I picked up this book, A Soul To Keep by Opal Reyne, because the cover art reminded me of Elias from The Ancient Magus Bride and I was curious. I'm eight chapters in and I do believe I've bought someone's self published, filed off the serial numbers, Ancient Magus Bride smut fic.

I'm not mad, but what have I gotten myself into? There's six of these!

is anyone else kinda peeved that colin was just a massive whore in s3. like why couldn’t he have just been sweet n normal. he was so insanely chadified in this season n idk if we’re supposed to find that attractive? it’s just giving male gaze tbh.

i get that men back then slept around a lot n were whores or whatever, but why couldn’t colin have been an exception? he didnt seem the type out of all his brothers to become like that. i got the massive ick from those scenes bc it just felt very forced, unlike w anthony n benedict whom we’ve know to be promiscuous since the very beginning so for them i don’t really have much of an issue w it

Although I was initially disappointed over the change in direction with Tokyo Debunker, I have actually been loving the game so far.

I hope this game lasts, because I am very invested in the weird little world it has created.

I know there have been varying degrees of opinions regarding the appearances of C1 and C2 PCs (and NPCs) in C3, and I’ll admit my own opinion has wavered back and forth on this as well.

Ultimately I came to the realization that highly powerful former PCs like Keyleth, Percy, Caleb, and Beau interacting with the Hells feels very similar to the high level NPCs from C1 - Allura, Kima, Gilmore, Drake, Assum, etc. These were former adventurers with former lives whose past actions were influencing the events of the world, who interacted with the party and provided support and guidance. While their full backstories may not have been explicitly detailed on stream, it was very clear they were fleshed out people with past experiences, post-adventure lives, and ties to the plot. They just happened to come from Matt rather than the players.

And I think that’s SO COOL that this group gets to play in a world state they actively influence. They get to create characters that become the next Alluras and Kimas and Gilmores. To me as a player that feels like such an amazing reward, and shows a level of respect and understanding for collaborative storytelling and worldbuilding from both the DM side and the player side.

#critical role #critical role spoilers #it’s a tricky balance to strike I get it #esp when you’re creating a universe with a wide audience that may not be familiar with all the past characters and storylines #but frankly? I still enjoy marvel content even without knowing every single moment from the comics #I enjoy other large media universes with varying degrees of understanding of the source material #I think it can get dicey if you rely on those past characters so much so that it detracts from the current cast or narrative #but honestly I don’t feel that way about c3 #at least not so far #also I fucking love seeing my blorbos again soooo #dnd #cr3 #cr2 #cr1

worst way to start my new year, thanks. i have a lot of things to say about these companies but i'm tired and just keeping it focused to the pin side of things for this one. do not ever buy pins from these companies, literally ALL of them are stolen from small artists like me. if you want to buy enamel pins, check out etsy, and artist's personal websites and shops! (though even Etsy has some bootleg pins that ship straight from china, so tread carefully…)

Every pin I've designed is, thus far, EXCLUSIVE to my etsy. if you find it anywhere else, it's been ripped off! and once these stupid bootlegs pop up, it's basically a never ending game of whack-a-mole trying to get them all taken down...

fun fact, when mlp first came out in 2010, I had an entire comic I'd been drawing by hand with markers about my pony ocs which were guards in the royal castle. I still have the original 62 pages. fucking insane. anyway here's redraws of two of them lmao
