I cant believe its finally happened! My kids are in Shanghai Disneyland!!

Earlier this year, I had the most amazing opportunity to build 10 puppets for the new Zootopia street show! It was an absolute dream come true to not only be building puppets for a Disney resort, but to also be making real-life versions of characters that my Disney animation friends worked on in the original film!

I made all the baby bunnies (who I absolutely adore with my whole heart), the older sisters, and the elephants who can spray the audience.

This was also my first experience doing *professional* puppet fabrication and it led me to pursue my major career change this past year because I enjoyed it so much!

Fun fact: we made a bunch of different clothing for the babies. And since there wasn't a specific design for each one, I got to pick out their outfits! And if you look closely, the one in the pink shirt is actually wearing a Gazelle concert shirt that I gave her! ^^

If anyone happens to be going to Shanghai Disneyland, please send me photos or videos of the street show! I'd love to see more of what these guys are up to in the big city!! ~<3

What kind of foam do you use for puppetry/where do you get it? I have an eerily similar skull frame for a Skeksis puppet that has been on hiatus for 3 years bc I don't know what to tack on to him 😅

It's "high density foam," it's for cushions, you can find it at a lot of fabric stores! I just cut it with scissors but some people use heat knives. You'd definitely want a respirator for that, though.

The impetus for Gerald stems from a dream I've had for 20 years to build a skekSil puppet/suit. Also we've just moved and we don't yet have enough Halloween decorations to make our house exciting to trick-or-treaters, so I've decided to go a more theatrical route.

Laying in Felix’s arms after a long day was a great experience, as he held you a comfortable silence blanketed itself over the entire rooms atmosphere, it was a huge wooden room, royal looking but classy, a fireplace and slightly cabiny.

“Felix?” His hands stopped momentarily from rubbing your back as he was brought back to earth. “Yes dear?” He started moving his hands again, smelling your hair and inhaling your sent, enjoying the here and now.

“Even if you don’t love me and this is some big scheme, which you can’t blame me for thinking, I will always remember the softer moments we share, I love just being around you and I love you so much.” He hummed in response. “I suppose I care for you too, maybe.” His head was lightly hit by his lovers hand only to move into playing with his hair. “Alright, I do love you sweetheart. Now go to sleep, I want to rest with you for a little longer before we have to go to my cousin’s.”

I’m augmenting the “snail flail” miniature from WotK as a Krimble gift for a friend - Crafted eyes, a saddle and knapsack out of Green Stuff and carved out the lil <> mouth with a craft knife.

I have never painted miniatures before, so I naturally started with something simple like a dry brush zenithal base coat (this is sarcasm).

Honestly have no idea what I’m doing, but am having fun. Onto paint.

well you see before all that parsnipflower had opened the dark rift between the worlds, the immense celestial power that was one kept in chains between the border of starclan and the dark forest was unleashed onto the world of the clans giving them each comprehension of all animal knowledge on earth. roachskitter very quickly to harness the dark arts now given onto them, manifesting in them becoming the ultimate dark angel of the clans and reaping justice across all those who have wronged them. book six had bearsnuffle emerge from the celestial storm that had raged on for the arc, bearing the divine power of starclan and the ability to cleave through anything with their new found power. the arc ended with all three trapping the powers within themselves and, to ensure they never release onto the mortal plain again, are locked in a neverending fight within the storms in the sky.
