Countdown to Agatha: Darkhold Diaries: Day 647
Tumblr media
Let it be documented I love this coat. LOVE THIS COAT. Want to make it for myself love it. It’s a great staple that establishes a new look for Agatha.
However…when I first saw it…all I could think was gothic dark sided Mary Poppins

My Familiar’s Ghost part 43
Masterpost
(ID in alt and under cut)
ID: 1a. Mottled green background; Laszlo's hand pops into frame from the bottom, holding a corded phone receiver. He calls, 'Little wraith! Lilith on the telephone!' Ghost Guillermo flies in sharply from the opposite side, reaching out to snatch the phone with an irritated expression. He snaps, 'Don't call me that.' The wraith energy around him is still amorphous and in pieces, but has formed into a definite hood and cape. 1b. Split panel, close up on Guillermo on a green background on the left and Lilith on a purple background on the right. Guillermo holds the phone to his ear with a smile, anxious but eager, and says 'Lilith! Did you find out anything?' Lilith is dressed down in a grey tee shirt over a black lace camisole with a gold chain necklace and some silver rings, hair piled into a messy bun on top of her head. Her hands are busy with something below screen, pink smartphone wedged between her ear and shoulder. She grins smugly and replies, 'You bet your cute little bum I did! And it's just as I told you - self inflicted!' 1c. Repeat. Guillermo frowns, brow furrowing in confusion, and says 'Huh? But I didn't-' Lilith interrupts him, still grinning and aiming a wink at the phone, 'You didn't, but your great great great grandpappy sure did.' She gestures with her right hand which holds a rubber spatula dripping with some kind of neon green slime. 1d. Repeat. Guillermo's frown deepens, a growing anxiety forming lines between his brows. He squeaks out, 'He-what?' Lilith raises a brow with a frown and explains, 'Beautiful work by a sister coven in the Netherlands - good for 10, 15 generations, I'd say. Now what was that wording she used...' She straightens her head, now holding her phone with her left hand and leans over to rummage offscreen with her right. 1e. The area outside the panels fades from white to a muted brown as we switch the scene back to Nandor at Panera. Close up of Nandor's hand pushing the head of the dead vampire in the 70s gear that was slumped near the door with two fingers, exposing his throat. He has been bitten messily once or twice, blood dried in streams dripping down to his collar. There is a stake sticking out of the center of his chest. Nandor notes aloud, 'Not drained, just...sipped. And killed. 1f. Zoom out as Nandor stands and turns to survey the rest of the room nervously, the dead vampire slumping over behind him. Nandor twiddles his fingers together and says to himself, 'Yeesh, Guillermo, always with the slaying, even now...'
2a. The area outside the panels continues to darken as it goes down. Close up of Lilith, purple background darkened as a shadow falls over her face. She is holding her phone to her ear with her left hand and holding up a yellow post-it note with her right, stuck to the tips of her fingers. She reads out, 'Should blood be supped / and end thy life / your body lay not still- / a slayer wakes to turn the knife...' 2b. Close up of Guillermo as Lilith reads out the last line: '...and succumb to slayer's will.' Guillermo's eyes widen with horror, mouth slack with shock. The background turns to mottled reds and oranges, his wraith cloak flaring out in terrified spikes around him, and the phone receiver falls from his frozen hand as it loses corporeality. 2c. Zoom out to a green background and wooden floor, the rotary phone placed on a small side table. The receiver clatters to the floor as Guillermo retreats to a glowing blue vapor and voops out of view. Lilith's voice continues from the phone, 'And then something about an unstoppable vampire-killing frenzy. She couldn't figure out how to rhyme that bit in English.' 2d. Back to Panera, the area outside the panels now nearly black. Close up of Nandor in the foreground facing the viewer, having walked further into the room. He is grimacing down at the next vampire corpse he is examining. The blood-smeared cabinets and open doorway are visible behind him. In the doorway, the silhouette of a short round figure has appeared silently, orange eyes glowing from the darkness, narrowed into slits. Lilith's voice continues from the phone from the previous panel: 'Hello? Memo? Hello?' /end ID

Wyrd Sisters Abroad
For this year's inktober I'm reimagining the three Lancre coven members, from Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, as modern day witches (and sending them on a trip to America).
So let me introduce you to:
Tumblr media
Gytha "Nanny" Ogg (canon version)
Gytha is the optimist of the coven. She has buried three husbands (and that’s just the official count), she has fifteen children, innumerable grandchildren, an evil cat named Greebo, and only one tooth. She likes smoking her pipe, eating, drinking, playing her banjo while taking her bath, and singing (mostly “the Hedgehog Song” and “A Wizard’s Staff has a Knob on the End”). She always checks under her bed before going to sleep in the hope that there might be a man hiding under it (you never know…).
And:
Tumblr media
the reimagined Gytha "Nanny" Ogg
Don't let her pink velour tracksuit fool you; she’s not one of the working out types of octogenarians (in fact she doesn’t do anything tiring if she can help it) - but she does like to be comfy (and maybe a little bit sexy - though she probably wouldn’t admit that). Her sneakers were chosen by one of her many grandchildren and “they’re red because Nana likes red and they have stars on them because Nana is MAGIC!”. Her witch’s hat has a red ribbon on it because she does indeed like red. Not pictured is her foul-tempered, evil-smelling, one-eyed cat Greebo whom, despite all evidence to the contrary, Nanny considers to be a sweet, harmless kitten.
Tumblr media
Esmerelda (Esme) "Granny" Weatherwax (canon left, reimagined right)
Esme is the most intimidating of the coven. She is very confident in her abilities. When she says that something is impossible she usually means “for anyone except herself”. Accordingly she is not a good loser (she hasn’t had much practice); from her point of view, losing is something that happens to other people. She’s never scared of walking through a dark forest because she knows that the most terrifying thing in it is herself. Her implicit belief that everything should get out of her way extends to other witches, very tall trees and, on occasion, mountains. Despite being an extremely powerful witch, she prefers to use headology instead of actual magic whenever possible; she is a firm believer in giving people what they need, not what they want. She is Good and she is Right, but she's not Nice. She is feared and respected, but generally not liked.
In canon she is the most "traditionally" dressed of the three Lancre witches: all black, simple dress, sturdy boots, tall witch's hat fastened to her tight bun with hatpins, and the occasional vest. Her goal is to look as much of a witch (and as intimidating) as possible.
In the reimagined version she is still dressed in all black but I opted for a different kind of intimidating-older-woman style: the ageing punk rock virgin with the evil stare.
And last but not least:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Magrat Garlick (canon version)
Magrat's name is an accident; her mother wanted to name her Margaret, but didn't know how to spell it. She is the youngest member of the Lancre coven, and the least confident in her magical abilities (probably the reason why she rarely wears her witch’s hat - instead she prefers to wear glamorous green dresses that would suit more curvy figures than hers, and slightly wilted flower crowns on her unruly hair). She also has a huge collection of occult jewellery, is a vegetarian, and believes in folk songs and the Cycles of Nature. She is the most bookish of the three witches and an excellent herbalist - something even Granny Weatherwax (who usually calls her a “wet hen”) reluctantly admits. In “Witches Abroad” she inherits a Fairy Godmother wand, but is unable to master it; the only effect she is able to produce with it is turning things into pumpkins.
And:
Tumblr media
the reimagined Magrat Garlick
As a vegetarian on a quest to save Mother Earth, she wears clothes made of natural fibers, vegan sandals, and reusable tote bags. She’s also wearing a witch’s hat (purely because I couldn’t resist the aesthetic appeal), but it’s dark green instead of the traditional black and the shortest one of the group. She still has a soft spot for crystals and magical jewellery though. She wears an ankle bracelet with tiny bells on it (she finds the soft tinkling weirdly soothing).

Always You pt.2
Pairing: Larissa Weems x wife!reader
Summary: Read pt.1 for some background but basically reader and Larissa are finally married and they want a baby so the steamy shower turns into something more and they later get a very life "shifting" surprise.
*******************************************************************
You had packed up your things and started to head out of your office, you quickly stopped though checking your appearance in the mirror. You were teaching in one of the many atriums of the school today, it was in an older part of the school, less travled now. But the levels used to be filled with footsteps and gossip of students, now the levels were overgrown with beutiful vines that hung towards the floor the window on top still intact allowing for golden rays to seep down in and beautiful arrays of colorful flowers reached towards the sunlight. You were teaching on architecture and nature, Life Imitates Art and so this was the best spot, though it was a hike so you opted for some ripped jeans a long-sleeve henley, your curls were pulled up in a loose messy bun and your coordinating headband held the extras in perfect placement, you looked in the mirror approving and left locking your office behind you.
You felt your phone buzz in your back pocket and raised your wrist to see a text from Larissa, Hey I hope you don't mind if I come in a little later, kind of dealing with something.
You quickly replied and then decided that you would just stop by her office, you saw the large doors cracked and slipped inside hearing her voice filtering through the cracked door, when you stepped in your saw three other teachers in the room surrounding her desk and heard Larissa talking to them, before raising her voice and shooing them away with the swipe of her hand. You hated seeing her being made a spectacle like that, dealing with and being criticized for someone else wrong doing it made your heart race and blood boil, you knew she could handle herself and yet it made the gold swirl in your eyes flow stronger. She made eye contact with you and you stepped to the side, watching as the other teachers stormed out of the room in defeat.
You slowly approached her desk setting down at the corner facing her and watching as she massaged her temples, "What is it with some people?"
"What's going on baby?" you said stepping up behind her and massaging the tensed muscles.
"Some of these teachers think that we should be living in fear the old way, and towns people think we should be kept hidden, they're helping each others case while fighting for two different causes."
"I that why we were having a sacrificial coven meeting around your desk?" you chuckled, she let a side smirk slip by.
"So you saw that?"
"Mmhmm."
"Yea, some or the older teachers think that just because I'm newer that they own me and I'll do whatever they say."
"Mm, well tell them to bad. I licked it first so It's already mine." you said whispering into her ear and swiping your tongue over the pulse point of her neck.
She quickly crossed her legs and sat up a little straighter, you knew what you were doing, but you weren’t done yet. You reached up and let your hair down the gorgeous long curls falling over your shoulders, you took your headband off and ran your hands through your hair massaging your scalp, to you it was minor but Larissa loved your hair down, she loved to play with it and when in bed she loved rubbing her hands through it knowing that she’s the one that makes it a perfect mess. You let it fall around both of you and heard her intake a long breath.
“Mmm looks like someone might need a little work out later, looking a little tense there love.”
“Darling I… um….”
“Words baby words.” You said as she turned looking into your hooded eyes your signature smirk on your lips as she looked on wide eyed and gentle. She leaned up kissing you slowly rising from her chair to tower over you, you stood pretty tall for most women but next to Larissa you were shorter. She picked you up sliding you into her desk but you placed a hand on her chest breathing already heavy.
“Not here…Larissa not here.”
“But… it wouldn’t be the first time.” She smirked thinking back.
“Mmmm… I want it to be different I wanna try something new.”
“Wait like…” she gave you a questioning but excited look. You slowly shook your head yes.
“Are we going to try for a baby?”
”Why not, I told you once you out a ring on it and it’s been a year.” You met her eyes filled with excitement and the grin on her perfect red tinted lips.
“In that case.”
it wasn’t long before all her things were packed up and she was practically dragging you to the car and speeding ti get home, and your wife never sped that was your area of expertise. You made it into the door of the house and she quickly pulled you upstairs.
“Larissa hold on love I’ve been working in the old building all day and I need to shower.”
“Darling… please.” She pouted.
You gave her your look rolling your eyes and continued to the master bath, you put a little extra swag in your hips, you knew she couldn’t wait she was to excited. Did you need a shower yes, did you want to shower also yes but the intention was not to do it alone. Larissa stayed in your room warring with herself, she heard the water come on and the door softly thud closed, she waited not two minutes before deciding to join you stripping on her way to the bathroom, slowly closing the door behind her and getting in the shower.
“I knew it wouldn’t take long.”
“Mmm cause you know me so we’ll.” she said placing kisses on your shoulders and neck, she ghosts over your scars running delicate fingers over the ones on your side that ran from you me rubs down to your hip it was a sweet spot for you somewhere that you were always scared of people seeing but to her it was art and she loved reminding you.
“Well I am your wife after all.” She turned you in her arms standing over you but bending down to kiss down the front of you, placing kisses on your lips before she went to your neck and then breasts, then back up. You felt her hands traveling down your body as you explored hers, her fingers wrapped around the back of your thighs and hoisted you up pressing you against the wall.
“Indeed you are…” she smirked down ant you, “and now my beautiful wife is also going to be the mother of my children, because I’m gonna put a baby in you.”
“You sure about that?”
She let out a low laugh her eyes filled with lust, usually it was you who dominated rarely did you see this side of her but tonight was a whole different story. You were excited this was something new for both of you and it excited you to your core, you could feel yourself dripping for her, ready for whatever she was going to do to you. She leaned in close, “are you ready baby?”
You shook your head in response and that’s when you felt it the extra appendage that was never there before, pressed against your belly as she had you lifted and wrapped around her waist against the shower wall, the steam and water enveloping your bodies. You met her eyes knowing how sensitive she was, “are you sure about this?”
“I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life, Y/N I wanna get you pregnant, I wanna watch you grow and have our baby, and then raise it together and have a bunch of mini me’s running around.”
You swallowed hard, you weren’t sure you could get any wetter but you just did.
“let’s start with one.” You said kissing her lips.
“see now that I can do.” She said you could feel her sick pressing against you and felt as she too her hand guiding it into you, she gave you both time to adjust before she slowly started moving her hips. You had your head thrown back agains the shower wall her lips leaving marks along you neck and collarbones that you’d have to cover in the morning, her hands gripped onto the back of your thighs before one arms snaked around your back, she thrusted harder and faster pulling moans out of you.
“Oh God… babe, oh god I’m gonna…” you loaned as you got closer to letting loose.
“it’s okay love I’m right here, I got you.” You loaned out again feeling her twitch inside you, you knew she was close. She held you close and got faster the closer you both got.
“God Y/N I wanna put a baby in you.” With that the rubber band snapped she let out one final moan as you gasped feeling the release. Your breathing still labored she let you down, you finished showering and made your way out to the bed, you continued through the night until neither could take anymore.
———time jump———
three weeks later and you were teaching a magic class, this was on elements and how they aid in your skills whether you can control them or not, you had felt off during the day and so a colleague took your last three lectures and you went home. Larissa caught wind and was by your side as soon as the day was done.
the next morning you were still feeling off and startled Larissa by a jolt in the morning with you running to the bathroom to throw up your guts. You felt better but decided to take the day off as to not risk the students health, Larissa decided she would take a half day and come home in the afternoon. While you were lounging in your downstairs living room you got and idea, quickly running out and picking up some pregnancy tests, you took them before Larissa got home but decided to wait to look until she got there, when you heard the door open you approached her.
“Hey darling how’re you feeling?”
“Better though I did something.”
“and what might that be?”
“I took a pregnancy test.” The room was silent for a moment before she looked down at you.
“Dear god it didn’t work did it?”
“I haven’t looked, I couldn’t do it without you.”
“oh okay.” You both quickly made your way upstairs and into the bathroom, you both hesitated before looking at the tests on the counter, there jn front of you were 3 positive tests, you tuned to Larissa and she pulled you into a hug before placing kisses on your lips.
“we’re going to be moms!” She said excitedly.
“yes, yes we are.” You said tears in your eyes.

"[F/N], If you could just think about it for a second.." The counsellor said, Resetting the devil-horn glasses upon her face.
The hum of the fluorescent lights above her droned into [F/N]'s ear like a cicada, The equally annoying rotations of the fan not doing much to soothe her headache either. It wasn't just the noise too but also the uncomfortably designed office chair that she lazed on, Digging into her back.
She was sat within the office of the youth centre's counsellor's office. A room with cool grey walls decorated with motivational posters with smiling faces and overly-positive quotes, Sunlight shining through the shutters onto the polished wooden floorings being the only lighting in here.
The counsellor herself was a rather dim looking woman with dark hair tied into a tidy bun, One that was as clean cut as the tailored grey suit she wore. Her posture straightened and perfect, Green eyes staring at her from behind the red rims of her pointed glasses.
A caring woman, One that meant the best at heart. Not in it for the money but certainly from a place of love and meaning. Though that didn't much to lighten [F/N]'s mood.
She sat lying upon the uncomfortable build of the chair, Much older than she was back then with her legs spread out and her arms folded in. She was sunken into her chair, Like she had just woken up from a nap upon it. Yet her eyes were wide open and rolled at the woman's words.
"I don't want to, No way." [F/N] huffed as she kicked her feet lightly at the desk of the counsellor. Whose red lipstick turned down into a frown as she sat in her office chair, Clicking her pen.
"There are families out there who want to adopt you, [F/N]. This couple seems to be a really good pick, High income and already have children of their own. They're interested in taking you in, Dear." The counsellor said, Sliding over a pamphlet towards [F/N].
[F/N] picked it up but she barely looked at it, Running her eyes over the information put down before huffing and pushing it back down.
"Yeah they seem lovely. But I don't care, I don't want to be adopted. I've got stuff to do here and it said there that they live all the way in Nagano." [F/N] explained, Almost exasperated as if it was the thousandth time she'd explained it. Tossing her head to the side and folding her arms once more.
The counsellor sighed, Looking down towards the top of her desk.
"[F/N].. I understand how you feel. Tetsuya's death was hard on all of us, But you need to understand that it was a wil-"
"IT WASN'T A WILD ANIMAL!" [F/N] slammed her fists down onto the table, Finally leaning up from her chair and staring daggers into the startled counsellor.
It stood for what seemed like minutes, Eyes connected to each other. The fire burning in [F/N]'s eyes however shook when she suddenly sighed, Then slumped over back into her chair.
The counsellor gulped, Making sure her glasses were in place before speaking once more.
"..I apologise, I shouldn't of brought it up.." She started, Shaking her head. "But I worry about you, [F/N]. You keep going out into those woods and barely spend any time here anymore, Not to mention your ramblings to your peers.."
[F/N] tossed her head to the side in a rather juvenile display, Her nose scrunched up in disgust at what she said.
"No one ever believes me.. It wasn't a wild animal.. It just wasn't. You seen the autopsy, You can't say that it was some starving bear!" [F/N] exclaimed, Raising her arms into the air before flopping them back down to emphasise her point.
"There isn't any other explanation for it. Those woods do tend to be bursting with all sorts of animals and besides, What else could it be?" The counsellor said, Brushing off the shoulder-pads.
[F/N]'s face hardened, A solemn look washing across her face as she leaned over on her chair. Eyes dead-set on the eyes of the woman opposite of her as she spoke.
"A demon. A demon killed Tetsuya." She whispered as quiet as the morning wind. Her eyes furious and determined, A kind of fire burning through them as her stone-cold face mumbled those words.
The counsellor sighed, Nodding as if she had heard those words a thousand times before. She shuffled as few papers on her desk, Aligning them well before setting them beside her in finality.
"..There is no such thing as demons, [F/N]." She spoke quietly. "What you saw out there was traumatising, Yes.. But blaming it on some imaginary creatures won't do you any good." The counsellor said, Seeming to put a firmer foot down as she leaned over to meet [F/N] face to face.
[F/N]'s jaw clenched shut, Leaning back over into her chair with a rigid back. Her clenched fists shook, Trying her best not to act on what she was so tempted to do.
She mumbled something under her breath. The counsellor blinked, Leaning forward.
"What was that?" She asked, Tilting her head.
"DEMONS EXIST AND THEY KILLED TETSUYA! WHY WON'T ANYONE BELIEVE ME?!" [F/N] screamed suddenly, Jerking up from her seat and snapping at the woman's face. The counsellor yelped, Jolting back into her office chair.
[F/N] got up from her chair, Not even bothering to look at the startled woman as she slung her bag over her shoulder and started to storm out of the room. An angry march as the counsellor recomposed herself.
"[F/N]! Where are you going..?!" She called out, Watching as the girl didn't even falter as she walked off towards the door. [F/N] didn't turn back to face her, Only gripped the fake gold of the door handle.
"I'm getting out of here, Can't breathe clear in this stupid place.." She hissed lowly before yanking the door open and marching out of the counsellors office. Door slamming shut with a thump.
And then, She was alone.
[F/N] stood dead within the empty hall, After storming out and slamming the door she didn't really have a destination to go to. So she stayed put, Looking at the sunlight pouring in through the windows lining the long hall, Almost appreciating it.
She couldn't go back to her room, That was a pigsty. It was always infested with insects crawling about and no matter how much bug spray she used, They never seemed to leave her in peace. So that was a no go.
The playrooms, The little library, The kitchens or the TV room where she spent countless days in front of the screens. None of them seemed appealing anymore. What use to be the apple in Eden was nothing but a rotting core now, So disgusting and unappetizing.
It was suppose to be a leisure, A relaxation.
But it never was anymore, It just couldn't be.
Not without Tetsuya.
[F/N] clicked her tongue, Sighing a short breath. The air here was too stuffy, Too suffocating to be called oxygen. She needed to go somewhere that's fresher, Somewhere she could properly think.
So her legs drove her forward. Through the long winding corridors, Past all the colourful fliers pinned up on the corkboard, All the doors with pleasantries and laughing hiding behind them were discarded in favour of the reception.
The dreary old woman sitting at the desk didn't even look up from her trashy magazine as [F/N] stormed by, Not even bothering to take a glance at who was leaving through the double glass doors. The little bell chiming above not helping her case.
As soon as she was out, [F/N] was hit with the brisk brush of the air against her skin. Her hair lifting lightly at the sensation as she was met with the mid-day sun, The celestial body shining down at her so happily from it's cobalt throne.
[F/N] couldn't feel the same as her shoes tapped against the stone tiles leading up to the youth centre doors. There wasn't anyone else about apart from the insects crawling about in the bushes or the tiles lining the centre's perimeter.
She reached the point where the stone tiles met the bare pavement, Splitting off into three streams. Though instead of travelling down one she made her way to the rickety old bench lining one of the pavements, Plopping down with the wood creaking at her weight.
"Finally.." [F/N] mumbled to herself as she was finally blessed with the fresh atmosphere. A relief as she took in the invigorating air, A moment of solitude rarely found in her everyday life and one she wanted to take in for a moment.
It was quiet too, This street wasn't as busy since it wasn't as close to the city centre. Few cars passed by to cause any noise, The only sound coming from the fenced off park parallel from the youth centre, The sound of children laughing playing basketball her only white noise.
That was good, There wasn't anyone about to see her next act.
[F/N] hummed as she shoved her hand in her side bag, Fishing around the abundance of objects stored inside before she felt the soft touch of a pretty pink pouch grace her fingers. [F/N] smiled, Pulling it out.
"Better have some left.." [F/N] muttered, And she thought she did. As she unlaced the string that opened the pouch she was met with the face of several cigarettes, A stolen item she had snuck from one of the staff's lockers.
All of them were coloured differently, Rolled in vivid paper.
Watermelon, Grape, Candy Floss and Bubble-gum were only a few of their flavours. They were cool, That's what she thought anyways. Even though she didn't watch TV that much anymore, All the super-cool adults on there always had one of these hanging from their mouth.
Well, Not the flavoured ones like she had. But she didn't like the taste of tobacco, So the taste of sugar and sweetness would have to do.
"Three.. Two.. One.." [F/N] counted down, The cold lighter on her other hand sparking up with a rasping ember. The cigarette in her other, A favoured watermelon flavour, Blitzed up at the end.
With two fingers she placed it in her mouth, Careful to make sure she got the right end this time. Sweet smell of smoke drifting up in the air, She watched it rise from the burning end and as she breathed it back in.
Tetsuya. No one would ever believe her about what happened to him, No one. From the police officers and paramedic's that were present that day, They had all written it off as just some little kids ramblings.
The counsellors, The psychiatrists and the priests. All of them, Every single one had done the same. But [F/N] knew better, [F/N] knew what she had saw that day, She knew that it wasn't something of her world that done it to him.
But it was only her. [F/N]'s lips parted from the cigarette for only a second, Blowing out the sugared smoke from her throat. She'd never be able to convince anyone of the existence of demons, Not without evidence, That is.
She tossed the cigarette onto the pavement. Her sneakers raising then stomping down on the sugar-stick, Mushing out the flame on the stone to nothing but dying smoke.
[F/N] would find evidence, She'd make sure of it. She'd find who killed Tetsuya even if it meant she had to follow him to the next life, She would know the culprit.
Her hand absentmindedly wandered down to the open pouch, The candy coloured silk splayed open on the bench as she searched for the candy scented cigars.
But her hand didn't connect with the bristle of cigarette paper or the shroves of tobacco that should've been there. Her eyes widened for a second, Her head jerking round to meet the open pouch.
It was empty, Completely and utterly empty.
"What the.." [F/N]'s jaw dropped. There had been at least a dozen cigarettes laying atop the paper, All of them had been there since she sat down. She had made sure of it, So why were they missing?
Could she have knocked them over on accident? [F/N] leaned back to look at the muddy grass below the timbered bench, She came up with nothing but worms and weeds growing underneath.
Her hands slapped the pockets of her sweater, Feeling around to see if she misplaced them yet she came up empty. Where could they have gone? To the sides of the bench, On the pavement or perhaps she was sitting on them?
No, Even as she felt underneath her she felt no trace of those sweet little cigarettes.
It was only once she was shifting through the contents of her bag did she find a clue, One that seemed just under her nose.
Or above it in this case. [F/N] suddenly felt the bursting itch of the tiniest particles hitting the bridge of her nose. [F/N] jolted, The sensation amplified by the fact she didn't expect it in the slightest.
She stopped searching through her bag for just a moment, Hand jerking to her nose and rubbing at the irritating itch. But when she brought her hand back, Her eyes narrowed in on the small speck of her hand.
It was a shrove of tobacco.
[F/N] stared at it for a solid moment, Eyes locked in on the target. It seemed like it had came down from the heavens themselves, Like it had just floated down like snowfall on a December morning.
Then another, [F/N]'s eyes darted up to another shrove of tobacco floating down right in front of her vision. Another and another, It seemed to grow in numbers as every second passed by.
"What the hell is this.." [F/N] drawled out, Her hand extended to catch the snowflakes of cigar ash drifting down onto her palm. They were growing into a small bush, A small puddle of candy-smelling shroves coupled within her hands.
But where could they be coming from?
[F/N]'s head turned upwards, Neck craning to get a good look up at the sapphire sky above her. Blinking once she was only met with the wisping clouds floating about the atmosphere, Sun shining down at her.
But her eyes caught onto something else, Something metallic.
It was the streetlamp, One of the dozens lining the concrete pavement for miles but the only one that was standing above her. Still daytime it was off, But the streetlamp wasn't what she was focusing on.
Instead it was the boy hanging from it.
[F/N] jolted at the sight of him, Near falling off the bench as she realised his presence.
The boy was older than her, In his teen years and not in his tween's like [F/N] was. He was hunched over with horrid posture, Panda pouches under his golden eyes to match hers. He was strangely dressed too, A torn-at-the-tail overcoat drooping down from where he hung.
He was hanging like a bat from a cave spike, Legs locked around the branch of the streetlamp so loosely that he could fall at any moment. It was a wonder how he was still hanging on, But [F/N] was more interested in what he was doing.
His mouth was stuffed to the brim like a hamster, His hands grabbing clutches of tobacco and mashing it into his mouth. [F/N] stood there befuddled as she finally saw the clump of coloured cigar paper stuffed in his jacket pocket.
[F/N] gawked, Absolutely stunned.
"This candy sure is weird." The boy said to himself with a blank face, Seemingly not noticing [F/N] standing beneath him in shock. He shovelled another bush into his mouth, Watermelon flavoured to match the swamp green of his hair.
[F/N] gulped.
"How the.. W-Who the hell are you?! Why're you taking my bloody cigarettes?!" [F/N] exclaimed. It was the only thing she could think to say at the moment, Words flowing out of her mouth without a single thought behind them.
But it was the only thing she could say as the boy's sickly yellow eyes darted over to her, Seeming to finally notice her presence.
[F/N] couldn't help but shiver, For some reason feeling disturbed. Like a lion eyeing the lamb grazing in the field.
"Oh. They're mine now, They were laying out so I took them." He stated through a mouthful of her tobacco. An empty expression as he stared down at her, No regard for the fact that he had stolen her cigarettes.
Well they were stolen by her in the first place, But the sheer disregard of guilt for what he had did just made [F/N] all the more angry. Who did this guy think he is? Whoever he was he was weird as hell.
Hanging from the streetlamp? Chewing her tobacco? Not to mention that weird spike sitting atop his head, That to his toes he was dressed so strangely as if he had tossed on anything given to him without regard to colour or weather.
[F/N] gritted her teeth, What a nutjob.
"What kind of philosophy gets you to think that?! Give them back, You bastard!" [F/N] snapped at him with the best face pre-teen her could pull. Teeth wide and bared, Arms crossed in frustration.
The boy just hung there, Not reacting to what she said though he did stop chewing momentarily. Then he shrugged, The cigarettes he was clutching in his hand let go, Making them fall down onto the pavement which [F/N] scrambled to pick up.
"Whatever. They taste disgusting so you can have them." The boy said, Watching her as she fell to her knees collecting her fallen cigarettes with apathy. [F/N] grabbed the last of them, Shoving them into her bag with a furious scowl as she looked back at him.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! I barely have any tobacco left cause you chewed it all! What are you even doing up there, You prick!" [F/N] bit as she held the leftovers of whatever little snuff she had left in her palms.
The boy rolled his eyes. And in a move [F/N] didn't expect she watched him pull back, All before the legs locked around the streetlamp branch let go making him fall towards the ground.
[F/N] yelped, Stumbling back. The boy's feet slammed against the concrete pavement, His elvish shoes clacking against the side as he stood up to his full height with no apparent damage at all.
She stumbled back, Blinking as if to see if it was a hallucination or not with an open maw.
How the hell could he have dropped from the streetlamp to the pavement without any damage? The boy stood there, He was older than her and in his teen years so whatever kind of parkour training he must've had was very impressive for his age.
But [F/N] bit back a shiver, Could a boy in his teens really pull that off?
"You humans are really weird, Your candy is nasty and you don't even know who you're talking to. Though I suppose you don't know any better." The boy shrugged as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his tattered coat.
[F/N] gawked. First he had hell of some acrobatic skills, The next he had some real annoying superiority complex. Who even gave him it in the first place? Didn't matter, Didn't stop [F/N] from balling up her fists either.
"First of all, This isn't candy. These are cigarettes you dum-"
"-If they aren't candy, Then why do they smell like candy?" The boy butted in rather rudely, Sleep deprived eyes burning into her own without any sense of remorse.
[F/N] groaned.
"Because these are flavoured, Idiot. You don't chew the tobacco, You roll it up and you smoke it for the flavour. Ever heard what a cigarette is?" [F/N] chided as she reached into her bag to present a cigarette to him sarcastically.
The boy blinked.
"No." He replied.
His response caught [F/N] off guard. It was so honestly spoken and genuine that she couldn't help but drop her shoulders and guard along with them. Did he seriously not know what a cigarette was..?
"Well.. Ehm.. It's kind of this thing that you roll up with the.. The tobacco-" [F/N] stumbled over her words, Not sure how to explain to someone older than her what a cigarette was "You know what? Let me show you."
The boy didn't have any time to react as the end of a cigarette was shoved into his mouth.
His eyes widened, Not registering how [F/N] had marched up to him and done it so bluntly to him. Him of all people! Were all humans really as rude as this one was? She was starting to get on his nerves.
"Okay, Now that you have it in your mouth you just light it up at the end. You good with smoking?" [F/N] prompted, Not knowing why she was doing this but asking anyways. The boy looked back at her, Before rolling his eyes and letting out an okay with the cigarette in his mouth.
"Good" [F/N] said, Pulling out the lighter from her sweater and holding it up to the end of the cigarette, One rolled in cherry pink paper and tasting like it looked. "Okay.. Three, Two, One.."
The lighter sparked up, A few faulty clicks before the burst of an ember lit up at the tip. It caught onto the cigarette rather quickly, The burn of the snuff starting to flicker and burst out into a flame of its own.
[F/N] moved the lighter away, Lowering it down to her side.
"Alright, Now purse your lips like you're whistling but suck it in instead. Make sure to support it!" [F/N] said, Her hand snapping up to hold the cigarette with two fingers as it near fell out of his mouth.
The boy huffed but ultimately did what she had said, Watching as his lips pursed like he was whistling then his lungs inflate. [F/N] let a small grin slip as she watched his face light up slightly, The light in her fingers lowering from his mouth.
"Good, Huh?" [F/N] asked as she watched his lungs shrink in his puffed out chest, The vaguely pink smoke erupting from his lips and drifting off into the midday air. Sizzling out in the brisk of the day.
He looked down at her, Apathy more of an aftertaste now as the light finally returned to his eyes in an interested glimmer.
"I want more, Give me more, Now." The boy demanded, Taking a determined step closer to her with a hand already stretched out. [F/N] huffed, Dropping the cigarette astringent with cherry into his open palm.
"Tasty, Right?" [F/N] commented as she walked back towards the bench, Plopping back onto the rickety wood and lazily crossing her legs. The boy raised the cigarette back up to his lips, Repeating her instructions to the t.
The boy blew out another burst of cherry scented smoke, Tongue licking his lips as it went.
"It tastes like cherries, I want more of it. Where can I get it?" The boy asked, Turning to her as she lazed around on the bench, Relaxing against the back. [F/N] shrugged, Shuffling a single hand around in her bag before fishing out another cancerette.
"I dunno, I didn't really buy these myself and I don't know where the adults get 'em. So.. You'll need to ask someone else" [F/N] replied as she pulled out the lighter and struck up another flame on her green apple cigar.
The boy only hummed, The spark on the cancerette burning out in finality. No more smoke being produced, Leaving it to only be tossed away on the concrete pavement beside him as he sauntered over to the bench's direction.
"What's your name anyways? Seems awkward not to know it." [F/N] asked, The words leaving her lips with the scented smoke following only moments after.
"I'm Amaimon, It's nice to meet you." He said with a shrug. Though his words were polite his visage still showed that same resting face, Deep eyebags and all as he crouched down beside the old bench. She huffed, What a strange name.
"Mine's [F/N], It's cool to meet you too." She replied as tossed him another cigarette from her bag, Amaimon catching it mid-air. Another flavour, Another one to light as he held it up his snuff to her lighter.
It flicked on and just like that it was back to silence once more. The rustle of the leaves in the tree's was all that could be heard, Along with the faraway laughter of the kids in the park and the occasional car that passed by.
[F/N]'s eyes couldn't help but wander over to the boy crouched down beside the bench. It was a weird position, Only held up by his tippy-toes as he smoked out the saccharine cigar. His own golden eyes targeting nowhere.
[F/N] looked away, The wind still dancing through her hair as they sat in a somewhat comfortable silence. He was odd, Odder than the other teenagers she had met. She wasn't even thirteen yet she wondered if he was as strange to her as others his age.
He seemed so. With such fashion and behaviour she'd certainly think as such.
"So, Why were you hanging from a streetlamp? How'd you even get up there anyways" [F/N] asked, Blowing out a puff of smoke as her lips finally spoke of the elephant in the room.
Amaimon looked up at her, Licking his lips as if to taste the smoke.
"It's fun, I like the wind. The air here in Assiah is much fresher than the air in Gehenna, I climbed up there with my claws." Amaimon said as if it made any sense at all. [F/N] raised a brow.
"Assiah? Gehenna? Claws..?" She queried.
"Yeah. I'm a demon." Amaimon replied as he crushed the finished cancerette within his fist, Tossing it away on the ground as he was unaware of the expression on the girl's face.
[F/N]'s cheeks were puffed up, Lips squeezed together and her nails digging into the edge of the bench. She snorted, A noise that made Amaimon's head jerk over to her, Watching as she tried to supress a laugh.
"Why are you making that face? What wa-"
"BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-" [F/N] let out a howl of laughter, One so loud that she near keeled over on the bench. Amaimon watched as her free hand clutched her chest, The biggest grin showing as tears started to water at her eyes.
Amaimon's dotted brows knitted together, The razors of his teeth starting to bare from his maw.
"You're laughing at me, Why.. Are you making fun of me?!" Amaimon snapped as his back arched up, Unseen clawed hands starting to dig into the concrete of the pavement as he watched her hysterical laughing fit.
[F/N]'s laughter died down into a giggle, Wiping away the tears from her eyes.
"No-! No.. I'm not making fun of you, It's just I understand now, You know-" [F/N] chortled as she pointed to all of him, Smiling as she watched him look at the rest of himself for whatever she could be pointing at.
"You must be one of those gothic people I use to see on the TV, The one's that call themselves demons." [F/N] said, Relaxing back into the bench as she tossed her used cigarette away.
Amaimon tilted a head.
"..What?" Amaimon asked.
"I don't wanna be offensive! You do you, Just.. They actually exist, You know?" [F/N] explained to him. Amaimon just looked back at her with a blank expression, Seemingly confused.
"..Yes, I am a demon. See? Look at my teeth, They're not like yours" Amaimon said as he raised a finger to pull back his lips, Baring his teeth to [F/N] as his face grew closer to hers.
[F/N] blinked. Apart from the obvious fact that he needed a tic-tac and a good floss, His teeth really weren't different from hers at all. The canines he was pointing to were just like hers, No deviation.
"Yeah, Right. I have those kinds of teeth too, Dude. Demons aren't even humanoid, They have claws and horns and are beast-like. You don't have those." [F/N] said, Looking at his overgrown and dirtied nails along with his swampish hair. No demonic traits to be found.
Amaimon closed his mouth, Eyes drooping back down to their original shape.
"Oh.. You can't see it, You don't have a temptaint." Amaimon said, Turning away back towards the road. Dropped shoulders and all as he went back to staring into nowhere whatsoever.
[F/N] shook her head.
"Whatever you say dude, Whatever makes you happy." [F/N] shrugged as she closed her eyes, Taking the sunlight into her skin. Feeling the air on the back of the neck, Her hoodie really didn't do it justice.
Back to uncomfortable silence it was, He had no response after hers as he went back to staring off into space. [F/N] breathed out with no cancerette in her mouth this time, Only the slight wisps of cold vapour leaving her mouth.
"Why are you still here anyways? Don't you have teens your own age to hang out with and not some random child you met in the street?" [F/N] asked to him.
Amaimon's eyes darted back up to hers, Seemingly now only noticing the age difference between each other. Especially the height.
"Other humans my vessel's age are all too weak to play with.. They're boring after only a minute." Amaimon answered, Though now turning fully over to [F/N] "But you're not currently boring, Even though I haven't played with you yet.."
[F/N] snorted slightly as she watched his expression trail off into something more interested, One of his overgrown fingernails entering his mouth to be chewed on.
"You're not too bad yourself, Amaimon. You're weird, I like that." [F/N] giggled as her hand managed to wander itself over to the top of his head, Her fingers weaving their way into the swamp green of his hair as she ruffled it mockingly.
Though he froze, Just as her fingertips touched his locks.
"Huh..?" Amaimon muttered as he finished chewing on his fingernail, Body rigid as if he didn't know what was happening. [F/N]'s grin shortened, Fingers leaving the strands of his hair.
"Oh.. Sorry, Should've asked.." [F/N] mumbled as her arm retracted to her side, Though it didn't stop the petrified stance Amaimon sat in. Still staring off into space with his eyes widening further and further every second.
THUMP!
There it was again.
THUMP!
And again, Some strange thumping inside of his chest.
His ribcage rattled in its place, Almost like it would burst out from his vessels flesh. His hand grasped at the right of it's chest, Teeth gritting at the strange sensation. One he had never felt in his entire existance.
"Amaimon..? You good..?"
He jolted up, Eyes snapping back into focus at her words.
"Do it again!" Amaimon ordered. Hand still grasping a cluster of his striped shirt, The thumping continued on. Cheeks heating up into a warm pink.
[F/N]'s lips turned into a frown. Her guard that was down before started to raise, Rebuilding itself into what it was before. This was still a stranger, She hadn't even known him an hour. What was she doing?
"Eh.. I think I should get going now.. I need to do-"
"Again! Now!" Amaimon cut in. Voice raising in a crescendo as he grew closer and closer to her on the bench, One she slid further back on to try get away. But his hands lunged out to her wrist, Entrapping her in place.
[F/N] yelped as his palms tugged her towards him.
"A-Are you insane?! I- Fine, Okay! Just let go!" [F/N] cried as she was near pulled off of the bench, Soles of her shoes digging into the pavement in an attempt to keep her stable.
Though his grip was let go. Amaimon pushed himself up on the bench, So close to her now that his burning breath was felt in the pores of her skin. She could see his too now as her hand went to massage her aching wrist.
"Do it!" Amaimon urged, An unspoken threat.
[F/N] gulped, Not hesitating to do as he said as she slipped her fingers in-between the folds of his hair. He was taller, Older than her. Athletic by how he hung from the streetlamp and the chill she got when looking into his eyes was all the convincing she needed to comply.
Amaimon shuddered, Face lowering down from hers as he felt the unsure ruffles of his hair. His head rested against the bench beside her, Feeling the frigid fir against his cheek. So cold but strangely warm and comforting.
[F/N] swallowed down what little saliva was in her dry mouth, Sweat starting to grow and infest her palms as she played with his hair.
She was terrified, Shaking as she did so. [F/N] needed to get out of here, This wasn't right. She had thought of herself so mature before, So adult and cool with the cigarettes she smoked on the daily.
But as she raked her fingers through his hair, She knew very well that she was still the little kid who cried not to follow her friend into the depths of the woods.
"How are you doing this..? Are you a demon? A witch..?" Amaimon mumbled, Near melting into the lumber of the bench. What he had figured out was his heart started to beat faster and faster, A machine churning out some.. Human feeling inside of him.
[F/N] sniffled slightly, She wished she never took those cigarettes in the first place.
"It doesn't matter.. This must be it, This must be what you humans talk about when you say you love your family. I've never understood it.. You humans are just animals. Not like us demon's but.." Amaimon trailed off, Turning his head to face hers.
"You're not like the other humans, You're different.." Amaimon muttered. Hand lunging out to grasp her wrist once more as her movements slowed down, Both in fear and terror as she yelped out. Staring into his eyes.
"You're fun." He whispered.
[F/N] felt the tears prickling in her eyes start to drip, Start to fall down her cheeks. He wasn't acting like this before, He wasn't so.. So terrifying. He was just a strange boy she smoked with!
But she needed to get away, She needed to tell someone-
But her train of thought was cut off by the biggest of grins spreading across his face, One that seemed so unnatural upon the apathetic usual of his face. It was contorted, So visceral that she could never look away.
[F/N] stared at it and the tears streaming down her face only grew.
"Let's go have fun! I wanna go play! Big brother told me to learn more about Japan and it's becoming boring, But having you around will be fun! Come on!" Amaimon urged, Starting to tug on her even harder. Pulling her off the bench as her behind hit the hard concrete pavement.
"L-LET ME GO!" [F/N] cried out.
"I'll introduce you to my Behemoth, He's my pet! Big brother also said that I couldn't bring him out with us on his business meeting, So you'll need to come with me now so I can show you to him." Amaimon tugged even harder, His strength herculean and pulling her along easily as he started to lug her upwards.
[F/N] wailed. Her free arms raising and flailing against Amaimon in a desperate attempt to escape, Feet kicking at his shins and her shrill voice calling out for anyone that could hear her.
But there was no one around, No one except her smiling assailant dragging her along with him.
Though his grin dropped slightly as he looked at her face.
"Why are you leaking from your eyes? You should be smiling right now." He asked, His noise pushing into her face to examine the foreign substance coming from her ducts. He blinked, Tilting his head to the side.
[F/N] cried out, Sniffling hard.
"I'M NOT SMILING CAUSE YOU'RE KIDNAPPING M-"
HONK!
The distinct sound of a car horn came barrelling down the street. The grip on her wrist was freed, Amaimon's hand letting it slip from his grasp.
[F/N] stumbled back, Near tripping over the bench before she fell back onto it. She whined out, Examining the redness of her wrist and the pain on her skin. No injury luckily, But was still stinging.
"Y-You bastard.. How can you.." [F/N] sniffled, Looking up at him. But he wasn't looking at her, Instead he was looking far off down the road with a surprised expression plastered on his face.
HONK!
[F/N]'s eyes expanded, Matching Amaimon's as her head snapped over to the roadside. The car horn was louder now and the tune of which it hummed was unmistakable. Her mouth went dry, There was no way.
But as the hot pink limo sped down the suburban streets, The sound of the chipper horn playing out once more, [F/N] realised she was in hot shit. That horn was famous across Japan, That car was famous.
It was Johann Faust V's car, The wealthy foreign socialite and the headmaster of True Cross Academy. He was renowned for both the school's rich reputation and the flair for his projects, Namely the biggest theme park in the country!
But how could he be here?! This was some middle-class part of town, He was known to reside in True Cross Town. The chances of him being here right now were slim to none, But not if..
"No way.. This is your brother?!" [F/N] gawked, Jumping up from the rigid bench to an even more rigid stance. Eyes glued to the limo slowing a few feet down from the pavement, Watching it like a hawk.
Amaimon only bit the fingernail in his mouth a little harder.
"I wasn't suppose to be out this long.. I was suppose to return but I got side-tracked.." Amaimon muttered to himself as the limo finally parked a bit away from where they stood, He turned to look at her.
"But Big Brother will understand when he sees you. He'll like you just like I do, I know he will. Then I can keep you. This fraternal feeling is nice, Isn't it nice for you too?" Amaimon asked, Ignoring the shaking of her body and the redness in her eyes.
[F/N] shook her head, Backing away.
"I.. I, Uhm.. I don't.." [F/N] trailed off, At a complete loss for words. "It is nice isn't it, Little sister? I'll go talk to Big brother and see if I can keep you, Stay put and I'll be back." Amaimon said, Turning and running towards the limo down the street. The window already rolled down as he skittered to a halt in front of it.
[F/N] gulped, Still shaking as she wiped away her tears.
Whatever the hell that was, [F/N] wasn't ready to stay around and find out as her hand pounced at the straps of her bag. She lugged it over her shoulder, Eyes never leaving Amaimon's turned back as she started to sprint away.
If he was associated with Johann Faust then she didn't want to be apart of it. She didn't want to deal with whatever lawsuit that could be put against her, Especially if Amaimon told him that they were smoking, She was lucky she shoved all the other cigarettes away in her bag.
But she ran past the youth centre doors, Passing without batting a single eye.
She didn't want them to find out she was living there, That would be easy for them to torch her out. So as she ran, Rubber burning off her soles she knew she had to hide out for a little while.
Somewhere in the plaza or the shopping streets, Somewhere with a lot of people. Just for a few hours while this all cools down, So the staff don't find out she stole any cigs or was communicating with Johann Faust's bizarre younger brother.
So she ran and she ran, Sprinting further down the streets. The youth centre got smaller and smaller behind her, The arguing speck of Amaimon and the limo became only more miniscule as she ran.
All of this just for a few hours, Just so this crazy dream would all be over.

NEW FILE DROPPED
The new audio version of Manduhluh is out and available for download. It's on the least expensive Patreon tier, because I love it a lot and I want more people to hear it.
Manduhluhs are circular bimbofication mantras. The last word connects to the first word. That's complicated sounding, but simple in practice. It means you can say them over and over - for hours. It's a circle. "Pretty please tell me I'm pretty" is a great example. It's easy to repeat, and audio engineering makes an ongoing round by layering. It sounds really trippy and I think cool.
The new file is notable for simple design (back to basics) - and also the AMAZING ALL STAR CAST. I am not tagging, because I don't want to presume folks want tagging, but here's the list of hot vocal all stars in the coven. Every one is hotter than hot.
Black Beauty Forever
Bliss
Bun Li
Bunny Llama
Dizzy Dollie
Erin the Puppygirl
Flux
FromScratch
Ginger Snaps
Jade
Korrupted Innocence
Pipp
Tink
(They'll also be getting unpaywalled copies, of course.)

Halo Reloaded: Hangry
Within the Spartans' private area in Fleetcom HQ, a situation was brewing that could only be described as... domestic. Linda and Kelly were caught in the throes of an epic battle, one that had nothing to do with the Covenant, but everything to do with the rumbling discontent of their stomachs. It was a hunger so profound, so primal, that it threatened the very fabric of their unit's camaraderie. Meanwhile, John-117 and Frederic-104 watched in bemusement and mild horror as their normally unflappable comrades transformed into hangry behemoths.
John approached the dilemma with the gravity of planning an interstellar campaign. "Aw, dammit." he exclaimed, eyeing the mess hall's locked doors with a mix of desperation and resolve. Linda, the sniper whose aim was as sharp as her current mood was foul, shot him a glare that could curdle milk.
"John, I love you; but if I don't get something in my system right this second, I will not be responsible for the imminent deaths of anyone who stands between me and a decent meal." she snapped, folding her arms—a gesture that somehow managed to convey both impatience and a menacing promise of violence.
On the other side of the room, Kelly, whose speed was legendary, was now using that attribute to pace a trench into the floor. Fred, ever the voice of reason, attempted diplomacy. "Kelly, bunny-bun, you're going to wear a hole in the titanium flooring at this rate." he chided meekly, only to receive a look that could easily strip paint.
"I will wear a hole in the floor, the ship, and then proceed to run on the vacuum of space if it means getting something to eat, Fred," Kelly retorted, her voice a mix of jest and deadly seriousness. "And why is it that you boys don't have to deal with this? What, did they program you to photosynthesize?"
Fred, caught between amusement and fear for his life, shrugged helplessly. "I guess they thought we'd be too busy carrying heavy things and brooding thoughtfully into the distance."
Recognizing that the situation was deteriorating rapidly, John took decisive action. "Fred, you hit the mess hall. Charm, bribe, threaten—whatever it takes. I'll raid our emergency stash. We've got about five minutes before mutiny."
As Fred sprinted away, John turned to face the women, a man preparing to negotiate with dragons. "Ladies, if you can hold off on eating the junior Spartans for just a few more minutes, we'll have food."
Linda, leaning against a wall with a huff that suggested she was entertaining the idea of just how many calories were in a standard-issue MRE wrapper, nodded once. Kelly, meanwhile, ceased her pacing and eyed John with a mix of skepticism and hope.
What followed was a frenzied ballet of military efficiency and sheer panic. Fred returned, his arms laden with what looked like the entire contents of the mess hall's pantry—his charm offensive had apparently been successful, or perhaps the cooks had simply feared for their lives. John, meanwhile, unearthed a cache of emergency rations so old, they might as well have been made by the Forerunners.
"Here," John announced, laying out the assortment with a flourish that was utterly wasted on his audience, "a feast fit for... Spartans."
Linda and Kelly descended upon the food with the kind of enthusiasm usually reserved for victory celebrations or the discovery of new weaponry. "You are both," Linda declared between bites, "marginally less terrible than starvation."
Kelly, her mouth too full to form coherent words, simply raised a hand in a thumbs-up, her expression one of blissful relief.
The episode, while certainly a departure from their usual brand of heroics, served as a poignant reminder of the Spartan-II's humanity. Yes, they were super-soldiers, capable of extraordinary feats of strength and bravery. But at the end of the day, they were also just people—people who got hangry and whose day could be made or broken by the simple acquisition of a good meal. It was a humbling thought, one that brought a rare smile to John's face as he watched his team, his family, united in the face of adversity... or at least hunger.

➽───────────────❥
Felix x Reader
A/N: To the lovely people who requested these there were three very similar requests so I have made some changes to all three and combined them into one story, I apologize but I do not want to write a similar story three times or more over.
A/N: In some translations Danae means she who judges
A/N: I hope you are all having a good holiday season! Drink water, take care of the mental health. I am trying to write much more now that I actually have no school to worry about for the upcoming six months so hopefully more will be coming out soon

➽───────────────❥
The walls felt cool on your back. In fact, it was the only thing grounding you from the fact that all you wanted to do was scream from the pleasure filling you as you kept sliding up and down ever so slightly with every thrust. I felt one of Felix’s hand gripping your thigh more or less keeping you in place, the other pressed too softly against my throat. The strength I gained from immortality had proven to be a perk whenever I decided to try anything new like this. Felix had proven too eager to please now that you had finally been turned. Our breaths came out in pants, moans escaping our lips every so often.
“I do wish you wouldn’t hide from me Danae, I would have joined in.”
A primal growl escaped from deep within Felix’s throat, “We’re busy.”
“Yes, I can hear that but it seems we are about to be called into a trial soon, so I would suggest getting yourselves decent.”
I couldn’t stop myself from laughing at Felix’s clear irritation. “I guess we’ll have to pick this up later,” I brought his face towards mine for a kiss deep enough to let him know you were not finished with the plans you had made for your day off.
“There is no guessing little one. We will be finishing this later.” He pushed against you one more time. He moaned against your lips but set you down gently. Both of you making quick work into changing into guard ready attire. You do your best to walk and tie your hair up in a sleek ponytail. Supposedly, it’s the only I ever have a chance of looking the slightest bit intimidating. With quick precision you lined your eyes and touched up any possible makeup that had more or less been smudged with the last hour.
You found Demetri leaned against the wall outside of your shared quarters, “Sorry to interrupt you two.”
“No… you aren’t. Wipe the smirk off your face Metri.” Felix gently pushed his forward and you trailed behind the two. Jane strode up next to you as Alec went ahead with the two males.
“Gross. I can still the two of you on each other.”
“Play nice Jane,” I responded ruffling the young girls hair, “Don’t hate love.”
The young girl stuck her tongue out at you, and then linked her hand in yours. I could hear Felix ask Demetri how much they had before we all had our audience.
“About 15 minutes. Its that Cullen boy.”
“Cullen? Carlisle’s coven?”
Demetri just nodded as he pressed forward, “Mhm. I think Aro believes he is finally offering his services to our cause.”
“Services? What can he do?” I had heard about Carlisle and his rather… complicated relationship with one of your leaders. No one had brought up him siring any others.
“Mind reading cara. Different from Aro, he can read whatever is in the forefront of your mind but he has no need to touch anyone.”
“Sounds invasive.” I grumbled, why would anyone want that around them.
“It is. Lets hope he’s not actually here for that. I don’t see the need for that anyway. Aro may have to work a bit more to understand what everyone is thinking but his gift is not a necessity.” Felix echoed your thoughts.
Jane’s hand squeezing your was enough to jar me from asking anything else, “Danae…could you do my hair before we into the trial?”
“Sure hun, braid today?”
“No there is not much time, could you just do a bun?”
“You can’t do it yourself sister?” Alec teased
“I can, I just like it when D does it.”
“I can do your hair if you really want me to Alec.” I winked at Jane and let her pull me aside for a second while she pulled out some ties. It was a simple bun really, you decide to put a small braid around it while she pulled pins from a small pouch she carried with her at all time. She handed a ribbon as you put the second pin in her hair to secure the braid, “Well you certainly came prepared, didn’t you?”
“I knew you would say yes.” She smiled as she grabbed your hand once again. I couldn’t help feeling a protectiveness over the young vampire. She had such a sad maturity behind her eyes, you had found yourself bonding to her first. You found out later that it had stressed your now mate beyond your comprehension. As Jane and I descended into the throne room, I took in the once terrifying throne room. While the methods that your family had come to use were not always pretty they were you found out, necessary. It was hard remembering all of the details from your human life, you had been unfortunate enough to be found in the middle of a rather serious confrontation. It was supposed to be a walk to clear your head on what your next step in life was.
You remember walking for so long you got lost. A beautiful parallel to where you were in life. Lost. Not knowing what you were doing. Confused. Unsure of whether you had made the right career path. You had spent your life forcing yourself to be good at school, studying the hardest subjects, just for a chance to get out of the home you had learned to hate. A family stitched together by necessity and hate. You had learned to differentiate different kinds of footsteps. Learned different ways to hide. Learned ways to escape. By the time you finished college, you only went back out of a need to for a warm place to sleep. Often times, even that was not promised. You snuck out of your room again after the yelling began, two angry pair of feet stomping towards you. Surely to ask you to start paying more than you already were towards their house. You were tired. So tired.
While you knew you had shielded yourself from everyone, you would have never expected that included supernatural beings. It was so late, seeing two of the most beautiful creatures you had ever seen huddled over what you would later find out was another one of their kind. Someone making a show of their meals. Felix and Demetri had been sent out to take care of the issue. Demetri made eye contact with you first. Beautiful, you thought. There was no other word to describe him but it was the other vampire that would captivate nearly every thought from then on. Beautiful too, but in much different light.
“Felix.” The blond one said tentatively
Felix. The man turned around to face me. A face so used to masking emotions in stressful situations faltered. “How—”
“I- I’m not sure.”
“We… should take her to Aro.” Demetri nodded at his friends suggestion. He began stepping forward, this was enough to register the danger you were actually in. Your legs twitched, ready to sprint, knowing it would mean nothing.
“Relax darling, we just want to talk. It seems you’ve caught us at a bad time.” Demetris voice was satin, “Felix, why don’t you take our new friend to pick up whatever she needs for her trip I’ll see if I can find her after I’ve finished…cleaning up?”
Felix turned to walk towards you. Run, that’s what your body wanted, as if your legs were screaming at me to run. Sprint. Walk away. Turn around. No command worked. You had become a statue in your own right. Felix gently had rested a hand against your arm in an effort to get you to start moving forward. You remember looking up at him still unable to move, every instinct was screaming at you. You were going to die. So, why were you so calm?
“I don’t believe we have met properly, little one. I’m Felix.”
“Danae.”
He chuckled a bit, as if surprised, “Did that name mean something to your parents when they named you?”
“Maybe, my grandmother gave it to me.” A distraction. A very well thought out distraction. And you fell for it all the same.
“Well, Danae. Let’s take a walk and I can explain everything you saw tonight.”
“Doesn’t feel like I have much of a choice.” You grumbled. Still, you took his outstretched arm. He immediately explained what you had just seen. That you couldn’t be allowed to go back home. It didn’t necessarily sound like a bad thing if you were being honest. If you came back now, and they were awake… your bruises had just healed from the last time you misjudged. It was always worse for you when you finally came back after a while of hiding, the punishments never got easier. If they did it was only when they had forgotten what they were so angry about in the first place. You had managed to stay away long enough for them to forget they were even mad a few times.
“Would you like to go pick some things from your home?”
“Not really. I probably do need some clothes I guess.”
“That’s all you want?”
“Yeah? I don’t need anything else. But since you guys are vampires I’m assuming you can help me sneak in?”
“Of course, this is rather… sudden. Would it be easier to leave a note or we can have someone make it appear as though something happen.” You should have been concerned, shocked maybe that it would all happen so quick. He wanted you to hesitate. But this was the only chance you might get.
“No. I just need my clothes. I don’t want to stay in this forever.”
“We can always acquire some newer clothing items later as well.”
“Perfect. I only need to get a few things then.” Felix stared for half a second too long. Too eager. Way too eager. He had become eerily silent until you made it to the run down house you had been forced to live in for entirely too long. Felix scrunched his face probably reeking at the smell of alcohol and cigarettes even you could smell from the outside. You pointed, “Is there anyone in that room? Can you tell?”
“I can and no. It appears whoever is in there is asleep.”
You breathed out a sigh of relief, “Thank god.”
You could worry about how he knew they were asleep later. Right now you would focus on avoiding any questions as you felt his eyes burn a hole in the back of your head as he helped you in. You went straight to your closet as quietly as you could, you moved a wall panel and grabbed a backpack and turned back to face Felix. It had been ready for years, but where would you have gone? You had next to nothing.
“Ok. I’m ready.”
Felix ignored you. His eyes scanning the room. It was the only time you’d felt frightened around him. He seemed to understand something you were not ready to divulge quite yet. He glided over to your bed, lifting it with ease. You shouldn’t have been surprised his vision was heightened along with his other senses. He set the bed down too gently for someone his size. Going to another spot where he seemed to inspect the floorboards. You had taken to make sure nothing would seem out of place. Yet, he seemed to know what you were hiding under one of the less creaky boards. He made no move toward it, just stared. He stood there for a few seconds longer, you noticed he had stopped breathing.
“Felix? I want to go now.” His head slowly turned to the side, nodding ever so slightly. You scrambled down, eager to get away from this house and not worry about being dragged back, or being forced back from lack of funds. Anything, literally anything seemed like a better option. Even if it meant an eternity of being frozen like Felix and Demetri. Thirsting for blood for your only diet. Better than being starving, you supposed.
You wondered when Demetri would show up, the walk through different alleys was painfully silent. Felix stopped you somewhere barely illuminated by the night sky, “what was under the floor?”
“Nothing.”
“I have no time for games Danae. What was it?”
“It feels like you know already.”
“There was blood all over that room.”
Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment, “there’s not.”
“There was. Covered by bleach maybe but stains everywhere.”
“I—what does that have to do with the floorboard?”
“The smell is stronger there. You realize you’ll be living with creatures that thirst for blood constantly?”
Embarrassment. Shame. Guilt. You weren’t proud of how low you had stooped. “It won’t be an issue. It was a long time ago. The knife there is only in case I needed to protect myself.”
“Da—“
“We are done with this conversation, Felix.”
Demetri jumped down from another building, “Nothing. I had to look for you.”
Felix nodded, “take her back to the castle. I left something at the square.”
Demetri scoffed but shrugged off his friend, carrying you off towards your new home.
“Danae.”
“Hm?” Caius’ voice cut through the air, you wondered if you would ever not flinch at the sharpness in his voice. An unfortunate side effect to his voice being all to similar to your late fathers.
“I assume you’ve been briefed on the individual on its way here?”
“Yes, Master Caius.”
“Good. You please ensure your gifts surround the entire guard in attendance.”
“Of course.” You had never been able to use your gifts in a trial. Like Felix, I wore the cloak of a lesser guard. Someone meant to fade into the background, not that Felix ever blended anywhere. Caius was risking you no longer being a secret. You wondered just how intrusive the Cullens boy gift could be. You had to work quickly as the younger vampire threw the doors open to the throne room, hardly waiting for the secretary to let him in. Officially I couldn’t stand him, was he always this rude?
“Edward to what do we owe the… pleasure of this visit?” Aro tried his best to remain calm
“I come asking for assistance.” His eyes darted to all three kings. Probably wondering why the sudden silence
“Assistance? In what?” Caius made no effort to hide his annoyance
“I wish to be done with this life. I have nothing left for me.”
That seems a bit dramatic. Aro motioned for him to come forward and show his thoughts. Edward didn’t hesitate. It wasn’t until you were past his eyesight that you glanced at Felix. He waved his hands ever so slightly, then placed them back to his usual position. Calm down, he warned. Your faces must have given you away. I suppose it wasn’t shocking he knew you were annoyed yourself, you often had trouble keeping your face void of your own personal feelings towards others.
“You can tell us, you know?”
You looked at Felix, his voice chillingly quiet. “Hm?”
“We’re all broken here, little one. We may understand better than you think.”
God you’d put your poor mate through the ringer. It’d taken years before he finally broke through the wall you’d spent years building up. Jane had been the one to get you to officially talk about what had happened, as young as she was she was the best bet anyone had at building up your shield, but it was Felix that saw how deeply it affected you. Telling your story was quick, it was after all, done and over with. No need to dwell on it. Felix was the one to ask the hard questions to make sure you were really alright. Slowly you both dug deep into your experiences, trading stories in exchange for telling your own.
You’d grown to accept eachothers past. Now you couldn’t imagine living without him. So, in a way, you understood the crazed vampire standing before you. Aro made sure to squash any sympathy remaining.
“You told her about the secret?”
“Yes.”
“And Alice knew how the girl would react to your disappearance?”
“Not the jump. I foolishly hoped her vision had been wrong.” He gave out more details to all but ensure the nail in his coffin, “you saw how reckless I was to be involved with a human. I even caused a pile up in a desperate attempt to try and save her from a nomad.”
“Yes. James, Victorias Mate.” Victoria? One of the girls from Heidis coven?
“I almost endangered the secret when I saved her in the parking lot. Clearly, I have done more than enough to warrant punishment.”
“Indeed. However, true. We…” he gestured to his brothers, “decide a worthy punishment. It would be rather rude of us to not let our dear friend Carlisle know of what’s to come.”
Edwards eyes shone bright with panic. This was not part of his plan. “My family had nothing to do with this.”
“Perhaps not but, instead of leaving the already skeptical town you live in, you convinced them all to stay. They should all be smarter than that.”
“Please, there is no need to involve them. I take full blame.”
“Oh of course young Edward. But as you said punishment is in order, a swift death hardly seems to fit the crime.” Aro turned to Caius, a silent conversation happening before turning back to Edward, “or perhaps we do nothing, after all the secret has not actually been compromised from what you have shown me.”
“B-but…”
“Perhaps as a favor to an old friend? Yes.”
Edward concentrated on Aro. Desperate to know what he was really thinking, “So that’s your final judgement?”
“Yes I believe so. Brothers do you have any hesitations?”
Both shook their heads and waved him off, Edward walked out of the room slow for even a human, only pausing at the door “Thank you for the audience.”
Everyone was still until we could no longer hear his footsteps, safe from hearing distance.
“What’s your actual plan brother?” Caius asked
“Unfortunately, what I said was true. There is no definitive way to prove he endangered our kind. He will force our hand sooner than you’d think.”
“Felix, Demetri. Be on standby please. We wouldn’t want anyone to make a scene at the festival. After all, it is in honor of our dear Marcus.”
“Don’t you tire of using that joke, Aro.”
“Not really, no.”
The rest of you were excused from the throne room. As the kings continued their conversation. A secretary already dispatched to call Carlisle. Felix and Demetri left to keep an eye out. You were left to laze around until then. Maybe Heidi knew more about what was going on with Edward if she happened to keep in touch with her old coven mate, then again her old coven was such a touchy subject for her. You decided against it, Heidi already had a lot on her plate with your day today. You all waited around the throne room for the moment the Cullen boy would inevitably return. Fortunately you did not have to wait long. Unfortunately, he did not return alone.
“What a happy surprise! So Bella is alive after all. Isn't that wonderful? I love a happy ending... they are so rare.”
Jane had been sent out shortly after Felix and Demetri, apparently speeding along the process. Edward explained Aro’s gift to Bella, conveniently leaving out that his gift had no use at the moment. Aro decided to see if Janes powers worked on Bella when his failed, stupidly the Cullen boy tried to protect her. The girl was screaming at Jane to stop.
“Ugh are you kidding me?” Oh god I just said that out loud, didn’t I? Caius smirked at your outburst, you would never live this down, “sorry.”
“Quite all right my dear, is there something you’d like to say?” He was absolutely baiting you but well…better to say you misunderstood not like he could tell you would be lying.
“I just find interesting that she’s crying over someone who knew exactly what leaving would do to her. Bloodsinger or not, he lied to her. Look at her. She looks like she hasn’t ate since this guy left.”
“Knew?” She turned to him, and the tiny vampire that accompanied them, “you knew and you left me anyway?”
“Bella please understand.”
“So you meant it? You didn’t love me?”
“If he loved you we wouldn’t be here right now.” You grumbled, “and you know what while we’re at it? This is the guy you lost it over? He couldn’t even be bothered to go visit a headstone before deciding it was time to die? I mean—“
“Danae…” Aro raised his hands urging you to calm down
“Sorry.” You could see Demetri fighting a smile, but you could almost guarantee Felix was going to scold you for being so bold in front of the kings. Aro continued with Janes test on Bella. Nothing, as suspected.
“Hahahahahaha. Remarkable. She confounds us all. So, what do we do with you now?”
“You already know what we have to do Aro.” Marcus cut in
“She knows too much. She’s a liability.” Caius stated afterwards
“Tsk. That’s true. Danae?” Me? I was not an executioner of any kind. Then again you’d just made a scene to rival the ridiculous ginger haired vampire, so I suppose there could be a worse punishment. You were almost immediately tackled by Edward, but your mate had trained you well. And he was weak, to be quite frank. You managed to throw him towards Felix, who effectively held him still as you stalked back towards Bella. You saw Demetri holding Alice, you wonders if she had tried to help her brother. You were steps away from the dumb founded girl when Alice chimed in,
“Wait! She’s going to be one of us. I’ve seen it.” She pushed away from Demetri but Aro held his hand up.
“That will not be necessary.”
“She could be useful someday. She obviously has some kind of abilities.”
Behind you Edward struggled to gasp out a single “No…Bella.”
“Has Edward not told you? We have our own shield of sorts. Edward hasn’t been able to use his gift since stepping in this room.” Alice glared at him for the lack of information. He struggled against Felix. Alice’s scanned the room looking for anything that might help them. “Can you guarantee no one else knows of our kind?”
Her hand flinched back instinctively, “Well, she didn’t— not really. She told someone who already knew.”
“Shut up. Alice. Shut up!” She dropped to her knees, she had come into your small town to save someone unknowingly dooming someone else in the process. “No… no no. She’s lying!” The gravity of her choice was settling in. Giving up her own life meant little to her but to punish a friend for what? Someone who she now knew didn’t care for her enough to stay behind. Such a shame. You almost wanted to comfort her, but this was part of the job. She couldn’t go back.
You looked towards Aro. He nodded as you stepped forward, “I am sorry about this. You deserved… better.”
You turned her toward Edward both now kneeling on the ground, he was thrashing to try and save the girl he got into this mess. You wondered how Aro would force him to live. Bella’s screams filled the room. Edward snarls echoing in reply. It only took a minute to drain her. Felix effectively ripping off Edwards head as her body dropped to the ground. You wondered if that would be the last thing he saw or if Aro was ensuring he wouldn’t try and bring matters into his own hands again.
“I was hoping for a happy ending this time.” He turned to the tiny vampire who was frozen in fear of what was coming next, “Alice you can either stay here and await for the tour today to wrap up or suffer the same fate as your brother. We will wait until Carlisle can come so we can explain any…misunderstandings. Heidi should be here any moment.”
There was a squeak that seemed to escape Alice as a sign of agreement as she stood to the side to await for the remaining member of the coven to join the rest of you for the tour. You wondered if she would partake now that you had your fill. The tour came and left you were able to get seconds since Alice was to numb to move from her spot. Every once in a while she would let out a small whimper but nothing more came from her. The lower guard were released minus yourself, Felix and Santiago as you had to wait some more for Carlisle.
“Is Edwar— I mean are you….”
“We have no plans in letting him die dear Alice.” Aro said bored. The secretary poked her head in after a while to let everyone know the other Cullens had arrived. “Felix, put our friend together again please. We don’t want to make a bad impression. Gianna, bring them in please.”
The pair came in hesitantly, the woman’s eyes glazed as if she had been crying. “Welcome to our home Carlisle!…I assume this is Esme?”
“Aro.” He nodded his down slightly to the leader of the three, waiting too long to answer his questions. Staring into his eyes too long for anyone to miss what was happening, “yes, this is my wife and mate.”
“Hello. I’m…so sorry there’s been a misunderstanding”
Aro tilted his head “…yes. It would seem so. Shall I debrief the events that occurred these last few days?” Edwards screamed as the venom glued him back together. Esme tried to rush over to him but was stopped by Alice. A quick head shake in warning of what could happen. She grabbed her husbands arm as she turned back to face the leaders.
The pair nodded as Aro went on to explain how Alice’s vision has come true. Bella had withered away, Carlisle flinched when Aro explained how Alice saw Bella jumping. What we now know was cliff diving, and explaining how Alice had immediately told the Cullens that had been around what had happened when she did not see Bella come up. Alice was told to explain about the reservation and holes in her visions. Another name you were unaware of, Rosalie, broke the news to Edward who decided to call Bella’s home. Where the misunderstanding took place. The rest was quick.
“I appreciate you sparing my son.”
“Sparing? He is still being punished. But as you all can’t seem to respect the law you will be the one to carry out his sentence.” Carlisle and Esmes eyes grew wide, the former looking at his old friend, begging him to reconsider with a single glance.
“Oh it’s nothing like that Carlisle. You are both to ensure he stays alive and out of sight from humans at all times. This does mean you will likely have to stop human interaction so much but, we think he should have to pay for the life of that poor girl. And you all broke the one tule we have at the end of the day. If Edward decides he doesn’t actually care about his family the way he claims he does, you will be the one to end his life.” Aro said calmly
With that everyone was silent. Edward would love a miserable existence, never able to complain about the volturis rather gracious act. From any other perspective at least. And punishment is still served. Edward couldn’t lift his eyes from the ground.
“You may go.” Caius waved them off, the stumbled against themselves as they began exiting the room
“Oh Carlisle?” Aro stopped them, “if anyone from that reservation says anything, it will be your job to take care of all of those children as well. Are we clear?”
Carlisle’s lips tightened into a thin but nodded as turned without so much of a goodbye to his old “friend.”
Finally, everyone was dismissed. Today felt…dirty. I felt dirty. It was time for a bath. Felix started one before you said anything,
“Are you alright?”
His hand caressed your face as you waited for the water, while o be honest you weren’t sure. You felt…fine? But also, guilty?
“I don’t know. It seemed so unnecessary all the things that guy did. He knew the risks, did he think he could get away with it? Or maybe he thought Carlisle’s friendship would save him?”
“Well. It did save him. Aro would not have been so generous to anyone else.”
“Does it get easier?”
“Being the one that finishes the job? Yes and no. You learn to compartmentalize.”
“Sounds exhausting”
He chuckled, “it can be. Let’s try not to get too riled up in front of the kings, yes? You get away with for being a newborn more or less but I doubt they will let it slide again.”
“I mean he deserved it. I thought you would have been proud of me.” You playfully nudged him away. Sticking your tongue out. Playfully getting closer to dangerous territory.
“Proud? Yes. Always. But I would rather not have to punish you for something we can control.”
“I don’t know, you punishing me sounds like a good time.”
“Hmm. I do recall being interrupted while we were in the middle of something earlier?”
“This is true, should I invite Demetri? He was so eager to join us.” A growl escaped from Felixs throat as he scooped you up, a smirk growing on his face as he threw you down on the bed.
“ I suppose we’re going to find out exactly how much you enjoy punishment after all.”
