Taking a little break just to say that I'm really sorry if I'm a bit slow in replying to asks!

Those who have been following me for a while probably know this already, but I always reply. I just put replies in the queue so that I won't flood people's dashes with a bunch of asks at once. Also, sometimes asks get buried further down my inbox by more recent ones.

Point is: if you sent me a message, you will see a reply! It might just take a little while.

What if someone doesn't follow that blog, but bookmarks it in their browser and looks at it regularly? It's the same thing, except it's not using the "follow" feature on Tumblr and they would never even know it.

You're right. But I guess that's not a problem. The problem would be the too many people paying attention to the OP to the point they start getting harrassed again.

Which is the point. This platform allows me to freely follow whoever I want as long as I am not blocked (in which case I can't even see your blog.) If you ask me to not follow you, I still am free to decide whether or not I follow. It is not a boundary you can enforce, at the end of the day. That's what I meant.

Yeah, but it gives way to constant interaction. If you see OP in your dash everyday, you will interact with their posts by either liking, reblogging or replying, and you might feel comfortable sending them asks or maybe even trying to send a DM. OP definitely had too many new followers at a time, enough that they couldn't control the influx by themselves, hence why they wrote that post.
