My life is complete. I've stumbled across a "Billy stans don't interact we don't support racist sympathizers" blog and it's a blog that openly stans slasher villains. This is why I try to tell fellow Billy fans to block haters without engaging. They are hating just for the sake of hating and don't want to hear reason 🙄
Ah but you see, stanning slasher villains is completely okay because they hate & kill everyone equally. But if you're guilty of rahcism (no matter how vague that is), you're bad evil wrong and should be canceled. Even if you're a fictional character and it makes no fucking difference in the real world. 😂
But yes, engaging with them is pointless. Blocking annoying people only takes a couple of clicks and you'll never have to see their posts again. Some of them haven't even watched the show lmao - they just hate Billy because everyone else said he's bad, and so they're already biased against him. 🤪

#okay random story time i don't know why im narrating this or how i even stumbled upon this memory rn#but i generally do sad vents in the tags and for a change this is a funny one#so back in highschool (i say highschool but i mean junior college) i used to visit this park near my house a lot#i was an sg kid back then and the thing about parks there is that they're kinda beach-parks and they have the best cycling/running tracks#they're also really massive parks so i used to go often. sometimes bicycling. other times walking. yeah. the park was like my sanctuary#anyway. there are quite a few bike rental areas in the park and there was a cute lil shop next to this one particular rental place#and they sold like biscuits and water and icecreams and stuff so i went there a lot#and on one particular day i went there and there was this guy around my age part timing at that shop#now again this migjt be a culture specific thing bc i dont see it in india a lot but part timing in uni/pre-uni is p common is sg#a lot of shops and restaurants employ have really young waiters for part time... anyway im just adding context#point is that i had walked to the park with my mum that day and she had told me to go buy like a couple icecreams and i went to the shop#and i saw this guy around my age and like. not to be a simp but this dude was so pretty?#like he saw someone had come to the counter so he looked up and shot a smile and i thought i got slapped by sunlight#i could spend the next several lines going on about his pretty tan skin and his glowing raven eyes but this is pathetic enough so ill stop#anyway. he saw me and smiled really wide (customer service smile- i thought to myself) and i smiled back and asked for icecreams or whateve#and then this guy started getting chatty right. so he was all 'you come here (to the park) often right? ive seen you with your bike a lot'#see now. the problem with me is that i always think im bothering people. this poor dude was attempting to make conversation#and i was replying with one word answers#and i wasn't even realizing that he didnt want that. bc he kept asking more questions and i. kept. shutting them down.#then when he gave me the icecream he was all 'are you here alone? icecream alone is no fun... i could keep you company if you want..?'#which. he was being really cute about right. but because im so fucking dense i was all 'oh no i came with my mom actually'#and he went 'aw man' in this really cute but faux sad way which i didnt understand at the time and i left and then#after three full fucking days. i realized this man was tryna hit on me?#and then i went to the park like a week later and he was gone. poof. i even thought of asking the uncle in charge of that place#then i got too embarrassed and chickened out#yeah so turns out my neurodivergence neutralizes any sort of rizz that comes my way#i could've been chilling with a cute boyf rn but no😩 this is my destiny

ngl i’m kindaaaaa fuzzy on the details about the someya bros’ relationship, but long story short, they’re stepbrothers (with koichiro spawning from the resident longleg tamagoro and yujiro being tae’s son, of course) who were kinda pitted against each other when it came to learning how to perform (kabuki) from tamagoro, because longleg’s gotta longleg ig.
then yujiro gets disinherited because the longleg’s still longlegging and koichiro takes to the kabuki stage by himself as the local “national treasure’s” sole heir. so, like, i’m guessing that the events surrounding yujiro’s disinherition may have led to their (frankly terrible) brotherly relationship of “an inferior older brother” and “a superior younger brother”?
though this dynamic carried on pretty much for as long as yujiro longed to perform on a kabuki stage, just like koichiro does (if we were to take the lxl movie’s word for it). then yujiro became an idol and started to work towards a different dream, breaking off from the path (kabuki) that he used to follow koichiro down, which i guess made koichiro start to see yujiro in a different light?
like, imagine you have a lifelong rival who strives for the same goals that you do. however, this rival of yours is less skilled than you, so you naturally grow to have a sense of superiority over your rival, taking satisfaction in crushing them while having full knowledge that they will never be able to beat you when it comes to your shared goals.
however, one day, your rival decides to aim for a different goal, completely ditching your shared goal and stuff, and they actually seem to be doing pretty well in their path to achieve their new goal. how would you feel?
because i get the feeling that koichiro’s initial response to that was to feel betrayed, in a “why are you running away (from kabuki)?” sense.
though, over time, koichiro seems to have gradually come to terms with yujiro’s idol activities, and their relationship naturally (albeit slowly) improved as the days passed, with them going on walks together and bickering with each other like brothers would. which, y’know, is cool of him in a way. he’s learning. he’s still kind of a brat, but he’s growing despite his past mistakes.
as for yujiro, well, he seems to have been looking out for koichiro in his own way from the very beginning? like, man chose not to go against koichiro’s mistreatment, opting to just lower his head and accept it instead.
was it an act of self-sacrifice to protect koichiro’s ego or something? heck, even in the lxl movie, he just took everything koichiro dished at him, and only fought back when koichiro dared to mock his bf aizo. which is. pretty unhealthy, yujiro bro. just tell him you have a proper brotherly love for him for goodness sake. your communication skills s u c k.
um. anyway.
tl;dr: stepbros made to learn kabuki because of their father. older bro gets disinherited, younger bro gets an attitude and mistreats older bro. this continues until older bro becomes an idol and begins to walk his own path. younger bro feels betrayed/annoyed at his older bro for “giving up” on kabuki. younger bro does eventually accept the fact that they have different dreams and supports older bro. seems like older bro has always been looking out for younger bro though, even though he doesn’t say it.
thoughhhhhh seriously, i’m not a someya expert or anything, i just like making fun of the longleg, so… if someone with a degree in someyaology could chime in, it’d be greatly appreciated~~~

there was also another one like that posted yesterday because the person was mad at something qBad did a couple of days ago while not at all in his right mind and amnesiac, it was odd (not shitting on the person just confused and slightly concerned)
yeah there’s. a lot of misconceptions around qbad rn lmao. It’s one of the reasons Im so obnoxious about him, tbh, so that it’s not JUST the negativity that gets spread. He’s a really good target for the hate rn, because he has a smaller fanbase and his pvp playstyle + lore lead him to all that antagonizing during purgatory, and that gets vented out into fics.
It’s genuinely really interesting, the dichotomy that seems to exist between tumblr and twitter regarding him. Ive heard nothing but slander about bbh from twitter (again, he is not faking his illness, that is a lie), but he’s got a solid enough foothold on tumblr that ive seen more hate towards the fans that the cc, here. which makes sense, given how we take over the tag almost ever day when he logs on. genuine o7 to people who find that obnoxious but thats one of the reasons i overtag so much, for blocking purposes.
anyway i think all the bbh mischaracterization means that we just need to write about him more >:D please this is a call for more bbh centric fics from people who do not hate him/know a little bit about his lore. blease he’s such a fun pov to write i promise

If you managed to get the real answer out of him, though, he'd describe himself as too fucked up . He's a man too fucked up who fucked up too much . He's desperate . He's remorseful . But he's also wholly selfish, and knows that what he wants he'll probably never get because of that, and of course much more . Again, he's a man who fucked up a lot .
If you really enforce limiting his words, though, and were still getting a legitimate answer, he'd just describe himself as sorry .

im thinking about the wire again
#p#ds9#thinking abt.. how julian is often v sensitive to what people think of him (e.g. the b plot in explorers)#but in Doctor Mode pretty horrible verbal abuse just rolls right off him#and that the lengths he goes to in it are objectively like pretty insane AND that he'd have done it for anyone#also about the notion of forgiveness wrt garak. he never said why he needed it and i imagine he never would say it#comparing it w improbable cause/the die is cast i do imagine that compassion like he mentions in one of the stories#and shows for odo has been something he's always had and struggled against to do his work#did he need forgiveness for the weakness of having it and acting on it? for not acting on it more often? for something else entirely?#one of the most interesting things about their dynamic to me is that julian knows he won't get a definitive answer there#and won't know to what degree garak worked for or against the occupation and any number of other things he'd morally condemn#(not to mention how he felt about those things as he did them not that it matters wrt making a moral judgement)#and he doesnt seem to care that much! it's an interesting point of hypocrisy#that last part is less relevant to the wire bc like julian says & demonstrates he would've done it regardless of his guilt#just thinking abt it & them more generally. bc they keep hanging out and julian talks v fondly to him in s3#garak#julian bashir

Both men watched the scene as it unfolded before them, trying their hardest not to chuckle and remain stoic, as if they hadn't just witnessed the poor bodyguard doing his hardest to keep up with Kanako, with the girl completely outrunning him yet again. They didn't have to struggle for long, though, as their attention now switched to the young girl and her cute costume.
"Oh, no!" Robert replied, overly dramatic acting with hand motions and all, but with a smile on his face to show he was only playing. Jonathan couldn't help a chuckle at those theatrics as well. "Please don't cast a spell on us! Tell her, Jonathan!" Following the cue, Jonathan then joined Speedwagon.
"Yes! Please don't do that! We will give you all the candy we have!" The back of one of Jonathan's hands pressed against his forehead; head tilted back and all. It was clear that some of Robert's overly-dramatic ways had rubbed off on Jonathan over the years.
"He's right. But…" Robert then spoke again, putting a hand over his chest. The small smile never fading from his lips, "How about I show you a trick first?" The old man then crouched in front of Kanako. His expression turned a little bit more serious to add to the effect of what he was about to do.
"Watch this." He then added as he reached behind Kanako's ear and "pulled out" a small candy from her ear, showing it to her. A soft "Ohh" was drawn from Jonathan. Of course he knew how that trick worked since Robert himself had taught him long ago, so this was more for hyping up for Kanako.
"Sweet trick, isn't it?" Robert told her; his smile was back as he gave the girl the candy and picked her up in his arms so she was closer to Jonathan's level as well, and who had Kanako's Halloween candy ready.
"Your treats, young lady." Jonathan joined as he gave Kanako the bag of candy the two men had prepared with anticipation for her.
