The problem with it is that it’s not made out of clothing fabrics so it doesn’t fit very well and it turned out veryy revealing sadly. I made the halter neck too long. Oh well I’ve gotten a lot of experience from this and it’s a good first try for not having a pattern to follow. 🪡 🎀 🧵 🪡
(Also look at me doing the little coquette clothing haul scrunch on the sides of the top lmao😭)
During this project I’ve learned how to sew buttonholes!!!!!! lol I always misread that word. When you sew buttonholes you use a special presserfoot. The picture in the middle are practice buttonholes. 🪡💕
That’s all!!! I’m hoping to actually find some sewing patterns soon as this was a bit of a struggle but other than that I did alright!!!😊

My POC is finished. My two big custom demos are finished as of tomorrow. We've closed on the house but aren't moving for another month. We're three days away from the reception.
I'm so close to having a life again. A week from now, I'll have a normal working schedule again and no active outside-work-hours projects. I'll have no personal projects. I can write again. I can go to the gym again. I can finally start working on my massive TBR book pile. I can pick back up my gf pie crust experiments. Free time!! I can't wait.
The string ones were from some old thrifted curtains
[Image ID: 8 homemade pins. Five of them are bottle cap pins. One is a large green pin woh a white spiral, one is a large darker green pin with a sunflower, one is a smaller anarchy symbol, one is a red one with they/them pronouns written on it, and the fifth one is a skull with eyes. The last three pins are string tassels attached to safety pins. End ID]
These two visible mends are a bit different from the others, in that I did them (well, 99% of them) on stream! We spent a good volume of time working on that triforce, which was made out of a woven picot stitch, using some dyed-yellow sashiko thread. Near the end of the stream, however, we noticed that the corner of the other pocket also needed some repair, and added a few black stitches to make a little void patch.
After the stream, I decided the little guy needed eyes, so I threw two silver french knots on the top of the affair. Personally, it reminds me of the grue, from Zork, just two eyes flashing in the dark, but I've gotten several people mentioning the soot sprites, which, admittedly? I can see!
https://youtu.be/gLOhWEJrpeo?si=fjAfOlNdICsHMM4X want to hang out while I work on this? Like I said, I did it on stream, here's the VOD!
Yeah, thrifting is fun but no one ever talks about the wave of sadness you feel everytime you find a personalized/special thing, realize you're holding an important part of someone's life and wonder how something so special ended up on a rack in Goodwill for $8
I don’t think I shared but I finished this quilt top! I’m still having a think about what color I want for the backing but I’m thinking a dark dark green.
You can't in one breath call DIY HRT "dangerous" and advocate that trans people just "do what the doctors say". I have seen SO MANY girls be prescribed a DAILY DOSE of 50 to 100 miligrams of cyproterone acetate WITHOUT ESTROGEN for MONTHS!!
Do not "just listen to doctors" for crying out loud!! They often have no fucking idea what they are doing when it comes to trans healthcare. Educate yourself and DEMAND proper care, proper doses.
If your doctor refuses and keeps you stuck with insufficient levels, go to a different one. If you can't do that, do DIY (it IS SAFE if you know what you are doing).
