Sometimes I think of Amy Pond, who grew up being called mad by those who wielded the word as a tool of exclusion and shame —
Amy Pond, who though forced into the hands of four psychiatrists, still clung to that which they called madness until those systems which elevate psychosocial conformity above humanity stripped it from her —
Amy Pond, whose imaginary friend reappeared for a single hour after twelve years and reignited that faith before disappearing for two more years —
Amy Pond, who spent those those two years under the same implicit threat ingrained in her through psychiatric violence, and thus began to believe the man who stopped the invasion was “just a madman with a box,” only for him to agree, and to also call her “mad, impossible Amy Pond,” reframing madness as non-negative for the first time in her life —
Amy Pond, who ignored the disembodied voice of her imaginary friend even as she ran away with him for real, who still lived each day with the traumatic internalization of deviancy dictated upon her by the psychiatric-industrial complex that shaped her from childhood —
Amy Pond, who wouldn't acknowledge the Doctor's voice, such that it took an Angel in her eye that was literally killing her to ensure she couldn't reality check herself —
Amy Pond, who stood before a room which muttered about “the psychiatrists we brought her to,” and though afraid, escaped their rigid parameters of acceptable existence.

Something I've Been Reminded Of
Spoilers for Ch 86
Kicking off season 2 of Spy x Family we have the long awaited date of Loid and Yor-which was just lovely-and in that we got this line from Loid:
Tumblr media
Of course, this is just him drastically missing the actual cause of Yor's poor mood, but Agent Twilight believes that he has made Yor cross with him for asking for help running the household. This is a marriage of convenience after all, not an actual partnership.
While it's never made the forefront of a scene, at least not in an overtly plot heavy way, Loid is often shown doing the majority of the house work. He cooks, cleans, helps Anya study, cares for Bond, etc. He'll even make sure that dinner is ready for Yor when she comes home late. Not to say Yor doesn't do anything, she's often shown preparing drinks and will help clean up now and then, but the implication is that Loid does 90% of the chores along with raising Anya, caring for Bond, his work as a fake psychiatrist, his work as an actual spy, along with whatever day trips/misadventures the family gets up to.
But he will not ask for Yor's help, because this whole thing is a marriage of connivence; it's 'for the mission'.
Then we get chapter 86. Twilight is hurt from a gun fight with his brother-in-law, has just faced a representation of his worst traits in Winston, and gotten into a "fight" with Yor which he has no idea the cause of. Loid has officially been pushed to the limit and the moment he gets home-the moment he feels safe-the sight of Yor smiling through the threshold causes him to collapse and ask:
Tumblr media
And Yor:
Tumblr media
Which shocks Twilight. He is at his lowest point and is expecting for Yor to actually get upset with him, under the impression that she'll see his need for help as a burden.
Yor has always been eager to help Loid, but never wanted to overstep this unspoken boundary they have. She isn't his actual wife, not actually Anya's birth mother. She's there to keep up appearances, it's not her place to be a wife helping her husband. She will still hesitate around Anya for actions that are unavoidably motherly. It's not her place, Loid is handling it even if he's struggling.
Which is why Yor is glad to be asked for help.
Tumblr media
How many characters both acknowledge Twilight needs help and actually offer help? Let alone with no ulterior motives. WISE is under the impression that everything they ask is within Twilight's capabilities and even Franky, the only person in his life who could be considered a friend, needs to maintain a certain distance as to not arouse suspicion for either of them.
Yor's position as mother for the Forger family has granted her both the closeness needed to see how ragged Loid's been run, but also be in a position to offer help that can be reciprocated. The only thing holding her back has been Loid not asking for assistance and her being to worried for her position in the family to ask.
And now that Loid has reached out, Yor will do all she can to ease his burdens. Even with Twilight resolving to be better, to be the perfect spy he's been slipping from, I don't think Yor's going to let him go back to bad habits. He needs help, he's asked for help, she's going to help.
Yor is going to aggressively care for Loid, and through shenanigins break down those barriers of his.

Yandere Professor Hannibal Lecter x Female Reader
Chapter: Dog Days.
When your ex Professor Hannibal Lecter kidnapped you after you finished your school semester as his student, you were at first rebellious. Quite the fighter.
The first meal Professor Lecter cooked for you was none other than Oxtail Soup. He wouldn't let you feed yourself. That annoyed you.
Smiling, he used the spoon to fill it with the tasty liquid and held it to your lips. "Say 'ahh'.''
You blew into the spoon and it caused the hot water to splash onto the face of Professor Lecter.
He hissed in pain. He then put the bowl and spoon down. He slapped you hard across the face.
You were shocked. You clutched your face and felt a bruise forming on your cheek. No one ever raised their hand to you. Not even your own father.
"Listen, Bitch." Professor Lecter grabbed the bottom of your chin to make you look up at him. "I am trying my best and I will not tolerate disrespect."
For you whimpered as tears flowed down your eyes. How frightened you were of this man.
Professor Lecter's expression softened in pity and you think regret. He sighed as if he was tired.
"Please cooperate." He held a spoonful of soup again.
Slowly, you opened your mouth and sipped.
The next morning, you felt weird. You couldn't understand the feeling. It wasn't pleasant. It was, in fact, ugly. Your head hurt and it was spinning like a dark and creepy carousel.
Your throat itches and feels dry. The worst was your temperature. Both overly warm and then cold. Switching on and off. Causing you to be confused. You were sick.
Lecter wanted to make up for slapping you. He knew this was to be expected. I mean he did kidnap you and it was natural to be scared. He felt foolish for losing his temper.
But, his whole life he was respected. His parents spoiled him and would never refuse him. He was popular at school. And when he became an adult and then a successful Psychiatrist, he was always worshiped and respected.
He didn't like this new treatment.
He wanted you to love him back.
Lecter wanted to remove that chain you were wearing and live a normal life with him as his wife.
Well, he wants you to homeschool his future kids. Other than that, he wants a normal life.
Lecter had to wake early to go grocery shopping. He doesn't eat sugar. Only meat and vegetables.
He got the ingredients to make heart shaped pancakes.
Tumblr media
He went to Pinterest to cook simple pancakes. He never cooked pancakes before and didn't want to screw it up. This was new to him.
Lecter tried his best. He assumed it was okay. He added strawberries and powdered sugar. It looked decent.
He felt nervous. Normally, he was always confident in everything. With you, it was the opposite. He felt insecure. Oh, well. He shrugged his shoulders. Maybe it is because he loves you. In novels and movies, he read that people feel stupid all the time around their crush.
Taking the tray, he added soy milk and gummy vitamins. He walked down the stairs to the basement.
He saw you curled in bed. "Wake up, my dear. It is time to eat." Lecter announced in an authoritative voice.
When you didn't answer, he clenched his jaw in annoyance. The hard way again? So be it. Lecter settled down the tray on the expensive glass coffee table and walked over to you.
He ripped the blanket off your body. And to his surprise, you were still as a stone. That confused him. He felt your forehead and to his horror, you were burning up.
That caused his heart to pound in fear. You were sick! He then checked your pulse and opened your eyelid. A high fever you had. Lecter then covered you back with the blanket and went upstairs for medicine.
Over the past two hours, Lecter tended to your every need. He gave you pain killers and fed you chicken soup instead. You got better.
But, still weak. Your ex Professor was currently sitting next to your bed pressing a wet rag against your forehead.
You poor thing. He thought. He held your hand lovingly and watched you.
To his surprise, you began talking in your sleep. He blinked in curiosity. He didn't understand what you were saying at first. Now, he heard it loud.
"Mummy."
Ouch. You missed your mother. Lecter sighed. First you wouldn't accept his love, you reject him, he hits you, and now you are sick.
Everything was going wrong.
He is lost and doesn't know what to do.
Covering his face with his hands and resting his elbows on his knees, the stress and worry of your health caused something strange to him.
He felt tears sliding down his wrinkled face.
The thought of you dying was the worst thought. He cannot imagine you leaving him permanently. That was why he took you away in the first place.
"Why are you punishing me, Name?"

if you're tired of talking about biblically accurate simon, feel free to delete.
but here are a few of my thoughts: as we know simon grew up in an abusive household. and after growing up and joining the military, he comes home and is finally able to make something of the dysfunctional family he had (there's probably a better way to word all of this so apologies ahead of time) something that might even build some hope in him. until everythings goes to shit that is because the three women in his life who he had a connection with (not thinking about the other ways he'd been tortured and traumatized both by his father and in mexico) are his mother, his brother's wife, and the psychiatrist meant to approve him as fit for service (of course these aren't the only people he loses, but this is just for the sake of discourse).
they all end up dead.
whether we talk about 'biblical' or realistic ghost, there's no way you get out of that situation unscathed without the mentality that some people are just not meant for war and (i think) even some resentment for people who are weak (especially for those who choose to keep themselves in that position). and after all he's gone through, he becomes apathetic. it's not his job to make someone understand that there is no safe space for them in the world they've chosen to be in (that world being the military).
he'll do what he has to, as what's asked of him by price. but dead weight is dead weight and if you can't admit it to yourself that one day you'll be outmatched by someone bigger and stronger -- then that's your problem. but at the end of the day, if no one else can see it, all that matters is that you do your job without anyone else getting killed.
never done talking about shithead ghost, i'm just working on our pornstar one rn.
true!
i like that. he's not being mean to you or bullying you. he's showing you that there will always be someone smarter, bigger, stronger than you. and god save you if you ever meet him on the opposite side of battle.
it irks him that you walk around with this willfully ignorant air about you, chin high, shoulders unburdened by defeat.
also, he's never really gotten over konig that one time he saw him. 'a human battering ram' that would break you apart.
what will you do with the pieces then?

MENDEL AND HIS BEHAVIORS [ACT 1]
Note: This is going from the original script because that’s all I have on my laptop. I also did not proofread.
In the beginning of act 1, Mendel raises the question, “What do they do for love?” which, in many ways, is answered throughout the musical. However, Mendel’s ways of finding “love” and gaining a family are questionable.
Mendel had only heard about Trina through his patient Marvin, since she was his ex-wife at the time, and eventually had her as a patient as well. During the therapy session of “Love is Blind,” we start to see Mendel as a character, or at least what he shows now. He starts saying how lovely she is while she’s telling him about her husband giving her STD’s. I feel like that alone says enough, but when she gets to talking about Jason, he seemingly approves of Jason saying Marvin isn’t his dad and he’s a prick. He even ends the song saying how he’s never married and how “work is his passion,” but after his first meeting with Trina, he says he ‘admires’ her.
“Marvin at the Psychiatrist” is the first song that we see deeper into Mendel’s true intentions. He spends part 1 of the song making sure that Marvin loves Whizzer, almost making sure it’s not just some fling, so that he can get to Trina. Mendel, knowing about psychology and the inner workings of the brain, uses gaslighting and manipulates his words in a way to be controlling and control someone’s thoughts. In part 1, he uses pointed questions that make Marvin think more about whizzer and his feelings for him rather than his family problems, talking about it at psychiatry almost making him feel like it’s more important than his family problems he more than likely needed to talk about.
In part 2, we get a look into Marvin’s perverted intentions with Trina, starting the part with how her “meager glories” and “tragic stories” move him in unreported ways, and if you’ve ever watched the musical, you’d see what he means by that. He follows up how she’s a very good and wonderful woman, and even asks Marvin if he minds that Trina came to speak of Jason. This already sets off red flags, since doctor-patient confidentiality laws had already been in effect for at least 5 years at this point, and knowing it’s set in New York, these laws had to have been upheld well there. He even mentions he hopes Jason continues to act out and misbehave, more than likely he wanted to use Jason as a tool to continue talking to Trina and getting closer to her, and that there are a few more things he wants to ‘explore’ about her. He asks about basic things at first, if she was vicious, if she beat Jason, if she was faithful, but these questions start going south quickly. Marvin just saying the word ‘breast’ makes him go out of control, and he even asks Mendel what’s wrong with him. In response, Mendel asks Marvin if Trina sleeps nude. After his little outburst over the word breast. Okay buddy. He asks if she wears a negligee, and even sniffs a scarf she left behind, Marvin catching him. This song is where we see the most of Mendel’s personality, and even though everyone’s a little messy in act 1, he’s just outright creepy.
In ‘This Had Better Come to a Stop,” the family and the little bit of sanity holding it together finally starts to crumble, going downhill as Marvin and Whizzer get in yet another argument. Mendel, being who he is, assures her it’s not her fault and it’s through anyways. Trina, frustrated and seeking for answers as any woman with a gay ex-husband in the late 70s would, asks who’s responsible, and Mendel just says not to ask him questions and how he’s frightened of them, but he’s glad the marriage is coming to a stop and how he’ll help Trina mend herself after this.
From here on, the family starts to fall apart. Trina breaks down, everyone is fighting, and Trina admits that she thinks she likes Mendel, but continues to say how she only wants a man who can love, like, or help her, which Mendel helps her and seems to be obsessed with her, which she probably takes as his love.
By the time Mendel comes to the house for Jason’s therapy, he is fully ‘swooning’ over Trina, for lack of better words. Even just shaking her hand, he says he’ll “probably faint” but he’s probably “doing better-than-the-norm restraint,” which I’m curious what he meant by that and what he must think the “norm restraint” is, since he’s LITERALLY JUST FUCKING SHAKING HER HAND IT ISN’T THAT HOT OR BOTHERING WHAT THE HELL. By the time he meets Jason, he admits he looks miserable and appreciates his uninspired attitude (seen in the sage cues/notes). Through the whole therapy session, Mendel doesn’t do anything to help Jason or really heart what he says, simply stopping him and telling him to “just be alright” and try to make the periods of being alright longer and longer. Jason even questions if this is what therapy is, which, spoiler alert, it really isn’t!! Mendel shows up so often that Marvin repeats “why is he always here?” several times throughout the song, showing how Mendel had to have been overstaying his visit, even if he’s giving Jason therapy, that doesn’t mean he should constantly be there enough for Marvin to question his frequency. Jason even realizes Mendel’s feelings towards Trina before anyone else, saying it’s “not his responsibility to ask” about Mendel and his intentions with Trina.
Mendel is now proposing to Trina, and one of the first things he says is that she’s “never near [him] enough to tell if [he’s] delightful or not.” If he’s PROPOSING to her, why would she not be close enough to tell if he’s delightful or whether he’s not. On top of how inappropriate of a relationship this is to have with your client, but he continues to go on in the marriage proposal, saying “I crave your wrist, I praise your thigh… I love your eyes, I love your face… Don’t touch your hair you’re perfect.” She then starts to cry, and Mendel probably assumes it’s out of joy, but you need to understand how confusing and overwhelming this must have been for Trina. She had started to break down and her family has been falling apart bit by bit. She gave into the idea, but most likely does not truly love him, only settling over him to take some control back in her life after her breakdown.
Tight knit family reprise, oh how I love you. Mendel says how his “acts of theft are incredibly perverse,” acts of theft being him ‘stealing’ Marvin’s family. Mendel mentions how his perverse actions are embarrassing, but he’s got a family now, even if he feels guilt or annoyance for his previous actions, which he probably doesn’t because Mendel is a P.O.S. Mendel says how he has power now, and Mervin retaliates calling him King of the Losers. That isn’t relevant I just think Marvin popped off a little there. Marvin and Mendel then go on to say how they’re “needy and wanting… greedy as swine,” which is reflected both in their actions and words. Mendel went and stole the family from Marvin because he saw the weakness and issues in the family and took his opportunity, even saying at the end how he got it all, while Marvin has always just wanted it all.
March of the Falsettos is the first time Mendel says something useful in my opinion. Jason asks if his father being gay means that he’s “a fairy,” which also is terminology for being gay. Mendel replies saying it’s a stupid theory, basically assuring Jason that just because his father is gay, doesn’t mean it’s genetic, something that Jason has wondered since the beginning of act 1.
Entering Trina and more of her messy feelings about Mendel. Trina’s song (Reprise) originally starts with Trina in Mendel’s clothes, something that I find an interesting detain in this section. We have seen that Trina has had doubts about this entire situation with Mendel, especially with how odd of a situation it really is. She’s trying to push her way through it and make her own decisions, which ultimately ended in her doubts with settling down with Mendel. She says, “As for doubts that I’ve been feeling, I’ll ignore them when I can.” Even after Mendel and Trina are planning to get married, she still has doubts about her decisions deciding to be with him but chooses to just ignore them and go with the decision she made to “try and get the things [she] need[s].” She’ll just fight Marvin and beat the odds by ‘having good sex,’ as if she believes that’s what will get her this happiness in her marriage with Mendel. Later, we find out that part of their life isn’t even very active, but by then she had gotten used to him and found some feeling for him. This will be discussed later in act 2.
In “Making a Home,” they finally start to make a family and a home. In the set of the revival, this is where new objects other than the block pieces are introduced for the home other than in breaking down. We see flowers, books, pillows, and more as their home starts to repair and heal from the damage caused by Marvin before. That’s something I really enjoyed about the revival set design and one of my favorite pieces of symbolism within the set. I’ll be geeking about that in another essay though.
They start with saying they want to fill the space and set the tone for a home and what it should feel like. I feel like this is when Mendel starts to change some, make himself seem lovely enough to be with and love. This also follows the path of manipulation I’ll discuss after act 1 and act 2. He mentions how he becomes a happy wife, but Trina follows up with how he decides the role for her to assume. More than likely she’s the one who decided for him to do this, but also could be manipulation tactic. Most of the song is just Mendel and Trina talking about their home and making it. Not long after Whizzer enters, while Mendel says “Loving our – lives,” Trina only said she liked her life. Not once in the musical so far has said she has loved Mendel.
By Marvin Hits Trina, Trina has gotten used to the idea of being with Mendel, and he becomes a somewhat decent character. Trina says how Mendel isn’t a maniac, how he’s sweet, and how he’s warm. Next, she mentions how he loves her. Yet again an instance of Trina not even loving him, but mentioning that she’s loved, which probably only matters to her due to the events of her last marriage. Marvin acts out so bad even Mendel says Marvin acts “untrained” and how he’s “ashamed,” as Jason watches. This makes Jason’s mind see Mendel as good, since he’s standing up for Trina with no question.
I feel like having a family changes Mendel to be more loving than lustful, and I wholeheartedly believe the end of act 1 is their lovey-dovey “honeymoon stage.” In “I Never Wanted to Love You,” he admits to Trina that he didn’t mean to love her as much as he did and says again how he loves her and loves their family.
The only thing to discuss in “Father to Son” about Mendel is how he changed Jason’s view of love, which is further discussed in act 2 and I already have a smaller post about.

Chapter One: Backup Plan
“If you don’t hear from me, by midnight I need you to open this envelope.” “And if I do hear from you?” “Burn it, like the others.”
Typically, when he left things like that, he did contact her before midnight. It was funny to her that he believed she had no idea what he was doing or where he was going. At first, it hadn’t been so obvious but over time it became clear. Possibly because she was an FBI agent and a profiler. Did he underestimate her ability to figure it out or was he with her because he was very much aware that she knew who he was and what he was doing. The fact that it turned her on even though it shouldn’t and she was just as aware as him that she’d never turn him in. They were in love and had been since well before he’d become the Jigsaw apprentice. Things had only gotten more intense since that point. It was never explicitly stated between them what he was involved in but that didn’t matter. He knew she knew. It was why sometimes when he returned home he still had blood on his clothes, his gloves that gripped her chin so firmly. Forcing eye contact to make sure she knew her place. Sending chills down her spine into her very core, leaving her unable to deny how much she wanted him. He knew that too.
That night, though, it felt different. The way he told her the instructions. Almost as if he knew that something wouldn’t go right. She wished he’d tell her more, or at least let her help. The thing was that not speaking of these things in detail gave her the plausible deniability she would need should he get caught. The first person they would go to was his wife. Much like they had gone after Jill Kramer. The less she knew, the better she’d be able to fake it when they came around to interrogate her. No matter what, she’d never throw him under the bus. It wasn’t that she was blind to what was wrong with the situation but she could see, through his eyes, why he did what he did. As someone who worked in law enforcement herself it was easier to justify handing out such punishments to criminals who had skirted the law and never learned the value of their lives or impact of their behavior.
She couldn’t pretend like there weren’t suspects, perpetrators, and guilty men and women she had to deal with every day who she’d like to see maimed in one of those traps. She’d insinuated as much when she could get away with it. While watching the news, making sure to mention to him that some people just deserved what they got. It was not the correct stance for her to take as an agent of the law but nor was it correct for him as a detective so at least they were on the same page.
As she sat there, the clock ticking down, she realized that he had not contacted her. No text on her phone. The one she had as a burner just for these messages from him. It hadn’t rang either. The midnight hour drew closer, and closer, and when the old clock in their penthouse chimed twelve she knew for the first time she was going to have to open that envelope. It was something that excited her as much as terrified her because she didn’t know what she would find. Obviously, she was the failsafe in all of this and since she was a forensic psychiatrist that also made her a medical doctor. He had her as a life preserver because she could preserve life. She’d treated his wounds before when he couldn’t properly seek care for them lest they raise suspicion with local hospitals as to how he’d gotten them. As an heiress, she had connections and money to buy or find anything he could need to treat and hide the injuries until he was good as new. They were a perfect team because between the two of them they could get rid of anything that they didn’t want seen.
From the hidden safe in the wall she removed the instructions packet and opened it up. There she found only one thing. GPS coordinates. There was no explanation otherwise. Though he was smart enough to know that she would be aware that this place that he wanted her to go to was dangerous. Not that it mattered, since she always carried her weapon with her now thanks to being an FBI agent. She punched the coordinates into the burner phone and came up with a location. A warehouse in the middle of nowhere just about. Outside of New York City where they lived, near some docks in New Jersey right across the bridge. As far as she could tell, the property had been previously owned by John Kramer. Hopefully, she wasn’t walking into a death trap, nor would she arrive to find Mark’s dead and dismembered body somewhere on the premises.
Tumblr media
“I may hurt you but I will never harm you, do you understand the difference?” He asked as she sat there, hands cuffed behind her back to the post of the bed that they shared. The concept of the dom/sub relationship was one she knew plenty about academically since she worked in sex crimes but she hadn’t put it into practice herself. They’d discussed it here and there but he knew more than she had. Especially that she was ready to start. “Look at me, Leila.” He put his fingers under her chin to lift her head up, forcing eye contact between them.
“I understand, sir.” She said, “Hurting means pain and temporary suffering but harm would be permanent and detrimental. I trust you not to harm me. I trust you with my life.”
“Are you sure about that?” He asked quickly pulling a knife from his pocket to flick the blade up and brandish it within her line of sight. “It could be a foolish decision if you aren’t absolutely sure of what you are saying.”
“I know what I am saying and I know what I want.” She confirmed. He smirked and licked his lips slowly. Bringing the blade down he started to cut away the buttons of her blouse one by one until it fell open, exposing her bra. Then he brought it back up to cut the bra between the cups, splitting it to reveal her breasts. Her heart fluttered in her chest. The adrenaline rush combined with the arousal and the idea that she was completely helpless to his every whim was overwhelmingly erotic. Slowly, he ran the blade over her right breast to where her heart would be positioning the tip there to press into the skin enough to cause pain but not actually pierce it.
“I could kill you, if I wanted.” He said.
“But that isn’t what you want.” She replied. He smirked, sliding the knife over her skin enough to leave a scratch but not a cut until he got it to her jugular, resting the blade there where she could feel just how sharp it was against the vital area.
“What I want is for you to never know what I may or may not do but trust that ultimately this is a game we play and you will not come out of it harmed. As I said before.” He moved the knife from her neck to her lips, pressing the flat of it there. She looked at him, kissing the metal that she was presented with. He laughed softly and folded the blade into the handle before slipping the knife back into his pocket.
“So you want me to be afraid?”
“In a sense, yes, but I want you to trust me as well. Expect the unexpected.” He smirked and then pulled her into a hungry kiss.
Tumblr media
She took care to be sure that no one had followed her where she was going. It wasn’t typical that anyone would follow her but she knew there were some eyes on Mark so that meant it was possible that people had eyes on her as well. When she pulled up to the place she found that it was indeed a warehouse. Hopefully, it was not one that involved any of John or Mark’s games. Though she could deal with dead bodies, gore, and mutilation since crime scenes were part of her everyday job, she did not want to leave any evidence that she’d been there. If that were the case. From her back pocket she pulled out a pair of gloves and slipped them on before grabbing onto the handle of the sliding door in front of her. Amazingly, it wasn’t locked, but she knew that potentially could mean bad news as well. She only opened it enough to look inside and then enter before shutting it again. The area was dark but not pitch black and in the back she could see a light, kind of in a corner.
Pulling her gun, she headed in that direction as quietly as possible, also making sure she wasn’t accidentally going to touch trip wires or step into a trap. This place had to be rigged with them. That much was obvious. She could see all sorts of things that would constitute as evidence from all of the Jigsaw games. When she got closer to the one light that was on she looked through one of the nearby mirrors to see if she could spot anyone in the room as she paused and held her breath. There was a groan and she turned her head towards it. In the corner she saw Mark holding a blood soaked wad of fabric tightly to his face. Holstering her gun, she hurried towards him and got down by his side.
“Mark, what the hell happened?” She asked. He looked at her, his eyes kind of glossy. There was no way he hadn’t lost a lot of blood but he was still conscious so that was good news in itself. Slowly, he pulled the fabric away from his face to show her that half of his cheek was split open. “Shit. We need to fix this.” He nodded, it was clear why he hadn’t called out to her when she’d arrived she doubted he could do much but groan and scream in that condition. She hurried to look through the warehouse to find something that could stitch his face up. The sooner the better. If he showed up at a hospital like that then he’d be caught immediately. There weren’t any real medical supplies in there, not any that would help with this specific injury but she did manage to find fishing wire and a hook. She could close up the wound and worried about infection later. It wasn’t like it would be hard to get antibiotics. Bringing the supplies over to him she got down and threaded the line through the hook.
“This is going to hurt a lot, but it will save your life. I can get you antibiotics after if you need them.” She said as she reached to pull his hand away from his face again. He let out a small groan and almost the moment she touched the hook to his skin he yanked away. “Mark, this has to be done now and…what happened to your hand?” She had only just noticed that it was broken, she could see bone.
“I can do it.” He said, or more accurately she was sure that’s what he meant to say with a huge flesh wound in the side of his face. If he had survived this far he probably could stitch up his own face, she didn’t doubt that.
“It will be faster if-”
“I’ll do it.” He snatched the hook away from her and very carefully got to his feet. She sighed, knowing there was no way to stop him from doing something he was determined to do himself. He hobbled over to the mirror she had been looking into before and pulled the lamp closer to it. Then he took in a deep breath and started to stitch up the wound in his face.
Tumblr media
“Do you have any idea what I’m going to do to you now?” He asked. This was after she’d been blindfolded in such a way that she couldn’t see anything. Usually, when people messed around with blindfolds there was a lot of room for error. Letting light in or the ability to look down and see shadows. She wasn’t surprised that he knew what he was doing when it came to this sort of thing. “Answer me.”
“Anything you want.” She replied, “Master.”
“That’s a good girl.” He chuckled darkly and patted her on the cheek. She sensed movement around her, first on the bed shifting and then some kind of fabric around her neck. It wasn’t rope, it was something else. Perhaps one of his ties. The weight of the bed shifted again and she was still left sitting there with her arms handcuffed behind one of the posts. There was a pause and she heard a click then felt the cuffs release. There was no moment to recover from this as she was immediately yanked down and out of the bed by the tie around her neck. She yelped as she fell to the floor, with hardly any time to brace for impact. Somehow, she did manage to catch herself but just barely. “Quick thinking, I like that.”
“Thank you, sir.” She replied. The makeshift leash was tugged on again forcing her to crawl forward a bit then another sharp tug indicated that she needed to stop. She could hear him as he walked around behind her then felt his hands on her hips as he shoved her skirt up to reveal her panties. There was the swish of the blade from the knife popping up and the sensation of cold metal against her inner thighs. She gasped, shivered, and groaned softly as he started to cut the fabric of them away.
“My pleasure is your pleasure, your pain is my pleasure, anything I want is for me. Anything you are rewarded with, is just that. You have to earn things here, understood?” He asked then without much warning gave her a rough slap across the ass. She squealed and then nodded her head.
“Yes, sir.”
“You’re a faster learner. I wonder what else I can teach you.” He said, sounding very amused as she felt his fingers between her legs moving over the wet folds of her cunt. She groaned, knowing she was far more aroused than she should have been given the situation. He continued to tease her perfectly, as if he were playing an instrument that he was a master of. Working her closer and closer to climax before pulling his hand back to give her ass another slap. This was done in such an oddly timed way that she could never predict it and threatened to drive her insane. She didn’t know how long he had kept it up before she lost enough control to scream.
“Please!” She yelled, “Sir…please…”
“Do you even know what you are begging for?” He asked, “Fucking tell me what you want, Princess.” She whined and lowered her head, it was humiliating and so very fucking hot to hear him speak to her like that. She licked her lips slowly and took in a deep breath through her nose, letting it out through her mouth.
“Your cock, sir.”
“And what do you want me to do with it?”
“I…I want you to fuck me with it.”
“Why?”
“For your pleasure, I…I’m your naughty little fuck toy and I’m only here to serve you.” She breathed, her heart pounding in her chest.
“That’s what I like to hear.” He chuckled and gave her ass another slap. From behind her, she sensed more movement until she could feel the tip of his cock rubbing against her cunt, teasing and touching in all the right places. As she was about to yell out again for him to just hurry up he thrust into her and she moaned loudly. She’d have collapsed forward except for the fact that he had grabbed the tie around her neck and yanked back, keeping her upright lest she wanted to choke. From there he started to pound into her with reckless abandon. Every so often the fabric around her neck would restrict her airflow then release again. When she could draw breath all she could do was let it out as a moan. He’d never been so primal and dominant with her before, they’d dabbled in it sure but it hadn’t gotten this far. She knew she was already addicted to this and would never want it any other way. “Are you going to cum for me? Huh? You naughty little girl…”
“Y-Yes…Yes, sir…” She panted, when he allowed her the air to do so.
“Go on then, cum all over my cock.” He growled. She moaned again, her eyes rolling back in pleasure as his words triggered her climax. He moaned then as well, almost louder than her. The walls seemed to shake with the passion of it and she could nearly feel it vibrating through her as she hit her second climax then a third. Suddenly, the leash around her neck was released. She fell forward, unable to keep her weight up any longer. Then he was on top of her, pulling her close to him as he moved them both onto their side. She could do nothing but lay there basking in the afterglow of her orgasm feeling the rapid beat of his heart against her back. She silently hoped she’d never have to face a moment where such a motion ceased to exist when his blood would eventually run cold.
Tumblr media
“You did a good job.” She said, once he was finished working on his face. It was quite impressive actually. Using just that dirty old mirror and some fishing line. She didn’t think she could have done it to herself even if it also meant the choice between life or death. “I have a first aid kit in my car. I can use that to see what I can do about your hand.”
“Be quick,” He said, “I don’t suppose you brought any painkillers with you.”
“Nothing heavier than tylenol but you know we are well stocked at home.” She stroked the side of his face that wasn’t injured and stood up. “Why did you need me to come here, this does seem like something you could have handled on your own.”
“I could have.” He said, reaching out to take her hand with his good one. He gave it a squeeze, “But that had nothing to do with it.”
“Then what else could it be?”
“Things didn’t go exactly according to plan and I’m going to need your help.” He replied, “Get the first aid kit. I'll explain more when you get back.” She nodded, knowing that his immediate care took priority over something he could explain after. If he seemed to think there was time to sit and talk she wasn’t worried about that before making sure he was stable and in as good of health as he possibly could be. As she exited the warehouse again, to get to her car, the gravity of the situation hit her. She had to pause for a moment, catch her breath, and try to stifle the tears that were threatening to fall. In all of this time, though she’d seen him injured, she had never seen him come as close to death as that. She’d also never in her wildest dreams expected for him to say anything about his plans not going as he’d devised them. How bad was it that he wanted her involved? She didn’t know. What she did know was that if someone had done this to him with the intent to end his life, she wanted revenge. Possibly even more than he believed he did at that moment.

Could Cyprus be made a better dad if we forced him to see a psychiatrist? Because to be honest I love him, but it is clear that we will have problems because I have anger issues and I will not be able to handle his personality sometimes and when we had a kid I will never allow him to treat my child harshly, Would it scare him if I threatened to separate if he does not allow me to help him solve his problems? Or is there another better way to talk to him?
I feel like there is only one scenario for me with him: first I slowly discover how his mind works and his problems and then I try to help him, in every possible way because I want to try everything before I completely lose hope in him because I love like that, if he listens to me we will be happy (I feel that this could work and that he would listen to me if I reciprocated his initiatives, and behaved with him like any normal, loving girlfriend would) and if he doesn't -Things will become ugly because I know he won't let me walk out the door just like that😭
Honestly characters like him hurt me a lot and I pity them a lot because I know they are like this because of problems caused to them by people in their childhood and when they were adults, no one showed a healthy interest in him. like his exes: They all wanted something from him but they didn't want him for him, they didn't care what kind of influence they had on him, No one cared to talk to him about his psychological wounds, His trauma shaped his mentality, and I want to be the first person to help him, or at least try!
tw: afab reader, cyprus is a bigot
Well, the problem is that he doesn't believe that there is anything wrong with him. You could successfully drag him to a psychiatrist by threatening to leave, but he would simply pretend that he's listening to the one trying to talk to him. Meanwhile, his mind is thinking about eating your cunt out for dinner.
If he's being prescribed medication, he will pretend to take them, but throw them out when you or your kid isn't looking.
Cyprus is stubborn, strongly opinionated, and unwilling to change his views unless he experiences the prejudices himself. This is unlikely, as he is a straight, cis male who never had any doubts about his sexual or gender identity.
But there is still hope, though. Fully understanding his brain and how his logic operates before moving on to try and better him would work, but you would essentially need to be just a level below Yves to pull that off. It does help that Cyprus values your feelings somewhat; he definitely considered it more important than your child's.
He doesn't like to see his wife frowning and stressed, hence you could use that as your leverage. You will need a lot of time, patience, and empathy to merely scratch the surface of his mind fortress. Which to the majority, isn't worth all the effort just to make Cyprus tolerate certain populations of the world. But at least he wouldn't sever ties with his flesh and blood just because they're not born into the right body.
However, deep down, he hasn't let go of the hatred and bitterness in his heart. He's only doing this for you.

AUs where the characters have completely different jobs, or are situated in a completely different setting, are always a hard sell for me, but I think especially so with Hannibal. Because the characters on that show just seem so defined by their jobs?
Like, I can't imagine a Will Graham who doesn't go into law enforcement, because that's so wrapped up in his entire moral outlook and his need to pursue justice to make up for his darker impulses. Who even is Will without his film noir investigator-style personal entanglement in murders? Like, you can imagine him as just repressing his violent impulses and trying to live a normal life, but... that just doesn't seem like Will to me. His self-martyrdom, his engagement with the very thing that makes his life worse and intensifies his internal struggles, is just so much a part of his personality, to me. There's a reason why his attempt to detach himself completely from solving crimes was only temporary - and he wasn't just lured back into the fold because he wanted to see Hannibal, it was because he couldn't stand to know people were being hurt in ways he could help alleviate, and just stand back. That need to be involved (and thus to contend with the worst parts of himself) are just essential to Will Graham, imo.
And with Hannibal, his main MO is influence. Curiosity about how people will react, how far they can be pushed. He doesn't just kill, he plays around in people's heads. What better way to reflect that than psychiatry?
And with the side characters it's even more pronounced for me, because their characterization is much more based in their professions than Will and Hannibal's. Alana's personal struggles are very much wrapped up in her role as a psychiatrist. Jack's need to save people, juxtaposed with his inability to save his wife and his feeling the need to sacrifice the people closest to him for the greater good, is pretty much his central attribute. There's no version of Freddie Lounds who wouldn't be a journalist, for me. Mason Verger's business is both symbolically important and essential to establishing his vulgarity and excess relative to Hannibal's refinement and discernment. Etc.
Which I guess is to say it's hard for me to grasp the appeal of AUs that change all that context. Like, it's an interesting intellectual exercise to imagine what elements of a character are "essential" to them, and which would be more prominent or subdued depending on context. But I'd personally just much rather read the meta version of that, in most cases, than read a story that feels fairy removed from the established context that drew me to the canon.

I had to let go of you just to get a hold of myself part 5
Tumblr media
Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin x f!reader
I had to let go of you just to get a hold of myself masterlist
Jake finds himself the next day in the waiting room at Dr. Jackson’s office. He can’t stop his leg from bouncing. He’s never felt this anxious before going into a session. He’s also never had to do a recap of the previous day’s couples session before.
Jake looks up when his name is called and follows Tim into his office and sits down in the chair across from Tim’s.
“How do you think yesterday went?” Tim asks him once he’s seated.
How the hell should Jake know? He’s not a psychiatrist. He has no idea about any of this stuff. Isn’t that why he’s here?
Jake shrugs, “I guess it went okay. She didn’t cry or yell at me. I kinda expected both.”
“Why did you expect that?” Tim asks.
“Well for all intents and purposes I left her. I left my wife. I know I did. I didn’t mean to leave her but it was the easiest choice and so that’s the one I took.”
Tim jots something down in his notes and looks back up at Jake, “Okay so you left her. Why did you expect her to scream and cry though?”
“Isn’t that what women do when their man leaves them?” Jake asks.
“You wanna play stereotypes now?” Tim asks jokingly. “If you want to play that game then who did you leave your wife for? Because that’s what everyone probably thinks happened.”
Jake grumbles, “I get your point.”
“Your wife showed incredible restraint yesterday and you should be proud of her. I am. I could tell when the video first started she looked like she was going to cry.”
“She’s not a crier. Never has been. Usually if she cries then something is really, really wrong,” Jake explains.
“Says the man who expected his wife to cry,” Tim snickers.
“Ya know what?” Jake says with a laugh.
“Okay, okay. Back on topic. How are you feeling after the session?” Tim asks.
“Okay I guess. Seeing her hurt. Really bad. Pretending she didn’t exist was the way I think I coped with it all and seeing her made it real. Like I know I left her but if I just pretended she wasn’t real then I didn’t hurt anybody but I did. I know I did. Seeing her made it real and I am so fucking sorry I ever did that.”
“Good.”
“What?” Jake asks confused.
“You should feel sorry. I’m not going to sugar coat this for you. You messed up, Jake. You messed up big time and you can’t take it back. That’s not how it works. You can only move on and do better. Remember how sorry you feel right now and use it to do better. Really hone in on that feeling and keep it in the back of your mind all the time. You’re making a conscious effort to do better and the only way you can do that is by acknowledging that you did a shitty job before,” Tim explains.
Jake nods, “Okay so now what happens?”
“Now you continue to put in the work.”
“Then that’s it? I’m cured or whatever?” Jake asks.
“Not sure what you think you needed cured from,” Tim says shaking his head. “There was never anything wrong with you. You weren’t handling your emotions appropriately. Now you work on what you can do to change that. You learn appropriate coping mechanisms. You learn communication techniques. That’s what this is all for. So you can be a functioning adult, Jake.”
“I thought I was?” Jake says confused.
“Functioning adults don’t run away from their wives for years at a time and then don’t pretend to be themselves,” Tim says raising an eyebrow at Jake.
“You didn’t have to point it out like that,” Jake grumbles.
“I did. Gotta get it through your thick skull somehow.”
“It’s a normal skull thank you very much!” Jake says laughing.
“I’m not so sure. I’d have to ask your mama. Speaking of which. Have you thought anymore on reaching out to your family besides your wife?”
“I kinda wanted to make sure we had a better relationship first. I don’t want to take away her support system,” Jake explains.
“That’s very noble of you. I’m sure its hard having the same support system,” Tim says.
“But we don’t. Just because they’re my family doesn’t mean they’re my support system. They’re my wife’s. My support system is here. They’re my team. I don’t need to take her’s. I have my own.”
“That is true but don’t think just because they’re your wife’s support system they aren’t still your family.”
“I know they are. Right now I would just rather focus on my wife more though. She’s who I want back the most. My family will come. It’ll be much easier to talk to them when they don’t hate me for breaking Y/N’s heart.”
“Do you actually think they hate you?” Tim asks.
Jake shakes his head, “No, if anything it’s worse. My parents are probably disappointed in me. They raised me better. I’d probably let my dad kick my ass at this point. My brother-in-law probably wants to. He slipped into the big brother role easily for my wife when her parents kicked her out.”
“Is that Catherine’s husband or Lauren’s?”
“Catherine’s. I don’t know if Lauren is married. When I left she and her steady boyfriend were having a baby girl but I don’t know much past that,” Jake says with a shrug.
Tim hums and jots some things down in his notebook, “Have you thought about what story you’re going to tell for your homework?”
“No. I was trying to think of one before I fell asleep last night but nothing really came to mind. I’m sure I’ll think of something though.”
“Be sure that you do. Wouldn’t want your wife to get a better grade than you,” Tim says with a chuckle.
“Wouldn’t be the first time. She’s always been smarter than me. Smarter than I’ll ever be,” Jake says honestly.
“Has that ever been a problem for you?” Tim asks.
“Oh God no! I love that she’s smarter than me. I love everything about her. I don’t think I realized how much I loved her still until yesterday. I missed her ,of course, but I didn’t realize how much until I saw her. It’s like I woke up for the first time in years and then the realization hit that she’s not here with me and it hurt like hell and I can’t keep living like this,” Jake said as he got up and paced around the room.
“Well we’re working towards you not living like that but it’ll take time,” Tim says with a sigh.
Jake sighs too and sits back down, “I know. I know.”
“Good. Well Jake, our time is up for today but I’ll see you next week. Make sure you think about your homework,” Tim says standing up and walking to the office door.
Jake nods and follows Tim to the door, “I will. See you.” Jake sighs and leaves. He heads out of the office building to his truck. A lot of things running around in his head.
He checks his phone and sees Bob had texted him asking him if he wanted to come over and hang out. He shoots Bob a text back and heads to his house.
When Jake gets there and rings the doorbell he’s met with a squeal of his name and a tiny figure throwing the door open before jumping into his arms excitedly.
“Hello there, munchkin!” Jake says laughing and setting Fiona on his hip.
“Hi Untle Jay! I miss you!” She says wrapping her arms around him.
“I missed you too, princess. Did you have a fun day at preschool today?” Jake asks her walking into the house and waving at Bob who is sitting on the couch wearing a princess crown and holding a tiny cup and saucer.
Fiona hides her face in Jake’s side and mumbles something.
“Baby girl, I didn’t understand a thing you just said,” Jake says sitting down on the couch near Bob and setting Fiona on his lap.
“Thomas kick me at center time so I pushed him and got in trouble,” Fiona mumbled.
Jake looks over at Bob who is trying not to laugh then looks back at Fiona, “Well Fi we can’t be putting our hands on our friends at school. That’s not nice.”
“But he’s not my fwiend!” She says with a pout.
“But that doesn’t mean we can push him! If he kicked you what are you supposed to do?” Bob asks.
“I’m sposed to tell a teacher,” Fiona grumbles.
“Right! And then if he keeps kicking you tell Uncle Jake and he’ll beat up his dad,” Jake loudly whispers to Fiona who giggles.
“Otay!” She says and hops off Jake’s lap and comes back soon after with a cup and saucer for him and hands it to him.
He takes it and thanks her with a grin.
“So Jake how was your session yesterday? I didn’t see you much today to ask,” Bob says to Jake.
“It was fine. Hard. Just seeing her made it hard. Made it real. I couldn’t pretend I hadn’t hurt her anymore. It was plain to see on her face. I didn’t realize how much I hurt myself either. It was kinda like when you’re little and you hold it all together until you see your mom and then you lose it. I wanted to just break down and plead for her to forgive me,” Jake says with a sigh and takes a pretend sip of his pretend tea to appease his pseudo niece.
“That does sound hard. You still glad you’re doing this?” Bob asks taking a pretend sip of his own.
Jake nods while watching Fiona look through her bins of toys.
Fiona finds something and walks over to Jake. It’s a tube of some sort. She opens it and squeezes some of whatever it is onto her hand and starts rubbing it on his face.
“Untle Jay you so pretty now,” Fiona says with a smile.
He chuckles and thanks her. Bob winks at him, “Yeah princess, you made Uncle Jake so pretty very sparkly.”
Jake groaned, “It’s never coming off is it?”
Bob laughs, “Nope.”

Hello Edna and Harvey fans & all interested parties, here I present to you my made up fan-lore for Edna’s mom (and her dynamics with other characters and all that). Also featuring some supplemental artwork.
Warning in advance it’s very long, but it’s split into sections and has pictures so hopefully it’s bearable. Have fun…
Sketch page from May 2022
Tumblr media
So this is my character for Edna’s mom, her name is Ana.
My main idea for her was that, in contrast to Mattis’s sort of helpless attitude about parenting, she was the more assertive parent. Not necessarily mean or strict, but she had more self confidence and experience working with children, and overall gave the impression that she “knew what she was doing”, at least from her husband's perspective.
This leads into her passing being not only a major blow for her family for obvious reasons, but also because Mattis wasn’t ready to be a single parent and never really adapted to the role. He was very stressed all the time and part of that came from feeling extremely inferior in his capabilities of being a father, with pressure from his neighbor/friend who seemed to have the most perfectly behaved kid(s) (ah yes the perfect family nothing to see here), and from his belief that his wife would’ve made a better single parent than him. That’s not necessarily the truth, as it would’ve been hard for anyone, but that was his perception of it.
I’ll now go into outlining her individual personality and her relationship with her family:
Physical description:
Appearance Timeline:
Tumblr media
(Note on her Birth Year: My whole e&h timeline is based around the assumption that Brich Aus takes place in 2008; so Edna was born in ~1990 and Mattis was born in ~1957, give or take a year. This also therefore means Mattis and anyone his age is a boomer (heartbreaking).)
Name- Ana is a name I picked for no specific reason. I don’t know why I used that spelling instead of Anna but I did, and I’m used to it now, but if you prefer Anna it also works.
I didn’t pick a maiden name yet, so for now she only exists as Ana Konrad. DOCTOR Konrad actually but we’ll get to that.
Appearance- Ana looks very much like her daughter; they have the same eyes and complexion and hair (albeit different styles). I think the more “realistic” you try to make Edna and Harvey the more confusing it gets, so yeah their purple hair is genetic and natural and not specific to Edna (I mean it’s not like she could dye it in the hospital anyway). I just think of it as regular dark hair in their universe.
Personality:
In terms of personality, Ana was very goal-oriented. She was calmer and more collected than Edna, but just as determined to do whatever she set her mind to. She liked reading and writing more than Edna, but much like Edna she was always rather lonely no matter how outgoing she was. Their circumstances were different, but both Edna and her mom were kind of socially outcast growing up.
I’ll go more into her time at school in a later section, but when going to Uni her choice was to study psychology, and eventually be a child psychiatrist. Which might seem random but LISTEN… I think the idea of her being a psychiatrist with a completely different mindset from Marcel’s is a fun one, and it sorta adds to the tragedy of “man, if only someone could’ve stopped this” when it comes to how Mattis bought into Marcel’s ideology. And it adds another layer as to why Mattis trusts in unstable hypothetical science so much more than himself or his own daughter. And overall, I think she is a “strong-headed professional” just by personality, and being a doctor makes her seem far more impressive or competent than Mattis (especially from his perspective).
As a kid, Ana loved climbing trees. She and Mattis spent a lot of time there as kids. She also loved to sing and dance, things she probably did less and less as she got older.
Being that they lived next to a church in a small town, it seems to be that the Konrads were at least a bit religious (and in the audio book they mention Edna threw a Bible in the basement fireplace). I haven’t really thought about how that might play into their lives, but I like the angle that Mattis became more religious / started going to church after his wife died. (Edna meanwhile is not religious—too many arbitrary rules for her.)
Relationship with neighbors:
Tumblr media
Ana was definitely more suspicious of Marcel when they first moved next to him than her husband was. Not that she assumed he was evil or anything, but she was a bit worried about how he was parenting his kids. Ana found the kids’ behavior more concerning than “exemplary”. But she chalked it up to Marcel having a hard time adjusting after his wife left and didn’t really investigate; she wasn’t around for the whole “we should brainwash kids to make them behave better” era, that happened later. She probably just vaguely distrusted him.
I like to imagine she hung out with Ruben if the neighbors came over too. Kind of like how Mattis would end up “babysitting” Edna and Alfred later on a lot, maybe she’d play cards with him or something and inadvertently create a more positive experience than anything Marcel ever did. Ruben needs someone in his life looking out for him…unfortunately this arrangement didn’t last long.
Relationship with Edna’s dad:
Tumblr media
Ana and Mattis were childhood sweethearts; I imagine they met in high school and started dating near the end of it, so maybe the final year before university. But they were friends before that too.
Basically, their dynamic as kids was “trouble maker” and “kid who gets good grades but is also a trouble maker”. I like the idea that in contrast to his adult personality, Mattis was a lot more like Edna as a kid; he was still always a bit timid, but he had a rebellious phase where he wanted to stick it to the authorities and lash out more. At this point in his adolescence, he got into trouble a lot, and it wasn’t until Uni that he really changed himself around. (However, ironically, instead of being able to sympathize with his daughter when she started acting out later, he could only envision all the bad things that might happen to her as a consequence of her behavior and it made him all the more stressed to find a way to “fix” her.)
Ana, however, wasn’t quite so rebellious and did well at school. She felt the same way on the inside, though, and the two found kinship in wanting to “run away from it all” and escape pressure from family/peers. They would hang out on tree branches and throw rocks at people they didn’t like, but Ana still avoided anything that might get her in serious trouble.
Tumblr media
But basically, dumb kids doing shenanigans. Ana didn’t think Mattis was particularly smart for vandalizing property and getting detention, but she also didn’t think less of him for it. Perhaps she had the “oh I can fix him” mindset, but mostly she was admiring his dedication.
But when it was time to go to university they decided to break up, since they’d be moving apart. They were sad about it, but they both moved along and figured they’d never see eachother again.
…That was, until they met again sort of randomly as adults years later.
Tumblr media
This was probably 4 or more years after they’d started Uni; Ana was still in school and was a bit too busy for a serious relationship but they stuck together anyway and ended up dating again. This ended up working out, and they eventually got married. (Apparently it isn’t that uncommon to marry even while pursuing a doctorate, but I haven’t picked what year they got married. Shrug)
(Note about psychiatric education lmao- from what I can tell, it takes at least 6 years of medical school and an additional 5 years of full-time employment to become board-certified psychiatrist. Assuming Ana started university when she was 18, she was at least 30 when she got her doctor's degree.)
(Also, I can imagine being a woman pursuing a doctorate in the 80s wasn’t that common or easy, and I thought about her just being a psychologist instead since that takes half the amount of time. However have you considered the THEMATIC PARALLELS the IRONY of it all… Edna’s mom was a doctor and it’s funnier that way.)
Mattis and his wife would definitely be at odds sometimes because of the difference in their personalities. I think the dynamic would provide interesting conflict & they’d work it out.
Parenting:
So I suppose the big question is, how would Ana have affected Edna’s life had she lived longer?
Tumblr media
I think the loss of her mother contributed heavily to Edna’s childhood rebelliousness. Not that she wouldn’t have had behavioral issues or struggled with making friends anyway, but I think she became so dependent on her own subconscious / on Harvey as a result of loneliness; evidence from the comic can back this up. In the comic, Edna is very withdrawn and more timid pre-Harvey, and Harvey’s eventual personality seems to be highly influenced by Freya - Edna’s close friend who coped with her own struggles by rebelling instead of following all the rules. Seeing as both girls also had a missing mother figure (again, WHO DOESN'T IN THIS SERIES), I don’t think it’s a stretch to imagine Edna started feeling alone in the world when her mother passed.
But tangent aside, I don’t think Ana would’ve necessarily had an easier time with Edna than Mattis, but with the crucial difference that she wouldn't have been so easily influenced by others opinion on her parenting (eg Marcel). Anyone has insecurities, but listening to someone else basically say “your kid should get brainwashed” and thinking “mmmm maybe” is a very concerning state of mind.
Ana would have been frustrated and would have got impatient. She would have wanted Edna to “act normal” but she might have been more adept at figuring out WHY she was acting out. But meanwhile, I also think that being a doctor, there would have been tension in the fact that Ana saw “patients” and her daughter as entirely separate; thinking, Edna couldn’t be as mentally ill as the people she worked with…there must be a different answer…
But as a little kid, Edna got along just fine with her mom. They played together and did puzzles and ran in the sprinklers and mud and everything like that. Maybe even played with stuffed animals pretending that they could talk.
Rip 💀
Tumblr media
So: death. For the record I think the trope of “main character’s mom died” isn’t very intriguing or creative (and I mean. Do you know any e&h characters with a mom? any of them? Exactly.) However, it isn’t even brought up by Edna in the game at all, and the “show not tell” aspect is a bit cool at least. (It isn’t even until the “yo mama” joke in the 2nd game that Edna is pointed out as an orphan. Her memory got washed and all so she didn’t even think of her mom when looking through her old house.) And if we were to ignore poki’s character profile website, yes, it’s also equally as plausible that Edna’s mom left rather than died. BUT personally I prefer this version because I already wrote this whole thing lol (and anyway, I think Marcel’s wife for sure left him, and we don’t want to get too repetitive).
But how did she die??…I haven’t really picked an answer to that.
If we’re looking for story parallels, medical malpractice or even being MURDERED might work, but I just don’t really know. Maybe it’s a let-down, but I’m indecisive, sorry  🤷
Ana became sort of idolized in death by Mattis especially, since Edna couldn't properly remember her as time went on.
Bit of a tangent, but I think a lot of self doubt and insecurity and general depression contributed to Mattis being lost about parenting—with the fact that Edna was intentionally acting out, fighting against something she saw as intrinsically opposed to her. In the 1st tempomorph Edna “sees” through Harvey that her dad is betraying her and eating ice cream with Alfred- this is her imagination, but it shows her perception of her father as a kid, that he wasn’t looking out for her. I think it’s clear Mattis cared about his daughter but he was just unable to rise above his own insecurities and be there for her. (I also think he went a teensy bit off-the-rails when the Murder happened and that’s partially why he pleaded guilty. Guy broke down). After all, his wife wouldn’t have ever let Edna act so uncontrollably if she were alive, would she?
That’s it
Thanks for reading all that if you did!! Hope reading about shit I made up was entertaining. I might do this again with other characters for funsies at some point in the distant future, we’ll see.
She isn’t even a character I spend too much time thinking about, so I figured this would be a good way to practice organizing my thoughts. And draw her some more since it’d been a while. It was fun.
Let me know your thoughts/impressions of her…
& goodbye 👋

This isn’t about history but Lacho head canons 👀
okay so uh uhm uhm okay uhm
It's kinda obvious that Lalo's love language is giving gifts (Hector with that annoying ass bell and Don Eladio's goofy frunk car) but I feel like Nacho would hate receiving them. He just feels like the kinda guy thats gifted something and either starts fucking perspirating because HE didn't get something for the other person or simply because he doesn't want... more, yk? The man's had enough of more but he takes it anyway bc they're LITERALLY IN LOVE OMG GUYS!!!!!!
And okay yes I love soft lacho but boy let's be honest... Lalo doesn't really give a shit. I think, based on trying to look at his behavior psychologically, he's devoid of most feeling and likes toying around with other people to see their emotional reactions, which is albeit usually... negative, because he's curious (i picture a dog attacking a smaller animal, wanting to play with it but just ending up hurting the shit out of it😭😭) to see the responses he himself doesn't experience or some shit like that idk man I'm not a psychiatrist but he's clearly not all there. Anyway, if lacho were, say, REAL real, then I think Lalo would do a lot of hurt to Nacho (more than he had already done canonically), simply because Lalo's empty, and Nacho's not, and Lalo wants a part of it/to see it happen. He's also just a sadist psycho.
But then Nacho always comes back for more either cuz he feels he deserves it or he thinks theres nothing better for him or there's some fucked up part of him that just wants it to happen too
But for funny haha lacho i literally just see Nacho as a stressed out wife trying to hold on to his husband's leash it's canon too don't tell me it's not😭😭
Unrelated but Lalo's 1000 charisma sweet talking manipulation gaslighter skills holy shit OIGJIUHHO😩😩
I wish I could say more but I am so afraid that if I come up with a headcanon that isn't creative enough I will get shot in the back of the head... don't ask... I just know it's gonna happen

i wrote this for a creative writing class so now you can have it. also my professor DOES know my tumblr. hi
CW:
To start off, the story - no the account - I am about to tell you is in no way a confession of guilt or a weight off my conscience but I need to know I'm not crazy or-or alone. I have to tell someone what happened at the Porter house..
The Porters live in a classic two story house just on the other side of town. They have… had two small children, Whitney and Jackson. Their lives were normal? I suppose? As average as they could get there.
Mr. Porter was a bastard of a man. He had rotting anger inside of him that he had slowly let consume over the past few years. Now, he never showed his anger, not to his wife and not to his kids but Mrs. Porter knew, and if she knew, the children knew. Eggshells were always walked on around their father, you could tell those kids did not fear him but certainly did fear what he could do if he ever stopped muzzling his anger.
I don't know if they ever saw, but I suppose they must have… sometimes when I would go out to get the morning paper or just to get a breath of air I could see him. Just staring. Not at anyone or anything in particular anytime, no. The subject of his gaze shifted with every day that I saw this, sometimes it was his wife… other times it was his kids. Sometimes it was a squirrel and once… it was me. He would stare with an unbroken gaze for minutes (hours?) at a time. Nothing would even happen for him to go back to normal, he just… did. Carried on like nothing else happened.
I’m not the only one who could feel it. This… off feeling to Mr. Porter and his house. You walked by and you felt depressed. Even without knowing what they were like, the house was sad. I bought my house at a lower price than anything on the market because the realtor couldn't sell it no matter what they did. I wasn't thrilled about this gloomy aura that followed me around the block but… I’m a college student who couldn't afford anything else.
Anyways, Mrs Porter was a fine woman, she was friendly but she was sad. But one day, Mrs Porter discovered she was pregnant. All the neighbors got these little flyers taped to their door announcing it. I didn't even know they were wanting a third child. Could they even afford it? Regardless, Mr. Porter began working on the nursery. He worked on this damn room day and night. I live on the other side of the street and I couldn't sleep at night from all the hammering.
Mrs. Porter started to show up less though. I thought that maybe the pregnancy was getting the better of her. I mean, she was an older woman, and the pregnancy might have just been a little harder on her now. But days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months. That damn nursery still hadn't been finished and Mrs Porter was nowhere to be seen. The hammering now just had become a customary part of life, something I only noticed when I was trying to work or study. Other than that, it blended it with the other mundane sounds of life.
It was only at my neighbor's barbeque - Cher. A sweet guy who I honestly have considered asking out two or three times. Anyways at this barbeque I mentioned the Porters and how if he knew anything about the nursery or has heard anything from Mrs Porter. Cher gave me… this weird look. Half way between concern and pity. He asked if I had been sleeping well. I laughed at this and said “Obviously I haven't been sleeping well. There’s a man hammering together a room throughout the night.” Cher didn’t laugh though. He told me I should go talk to them and then wrote down the number to his psychiatrist. Pleasant.
I didn't think much of it, Cher lived two houses down, I mean, maybe he just didn't hear the incessant hammering throughout the night like I did. But I did take up his advice, so I went over to Porter's house the next day. Now, I don't know why but knocking on that door made me more anxious than I had felt in a while. Every knock took a considerable amount of effort but eventually, someone answered.
It was little Whitney. I asked her where her mother and father were. She looked at me confused, so I asked if I could speak with her father. She shook her head and went to get him. Waiting there, at that house, it felt like I was being watched. I mean neighborhoods like that tend to be very nosy so maybe I was being watched - but this, this felt wrong.
Eventually, Mr. Porter came to the door. He was wearing the exact same clothes he had been wearing the last time I saw him. I asked him how he was, how the nursery was coming along and how Mrs. Porter was. He gave me fairly generic answers of courtesy but paused when I asked about his wife. He offered to go and get her. I told him it was not a problem if she was in too much pain to walk. He laughed at this. Told me “We only just found out a few days ago. She’s more than fine to walk.” he walked away with that - presumably to get his wife - but he left the door wide open. I just stood there… had it really only been a few days? That can't be right. I had gone through an entire semester's worth of classes by this point, there was no way it had just been a few days.
Mr. Porter eventually came back and asked to borrow my phone, noting that his had died. I didn't even think about what he was asking before my phone was in his hand. He dialed a number - I, I don't know what the number is. I’ve tried calling it numerous times, but it just goes to a deadline. - he spoke on the phone for a little bit, giving his address and the name of his wife before handing the phone back to me. I asked him what it was. He said he had called the police. I asked him why. “Ms. Porter isn't here.” he said. He went back into his house without a word being said. He told his children what had happened. They both just looked at him. Whitney and Jackson did not cry. I don't know if they were just too shocked to cry or if they just… didn't. I just stood there, looking into this house and… I could swear I heard the hammering start again. Eventually the police arrived, they questioned Mr. Porter who didn't really have much to give, they talked to the kids, who were quiet. And they talked to me, who was as helpful as I could be with my now warped perception of time.
“He’s been in the house. With the children.” I told the officer. I think about it now, and I don't think in those days… months? That I ever saw him or any of his family leave his house. Not that I was looking too closely but I hadn't seen anything. The police couldn't find anything or any evidence of a crime and so they left. Mr. Porter and his children reverted back into the house, still leaving the door open. I don’t know how long I stood there, just staring into this house but I know that by the time I turned to go home it was fully dark. The hammering did stop that night, I could see them all around the dinner table silently eating. Once that was done, he led his children to bed and then went to his own.
I woke up the next day and went back over to the house - I don't know why? I just felt like maybe I owed something to the poor man. I knocked on his door, Mr. Porter answered. I asked him how he was, if there was anything I could do to help and if the children were at school. He paused at this last question again, stating that the children were on the porch. Playing. I pointed out to him that young Whitney and Jackson were nowhere on or near the porch. Mr. Porter could not say where they were. He expressed utter confusion. He once again asked for my phone, I once again gave it to him. The police did not believe him this time and arrested him. But they were forced to let him go as there was no evidence of his involvement, and was brought back home.
The neighbors avoided him, but they had always avoided him. The police would make periodic checks on the poor man but all he would do is work on that damn nursery. The hammering became louder and more violent. One evening, after several weeks of this, I walked over again. I wanted to check on him I guess. I knocked on the door, he answered. Looking the exact same he had the last two times. He greeted me, and welcomed me to his home. I hesitated, but eventually walked him. He offered me a cup of coffee, which I accepted and he offered to show me the house. I didn't really want a tour of the gloomy house I found myself in, but my mouth had other plans and agreed.
He showed me around and I soon learned that Mr. Porter no longer went to work. He did not make breakfast or dinner, he did not sleep. He just worked in the nursery. They were always a strange family, and he was always a strange man and something strange was bound to happen to them eventually, but this was not strange. This was sickeningly ordinary. Not for your whole family to go missing. That's not ordinary, but for this family, it seemed like the most ordinary tragedy that could have happened.
Eventually, we got to the nursery. I opened the door. It was heavy and hard to open, but eventually it moved. I stepped inside and everything about this nursery was bright. It was ordinary. It didn't have the gloomy feeling the rest of the house had. I stood there, looking at it for a second before turning back to Mr. Porter, but there was no Mr. Porter to look back too. I searched the whole house, calling out his name and there was no trace of Mr. Porter. So, like he had done many times before, I opened my phone and called 911. When the police got there, I told them my story and showed them the nursery. But when I opened the door to it, there was no longer a nursery. Just an old spare guest room.
Evidence was searched for, and evidence was not found. The Porter house stands empty, with all of the family’s things still inside – furniture and clothing. Even the food, rotting in the refrigerator. The Police arrested me, thinking maybe I had hurt the entire family, but of course could never nail me for anything because I didn't do anything.
This is not a confession. This is not a plea. I do not know what happened in the Porter house but I know that what happened was far from ordinary and much too ordinary. Something is wrong with that house. Something. Is in that house. I fear that something is in my house. If there was anything to be learned from this, I… refuse to learn it.

I need a second opinion. So I’m writing a book, right? In the book, two young children are sent to live with their aunt and her wife after their own parents were deemed abusive and sent to jail for drug use. The children do not fully understand that their parents were abusive, nor do they understand their parents did drugs. I thought it would be a good running joke/essential part of the story that these children suspect that their aunt and her wife are fae. This originally started when their mother (who was homophobic) bitterly said that their aunt and her “roommate” (aka her wife) were fairies (in the derogatory term). The children, not understanding the concept of homophobia or the fact that their mother was using a slur, thought she was calling them fairies in the fairytale book kind of way. The older sibling, the boy, is skeptical of this and says that fairies don’t exist, while his sister has the opposite perspective. The children throughout the story seem to suspect their aunts are fairies and debate over this constantly. The aunts’ behaviors and lifestyle in this story also seems to reinforce their belief, because the children don’t quite understand that normal parents don’t abuse their kids. The aunts live in a beautiful cottage with a lovely garden (it has a sign planted near the mailbox that says “Welcome to the Fairy Cottage”) and it’s in a beautiful small town (one of those small towns where everyone knows everyone) with beautiful and unique people who are kind. The children are pushed to believe their aunts are magical fairies on accident.
Things their aunts do that are apparently “magical”:
One of them has a prosthetic leg
They are both good cooks (their parents only ever used microwave meals) and use herbs in their cooking to help the children’s health.
When the little girl wet herself one of the aunts ran her a bath at the temperature she wanted and put a “potion” in the bath that calmed her down (it was lavender soap) without yelling at her.
One of the aunts is an amazing singer. The other plays piano. They both love to dance. At one point the piano plays itself while they dance. (Its one of those pianos with a self-playing mode)
They understand when the little girl references her synesthesia.
They have a “witch shed” in the back yard. At one point when the little girl is sick, one makes her some tea that helps her feel a little better.
Their house has a bit of a Howls Moving Castle vibe.
They are patient with the children and don’t scream.
One has ADHD and shows symptoms
Upon realizing that the little girl has autism, they took her to a doctor/psychiatrist and got her diagnosed and medicated for it, which helped her. She thinks the pills are magic because they help her function better and she didn’t have too much access to medicine with her parents.
They sewed the leg back on a stuffed animal the older one ripped.
Anyway, last year when I said what the running joke is one of my friends got upset and said that it wasn’t something to joke about (even though this is not meant to be disrespectful or hurtful or offensive, but rather a piece of commentary on the world in the eyes of children) I of course, defended this because I myself am bisexual and thought it would be interesting and a little humorous. Keep in mind, the word fairy is only referenced to have been used as a slur once. The rest of the time it is used, it references the mythical creature with wings. I love the book I am writing so much and this piece of the story is a big part of why I started writing it in the first place, and I would hate for this storyline to have a negative effect on the readers. Should I change it? Is it considered offensive if it’s displayed like this? I’m not trying to make fun, or say that using slurs is funny and okay at all. I just think fairies are neat and children have wild imaginations and lesbians are cool.

The all-consuming urge to do a character breakdown of Will Graham from Red Dragon…
They changed Will a lot from the books to the show. And don’t get me wrong, I love them both, but book Will Graham is so… silent.
He doesn’t speak to people. When he does, his responses are curt. He’s blunt. He doesn’t give a single fuck about hurting people’s feelings. Other people don’t like working with him. He’s quiet but intent and nothing fazes him. He can be insulted to his face and he just does not respond.
He’s a very nervous person, and rightfully so. But it’s a different nervous than Will in the show. Will in the show is very twitchy, Will in the book is still. Will can tell when psychiatrists (coughChiltoncoughcough) are trying to read him and he is Unimpressed.
When Lecter tries to derail the conversation, Will gets up to leave, and even says goodbye. Lecter says Will can’t appeal to his vanity, but when Will brings up Dr. Bloom being on the case, Lecter insists on looking over the files. He’s intimidated by Lecter, downright afraid and more than a little traumatized by Lecter, yet he still handles Lecter with finesse.
(If Dr. Bloom’s secretaries were better about not giving out people’s addresses to strangers on the phone, Will probably never would’ve been stabbed in the face.)
He isn’t exactly confident, but he knows when he’s right. He’s cold to people. People are scared of him. People don’t understand him.
He calls his wife all the time to get distracted from the case when it gets to be too much, and he genuinely seems to like Molly a lot, but Silence of the Lambs tells us that they don’t stay together.
Will doesn’t kill Dolarhyde. Molly kills Dolarhyde. She shoots him until she runs out of bullets. Will just gets stabbed in the face and runs until he collapses.
Will had a good conversation with a psychiatrist all of once in his entire life, and then that psychiatrist turned out to be a cannibalistic serial killer who obsesses over him. Will had a wife and a son and dogs and he loved them, and they left him. Will thought he was finally, finally done with Crawford and murder and serial killers, then he got stabbed in the face when he put his guard down.
I understand why they changed Will. I’ve heard people say that he’s difficult to relate to. He’s difficult to understand or like. He’s an alcoholic who pisses off a murderer on purpose and he’s so tired.
The biggest change is how much Crawford has to push him.
Will in the book is wheedled into it, but he refuses to do anything unless he has to. He refuses to see Lecter until he feels like he has to. He refuses to speak to anyone until someone else tells him to. He refuses to leave his hotel room unless Crawford drags him. That isn’t to say he doesn’t want to catch Dolarhyde. He definitely does. He just really wishes that he wasn’t the bait.
He’s an interesting character. He understands murder. He says that there’s a reason for the Dragon to bite his victims aside from sex, because there no hickeys. He says that it’s likely their suspect has never been incarcerated before. Lecter gives his opinion and then says that Will already thought of it, and Will had. He knows things. He’s haunted by things. He’s traumatized.
He figured out Lecter was the Ripper. Lecter figured out that Will knew. And Will asked him if he could leave to use the telephone down the hall. Perhaps more absurd, Lecter let him, and only stabbed Will after Will had already outed him. But that’s Lecter, Hannibal Lecter is the absolute most absurd character in all of fiction, I just find the image hilarious, like: “…may I borrow your telephone?” to the person you know painstakingly recreated the Wound Man with a corpse, as well as on paper.
I love book Will Graham. I am obsessed with his nonchalance that masks his terror. I adore that he got a Christmas card from Lecter and burned it. I can’t stop thinking about him, alone in an unfamiliar hotel room and surrounded by gruesome images of the cruelest of mankind’s mind, trying to use alcohol as a lifesaver so he doesn’t sink so deep that he can never resurface. Crawford thinks that as long as the criminal is ultimately found, it’s fine even if Will breaks.
The criminal is found. And Will most certainly breaks.

This is a lazy summary on Kelly 101. I might come back with receipts and polish up the list. Feel free to add stuff.
*Rumors she lost the job as FE social media correspondence because she slept with a married man and blocked the wife from the official FE chanel. *Rumors she tried hopping on all the Redbull drivers like she is a Whoo girl on an electric bull in a Taxen bar on ladies night. *Rumors she cheated on Daniil several times and tried to become an IT girl, but Daniil didn't like it. *Rumors Daniil broke up with her once and for all, apparently there were small separations beforehand, when he found out Kelly leaves P with the nanny all the time to go party/shopping instead. *Daniil broke up with her when she was in Brazil for her birthday, however she painted it as if she dumped him. Extremely childish break up notice "trash is dumped, so are you" *Rumors Kelly might be responsible for Max breaking up with Dilara *Max was flirting with a lot of girls online and used the most cringe pick up lines. Kelly then used HIS pick up lines ON HIM. *End of September 2020 Serendipity is born. Went on wagsf1 page and claimed everyone knew Max and Kelly are dating *Serendipity send in private pictures in October to proof M&K. *Serendipity got really defensive of Kelly and fans found out with proof Kelly is behind the account because of same language she used on her official accounts to argue with Max fans. *Fans found out she has 2 more finsta accounts. One named Jenssen and the other Chantal
*January 2021 Max confirmed the relationship and she moved herself into his place immediately renovating it to her liking *Several people have negative run ins with her, especially female fans. *Something happened Zandvoort 2021 which led her to leave the GP after qualifying and Max slept in his motor home. She didn't come back and claimed to be a mother as the reason. Rumor was huge fight with Jos. Jos stops following her *Kelly uses the GP for merching and was called out by many fans. Rumor says RB sponsors did not like she use their image logo in her merching and forbid  her to come to the next races Cota and Mexico. *Kelly befriends Yasmin by slipping into her DMs and they have a wild girls night out several nights in a row. They just met. *Kelly joins Max in Brazil and her family have a professional photoshoot with him because her family uses him to sell their products. *Kelly spend birthday in Monaco and there were a lot of specific cheating rumors. Any page mentioning this was deleted swiftly. *Kelly made Abu Dhabi about herself and accepted well wishes. Her finsta accounts defended criticism by saying she is his lucky charm, basically claiming she is the reason he won. *Max was supposed to spend Christmas 2021 at home with his family like all years before and confirmed by RB staff after their Christmas party. Rumor has huge fight with Jos and they went to Brazil instead. She had a friend leak the confirmation beforehand. *During winter break she posted Max a lot mostly when he was completely drunk. *She posted a ice skating video, in which she theatrically fell to the ground. Fans called her out for how fake it was. She argued with fans online and told them to go see a psychiatrist *Preseason 2022 and rumors started Kelly will baby trap Max. Supposedly he got confirmation of a friend and during testing in Barcelona was overheard on the phone saying "You better be gone when I'm home" *Kelly left for Brazil. Rumors about another man started. Also rumored they broke up however she just ignores it and plays as if everything is business as usual. *1 week before Bahrain she returned with Otitis. Don't worry somehow she was good to fly to Bahrain *Rumors on race morning they had a fight at breakfast. She did not spend the race in the box but in the grandstand confirming that rumor. After Max's DNF further rumor she was clinging onto him when he wanted to be left alone. *Kelly wore an unflattering dress that made her look chubby. She had her fanpages and wags accounts take down the pictures. Leaked screenshots confirmed Kelly talking to them *Another round of cheating rumors. Only post that was ever taken down swiftly by instagram of Just Another. *Generally hate between Kelly fan accounts towards Max fans who don't like her.
*A lot of Max fans were blocked from his page and his fanpage. When his mother was asked about this, she said to bring it up to Kelly *Nelson Sr video in which he called Lewis the N word and says homophobic things showed up. Kelly defended the use of it by liking a post that says it's her nanny's nickname and let Max handle the backlash for her and her family *In October she posted fake news about Lula because she and her family support Bolsonaro *In the Vogue NL story she admits to grooming Max talking about a special connection first time they met.
I got a bit lazy there in the end. Guys there is just too much. The amount of crazy of herself with the 10 finstas and her crazy fans bullying and mass reporting anyone that does not kiss her ass. Rude fan encounters. Her following him everywhere and inserting herself in Redbull team pictures. Calling the paparazzi on them over and over. Generally posting a lot of private moments especially making Max look like a stepfather. Lying her ass off and we can proof her lies constantly. Playing the victim card whenever convenient. Her entire family being a guest in his place all.the.damn.time. they barely spend time apart after she returned from Brazil in March 2022. There was always minimum 1 extra Piquet in his house.
If this was a lazy list I can’t imagine what a proper one looks like. I forgot half of this shit happened so thank you 💀

Spy x Family is an action spy comedy based on Tatsuya Endo's manga. It is directed and written by Takahiro Harada. The first season aired in two cours / parts from April to December 2022. Kazuhiro Furuhashi directed and wrote that season. Wit Studio and CloverWorks produce this series. The latter studio is known for Akebi's Sailor Uniform, My Dress-Up Darling, In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki, and Bocchi the Rock!. The former studio produced Attack on Titan's first three seasons. As a warning, there will be discussion of blood, violence, death, murder, and other mature themes.
Spy x Family focuses on three people staying together as a family unit, each for their own reasons. They want to stop war from breaking out between the East and West by investigating reactionary political leader Donovan Desmond. Twilight lives in Berlint as a psychiatrist named Loid Forger. He's the patriarch of a mock family including himself, his wife, Yor Forger née Briar (voiced by Saori Hayami), and his adopted daughter, Anya (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki). He's unaware that Yor is secretly an assassin named Thorn Princess or that Anya is a telepath. They all live together, hiding their true identities from one another.
The first episode of this season, episode twenty-six, re-introduces viewers to the characters. This includes Bond (voiced by Kenichirō Matsuda), who can see the future, akin to Garnet's future-vision in Steven Universe. The opening is more aberrant and cartoony, differing from those for the two cours /parts of season one. I like the openings of those cours much better. This season opening gives the impression that this season will be wild and out of control. That somewhat pans out.

There's no doubt that this season is more centered on female characters, especially Yor, than previous episodes. Surely, Anya has received a huge spotlight, leading to the nomination of her character as a "must protect at all costs" character during the Crunchyroll's Anime Awards this year. Anya's voice actor was also nominated for another award. However, Yor hasn't received as much of a spotlight. This season changes that. The season's first episode involves Yor and Loid going on a date after he notices her foul mood. In reality, a "bad person" shot her in the butt, while she was working as an assassin, and it hurts badly. Adding to the comedy, Anya and "Scruffy Head" (also called Franky), follow them.
This episode shows Yor and Anya's inner strength. For instance, Anya uses her telepathic powers to stop someone who wants to kill Yor. She makes a bomb out of peanuts, telling the assassin to go back to his normal life. Yor eats a poisonous blowfish but survives because she has a built-up immunity to poisons. As a result, she enjoys her time with Loid and wants to go out on more dates with him. The next day, Loid has no idea what's wrong. In reality, the medicine/poison has worn off and she feels terrible again, making him lament that he doesn't understand women. From the get-go, it was clear that Yor would get "her due" this season.
Spy x Family episodes after this focus on male characters. Bond figures out a way to stay alive. Damian Desmond (voiced by Natsumi Fujiwara) goes on a field trip with his classmates, and an instructor named Mr. Green (voiced by Hiroshi Shirokuma), to the wilderness. The latter resembled a scene from Laid-Back Camp, and reminded me of my days in Boy Scouts, including a trip to the Adirondacks. The twenty-eighth episode focuses on an operation against Franklin, who distributed underground newspapers, and spotlighted secret police officer Yuri Briar (voiced by Kensho Ono). Although he has been shown as harsh, Yuri tried to be compassionate. He agreed to give Franklin's father financial aid.
This series doesn't attempt to portray Yuri's work comedically. Rather, its shown negatively. Historically, both sides in the Cold War developed secret police forces. They were tasked with preventing the other side from overthrowing their government. Austin Murphy wrote in The Triumph of Evil: The Reality of the USA's Cold War Victory that East German secret police were tasked with protecting "government leaders and buildings...uncovering plots to overthrow the government, collecting information...and spying in the West." He described how political repression and secret police actions in Eastern Europe were exaggerated by the U.S. government and mainstream press. In this series, it does not go against this perception. The idea the East is "bad" and the West is "good" is ingrained in the plot. In this series, the Eastern secret police are brutal agents of repression, engaging in surveillance and harsh interrogation.
Yuri is determined to track down Twilight. He is not aware that Twilight is married to his sister, Yor, as Loid. Even so, he is angry at Loid, due to his obsession with his sister. Anya dislikes him. Otherwise, there's a scenario from an episode of the in-series show, Bondman. Bondman creates a harem of eight women. He declares he'll make all these women like him. Fissures form. Some women are angry at not getting enough attention from him and the harem breaks apart. After Anya asks him about it, Loid rejects Bondman's actions, which echo polyamorous relationships. He say that Bondman was only being "gentlemanly" and hints that he doesn't like the idea of relationships with multiple people. I would say it is more about respecting other people rather than a statement against polyamory and favoring monogamous relationships.
I'd forgotten how many slice-of-life moments are in Spy x Family before an arc which compromises almost half the season. Anya rides on a silly polar bear machine. Loid realizes he doesn't understand the children's minds. Anya is determined to get legendary pastries from the Eden College pastry chef. Perhaps hinting at the future, Anya cries in front of Damian. He loses the game of Old Maid, as a result. She gets a macron, following her failed efforts to be a "cool liar" and almost being exposed for being a mind-reader.
One of my favorite slice-of-life moments is where Franky Franklin (voiced by Hiroyuki Yoshino) and Yor work together to find a cat named Kopi. Kacey (voiced by Marie Ôi), a girl who works at a nearby cafe, owns the cat. This scene artfully combines combination of humor, technology, and action. Franky develops cat-shaped listening devices which cats destroy, and a device which shoots out catnip pheromones, which work too well. In the end, Franky is disappointed. Kacey has a partner named Mark. Yor is glad she helped Franky. This fades away when she's called into a room to answer a call from her boss-of-sorts. She learns about another assassin mission.

Episodes 30-34, and part of 35, comprise the cruise liner arc. It is perhaps one of the best Spy x Family arcs due to the focus on Yor, something severely lacking in the series up to this point. Apart from episode 26, Yor had been treated as a secondary character among the protagonists. This echoed Oshi no Ko. That series centers around the perspective of Aquamarine "Aqua" Hoshino. Female perspectives are downplayed. Some critics raised the same issue about Helluva Boss.
The latter is curious. Hazbin Hotel, also created by Vivienne Medrano, centers on female characters. This raises the question as to why more wasn't done in Helluva Boss. Medrano defended this decision in a Twitter thread. She said "Hazbin has always had a heavier emphasis on women led stories, so Helluva has steered more towards male-led stories." She added even with such storytelling, she still loved female characters in the series.
Coming back to Spy x Family, the arc started off strong. Yor meets her aforementioned boss-of-sorts, known as the Shopkeeper (voiced by Junichi Suwabe). She receives her mission: protecting someone seeking asylum in the East. Her mission is complicated when she learns that Anya and Loid have tickets on the same luxury cruise ship, the Princess Lorelei. It is in-character for Anya to be excited for the cruise and then be disappointed once she entered the living quarters.
Yor protects Olka (voiced by Aya Endō), her son Gram (voiced by Marie Ôi), and Olka's husband, Zeb (voiced by Shinya Takahashi). Olka and Zeb have shared wartime experiences. Olka gave Zeb a piece of bread when he was starving which brought them closer together. Assassins threaten Yor and her clients. Some even bug the entire vessel.
The episode that follows involves Yor fighting off an assassin, masquerading as someone providing room service. She;s assisted by Matthew McMahon (voiced by Kenyū Horiuchi), the director. Loid notices wiretaps and tries to avoid suspicious characters. At the same time, there's a substory between Loid and Anya. She tries to ensure that assassins don't try to kill or attack Yor and attempts to distract Loid. In the process, Yor and the Director use brutal tactics to defend their clients (Olka, her husband, and son). This includes Yor killing someone with a button and another with her hand strength, while the Director throws an assassin into the water.
The thirty-second, thirty-third, and thirty-fourth episodes of Spy x Family give more depth to Yor. This mixes with Franky realizing that he can "pick up" women with Bond and Anya continuing to distract Loid in one way or another. In the process, she ends up enjoying mini-golf, going on roller-skates, attending a play, and so on, rather than thinking about helping Yor. She realizes that she is worrying Loid and notes that she misses Yor. In response, Loid says he will leave a message to let them know when Yor is free.
These episodes feature some of the most brutal fights for Yor, which she wins. Anya assists her. She convinces people that Yor is only a circus performer. As a result, assassin becomes distracted and Yor leaves victorious. She kills other assassins through various means. Blood, violence, murder, and death in this episode make clear that this series is for adults.
Yor's battles against assassins is some of the best action sequences in the entire series. The flowing animation fits well with the music and voice acting, all while she begins to question what she is fighting for. At one point, she gets cornered. She contemplates what would happen if she died. She remembers why she took on the job as assassin: to protect the simple life of her brother, Yuri. To fulfill that mission, she vows to "thoroughly clean" the world and ensure Loid acknowledges her.
She doesn't give up. Using her strong kick, she lurches the enemy assassin backward and kills him. This episode, the thirty-fourth in the series, is shorter than others. It provides appropriate context for Yuri becoming sick that his sister isn't around. As he drinks terrible herbal tea, he remembers when Yor went to extreme lengths so he would feel better. This led to determination to make the world gentler for her. This goal echoes what she is trying to accomplish as an assassin.
The thirty-fourth episode of Spy x Family is the final one entirely focused on this arc. The stakes are higher than before. Yor is determined to defend Olka and her family, who were formerly part of the Mafia, and attempting to defect. The fireworks distracts everyone from the bloody battle. Anya unknowingly saves all the passengers by giving hints to Loid and finding Yor's weapon. Loid disarms the bombs on board, one of which unintentionally kills two assassins.
youtube
Yor is unsure how her weapon got there, not aware that Anya is her unstated accomplice. But, she's glad that her fight is over. Loid hints at possible tensions to come: a group of miscreants attempt to destroy the vessel using bombs resembling those from the West. They hope war will break out, again, causing weapons sales to skyrocket. Loid's quick thinking, and clues from Anya, ensure that all the bombs are found and disarmed. One bomb causes two extremists to be knocked into the water and be eaten by sharks.
Yor's victory not only benefits the Garden, the "extremist terrorist group" she is part of, but Olka. She thanks Yor and hopes that her family, some day, can have true peace. Yor gets permission to meet with Loid and Anya. Loid is tired and annoyed he put his family aside. Yor does medical care on herself. The arc doesn't end until the next episode, in which they them relax on Resort Island. Yor attempts to hide her injuries, even while they go snorkeling, go to a cafe, ride a tandem bike, ride a zip-line, ride hoses, build sand castles, or do spelunking. Through all of this, they enjoy themselves. After everything they have been through in Spy x Family up to this point, it is only right they get to relax.
After Yor and Anya conk out, Loid carries them both in a double princess carry. Following this, they return home, and Bond greets them. Loid tells his boss about what happened on the cruise ship, noting that some suspicious people were aboard. His boss reveals that the State Security Service is covering up what happened and says they will keep an eye on Ostanian "extremists." Funny enough, Loid says that after everything Anya put him through, he has had enough vacations. He describes it as more backbreaking than his usual missions, making clear the challenges of being a parent (albeit of an adopted child).
Although this arc is enjoyable, I'm doubtful there will be another Yor-centered arc in Spy x Family. In the second half of the episode, which ended the arc, Yor attempts to give her co-workers skeleton keychains, an idea they are lukewarm to. Loid prepares the apartment for Yuri's arrival. Anya attempts to brag about her cruise ship visit. However, this is a magnificent failure. This is a "normal thing" for students at this elite private school. Everyone makes fun of her. She attempts to lie about it but this does not work. They all commiserate, with Loid, Yuri, and Yor absurdly telling Anya that liars are terrible, even though they are all lying. Anya responds, saying that lying is too much work and that she isn't going to do it anymore.
Following the end of this arc, there are stories which focus on two female characters: Becky Blackbell (voiced by Emiri Katō) and Nightfall / Fiona Frost (voiced by Ayane Sakura). For the first of these characters, Becky attempts to use "lessons" she learned from Berlint in Love to express her "love" for Loid. It's an expression of her privileged mindset. Whether this obsession is a stand-in for fans who like Loid or male anime characters, I'm not sure.
A possible second cour / part of this season, could expand upon her assistant, who Loid remarked carries herself like a soldier. It is typical for Becky to think that Loid is acting sweet toward her, when he is being nice only because he sees her as a good source of information, knowing that the Blackbell family runs an arms manufacturing business. They are "masters of war" as Bob Dylan once described such people. Of all of them, Yor realizes that Becky is happy to meet Loid, who is wary of Becky.
The episode has some of the worst misunderstandings I've seen in a while. Yor jumps to the wild conclusion that she put alcohol in Becky's drink, not realizing that Becky is fawning over Loid, and rushes her to the hospital. Becky ends up clearing everything up. But, Yor isn't angry with her. She appreciates that Loid is loved. She tells Becky that Loid chose her because she is strong. This leads to another misunderstanding, on Becky's part: that Loid prefers strong women.
She tries to use a hammer to hit a pan, and ring a bell, a common game used to test someone's strength. This is another failure for Becky because the hammer is too heavy. Yor uses it, gets first place, and breaks the machine, because she can't control her strength. Becky realizes that she isn't a match for Yor and offers to become her apprentice. Yor happily agrees.
For the first time in the season, Nightfall appears. She's still deeply in love with Loid. The Handler / Sylvia Sherwood (voiced by Yūko Kaida) warns her to not push herself too hard. Her missions are aptly interspliced with Loid and his family on vacation. She perfectly executes all the missions that Loid would have been tasked with if he wasn't on the cruise ship.
youtube
Once again, she plays the role of the romantic interloper. She's determined to take the role of Loid's wife, wanting to achieve "complete victory," even going through intense training. After Loid returns, she tries to ask if Operation Strix has changed and he tells her no. He does not tell her what happened on the cruise ship. She is overjoyed to receive a gift from Loid. He gave it to her in appreciation for all the hard work she did while he was gone. Although she doesn't know that, she skips happily.
In some ways, Nightfall shares a similar obsession to Yor's brother, Yuri. She isn't the most sympathetic, considering the fact she wants to split apart the burgeoning romance between Yor and Loid, by claiming Loid as her "prize." In reality, Loid has no feelings for her whatsoever. He only sees her as a diligent and skilled agent. Undoubtedly, she is dedicated. She works hard for the same goals as Loid. It remains to be seen if he will shatter her love for him.
The final episode of this Spy x Family cour centers on Bond. He tries to use his future-vision for good, causing problems at first, at least until he runs into a burning building and saves a pug dog named Daisy, with the help of Loid. Both escape and stop the man who set the fire. It is revealed that Bond is actually very skinny. His fur makes him look more puffy.
Loid is proud of Bond, although annoyed he bit the arsonist in the wrong place (the leg rather than the arm). He says the top priority is making Bond feel he is part of the Forgers, with his training taking a back seat. He promises to bring him to a dog park the next day. Later, Anya gives him and Bond fake Stella starts. Loid wants Anya to get real Stellas.
The episode ends with Damian studying and getting in a pillow fight with his dorm mates, Becky posing with her dog and trying on new clothes, Yuri eating his sister's terrible cooking in which he sprays blood, Nightfall practicing her shooting with Loid's photo in the middle, and the Forgers having a nice meal together. It says "see you next Mission" at the end. This episode is the last one for a while. The next cour is reportedly coming in October of this year. The movie, Spy x Family Code: White, released in Japanese theaters last year. It will release in theaters, and on streaming services (like Crunchyroll) sometime this year. A date has not been announced.
It is worth noting that manga artist Tatsuya Endo, who created the original Spy x Family series (for which this anime adaptation is based) has worked on manga series since 2000. While this has, primarily, included one-shots such as Blade of the Moon Princess and I Spy, there has also been serialized stories such as the action-thriller, Tista. He has been created as an illustrator for three books. Spy x Family is the first of his manga to receive an anime adaptation.
Endo is said to create well thought-out characters. Some say he writes stories which indicate negative or positive shifts in psychological states of characters. This translates into this anime. Anya, Loid, and Yor are more than they seem on the surface. Each one is trying to hide their true identities, either as a telepath, spy, or assassin. This is partially what drew them all together, and keeps them as a family, with each of them acting the part. As Jaques, an exiled noble, famously stated in William Shakespeare's 1516 pastoral comedy, As You Like It, "all the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players."
(K)now_Name, a J-pop music group, composed the show's music. Comprised of three vocalists, seven composers, and one illustrator, (K)now_Name also produced opening and ending themes for Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, Sakura Quest, Fairy Gone, and Dorohedoro. The group did the theme song of Quiz RPG: The World of Mystic Wiz too. The music in this series earned the series some nominations, for various songs, in the recent anime awards hosted by Crunchyroll.
The English dub and Japanese voice actors enhance these aspects. Takuya Eguchi, Atsumi Tanezaki, Saori Hayami, and Kenichirō Matsuda, who voice the four protagonists, are emblematic of this. Eguhi voiced Kazuya Kujo in Gosick, Julius Euclius in Re:Zero, and Byakudanji Tsubaki in My Master Has No Tail. Tanezaki voiced Mizore Yoroizuka in Sound! Euphonium Season 2, Rio Futaba in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Sajuna Inui in My Dress-Up Darling, Eiko Kikuchi in Shine Post, Gyokuyō in The Apothecary Diaries, Serina Yoshida in The Dangers in My Heart, and Iroha Inukai / Cure Friendy in Wonderful PreCure! (currently airing).
In addition, Hayami voiced Chizuka Nishikigi in Whispered Words, Mylene Certon in Bodacious Space Pirates, Midori Aoyama in Is the Order a Rabbit?, Yuzuki Shiraishi in A Place Further than the Universe, and Viola Cadaverini in Ace Attorney. She also voiced Maria Campbell in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, Ruby Rose in RWBY: Ice Queendom, Inori in Shy, and Charlotte Evans in I'm Giving the Disgraced Noble Lady I Rescued a Crash Course in Naughtiness.

Matsuda voiced characters in Pluto, Tearmoon Empire, and Chainsaw Man. Hiroyuki Yoshino, Yūko Kaida, Kazuhiro Yamaji, Natsumi Fujiwara, Emiri Katō, Kensho Ono, Ayane Sakura, Umeka Shōji, Manaka Iwami, and Junichi Suwabe are just as talented. Yoshino voiced Masaaki Ohyama in Azumanga Daioh, Shakti in Carole & Tuesday, and Jaron Fate in Metallic Rouge (currently airing). Kaida voiced Minako Tsukiyama in Maria Watches Over Us, Amane Ootori in Strawberry Panic!, Nanette in Emma: A Victorian Romance, Sakura Muroi in Stars Align, Seira Amawashi in Birdie Wing, and Flare in The Executioner and Her Way of Life. Adding to this, Yamaji, Shoji, and Iwami voice many characters across anime.
Ono voiced Mikazuki Subaru in My Roommate is a Cat and Fujiwara voiced Yozora in the absurdist Too Cute Crisis. Katō voiced Himari Uehara in BanG Dream! seasons two and three. At the same time, Sakura voiced Alisa Ayase in Love Live! School Idol Project, Natsumi Koshigaya in Non Non Biyori, Cocoa Hoto in Is the Order a Rabbit?, Ran Mitake in BanG Dream!, and Kurei in Do it Yourself!!. Iwami has many roles under her belt, as of late. This includes Akane Kurokawa in Oshi no Ko, Euphyllia Magenta in The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady, Kokona Ōtori in World Dai Star, and Sakuna Memoir in The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess.
Presently, English dubs for most second season episodes are on Crunchyroll, but not on Disney+ (with Hulu Bundle) or Hulu as of yet. I plan to watch the dubbed episodes like I did with season one. Although I enjoyed watching this series, I wish the cruise ship arc had been longer. More episodes focusing on female characters, particularly Yor, would be great.
For that reason, and the fact the story too easily falls into the East (bad) / West (good) dichotomy, I am rating the story section lower than in my first season review. In that review, I was far too charitable when it came to storytelling issues. While saying this, I look forward to what the second season and film has to bring. I hope for more stories centered on female characters, like Yor, Anya, Becky, and Nightfall, in the future.
Spy x Family is streaming on Hulu, Disney+ (with Hulu Bundle), and Crunchyroll. Misordered episodes can be purchased on Prime Video. Also, you can order the Blu-ray or DVD for the series from the Crunchyroll Store.
