rintaro denied with his head and with a defeated look. Both twins dedicated him a sorrow stare.
"Are you going to return again home with her?" asked Osamu while he was finishing his onigiri
"Yes"
Atsumu sighed
"I don't know how you can do it Suna" admitted the blond twin "I would lose all hope the first time I get rejected"
"I don't mind waiting a little bit more." Rintaro commented indifference
As he promised, after volleyball practices he left the gym and walk to the library, where you were studying. As every Friday you were sitting in the seat next to the window, trying to focus on the piece of paper you had in front. Suna couldn't avoid thinking how cute you looked, he approached you silently and decided to take the seat which was in front of you, admiring you.
He didn't know how much time had passed since he sat there. However, when you realized he was there you couldn't avoid putting a hand on your chest and holding back the scream you were going to let out.
"I've been telling you to stop doing it! Someday I'm going to die due to a heart attack" you complained while you started to collect your things with his help.
"Come on, hurry up or we will lose the train" said Suna before you could keep complaining.
When both of you arrived at the train station, the sun was already setting and the cold started to invade your body. Before you could start shivering, you felt the weight of Suna's jacket on your shoulders.
A sudden feeling of guilt appeared.
Guilty of making Suna wait that long for you. He has been a gentleman since he met you and you could only give him a grateful smile in exchange. Why was it so hard to accept his feelings?
Of course, you would love to be with him and be more than just friends. Nevertheless, you knew you didn't deserve him, at least not the version you were at the moment. Although Suna has told you several times you weren't a burden at all, you couldn't stop feeling that way.
Additionally, you had important stuff arriving in your life next week, which was the other main reason why you couldn't accept his feelings.
"Thanks for the jacket Rintaro, maybe I can forgive you for being such a creep in the library" you said in a playful way, he pretended to get offended at your comment
"You looked so focused I didn't want to bother you, so I decided to admire you" Suna answered, staring at you and getting close to you. "To be honest, I could have waited longer"
The train arrived at the station and both of you entered, trying to find an empty spot for both of you. You were able to lean on a wall of the train, Suna on the other hand stood in front of you, acting as a barrier to prevent someone from invading your personal space.
"How long could you have waited?" you asked while you put your hands in the boy's jacket to keep them warm.
Suna got closer to you, his face and yours were really close and you couldn't avoid feeling the heat on your cheeks.
"I'm patient… I could have waited until you started feeling the same way I feel about you" his tone was soft, but that didn't stop your heart from beating faster than usually
"Don't joke with that!" if your cheeks were already hot minutes ago, now they were burning. You took your hands out of the pockets and tried to hide that intense blush from him.
Suna smiled, he loved knowing that he had that effect on you. It made him think that his love could truly be reciprocated.
"Sweetheart, you know pretty well I am not joking"
With that said, he took gently one of your hands to hold hands with you. Your gaze was still focused on the floor of the train, embarrassed by his words.
Meanwhile, Suna was on cloud nine, he couldn't be happier to have plucked up the courage and taken your hand. He knew that action couldn't be considered as romantic, but the way he simply felt with just your touch was enough for him.
"Rintaro..." your shaking voice made him get back to reality. He raised an eyebrow, confused at the concerned expression you had "I have been accepted into the Tokyo art academy, I am starting next Monday"
His ears were buzzing. Did he hear right? Today was Friday and you said next Monday you would be assisting another academy located in Tokyo. How is that possible? He stared at the station they had just arrived. He had two stations left until you get off the train.
"That's awesome. We should go to celebrate this weekend" Suna said with a monotonous voice, still trying to process the news you had just told him
"Suna, you have a match tomorrow and on Sunday you need to study for the biology and math exam you are having on Monday. Plus you told me yesterday that on Sunday you had your sister's birthday" now you were the one staring at him, meanwhile Suna had a lost gaze, holding your hand tighter than before
The sound of the train indicating they had arrived to next station made Suna's heart skip a beat. He still had one station left.
"Well, we can still keep in contact, right?" his voice was abandoning that usual calming tone. Instead a tone of desperation started to appear.
"Of course Suna, we can still text and make calls"
"I can still keep waiting for you" Suna admitted, raising his head and staring directly at you, holding his breath while he was waiting for your answer.
He felt how people started to push, implying that they were people trying to get off the train. Suna had no stations left. You were going to leave him, for real.
"Rintaro... I don't want you to wait for me. It wouldn't be fair. I'm really sorry, I just got the accepted letter last week. I applied for next year, but they asked me to go there to take the basic subjects I didn't get taught here... I wanted to tell you but I couldn't find the moment..." you apologized with a thin voice. The boy in front of you didn't deserve this, you clearly knew that.
The train slowed down and Suna didn't want to free your hand. He received too much information in so little time, he was paralyzed. With a delicate expression and a sweet smile, you broke free from his grip and waved at him.
"Goodbye Rintaro, take care of yourself, please..."
His eyes followed you until the train started moving again and he lost you among the crowd.
Due to the love he held you he was still determined to wait for you. No matter how much it took him he thought it was worth it, since you are. Long distance relationships can work, right? Moreover, he was willing to pay you a visit every free weekend he had. If both of you wanted, it could happen.
His brain and heart were at a debate.
His heart was telling him to wait for you. No matter how much it took him, he thought the wait was worth it, since you are.
However, his brain threw the most crushing and heart-breaking thought. Even if he thought you were worth it, was it worth waiting for someone who didn't want to be waited?

Chapter 6 now available on AO3!
He’s going on a date. With Hottie Officer Carlos. Tomorrow. He’s equal parts thrilled and completely freaking out.
They’ve texted daily, mostly inane and sometimes flirty things. T.K. would be lying if he said he wasn’t horny for the guy. Seeing him in uniform, the way his muscles had filled out the sleeves, his thighs…T.K. has woken up more than a few times from dreams where Carlos’ broad hands are caressing their way down his body.
But as he’s told his therapist several times, that is not the point of this date. Carlos seems like a genuinely good guy. The type of guy T.K.’s always hoped to be with, the type of guy he thought Alex was.
Alex. T.K. sighs and wonders how long the specter of his previous boyfriend is going to hang over him. He’d tried to get the guy out of his head when he’d first arrived in Austin. There had been some sex, one-night stands whose names he doesn’t remember, and when that hadn’t worked he’d turned to getting the shit kicked out of him in bars. His dad picking him from jail is not even in the top ten lowest moments of his life, but he still feels kind of shitty about it.
He’s been trying his hardest since then to turn things around. This date with Carlos…it feels like a second chance. A chance to be the kind of guy who deserves someone like Carlos Reyes. And he’s trying really hard not to self sabotage it like he usually does.
Right now he’s having kind of a hard time telling the little voice in his head that reminds he’s not good enough to shut up.
“Why do you look like that?”
Judd settles into a chair across from him, leaning back and kicking his feet up.
T.K.’s hand stills where it’s been combing anxiously through Buttercup’s fur. “Look like what?”
“Look like you just accidentally jumped in the pen with my Uncle Cash’s meanest bull,” Judd says. “Something on your mind?”
T.K. rubs Buttercup’s ear and considers how much to share. His therapist has been pushing him to open up more to the people around him. His team has proven time and again that they’re trustworthy, but it’s still hard to give the darker pieces of himself away.
“I have a date,” he says finally.
“Oh really?” Judd says, an interested look flashing across his face. “With that cop from your phone?”
“Yes,” T.K. says. “We’re getting coffee tomorrow. And I’m…”
“You’re nervous,” Judd says with a nod, like it’s a fact. “Good.”
“Good? How is that good?”
“Means it’s worth something to ya,” Judd tells him. “Means it matters. You want a hook up, you just jump on in without caring. You want something more, you’re gonna feel scared you’ll mess it up.”
That makes far too much sense for T.K.’s nerves. “What if I do mess it up?” he asks. “What if he doesn’t like me? We’ve only met once for like two minutes. What if all this texting and talking works through the phone but we sit there and stare at each other in silence for an hour?”
“T.K.,” Judd shifts and sits forward so he can look him squarely in the eye. “I’ve known you for a year, and not once in all those days have you been able to sit in silence for longer than three and a half seconds. You’ll find something to talk about.”
“Thanks?” T.K. says, unsure whether he should feel grateful or offended.
“You’ll be great,” Judd says. “You’re a catch. He should be grateful he gets to spend time with you.”
The room warms in T.K.’s vision, a rosy hue brightening up the dark thoughts in his mind. “You think so?” he asks tentatively.
“You’re a god damned dual certified firefighter paramedic,” Judd says, his voice strong. “And a member of the 126. That alone makes you a catch.” He points a finger at T.K. “Don’t you forget it.”
T.K. has never in his life thought of himself as a catch. He’s just…a toy to be played with. Something for people to enjoy and then be sent packing when they’re tired of him. Judd’s words do something to him that he can’t quite pinpoint, but it feels like a small part of him heals.
Then the alarm sounds and they’re both on their feet, running to the truck. As T.K. buckles into his seat he realizes that he feels…good. It feels like light is dawning on him for the first time in so long. Like those moments when you can’t really see the sunrise yet, but you can feel that it’s coming soon.
They pull up to the fire within minutes and it looks terrible. Flames shoot from windows and out of the roof, smoke filling the early evening air as people flee from inside into the waiting arms of first responders.
T.K.’s heart does a weird lurch as he spots APD on the scene even though he knows Carlos is off tonight. They haven’t even been on a single date and he’s already getting butterflies over the guy. It’s ridiculous.
“Stay alert,” his dad is telling them all as they pull up to the scene. “Two in, two out. This place is going to be unstable. Stick with your partner and if anything seems off get out first and ask questions later.”
“Yes Cap,” they all chorus before jumping out and donning their tanks and masks.
Inside things are hot and dark. The fire is quickly sucking out any air left in the building and the smoke is billowing in thick, black clouds that make it nearly impossible to see. He’s paired up with Marjan and they’re both struggling to make it even a few feet down the narrow hallways.
They manage one rescue, a guy who’s leg is definitely broken, and it’s a relief when they carry him back outside. T.K. pulls off his mask and takes a couple gulps of clean air after they pass the guy off to medical.
“Ready to go again?” Marjan asks.
T.K. nods, replacing his mask and following her toward the door. But before they can head inside there’s a loud rumble and the earth shakes a little under their feet. “Whoa, what was that?” Marjan asks.
“Mayday mayday! Firefighter down!”
Mateo’s voice comes shouting over their radios and T.K.’s heart plummets into his boots. Marjan turns to him, eyes wide. “Isn’t Mateo with—“
“My dad,” T.K. says. Without a second thought he’s through the door.
“T.K.! T.K. wait!” Marjan yells after him.
He can hear her behind him, trying to keep up. “Mateo where are you?” he asks.
“Southeast side,” Mateo says. “He’s unconscious, I can’t wake him up!”
“We’re on our way,” T.K. says, taking the first left he comes to.
“Us too,” Judd says from wherever he and Paul are.
It’s only minutes but it feels like days before T.K. hears the screaming of a PASS alarm. They take a final turn and find Mateo kneeling on the floor next to his dad’s prone form. “What happened?” T.K. asks.
“Beam came down from the ceiling. Took him down hard,” Mateo says. “He hasn’t woken up since.” He looks like he’s just barely restraining himself from full blown panic.
T.K. can relate.
“Dad,” T.K. shakes his shoulder but gets no response and the fear he’s been keeping at bay comes screaming to the surface. “Dad! Come on! Wake up!”
“Hey!”
Judd and Paul join the group. “We need to get him out of here,” Judd says. “This whole place is gonna come down on top of us any second.”
“He could have a spinal injury,” T.K. protests.
“Better injured than dead,” Paul says. “Come on. Let’s go!”
T.K. reaches under one of his dad’s arms while Judd gets under his other side. The way his dad’s head droops as they move makes T.K. sick to his stomach. He’s so terrified he can hardly breathe, air coming in and out of his lungs in tight bursts.
It feels like forever before they escape the heat and the dark, but finally there it is, the outside world, still waiting for them.
They drop his dad onto a gurney and Nancy and Tim swarm in along with Michael, their acting captain for the day, pulling off his turnouts and helmet. His dad lets out a groan of pain that makes T.K.’s knees go weak with a combination of relief and sympathy.
“What happened?” his dad asks as his eyes blink open, squinting against the fading daylight.
“Beam took you down Cap,” Mateo says. “Hit you right in the head.”
His dad groans again and closes his eyes. “Yep, that’s what it feels like.”
T.K. rides with him in the back of the ambulance and then follows the gurney into the ER. He talks to the doctors, tells them about the medication his dad is on for his cancer treatments, and all of his supplements. He calls his mom in New York then sits with his teammates in the waiting room while his dad is taken for tests and scans.
It’s not the worst trip to the ER he’s ever experienced, but it’s not great either. His anxiety is through the roof. This is the second time in just about a year his dad has said a passing hello to death and it’s doing nothing to help his anxiety. The world has faded out to grey again, black and white, like the scuffed tiles of the hospital floor. His skin is itching with the urge to run away from it all, but the desire to stay is currently winning the fight. Yay therapy.
He chews anxiously on a fingernail, hunched over with his elbows on his knees. He stripped off his turnout coat a while ago, but his pants are still sitting uncomfortably stiff on his legs. There’s a char mark on his left thigh from a stray cinder on some call he doesn’t remember. He closes his eyes so he doesn’t have to look at it.
When the doctor finally comes out the news is about as okay as it can be for an injured firefighter. His dad has a concussion and a couple broken ribs. They’re a little extra concerned about the ribs because of the lung cancer and the propensity for pneumonia. They’re keeping him overnight for observation and he’s not happy about it. But overall he’s going to be fine.
Paul drives T.K. home where he falls face first into bed without even showering. He’s exhausted from the stress of everything and it’s only when he wakes up in the morning that he remembers his date with Carlos. Fuck. He has to cancel.
Anxiety curdles in his stomach. Carlos is going to think he’s that guy. The one who claims a family emergency even though they both know he’s really just flaking out on the date. T.K. has been on both sides of that text on more than one occasion, but he doesn’t want to be that guy this time. He’s been trying so hard not to fuck this up, and he can’t stand the thought of it all crashing down because he’s finally choosing to be responsible.
He stares at the ceiling and sighs. There’s no help for it. Even if he gets his dad home in time today, he can’t leave him alone. The guy will be out trying to rescue a kitten from a tree or help a neighbor move a couch less than twenty minutes after T.K. is out the door.
T.K.
[7:32am] Hey I’m so sorry, I have to cancel today.
Officer Hottie- Carlos
[7:33am] Everything okay?
T.K.
[7:34am] My dad is in the hospital. Hurt on a call last night.
His phone begins buzzing almost immediately, the sight of Carlos’ pecs lighting up his screen. He’d forgotten that he’d set Carlos’ contact photo like that and he barks out a startled laugh. “Hello?” his voice comes out croaky and he swallows hard to try and clear it.
“Are you okay?” Carlos asks immediately. “Is your dad okay?”
“Yeah.” T.K. pushes himself into a sitting position and rubs a hand over his face. “Yeah we’re both okay. He has a concussion and some broken ribs. They kept him overnight so I have to go pick him up in a little bit.”
“God I’m so sorry,” Carlos says, sounding one hundred percent sympathetic without an ounce of suspicion or annoyance. “Is there anything I can do? Anything you need? My mom makes soup that she swears will heal anything.”
T.K. closes his eyes, surprised that he can feel tears welling up. Carlos’ immediate response is to offer to provide comfort for him and his dad. It’s so wildly surprising and different from any guy he’s ever dated that the words have gone straight to his tear ducts. “No, I think we’re okay. Thanks though,” he manages around the thickness in his throat. “I’m um, I’m really sorry about our date.”
“Don’t even think about it,” Carlos says. “We’ll reschedule. Take care of your dad. And yourself.”
“Thanks,” T.K. says. “I’ll text you, okay?”
“Just worry about your family,” Carlos says. “I’ll talk to you soon.”
They hang up and T.K. takes a long minute to replay the conversation in his mind. Carlos hadn’t sounded mad or annoyed. He hadn’t even sounded disappointed. Just genuinely concerned.
T.K.’s not quite sure what to do with that, so he shelves it to examine later and forces himself into the shower.
His dad is his usual self when T.K. gets to the hospital. All the nurses are in love with him; the Strand charm effect is strong. He’s definitely in pain though and trying to hide it as T.K. helps him into the car and then onto the sofa at home.
“Are you going to sit there all afternoon staring at me?” his dad asks an hour later.
“I’m not staring at you. I’m studying for my EMT recertification exam,” T.K. says, holding up the manual as evidence
“I’m okay son,” Owen says, that soft, dad look on his face; the one that says he’s more concerned about how T.K. is feeling than himself. “I’m glued to this couch. You can go hang out with your friends or take Buttercup for a walk.”
Buttercup lifts his head up at the sound of his name and then drops it glumly back to the floor when it’s clear nobody is actually going to take him outside.
“I’m staying right here,” T.K. tells him. “I know you think you won’t get off that couch and overdo it, but the second you get too bored you’re going to be trying to throw together a soufflé or check the oil in the car.”
Owen blinks at him. “First of all, you don’t ‘throw together’ a soufflé. It’s a delicate process that requires hours of concentration and impeccable timing. And secondly, I had the oil changed on the car last week.”
“Still not leaving,” T.K. says without looking up from the manual.
The doorbell rings and Buttercup heaves himself to his feet, tail wagging as he wanders toward the front door. “Are we expecting anybody?” T.K. asks as he gets up.
“Could be Judd,” his dad says. “He mentioned last night that he and Grace might swing by.”
“Maybe it’s Nurse Judy from the hospital,” T.K. teases. “I saw her eyeing you up this morning.”
“I can’t help it that my shoulders are accentuated by the shape and contour of a hospital gown!” his dad calls after him.
T.K. snorts and shuffles Buttercup out of the way so he can open the door. The person on the other side is not Judd or Grace or Nurse Judy, but rather a redheaded college age kid wearing a black baseball cap. “Hi, I have a delivery for T.J.,” he says, holding out a cardboard coffee carrier.
“Oh.” T.K.’s brow furrows. “I don’t think we ordered anything.”
The kid checks his phone. “You’re T.J. Strand?”
“T.K.”
The kid shrugs. “Close enough. This is for you. Have a good day.”
He practically shoves the carrier into T.K.’s hands and then heads back to his car.
T.K. carries it into the kitchen. “Who was it?” his dad asks, craning his neck to try and see what T.K. is doing.
“Door Dash,” T.K. says.
There’s a green smoothie and a latte in the carrier along with a folded up piece of paper. He unfolds it and his heart stops inside his chest.
Latte is for you. Smoothie is for your dad. Not quite my mom’s soup but hopefully it helps. -Carlos
Carlos remembered his coffee order. Not only that, he remembered that T.K.’s dad prefers green juices and other organic products. That had been one conversation weeks ago while Carlos was on a lunch break in the middle of his shift.
One text and Carlos remembered.
Oh.
The room around him brightens, the weight in his soul that belongs to the last twenty-four hours lifting off and dissipating into nothing.
“T.K.? What’s going on over there?” his dad calls.
T.K. lifts out both drinks, carrying them into the living room and setting them on coasters. “Someone sent us drinks.”
“Someone?” His dad arches and eyebrow and then winces. “Someone like…the hot cop who lives in your phone that you were supposed to go on a date with today?”
T.K. narrows his eyes. “Did Judd rat me out to you? Because that’s really not cool.”
“Judd didn’t rat you out,” Owen says. “Sound carries in the fire station. And also I know you. You’ve been all moony eyed and nervous this week. It’s how you always get before a first date.”
“I do not!”
“Um yeah, you do,” Owen says. “You know, you can still go on your date. I’ll be fine here by myself.”
“Like I said before, I’m not leaving,” T.K. says. “I already cancelled. He was very understanding. As evidenced by the drinks.” He gestures to where he’s placed them on the coffee table.
Something odd and soft passes over his dad’s face. “Good. He should be.” He picks up his drink and takes a sip. “Ooh! Flax seed. Tell the hot cop I said thank you.”
T.K. sips his own as he pulls out his phone.
T.K.
[12:16pm] Thank you for the drinks. You didn’t have to do that.
Officer Hottie- Carlos
[12:18pm] You’re welcome. Not quite the coffee date we were hoping for, but hopefully it will do for today.
T.K.
[12:19pm] You’re really sweet. And again, I’m super sorry about the date.
Officer Hottie- Carlos
[12:20pm] Stop apologizing. Family comes first. How’s your dad?
T.K.
[12:21pm] Already testing the boundaries of his convalescence. And my patience. But he’s fine. Meds are taking care of the pain.
Officer Hottie- Carlos
[12:22pm] Good. Are you doing okay? That must have been scary to see your dad like that.
T.K. looks over at where his dad has drifted off to sleep, his mouth hanging slightly open. The pain and fear of possibly losing him burns brightly in his chest for a moment and he lets it fill him up before breathing it out again. His dad is okay. They’re both okay this time.
His phone buzzes again.
Officer Hottie- Carlos
[12:26pm] You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to. I didn’t mean to cross a line.
T.K.
[12:27pm] No, it’s okay. It was scary. He was unconscious for a long time. And after the cancer last year, I’m still kind of panicky about him. But he’ll be all right. He’s been through worse. We both have.
Officer Hottie- Carlos
[12:28pm] Feel free to call or text anytime if you need to.
T.K.
[12:29pm] You might regret that. He’s going to be a pain in the ass for the next couple weeks. You may end up having to come investigate his murder because I’m not sure I can handle it.
Officer Hottie- Carlos
[12:30pm] Haha aren’t firefighters supposed to be tough as nails? You can run into burning buildings but you can’t handle your dad?
T.K.
[12:31pm] We WALK into burning buildings thank you very much. And you haven’t met my dad. He can whine like a toddler being denied ice cream. It’s unreal. We may need to reschedule our date just so I don’t lose my mind.
Officer Hottie- Carlos
[12:32pm] Tuesday?
T.K. thinks for a second. His dad should be well on the road to recovery by then. And he’s not scheduled to work again until Wednesday.
T.K.
[12:32pm] Tuesday could work.

Chapter 2
The fog was so thick on the Autobahn back to Wiesbaden that I didn’t get home until 2 a.m. My parents had waited up, wanting to know everything that had happened. I told them Matt was a gentleman, that he was funny and entertained his friends all night, and that I’d had a wonderful time.
The next day in school, I couldn’t concentrate. My thoughts were entirely on Matt. I tried to recall every word he’d said to me, every song he’d sung, every look in his eyes as he’d gazed at me. I went over and over our conversation. His charm was captivating. I told no one. Who would ever believe that just the night before, I’d been with Matt Sturniolo?
I never expected to hear from him again. Then, a few days later, the phone rang. It was Steven. He said he’d just got a call from Matt, who wondered if it was possible for Steven to bring me over that night. I was ecstatic. “Steven, you don’t mean it? He wants to see me? Why? When did he call?” Unable to answer all my questions, Steven said calmly, “You want me to ask your father?”
My parents were as surprised as I. They reluctantly acceded to Steven’s request.
The next visit was very much like the one before—small talk, singing, Matt playing the piano, and everyone eating Grandma’s favorite dishes. But later, when Matt had finished singing, he came up to me. “I want to be alone with you, y/n.”
We were standing face to face, staring into each other’s eyes. I looked around. The room was empty.
“We are alone,” I replied nervously.
He moved closer, backing me against the wall. “I mean really alone,” he whispered. “Will you come upstairs to my room?”
The question threw me into a panic. His room?
Until that moment, it hadn’t crossed my mind that Matt Sturniolo might be interested in me sexually. He could have any girl in the world. Why would he want me?
“There’s nothing to be frightened of, Honey.”
As he spoke, he was smoothing my hair. “I swear I’ll never do anything to harm you.” He sounded absolutely sincere. “I’ll treat you just like a sister.” Flustered and confused, I looked away.
“Please.”
Standing there looking into his eyes, I was drawn to him almost against my will. I believed him; it wasn’t a difficult thing to do. I had discovered by now his intentions were warm and sincere. Moments went by and I still couldn’t do anything. Then I nodded. “All right, I’ll go.”
He took my hand and led me toward the stairs, whispering which room was his, and said, “You go on ahead, and I’ll join you in a few minutes. It looks better.”
He headed toward the kitchen as I slowly climbed the stairs, wondering, What would he demand of me? Expect of me? I will be completely alone with him for the first time. Since meeting him I had dreamed of this moment, sure that it would never arrive, and now I was in the midst of a reality I’d never expected.
I reached the second floor and found his bedroom. It was as plain and impersonal as the other rooms of the house. I went in and sat down primly on a stiff-backed chair—and waited. When Matt didn’t show up after a few minutes, I began to look around. It was an ordinary room with nothing unusual, certainly nothing to imply that it belonged to a famous rock-and-roll singer. There were books, a collection of records, his uniforms, and his boots. There were several letters from girls in the States on his night table. Many were from someone named Nicole. Matt rarely mentioned Nicole, but everyone knew he had a girl back home. I wanted to read the letters but was afraid he’d catch me. It was another twenty minutes before he finally appeared. He came in, removed his jacket, turned on the radio, and then sat down on his bed. I hardly looked at him, petrified of what he might expect. I imagined him grabbing me, throwing me down on the bed, and making love to me.
Instead he said, “Why don’t you come over here and sit next to me?” I was reluctant, but he assured me that I had nothing to be afraid of. “I really like you, y/n. You’re refreshing. It’s nice to talk to someone from back home. I miss that. It gets a little lonely here.”
I sat next to him, saying nothing, but I was touched by his vulnerable, boyish quality. He went on to say that our relationship was going to be important to him and that he needed me. It was October and he was scheduled to return to the States in six months. He knew lots of girls, he said, and many had come to visit as I had, but I was the first girl with whom he felt a real closeness.
I cuddled into his arms, certain he would not move too fast. He held me closely, saying, “I just wish Mom could have been here to meet you.” He sighed and a troubled look came over his face. “She would have liked you as much as I do.”
“I wish I could have met her,” I whispered, moved by his sincerity.
I was to learn that Matt’s mother, Mary Lou, was the love of his life. She had died on August 14, 1958, at age forty-two, of heart failure following a long siege of acute hepatitis.
He expressed how deeply he loved and missed her and how in many ways he dreaded returning to Graceland without her there. It had been his gift to her, a private estate that he’d purchased for $100,000 a year before she died.
Matt believed that his mother had eventually given up on life. Her health had begun to deteriorate when he was drafted. Her love for James and Matt was so great that she could never face the loss of either of them and often said she wanted to be the first to go. In Mary Lou’s naive, country way she assumed that Germany still represented war and danger. She could never comprehend that peacetime conditions now prevailed.
It was Matt’s habit to phone Mary Lou every day. I was surprised to learn that up until the time he began entertaining, he never spent a night away from home. He told me of the time his car caught on fire while on the road and he barely escaped with his life. Although she was miles away, Mary Lou sat straight up in her bed and screamed his name—the intuitive link between them was that strong. Her concern for his welfare while he was away from home was so great that she would spend sleepless nights until his call came, telling her he was safe.
When he was in basic training at Fort Hood, Texas, he rented a house off base for James, Mary Lou, and Grandma. I felt that her death affected him more than anyone could fully understand. He blamed himself for not being with her when she fell ill and had to be sent back home to Boston under a doctor’s care.
In time he realized that Mary Lou had resorted to drinking, and he was very concerned that this could become a problem. As much as he consoled her, assured her that he would return in eighteen months, and even begged her to join him, Mary Lou’s fear of losing her only son drove her to her grave.
Matt’s unrelieved depression over Mary Lou’s death was intensified by the conflict in Matt’s mind over Angela Stanley, who James had met in Germany. Angela and his father had become inseparable shortly after Mary Lou’s death, too soon to Matt’s liking. An attractive blonde in her thirties, Angela was in the process of divorcing her husband and was separated from him and her three children when she started dating James. The thought that his father could ever conceive of replacing Mary Lou upset Matt terribly. He also had doubts about Angela’s intentions and whether they were in his father’s best interest.
“What’s Angela trying to do?” Matt sometimes asked suspiciously. “Make him into some dude he’s not? Why can’t she just accept him the way he is? I’ve never seen him so lovesick. She meets him at some restaurant and exchanges love notes all day.”
My heart went out to Matt that night as he confided his problems and worries. He was a world-famous entertainer, a great star, and yet a terribly lonely man.
Again our visit seemed to end too soon. He kissed me goodbye, my first real kiss. I had never experienced such a mixture of affection and desire. I was speechless but closely tied to the reality of where I was—locked in his arms, my mouth against his. Aware of my response—and my youth—he broke away first, saying, “We have plenty of time, Little One.” He kissed my forehead and sent me home.
By our fourth date, Dad had laid down the law: “If you want to continue seeing Matt, we’re going to have to meet him.” My parents weren’t so enthralled with his celebrity status that they were willing to compromise their principles. In the beginning it was convenient for Steven to come for me and bring me home, but by now my parents were asking why Matt didn’t do this himself. One Saturday night I said to Matt, “My parents want to meet you. They want you to pick me up.”
He bristled. “What do you mean?”
“I mean,” I said nervously, “I can’t come see you anymore unless you come and meet my parents.”
He agreed—provided he could bring his father along.
That day I went through my usual routine except instead of being ready one hour in advance it was two. I waited by the window, looking for his car as I played his records“Old Shep,” “I Was the One,” and “I Want You, I Need You, I Love You”—nonstop until my father yelled from the kitchen, “Do you have to play those records now? My God, the man will be here in a few minutes and you see him practically every night. I’d think you’d want to take a breather from each other.”
I was nervous. I knew that Dad wanted Matt to both pick me up and bring me home himself—and he planned to tell Matt this.
I didn’t know how Dad was going to approach him—whether he planned to be friendly or stern—and I knew only too well how stern Dad could be. I sat there, anticipating the worst.
About an hour later, I spotted Matt’s BMW and saw Matt and his father emerge from the car. Matt had come totally prepared; he was wearing his uniform to impress Dad. He knew that the service was their connection, and he played on it. He looked great.
He took off his hat and kissed me on the cheek. I asked him and his father in and led them into our living room, where Matt fidgeted and seemed, for once, at a loss for words. “Are your parents here?” he ventured. I could manage only a nod and he continued, “I know we’re a little late, but I had to get cleaned up—and we had some trouble finding the place.” I was amused—imagine, Matt Sturniolo making up excuses. I was now sufficiently aware of his habits to know that it took him three hours to change, chat with the boys, enjoy one of Grandma’s huge meals, and sign a few autographs along the way. Except when he was working, he had a stricter attitude toward time.
While James settled on the couch, Matt pointed to our family portraits on the wall and said, “Look here, Dad—here’s y/n with her whole family. I think she looks like her mother. Can’t see too much resemblance with her brothers or sister—they’re still a little too young.” “Don’t cut your hair, Baby. I love it long like this. You’re one pretty girl. How’d I happen to run into you? Must be fate.” The last few observations were uttered in a whisper to me as my parents came in.
Instead of saying, “Hi,” as most young men would have done, Matt put out his hand and said, “Hello, I’m Matt Sturniolo and this is my dad, James.”
It sounded silly to me, they knew who he was, as did the whole world. But Matt was the perfect gentleman. My father was visibly impressed, and from that moment on, Matt always addressed him as Captain y/ln or Sir. This was characteristic of Matt, whatever a person’s position in life—whether doctor or lawyer, professor or motion-picture director, unless someone were in Matt’s immediate circle, Matt rarely used first names, even in dealing with people he’d known for years. As he once explained to me, “It’s simple. They’ve worked hard to get where they are. Someone should respect them.”
The conversation with my parents that night was just small talk. Matt said that he’d spent a busy day at the Kaserne and this led to an exchange about the service.
“What did they assign you to over here?” Dad asked, implying that it had better be a solid job if Matt wanted to take out his daughter.
“Sir, right now I’m basically driving a jeep for the Fourth Armored Division in Bad Nauheim.”
“That can be tough this time of year.”
“You’re not kidding, sir. We’ve had some pretty cold nights out there already. I have to be especially careful. I battle tonsillitis when my resistance gets low, which isn’t good for my voice.”
“I guess you’re looking forward to going home.”
“Yes, sir. Only five more months.”
Then Matt asked my parents how they liked being stationed in Germany.
“Very much,” Dad said. “We plan on being here for three years.”
There was a sudden silence. Then Dad offered dinner, but Matt said they didn’t have time. I sat attentively, observing Matt’s uneasiness and remembering his relaxed manner in his own home. He was on his best behavior and it was endearing. Mother was reserving judgment about this rock-and-roll star she had professed to dislike so much. I could see that his Southern charm was winning her over.
Finally, my father got around to explaining to Matt the y/ln dating rules. If he wanted to see me, Matt had to pick me up and bring me home. Matt explained that by the time he got off duty, went home, cleaned up, came to Wiesbaden and back, the evening would be gone. Would it be all right if his father would collect me?
Dad mulled this over, then expressed his concern. “Just what is the intent here? Let’s face it: You’re Matt Sturniolo. You have women throwing themselves at you. Why my daughter?”
Both Matt and James were caught offguard. James shifted from one side of the chair to the other, probably thinking, Okay, Matt, how are you going to get out of this one?
Matt said, “Well, sir, I happen to be very fond of her. She’s a lot more mature than her age and I enjoy her company. It hasn’t been easy for me, being away from home and all. It gets kinda lonely. I guess you might say I need someone to talk to. You don’t have to worry about her, Captain. I’ll take good care of her.”
Matt’s honesty disarmed Dad, just as it did my mother. I joined Matt as he stood, picked up his hat, and added, “Well, sir, we’ve got a long drive.”
There was one stipulation: Matt himself had to bring me home. He agreed, reassuring them that I would be well taken care of, that there were a lot of family members at his house. He could have ridiculed Dad’s request, yet he agreed to take me home every night. I was thrilled but contained my excitement. He really wanted to be with me.
The next night, when Matt brought me home, we parked in front of the pension. He poured out his heart to me, as he would continue to do throughout our time in Germany. He was lonely. He was unsure of how he would be received by his fans when he returned to the States.
When he’d entered the Army, he had been at the pinnacle of his fame. He’d recorded seventeen straight million-selling singles and had starred in four films, all of which had become box-office hits. When Matt was drafted there had been talk of him possibly joining the Special Services, where he could have sung and retained some rapport with the public. But Colonel William, his manager, and RCA were convinced that he should serve his country as a regular soldier, claiming that the public would respect Matt as a man if he went in as a buck private. Now Matt was afraid he might have lost the support of his fans.
While we were parked, one of the Frauleins who lived in the pension passed the car. She greeted me and then, when she glanced at Matt, her mouth dropped open in disbelief.
a/n - i know this is a slower paced story but its solely based off the book. there will be quite a lot of chapters and time skips so don’t worry too much! 🎀

The Bear: Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto x Fem!Reader: The Walk
Part One is linked here!!!
Part Two is linked here!!!
Masterlist
(YES, the plot has changed. I do not own The Bear characters.) Y/N = Your Name
Tumblr media
Y/N’s POV
You throw on your cozy walk outfit and walk outside to meet Carmy. He should be here any minute. What he doesn’t know is that you packed a small little picnic for you both.
You wait on a bench until you see Carmy’s car pull up and he walks toward you. He’s holding two coffees and he exclaims, “I didn’t want to show up empty handed, so I brought you a coffee the way you like it.” How does he know what coffee you like?! You reply, “That was sweet of you, thank you.” He opens his arms to hug you and you hug him back. He’s so warm right now and he doesn’t smell like smoke. He smells really good. Shut up brain this is your boss that you are thinking about.
You both start walking around the park and you reach the area near the pond. You ask, “Fancy a picnic?” Carmy says, “Sure.”
You both sit on a bench and give Carmy a food haul from your tote bag. He seems excited about the burritos and after he takes a bite, he exclaims, “Holy shit. I swear if you were not employed already, I would hire you. This is so good.” You reply, “Thank you, Carmy. I don’t like cooking for more than like 4 people though. It really stresses me out. When I cook or bake, I feel more in control when I do smaller portions.” He replies, “I used to feel that way. Then I kept practicing and cooking, so it’s a way of life. If you ever want it to be yours, then it could be.” You reply, “Your way of life? Haha! I’ve always wondered, do you ever get super burnt out cooking for yourself because it’s your job every day.” He answers, “Haha wow we’re getting deep now… I do get burnt out cooking for myself. If I don’t want to cook, I will make myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich then call it a day. I also have several quick recipes I know how to make in under 10 minutes if I am still in the mood after work. It depends on the day.” I ask, “What was yesterday?” He answers, “2 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with milk.” I answer, “You’re getting a little crazy there.” He laughs then says, “Thank you so much for yesterday. I feel like I didn’t thank you enough for how you helped me. You really helped me not have a complete mental breakdown and ruin my relationship with my employees. I appreciated it and needed it." I reply, "I believe you said and I quote the light in the darkness of my mind. If I'm ever not at work, I'm only one call or text away. I do work and have class, but I also have time where I can be on my phone." He replies, "Thanks." You both talk about your anxieties for a while then sit in silence staring out at the pond.
You turn to Carmy and ask, "Random question, what did you tell Sydney that made her give you my address so willingly?" He asks, "She didn't tell you?" You answer, "No, she refused to answer it. She seemed really nervous about it though. I had to reassure her that it was okay that you visited and that you brought me a dessert." He nods and asks, "So it was okay that I came over? I didn't know if we were crossing some kind of boundary or if it was okay. I was also worried at what you might think, but I wanted to make sure you were okay." You reply, "And for that, I am very grateful. That caramel tart was all I ate that day besides an apple." He replies, "Then I guess let me know if you ever need a caramel tart any other night you get really bad anxiety. I can always drop it off after work." You reply, "Ok, yeah I might just take you up on that offer." He smiles. He has a cute smile and it makes you smile. You say, "You should smile more, Carmy. You have a nice smile." He smiles widely and says, "It's only for you these days, Y/N." Is he flirting with me or being nice to me?!?!??! You ask, "What do you think of the walk and the view of the pond?" He smirks and says, "I can think of a better view." OMG OMG OMG is he flirting with me again!?!!?!??! You laugh and say, "Oh... thanks." He exclaims, "I think I should tell you what I told Sydney. I told her that I cared about you and I wished I didn't because you're my employee. She gave it over once I told her that my feelings for you weren't going anywhere anytime soon... When Richie made that workplace romance joke yesterday, I was worried it would wreck anything we could've had together. I didn't want it lingering in your mind without knowing for sure. So, yes I like you. I know we just started bonding and we're both dealing with a lot of anxiety, so I'm okay if we wait to date. But, when you want to, I would like to be your first choice if you like me too." HOLY SH**!!?!??!!??!?! I'm freaking out on the inside. You say, "You're my first choice to date too. I'll admit that sometimes the thoughts of what we could be have come across my mind at work. I try to not focus on how attractive I find you while I'm working as the host or talking to Sydney in the kitchen as you cook." He smirks and says, "I find you attractive too, for the record." ok ok teehee this is it!!! LMK if I should write more of their story like the first date? first kiss? idk... also... pls be gentle with yourself and ily

Tumblr media
It was around 2 am when (Y/N) came downstairs. She wasn't usually awake at that hour, but it seemed like the universe had conspired against her to not let her sleep that day.
It had been several weeks since she had managed to establish a friendship with Simon. He had started to treat her differently in some ways, he no longer seemed angry around her, he seemed calmer and, if she was honest, she liked having someone to talk to.
Having established a friendship with him made the idea of having to go everywhere with a bodyguard much easier and lighter. However, there were days when she just didn't know how to ask him things.
One of them was that night when she went downstairs, expecting to find the typical darkness of her house, but something caught her attention: the tv in the living room was on, for a second she expected to see her father, perhaps he had returned before of his trip, however, that thought was completely dashed when she approached the area and noticed Simon's back against the back of the couch.
Her brow furrowed because she had seen him take those pills that he had mentioned helped him sleep, she thought that maybe he was already in his room sleeping.
"Simon?" she murmured and slowly approached him, hoping not to bother him with her presence.
He stopped rubbing his face and turned to look at her, he felt surprised to see her there at that hour, he quickly tried to change his expression of frustration and tried to give her a smile, but all that came out was a grimace.
"I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" he asked even though he had remained still for the last few minutes without making a sound.
"No, what are you doing awake?" she asked now. She walked up to him, took a seat next to him and watched him for a few seconds looking for some sign that would tell her that he really didn't want company, but Simon didn't say anything. Her company had stopped bothering him a long time ago.
"I could not sleep." he sighed and leaned back on the couch again, her gaze drifted to the ceiling for a few seconds. He was sleepy, he felt it deep inside him, yet he couldn't sleep no matter how hard he tried.
"I thought you had taken your pills." She settled better in her seat once she felt confident enough and knew that her presence didn't really affect him.
"Yes, it don't always work."
She was silent for several seconds. She had never experienced a medication not working for her, she assumed it was normal, there were always exceptions.
She stared at the TV for several seconds, the volume was so low that she couldn't hear anything, she only saw the people in the movie moving around, it seemed like they were arguing, but she couldn't know it, people in movies always exaggerated.
There were too many things in her head, too many questions and most of them about Simon's past, however, she didn't dare to ask it so directly, she was afraid of touching some memory that would make him feel bad, it had happened to her more than once and she had never learned to handle those types of situations.
"Are they nightmares?" she asked. She didn't move, her gaze remained fixed on the TV, but she could feel Simon's gaze drift to her for a few seconds before returning to look at the ceiling once more.
"Something like that, memories," he replied. For him, nightmares were something that didn't exist and only your mind created, what he saw before sleeping were memories, things from his past.
"What kind of memories?" she asked a little unsure, she quickly looked at him and spoke again. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."
She shrugged before looking away again, not looking at him when talking about that kind of thing was easier for her, she didn't know what kind of support to give him, her friends never talked about her emotions, or well, after their last conversation, she had come to the conclusion that they were not her friends.
"Thinking about my family sometimes gives me… insomnia."
"What happened to them?" She asked now with more curiosity than ever. He had never talked about his family, nor had she even heard him mention that he had friends.
"They died," was all he answered.
(Y/N) felt something cold run through her body, what did that mean? Had they all died at the same time? But she didn't dare ask, it was too much, so she just shifted in place. Simon never thought that talking about it again would take a weight off his body, but he regretted it when she didn't talk again, maybe he had made her feel uncomfortable.
After several seconds, she dared to speak again.
"I thought you were talking about the army."
For the first time in several minutes, he turned his head to look at her again, and although she didn't do the same, Simon didn't move.
"The army was not the worst period of my life, why do you think that?"
She shrugged, looking at him out of the corner of her eye just to confirm that he had her gaze on her, Simon laughed at her reaction when she quickly looked away so she wouldn't have to look at him. again.
It was as if they were both in a staring game and he was the one who had the upper hand.
"I don't know, I'm ignorant, I guess. In the movies they always show that they have a bad time."
Simon laughed and felt more relaxed, he enjoyed her nervous expression because he had never really seen her that way, she had always been a calm person, she wasn't bold, but she wasn't shy either, she was just… in the middle of it.
"No, strangely I think she was my favorite."
"Yes? why?" she finally turned around so she could look at him better, now it felt like a conversation between two friends.
"Well…" Simon sighed, averted his eyes for a few seconds before looking back at the girl. "I met nice people."
"And do you miss them?" She looked at him carefully, now truly intrigued by his response.
Simon realized that her questions were actually due to her interest in knowing about him, something similar had never happened to him and he felt a warm sensation in his chest as he noticed someone's interest for the first time.
"Sometimes, but I prefer to be here."
"Here?"
Simon realized what he had said and sighed, thinking about how to get out of this situation. He certainly liked being there and having to take care of her, now that their relationship had changed, he didn't feel pressured at all and his job seemed easier.
"Yes, here, who is going to take care of you so that you don't run away at night?"
(Y/N) laughed, she had no longer tried to escape after what happened last time. Simon shifted his gaze to the ceiling when her giggle made him smile.
He felt calm, he never thought that the girl's presence would comfort him so much. The yawn that left his lips let her know that something she had done worked, sleep had returned to Simon.
"You must go to sleep."
He nodded, watching as she began to get up to return to her room. He had to do the same.
"Wait." She turned to look at him, he was silent for a few seconds. "Thank you."
She nodded, she didn't know what to say, she wanted to continue their conversation, she wanted to spend the night with him, maybe talking or just sleeping, but she knew they hadn't reached that level of trust yet.
"I'll go to sleep," she murmured before continuing on her way to her room.
That night, Simon no longer felt only as her bodyguard.

okay im back with more for this arranged marriage AU! Heres the last thing i wrote
this time i made something longer--Asmo and MC doing their little meeting/date before agreeing to marriage its fun check it out :]
the only warning is "an upset asmo getting in ur personal space'" other than that i think thats it!
Tomorrow you were supposed to meet your possible future fiancé. This type of affair was not a first time thing for you so you already had an idea of how things would go. Which was the two of you being forced to interact for several hours.
Though you knew what was coming, was it not possible to be a little nervous considering who it was you were meeting?
Asmodeus Morningstar--one of the most influential families in Nefarelin. Their was no shortage of exceptional members in that tree. And to be crass, every other potential spouse you met before were like dried leaves in comparison.
And this didn't even factor Asmodeus's own appeal and popularity. You'd only seen him in passing a few times but you could tell he was quite beautiful even from a distance. On top of that, the general public were strangely obsessed with him. You weren't completely sure why, but he must be very likeable if that's the case.
God, how many people have probably asked for his hand in marriage by now? You could only wonder.
All around it would be pretty foolish to turn this down. And that's why you were nervous…. Your parents were giving you a choice. But it was one of those choices where the answers were 'yes' or 'hmm, okay I suppose'. You did not want to know what would happen if you dare declined.
You'd already considered the logistics of this situation, dwelled on it for days. And it would definitely be a loveless marriage from your side. And that was something normal…but you were fine with how your life was currently! You didn't want to deal with any expectations romantic or otherwise from a spouse.
And what about Asmodeus.
He was well loved by many, had a reputation for enjoying the nightlife and being the center of attention. It seemed highly unlikely that a man like him was looking to "settle down" all of a sudden!
Your hands stop fiddling with your hair.
Wait.
Maybe this arrangement could work.
~
God this is so uncomfortable.
Maybe you underestimated Asmodeus. For some reason the first time your eyes met his saccharine ones, you struggled with maintaining contact. Each time, it felt like he was staring straight into your mind.
Perhaps it was just your nerves but either way you were overwhelmed. You didn't feel like yourself so had trouble talking.
Luckily for you, Asmodeus didn't notice or didn't care as he had been talking nonstop this entire time.
"Hellooo?"
"Oh--sorry what did you say?"
Asmodeus repeats his question while fanning himself. "I asked if you wanted to rest for a minute. I need a break from the sun."
"Okay…"
It was sunny today but not too hot to take a walk. Though you had been outside for a good while with Asmodeus. You both make your way to a gazebo that provided good shade around this time of day.
You rest your elbows on on of the railings and prop your head in your hands. A small sigh escapes you.
"Can you make it any more obvious that you don't want to be here?"
Asmodeus rests a small distance away, smiling but you're not so sure if he's being lighthearted about it.
It was a fair observation. These meetings always felt like a waste of time to you. They were forced interactions. The worst type. And you already knew you'd agree with the arranged marriage at the end anyways.
"Sorry, I'm just a little tired."
You look back at him and try to give a friendly(?) smile. Actually why not just be straightforward now?
"It's kind of hard to believe you want to get married. It doesn't seem like something that would interest someone like you."
"Eh…I guess there comes a time in everyone's life where they think about these things."
Very vague.
Asmodeus leans back in his chair, looking up as if he's scraping through his brain. "But I don't recall running into you beforehand. I definitely would have remembered…so how would you know that?"
"I've heard a lot about you. Kind of impossible not to."
You had a bit of an idea about him before this whole situation. But once it got out that he was "interested" in proposing, well the maids had no problem telling you everything they knew. It was definitely not all true, but it pretty much confirmed what you already felt.
"That makes sense. Isn't it great that now you get to experience me in person instead of by word-of-mouth~"
"…Uh huh. Well I feel like I should tell you now. That I plan to say yes."
"Say yes?"
"Say yes to marrying you."
You watch for any negative reactions but nothing. Though you were still sure he wasn't really interested in marriage.
"…Oh?"
"Listen I understand if you were forced into this position. In fact, I'm sure that you were. And to be honest I've never been partial to marriage myself. I always thought it wasn't in the cards for me…"
You take a step away from the railing closer to Asmodeus. "But wouldn't it be foolish to say no? Outside of the benefits it would have for my family. You're definitely one of the most sought after bachelors…and well just look at you. I'm almost a little envious…"
Asmodeus's curious face changes to something else. Something you can't really place your finger on. You just knew he didn't look very pleased.
"Well at least I know you're not blind." His fingers play with his fringe. "And that's all fine and dandy but…"
When Asmodeus stands and looks back at you your heart skips a beat. You take a step back as he takes one forward. "I hope you're ready to handle me because I don't think you can."
Oh my god what was happening?
You were frozen in place as Asmodeus trapped you against the railing between his arms. You didn't even think to push him away and just stood there stupidly.
"I-I…"
Rustling sounds from a nearby hedge, but when you both look in the direction of the noise there's giggling and the sound of retreating people.
You sigh. At least someone was enjoying the show.
You gently push at Asmodeus's chest so you can make space.
"Sorry sometimes the staff gets bored haha…er should we h-head back?"
"If that's what you want."
Asmodeus turns away from you. "I just want you to know that since this marriage is just a title I'll be sticking to my usual. Hope you don't mind~" He walks away humming to himself.
Your brows furrow…that man. Why'd he have to do all that? You weren't expecting anything different in the first place?
You let out a huge sigh. Was this going to be the norm from now on?
Well at least you both were on the same page about the marriage…. but you couldn't help but think a serious misunderstanding just occurred.

Okay so I did a writing exchange with @the-starry-raven and I finally finished it (sorry it took ages)
Anyway, here it is:
Alerudy comfort :]
It wasn't even the evening yet, but so far the day had been horrible.
At least he had the rest of the day off, that was the one positive.
The new recruits had taken it upon themselves to ignore all of his advice and purposefully make everything difficult, including doing the exact opposite of what he instructed them to do.
Every single one of them.
It had started with small things- the mean look here and there, things muttered under their breaths- things he could easily brush off, things he'd done as a young recruit filled with more energy and emotions than he knew what to do with.
But then the recruits got more comfortable, bold even, they started toeing the line as the day went on.
One had even thrown something at him- a stone, his brain helpfully supplied- another just stopped running on the track and had started yelling at him about how he hoped his life would fall apart and that his family would die, among many other things.
Overall, you could safely say he'd had a shit day.
Rudy sighed and pushed open his door, locking it behind him before dropping down onto his bed.
He lay there for a few minutes, just staring at the ceiling with all its spiderwebbing cracks and dusty corners.
Light streamed in through his window, broken into fragments by the privacy screen and sent scattering around his room in pretty shapes and colours.
Someone knocked on his door and waited for a response; they didn't get one.
They knocked again, then again a few more times, even trying the handle before seemingly giving up and walking away when Rudy still didn't answer.
He couldn't find it within himself to worry, or even care, if it was urgent. Instead, sighing again before getting up and trudging into his bathroom.
Switching the shower on to warm up, Rudy began peeling the sweaty layers of clothes off, kicking his boots off into a corner to worry about later.
Rudy stepped out of the bathroom with one towel around his waist and another draped over his shoulders, allowing the gathered steam to escape with him as he rummaged around for some clothes.
He finally settled on a soft pair of black joggers (a nice gift from Ghost for his birthday) and a jumper his mum had given him for the same birthday.
Rudy checked the time on his phone, not reading any of the notifications or messages, and decided to try and sleep off some of his sour mood.
The alarm he'd set 2 hours ago blared from his bedside table, causing Rudy to groan in annoyance and fumble about to turn it off.
Once the god forsaken noise was turned off, he rolled onto his back and basked in the silence of his room and stare at the cracked white ceiling, which was now painted in the soft light of the setting sun.
He reached to his bedside table for some water, taking note of his dry throat, only to realise he'd forgotten to pour a glass before he'd fallen asleep.
Groaning in annoyance again, Rudy pulled himself up before making his way out of his room in search of a drink.
He eventually reached the door to the rec room, pausing when he heard several voices chatting inside, laughing loudly.
Rudy leant by a corner, watching as the group of soldiers who had previously been milling about in the rec room walked away, still laughing amongst themselves.
Once he'd deemed the rec room empty, Rudy slipped into the room and made his way over to the small kitchen area.
Flicking the kettle on, he grabbed his favourite mug down from the cupboard and dumped a spoonful of coffee granules in it.
He heard the faint sound of the door opening and clicking shut, quiet footsteps approaching him from behind.
"What's wrong mi corazón?" A set of familiar arms wrapped around his waist, the person resting their chin on his shoulder.
Rudy couldn't help but melt into the touch, leaning backwards as he hummed absent-mindedly.
"Oh mi amor, what happened?" Alejandro murmured into his hair, swaying them from side to side gently.
"It's nothing, coffee?"
Alejandro mumbled a "Yes please." waiting for Rudy to pull him a mug down before spinning him around to stare in his eyes, "It's definitely not nothing, what happened?"
"Not now Ale." Rudy returned the stare, watching as Alejandro's eyes flicked over his face, studying him.
Alejandro hummed, disbelief clear on his face, "Alright, but I'm asking again later."
"Want to watch a film?" Alejandro picked up the mugs and walked off, leaving Rudy to follow him if he wanted a drink.
"I don't get a choice?"
"You get to pick the film." Ale turned to shoot him a smile, still walking.
"Where we going?"
"My room, no one will bother us unless it's an emergency."
They reached his door, Alejandro unlocking it and gesturing for Rudy to enter, "I'm just going to get us some dinner, that okay?"
Rudy smiled, "Sì, get us something good."
Alejandro laughed, "Of course."
"Want to tell me what happened?" Ale whispered the question into the top of his head.
"Maybe." Rudy shifted so he could lay his head on Ale's chest, Alejandro pulling a blanket up over him.
"We have all the time in the world, mi corazón."
Rudy hummed again, "Recruits were being difficult."
"How?" Ale prompted him gently, running a hand up and down his back.
"Just getting mouthy." He mumbled into his chest.
"That's a new word; picked it up from the 141?" Ale asked, smile colouring his voice.
"Mhm, they started yelling about my family."
"Rudy, you know full well what they were saying wasn't true..what were their names?" Alejandro was obviously making efforts to keep his voice level, he appreciated the effort.
"Not important." Rudy steered the conversation away from his day, instead asking about the film.
Alejandro, taking the hint, started answering the questions with a fond smile, still running his hand in absentminded circles on Rudy's back.
It had been about a week after his disastrous training day, Rudy having moved past it and continued training the same group of recruits- much to Ale's annoyance.
Rudy sighed and rubbed a hand down his face, sliding away from his desk and the paperwork littered all over it.
Deciding it was time for a coffee break, he made his way out of his office towards the rec room.
Crossing the grounds, he heard yelling coming from the cafeteria building.
Changing his path to go check if there was a brawl in the cafeteria, he prepared himself to have to get involved and break up a fight.
He reached the door and quietly inched it open, aiming to assess the damage before anyone spotted him.
What he didn't expect was to see a group of recruits, the ones who'd caused him trouble, sitting on the floor looking a mixture of petrified and disappointed in themselves.
And pacing in front of them all, his back to Rudy, was Alejandro.
He was in the middle of yelling about how important respect was in their career, the door creaking when Rudy pushed it open causing him to pause.
He turned around slowly, face melting from murderous to soft when he saw who it was, "Rudy! Perfect timing mi amor," he snapped back around to the group of recruits, "Up you get, quickly."
The group hurried to obey, scrambling to stand up straight in front of the two officers.
Alejandro nodded, pulling Rudy further into the room, "Now apologise."
The recruits winced before all at once mumbling a, "Sorry, Sir."
"Not loud enough, again."
"Lo siento Sergeant major." The recruits stood up straighter and almost yelled their words, watching the two officers warily.
Alejandro nodded again, dismissing the recruits and watching them sprint out of the hall as fast as possible.
"How long had you guys been in here?" Rudy asked, taking his partner's arm and pulling him towards the rec room.
"Ehh, a few hours."
Rudy hummed and suppressed a fond smile, "Don't do it again Ale."
"I can't promise you that, Rudy." Alejandro took his hand in his own and whistled happily to himself as they walked across the grounds, swinging their arms between them as they went.

Evalien: *steps into blackreach and blinks hearing a low drone sound followed by a ringing in her ears and an irregular thrum in her chest* what- does?… anybody else hear that?
Wyrm: no??
Caryalind: no? What does it sound like?
Kaidan: it could be the others above ground?
Sylas: Nah I stopped hearing taliesins caterwauling ages ago, either were too far down or marigold shut him up.
Kaidan: or flynt.
Henwen: Shh I see movement ahead- it’s big.
Evalien: *looks in the direction and sees what she first thinks is a centurion lumbering towards them, only to see a long ponytail of heavy thick braids hanging above its rear* is that?… another dwemer?
Wyrm: Another?? *suddenly runs ahead of her*
Kaidan: Shit- Wyrm no!
Evalien: it’s… alright… *taps into the sound again realising its coming from them* he’s… putting out a signal… I think he’s lonely?
Wyrm: *waves at the figure* Hello! Hi! Over here! Are you a dwemer?? We have one with us to- too… *backs up as the figure turns to face him showing a heavy helm resembling a scuba helmet, the glass panel glowing an alert yellow*
Evalien: Wyrm behind me. *pulls him back and steps forward before singing out a note of her own, much higher, sweeter, changing frequency and pitch as she awaits his to join hers*
???: *shifts their stance in surprise before releasing the low frequency again, shifting it until it harmonises with hers and their song beats as one, the light on his helm turning green, then aetherium blue as he begins to approach*
Evalien: *smiles and approaches too* hi. Can you understand me? What’s your name?
Bass: *groans lowly as he comes to a stop before her, his power armour whirring as steam filters out between joints, his helmet splitting open and drawing back revealing an old but handsome dwemer, purple skin, blue eyes, and thick dark hair with a silver streak* Hello. My designation serial ID is Zurghngerthanark… You may call me Bass. I am a former baritonal architect… what is your designation?
Evalien: no clue what Zurg- Zurghnger- sorry give me a minute that’ll take me some practice- my names Evalien. I’m… im the dragonborn. I don’t have a serial ID.
Bass: *eyes widening in surprise before shifting to relief* you… You are the one the scroll foretold of… the one the renegades hoped for. Do not fret about pronouncing it… It is just my number amongst my unit and assigned purpose. I feared maybe you were of… Less well minded of standings…
Evalien: you? Know who I am? Renegades? Well minded?
???: b-bass?
???: shhh! People! Strangers let’s go back inside!
Evalien: *looks over to see several pale faces staring out from behind a wall at her* Snow elves! More of them- *gasps as they hide away* no no don’t be afraid! Henwen! Sylas look!
Bass: *looks over to the group to see the two snow elves in her care* You have found survivors?! How? I feared we could save no more. *steps towards them making Kaidan step forward and draw his sword* Ah- I mean no harm, truely, *kneels down with a loud grunt before disconnecting his entire left arm from his suit and weapon with it* I just wish to check their health…
Wyrm: *lured the other snow elves out of hiding revealing well over 30 of them* this is a sweet roll! They’re very good would you like some??

Also. In other news from this morning.
I got a work email and one of the guys included on it has an email that takes the form of first-initial-part-of-lastname, which, yknow, generally works well
But his name is Mario Pregler
And the psychic damage I took as a result of seeing the email [email protected] at 9 in the morning cannot be overstated
