From the most beautiful chapter of my life.
To showing me the worst phase of life.

⛥ 2HA ⛥ 01 ⛥ 24. THIS VENERABLE ONE DECLARES A COLD WAR. ⛥
Chu Wanning did what he was supposed to, but also what he wasn't supposed to, and after everything, someone else would be the compassionate savior and he the villain. It had always been this way.
Chu Wanning knew that he was ill-tempered, so he was resigned to this. He didn't regret it either.
One cup of melancholy, many years of solitude. This is wrong, wrong, wrong.
Tear trails from reddened eyes, silken handkerchief soaked through.
Vows of affection enduring, letters of love unsent. All that remains is nothing, nothing, nothing.
The bloodstain where he had been injured while he protected Mo Ran was all the more vivid and conspicuous on those white robes.
Mo Ran's room was right next door. The inn was hardly soundproof, and Chu Wanning didn't want anyone to know, so he bit down on his lip and ripped the cloth off in one ruthless motion.
An injured animal would find place to hide and lick its wounds. Sometimes Chu Wanning felt like he was no different from those beasts, and that this solitary existence would probably continue into the future as well.
Inside were two locks of hair, corded together. His and Mo Ran's.
He wanted to hold the pouch to the candle flame and burn it, along with its ridiculous contents. But even after s time, he couldnt bear to do so.
Chu Wanning was aware of the throbbing deep in his own heart and loather himself all the more for it. He clenched the soft pouch tightly in his hand and slowly closed his eyes.
He couldn't accept these feelings, which he had long held toward Mo Ran. His only wish was that he could dig out his own heart and cut out the despicable thoughts inside—tear, rend, and throw them away.
Was Mo Weiyu someone he ought to think about in such ways? What kind of teacher was he? Truly he was worse than a beast!
"Shizun, it's me." Mo Ran's voice came from the outside, and Chu Wanning's heartbeat sped up a little. "Can I come in?"

Daughters of War Chapter Eighteen
A very intimate chapter between our favorite ladies. A growing hunger fills them, but words must first be said, and old scars soothed.
Shout out to @kelenloth for being an awesome sounding board and cheer squad. I appreciate you deeply. <3

Meleanor Expressions 🥺💚💖💞✨
The last two is from @alchemivich but most of these was my full body edits based on these tweet
sorry if theres any mistake 😩💥
her tearing up expression might be the closest thing we have, to see how Malleus will cry 😭😭💔💔💔 (rn i dont really see Malleus as a "loud/expressive crier" (like Lilia) but who knows lol i feel like a resigned crying where you let the tears fall silently feels more aligned to his depression about eternal loneliness. i dont think even in his downfall (after his overblot), he wont cry loudly, because thats how Malleus has always been, even if hes increadibly sad, "he never expresses extreme emotions about it" (him freezing a castle as a child bcs he couldnt understand why hes alone/feeling lonely but it isnt said that he cried, how in Lilias party he was casting a blizzard at how devastated he is about Lilias situation but never crying, how he disregards his "childhood tantrums" as being immature even though he knows children have rights to cry (what he says to Silver but never himself)) but theres a certain sense of freedom if he does cry loudly though,, like Riddle who had pent up emotions up until the end of his overblot😭

Oh, actually, this is really exciting.
There are some interesting parallels between Yuji and the white dog (Shiro)
_ They both died on the same day
_ They are friendly
_ Both are trustworthy
_ Megumi was very attached to Shiro
In most mythologies, the white wolf symbolizes protection, intelligence, sociability and compassion, being the antagonistic part of the black wolf.
Yuji is also associated with the white tiger of Byakko, the protector of the western cardinal point (I talked about it in this post), which ended up becoming his nickname at his old school.
The curious point is that one of Megumi's Shikigami is also a tiger that has not yet been shown, which makes him doubly linked to Yuji. It's interesting for me to see how Megumi and Yuji complement each other, whether it's Megumi being the duo's strategist and Yuji the muscles, Yuji being a melee fighter while Megumi is better at long distances. Black and white, like yin yan.
I wonder if the wolf thing was intentional or just an aesthetic choice, although I doubt Gege would approve of something like that if it wasn't to create parallels. This man likes to pair manga with anime.
Overall, I'm just rambling on about these.
After the last chapter, I'm getting impatient with the manga and Gege Akutami.

Ok I’m freaking out over the quirk shenanigans going by on in this chapter… but isn’t it something that Overhaul with his disassemble/reassemble quirk didn’t give two shits about his underlings’ health and wellbeing since he could put them back together if he needed them…
…but Tomura with only the modified disassemble part of that quirk treated his team like they were precious and worth fighting for?
