Tumblr media
“What the hell is taking Tommy so fucking long?” Ellie whines. She’s sprawled out on the couch with her head in your lap, and her arm draped over her eyes. Her feet are hanging, dangling over the edge of the couch at an odd angle after you’d warned her not to get muck from her sneakers on the linen fabric. Despite Joel insisting over and over that she head on back to the house, she had stubbornly refused, not wanting to leave your side. “It’s been over two hours! He’s taking fucking forever, man. What’s the fucking hold up?”
Joel bites back a sigh, masking his own impatience. Or at least, he tries. He’s grown just as restless as the kid, if not more. Much like Ellie, he’s desperate. He’s itching to take you home already, almost too anxious to watch you take that first step over his threshold, and into your new life with him and with Ellie. He aches, aches, to get you settled into the place where you would be spending the remainder of your days with one another, where you would be safe, and loved in the way you deserved to be loved—the place where he would cherish and adore you until his final breath.
“Don’t know,” he answers, his voice sounding rougher, more gruff than usual. Reaching up, he scrubs his hand down the side of his face, adding tiredly, “He might be a while longer, kiddo. It could be another hour, could be more. Like I already told you, s’probably best if you just go on and head back to the house without us, alright?”
“No. I’m not walking out that fucking door unless she’s with me.” She pauses and pulls her arm away from her face for a moment, just long enough to throw a teeny glare his way. “Unless you’re both with me. The three of us go home together, or it’s no fucking deal. Got it?”
He shakes his head in utter exasperation.
“Ellie, we’ll be right here down the fuckin’ road—”
Her hand shoots out and she flips him off.
Just when he’s about to chastise her, he stops himself, clamping his mouth shut. It’s pointless.
Kid’s too goddamn hard headed for her own good, and Joel knows he’s just wasting his breath with her.
“I’m sure he’ll be back soon,” you reassure them both, weaving your fingers through her hair to scratch at her scalp in an effort to soothe her. “Right, Joel?”
He meets your exhausted, worn down gaze from where he’s standing across the room, and his heart lurches in his chest. As the guilt begins creeping in, he’s forced to look away. He can’t imagine the living hell you had been through over the last twenty four hours alone. And the worst part about it was the realization that last night, while he was fast asleep in bed just a couple of houses up the road, that fucking bastard had his belt wrapped around your throat.
Joel feels sick to his fucking stomach all over again.
Horrifying, vividly real images of you helplessly trapped underneath Luke scratching and clawing at the leather around your neck with trembling fingers, struggling to breathe oxygen into your burning lungs as he tugged it tighter and tighter through the buckle flash in his mind, a gruesome nightmare turned into reality.
Exactly how far had Luke taken it?
Until you had grown too weak to keep fighting?
Until you almost lost complete consciousness?
Until he noticed the life threatening to leave your eyes?
Is that when he had finally stopped pulling on the belt?
Joel shudders, a bitter taste climbing up his throat as it sinks in. He could have lost you—and his unborn child.
This shouldn’t have happened.
He shouldn’t have let you walk away that night.
This wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t let you walk away from him that night.
“Joel,” you say his name, quiet and weary.
His head snaps back in your direction and he glances at you, almost missing the subtle shake of your head. It is a silent warning telling him not to go there, though you know by the tight clench of his jaw it’s too late for that.
Joel makes the futile attempt to hide it, but he sees it written all over your face—you know what he’s thinking because you know him like the back of your own hand, and you just know he’s placing all of the blame for what happened to you on his own shoulders.
But can you honestly fault him for that?
How can you expect him not to feel like he is somehow responsible for this? Just how the hell is he supposed to make himself believe he hadn’t failed you?
Joel promised—he had fucking promised you—that he wouldn’t let anything bad happen to you. He had sworn to keep you safe, made a vow to protect you from Luke, but here you are, your soft, delicate flesh marred with the painful evidence of yet another one of his failures.
And it was all because he had let you walk away on that fucking night.
He should have done something.
Even if it meant running the risk of you never speaking to him again—even if you never forgave him, spent the rest of your life angry and hating him for going against your wishes. He should have something.
“Joel—”
“Be right back,” he mutters, lightly shaking his head.
Shoving away from the doorframe he’s leaning against, Joel pivots on the heel of his boot and starts down the hallway. He walks into the kitchen where he finds Maria standing at the counter, tapping her fingers against the smooth, laminated oakwood as she waits for the coffee she’d offered him a few minutes ago to finish brewing. She’d offered to whip up a quick supper, but food was the last thing on everyone’s mind.
“Tommy’s been gone for a couple hours now. Girls are startin’ to get real tired of just sittin’ around waitin’ for him to come back,” he tells her, exhaling the sigh he’d held back in the living room. “What do you think could be keepin’ him so long?”
With her back still to him, Maria reminds him, “Well, he did mention he was going to round up the council and get them together for an emergency meeting.” She lets out a sigh that matches his own—it’s been a long night for her, too. When the last drop of dark roast drips into the glass pot, she carefully takes the pot by the plastic handle and pours the steaming coffee into a speckled, white and blue ceramic mug. “Do you take it with milk and sugar?”
“No thanks, that’s alright,” he declines as politely as he can.
“I also have cinnamon if you’d like?”
“Plain black’s just fine.” He gives her a nod of gratitude when she hands it to him. “Thank you. And I don’t just mean the coffee, but for, uh—for bandagin’ up my hand for me, too.” He clocks the brief look of surprise on her face and almost laughs. He doesn’t blame her for being taken aback, because truth be told, so is he. Since he’d met Maria, he had known she didn’t trust him as far as she could throw him. There was something of a mutual understanding between them, a silent agreement they had made to keep each other at arm’s length, to only interact when it was absolutely necessary.
Never did he think he would be standing in her kitchen, thanking her for patching up his hand, and for making him a cup of coffee out of the kindness of her heart.
His brother wouldn’t believe it.
“Don’t mention it.” Crossing her arms over her chest, she leans back against the counter. “How’s it feel, by the way?”
“S’fine,” he replies, shrugging. “Nothin’ I can’t handle.”
There’s a momentary silence. A taste of tension lingers over their heads, and he knows at one point or another, he’s going to have to address the affair, the very reason everything had unfolded in such a terrible manner.
Guess now’s as good a time as fuckin’ any, he thinks to himself with an inward sigh.
Joel lightly clears his throat. “Listen, since we’ve got a minute alone, just the two of us, I was wonderin’ if, uh—if we could talk ‘bout somethin’? If that’s alright?”
“Of course.” Maria gives him the floor.
“I know that she—” Pausing, he shuffles from the heel of one boot to the other, his ears burning hot. He had known it wouldn’t be an easy conversation to have, but he underestimated just how uncomfortable it would be, regardless of what she already knew. “I know she told you and Tommy all ‘bout us, and ‘bout our relationship. See, the thing is, the first time I saw her—”
Again, Joel stops, the burning sensation now radiating, spreading from his ears to his face and down his neck, flushing his skin a deep, deep shade of pink. Unable to meet his sister in law’s gaze, he glances down into his mug, as if he will somehow find the right words to say somewhere in the depths of his coffee.
“It was never my intention, y’know,” he finally says after a minute. “Goin’ after a married woman. I swear, I never meant to fall for her. I just fuckin’ did. I think I might’ve fallen for her long before I even met her,” he confesses. He feels himself darken to a shade of maroon under her curious stare. “And somehow, for reasons I ain’t all too sure I’ll ever understand, she fell for me too.”
Maria raises an eyebrow at him. “Look, I’m not judging you, Joel,” she assures him, shaking her head. “If that’s what you’re thinking. I’m not judging her, either.”
He looks up at her, blurting out, “You’re not?”
She moves her hands to cradle her swollen middle. “Do I wish you two had handled everything differently?” she answers her own query with a nod of her head. “Oh, I’m sure we all do. But I’ve known her for a long time now. I know the kind of woman she is. And I’m starting to see the kind of man you are.”
“And what kinda man is that, Maria?”
He waits without the slightest clue as to what she could possibly say.
“Since you came back to Jackson, I’ve chosen to keep my distance from you—but make no mistake, I’ve been watching you like a hawk since day one. Waiting for any signs of trouble. Waiting for you to fuck up. Waiting for you to give me a good reason to throw your ass out of this community because I didn’t trust you. Not after all the things I was told about you.”
He snorts. “You goin’ somewhere with this?”
“You are not who I thought you were,” Maria admits, smiling wryly. “I’ve gotten to see a different side of you. You pull your weight around here by doing your job and doing it well. You stay out of trouble—for the most part. And more importantly, I have seen the way that you’ve stepped up to be a father figure to Ellie. It takes a good man to do that, Joel.”
“Think that’s the nicest fuckin’ thing you’ve ever said to me,” he muses, setting his mug down on the counter. “I stepped up because I love her. I love them both. Those two, they’re the best parts of me. They’re the reasons I keep goin’ and now I’ve got another reason on the way.”
Maria smiles, but it vanishes as quickly as it appears.
Catching her hesitance, Joel asks, “What? What is it?”
“What comes next is not going to be easy,” she warns him, lowering her voice. Even with the living room a fair distance from the kitchen, she doesn’t want to run the risk of you overhearing her. “For as hard as we’re going to try to contain the fire, it will spread, and everyone in this town will find out about everything—including the affair. People are going to talk, and believe me, they’re going to have a whole lot to say about it, Joel.”
He can’t help but roll his eyes at her.
“Think I can handle some fuckin’ gossip, Maria.”
“I know you can. But I’m not sure if she can,” Maria tells him, quietly. “It worries me. She’s been through a lot in just one night alone. I don’t want her stressing anymore than she already has. She is in a very delicate stage of her pregnancy right now, Joel. If she’s not careful, she could have a miscarriage. She had one about two years ago when her father became sick—” Observing his lack of a reaction, she realizes, “You knew that already.”
“Yeah,” he sighs. He knows where she’s going with this. “I did. She told me ‘bout it.”
“It makes her chances of having another one higher—”
Joel doesn’t even allow himself to think of it happening to you again. “I get it,” he interjects, trying not to sound too curt. “I’ll make sure she takes it real easy, alright?”
Lifting a hand off her belly, she reaches out and takes a hold of his forearm, gripping it tightly.
“Promise me something, Joel. Promise me that you’ll look after her,” Maria pleads him, gently. “Please. After everything she’s been through—I need you to promise me that she’s going to be in good hands with you.”
He nods. Without thinking, he places his hand over hers in an unexpected token of affection and reassurance. “You have my word, Maria. I’ll take good care of her.”
She gives his arm a grateful squeeze, then glances over his shoulder at the clock on the wall. “It’s getting pretty late. We don’t know how much longer Tommy’s going to be with the council. Why don’t we just go ahead and call it a night?” she suggests. “We can all get together first thing in the morning at your place to talk about it.”
“Yeah, good idea,” he agrees. “She really needs to rest.”
Maria gives his arm another squeeze.
“Go on then, Joel. Take your girls home.”
Tumblr media
“Finally!” Ellie exclaims with a dramatic flail of her arms as she shoves through the front door.
“Alright, kiddo. Get your behind upstairs and into the shower,” Joel instructs her, flipping on the lights in the foyer. “Y’smell like fuckin’ horse shit.”
She lifts the collar of her shirt to her nose, takes a whiff, and makes a face. “Yeah, I won’t argue with you there,” she mutters. She toes off her dirty sneakers and leaves them beside the door before dashing up the staircase, taking two steps at a time.
He shouts after her, “And don’t use up all the hot—”
“Yeah, yeah, I fucking know the rules, dude!”
Moments later, you both hear the shower going.
“Little shit,” he grumbles.
You exhale an amused huff through your nose.
Joel withdraws his arm from around your shoulders and reaches for your hand, lacing your fingers together. “C’mon, darlin’.” He guides you up the stairs and down the hallway into his bedroom where he switches on the light before proceeding to lead you over to his dresser. “I’ve got a bunch of shirts in this top drawer here,” he says. Dropping your hand, he pulls it open for you and gestures to it with a jut of his chin as he takes a step backwards, moving out of the way. “Go ahead and pick one to sleep in tonight. Want you to be comfortable, so help yourself to whichever one you want, sweet girl.”
Nodding, you begin to rummage through the drawer, unaware of the moment he slips away. You reach for a t-shirt, but then a plaid green flannel catches your eye. You pluck it from the drawer, running your fingers over the soft, warm fabric. “Is it alright if I wear—?” You turn around, stopping mid sentence when you realize he’s no longer standing behind you. Puzzled, you follow the sound of running water into the bathroom where you find him kneeling beside the tub. “Joel? What are you doing?”
“Runnin’ you a bath.”
You notice the bloodied bandage beside him on the tile floor. “Joel, are you serious?” you scold him. “Maria just patched your hand up for you.”
“S’okay, peach. I can rewrap it when we’re done.” Joel sticks his injured hand under the faucet to check the temperature, the cold water soothing his cuts. Once it turns warm, then hot, he pulls out his hand, waiting for the tub to fill halfway before shutting the faucet off and rising to his feet. “C’mere, sweetheart.” He rolls the sleeves of his shirt up to his forearms, then beckons for you with both of his hands. “Let’s get you washed up.”
You remain standing by the door. “Joel, you don’t have to do this for me.”
“I know.”
“I’m capable of washing myself—”
“Yeah, I know that too,” he says, chuckling. “S’only fair, darlin’. Don’t you think?”
That’s when it hits you—how this moment is mirroring that night you had cleaned Joel up after you and Ellie had brought him home from the clinic with an injured shoulder. He allowed you to take care of him, and now, he was looking to do the same for you. And all you had to do was let him.
“But your hand—”
“Will be just fine,” Joel persists, stubbornly. “It’s nothin’ but a few cuts and scrapes. C’mon—or else I’m gonna march right over there and get you myself, peach.”
Knowing Joel, you certainly wouldn’t put it past him to throw you over his should and carry you to the bathtub.
“Fine,” you relent with a small sigh of defeat.
Setting his shirt down on the sink, you slowly walk over towards him and whirl around, letting him help you out of your knitted cardigan. You finish undressing yourself, inhaling a deep breath as you muster up the courage to turn back around and face him—when you finally do, it feels like a punch to the gut to see the heartbreak in his dark brown eyes, the subtle tremble of his bottom lip. You don’t have to look at yourself in the mirror to know it looks about a hundred times worse when you’re not wearing clothes.
Keeping your arms down at your sides, you fight every urge to cover yourself up. You’ve never felt so fucking vulnerable.
Clearing his throat, Joel holds out his hand. “C’mere.”
You accept it, and he helps you into the tub.
“How’s the water? S’not too hot, is it?”
You shake your head and he leans forward, kissing your temple so sweetly, your eyes flutter closed.
He washes your hair first, then takes a clean washcloth, lathering it up with a bar of milk and honey soap—the same soap he would smell on your skin all those nights. Admittedly, Joel preferred castile soap, but switched it when he found himself missing you during those weeks you were apart from him, when he needed the comfort of your scent. He is gentle with you, so gentle, as if he’s afraid you’ll shatter into pieces in his hands.
As he lightly drags the washcloth up your back and around your neck, you stiffen, prompting him to freeze too. “Fuck. Baby, did I hurt you?” he asks, and you hear the slight panic in his tone.
“No,” you say quickly, desperately trying to swallow the lump rising in your throat. “No, you didn’t hurt me. It’s just—” Every overwhelming emotion slams into you all at once, and you can’t seem to figure out which one to feel first. Humiliation? Fear? Relief?
The water sloshes around you as you pull your legs up to your chest and wrap your arms around your knees, giving yourself permission to feel them all. Bowing your head, you begin to sob quietly, hoping that Ellie, who is just down the hallway, won’t hear you crying again.
Joel says nothing. Washcloth still clutched in his hand, he leans forward over the edge of the tub and wraps his arms around you, pulling you close, or at least, as close as the barrier between the two of you will allow him.
“Joel,” you choke, trying to push him off. “Stop it. Your clothes, they’re getting all wet.”
“Hush. Don’t fuckin’ care ‘bout my clothes,” he croaks, and for a second, you swear he’s about to cry too. But he doesn’t. He holds himself strong. Tugging you closer against his chest, he buries his nose into your soaking wet hair, whispering his reassurance. “You’re okay, baby. You’re safe, my sweet girl. I’ve got you, alright?”
He pulls back slightly, dipping his hand into the water, placing it on your lower belly.
You look down, your eyes glazing over his bruised and battered knuckles. Proof that Joel Miller really would do anything for you.
“I know you do,” you say, softly. “I know you’ve got me, Joel.”
A while later, you’re dried, dressed, and composed. You follow Joel out of the bathroom and back into his room, where he has you take a seat on the bed. Noticing you had missed a button on his flannel shirt, he does it for you. He plants a kiss on the top of your head and says, “Give me a minute while I change.”
He peels off his wet clothes, being careful so as not to further agitate his sore, injured hand. After changing into a pair of gray sweatpants and an old, faded black t-shirt, he turns around only to find you’re sitting in bed underneath the covers.
“Sorry,” you apologize with a nervous chuckle as you rest your back against the headboard. “It just looked so warm and cozy—and it smells like you. I couldn’t resist making myself comfortable.”
Joel pads over to the side of the bed. He leans over, planting one hand on either side of you as he dips his head and brushes his lips against yours. “Ain’t got no reason to apologize, baby,” he assures you in a gentle murmur. “This is your bed now too, peach. This is your room. This is your home. Alright?”
Home.
You’re home.
He touches the tip of his nose to yours, and then draws himself back up to full height. “There’s somethin’ that I’ve gotta take care of downstairs, peach. I won’t be too long,” he promises.
Tumblr media
It’s almost midnight. Joel goes about the kitchen and he prepares you the quickest meal that he can think of. He plates the sandwich he’d thrown together and pours a glass of cow’s milk—he’s always sure to keep a pint of it in the refrigerator to make the kid her oatmeal in the mornings.
He heads back upstairs, only to find that while he had been gone, Ellie had joined you, making herself a little too comfortable on his side of the bed. He stands there at the door, watching the two of you.
“Hey, so is it true babies can hear stuff while they’re in there?” Ellie questions you, curiously.
“Mhm,” you reply with a nod. “They can hear music, for example. Voices—”
“Voices?” She smushes her face into your stomach and he hears a muffled, “Hey, dude!”
You giggle. “Ellie, I think it’s still a little too early.”
“When do you think it’ll be able to hear me?”
“I’m not too sure. In a few months, maybe?”
Ellie lifts her head, humming. “You know, I bet there’s baby books in the library,” she tells you as she sits up. “I’ll have Dina help me look for one tommor—oh shit.” She stares at you with wide eyes. “Dina! How are you going to tell her and Talia about Luke?”
Joel grimaces. He hadn’t thought of that, either.
“I—I’m not too sure.”
“You have to fucking tell them. Dina has to know about him. She has to know what a piece of shit he is, and so does Talia.”
Sensing your discomfort, Joel steps into the bedroom and intervenes before she can say another word. “Ellie, get to bed. S’late.”
“But—”
“Don’t make me tell you again,” he warns her, sternly.
She huffs, rolling her eyes. “Fine.” She climbs off the bed and on her way out, she eyes the plate in his hand. “That chicken?”
“Turkey. And it ain’t for you, it’s for her. So scram, kid.”
“Couldn’t have made me one while you were at it, old man?”
“Ellie, if you don’t get outta here right now—”
“Alright!” Ellie holds her hands up. “I’m leaving. Jesus.”
She disappears, closing the door behind her.
“Pain in my ass,” Joel mumbles, shaking his head as he walks over and carefully perches himself beside you. He hands you the plate. “Here, darlin’.”
“Joel, I appreciate this, but I’m really not very hungry.”
“Maybe not, but y’gotta eat,” he insists. “Baby needs it.”
Thankfully, you accept it without further protest.
“I’ll have Ellie get your things tomorrow,” Joel states as you’re eating. “Maria can go along with her since she knows the house. They’ll get your clothes and whatever else you might need outta there.”
“My father’s belongings.” You accidentally talk through a mouthful of turkey and bread. Swallowing, you tell him, “I have some boxes of his stuff in the basement. But they’re way too heavy for either of them to carry.”
“I’ll take care of that for you.” He reaches up, wiping a breadcrumb from the corner of your mouth with his thumb. “I can ask Tommy to give me a hand. Don’t you worry, peach. We won’t leave your dad’s things behind, I swear it.”
Relieved, you shoot him a grateful look, then polish off the last few bites of your sandwich.
“Here,” he says, offering you the glass of milk. “Figured it’s good for you, and good for the baby. Y’know, since it’s got calcium and…stuff.” He shrugs sheepishly, no clue as to what he’s talking about. “Vitamins, right?”
Nodding, you grab the glass and take a reluctant sip.
“You hate milk,” Joel realizes, raising an eyebrow.
“I do,” you admit with a laugh. “But you’re right. It’s good for both me and the baby, so cheers.” And with that, you somehow force the entire glass down.
He sets the dishes aside on the nightstand, figuring he can take them downstairs first thing in the morning.
Without bothering to rebandage his hand like he’d told you he would, Joel turns off the lights and climbs into bed with you. “All those nights wishin’ I could bring you home,” he muses as you curl into his side. “Wantin’ nothin’ more than to hold you in my arms in this bed. In our bed.” His arm slips around your shoulders, a laugh rumbling through his chest. “Almost doesn’t feel real, darlin’.”
Tilting your head, you nuzzle your nose into the scruff of his beard, prompting him to laugh again. Then, he remembers his conversation with Maria, and his smile fades from his face, his lips pursing together.
You catch the sudden shift in his demeanor.
“Joel? What’s the matter?”
“M’fine, baby. It’s just—” He hesitates. “From this point forward, I need you to let me handle things.”
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t want you gettin’ all stressed out, alright? I don’t want to run the risk of you—” He’s unsure of how to say it.
“Of me losing the baby,” you finish for him, quietly.
Joel winces, knowing he was wandering into sensitive territory. “Yeah. I—I really don’t want that to happen.” He pauses. “Maria mentioned to me you’re in a delicate stage. When do you reckon you’ll stop—how long until you don’t gotta worry ‘bout it?”
“After twelve weeks, my risk isn’t as high. If I make it to the second trimester in six weeks, then my chances of having another miscarriage are lower.”
Though you speak calmly, he clocks your anxiousness.
You’re worried, and he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t fucking worried out of his mind too.
Being a father at his age wasn’t ideal, but he wanted this child. It was part of him, and more importantly, it was a part of you.
Joel squeezes your shoulders. “I only ask ‘cause I was thinkin’ that, y’know, once we get to that point, maybe I can go ahead and start buildin’ the baby’s crib.”
“You’re going to build the crib?”
He nods. “And the highchair too. I can even make you a diaper changin’ table if y’want one.”
“Joel.” You can’t help but chuckle. “Our worlds were just turned completely upside down. You just found out that I’m pregnant, and you’re already thinking about building furniture? Aren’t we getting a little ahead of ourselves?”
“Hey, those things take a whole ‘lotta time,” he says in defense of himself. “Besides, winter’s right around the corner and I don’t wanna be out in the garage freezin’ my fuckin’ ass off. If I can get a head start now, I can have them all done in the spring by the time the baby comes.”
You fall silent.
“What’s on your mind?”
“I’m really scared of losing it,” you confess. “When I first took that pregnancy test, I wanted nothing more for it to be negative. Now, I’m terrified I won’t make it past my first trimester again. I really don’t want to lose it. I want this baby, Joel.”
He turns his head, meeting your eyes in the silver light shining through the lace curtains over his window. “S’why you’ve gotta let me handle things, darlin’. Okay?”
“Okay.”
“C’mere, my sweet girl.” Joel presses his lips to yours, murmuring against them, “I love you.”
His declaration comes with natural ease.
And so does yours.
“I love you too, Joel.”

Shadow and Flame pt. 1
Azriel X Reader
Synopsis: Azriel is down bad in his feelings for Elain when a new female crosses his path. The job of the Shadowsinger is to know all and yet you evade his knowledge.
Warnings: None
A/N: Hello. This is my first time writing a fanfic for this series. I hope you like it ✨
Part Two
----------------------------------------------
“Whilst we wait for Lucien, let's play a game. Fuck, Mate, Kill, High Lords edition, our own brother excluded of course. I mean there's days I want to do all to him”
“Ugh Cass” Nesta recoiled at her own mates idea of a bar game, the group laughing.
“Hardly fair to Feyre when she's done or almost done those to more than two already” Rhys growled at Mors joking tone, the table continuing its howling. Rita's music swelled around the booth of the best friends, lightheartedness well and truly arriving once again to the group.
“Az you go first”
“I politely decline Cass” protests followed his words
“Leave poor forlorn Az alone”
“I am not forlorn Amren” the Shadowsinger tried his best to not grit out the words.
“I would consider pining after Elain to be pretty forlorn” Amren gestured with her head to the middle Archeron sister making her way  back to the booth balancing a tray of drinks.
“Stop saying that word” this time Azriel couldn't hide his annoyance.
“-Right well anyways, I think we'd all kill Tamlin -” the group hummed in agreement to Cass as Azriels mind disengaged from the conversation.
Was that how he'd been feeling? Had the feelings of creeping crawling rising abandonment at the hands of his brothers for their mates affected him more than he thought? Why couldn't he have what they had with Elain? It made sense to him, but why didn't it make sense to the Mother? He shook this from his head as he frequently did. Elain joined the table once again, passing around the drinks.
Azriel tore his eyes from her movements and landed them on the crowd of dancing Velaris residents, when a new figure approaching the bar top had his eyes transfixed.
He watched the female dip between the crowd so masterfully as if she was made of the same shadows that rested peaceful around him. She effortlessly passed the dancing Fae in candlelight.
“Earth to Az” Cass’ hand waved in front of his hazel eyes pulling Azriel back to the booth for a moment to sweep away his brother's paw. His eyes darted back to the room to find the female gone again.
“What is it Lassie, Timmy stuck down the well?”
“What does that even mean Cass?” Azriel couldn't ignore the bizarre statement.
“I'm not sure, I read it in a human book once”
“I didn't know you could read” Cass feigned hurt at Feyres comment, the table of friends laughing.
“Up until about last week you definitely couldn't Feyre”
“Uncalled for!” Freye laughed hard at Cass’ comeback.
“Anyways, what is it Az….Az?” Cass found the seat next to him empty, the Shadowsinger long mingled into the crowd.
You reached the bar top skillfully, your hand reaching up and retrieving a drink ordered by someone else and dipping back to your side before the bartender noticed. You gave a small smile into the tumbler of icy brown liquor as you turned back into the room, ready to push back off. Your gaze immediately caught the Shadowsingers eyes as he leaned on the back wall watching you. He simply raised an eyebrow with a small smirk. You sighed lowly, replacing the drink back on the bar top next to a tea light candle without removing your eyes from Azriels. You narrowed your eyes at him, the crowd dancing and swirling across your sightline. Azriel finally blinked and found you gone from the spot when his eyes flickered back open.
You crossed the threshold of Rita's into the streets, a little startled someone had seen you, a new occurrence.
“You don't care for another drink?” The males voice stopped you in your tracks at the mouth of the adjacent alley. You curled your hands into small fists and exhaled out. Caught. You had been caught.
“Don't go shy on me now” you slowly span on your heel to face the male. Azriel felt his breath hitch slightly at the sight of you in the firelit street lights. He felt a bit dazzled by your beauty, piercing copper eyes previously inhibited by the dim and smoky light of Rita's.
“Can I help you Azriel?
“How do you know me?” He couldn't hide the hint of surprise in his voice. You closed your eyes gently, sighing deeply at your foolish slip up before opening them again.
“I don't”
“Why don't I believe that? Who are you?”
“If I told you that, I'd have to kill you” you gave a small smile, angling your head gently, tempting him to step in closer to your magnetic eyes.
“I'd like to see you try”
“That can be arranged Shadowsinger” he scoffed at your cocky tone. You turned back to face the alley, quickly dipping down it but not fast enough. Azriel flashed before you, sidestepping you to where your back met the cold brick of the alley.
“I asked your name” he stepped in close to you, your eyes looking to the exit to the side of him, only to have his wings open slightly to trap you inwards. You sighed, looking up through your eyelashes to find his eyes fixated downwards on you.
“I'm not anyone important”
“Nonsense, every resident of Velaris is important“
“And who said I was a resident of Velaris?” you couldn't hide your smugness from him as he seemed to scan your face further, checking it again the rolodex of Fae in his mind to find a gap in knowledge.
His shadows leapt around him in alarm at being caught out with a stranger. A true stranger. Who were you? Shadows crossed his face to try to relay information and when they settled again you were gone from in front of him.
His wings dropped, his head turning uncharacteristically frantically from side to side only to now find you across the street. You gave a small wave with just your finger tips with a small gloating laugh before running down and into the winding streets of Velaris. Azriel moved to follow you only to crash right into Lucien.
“Are you never not in my way?!” Azriel couldn't help but bark at the emissary.
“Hello Azriel, how are you? I'm good thanks for asking? Yes I do forgive you for walking into me, of course I-”
“Just leave it” Azriel signed, ducking around him to run to cross the street. It was no good, you were gone he thought, but how? And who?
*************
“Az stop pacing, you're not helping the hangover” Cassian ran his hands down his green tinged face, regretting going as hard as he had the night previous. Lucien giving a small laugh to the Illyrian, picking himself up from the sofa to head to the kitchen for tea.
“I have no idea who she was and that's my job. How could I not know who she was?”
“I'm not sure Az but Cass is right, please sit down, you're giving us all motion sickness” Rhysand joined the group in the sitting room of the town house, a soothing tincture for Feyre in his hands. She smiled up lovingly at her mates gesture, more pangs of jealousy passed through Azriel.
“Let me see into your mind Az, I'll draw her, maybe one of us knows her” Azriel weighed up Feyres offer. He hated letting them behind his shields but he needed to know who you were. He thought of your face in the candle light again, did he want to share you with the world? He weighed up the options before agreeing, Mor having already retrieved a scrap of paper and a pencil for Feyre.
The group gathered around the sketch of you freshly drawn. One by one group shook their heads, unsure of the Fae in front of them, sending Azriels heart sinking again.
Lucien strolled back into the sitting room, tea tray in hand. The crash of the tray had the group's startled reaction landing on the Emissary.
“Oh my Gods seriously! My head” Cassian groaned, covering his face with a throw pillow. Lucien took almost erratic steps over the broken china towards the drawing, snatching it from the knee height table and gathering it into his chest. The group now entirely addled by his reaction.
“Lucien?” Feyre was the first to break the quizzical silence.
“Nothing! This is no one!” Lucien's skillful way with words was now long gone.
“Who is that?” Rhysand and Azriel almost asked in unison.
“It's no one I said! Leave it! I have to go, sorry for the mess!” He darted for the hallway, Azriel hot on his heels.
“Lucien, who is that? What do you know?” The Shadowsingers sharp tone tried to stop Lucien in his tracks.
“It's no one, you didn't see her, forget it, stay away from her”
“Which is it, stay away from her or I didn't see her?” this silenced the Prince of Foxes.
“I have to go!” His panicked tone was betraying him. Azriel went to catch him harshly, Lucien winnowing out avoiding capture leaving Azriel once again confused and alone

The castle’s infirmary is quiet today.
The main physician sits at their desk, scribbling away some new kind of prescription, while the royal consort sits in a nearby chair, tongue stuck out in concentration. They hold a notebook up on their curled-up knees, reaching for a green pigment to add to their drawing. They’d come to help Morien organize some deliveries, but now that that was done, they’d taken to absentmindedly doodling in the quiet.
Eventually, Cuáine deems the drawing finished and gets up, sidling over to the physician’s desk.
"Look, it's you." Cuáine slides over the piece of paper with a small, teasing smile.
On the paper scrap is a doodle- almost childish, with how cartoony it is- of a seal with big green eyes staring up at Morien from the paper. The whiskers framing the eyes are overexaggerated to give it a little grumpy face- as grumpy as a cartoon seal can be, at least, and one flipper lies over a long, rounded cane with a green ribbon around it.
Morien blinks.
"...You drew me. As a seal." They state, deadpan. Their eyes drift over to Cuáine's expectant face, expression unnervingly blank.
Cuáine nods. Then, as the seconds tick on, they suddenly remember where and who they are.
They are no longer the laughing child on the coast of Venegard’s territory, pointing out seals playing on the rocky shore to their older brother. Their eyes no longer carry the bright-eyed brilliance they had been named after, the one that would make their parents ruffle their hair when presented with silly doodles.
Times had changed- those happy moments were undermined by the much clearer memories of when Cuáine had tried to talk to their parents or show them a pretty rock found down at the shore, only to be waved off for another time that never came. Osia called it stupid, really- low effort, not worth calling a ‘gift’ when a 5 year old could make something better.
Maybe a child could, but the intent had been pure- now, Cuáine just stares down at their silly scrap of paper with a sour taste in their mouth. This probably seemed stupid to Morien too.
"...Nevermind. If you think it's stupid, you can tell me." Their hand moves towards the scrap of paper on the physician's desk, fingers shaking slightly. "It's just supposed to-"
"No, no, it's-" Morien waves them off, and Cuáine's hand falls away. "-not. I was just... surprised. Doesn't seem very 'nobleborn battlemage' of you to do." They grumble, seeming almost defensive now as Cuáine lingers awkwardly by the side of their desk.
Cuáine hesitates, then says, "Well, I'm not many of the things I should be." They seem to think for a moment, then sidle closer, half-sitting on the edge of Morien's desk. They wait, taking the physician's half-glare as a sign to get off, but Morien doesn't say anything. So they relax, still being careful to put most of their weight on their ground foot.
Morien continues to write something down in their notebook, and Cuáine hums, going to twist their armlet.
“...I wasn’t aware you liked seals so much.”
Morien’s comment is quiet, and Cuáine would have almost missed it if it weren’t for the heavy silence blanketing the infirmary. For a moment, the royal consort blinks, unsure how to respond.
…They actually want to talk to me?
A small smile tugs at their lips, one of their ringed fingers tapping against the desktop. “I’ve loved them since I was a child. It’s rather an amusing story, actually. My parents have always lamented that they didn't name me ‘little seal’ Ronán, for how much I ended up loving them." Cuáine laughs lightly, shifting their gaze over to the little window that lets some light into the infirmary. "Apparently my father was of the opinion that the name was 'too common', so imagine his surprise when his seventh came out and eventually had to be dragged away from watching seals play on the shore. The, uh, doodling them-” Cuáine gestures again to the small seal drawing with a somewhat flushed expression, “-came from messin’ around with Saraah. It got to a point tha’ when I considered changing my name a couple times, he suggested I go with Ronán. I didn’t, obviously, but…”
“Hm.” Morien continues writing something down on a nearby pad of paper, and Cuáine has to resist the urge to be nosy and peek. They oddly aren’t meeting Cuáine’s face, but maybe they’re just focused? “Speaking of family, didn’t you say earlier that you had a meeting with Arthur and the council?”
Cuáine’s swinging leg stills, and they immediately swear, dark blonde hair swinging past their face when they jump off the desk. “Shit, I forgot about that! Thanks Morien!” They grab their bag and immediately dash out the infirmary door, but not without giving one last grateful wave to the physician.
As the door to the infirmary slams shut, Morien waits until the footsteps of the king's spouse have fully faded away before doing anything, including looking back down at the childish seal doodle.
"...Fuck." Morien murmurs, burying their face in their hands. It's the only way to successfully counteract their burning cheeks. "They might as well just fuckin’ stab me through the heart if they're gonna keep bein' this fuckin' cute."
Cuáine visits again only a few days later.
“Morien?”
When their knock and call go unanswered, they peek inside. Surprisingly, the infirmary is empty, devoid of its usual red-headed physician.
Perhaps Morien just had to go to the bathroom?
Regardless, Cuáine is here to drop off some herbs they gathered. They nudge the door open, walking over to the desk to drop the bundles off. Out of curiosity, green eyes stray to the mess of papers pinned to the wall’s cork board.
There, nestled among the notes for needed medicinal herbs, prescriptions and schedules, a small needle pins a little seal doodle to the wall.
Cuáine doesn’t quite believe it.
…Morien actually kept it?
Despite themself, Cuáine can feel a small grin curling their lips as they reach for another scrap of paper and lead pencil.
When Morien comes back, they find a package of herbs on the table and a new scrap of paper pinned to the wall- one with another seal doodled on it, holding a tiny knife in one flipper and a scar across its abdomen.
Look! It’s you n’ me.
(Eventually, the collection grows to include a seal with a crown, two with knightly armor, one with a long black braid, and a seal pup with tiny dragon wings, but the first two remain pinned together.)

(Morien and the setting belong to @the-kingshound!)

I just had to agree, that a huge Alastor fight scene is really all I want for season 2!
During "Stayed Gone", Valentino mentions a time that Alastor almost beat Vox, which implies that he narrowly lost in a fight between them.
He was badly injured in the fight with Adam, and had to retreat.
By the rule of three, it would be so poetic and amazing, if we got a fight scene where he doesn't back down, but continues to fight with everything he has, and emerges the unquestioned victor, wiping the smiles off the Vee's faces for good.
Bonus points if he actually accepts help from his found family, in the form of backup and helping him heal afterwards. He's so stuck on being a lone wolf (well, deer...), that him slowly learning to trust others would be such delicious character growth!
Actually, the way I interpreted Valentino saying that Alastor "almost beat Vox," is that during their fight Alastor was about to beat him. Like, if it continued, Vox was 100% going to lose. But the battle didn't see an actual end, with an actual victor, because, in my headcanon/theory, Vox was forced to retreat.
If Vox won, even narrowly, I don't think he would've been nearly as defensive or annoyed at Valentino for bringing it up. If the fight ended with Alastor retreating (or even losing), Vox would've milked the shit out of that. He would never let Alastor live that down. Hell, if the fight was recorded in any way, he'd be playing that shit on loop.
I think with Vox losing, it'd make him simultaneously eager for a rematch, but also nervous to fight Alastor head-on again considering he nearly lost (which might also explain why they never came face-to-face in season one. They only interacted from a distance, through their different mediums), and why he was SO happy when Alastor lost during the Extermination. He was living vicariously through Adam during that fight (Adams victory was HIS victory) because Alastor finally got a taste of the humiliation and defeat Vox felt all those years ago (and STILL feels, even now).
And considering all of that, I will go FERAL if there's a fight with all the Vees versus Alastor. I want to see what they can do. There are different ways to be powerful out side of strength and magical ability (see Rosie who's not physically or magically as strong as the other Overlords), so I want to see what Valentino and Velvette can do in a fight or on an intellectual level. The brains and the brawn (and whatever Valentino is.) I would laugh so hard if Valentino is actually the muscle of the Vee's. He's got very few braincells, but he can lift 2x his own weight, all they got to do is point him in the right direction. He's all muscle.
And I want that fight to be a close one too. In fact, if Alastor LOSES in that fight, my god, would that be such an angsty, complicated, even more humbling experience for him. Vox would be fucking THRIVING. He would be reveling. He finally beat the Radio Demon. He finally beat Alastor (and the complicated emotions. GOD the emotions that they'll both have during and after that)
But I also don't want Alastor to lose T.T He's my fav, and he already been so thoroughly humbled once, I think I'd collapse if he lost again. BUT if he were on the cusp of losing, got his second wind, and ultimately came out the victory, I would be screaming, jumping out of my seat, frothing at the mouth. I fucking LOVE that shit.
And super, serious 100% extra bonus points he gets help from his found family in the form of back-up or patching him up afterward. I think that would be amazing character growth for him. I WANT IT SO BAD ANON WHY DID YOU MAKE MY OBESSION AND YEARNING GROW I AM NOT A VERY BIG PERSON YOU'RE LITERALLY GOING TO MAKE ME EXPLODE WITH ALL THESE EMOTIONS

Tumblr media
♡ summary: you just joined a new high school and you're hoping to make a bunch of new friends. unfortunately, you're paired up with Akatsuki and he seems to despise you. nevertheless, you're determined to make it work. little do you know that you're first interaction would lead to a wonderful friendship and possibly even more.
♡ pairing: bakugo katsuki x reader
♡ tags: no warnings, just fluff :) but the next couple of parts may or may not have some smut ;)
♡ notes: hi besties! I'm back finally with another fanfic after months. I'm so sorry for my hiatus, but I've been super busy with college. I'm graduating in literally in 5 days which is so exciting (neurosci and psychology BS) and also been working on a patent and been doing patient trials in the neurosci lab I volunteer at and been applying for grad programs, so its been a lot. but I'm back with a new (long) Katsuki fic now that things have finally settled! Really this was a story with my OCs, Drew and Kressie (names still yet to be confirmed but that's what I've got for now) but I thought this would still work with Bakugo. Let me know if y'all want me to post the OC version too :) hope you guys like it!

As you sit in the principal’s office with your parents, you start to drown out the principal’s monotonous voice. All you cared about in the moment was how you would fit in. Middle school had been terrible; a journey chocked full of bullies and spending lunches alone. So when your parents told you that the 3 of you were moving to a new state for your dad’s fancy new job, you thought this was your chance to wipe the slate clean. Start afresh and make some friends this time around. You’d been excited for weeks, but now sitting here about to start your first day, you felt your stomach churn with anxiety.
The principal calling your name brought you back to reality. “So Y/N are you ready to start your first day? I know it’ll be halfway through your periods, but still your first day if you think about it!”
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” you replied, picking up your backpack.
“I’ll take you to your new classroom,” said the principal, standing up and opening the door for you, gesturing you to follow him. After saying goodbye to your parents, you head outside the office with a big sigh, readying yourself. It felt like forever before you reached your classroom. Your principal knocked on the door and stuck his head inside. You heard him say something to the teacher inside, but couldn’t quite make out what. She came out a couple moments afterward and the principal left you in her hands. A short introduction later, she brought you inside to the front of the class.
“Hey everyone, I’m sorry to interrupt you all in the middle of quiet work time, but we’ve got a new student. This is (Y/N) and she’ll be in our class from now on,” she said with a big smile on her face; it was almost too cheery. “I’m hoping since you only came in a week late, it won’t be too hard to catch up with the class.” She scanned around the classroom before continuing, “Looks like we’ll have to place you in the back with Katsuki. We share one big desk between students, so I hope that’s okay with you.” You nod and the teacher turns towards her desk, reaching down to grab a packet. “Here’s what we’re working on right now; answer as best as you can and don’t worry about getting questions wrong. You’ll be sitting right over there,” pointing to the back.
You look toward where she gestured to find a guy in a black hoodie, his eyes covered by his hood and lip curled in disdain. “Fantastic,” you thought, taking the packet from your teacher’s hand. “It’d be my luck to be put right next to someone that looks like they’d kill.” You plop down in your seat and look towards your new deskmate, smiling at him as an olive branch. Maybe he was super nice and just didn’t know how to show it.
He looked at you up and down, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as if he was wondering why you’d even dare to look over. With a sigh, you turn back around and start to work on your packet. You wouldn’t consider yourself super smart, but definitely above average. But ‘above average’ wasn’t going to cut it for this packet. You chose to take Calculus to challenge you and to look better on college applications, but looking at the work in front of you, you regretted your decision. This stuff was just way too complicated, but you were determined to figure it out.
You look over at Deku to see whether he’s struggling too for some sort of comfort. To your disappointment, you see him flying through the work, his head practically buried in the packet. You tried again to work through the first problem. “Find the derivative of the following function...what even is a derivative?” you thought to yourself. You pulled out your phone, hoping to try and find some sort of video to explain what was going on when you felt a tap on your shoulder.
You turned around to find your teacher smiling at you once again. “Hey (Y/N), I hope the packet is going good, but in this classroom we don’t use phones to search up answers. If you’re having trouble, why don’t you ask your deskmate to help you out? I’m sure Katsuki would love to help you out!”
You slipped your phone back into your pocket, giving your teacher a tight-lipped smile in return. “Out of all people, why did I get paired with him,” you pleaded internally. After a few moments, you give up and decide to ask Katsuki for help. “Hey, uh... would you mind helping me out with this question please?” No response. You cleared your throat, hoping to draw attention to your request. Nothing, nada, zilch. It’s then that you noticed he had some earbuds in. “Maybe he really just couldn’t hear me,” you thought. A few moments of contemplation later lead you to tapping his shoulder, hoping to finally get his attention.
He whipped his head around, giving you the chance to get a good look at his face. The first thing you noticed were his eyes. His eyes were red, probably because of contacts, and were coupled with dark circles; it looked like he hadn’t had sleep in weeks. You were finally able to see his hair peeking out from under his hood which had been messily bleached blonde with brown roots growing out. His lips were still in a snarl. “What do you want?” he asked, spitting out each word with anger. “Don’t you know when people are trying to ignore you?”
A hit and a miss. There was no doubting it now; he definitely hated you. You hadn’t even been in the classroom for 20 minutes and your high school dreams of making friends were already coming crashing down. You were just about to reply when he snapped back at you “What? Just going to stare at me forever or something?”
See, you were nice, but not nice enough to let that sort of behavior go by without saying anything. “What the fuck is your problem dude? I just wanted to ask you about derivatives. Damn, a bitch can’t even be curious about math anymore,” you retorted. You were hoping to put him in his place a little, but instead, you heard him chuckle.
“Ok fine, I’ll help you out. I’ll admit, that was a little funny. But this doesn’t mean we’re all buddy buddy, okay? I just want you off my back.”
“Sure whatever gets me done with this packet,” you said, flipping through the pages of the problems till you found the one you were looking for. You pointed to the derivative question and said “Just explain this one to me and I’ll be out of your hair. I just don’t really know how to get started with it.”
With an annoyed sigh, Katsuki gets started on explaining it to you. “Okay so basically all you’ve got to do is just differentiate all 3 parts and then add it. Was that too hard for you to understand or something or did you finally get it?”
You didn’t want to say it, but you didn’t get it. What was differentiating? Subtracting? You had no clue. But you couldn’t admit that, not when he was acting so rude; you had way too much pride for that sort of confession. “Let’s say I didn’t get it. I totally did, but if I didn’t, would you be able to explain it more in depth?” you ask him, hoping he wouldn’t pick up on your lie.
Katsuki definitely picked it up. He wasn’t stupid. But he was dreading having to talk to you more. He wasn’t trying to make friends or talk to people and be all chit-chatty; all he wanted was to be left alone, but unfortunately, you didn’t seem to be picking up on that any time soon. He grabbed your sheet and put it right between you two. If you wanted a in-depth explanation, you were going to get one. Bit by bit, he explained every single step of the problem, dragging out each individual part unnecessarily. That’d teach you to bother him again.
What he did not expect was the beaming smile you gave him in return. “Thank you so much! That actually helped a ton dude! See I knew you could be nice,” you say as you bring the packet back to your side to continue working on the next couple of problems.
Your response threw him for a loop. Sure, Katsuki was confused over how he could seem nice, but what really had him was your smile. He could’ve sworn it was the sweetest smile he’d ever seen. Slightly crooked, but still shined like the sun. He turned around, pulling his hood down to cover the slight blush that had appeared on his face. He hated the feeling he had his stomach now and it was all your fault. He knew it was a bad idea to help you.
He dove into his work, trying not to focus on you. It felt like decades before the bell rang and people started packing up to move to their last period. Out of the corner of his eye, Katsuki saw you whip out a folded piece of paper, which opened up to reveal your schedule. He heard you sigh as he was packing up and he already knew what was coming. As soon as he came back up from zipping his backpack, he was met with your eyes looking at him and he knew you were about to bother him again.
“Uh... so I’ve got my next period in room 2301, but I have no idea how to get there. I think its English Lit with Ms. Carlisle, but like we only have 10 minutes to get there and I don’t want to get lost. Do you mind just giving me some quick directions?” you ask.
He wanted to say no and tell you to get lost. But it seemed like his mouth betrayed him when he heard himself saying “Yeah ok, I”ll take you there.”
“Oh! I mean you don’t have to really take me to the room, but I appreciate it a lot!” you reply cheerily with another one of your smiles.
“Do her cheeks never hurt from all that smiling?” Katsuki thought to himself. “It’s whatever, I’m in the same class too so I don’t give a shit.” he said, standing up and slinging his bag over one shoulder.
He starts walking away and you take that as a sign to start walking or be left alone in the classroom. With a wave to your teacher, you speed up to catch up to him. It was a bit awkward walking beside him but not talking. You’d initiate some sort of conversation, but it looked like he was ready to bite your head off and you already felt like you were pushing it.
Thankfully, Katsuki ended the awkward silence between you two, “So.... like, where did you move from?”
“From Florida, but not like city Florida, think like retirement home type of Florida. North Florida specifically.” you rambled, trying to fill up the silence between you for a bit longer.
“Cool, so you’ve like seen gators and shit then?” he said, looking down towards you. It was then that he took notice of the height difference between the two of you. He wasn’t super tall by any means, but compared to you he felt like a giant.
“I mean I’ve seen a couple snakes, gators... and a few lizards too! Nothing too scary though!” you say with a smile. He nodded in response and a silence settled over you two again. You started to rack your brain for something to say to keep the conversation going, when you suddenly felt a yank on your backpack.
“Don’t just fucking walk off, we’re here, English Lit,” Katsuki says, pulling you back to the front of the door after you’d walked right past it.
“Oh! Thank you” you reply, holding the door open. “After you.”
Katsuki felt weird walking into class and it had nothing to do with the quiz the class had to do today. He walked over to his usual desk and felt you follow behind before sitting down right next to him. You put your bag down in your seat and walked over to the teacher, probably to go introduce yourself. It was obvious to Katsuki that he wasn’t getting rid of you or the weird feeling you gave him every time you smiled anytime soon.
He was brought out of his thoughts by the sweetest laugh he had ever heard. He turned towards the source of the sound and he wasn’t surprised to see it came from you. It seemed like everything you did added to that weird feeling he felt in his stomach. He hated it. You sat back down next to him, syllabus in hand along with a couple of other forms for you to fill out.
Class seemed to drag on forever for Katsuki. It took everything in him to focus on what the teacher was saying rather than how your eyebrows were furrowed in concentration and how you chewed your pencil from time to time and how you drew tiny little flowers and hearts on your notes whenever you got bored. The bell finally rang, releasing Katsuki from what seemed to be his own personal hell. He got up wordlessly to walk towards his car, ready to leave and go home. He made it a couple of paces outside of class before he felt a small tap on his arm.
He turned around to see you looking up at him with big eyes. “Hey.. uhh.. Could I maybe get your number? We have to finish that packet by tomorrow’s class and I know there’s a good chance I could be confused again, so I was hoping to maybe get your help again?” you ask.
How could he refuse those eyes? With a sigh, he held his phone out to you. You looked up at him quizzically. “Do I need to explain everything to you? Put your number in already. I’ll text you back so you can have mine” he snapped.
You took his phone and typed in your number, saving your contact while you were at it. “There you go, all saved and everything,” you say. You couldn’t even fully finish your sentence before Katsuki snatched his phone out of your hands.
“Well, it was nice meeting you Katsuki, but I’ve got to head to the buses soon. I think my bus is leaving in like literally 10 minutes. It was nice meeting you though and hope to see you tomorrow,” you say, running off to catch the bus before you were left without a ride.
“Nice to meet you too, I guess,” he whispered to himself. He hoped you didn’t hear it. He walked to his car, throwing his bag into the backseat and putting his head on the steering wheel. “What’s going on with me? Why is everything so weird all of a sudden?” he thought. He took his phone out from his hoodie, looking for your contact and, more importantly, to put a name to your face.
It wasn’t hard to find since it was the only contact that stuck out like a sore thumb. “Y/N..” he said, reading out your name. He noticed a small smiley face beside your name, a sweet detail that caused an unconscious smile to cross his lips. It didn’t take him long to notice and he immediately shook his head trying to drive his smile away. He put his head back on the wheel with a thud, letting out a frustrated groan. That weird and uneasy feeling in his stomach had come back again and he had a feeling it wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Reader:
"Fuck".
You groaned, throwing your arm over your face to block out the single ray of sunlight that found its way through the small crack in the curtain and directly into your eyes. Had your bladder not been so full from all of the drinking you had done the previous night, you would have just rolled over and continued to sleep, but unfortunately there was no other option but to get up and take care of business.
You slowly sat up, testing the waters on how severe your hangover was going to be this morning. Slight headache, nothing a couple of Advil couldn't handle, but your mouth felt as dry as the Sahara desert. How can you be so thirsty when you drank so much last night? At least you had known when to stop, thankful that the little voice inside your head had sounded the warning bell, letting you know if you have one more drink your going to be puking your guts out all night. You would take a little headache over that any day.
You carefully crawled out of bed, as not to wake Lisa who had been sleeping beside you. Although upon further inspection you found your friend to be dead to the world, mouth open and snoring, blonde hair splayed out and a fake eyelash stuck to her cheek. You smirked. Girl was a hot mess, but you knew that she would wake up, carry on as usual and do it all over again tonight. Bless her heart.
You quietly krept to the bathroom to relieve yourself and change out of your dress from the night before, you wanted comfort. The dress had been pretty and sexy but you were sick of feeling like your ass was hanging out so you opted for an old hoodie that you had stolen from Eddie and some leggings. You snuggled into the shirt, breathing in the faint scent of his soap and aftershave. You sighed. What you wouldn't give to be writhing under him in ecstasy right now, his breath warm on your neck as he whispered the dirtiest things into your ear, fucking you into the bed......
You thirsted for this man, you craved him and you couldn't get enough of him.
You grabbed a bottle of water and chugged it, at least you could quench this thirst, then grabbed the phone off the night stand beside the bed and dragged it across the floor until the cord couldn't stretch any further. You opened the sliding glass door and went out onto the balcony to make a phone call, figuring it would be the quietest option. You slid the door closed as far as you could behind you and took in a deep breath of fresh morning air before dialing the phone.
It rang twice and then you heard the deep, smooth sound of his voice." Hello?"
You smiled to yourself." Good morning baby."
" Well good morning Sweetheart." You could almost hear his smile in his voice." What are you doing up at the ass crack of dawn? You should still be in bed with a hangover right now Dollface."
" I'm trying to pace myself darling, I'm not much of a party animal. You know me, I prefer wine tipsy to black out drunk."
" I fucking love it when you are wine tipsy, Sugar. Your fucking giggle, your goofy smile, fucking adorable."
" Not to mention the fact that I can't keep my hands off you-"
" That's not any different than usual-"
You laughed." Ok, you got me there. Your just so fucking irresistible."
He chuckled." That's me Eddie ' fucking irresistible ' Munson. I guess it's better than being the freak. How are the other girls doing?"
" They are all passed out, snoring- those girls can party . Suzie is heading home today, she is afraid of leaving Dustin alone with the kids. I told her he would be fine , he is one of the most capable people I know but I think she misses her babies."
" So Robin and Vikki and Nance still got it?"
" They are seasoned professionals. Oh! I saw your son out at the club last night."
"On the prowl? He has turned into quite the man whore now..."
" He's sowing his wild oats or however that goes . "
" He's fucking everything that walks."
" I still can't believe he had sex with Chrissy-"
" I can't even think about that. Fucking around with married women, even if her husband is the biggest fucking prick in the world-."
" It was her decision too, I'm just glad she didn't try to sink her claws into you. I would have had to beat a bitch."
Eddie burst out laughing." Jesus! You would never have to worry about that Muffin because I don't want anyone but you."
" That's good because your stuck with me." You twirled the cord around your finger." Whatcha doing today?"
" House shit. Fixing the stairs on the front of the house, mowing the lawn-"
" Goddamn it, I'm going to miss it!"
" Miss what?"
" The manbun, the tool belt hung low on your slutty waist, the sweat glistening off your body-"
" Woah, down girl." He chuckled." Does me being domestic really do it for you?"
" Are you kidding me? You using power tools and putting the pencil behind your ear to mark when your measuring, holy shit!"
" Well you will get your fill next summer when we build the new deck out back."
" I'll be bringing you lemonade and wiping the sweat from your brow and watching the show."
" Is that so?"
" No I will totally help out. You know how good I am with a tool, and even better at screwing."
He laughed again, his laugh was one of your most favorite sounds in the world, well other than the sound he made when he orgasmed." I fucking love you."
" I fucking love you too Edward Munson." You smiled." Do you miss me?"
" Of course I miss you Sweetheart. It's fucking cold and lonely in our bed at night without you in it. I sleep like shit."
" You should sleep great without me hogging all the bed-"
" No, I miss my koala bear wrapping herself around me, keeping me warm."
" Aww, Baby. Your coming to pick me up tomorrow , right?"
" Abso-fucking-lutely. " He paused." I'm going to fuck your brains out when we get home-"
" Uh, yeah,  I do believe you promised to 'fucking destroy me.' I'm looking forward to it."
" You have no fucking idea." You could hear the promise in his voice and it gave you chills." So what is on the agenda for today?"
" Recovery for a majority of the girls, spa day and dinner and clubbing tonight."
" Strip club tonight?"
" Yeah, I'm fucking nervous. "
Eddie laughed." What for?"
" You don't think it would be awkward having a stranger waving his junk in your face and crawling all over you?"
" I think it would be very awkward if a stranger was waving his junk in my face-"
" You know what I mean!"
" Listen Kitten if you don't want a lap dance, tell them you don't want a lap dance."
" Have you ever had one?"
"Yeah, it was...nice at the time, but you gotta remember Darling that I was single for a long time and rarely had an opportunity to see titties. It will be fine. Pre game before you go and if your uncomfortable fucking leave "
" Your not mad that they are taking me?"
" I don't love that some fucking young stud with a body like a fucking Greek god is going to be dancing and flopping his dick around my wife, but that being said I love you and I trust you, and I'm not worried. Everyone has got to go to a strip club once in their life. You might as well go with your friends. "
"I guess." You sighed." I miss you."
" I miss you too Love."
" I suppose I should let you go now. I think I am going to run out and get a round of coffees for my girls."
" That's sweet. I hope you have a ton of fun today."
" Thanks Baby. Good luck on the house projects."
" Thanks Princess. Make sure someone gets a picture of you in that fucking hot ass outfit you showed me. Your going to look fucking dynamite."
" I will. I love you Mr. Munson."
" I love you too Mrs. Munson."
" Bye Baby!"
" Bye Sweetcheeks."
You hung up the phone and quietly made your way back into the room. Not a creature was stirring so you grabbed your purse and went on a mission to find java.
When you came back Nancy and Robin were stirring in the adjoining room, while Vikki, Suzie and Lisa still slept.
" Your an Angel, you know that?" Robin smiled wearily as you handed her the cup.
Nancy lightly blew into the opening of the travel mug, then took a sip." This is perfect. Thank you."
"Figured you guys could use it. You guys can party hard." You smiled at them.
" Cause we don't get out much, gotta take advantage of every opportunity." Robin also took a sip and nodded." That's the shit right there. So tonight, it's your turn Sweets, it's our mission. "
You gulped. Yikes.
**********************************************************
The day had been lovely, facials and massages and mimosas then shopping and dinner. Between the full body massage and the champagne you were feeling absolutely incredible, loose and relaxed.
Your friends had all rallied and were ready for another night out on the town, with the exception of Suzie, she went back home to be with her babies and Dustin but had been very grateful for a night away.
Tonight was another night for sequins and glitter, another night to get dolled up, though tonight's outfit wasn't as risque as last nights was and you were glad for that. It was still sexy, but more comfortable. You had chosen a white sequin jumpsuit with spaghetti straps and a deep cowl neck, at least you wouldn't have to worry about flashing your ass at everyone tonight. The suit fit you like a second skin. You wore a sexy pair of stilettos, and your hair and make up were on point.
The whole group looked spectacular and while waiting at the hotel for a cab, you asked the Hostess to take a group photo, so that you could capture this moment forever. These girls were the best and you were lucky to have them.
You felt your stomach doing flip flops as they walked you to a table in the dimly lit Strip club. It was dark the music was blasting and there were young men in G-strings every where. On the stage there was a woman practically getting dry humped in front of the crowd.
You turned to Lisa, grabbing her arm." Please don't make me go up on stage!"
She laughed."I promise. But your totally getting a dance."
Your group sat at a large table and ordered a round of shots. You were glad, you were going to need it.
" Even though guys aren't my thing, I certainly do have an appreciation for the male physique." Robin smirked and Vikki laughed.
" They can be very nice to look at."
You let your eyes wonder around the room. Yes the men were in great shape and yes they were young and attractive, but nothing compared to what you had at home. Eddie, with his tattoos and his abs and his muscular arms, he was trim and toned, but not big and bulky. He was fucking perfect and you would pick him every second of every goddamn day over any of the guys here.
" Oh my God they are so fucking hot!" Lisa clapped excitedly." I want one!"
" They are so goddamn young! I bet you these boys are only a couple years older than my son's!" Nancy exclaimed.
" I bet your boys could make some decent money for college-" Robin smirked.
" Robin!"
" What they run around half naked most of the time anyway-"
" I am surprised my son isn't a stripper-" You started and the girls fucking lost it.
You were all still laughing when the waitress brought over your shots .
" I would love to propose a toast to the beautiful Mrs Munson, may you live a long life filled with love , hot sex and wedded bliss. Cheers!" Lisa held her shot glass in the air and we all clinked our little glasses together then threw back our shots.
You had to admit that these men had talent. The moves, the timing, all impressive during the stage show, and the dancing was incredible.
When Lisa waved down one of the gentlemen for your lap dance you took a deep breath and tried to be cool.
" Hello Beautiful." The man said smoothly.
" Please be gentle, it's her first time." Lisa winked at the man.
He flashed her a sexy smile then turned his attention onto you." Don't be nervous, gorgeous, just sit back and relax. Let me dance for you."
" Uh, sure. Its nice to meet you." You extended your hand to shake his but instead he kissed your knuckles.
" It's nice to meet you too." He winked and started dancing in front of you, gyrating and moving his hips. You felt a blush creep up your neck to your face. You focused on his eyes.
Lisa laughed at you then whispered," Your allowed to look at him you know, that is the whole point."
" But we've just met. It feels rude!"
" I assure you Miss it's not rude at all." The stripper danced closer to you, " I like all the attention. Pretty girls like you staring at me all night-" he leaned in close to your ear." That's why I do it."
" Your very good at your job. I'm sorry I'm so awkward-"
" You're doing just fine."
Lisa handed you a wad of dollar bills." Pay the man."
You stuck out the stack and he smirked and nodded down to his G-string. " Just slip them right in Sweets."
You watched as the other women tucked them beneath the waist of his fancy underwear and you followed suit. He danced on you for another minute than took your hands, kissing the tops of them and backed away.
" Thank you."
"It was my pleasure Miss." He pointed to the veil and sash that your friends insisted that you wore again." Congratulations."
You smiled." Thanks. Have a great night!"
He winked then strutted over to the next table.
" There, was that so bad?" Lisa asked.
" No, it was fine, weird but fine."
" Are you ready to leave now?"
"Yup!"
The girls laughed and finished their drinks and we peaced out of the strip club and moved on to the dance club where we proceeded to party the night away.
**********************************************************
" Jesus Christ, I look like fucking shit."
Lisa laughed as she came up behind you and rested her chin on your shoulder. " We told you we were going to get you drunk. Mission accomplished."
Mission accomplished all right. The dance club was absolute mayhem last night, there was not a moment where you did not have some sort of drink in your hand, and with the liquid courage on board you busted out the dance moves you didn't even know that you had, you even swung around a pole like a stripper causing your friends to cheer along with people you had never met, thank God , and hopefully would never see again.
The rest of the night after that was a blur. You remembered stumbling through the hotel and into your room, eating a ton of snacks then passing out on the bed. Surprisingly enough you didn't throw up, you credit that to the snacks you consumed soaking up all the alcohol you drank, but you did wake up with one hell of a hangover. You popped some meds, chugged some water and prayed that you felt better by the time your husband arrived to pick you up. You loved your girls but you were ready to wrap your arms around Eddie.
" How's our girl feeling this morning?" Robin asked entering from the adjoining room, Nancy and Vikki close behind.
" Shitty, but it was worth it. Thank you ladies for a wonderful night. It was fun, well what I can remember of it." You smirked.
" The way you worked that pole-"
You groaned." I'm so embarrassed!"
" You shouldn't be, you killed it!"
" Oh , I'm sure! " You laughed.
" Eddie would have loved it!" Nancy smiled
" Are you kidding? He would have lost his shit!" Robin smirked.
" I doubt it."
Lisa smiled." I have never seen a man look at a woman the way that Eddie looks at you."
" All heart eyes and dimples. It's fucking adorable."
" It's so nice to see him finally happy, like really truly happy."
You sighed. " I love him so much. I'm fucking obsessed."
Your best friend smirked." Like we couldn't tell. You guys can't keep your hands off each other. Don't think we don't notice when you guys sneak off to have sex."
You felt a blush wash over your face." I have never had a lover like Eddie, he's.... incredible." You bit your lip than looked over at Robin and Nancy." Sorry if that is weird to hear, I mean you guys practically grew up together-"
Robin shrugged." Not a total shocker, the boy has to be the best at everything he does-"
" Like when Master of Puppets came out and he practiced every possible minute until he had mastered it, you know how hard that song is to play-" Nancy added.
" And he has insane attention to detail, I'm sure that translates over to the bedroom."
" Trust me it does " You smiled. "He knows exactly what I want. I swear it is his sixth sense."
" I want a Mr. Munson too!" Lisa pouted. " All these guys I go out with are chumps compared to Eddie. He is a gentleman that knows how to treat a lady and the man, he's sexy a hell."
" He is now, if you had only seen him in highschool, jumping up on tables and lecturing the masses on forced conformity, dude was a nerd and a menace." Robin laughed." Everyday we would sit back and wonder what shit he was going to pull."
" I wish I could have known him then." You sighed again." I can't wait to see him!"
" I remember when I couldn't wait to see Steve, when we used to sneak off and have adventurous sex, having four kids really put a damper on that though." Nancy laughed." I wouldn't change a thing though, but thank God we smartened up and decided against having six kids."
You smiled." You seem to have everything so well balanced."
" That is because Steve is an amazing partner, he promised he would be there every step of the way, and he has been."
" Does he still give you butterflies?"
She smiled." Every damn day."
Robin smirked at Vikki." Do I still give you butterflies, my love?"
" Maybe every other damn day." Vikki smiled. "Your a lot to handle."
Robin laughed." That's my girl."
" I want love like that!" Lisa exclaimed.
You looked at the clock on the nightstand. " Oh my God! My man will be here in less than an hour! I look like a hag, I need to pull myself together!"
" He loves you no matter how you look."
" I know that! It's just, he is going to stroll in looking incredible and I am going to look like a fucking troll! "
You jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom to wash last nights makeup from your face, throw your hair up into a bun and to put a light application of makeup on. Your eyes were still puffy but maybe by the time he got here they would be better. You knew that you were doing this purely out of your own vanity, the girls were right Eddie would love you no matter what.
" Does this look better?"
Robin rolled her eyes. " You looked fine to begin with, your 'bad face day' is better than my 'good face day'. You're still in your twenties! You look fantastic all the fucking time! You could run a marathon and still look fabulous!"
" I just want to look nice." You smiled and took the tiny shimmery dress out of your bag from a couple nights before.
" You're wearing THAT home?"
" Yes, Eddie went absolutely Gaga over it. He asked me to wear it for him," You bit your lip, "He thought it was sexy and he wants to fuck me in it. He has been so lonely this weekend, who am I to deny him...." You smirked.
"Oooooohhhh!" All the girls  said together in chorus, smiling.
" We know what your doing when you get home!" Lisa fanned her face." You're going to get it....."
" I'm soooo going to get it."
They all cheered again and you shook your head smiling.
" Now if you'll excuse me, I must change."
**********************************************************
Your friends waited patiently with you in the lobby for Eddie to arrive, and the man, as always was very punctual.
" Watch the look on his face when he sees her-" You heard Robin whisper to Vikki.
Then you heard Nancy," Butterflies for sure."
" Goddamn, your husband looks like a rockstar.." Lisa was the last to comment.
She wasn't wrong. Holy shit were you a lucky woman.
Eddie strolled through the door, brown curls wild from the breeze, aviator sunglasses sat on the bridge of his nose, he wore an Alice in chains sleeveless T-shirt that hugged his trim frame, his muscular, tatted arms on full display, tight black jeans and boots, he was a fucking vision. But the best part, hands down was his smile, so bright , and those fucking dimples-
" There's my girl, I missed you so much." Instantly his arms were around you, pulling you close, as he nuzzled into your neck." You're wearing it." He whispered.
" I told you I would." You whispered back .
He pulled away smiling and lightly kissed your lips. " I trust you ladies had a wonderful weekend?"
" It was magical. Especially the part where your wife swung around a stripper pole-"
"Robin!"
"What? You were amazing for a novice."
Eddie's eyebrows raised and he smirked." You did what?"
" These guys had me so drunk! I'm not proud -"
" Fuck, and I missed it?! Damn, I bet you looked real sexy Kitten."
" Again, I was drunk and not super graceful."
" Really let your hair down, didn't ya babycakes?
I'm real proud of you."
" And my pounding head is the proof of it."
He smiled widely." I've got the perfect cure for that." He winked at you and your stomach did flip flops." Let's get you home Princess, so you can rest."
" Yeah, you better get home so you can 'rest'." Robin smirked.
Eddie smirked back " Gotta take care of my Princess."
" Your going to take care of her all right." Lisa winked.
" Y'all are perverts." He chuckled, than picked up your bag and threw it over his shoulder." Ready Darlin?"
You nodded then quickly gave your girlies hugs. " I can't thank you guys enough, this weekend was absolutely amazing. You girls are the best!"
You said your goodbyes and  slid an arm around your husbands waist. He slid his sunglasses carefully onto your face, knowing that they would help against the bright sun outside then kissed the tip of your nose. He turned and waved goodbye to the girls.
" See you soon Ladies, take it easy!"
" Bye Eddie!" They all said in unison then laughed.
He pulled you close and the two of you walked out to your old, but reliable small car. He opened your car door and pulled a flannel out and slipped it over your shoulders before you got inside.
"Thank you baby."
" Your welcome Sweetheart." He made sure you were carefully tucked in before closing the door than he climbed into the driver's seat. " So I wasn't sure what stage of hangover I would find you in sooo, I brought Tylenol, a Gatorade, a coffee and a breakfast sandwich for you. " He lifted a brown paper bag and pointed to the coffee and the Gatorade in the cup holder." I wanted to cover all the bases for a quick recovery." He grinned widely.
You leaned forward in your seat and took his face in your hands." Just when I thought I couldn't possibly love you anymore..." You kissed him." This is so sweet Baby."
" Like I said, gotta take care of my girl."
You smiled and squeezed his thigh. " Thank you."
" That's what husbands are for. Now why don't you fill me on this weekend while you eat your breakfast?"
You took a big sip of coffee and it was hot and absolutely perfect. You opened up the bag and took out two breakfast sandwiches, unwrapped one for Eddie then dug into the other while you recounted the events of the weekend.
The food and coffee in conjunction with the Advil you had taken earlier had helped immensely, and you could feel your headache starting to disappear.
" Feeling better Princess? " Eddie asked, rubbing your leg.
" So much better, baby."
" I'm glad Darlin."
" I know what will make me feel even better though."
Eddie looked over at you, eyebrow raised, smirk on his face." And what would that be Angel?"
" What does your sixth sense tell you Edward?"
" I can say without hesitation that you need a good fucking. "
" You think that's what I need?" You smiled.
"I don't think, I fucking know Sugar." You felt his fingers walk up your inner thigh, dip under the hem of your dress, then slip between your legs- you bit your lip. "Fuck Kitten, your not wearing any panties?" He took his eyes off the road for another brief second, a sexy smirk on his face. "That's my dirty fucking girl, you must want it real fucking bad."
" You know I do baby, so fucking bad."
He turned his attention back to the road, but his fingers remained and slid between your slick folds, where he found your sensitive bud and started circling it with his finger. "How's that my love? Better?"
You moaned." Eddie-" you took the flannel off your shoulders and covered your lap out of modesty.
" Don't worry Babygirl, we are almost home then I will give you exactly what you fucking need ."
You rested your head back on the seat and bit your lip as you watched him drive carefully ,as if nothing was going on, like he wasn't fucking you with his fingers. You knew he was good at multitasking but...." Eddie!"
You watched a smile spread across his face. "Aww, what's the matter Sweetheart? Getting close?"
" Mmmmhhhhmmm-"
" So close to the edge that you can't find your words? Well go ahead Angel, go ahead and cum. Make a mess on my fingers, make a mess of that dress-"
Your head was fuzzy. Your core was aching, you were so close."Baby I-" You groaned.
" Just fucking let go. God, your making me so fucking hard right now-" he applied a little more pressure to your clit sending you right over the edge. You gasped, the coil inside you snapping. You squirmed in your seat one hand clenched onto his thigh, the other holding onto the door. Thank fucking God the majority of the ride had been on roads with little traffic, not that you really cared, not when he made you feel so good.
" There, my sweet, needy girl. Is that better?Your so fucking sexy. God I can't wait to fuck you." He smiled and wiped his slick covered fingers on his jeans as you recovered.
" I can't believe you did that." You shook your head, smirking.
" What? " He asked innocently." Got you off while driving? Excellent hand eye coordination  remember?" He winked. " I seem to remember someone giving me a blowjob while I was driving down the road once-"
" But that was a dirt road."
" This just made it a little more exciting." He turned onto your street and you felt your heart racing again.
" Baby, do you want me to suck your cock-"
" That's sweet Dollface, but right now, what I really need is that pretty little pussy. I've really fucking missed her."
Eddie pulled into the driveway and in just moments the two of you were running into the house, desperate to get your hands on each other.
Before the door was even closed Eddie had you pinned against the wall, mouth crushing yours as your nimble fingers undid his belt, then his pants. You could feel how hard he was, his dick pressing against your leg.
" Need you, right fucking now-" Eddie mumbled against your lips, picking you up and carrying you into the bedroom . He set you down on the bed and you wasted no time tugging down his pants, his erection springing free.
You couldn't help yourself, you leaned forward and took him into your mouth, he groaned and fisted your hair in his hand, as you bobbed your head back and forth, taking him all in.
" F-fuck Princess," he stuttered as you licked his length, swirling your tongue around the tip, lapping up the bead of pre- cum and then closing your lips around him again."Jesus Christ, that feels so fucking good, but Darlin-"
You pulled off with a pop." I know Baby , I just wanted a taste-" You watched him kick off his pants, strip off his shirt. His chest was heaving and he had a feral look in his eye.
He ran his hands up your thighs, hiking up your dress then pulled you to the edge of the bed and buried himself inside you in one swift movement. You gasped, reeling in the feeling of him inside you, the stretching, the fullness.
Eddie moaned as he withdrew then pounded back into you again, then again, his big hands grabbing hold of your hips." My girl, taking my cock so well-"
" Give it to me, Eddie."
And he did. He drilled into you hard and fast, the sensation was enough to make your head spin, your fists clenching the sheets as he fucked you hard into the bed.You knew it wouldn't take long at this pace for you to reach your release.
" Oh God,oh God, oh god-" You chanted as you got closer and closer to climax, as he hit the sensitive spot inside you relentlessly over and over again.
" So fucking good , Babygirl. Fuck- " Eddie rambled, his hips snapping into you. " You feel so fucking good."
You could feel yourself spiraling out of control, feeling the shockwaves of ecstasy washing over you as you shouted his name, your walls clenching around him like a vice.
" Fuckfuckfuck-" The obscenities spilled from his beautiful lips as he chased his own release, his thrusts slowing ,sloppy until he collapsed on top of you completely spent.
You wrapped your arms around him pulling his sweaty body close, brushing his hair back from his sticky neck and feathering him with light kisses on his neck and shoulder.
" I love you." He whispered, picking his head up and bringing his lips to yours. The kiss was so soft, so slow, his hands coming up to lightly cup your face, the gesture so sweet and gentle." Are you alright Sweet girl?"
You smiled up at him." I am absolutely wonderful Mr. Munson."
His eyes searched yours." Are you sure? I was a little rough, I'm sorry-"
" Baby don't apologize, it was fucking incredible." You smiled dreamily." It was exactly what I needed. Baby, I have been dreaming of this ever since you told me you were going to fucking destroy me in this dress. I love it when we make love and it's sweet and soft, but sometimes a girl's just gotta get fucking railed."
He smiled down at you." I'm always happy to oblige." He kissed the tip of your nose than carefully rolled off you. " I'm so happy your home Sweetheart."
You rolled onto your side and slowly traced the spider tattoo on his chest with your finger, then lightly ran your hand down further to his abs where your fingertips lightly danced. You watched as his core muscles quivered under your touch. "Eddie Munson you are the sexiest man I have ever seen."
" What about the strippers at the club?" He smirked.
" While their dancing skills were quite impressive, none of them could hold a candle to you Baby."
" Speaking of dancing skills, when are you going to pole dance for me?" He smiled.
" I wish Robin and never mentioned it, I am trying to block it out!"
" I want you to dance for me sometime-"
" I dance all the time-"
" No like, dance for me." He licked his lips.
" There will need to be a lot of tequila involved-"
Eddie laughed." I just happen to have a brand new bottle. But in the meantime," He reached over and slid the strap of your shimmery dress down your arm, then leaned forward and kissed and nipped at your shoulder, giving you goosebumps." Why don't I strip you out of this dress and draw you a nice relaxing bath?"
" Sounds wonderful, will you join me?"
" Of course! Someone has to scrub your back and wash your hair."
" You spoil me Mr.Munson."
" I'm supposed to Mrs. Munson, I made a vow and I take it very," he kissed your forehead, "Very," he kissed your lips," Seriously."
" To have and to hold Baby."
" To have and to hold Sweetheart."

“You know you don’t have to help me pour drinks,” Y/N says as she stands behind the bar of the Garrison with Tommy, who’s pouring a large jug of ale for one of the patrons.
“We own the place now, so might as well do the work,” he smiles.
Not wanting to dampen his good mood, she smiles back at him and kisses his cheek as she moves on to serving more customers.
After handing the patron his jug, he steps back to watch Y/N as she interacts with the regulars as well as the new patrons, always with a friendly smile on her face. She always knows what to say and when to say it. He’s always thought of her as his ray of sunshine, poking through the dark stormy skies. She’s the love of his life and the only one he can see himself spending the rest of his life with. He knows that everything he does is for his family and for her, wanting to give her everything she deserves which to him is the world.
“Are you all right, love?” Y/N asks Tommy as she moves to stand in front of him as Arthur took over pouring drinks.
“I’m more than all right,” he smiles at her again, his eyes sparkling like they use to before the war happened though not as bright. But the sparkle was still there. “Our betting shop is legal now, we have the Garrison, I have my family and I have you. Things are looking up, sweetheart.”
Y/N cups his cheeks and brings him in for a quick kiss.
“I love you,” she tells him once her lips part from his. “And I love seeing you happy again.”
“I’ve always been happy when I’m with you,” he pulls her close, his arms encircling her waist. “And I love you too.”
Choosing once again not to dampen his mood, she leans into his embrace until he lets her go, taking her hand in his.
“I want to show you something,” he tells her, leading her to the office that now belonged to Arthur.
As they entered the room, Tommy shuts the door shutting out the chattering of the people in the pub. “I think we should buy a horse,” he tells her as he searches through the papers on the desk. Frowning slightly, he mumbles something about her helping Arthur with the paperwork so he can keep it organized.
“How many horses do you have already?” she asks him.
“Those are racehorses,” he points out.
“You want a pet?” she continues to question him, slightly confused about what. “Where will you put it?”
“We could buy a home with a stable in the countryside,” he answers confusing her even further.
“You’re saying we an awful lot tonight,” she points out. “Have you talked to your brothers and Polly about your plans.”
“Why would I talk to them about it?” he asks her. “I want to do all that with you, not them,” he continues as he finds what he’s looking for and picks it up. “Look at the name next to mine at the bottom of the page,” he tells her handing the piece of paper to her.
With confusion all over her face, she takes the piece of paper and finds Tommy’s name. As she reads the name next to his, her head shoots up, looking at him in shock before looking at the paper again. “Y/N Shelby,” she says aloud. “I... I’m not a Shelby though.”
“I want you to be one,” he tells her, reaching into the top drawer of the desk.
“Is this your way of asking me to marry you?” she asks unsure, the shock still on her face as she watches him.
Pulling out a ring box, he opens it showing her the ring inside. “Will you do everything I just mentioned with me?” he asks her in reply. “Will you become Mrs. Y/N Shelby, and be my partner in the future I’m working on for me, you and our family?”
“I thought you’d never ask,” she chokes out, her heart thumping hard against her chest, a sob stuck in her throat as she nods, a large smile on her face as she looks at him lovingly.
He pulls her into a kiss as he slips the ring on to her finger.
“I love you,” she whispers against his lips.
“I love you too, soon-to-be Mrs. Shelby,” he says before deepening the kiss.

Maid of the Rich
Inspo: sluttsxphobia [I think they abandoned this idea, but I really like it, so I'm stealing it.] Summary: You were hired as a maid, but the day Miles returns from school, he makes it his mission to make your life a living hell. But one day his idea of you changes, though you wish he'd just continued to hate you Tw: Mean Miles [Obviously], Miles being creepy Taglist: @fxchild, @milesfairchild2, [Make a part 2??]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You groaned as you put the car into park. You did not imagine that this is where your life would be at peak 20; A maid for some snooby rich kids. You turned off the engine and slammed your car door, mumbling under your breath as you walked up to the main doors.
You're met by an older lady who practically gave you a death stare. It wasn't like you wanted to be there either, so you didn't know why she seemed angry. Besides, she was the one who hired you, so she had no right to be upset.
She let you in and showed you around the mansion while explaining to you what you had to do. It was all just small talk and a waste of breath. You already knew what you were supposed to do and you doubted her showing you around will help you remember where everything is. Let's be honest, the place was huge; It'd take you a while to adjust. A part of you was jealous that someone got to live here and enjoy the lavish life of riches- That was until she, the woman showing you around, reminded you to be patient with the kids, because their parents had just died and the eldest had just lost a close companion. Though, the way she said companion made you think she thought the relationship as something else- Something she didn't like.
In your eyes, it seemed she didn't like much of anything. Besides how hard could it be to watch some brats?
---
You slowly walked into the office, before looking around the room. You let out a breath of relief when seeing it was empty. You walked over to a desk and pulled at some cabinets. You were looking for papers on the man who died? You weren't sure what she was, but you needed to know what happened to him.
You groan when seeing the dozens of unmarked papers in the drawers. You hear a noise behind you causing you to freeze. Imagine your surprised when you turned around and their was a teenage boy standing behind you. You practically jumped out of your skin as your nails dug into the desk. The boy was practically hidden in the shadows, which only creeped you out more.
"Who are you?" You finally got out after a while of silence.
"I'm Miles. I live here. Who are you?"
When Mrs. Grose had said 'Kids' you expected young children- Like under the age of 10. But this kid- Teen, Miles, looked like an older teen, maybe a young adult. But, since he was in a school uniform, you assumed he had to be under 18.
"I'm the new maid."
"No shit," He eyes you up and down. "What's your name."
You wanted to give the boy a dirty look, but something in you said that was a bad idea. With his attitude, you could only imagine the two of you wouldn't be getting along. "L/n. My names L/n."
"L/n? That sounds like a last name."
"Good observation."
"What's your first name?"
You ignore him and turn back around towards the desk, fiddling with the papers. Miles glares at your back, annoyed. He takes a step towards you, but you don't pay him any mind. In fact, you turn back around him and pat his shoulder-
"I'll uhh, see ya... Miles." And then you push past him and leave the room.
Oh, yeah, now he was pissed.
---
You could feel his eyes on you. Every move you make, he's watching. It was like he could sense your anxiety about being watch and liked to watch you squirm. You could hear every breath he took and it was starting to get to you.
"You missed a spot."
"What?" You look back at him, confused.
"You. Missed. A. Spot." He points to a spot next to your hand that you had been scrubbing at for a few minutes. It was sticky and stuck to the counter.
You frown at his smirk and rolled your eyes, "Yeah, well, I also wasn't finished."
"I sure hope not, since you did a shitty job."
You felt your fist clench and you took a deep breath, before shaking your head. You grabbed a cleaning bottle before spraying the spot and finally getting it. You smirked and turned to the smartass boy, "There. His majesty now has a clean spot."
He huffs, rolling his eyes, but doesn't respond. You felt satisfied that you had gotten him to shut up. He turns to leave but you quickly call him back.
"Oh, Miles- Uh, just a tiny favor, trying aiming IN the toilet, yeah?"
He frowns deeply, giving you a stinky eye, before tilting his head, "I'll aim on your grave you fucking whore."
You sigh, clicking your tongue, "I'm not to worried. If you can't aim in a toilet, I doubt you'll hit the grave."
"Fuck you, bitch."
"Oh no, the little mean boy called me a bitch. I'm so sad."
"Laugh it up while you can. You won't be here much longer."
You looked at him confused. At first you thought he meant he would get you fired, but a part of you saw it more as a death threat. Though, it was an empty threat, because a part of Miles liked your banter with one another. It was... Nice. Really nice.
---
The garden was nice, much nicer than any place you've ever been. You looked around the many rose bushes that surrounded you. Miss Fairchild seemed to have an eye for pretty flowers. Maybe it was a way to hide the tragedy of the Fairchild family. You sighed, leaning back and pushing your hair out on the fluffy grass. It was so peaceful- Until it wasn't.
"What are you doing?"
You groan when hearing the voice and rubbing your eyes. "You've got to be kidding me," You mumble under your breath.
"Shouldn't you be cleaning? Or something."
"Or something... I'm on break."
"You get breaks?"
"Yeah, it's called Worker's Rights... I think- Well, it's a law."
He walks towards you, before towering over you. He leans his head over you, displeasing you. His face was blocking the sun and right in your line of vision.
"Do you even know what you're talking about."
"Well, I'm working a shitty job for shitty pay, so you tell me if I know anything."
"Shitty job?"
"Yeah, that's what I said. I'm glad you can hear."
"How much do you get paid?" He tilts his head, watching you sit up.
"Enough to come back, I guess. I mean, I haven't quit, so..."
"So, it's not shitty pay."
"I guess not. But no amount of money would make this job bearable."
He doesn't respond and you're thankful. You run a hand through your hair and yawn. You push yourself up and brush off your clothes.
"You should get back to work. Mrs. Grose wouldn't like to see you relaxing. She hates anything fun."
"Yeah, I've noticed..." You turn back towards him, giving him a suspicious look. "You're being weird. Why are you being weird?"
He rubs his chin, giving you a confused look. "Weird? What do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb... You're being nice..."
"Is that illegal?" He asks with an attitude, making you roll your eyes.
"No, but I don't like it. I know you're up to something. I've got my eye on him." You hand gesture the 'I'm watching you' before walking away from him.
---
You kept your eye on the boy, but... Everything was fine. He wasn't ruining your life and wasn't making you feel miserable. In fact, he went out of his way to make your life easier. He'd wash his plate, take out the trash, etc. You wished he'd go back to normal- something you never thought you'd say.
---
Miles stood over your bed, watching you closely. He lightly hums to himself, as he sits on the edge of your bed. He feels it dip, before sighing to himself. You looked so peaceful- Like nothing could hurt you. It was nice to look at. He wanted that; Peace.
His hand felt your body through the blanket. He wished he could touch your bare skin, though this would have to suffice. It wouldn't satisfy him for longer, but for now you were safe.
---
You awoke in the middle of the night feeling strange. You looked around your dark room, but nothing... It's not like you could see though. You hear a bang, causing your eye to turn towards your window. It was just a tree branch. You sigh in relief, before closing your eyes. Doing this, you missed the sound of your door opening and slowly closing.
You didn't sleep for much longer, but this time you were awaken by something more pleasant. It was a nice tune playing throughout the house. You slowly sit up, heading towards the before opening it. You look around the dark halls, deciding to find where the noise was coming from.
You slowly walking down the hall, following the music. You finally stopped in front of a familiar door. The music was still soft, but louder than when you were in your room. You push your ear up against the door, listening. It was nice, beautiful even.
Though, you must have been leaning to hard, because the door pops open, causing you to fall to the floor. You quickly stand up, frozen as Miles turns towards you.
He had known you were out there. He had purposefully played the song that Quint had told him you liked. He planned this.
"Sorry- I uh... Heard you playing."
"Yeah... It's an echoie house."
"Yeah. Uh, you're really good..."
"I know."
You look around the room at the instruments. "Pretty late."
"I guess- Uh, is there something you want, Y/n?"
You quickly shake your head and hands, "No! No, I just heard the music and wanted to see what it was."
"Well, if you close the door and come in, I can play you something."
"Play me something?"
"Yeah. That's what I said. Glad you can hear."

YOU’RE STUCK WITH ME
CHAPTER NINE DANCERS IN THE DARK
Steve leans against the mirrored wall of the elevator, enjoying the sight of you in his arms a little too much to be normal. You’re playing with the neckline of his t-shirt, your fingers occasionally brushing up against the column of his throat, the curve of his Adam’s apple.
You’re driving him absolutely bananas. He pictures it, him and you, outside the steel confines of your accidental prison. Maybe you’d take him to a dimly lit bar, the kind with peanut shells crunching underfoot and neon signs buzzing overhead.
You would roll your eyes at his attempts to order something other than a beer, your mouth quirking up as he fumbles through a cocktail menu.
“Trying to impress me, Rogers?” You would tease, your voice laced with mock incredulity while sipping something deceptively potent from a martini glass.
“Is it working?” He’d volley back, the corners of his eyes crinkling with genuine amusement. And you would laugh, that easy melodious sound that seems to tickle him right down to his toes.
“Come on, Captain Perfect,” your voice reaches him for real this time, and he looks down to see you glancing up at him with a mischievous twinkle in your eyes. “We’ve talked about everything from your favourite colour to the last time you cried during a movie. I want to know… who was your first kiss?”
He can feel his cheeks burning with a shade that probably matches his iconic shield. His tongue seems to tie itself into a patriotic knot as he stammers, “I… It’s not really… I mean, it was a long time ago.”
You laugh airily as you observe his bashful squirming. “Was it before or after you became a super soldier? I’m picturing a handsome and earnest little Steve, all knees and elbows, fumbling his way through a peck on the lips.”
“It was after,” he admits, the corners of his mouth reluctantly curving upward. “Her name was Susan. She was sweet, and she had hair like the sunset.”
“Well, that’s just adorable.” You smile, slapping him lightly on the chest.
“We were at Coney Island,” he chuckles, brushing your hair back behind your shoulder. He pauses, collecting the memory like one might tenderly lift a fragile photograph. “I decided I was going to be brave.”
“Ah, the bravery of young love,” you interject with a playful sigh.
“Something like that,” he continues. “I bought her a hot dog and we rode on the Ferris wheel. When we got to the top, overlooking the ocean, and I figured it was now or never.”
“And?” You prompt, entirely captivated despite yourself.
“I leaned in, closed my eyes, and… missed,” Steve admits with a wry grin. “I ended up planting one right on her chin.”
“Oh, Steve,” you giggle right into his ear, sending a jolt of shivers down his spine. He can’t help but join in on your laughter, his mingling with yours. “I see you’re not always Mr. Perfect. Just a regular guy who made a girl laugh on a Ferris wheel.”
Regular. The word is foreign yet fitting as he looks down at you, your laughter subsiding into a warm smile that reaches your eyes, and feels a tug at his heart.
Here, away from the world-saving and villain-chasing, he doesn’t have to be anyone but Steve for you, and even more miraculous, that seems to be enough.
“You know what I haven’t done in a while?” He asks, his arms hanging loosely around your form. You quirk an inquisitive eyebrow, urging him to go on. He fishes out his phone and puts on an old tune, soft piano notes filling the air. “I haven’t gone dancing in eighty years.”
“Dance? Here?” Your laughter hitches in your throat. The idea seems ludicrous; you’re stuck in an elevator, not a ballroom. But nevertheless, you straighten out of his arms, immediately lamenting the loss of his warmth. “I… Steve, I don’t know how.”
Not for long, however, as he stands up after you. “I’ve got you.”
He takes your hand gently, the other finding its spot in the curve of your waist with a certainty that sets butterflies free in your stomach. He lifts your arms, wrapping them around his broad shoulders.
The space is cramped, so your movements are tentative at first, each step measured and careful. You begin to sway together, your bodies mere inches apart, and as you find your footing, something just clicks.
“Relax, you’re doing great,” he murmurs, a smile playing on his lips as he notices the concentration etched on your face. The music swells, a crescendo that seems to command you to move, and instinctively, you respond.
Steve guides you effortlessly as the song croons on about love in a bygone age. His hand is warm on your waist, his grip firm but gentle as if you’re something precious, while your own hands hold firmly onto his shoulders.
You are even closer now, so close that you can count the shades of blue in Steve’s eyes. His hand slides from your waist to your back, his eyes never leaving yours as he dips you carefully. You feel a flutter in your stomach, a sensation that’s alien yet achingly familiar, like a forgotten dream surfacing.
Your faces draw nearer as if pulled by an invisible string, and Steve whispers your name in a hushed voice, as if saying it is akin to invoking a spell, one that can break barriers and build bridges all in the same breath.
Steve tilts his head, his lashes fluttering as his eyes dart towards your lips. You hold your breath, the moment suspended, a bubble of anticipation shimmering with the possibility of what could be—all sealed with a kiss.
But reality has a peculiar sense of timing.
“Hello?” A voice slices through the magic, sharp as shrapnel and twice as sobering. “Who’s in there?”
Steve blinks, the spell broken as you both turn towards the source of the intrusion.
“...Sharon?”

There are not a lot of "Yandere tendencies" in this fic. Just a lot of fucked up stuff.....
Please Enjoy~
The hectic life you had before would be calm compared to the life you have now. Trying to keep yourself level-headed while the world changes around you is hard and mentally draining.
‘Note to self never trust someone that promises it’s a time machine that you’re stepping into. Even if they are… were your best friend.’ You mumble to yourself bitterly about how unfair it was to be stuck somewhere or when with nothing to help you. You heard a rustling of leaves behind you. The wind blew green leaves in your face as the rustling got louder.
You could hear the thud of hooves drawing closer to you. You quickly wiped your face clean and moved behind a tree to hide from whatever was coming. Heartbeat ringing in your ears you try to calm down by breathing in through your nose and out of your mouth. You try not to hold your breath until it gets closer. The thudding grew louder, shaking the ground. A figure ran past you, too quick to see what it was. Two more things ran by the tree you hid behind, you covered your mouth with your hand to muffle your breathing. One of them had antlers… with ears like a deer. Their legs were like a deer too… and with hooves! Where the hell are you?!?
You heard a deep growl in front of the tree. A shrill scream followed by a loud crunch was mere feet from you. Your body couldn’t move. You tried to back away, tried to uncover your mouth, tried anything! But your body refused to listen… The crunching sound was like breaking celery, a crisp crack/crunch. It stopped and you could hear the chewing of something wet and tough. One of those things must have been caught. Whatever caught it could find you too… would it eat you too? You could imagine the way it would tear into you, it would eat you alive. It ate whatever that thing was alive so you could only imagine what you would see as it tears into your stomach as the life drained away from you. The last thing you would remember would be that horrifying scene.
‘I need to get out of here… quietly’ You looked around trying to make less noise than the eating sounds. You tried to turn around when the wind picked up again. Except this time you were upwind from the beast. The sound stopped… not just the eating sounds, all the sounds around you… the birds let long ago, the wind stopped whistling, the river stopped bubbling, and the far-off thudding of hooves was no longer heard. The beating of your heart quicked, it hurt your chest. The chest that you were sure would be ripped open in mere seconds.
Another growl and you couldn't move again. ‘Not this shit again! I need out of here!!’ Your eyes were restless and you looked around wildly. You can’t hear the soft thuds headed to the tree you hid behind. The way the beast made slow, calculating movements was a sign that it was an apex predator. Nothing scared it. A claw of a tiger stepped out from the other side. It was massive, about the size of your head. You imagined it slicing through your stomach.
Its head followed soon after, traces of its meal all over its face. It looks almost… human. It, no He turned towards you, and you backed away as his whole body came into view. His face and torso were more human but the rest was like a tiger. His arms and legs were tiger limbs. He had an orange and black tail. Tiger ears on top of his head. He had no clothes on. Blood was caked on him everywhere. The fur on his body became clumped together and dyed red. He continued to growl at you. His teeth were long and the tips were sharp. You backed away from him as much as you could. He glared at you and stepped closer.
“Get back! I taste bad I promise!” You shout out of fear. In your right mind, you would not be saying something like that. He stopped growling and stayed still. Just looking at you, it was worse than him moving. Staying still made him unpredictable. You crawled away quickly. He didn’t move just stared at you. You stood up slowly and continued to walk backward until you had a few trees between you and him. You sprinted away from the area and towards the sound of the river.
You made a small shelter out of fallen branches that leaned against a tree. The river is a small walk from the shelter, fishing got easier with time and practice. You had no idea how to start a fire without a lighter so you go cold most nights. You have seen a few… bloody leftovers of other beasts that left you berries or other foods around your little camp.
You were trying to catch some fish with your makeshift net. A long-sleeved t-shirt with a stick in the shape of a Y can only do so much. You were so busy focusing on fishing that you didn’t hear the noises behind you. Suddenly you were pushed face-first into the ground. A growl from whatever was holding you made you freeze. It sounded so familiar… so overly terrifying.
This was it you are going to die… you’re going to be eaten alive by that man-beast thing! A bite on the back of your neck sent pain down your spine. A scream erupted from your mouth as you kicked and grabbed at it from behind you. You heard a chuckle behind you. The claws on the massive paws tore through your clothes with ease. The teeth on the back of your neck never let up. Something wet, slime-y, and hard was pressed into your thighs. He used one hand to bring your hips up, the claws dug into your skin and drew blood. His penis was barbed on one side and painful when he entered you with no preparation. Another scream erupted from you, you tried to fight back even more. Nothing worked as he kept going until he filled you to the brim with his cum. You cried until you passed out, you’d rather be asleep when you die than awake.
You woke up in a den with the tiger beast beside you. A dead deer beast was in front of him, he was already eating it. You whimpered and he looked over at you. He tore off a leg and tried to hand it to you. You gagged as the limb dripped blood all over the ground. He huffed and walked over to you wagging it in your face. You shook your head and started to kick at him when he came too close. He smirked and showed off his phallus it was hard and pink.
“No! Not again! Fuck you!” You shouted as he got even closer not bothered by your attempts to hurt him. He opened his mouth his teeth on full display.
“Again! You!” He mimicked your voice almost perfectly. ‘What the hell… how the fuck…’ You couldn’t believe this… “Mine… mate… season… you fight… you mate now.” He said in broken words. “Kill… others… need… me not… them.” He growled as he walked towards you. Your vision goes black as you pass out from fear. ‘Will I see the light of day again?...’

The last person you wanted to see at this meeting was your older brother. The same brother who left you in the hands of Chuuya Nakahara and the Port Mafia years ago, but all you can see now are the pleading eyes of Osamu Dazai begging for forgiveness.

chapter nine
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
The two of you sat in awkward silence for awhile before Atsushi spoke up, “You know, Dazai does care a lot about you”
You glanced up from your phone to look at him, “Huh?”
“I heard you and Chuuya talking. Dazai does care about you”
You chuckled at his words while looking around the room, “Sure looks it”
“He-”
You narrowed your eyes as he began speaking, “Atsushi. I have no interest in talking about this with you of all people. Osamu hasn’t reached out in years, do you understand how it makes me feel to see him act like a big brother to you when he hasn’t even made an effort for me?”
Atsushi opened his mouth to respond but you continued,
“I mean, look around! He has pictures of you guys scattered all around this room and not a single photo of me and him.”
“He has one in his wallet,” Atsushi said in a soft tone.
“Huh?”
“A picture of the two of you, he has one in his wallet. I asked him about it when I noticed it”
You weren't sure how to respond, Dazai kept a photo of the two of you with him?
“I was upset for you when he told me he had left you behind. I know what it’s like to be abandoned, trust me”
Your eyes softened as Atsushi continued,
“I don’t agree with his choices but you have to understand why he did it, right?”
You shook your head, “I would have helped him”
Atsushi gave a small smile, “You know you couldn’t have”
Atsushi was right, even if you didn’t want to admit it. You would have only made things harder for Dazai.
“He has photos of you guys in here too,” Atsushi said as he stood up from the couch and began walking towards the kitchen.
You quickly followed him towards the fridge that was covered in photos, “That is you, right?” Atsushi asked, pointing at a photo in the center.
It was a photo Mori had taken of the two of you when you had first joined the Mafia,
“Come on, just one picture!” Mori pleaded as you and Dazai looked at eachother with bored expressions.
“No, thank you” You spoke, going back to brushing your doll's hair.
“Aren’t you too old to be playing with dolls?” Dazai asked, a smile playing on his lips as he teased you.
“Shut up” You glared back
Mori sighed, the two of you had been bickering all day and he was simply sick of it at this point.
“The least you two could do is give me a smile. I’ll even buy you a new doll!”
Mori’s words caught your attention as you set your current doll down and gave him a smile.
“Perfect! Now Dazai, smile with your sister, please!”
Dazai rolled his eyes before flashing a big grin.
Mori snapped the picture quickly, knowing the smiles were going to go away any second.
The smiles you both wore were very obviously fake, making you laugh slightly as you nodded, “Yeah. We were so young”
You continued looking over the photos, most of them were of Dazai’s days in the Port Mafia, over half of them included you.
“I’ve never asked about this one,” Atsushi stated, pointing at a small photo of you, Dazai, and Chuuya.
“Oh my gosh” You giggled, “That was after my first mission with them. I don’t even know how Osamu got this”
The photo was of the three of you all asleep on the floor of Mori’s office, you remembered that day so well.
“Would you guys please stop arguing?” You asked, walking ahead of the fighting boys you were stuck with all day.
Mori had sent the three of you out on a mission, it was simple enough but it was very late by the time you got back.
“Chuuya started it” Dazai whined, pushing Chuuya slighting
“HUH? I did not” Chuuya responded, pushing Dazai forward causing him to bump into you.
You tripped forward and glared at the two boys behind you, “I am never doing this again”
The three of you had finally made your way into Mori’s office, only to find it empty with a note on his desk.
“Be back soon, make yourselves comfortable” it read
You groaned before sitting down on the floor,
“Why the fuck are you sitting on the floor when we have chairs?” Chuuya asked
“Comfy”
Dazai looked between the two of you before joining you on the floor, “Come on, Chibi. Get down here”
Chuuya rolled his eyes before sitting beside Dazai. The three of you talked about the mission until sleep overcame all of you. You awoke to the sound of a camera flashing, Mori standing above you all with a smile on his face.
“I apologize for waking you, I just had to remember this moment” He laughed, causing the two boys to wake up.
“How was the mission?”
Atsushi laughed as you finished the story, “Mori takes a lot of pictures, huh?”
You nodded, “He said it was his way of trying to give us a “normal” childhood, so we could have memories to look back on”
“And i’m glad he did” You heard from behind you, “The only good thing the man has ever done”
You turned to see Dazai standing beside Chuuya, who was holding several bags from the shop down the road.
“I told you I didn’t forget about you”

Shattered Lore caught in 4k. May contain Shattered Fates AU spoilers so...
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: He's not in the OG Dreamtale, I'm not the Creator of Dreamtale... Shattered belongs to the Shattered Fates AU, a Dreamtale AU; differing from the original. [ It holds some aspects from the original, but it is very different in terms of story.... worldbuilding etc. ]
May or may not contain spoilers for the Shattered Fates AU Fic! ( This was shared on discord but I'm here to share it here as well! )
Here's some general information on him...
He's a Dream who experiences 'Dreams' and in most of them it ends up with him dying, or worse. [ Similar to Resets, but on another level. ]
Having gone through several failed attempts he finally figured out another path for the betterment of his world, for their brother and himself.
with how much resentment he held, it unlocked new paths... even he was surprised by this change, being able to tap into more 'Negative' aspects of himself like Nightmare. Of course, he couldn't tap in fully to the abilities granted to him unlike Nightmare, but he most certainly could use this new version of himself to his advantage.
After becoming this, a new point was appointed to him as well... he couldn't exactly go back to the very beginning again... dying would just set him back to his first experience as this 'Shattered' version of himself.
forever starting out in a position where he'd be fighting himself emotionally. The scarlet rage within ready to pop at any moment if things didn't go his way... he had to make do with what he now had and was stuck with.
( He sometimes gets jealous of versions of himself who have a better life then himself, like Post dark cream Dream/Shattered and the Studio version of himself. )
Shattered uses his knowledge from previous 'Dreams' to sway those who he knew... for those he doesn't know he gains a great interest in them; the same goes for those who have the potential to change. With this as well, he finally took advantage of his natural strength, preferring hand to hand combat up close, rather then the bow which did little to no help to him before.
There's rumors that he takes those with that potential under his wing, and re-directs events or deaths towards others to keep a particular crowd alive... he can't exactly be everywhere at once saving those that he needs.
having been... through a lot, he lost the reason why he continued to be like this and eventually just saw himself as Shattered and not so much as Dream anymore. he's doing this for the world... for himself, and his brother right? he's the hero in his eyes, but not in others...
Shattered is very confident in himself; to the point it has become the catalyst to his 'Negative' sense of self. Charismatic, but not intentionally... it's actually hard to tell if he's flirting or not with another. Unlike Nightmare, Shattered tends to Lie more; mainly to keep himself together... to keep others in positions where he believes they need to be. sometimes he can be Sassy or more so Sly. when he's beginning to go over the edge, a scarlet hue begins to set in. the hidden and concealed part of him that he tries to keep buried is Aggressive, Argumentative, Violent and Uncontrollable. There's little moments where he ends up slipping into this 'Fully corrupted' version of himself, once in it- it's hard to escape this intrusive thought of a form.
...more will be shared and explained with the Fic! but this is primarily for those wanting to overanalyze Shattered or possibly write him more accurately!

a taste of poison
snarles x reader part 1 - if there's enough demand maybe ill make a part 2 lol idk i hate writing so it would probably take just as long as this one
a while after landing on this strange planet, finding yourself in the dark and haunting forest known as Subcon a spirit known as snatcher steals your soul and forces you to do his bidding unfortunately for you while working to complete one of snatcher's tasks you end up far deeper in the forest then you should have been and end up in someone else's hunting grounds
Tumblr media
after searching for nearly two hours you find yourself running into a small clearing leaves rustling and twigs snapping underfoot as you ran towards the rare flower snatcher had asked you to gather for a certain potion he needed to make what kind of potion? you had no idea but what you did know is that snatcher would probably kill you if you came back empty handed you should have been paying better attention to your surroundings while running you weren't exactly paying attention to anything other then the flower leading to you tripping over a fallen tree and planting your face directly in the cold and wet soil of the forest which definitely woke you up but when you realized just how much noise you had made on the way here you could feel nothing but dread something probably heard you no.. something definitely heard you you quickly wipe the mud from your face and come to your knees scanning the tree line and tuning in your hearing as you slowly get up but you see and hear... nothing nothing but the sound of wind howling between the cracks of broken trees the coast is clear and you are alone so you begin to stand and reproach the flower pulling it from the ground with the roots intact and stashing it somewhere safe for the journey back to snatcher's house but just as you pick it up the smell of something absolutely awful fills your nose its hard to stop yourself from puking and you probably would have if you weren't already so used to the constant smell of death that lays thick in Subcon's air... but this wasn't the usual smell of old decaying bodies this smelled far more ripe where the hell was that smell even coming from? "right behind you that's where~" a small crack and snap can be heard in the treetops above with the faint sound of hissing that transitioned into a shrill and wet sounding cackle that followed soon after you run but you didn't get far before you are promptly pinned to the ground by something far larger then yourself with its claws digging into your shoulders causing fresh blood to trickle down the side of your back and onto the cold wet ground and it was at this very moment that you realized YOU BLEW IT YOU TOTALLY SCREWED YOURSELF!~ you feel the smooth and slimy skin of whatever creature had you pressed against the ground began to coil itself around you like a snake ready to suffocate its prey your mind and body had already started to go numb but before you could pass out you were quickly snapped out of it by a voice... and maybe also the claws still stuck in your shoulders like knives but mostly just the voice
"finally.. fresh meat its been days with not a single soul... I was starting to worry that people had finally gotten smart and started to avoid this wrenched forest~"
"...now then.. how about we get started my lost little mouse~ it would be a real shame if I let fresh meat like you go to waste"
you struggle and struggle and struggle some more attempting to worm your way out of its firm grasp but its no use but if you were going to die you at least wanted to get a good look at whatever was about to kill you so you continued to struggle until you could get a good look at its face even if that meant completely exhausting yourself you catch a glimpse of its soulless yellow eyes flickering
"oh how cute the prey thinks it can escape~? you keep making this easier for me I almost feel bad... maybe the hunger is finally starting to get to me or maybe its just that scent.... wait hold on that scent" they lean in close to your face and just stare at you for what felt like an eternity before uncoiling you and towering above your sore body "is... this some kind of cruel joke?" they hissed in frustration before grabbing you by the leg and pulling you close to their face "no this cant be the case... did his previous contractor kick the bucket already? its only been a week there's no way he's dead already" they drool at the thought of eating the remains of snatchers previous victim even if there's no guarantee he was even dead...yet "well well well~ ...might you be snatcher's newest pet? oh ...don't worry about trying to speak.. I have other ways of finding out~" "my little mouse"

for @wolfstarmicrofic prompt: angel au -262 words
A raging headache greeted Sirius first thing as he came back into consciousness.
“What do you remember?”
Blinking awake, Sirius let his mind go over the blur of memories from last night. As soon as he did, his head protested and he groaned. His hand rose to his temple.
“Not much,” Sirius gritted.
The voice hummed, prompting him to continue.
“I was at… a party, which explains this dreadful hangover.” Sirius scrubbed his eyes and squinted as he adjusted to the sunlight. Everything was horribly bright. “Oh, wait! I remember snogging someone. No, hold on… I think we didn’t because I was too drunk or something. I can’t remember the name, but he was really pretty. Big brown eyes and all.”
“Please focus.”
“Alright, jeez. Well, I think he was with me the whole night. Kept me company, but that’s it. His hair looked soft and his eyes were really pretty too, James, you should've seen him.” He then paused at an abrupt thought. “And I’m quite sure he had angel wings as well.” A smirk rose to his lips, suddenly picturing blasphemous things with it.
“Right. Nothing else?”
A quick scene of the river from the top of the bridge and a blinding light flashed to the forefront of his mind.
Sirius shook his head. “No.” He didn’t need to talk about that weird dream. “See? I’m fine. I didn’t do anything I wouldn’t normally do.”
“Only because I was there to make sure of it.”
This woke Sirius up. That couldn't be James.
“Take care, Sirius.”
Then the sunlight decided it was done blinding him, Sirius sat up and found himself all alone.

Hello! I apologize if this is a nosy question, but what is the silly feelings wheel app you were talking about in a previous post? My therapist and I have been working on identifying feelings but I still very much rely on a list of feeling words to have any idea what I’m feeling, so it could be a helpful resource. No worries if you don’t want to share, just thought I would ask :)
It's called How We Feel! I'm not sure if it's available on all devices yet, but it's on ios and the google play store for sure.
I've been using it for about a year. It's more of a chart than a wheel but people usually recognize the wheel better so that's what I call it. When you first start it has a 10-part tutorial about emotional acceptance and regulation, then it has suggestions for each category of emotion. You can access both at any time tho after those first 10 days.
It has a share option so you can have friends, which has been great for me cause it prompts me to check on friends and them to do the same for me. It allows you to just respond with a little emoji in like a "I'm here for you" little notification to your friend, or you can reach out to your friend on your own. Its really helped me cause I'm bad at reaching out when I need support so to me and I'm bad about taking on other's problems even when I can't handle it so being able to send a little emoji instead to make sure my friends know I'm there if they need me and them doing the same has been great
#I know I sound like I'm a being sponsored by this app but it's genuinely been incredible for my mental health#whenever I get frustrated in therapy now about not being able to describe a feeling my therapist asks me to think about the chart#he'll ask me what color I feel and go 'good! do you want to narrow it down from there or continue with just that?' and it's so helpful#I have such terrible alexithymia from both cptsd and autism#it took a year of working with him to even recognize when I felt angry or hungry or sick#my friends and I check in on each other regularly now but it feels less intrusive#cause it feels like indirectly reaching out so it's less pressure to directly respond#and it might not feel the same for everyone since it could be jarring to get a notification saying friend feels miserable#but now that I've gotten used to it I don't feel like I need to solve their problems and make them feel better#Like they might be miserable because they're sick! So I check in and they say they're sick but okay and I don't feel the impulse to solve#like I would if I just didn't see them then saw them in person and saw they looked miserable#I don't blame myself or feel like I personally need to fix everything because I know they felt like that from an outside source I can't#control but I can certainly help them if they want! It's their choice tho and I don't feel bad if they don't/I can't#I feel less need to control my emotions/force them to be positive like I used to cause nobody feels positive 24/7 and I can see it#I don't feel the need to be politely content like I did in church because no one can be 24/7. I've attempted to get my family to start but#they're still stuck in needing to not be openly negative. It also helps me accept that negative feelings don't last forever#Someone feeling miserable because they're sick eventually puts they feel tired. Then chill and I know they feel better and I feel better too#Anyways thanks for listening to me ramble about my silly little feelings wheel app I hope it helps you like it helped me anon <3
