Nina entered college with high ambitions of becoming a novelist, maybe an editor at a major literary magazine if that didn't pan out. She had a very staunchly feminist mindset and didn't see much value is brainlessly hooking up. She was totally determined just to work, to study, to keep focused on what was important. Her sorority sisters didn't care for her attitude, perceiving her as stuck up, snobby. Boring, actually. They decided to play a prank on her after a few months of dealing with her fun-free attitude. Her sorority sisters could hardly contain their laughter as they crushed fertility drugs into Nina's nightly chamomile tea.
Their plan worked like a charm, almost too well. In a matter of days they caught Nina feverishly masturbating in the dayroom, watching a basketball match like it was porn. Her sorority sisters had a good laugh, telling her she had to stop denying her urges; Nina swore she never felt like this before, her pussy simply craved sex. Her whole body did. They took her to a club that night, crushing up more fertility drugs into her cocktails. Needless to say, Nina went crazy. She hooked up with ten different guys in one night, getting fucked in the men's room like a good filthy whore.
Four years and five pregnancies later, Nina remained in college pursuing a Master's of Arts in Literature. Miraculously she still had a will to become a professional, though she mainly wanted to write trashy erotic. Nina was now certifiably addicted to sex, making money on the side by hooking her once tight, youthful body. All the partying, sex, and pregnancies took their toll on her previously lean figure. Her breasts became saggy, floppy udders, embarrassingly gigantic. She always sported a big pregnant belly, and she was gradually fattening up on top of everything else, especially her hips and ass. Nina resigned herself to being an ever-growing nymphomaniac, always pregnant, seeing her number of kids as a personal score to get as high as possible, just like the amount of guys she's fucked. Two things she was now far more proud of than grades or a future career. Pushing out kids and taking cock was her true purpose, she finally knew....

Note
what are your thoughts on an 'everyone survives au', what they would do after the death game?
(Before I get into separate headcanons, I want to add that I think every single one of these characters would be struggle with paranoia. I mean, they were put in a death game.)
Sara Chidouin - Sara ends up staying at Joe's place a lot considering her Father was taken down with the company. It's easier for her to hang out with him then to stay at home, but she still calls her Mother daily to make sure she's alright. Other than that she continues going to class and her near death experience has only made her more determined to get good grades so she can go to a good school. She also finds a local kendo and joins as a student.
Joe Tazuna - Joe finds a lot of comfort with Sara staying at place. It makes him feel more secure that they're together, and the whole experience has certainly made him value their friendship. But outside of her, he keeps going to school with the intention of getting his diploma. He's not sure of what he wants to do after high school, but his experience has left him more determined then ever to live life in the moment.
More Undercut
Gin Ibushi - Gin goes back home and gives his Mom a big hug. He missed her a lot, and he's very glad to be home safely with Mew-chan. He was walked home by Sara and his Mother ensures that he can still see big sis Sara and all his other new friends. Despite his new connections his Mother is still worried for his safety, so she moves him to a private school that is much smaller. He gets a lot more help here and makes some good friends his own age, but he's still always excited to see Sara and Joe when they come to tutor him after school.
Keiji Shinogi - Keiji is forced to finally get therapy considering his friends around him know that he can't keep ignoring his issues. He gets a lot of encouragement from them, but he knows that the healing process takes awhile. While he works on himself, he gets a job as private investigator and helps people that the police won't. Also he dyes his hair a different color to symbolize a fresh start. (Also because the person writing this post hates his hair color.)
Alice Yabusame - With ASU-NARO's grip loosened, Alice is released from jail within a few months time. He doesn't go back to making music considering Reko already has an established band and he feels like he's intruding, but he still gets what he really wants. He gets to play music with Reko again. This time for fun without the pressure of stardom. As for his career...well it comes to him while he's reapplying hair dye. He decides that he would make a great hair dresser, and Reko supports him whole heartedly.
Reko Yabusame - With a near death experience to change her life, she decides to send Alice a letter in prison and offer a chance at reconciliation. He takes it, of course, and she's glad that she's the first one to great him once he's released. Outside of Alice, she decides to tour with her band. Life is short, and she wants to play as much music as she can in that time!
Nao Egokoro - Nao goes back and finishes her collage education. That's what's most important to her, but after her education is said and done she works out a plan with Mishima to become his official mentee. She wants to teach art to some day, but in the meantime, she's more than happy to attend all the shows Reko invites her to.
Kazumi Mishima - He goes back to teaching as that's his passion. Yet now he tells his story to his students as both a cautionary tale and a tale of persevering despite all odds.
Q-taro Burgerberg - Q-Taro goes back to playing sports. It's what he loves, and he's not going to let a death game slow down his passion. He also keeps in contact with Gin and frequently takes him to watch his games.
Kai Satou - With parts of both his families taken down with ASU-NARO, he is left having to live for himself. He gets a job as a chef and his own apartment in the middle of town. It's all very new to him, as is his friendship with the rest of the group. He talks to Q-Taro and Sara the most, often checking in on them to make sure that they're doing okay. He's even let Sara crash at his place a few times if Joe wasn't around and she needed a break from home. He really feels like she's family, and it fills some of the hole Mr. Chidouin left behind.
Kanna Kizuchi - Kanna is very glad to be home with Kugie and her parents. She's also glad that she has Sara and Shin's number and can call them anytime if she wants hangout. They both frequently come to pick her up to get ice cream, and they pick her up from school so she doesn't have to walk home.
Shin Tsukimi - Shin doesn't handle being put into a death game well. Even though he survived despite all odds (or percentages) he still struggles with shaking the fear. Anyway, let me elaborate on my AU about this exact scenario where Shin ends up traveling and living in hotels so no one can truly track his location. Also very important note that he keeps with Kanna and they eventually find out that they're bio siblings after he meets Kanna's parents and they recognize the name of his parents.
Dolls
Ranmaru Kageyama - Ranmaru gets Sara's, Joe's, and Anzu's number before he leaves the death game. Despite it all, it feels...refreshing to have new friends in his life that are happy to talk with him. He spends a lot of time texting with them, and when he's not doing that he relaxes with the knowledge that he has genuine friends.
Naomichi Kurumada - He's proud of everyone that they were all able to win, and he has a new outlook on teamwork considering they were all able to win together. He continues to box, but now he has new friends coming to watch him from time to time.
Anzu Kinashi - Anzu goes back to business as usual. She likes being a funny clown girl and wants to continue her craft. She would like to see her mentor again to tell him all that's happened, but she'll be happy preforming either way.
Mai Tsurugi - Mai goes back to the bakery and uses her near death experience as a way to make money. Anytime anyone comes in she goes "I just had the roughest time,🥺" so she will get better tips.
Shunsuke Hayasaka - Shunsuke tries to find a different job that doesn't tangle him up with ASU-NARO. He figures he'll try to get some kind of desk job, but in the meantime, he enjoys taking his morning jogs again.
Hinako Mishuku - It depends on how the participants escaped the death game. If ASU-NARO was running then she'd stay with the company and wonder what was next. Maybe it would be another death game, or maybe they'd do something new, but she is loyal since ASU-NARO presumably wouldn't get the chance to betray her in this route. However, if ASU-NARO was destroyed, then she'd have to find an entire new path in life. Where that could take her I couldn't say with as little as we know about her real personality now.

word count: 1.7k
warnings: cursing

Tumblr media
bangchan
the class president
chan is extremely popular. he's friends with literally everyone due to his approachable personality. he doesn't want people to feel left out and is very attentive
the oldest in the class, so people naturally respect him
you would think being class president would make him unpopular due to the responsibility coming with that role. but in reality, he was voted as class president by the rest of his peers because he's so well-liked. everyone trusts him and his personality exudes natural leadership qualities
has a rapport with everyone, including the teachers. so if he doesn't hand in his homework on time or forgot to do an essay, his powerful persuasive skills come in handy
which makes him very good at debating. he tends to lead the debates but finds it interesting to sit back and watch the chaos unfold. he's a good devil's advocate
best subjects are physical education, music and mathematics. but he doesn't really do particularly badly in any subject. his grades are both decent and consistent
he or changbin are the team captain of the majority of the sports teams
he's also very good at keeping himself organised. always on schedule and does the homework as soon as it's given to him so that he has more time to do what he wants, much like seungmin
lee know
the class clown
bet you thought i was going to put hannie as this
but nope.
please don't fight me in the comments i beg just hear me out
i see minho as the class clown because he is naturally gifted in wit and intelligence
he's not the typical class clown. they usually are stereotyped to be the most extroverted and outgoing person in the class, which is not the case with our dear minho
rather, he's just the funniest person there. mostly everybody appreciates his humour
what's better is he's able to piss around during class and still have the charisma to get away with it
also fairly level-headed so he exceeds in academically inclined subjects
also strong in the arts. he's damn good at drama, that's for sure. he has the confidence to play any character
and it will come as no surprise that his core subject, the one he actually cares about, is dance
he comes across as cynical, satirical and a humourous genius, so it comes as a surprise to most teachers that he favours dance above all subjects. seeing him express himself in that way is truly amazing
because of this, he definitely has a lot of secret admirers
changbin
the jock
i mean, what did you expect
probably the most popular person in the school, let alone the class
everybody knows him and respects him
he, in turn, knows everybody. which means he knows all the gossip. and knows who to spill the tea to
has many circles of friends, it's hard to keep up really
involved in a lot the sports teams and is usually their main player
despite being smaller in height, he's the best at basketball. knows how to bounce around people and uses his speed and energy to get to where he wants
all the ladies love him, obviously
he's super flirty and highkey likes the attention. and it's hard not to give him it
but he never really comes across as obnoxious
he's just there for a good time, really
probably one of the loudest in all his classes. put him in a class with wooyoung and yeonjun and no one is getting any work done
main focus is sports, so his grades in other subjects are average or lacking a bit
he knows if he puts his mind to it he'll probably be much better in academic subjects. but that just doesn't appeal to him. he'd prefer to focus on the teams he's part of and the bonds he shares with people, which does unfortunately take a toll on his grades
hyunjin
the artist
he's a very stereotypical art kid who sits in the back of the class sketching detailed drawings he rarely shows off
but he's not necessarily all shy and quiet
his group of friends definitely brought him out of his independent shell
best friends with felix, who is essentially a louder version of himself. if these two sit anywhere near each other in a class and there's no way to get any work done from the amount of talking they do
obviously exceeding in the arts, particularly art and english. he has to have a creature outlet, and his talent in art comes so naturally to him. his art teacher absolutely adores him and uses his work as an example to all the other classes
as for english, hyunjin seems to find it very easy to understand the writer's thoughts and intentions. but his favourite lessons have to be when the teacher is discussing poetry, a hobby he has been working on recently
hyunjin laughs at everything, which can often get him into trouble. whether it's changbin making an inappropriate joke or seungmin being his witty, awesome self, hyunjin giggles at them all
overall, hyunjin keeps to himself, only coming out with his opinions if needed
han
the all-rounder
he's the annoying guy who doesn't revise or study on any test but will get some of the top grades in the class
liked by many people, but also disliked by the same amount
they're just jealous, what can i say?
gets a LOT of attention from all genders who can blame them
people are sometimes baffled by han because he, being his hilariously amazing self, may appear to set low expectations. he's loud and talks a lot and cracks jokes in every other sentence
but then he's the only one to work out this weird ass equation on the board. or he's the first to understand complex concepts in philosophy class
he's very bright, to say the least
however, he'd say music and drama are his forte. or, at least the subjects he likes the most
he and minho are a match made in hell heaven and the cause of many teachers' joys (and anxieties). on the one hand, they work well together and you should see them in debate class, oh lord-
however, they can be very unpredictable
you can't help but indulge in their ludicrous behaviour, purely to see them try and outwit each other
they're outrageously flirty about it too
they're just the main characters at this point, idk
felix
the sunshine
there's no other way to describe felix other than being wholesome
he has no beef with anyone. he minds his own business and just does his own thing
focuses on improving himself
wants to create a productive and positive learning atmosphere
takes regular mental health breaks his attendance is low and encourages other people to do the same
he's like the class therapist. he inspires comfort in all his fellow classmates. he may not be the stereotypical popular guy but he is the most well-liked because of his kindness
having a gracious heart and a soft, welcoming smile on his face make him absolutely irresistible to all. his natural, gentle charms are no match for mean-ass bullies
besides if anyone laid a finger on him they would be severely beaten by chan and changbin but we move
always fun to work with in group projects because he has a lot of creative ideas. thinking outside of the box is his speciality and he has quite a lot to offer to the group
makes brownies for everyone in the class during wintertime <3 he never leaves anyone out, even people he hasn't gotten a chance to get to know yet
he just balances the group out and acts like a glue that holds the class together
seungmin
the teacher's pet
seungmin is extremely organised. he's got his folders colour-coded and containing all of his notes. he has one for all subjects so he can compartmentalise his thoughts for each one
you can always rely on him for any sort of stationery. forgot your pen? he's your guy. you need a highlighter? he's got both a neon and pastel collection to choose from
teachers love him. he hands in work on time, contributes regularly to lessons, and is overall the perfect, model student
will probably remind the teacher that they set homework much to everyone's annoyance
will scold the others if they don't have theirs
he, like bangchan, usually does the homework as soon as it's set, just so he can get ahead
he made an unlikely friend in jeongin, who is quite different to him in terms of personality
they can't quite figure each other out but their differences push them closer together. it's cute. and both of them are good influences on each other so being paired up in class is usually a safe option
they joke that they're the most normal people in the class
overall, seungmin is a hard-working student and his grades are a good reflection of that
he's more worried about burning out, which has happened in the past
jeongin
the new kid
at first, jeongin was very quiet and didn't talk to anyone
being the new guy in class was already daunting enough. but seeing all these big and impactful personalities - like the class president who seems to have a charming and commanding presence, or the extremely handsome humour expert who twists everything into his own little joke - it's hard not to be intimidated
would he fit in? would he make friends?
of course it's natural to worry about this sort of thing, especially coming into a new class
but in reality he has nothing to worry about
the class president, bangchan, immediately takes him under his wing, allowing him to hang out with his group and get to know the others
which is very daunting, considering they all have unique personalities and different ways they interact with one another. jeongin finds that initially intimidating
but he's able to play it cool. and soon he finds no problem settling into the class and making new friends
seungmin is the person he sticks with the most and ends up having a close bond with
jeongin gets average grades. he had good days and bad; one day he's contributing the most in class and the next and the next day he doesn't say a word

💙🆘️Mona Lisa🆘️💙
Tumblr media
Specific Trigger Warnings -
Kidnapping, forced/unconsentual amputation and restraint, mental/physical torture, stolkholm syndrome, dehumanization
General info -
Mona's birthday is November 23rd. She is a Scorpio-Sagittarius cusp ♏️♐️
Mona's love language to be physical touch, but has since changed to quality time.
Mona Lisa is Demisexual Bicurious.
Mona has PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
Mona has SAD (Separation Anxiety Disorder).
Mona has Stolkholm Syndrome.
Personality traits -
Mona is empathetic, adventurous, sporty, creative, resourceful, extroverted, and a people-pleaser.
Mona was always empathetic, wanting to comfort those around her and help the little guy. This could make her empathize with people who didn't deserve it, though.
Mona has a taste for adventure and challenge, she always loved playing sports and working hard. She loved wandering the streets of the Hidden City, too. Sadly, this resulted in her being kidnapped.
Mona is extremely creative, as well as resourceful. She loves arts and crafts, and thinks of creative (if not complex) solutions to her problems.
Mona was extroverted, and made it her mission to make friends with everyone she met.
Mona was also a people pleaser, wanting everyone to like her, which also translated to being a people-pleaser to Donnie, and listening to what he said, in the hopes he would treat her better.
Important details -
Her dynamic with Donnie -
Mona has stolkholm syndrome, and is empathetic, sweet, and friendly with Donnie.
Mona originally was terrified of Donnie, but began to fawn him in the hope she would gain freedom for 'good behavior'.
Donnie treats Mona much like a pesky dog, and will often insult her or hit her. But sometimes he also let's her have things like crayons and paper.
Mona has long since stopped trying to escape, as she sees it as pointless and is too dependent to even consider it anyway.
Donnie kidnapped Mona when she was 14.
Donnie kidnapped Mona for her acidic spit, to run experiments and have limitless supply.
Mona cannot run away, because her muzzle is completely glued to her teeth with a homemade cement. It would be extremely difficult to get off without causing mouth trauma. The muzzle would also likely lock completely shut, meaning Mona would starve/dehydrate before she could get help.
Her life before the Hamatos -
Mona was originally a popular, well-liked, and skilled teen who was often seen as helpful, kind, and determined.
She had a brother who went by the easier-to-pronounce name, 'Mondo'. They were twins, and very close.
Her family now holds yearly memorials to remember Mona, on her birthday. It's a party, because they know Mona would've preferred a party to remember her then something sad.
Mona had good grades and a bright future.
Fun facts -
Mona's favorite food is fast food, and she likes fizzy drinks.
Mona likes to draw.
Mona is not allowed to sit on the couch/be on furniture.
Mona's actual name is Y'gthba, Donnie just named her Mona Lisa because he didn't care to know her actual name, and because she 'is a work of art'. She barely responds to her actual name now.
Mona loves swimming.
Mona liked to weave her own bracelets.
Her and Raph get along well.
She hates Leo.

General Kiyotaka Ishimaru Headcanons
Tumblr media
Now THIS is my favorite character
This bad boy can fit so many headcanons it's crazy
Once he joined Hope's Peak, he got friends and learned to loosen up a bit, get some new hobbies and actually have fun.
So first off, he's not some "uwu soft boy" let's get that out of the way.
So mans athletic as fuck - probably joined a shit ton of sports as he grew up - all whilst balancing his grades ofc, you can't participate if you don't have good grades. Once he joined Hopes Peak he kept working out on his own time.
He participated in these sports specifically: soccer, swim, boxing, track and field, and kendo (his favorite is kendo)
He unintentionally got ripped due to all of it and it stuns his father to this day.
Like man drop your workout routine and meal preps that body of your is absurd.
Religiously takes cold showers. It scares everyone. He prefers it over warm showers. Even in winter.
Not as unpopular as many think. He's not a "cool kid™", but lots of people see him as a nice kid. No one really has an issue with him - unless they're a trouble maker, and if so, they despise the moral compass.
Otherwise, he's described as a nice dude, albeit loud and obnoxious at times.
Can't pick up on social cues for the life of him. Feels awful about it afterwards.
Fucking LOVES graphic novels and comics. Typically ones with an action hero or a fantasy setting. He's a dork. He usually hides it out of embarrassment, shame, or even guilt. At one point, Chihiro found one of his comics, prompting him to almost have a heart attack on the spot.
The same goes with anime. He rarely binges shows, but he'll put on some action or fantasy anime in the background while doing something else. Same thing with the comics, but less prone to have a heart attack.
Likes to spend his free time either hanging out with friends, studying, or look at pieces of art from other students. He's a big fan of Yonaga's work and often finds himself sitting in the art department to watch her work.
Big 'ol Art Historian btw. Big fan of the Romantic and Rococo Period.
He was once dragged into a gaming session with Chihiro and Mondo to play Mortal Kombat 9. Quickly chose a main and mastered it, always beating their asses whenever they play. (He's a Kenshi main)
Give him a topic and he will discuss it until you tell him to stop. Literally anything interests him - he's open for any discussion or debate.
Due to his friendship with Mondo, he unintentionally enlisted a gang of bodyguards that have his back 24/7. Even though he can defend himself just fine.
He likes dogs and cats well enough, but isn't exactly the best with animals, as he can't sit still long enough to let one get used to him. He strives to earn animals affection one day.
Also loves to play cards or other tabletop games - Celestia is often his opponent in that regard, indulging in his interest whilst teaching him tricks and techniques so she could have a formidable opponent.
And lastly, his sleep schedule is so fucked up.
Yasuhiro, Mondo, or his father have to drag him away from his work to make him go to sleep. If they don't catch him in time he will overwork himself before his body just forces itself to shut down.
On the bright side, it's given them some funny and ridiculous sights to walk in on.

" I don't see why I need a stylist, When I shop so much I can speak Italian" KaneYeWest's Graduation is a classic and timeless album that puts the whole world in a trance. This is definitely at the top of my list for favourite Kanye albums and possibly number 1. It is just such a fun, creative and exciting album for many reasons. Graduation is Kanye's third studio album released on September 11th of 2007. When it was released it gained 957,00 first-week sales and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 which resulted in his highest-grossing album at the time. It ended up winning 4 Grammys in 2008 which were Best Rap Album (Graduation), Best Rap Song (Cant Tell Me Nothing), Best Rap Performance by a duo or Group (Good Life) and Best Rap Solo Performance (Stronger).
Tumblr media
When I was in grade school Songs like Stronger, Good Life, Champion, Can't Tell Me nothing, Flashing Lights ect were being played everywhere. When I say everywhere, I mean the mall, radio stations, grocery stores, TV shows, movies and so many more public places. The song that appealed the most to me was Stronger as it was just such a powerful song. " Now that-that-that-that that don't kill me can only make me stronger" was the one line I can remember always being sung and it Would make me feel focused and determined whenever I was playing a sport or working out. The drums and synthesizers are what really had me going as they were boomy and very upbeat. Also, the lyrics were all motivational and would put me in a GO mode mindset. My dad used to play this song all the time when he was at the gym so it got stuck in my head and I started loving that song. From then on I would hear Kanye's name from time to time as he was always being talked about. He was one of the biggest artists at the time and family and friends loved listening to his music.
Tumblr media
Something about The cover art for this album is what makes me enjoy it even more. It looks like he used every colour in a rainbow to make the cover art as it is just so vibrant and beautiful. There aren't many albums these days where artists put a lot of effort into the cover art as the music industry is just seeming to get lazy as the years go by. The bear that is flying on the cover is supposed to be a representation of Kanye as he is graduating from school and leading towards a new life and a new chapter of music since this was the third and final album of the higher education trilogy. Graduation is definitely at the top of my list of favourite album covers and I have been trying to find a Graduation poster for so long to put up in my room but it seems like they are so rare to find.
Tumblr media
Looking back at this album 16 years later I can honestly say I have never seen an album more fun and kid-friendly but so well made lyrically and productively that any audience would have been astonished by how remarkable it was. I am still amazed to this day at how he created such an album only a couple of years into his career. It's an album that I have so much appreciation for as it really changed the music culture. Rap culture before the release of Graduation was very much still old-school rap as rappers like Jay Z, Eminem, Outkast, Nas and more were still releasing music but nothing more than just the regular old-school rap lyrics and beats. Graduation brought a mix of both Hip-Hop and Rap into one album and was blended with exquisite taste. Instead of Kanye's previous soul-based sound he progressed to more anthemic compositions and found a way to conjoint them together without failing to please his audience. As one I can say I was certainly not displeased with this album as it stuck to me as soon as I heard just a few songs off of it.
Tumblr media
I could go on and talk about this album for hours on how good it is so I hope to those who read this blog that you go to spotify right now and put on some Kanye West and I promise you that you will be amazed by this man's creativity.

Say hello to my current Miraculous team~!
We've got Lucil/Wildbug They love rock and other types of music, they're studying to be a musician in Paris while living with their mother, but they've lived in London the majority of their life with their father. In this alternate universe of the series, Lucil got the Ladybug Miraculous instead of Marinette. Master Fu slipped them the Miraculous after an admittedly unplanned pickpocketing of Fu's wallet. Lucil noticed the pickpocket, chased them down and brought the wallet back to Fu. They have a MASSIVE crush on André and don't bother hiding it. Flirting galore whenever there happens to be a good moment between the two of them.
Pronouns: They/Them Age: 19 Height: 5'9''
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Andre/Serre Noir André practices martial arts in France. He lives on his own, working as a barista during their free time from school; they study music alongside Lucil. After spotting Master Fu walking with a bunch of bags outside of the cafe they work, he invites Fu in for a cup of tea and after their shift, he helps Fu carry his groceries all the way home. Although Lucil flirts on them constantly, there's no romantic feelings from André towards them. He likes them, but purely platonically.
Pronouns: He/They Age: 21 Height: 6'3''
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maeve/Mielbee Maeve's one of the top dancers in her school, joining in break dance tournaments here and there. In her free time, she works as a pizza delivery driver. When she won a tournament, a few kids approached her and asked if she could teach them some moves. This was nothing new for Maeve, and she gladly taught these aspiring dancers some basic moves. What was new was that a much older Chinese man approached and asked if he could learn these moves as well. Despite her reservations, she decided that if the man wanted to learn, nothing should stand in his way. She tries her hardest to teach him a few dance moves, but the man's bad back gets in the way. Maeve helps the man to a bench and goes to get him some pain reliever. When she returns, the man has vanished. Maeve notices something extra in her bag after she leaves the tournament; a six-sided black and red wooden box with a bee hair accessory inside.
Pronouns: She/Her Age: 19 Height: 5'2''

Liv/Terrave
Liv is a ballet student in France. She spends her free time working in her parents' garden and selling flowers. Pronouns: She/Her Age: 20 Height: 5'4''
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elyna/Glitchbit Elyna attends the same school as Marinette and Adrien, but they've never met. Elyna is an exceptionally adept hacker who taunts Max and Markov by occasionally breaking into the tiny robot for fun, only to prove they can get past Max's finest firewalls. Her narcolepsy makes her school life difficult, but she still manages to get good scores. Nobody would be surprised if they hacked their grades. She also quite enjoys DJing, especially for her friends.
Pronouns: Any Age: 17 Height: 4'6''
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jayce/Tovalry Jayce is Lucil's older brother, he works at a sports store and spends his free time mostly outside playing basketball with friends and hanging out with Lucil or Jieun. He enjoys plenty of different sports, but basketball, badminton and bowling are his favorites. Pronouns: He/Him Age: 27 Height: 5'6''
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kaleb/Serroid Kaleb is a tattoo artist and piercer with his own business. He knows Jieun because Kaleb did his tattoos and they've remained friends since. He also works with Agni. They aren't the best of friends, but do occasionally hang out outside of work.

She is a fan of the pastel gothic style and designs and sews her own clothes as well as accepting commissions from others. When she transforms into her hero form and uses a specific element at her command, the gradient color in her hair changes to match that element.

Get 2 Know Me Tag Game
Tagged by: @ruflirtingwithme – Thanks, bro! This was fun^^
Were you named after anyone?
Yes. I got named after a character from my mother's favourite movie back then. I never vibed with that one so I picked a more suitable name for me. Took me way too long even tho the choice was an easy and obvious one. Didn't name myself after anyone. It's just that the name I found for me is the only name that really feels like...me.
Do you have kids?
Only if the ones with fur or feathers count! Then I have 16.
If only human kids count: No. And it's going to stay that way.
Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Well...I DO use it but I think in a moderate amount.
What's the first thing you notice about people?
Their over all vibe.
What's your eye color?
Blue-gray. I like it.
Scary movies or happy endings?
Why not both?
Any special talents?
I'm very talented in finding lucky clover.
I have two different singing voices.
I have the talent to be good on a basic level on many things but never master any.
What are your hobbies?
Too many lol
Drawing, writing, sewing, cosplaying, baking, playing the lute, playing drums, spending time with my pets, singing, crafting, acting, swimming... about to put knife throwing to the list, too.
Probably forgot to mention things.
Have any pets?
Yes – a bunch! 3 rabbits, 4 budgies and 9 chickens.
What sports do you play / have you played?
I used to play chess when I was younger. I was pretty damn good at it. Won gold a bunch of times.
I'm not playing anymore. Haven't played in years.
Only sport I'm doing now is my work outs. Trying to gain some muscles. Going well so far.
How tall are you?
Smaller than I'd like to be but at least I'm one of the tall guys at work lol
What I'm lacking in height I'm making up with a big ego😅
Favorite subject in school?
Art. I've always been a creative kid so just sitting there drawing was pretty fine for me. English lessons were fine, too.
But all in all I hated school. Not because I didn't get good grades. Just because my school mates were awful people mainly. Glad that time is long over.
Dream job?
Vet tech. Always wanted to work with animals and help them.
Back when I was very young I wanted to become a vet or a famous singer.
Wouldn't complain becoming a singer or actor tbh. But I think I love my privacy too much for that.
Voice actor would be interesting, too. My best friend would sure love if I got into that.
Tagging: @a-hungry-little-chemical, @pinkplushchicken, @bawdabaw, ....I think most people I want to tag already got tagged so whoever reads this: you are tagged too! If you want to.

August 2023 Books
The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion Vol. 1-6 by Beth Brower
Although I had to fight myself a bit to ignore anachronisms, I did enjoy these! The earlier ones more than the later ones, but I will definitely be continuing this series as more come out.
And I know it's setting us up to ship, but am I horrible for thinking that none of Emma's potential suitors are a good fit
Towers in the Mist by Elizabeth Goudge
I normally like most of Goudge's books, but I regret I had a hard time getting through this one. As ever, the prose was lovely, but I struggled to get invested in the characters.
Deep Secret by Diana Wynne Jones
I liked this one on the whole, but it took me forever to finish for some reason! I've started the sequel and am finding that it's more approachable, or maybe I'm just reading it at a better time.
Father's Arcane Daughter by E. L. Konigsburg (reread)
This is a bizarre book, but I love it and keep coming back to it. The characters may not be easy to like, but what's behind it is evident, and the emotion very poignant. There's also a TV film adaptation (titled Caroline? and it's free to stream in a few places) that's pretty close to the book and well-done.
Beyond Authority and Submission: Women and Men in Marriage, Church, and Society by Rachel Green Miller
I don't read a lot of books like this, but someone around here recommended it, and I've been struggling for a while with this issue, so I picked it up. Miller makes a lot of good points and I really appreciated what she had to say (and wish I could share this perspective with some churches I'm familiar with).
The Aviary by Kathleen O'Dell (reread)
The initial setup and atmosphere of the book are great, but I regret that I didn't enjoy this one as much on the reread and probably won't be visiting it again.
The Edge of In Between by Lorelai Savaryn (reread)
I reread this one as a refresher while researching the TSG paper and was able to put more of a finger on why this one doesn't work for me, either as a story or as a retelling. It's not just that Savaryn completely changes the themes and focus of the story she's retelling, but the result is heavy-handedly allegorical. Reminders that This Is A Metaphor For Grief are everywhere. Characters feel less like living humans than representations of things. They're oddly self-aware of their problems and all their causes and there's a lot of talking like a grief counseling session rather than ordinary people. It feels like A Message that happens to have a story rather than the other way around. Even in a middle-grade book, there should still be room for the reader to independently think about and analyze the themes rather than have everything spelled out, and I didn't get much of that here.
Wintle's Wonders, Circus Shoes, and White Boots by Noel Streatfeild (reread)
I was in a shoes reread mood, and a bit curious if the British editions (as two of these are) differed significantly from the American editions. White Boots seemed pretty similar to Skating Shoes, but Wintle's Wonders has a noticeable amount of material that's cut from Dancing Shoes. Mostly details that flesh out the world and characters a bit more, but there's also a conversation between Rachel and her uncle about her late father (his brother) that furthers their bond and should have been left in.
I love Streatfeild's protagonists. A lot. Even though most of them are unusually talented in the arts or a sport, they feel very real. Rachel Lennox is important to me because she's a very rare thing: a quiet, shy, bookish fictional heroine who isn't also perfectly nice and sweet but angry and frustrated and understandable for it even when she's mistaken and it's relatable. I want to protect poor exploited child-celebrity-in-the-making Lalla, despite her occasional obnoxiousness. And Peter and Santa's weird isolated upbringing that leaves them unequipped to handle the real world...strikes a chord, even if the way Streatfeild plays out their arcs doesn't always work for me.
Also apparently circuses in the late 1930s did have whole families of performers who lived and traveled with the shows, if the portrait that Streatfeild offers of that life is accurate. It lends a bit of surprising plausibility to the background of a certain famous fictional circus child who debuted in 1940.
Speaking of which...I've read a lot of comics in the last few weeks.
Damage (1994)
A rather obscure series that didn't get to live up to its potential because of an early cancellation. It's got its share of clichés (like a girl whose personality is basically "love interest" and who gets fridged) and dated stuff, but Grant is a compelling character who's worth reading the series for.
Various issues of New Titans
I was just here for pre-Alabama Bart and Grant. No idea what's going on with anyone else, but these boys were robbed of a promising friendship.
Titans (1999) #1-19 plus a few others
I was mostly here for a continuation of Grant's story after he got stuck in canceled-book limbo, but I also got sucked into all the Drama with the five original Titans, who are all on the team when the book begins. There's not a lot of Grant, but what's there is well done. Some weird elements in this series, and some plotlines I didn't love, but I appreciate the overall character-focused approach.
Jason's (re)introduction in Batman, A Death in the Family, and Under the Hood
I knew the gist of all this already but actually reading it all...yikes. Sad about this forever.
Superman: Last Son and The Third Kryptonian
I want to be familiar with all the kids in the superfam, which means I need to meet Chris. More of these to come. So far there hasn't been much done with his character. But he meets Tim at one point and they have some cute interactions, which I appreciated.
The stories that focus on the action aren't so much my thing, but I like that sometimes the series slows down to allow the characters to take a breather and bond. There's an issue that's just the family going to a beautiful other world/dimension to have a picnic and chat...and that's basically all that happens, and it's refreshing.
The Life Story of the Flash
Silver Age comics were wild. What even were some of those storylines. But the narrative does its best to ground the mythos's established ridiculousness in the humanity of the characters, which works.
Why don't we have any adaptations that give us this book's characterization of Barry? He's analytical, methodical, scientifically-minded, and a neat freak. He proudly wears bow ties, a crew cut, and a pocket protector. He's a certified Iowa boy and a comics nerd. He doesn't want a reporter to take his picture after he solves a case at his civilian job because he isn't the story. He considers himself boring and when his girlfriend tells him she finds his analytical mind attractive he coughs an entire lemonade through his nose. He's late to everything except the time he shows up five minutes early to a date because he's going to propose (on top of a Ferris wheel, no less). Bless his heart. Very different from the reckless, hyperactive speedsters who would succeed him, and the tension between his temperament and his powers is a fascinating contrast. The recent TV series was sleeping on some excellent material to work with.

I was rewatching Dangerous Romance for Reasons, and there's sooo many stuff happening in the background, but this dinnertime conversation between Kanghan and his father made me think a little deeper.
Tumblr media
Kanghan first brings up the topic of him running for the school president. His grandmother encourages him, saying how proud she'll be to have her son and grandsons be successful in their own areas.
"I could tell the whole neighborhood about it."
Very typical Asian elder talk. C'mon Asian ppl of ql tumblr, we've all heard about how the kid next door is the student representative/won an essay competition/ranked first in the exam/plays a sport in the state level/is good at singing etc etc etc right
Maybe a little very annoying (if you're not running for the school president, that is) but matches up with reality. Elders being proud of their kids' or grandkids' achievements, and more often than not pushing them to do better, to excel. You gotta do better than the other kids in academics/grades/sports/socialablity/arts etc etc
Then Kanghan's father speaks up and his words not only contrasts Kang's grandmother's (can I just call her granny from now? grandmother is too long a word) but with much of the usual way ('usual' cause I can't say every single parent/grandparent in Asia is the same) elders in Asia perceive the childrens' school life. Instead of telling Kanghan to work hard and do well, he actively *discourages* Kanghan to steer away from it.
"This kind of work is not easy, you know?"
"You don't want to do it. Trust me"
Now, I'm all for not stressing out kids. Personal experiences ahaha But this is actively restricting Kanghan from exploring and developing his interpersonal and leadership skills, which, I don't think any parent would want to do? Especially someone from the higher economic background, who would prefer their kids to be all shiny and nice. And this is also cutting off someone's chances of developing themselves, opening their wings to the world.... not the best thing a parent should do, certainly.
But it doesn't stop there. Mr. Father I forgot his name is not merely advising, or cautioning Kang. Instead, he is not leaving Kanghan with any decision to choose whether he actually wants to run or not. He's the one making Kanghan's choices, he's taking away Kanghan's agency.
His words appear to be full of care, concerned for Kang's safety. He just wants his son to enjoy his schools years fully.
"At your age, don't stress yourself out unnecessarily. Just have fun at school and hang out with your friends. Then come home to enjoy a good meal of food. Have a good night's sleep."
But, it just hits me as wrong. Idk why, maybe I'm picking too much, looking at all the wrong things and making the worst assumptions. But still, telling their children to only enjoy themselves and do nothing else... I don't feel like that's the best for their future life, not matter how much generational wealth they'll inherit. The need to show off kids is proportional to economic affluence, in my experience?? But ofc very variable
"These kind of thing suits you better. Trust me"
This line, especially. It makes it seem that Kanghan never had a choice. His father had made all the choices for his present and future based on the image of Kanghan he has created on his mind. Is his image actually true to reality? We don't know yet (it's only the 1st ep and I'm def digging too deep and pulling wild theories out of slowly-thickening-but-still-too-this air.)
Kanghan will be what his father wants him to be, what his father believes would suit him. Not so much of a caring father then, eh?
Another interesting thing is Kanghan's posture. He's tense, hunched, not meeting his father's eyes except for in quick, shifty glances. Completely different from his father's confident, smiley way of presenting himself. He's not smiling, he just listens and agrees quickly without saying a word of opposition, or bringing up his own views on the topic.
And in moments like these I wish I knew gifmaking because when these conversation is happening, Kanghan is fidgeting with the cutlery in his hand. He's nervous, stressed.
And his father, who doesn't want his son to be stressed, should atleast be able to tell how the atmosphere has turned heavy, right? but he doesn't seem t care much about stress on his son if he's the one behind the stress.
Now I'm no body language expert but these are some tell tale signs (though the context of Kang's nervousness can be due to some other history he has with his father, rather than emotional manipulation?)
Tumblr media
"Have this, son."
And the obedient son is rewarded with a gift of affection. A show of care. Positive reinforcement. Whatever you wanna call it.
Kang tries to smile but of course he can not.
There's another thing, Grandmother, the oldest one at the table, who ought to have enough authority in the household to counter Mr Father, if not more (cause seniority, filial piety and all that), does not oppose him. Though she is not happy with the decision, and she also wants to see her grandson shine and smile.
Then we cut to the scene of Pimfah hope I'm not mistaking names again and Kanghan in the garden. Here, Kanghan seems fine, he's smiling, but he seems to have a dangerous (sadistic?but not in the fun way. also half title drop yay!) streak to him.
The whole dog discussion shivering and hugging my cats protectively.
"My father told me, if you want to tame a dog, don't be afraid to punish it to let it learn."
At first I thought he's just being his privileged rich oppress the poor talk that he's socialised into for being born into wealth.
But after thinking this way, could it be that the one getting punished and tamed, is actually Kanghan himself? With the way his father treats him, denial followed by care, and the way Kanghan does not even try to disobey his father's words... hmmm....
"They say if you hit a dog too much, it can become aggressive."
Being abused as a child lead to higher chances of the child turning abusive, a bully themselves in later life.
That said, whatever one faces in childhood or any other walks of life is NO excuse for further harming another person. Lots of abuse victims become activists, volunteers, or research into abuse prevention and participate in policy making, too.
But anyway, *if* abuse of truly happening in the father-son relationship, can we hope that Kanghan directs any resultant aggressiveness towards his father at the end of the show? Cause idk if a man of such power and wealth can be held accountable to the law... We didn't get this with Vegas but can I hope?
That said, the following dialogues has weakened my line of thought.
But then again media is always perceived differently by different people based on their socialisation and experiences so...
SO anyway, that's some of the scattered thoughts I had! This is probably not a correct observation (my guesses are never right, I'm not lucky at cards ueueue), and ep 2 will prove it wrong in a few hours. Can't say I'm not looking forward to that ehehe~ What consequences will Sailom face for his daring? Will the teacher get punched? Will Kanghan get beaten? (hopefully by Sailom or his friends and not by his father) Will Nawa get slapped? (Guy looks like he packs a mean slap, and Marc Pahun looks pretty af when he's miffed u.u) Will Pimfah have cute girlie? (I CAN HOPE), will we get to see Sailom's elder brother?
ALSO, since we have yet another politician and his rich, spoilt on the exterior son airing on Saturdays, my views have certainly been influenced, too. There are too many similarities (except Kanghan actually still has a mother figure?), so high chances I'm unconsciously projecting Senator Thattep and Tanthai's relationship on Kanghan and his father's. Maybe all they have is some coldness, or historym or issues regarding Kanghan's mother? The possibilities are not endless, but there's a lot u.u

Got tagged by @arts-i-enjoy at just the right time to be able to do one of these things. It's a nifty ask game!
Are you named after anyone?
I think my middle name is based off of some kind of Sears or Eatons model but I cannot verify this.
When was the last time you cried?
Ahh ha ha haha. next please.
Do you have kids?
Nah.
What sports do you play/have you played?
Competitively I used to play a lot. Hockey, curling, ringette, baseball, gymnastics, ice skating, volleyball, basketball. - Basically the only team sport that I didn't participate in was soccer because I couldn't stand soccer. Non-competitively I did rock climbing, general obstacle courses, roller blading, swimming, tubing/water skiing/wakeboarding, archery, hiking, snowmobiling, downhill and cross country skiiing... Dodge ball > : )
Do you use sarcasm?
No. Never. [/sarcasm]
What is the first thing you notice about people?
I don't really notice things in a particular order.... I guess someone's style since I usually notice like... earrings, pins, cute sweaters, neat beards.... novel stimuli is what I notice if I notice people.
What's your eye color?
Brown
Scary movies or happy endings?
Why not both?
Any talents?
I'd like to think I have quite a few. I can sing pretty well, I can draw pleasing things, I'm pretty good at making people laugh. I am a good listener and apparently good to bounce things off of. I got a lot of those "soft skills" you always hear about but can never monetize, lol. But I am content with just being helpful for the people in my life.
Where were you born?
Canada.
What are your hobbies?
Art, video games and animal keeping are the biggins because they are what I have the most energy for. I pick up and drop various physical hobbies (crossstitch, knitting, clay modeling) all the time though but none have a lot of staying power. I like the learning process more than anything, I think.
Can just "learning" be a hobby I guess?
Do you have any pets?
1 Doggo, 2 cats, 1 tiny parrot!
How tall are you?
Short enough to cause problems. 5'2" ish.
Favorite subject in school?
In school? Philosophy and Culture classes were probably my favs.
Dream job?
Ah haha. In a dream world, I want to be a little Renaissance Man with a patron who pays all my bills and leaves me to create. Occasionally asking for something specific to which I can bend my mind to, but otherwise allowed to create freely at my own pace. In reality? I don't really have job aspirations since my disability is so bad, but I'd love something just simple like working at a small town grocer or something. (lol, I say in reality as though big chains haven't made the concept of a general store all but nonexistent outside of extremely rural places ... and even then....) When I was in grade 6 we were supposed to like make plans and figure out what we wanted to do with our lives and I thought it was dumb because I was 12 and knew there were jobs out there I'd never even concieved of so how was I to pick right now? So I just said a dumb answer like I wanted to run a convenience store and didn't take it seriously. Though the more I am out in the world the more I think 12 year old me was right. Just a nice mostly quiet job serving my community, dealing with the public and all that entails but not necessarily the same overwhelming level as retail. And not like... in a city. Small town or bust for this dream I think.
So... uh...tagging... uh..... @evilweasel24 , @ravenbara , @rembrandtswife , @localcryptideli , um..um...um... that's all who I can think of to tag in this I am sorry v.v

Play together fight together
(its been a good while since I've written for Haikyuu, sorry its so scatterbrained.) (CW story contains Abuse, and emotional incest (nothing explicit) and violence,as well as hinting towards age regression))
Ushijima Wakatoshi is the most intimidating boy on Shirotorizawa’s team. In school, he was terrifying to most people due to his bluntness and resting bitch face. He could be sweet but he didn’t have the best social skill. The team didn’t mind thankfully, they seemed to think he was funny and a good team captain. He didn’t even like the sport at first, he didn’t hate it but his father brewed an awful association into him. Wakatoshi didn’t have a good relationship with his father, he didn’t have the best one with his mother but it was better than his father’s. His father was an abusive jerk who had been hurting his mother since they were married. She got pregnant with him to fix their marriage but that didn’t work so now he dealt with his father’s constant disdain for his existence. He was always told that he should join the volleyball team to repay him for this life interruption. Wakatoshi never had an interest in it when he was younger but took up martial arts not only because he liked it but it was to defend his mother in case his father got belligerent again.
He did martial arts from 5th grade up to 9th grade, but his father forced him out of it and made him join the volleyball team. Thankfully he still kept in touch with his old martial arts teacher, she was like the mother he wanted. She didn’t ask much of him, just for his best efforts, she encouraged him in school and motivated him to keep going.
Now he was in 11th grade playing volleyball and sure he didn’t like it at the start. But he had good teammates who sure could be rude at times, he could tell they were good people and had strong play styles. He didn’t know much more about them than that though since he never took the time to get to know them much. There wasn’t much getting-to-know-you time between walks to class or from home. There was one exception, Tendou Satori. Tendou would walk with him to and from school every day and he would talk his ear off the entire way and Ushijima would listen. It was better than having to remember what would happen some mornings.
Being with Tendou made him feel safe, made him happy. Sometimes it made him want to tell Satori what the hell was happening at home or ask to spend the night at his place. He still refrained from it even on his darkest of days when he’d go to school with a limp or bruises he’d try to hide. Some days the stress of being a team captain and his home life would make him sick to his stomach, or make him feel small or both. Ushijima never understood what happened but sometimes he would feel like a toddler who would just want to hide and eat snacks and not worry about things. He only let himself indulge in this feeling when he was going to bed. He would curl up under his blankets and quietly babble to himself and watch cartoons on his phone until he fell asleep.
This week was the team sleepover, something Tendou and the others thought would be a fun idea. Since they didn’t know each other as well in casual settings they figured it would be helpful! To say Ushijima was scared about it was an understatement, he was sick with fear! His dad wasn’t getting any lighter on his beating on his mother since their anniversary was coming up that weekend too and he was taking it out on her. His mother would always call up Ushijima for him to come to rescue her, or sometimes she’d crawl into his bed at night like a child wanting comfort from their parent.
Since the beating on his mother wasn’t getting any easier, he was getting in between them frequently and taking it for her! Throughout the week he had to come up with more and more excuses for the bruises, the busted lip, or the limping. He knew his team wasn’t stupid and some even offered for him to take him to the nurse. He refused each time telling them he would be fine and that it was nothing to worry about.
The day of the sleepover his mother slinked into his room behind him while he packed. She wrapped her arms around his waist as she asked what he was doing. He froze a little but sighed and continued packing as he spoke.
“Getting ready for a sleepover with the team, remember mom?” “hmm oh that's right, that thing. Forgot you were still on the volleyball team” She leaned her weight into his back as she whined a little about his absence.
“Oh man Toshi, I’m gonna miss you tonight, you’re always such good company.” He gave a nervous chuckle at this wondering where she was going with this. He felt her arms snake around his body and she hummed out a sigh.
“Hmmm your father and I are going out tonight ya know, think you could help me?” “help you with what?” “Get ready silly, I can’t go out looking like this.” Wakatoshi didn’t even have to turn around when he noticed the woman plop down onto the bed like a school girl looking up at him innocently. Her back-length brown hair was tangled and tousled from being grabbed and tossed by her husband. Her left cheek was bruised to being shoved into a wall, her wrists were both bruised from his harsh grips. Wakatoshi didn’t know why his mother still believed her husband had changed for the good when she was getting beaten almost every day! Wakatoshi didn’t question her to avoid the begging and crying she would do if he said no.
He put his things aside and focused on brushing her hair, listening to her talk about the good old days when Takashi still loved her. He covered up the bruises with makeup as she reminisced about the dates they used to go on and how she wished they’d do it more often. Sometimes it made Wakatoshi sad to hear her talk about it but other times it at least gave him some sort of hope that his father would change even if those chances were 0 to none.
By the time he finished up he could see the joy shining in his mother’s eyes, she squealed excitedly like a teenager going on her first date! Maybe things would go well tonight?
When Wakatoshi finished packing he flopped onto his bed and relaxed. He ignored the pain in his side from yesterday’s ‘session’ combined with the soreness of practice and just breathed. He lay there for as long as he could, he honestly contemplated calling out of it but he knew he needed to get out of the house even if it was just for a night.
“You really gonna leave me alone with that bitch of a woman!” Wakatoshi’s eyes shot open just in time for him to see a fist coming at him. He reflexively kicked his foot out for distance and sat up to see his father sneering and huffing.
“You little shit! You think that because you’re some big shot you can do whatever you want ey!?” Wakatoshi moved out of the way this time from his father’s target line then did his best to dodge the barrage of swinging fists. Wakatoshi tried using his foot to lightly kick at the man to keep him away but that only made the man angrier. He went over to Wakatoshi’s award cabinets for both volleyball and martial arts and grabbed one of the smaller trophies from the shelf. Wakatoshi was confused as to what he was doing, then he was rushed at, and the next thing he knew he was taking the trophy’s sharp edges to the face. He didn’t bother fighting back this time knowing it would only make it longer and harder on him. He just raised his arms to try and protect his head as much as he could.
“Hey get the hell off him!” A familiar voice yelled out. Only a second later the man was grabbed and tossed off Wakatoshi.
“The hell are you to order me around punk!?” “None of your damn business you asshole, who are you to be beating on your son!?” Wakatoshi looked up from his spot on the floor to see Satori hovering over the man a fist ready to strike. Wakatoshi had to get him out of there! He knew Tendou was actually going to hit him, he’s seen Tendou own up to his hit and never pulled any punches. Hurting up to his uneasy feet, he told Tendou to stop. Tendou paused and turned to him in surprise, Wakatoshi told him he’d explain outside.
“Let's just go, please.” He pleaded, Tendou huffed and lowered his fist, grabbed Wakatoshi’s bag for him, and headed out the door with the taller boy in tow. Wakatoshi’s mother wished them a good time before they left the house. A couple of steps down the sidewalk were filled with awkward silence before Wakatoshi spoke up.
“Sorry, you had to see that, Tendou.” Tendou raised a brow at him and stopped walking. Ushijima noticed this and looked at him confused.
“What?” “Why are you apologizing?” Wakatoshi got quiet and Satori continued.
“Why are you apologizing for me walking in on seeing your father beating you? That isn’t your fault, your father hurting you isn’t your fault, none of it was! Hell, I wanted to kill him when I saw him hitting you with that trophy!” “I-…You still shouldn’t have had to see that, Tendou….I could have defended myself…I should have defended myself better.” Tendou placed a hand on his shoulder with a serious look on his face.
“You shouldn’t have to defend yourself, you shouldn’t be put in that sort of situation to begin with.” Wakatoshi couldn’t look Tendou in the eyes anymore, how could he? When his only friend walked in on him getting abused by his father. Tendou then took Ushijima by the hand and started walking leading him down the road.
“Come on, we’re going to my house anyways for the sleepover. I’m gonna fix you up” Wakatoshi wordlessly followed him after pulling the hoodie over his head. Even though Tendou was with him the silence left him alone with his thoughts that were running 100 miles per hour. Was he mad at him? Would they still be friends?! Were even friends to begin with? Why does Tendou care so much it's not like that's the worst beating Wakatoshi’s been through. He’s a big guy why does he worry?
The longer he was lost to his thoughts the more the child-like feeling took over. He wanted to hide, he didn’t like the pain, and the thoughts in his head were being mean. He felt like crying so he stuck the tip of his thumb in his mouth to keep him quiet. When they got to Tendou’s place he let him inside the house and was told to sit on the couch. He plopped himself down after switching to his house shoes, setting his bag onto the floor he nervously waited for Tendou. When the redhead came back with a basket of first aid supplies started fidgeting.
“I-I can do it myself” Tendou shook his head sat beside him and turned Wakatoshi to face him. He lightly removed the boy’s hood and frowned.
“Oh, Ushijima…” His voice trailed off sadly and he gently moved Wakatoshi’s face around so he could assess the damage. He could see Wakatoshi trying to shrink away from him and asked if he was okay.
“Te-Tendou mad?” Tendou furrowed his brows at this and shook his head.
“No I’m just worried is all, it makes me sad to see you hurt.” Tendou noticed his voice change into a somewhat toddler-like speech. He didn’t comment on it and just cleaned up the boy’s face as he reassured him.
“I don’t like seeing people I care about get hurt, I wanna help you any way I can.” Wakatoshi nodded quietly and watched as Tendou bandaged him up. When he finished Tendou gently patted him on the head and asked if he wanted anything to eat. Wakatoshi shyly nodded, he hadn’t eaten anything that morning so he needed something. He went into the kitchen and came back with a PB&J sandwich and juice.
“Here ya go, you can’t munch on your thumb buddy” Wakatoshi quickly turned a shade of red in the face while taking his thumb out of his mouth. He thanks him for the sandwich and quietly eats it like he hasn’t eaten in days. Tendou had to remind him to slow down so he wouldn’t choke on it. Tendou put on some cartoons while they waited for everyone else to arrive.
When others did arrive things got hyped up fast, it was almost like a party full of teen boys. Games and movies all night long melting away the worries of their usual lives. Even Wakatoshi was laughing when Goshiki fell over during twister. Although he couldn’t completely forget the event that happened this morning, he could at least feel safe enough to enjoy himself. He stuck close to Satori who didn’t mind and encouraged him to interact with the rest of his team making sure he felt safe.
Late into the night, the boys slowly started going to sleep in their spots in the living room, four boys on the couch, some curled up against the wall and others in a blanket nest on the floor! It was almost completely silent aside from some snoring, then there was a beep from Wakatoshi’s phone. Wakatoshi hadn’t fallen asleep yet so he didn’t take long to check his phone. When he saw the text he almost threw up in his mouth.
It was a picture of his mother covered in bruises and cuts with a text from his father saying
“You better bring your ass home now and deal with her or I deal with her myself.” Wakatoshi quickly stumbled to his feet and started grabbing his things doing his best not to wake anyone up. Trying to make it past the sleeping boys on the floor wasn’t easy but just when he thought he was safe he heard someone call his name.
“Ushijima?” He stopped in his tracks and turned to see Tendou sitting on the couch they slept on. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes he asked where he was going.
“I-I have to go home Tendou” That woke him up fast Tendou looked at him worriedly asking why. Just as Wakatoshi was about to come up with an excuse his phone rang which woke up more of the boys. Wakatoshi knew he’d be in more trouble if he didn’t answer and tried to go into another room to answer. Even with him in another room, his father was loud and some of the boys who were woken up could partially make out the conversation. It was nothing but yelling derogatory things and threats while Wakatoshi remained silent.
Tendou looked at the group and quietly told them to get their shoes on as he leaned over to listen in on the phone call. There was quiet shuffling and muttering as the rest of the team woke up and got their stuff.
“AND IF THAT FUCKING RED-HEADED PUNK SHOWS UP I”M GONNA BEAT HIM BLACK AND BLUE!” The man on the phone hung up after his loudly heated threat. Wakatoshi huffed and leaned against the wall, sinking to the floor he wished for it to swallow him up. But right in front of him was a hand Tendou extended towards him
“Hey, come on, let's go.” “huh?” “Your old man expects you home right?” “yeah?” “well lets go before he decides to drive on up here” Wakatoshi reluctantly took the hand and got to his feet and walked out to the living room though was surprised to see the team looked ready to go.
“Sorry did I wake you guys? Why do you guys have your shoes on?” “Because I told them to get their shoes on, we could all hear that shit stain over the phone. So we’re going with you.” His eyes shot wide open at this and he shook his head.
“No no no, you guys, seriously don’t have to. I’ll be fine on my own, I don’t need you guys getting caught up in my shit” “Too bad dude, we’re in it now. No way in hell are we letting our team captain deal with that guy alone. Especially if we can help it” Smiled Ohira, Wakatoshi knew there was no talking them out of it so he led the way to his house in the dark.
When they got to Wakatoshi’s house it was eerily quiet, he didn’t hear anything from the outside like he usually would by now. When he opened the door to let himself in he barely had any time to react to a ceramic plate being thrown at him. He dodged it just in to see his father holding his mother by the hair. He threw her down to the floor and stomped on the back of her head as he yelled out.
“Oh wow, you actually showed up!” Wakatoshi threw the door open and told him to get off of her.
“And why the hell should I get off this useless slut, you coward. What are you gonna do hit me?” He antagonized, Wakatoshi huffed and walked up to him, grabbed him by the shirt, and threw him into the wall before kneeling down to his mother.
“You fucking brat!” Takashi growled out as he staggered to his feet, Tendou and Ohira hurried in behind Ushijima to keep Takashi from going after him.
“Back off old man!” Tendou started, Takashi snorted and challenged them
“I told him not to bring your punkass, didn’t I? What are you gonna do kid?” Tendou and Ohira grouped together to block him, matching his steps and keeping him cornered. Wakatoshi picked up his mother and ran out of the house. Leaving Tendou and Ohira to settle it with Takashi.
“Oi you bring Hana back right now you-” “SHUT YOUR FILTHY MOUTH!” Tendou shouted and landed a punch right to his mouth, he kept punching and punching. Blow after blow rage consumed him
“You ever lay a hand on Ushijima or his mother again and I will end you where you stand, you hear me!?” Tendou threatened, no one had ever seen Satori like that. Sure he could be intimidating on the court but this was different. He had a feral yet angry look in his eyes, he looked ready to snap this man’s neck if Semi didn’t yell for him to drop him and leave. Wakatoshi dropped Hana off at a friend's house a few doors down and came back apologizing for the entire mess.
“Don’t apologize, dude, just wish we could have helped out sooner. Your mom gonna be okay?” “yeah she’ll be fine, she’ll hate me for a bit but, she’ll be fine.” “All alright let's go back, m’tired” “Yeah me too”
The walk back to Tendou’s house was filled with laughter, jokes, and running competitions to see who could get there faster. So of course it didn’t take long for them to fall asleep once they got back inside. Wakatoshi was still awake though, mind wandering into his toddler-like headspace, and was too nervous to sleep. He nustled at against Tendou hoping the other wouldn’t notice but blushed hard when he felt the smaller boy wrap his arms around him and softly rub his back. Wakatoshi let out a small whine and yawned figuring there’d be no harm in falling asleep like this. At least he was with someone who made him feel safe.

School electives I think the tbp crew + Gwen would have during high school
Tumblr media
I did some research on what electives there were in the 70’s but couldn’t find much, so apologies if some classes are up to date.
Robin Arellano
Robin oml, this dude follows Finney everywhere
“What electives are you gonna get next year? We should totally take this together.”
It isn’t really his thing but I feel like he’d become a student intern with Finney so they can work up in the main office together and do absolutely nothing but talk.
Would definitely take a wood shop class.
I feel like…to impress Finney, he took Home Ec at some point.
His mother and uncle would’ve wanted him to take personal finance as a learning curve, their family lives pay check to pay check and they don’t want Robin living like that when he’s older.
Would take Astronomy with Finney just to watch him get excited and dedicate his entire being to that class.
Finney Blake
10/10 Creative writing.
And of course as stated earlier, he’d take student intern and Robin would follow suit.
Definitely took art or performing arts at some point.
He took a lot of extra classes that weren’t needed like medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and possibly honors pre-cal.
We all know he’s an A-B student so he was most likely super busy with honors classes and didn’t have much space for electives.
Kinda feel like if he could, he’d take piano.
First Responder.
Astronomy and Robotics<3
Vance Hopper
Would also take a wood shop class.
Probably be in the same wood shop class as Robin.
Would they fight over who can make the best projects? Yes, yes they would.
Took art for like half a semester with Finney and then dropped the whole class cause the teacher said he has,”no creative talent.”
He was actually kicked out of the class for punching the teacher.
He didn’t have room for many electives either since he was so far behind, but Finney helped him catch up to where they could all graduate together.
I feel like always wanted to take Weight Training(lifting weights) or be in a sports team but never did because he honestly doesn’t like being around a bunch of people. Maybe that’s why he admires Finney and Bruce so much:) he wouldn’t admit it though…
Griffin Stagg
Would take performing arts or just art in general.
I feel like he would genuinely make a really good artist, ya know?
Finney inspired him to take piano.
He definitely seems like a smart kid so he was most likely busy with honors classes as well but due to Finney giving him a boost of confidence- he decided after school activities would suffice more so then electives
Robotics and you can’t tell me no.
(In case you’re curious, he’s the captain of the Question Bowl club, they go to other schools around Colorado to have contest where they answers questions most people don’t know the answer to^^)
Billy Showalter
Student Intern, he seems like the kind of kid to love helping people. To be specific, he’d love to work in the guidance office so he can show new kids around the school.
Home Ec because I hc that Billy likes to bake.
I feel like he would be interested in taking a typing class, just for the hell of it.
I love to imagine he’d take a first responders class.
I honestly just love the idea that he acts a bit like an asshole to his friends but he’s super sweet to other people around him. So obviously he’d take electives where he has to help people.
Journalism my beloved.
Bruce Yamada
Bruce is in a similar situation as Finney, he has relatively good grades and has taken a few honors classes so he would mostly do after school activities.
I forgot to mention that due to him and Finney playing baseball they’d both probably have a sports PE every year, and that’s counted as an elective.
Him and Finney took health together:)
I could see him taking debate and law studies.
Despite the baseball thing I think he may also do marching band or orchestra…hard to tell..
Gwen Blake
We all know she would’ve taken gymnastics or maybe aerobics, it just seems to be a family thing of being highly active.
Definitely took a year of art.
Wanted to join the drama club but never did.
SHE IS ON THE WEIGHT LIFTING TEAM AND YOU CANNOT TELL ME NO. (Let me dream:(((…)
Would either take first responder or a CPR training class:)
Her including everyone else probably took drivers Ed through the school. They didn’t have to but they wanted to.
Come on this is Finney Blake’s sister, we all know she’s just as smart as him, probably even smarter. I like to think she’s an all A’s student and eventually becomes the schools President.
For extra classes she didn’t need, she probably took Psychology and Debate.

okay i’m finally free and can do this tag game cause i was busy sorry for the wait lol
tagged by @killingevie @arodynamics-xo and @formula-red <3333 i love u guys
1. are you named after anyone?
yea! i’m named after my great aunt and she’s pretty cool and she’s super sweet. my full name is a different spelling of alison krauss, she’s a bluegrass singer that my parents like, bonded over. she’s pretty cool actually
2. when was the last time you cried?
uhhh probably when i was still getting over my ex and it was still raw. i got close to it during a rush at work literally today and i had like 5 orders to do alone and i got scared and i just like. profusely apologized for the wait and they were like “well you shouldn’t be alone anyways” and i was like idk sorry i guess
3. do you have kids?
no and i don’t plan to for a long time. i’m literally 19
4. do you use sarcasm a lot?
not really? i’m bad with detecting sarcasm a lot when it’s subtle but when you do the whole fake voice thing, then i get it. idk if it’s just the social anxiety in me or what
5. what sports have you/do you play?
so i dabbled a bit in elementary school and middle school but sports have never really been my thing. i did basketball camps in elementary school but i was not good at it, and then i did volleyball camps from fifth grade to seventh grade. i was part of the volleyball team in seventh grade but i wasn’t good and i wasn’t like already part of their crew so i wasn’t treated very well. but i joined tennis in eighth grade and i loved it and i played it up until my senior year of hs when covid cancelled our season. i was more into music, i did band and played french horn in middle school, and have done choir and theatre from fifth grade all the way up to my senior year.
6. what’s the first thing you notice about people?
i’m good at reading people’s faces. i can tell if someone doesn’t like me even by the twitch of an eyebrow. but usually i notice their eyes and smiles first. windows to the soul, am i right? i’m really bad at eye contact when people are also looking so it’s a bit awkward lol. i also love people’s smiles, and i’m able to match emotions p well
7. scary movies or happy endings?
so i used to be big into happier movies, like i would actively avoid movies that made me feel bad cause i didn’t want to feel like that. but once i took my film class in my second year of college i’ve appreciated movies that make me sad and uncomfortable. there’s so much i missed on by being afraid of feeling bad. i really enjoy psychological horror/thrillers, but i’m not into super gory or jumpscare-filled horror movies. think like full metal jacket, ones that make me feel scared in a tense way rather than just violence, although fmj has both
8. any special talents?
depends on what you call special. i did art for two years for college so i’m not too bad at that. i can sing but i haven’t sung in a non-private manner since high school so i’m pretty rusty. i’m not really that special when i think about it and i’m pretty ordinary. but i can make good coffee i guess.
9. where were you born?
north-eastern wisconsin and i barely have left the state in my life other than week-long vacations to florida as a small child that i barely remember.
10. what are your hobbies?
i still draw in my free time, even though i’m still working through my burnout. i like walking around town and driving for fun, i read and play video games but i’ve kinda been falling out of that. i like animal crossing, minecraft, destiny 2, and f1 21 (the only good one on xbox game pass). but i’m not very good at racing games yet cause i don’t have a wheel, i’m on controller. if you consider my hyperfixations hobbies, im big into f1 rn but in the recent past i’ve been really into total drama island, and mcyt (but i barely talk about that anymore)
11. do you have any pets?
yes! back at home i’ve got two cats named rudy and hermey, they just turned 19 in may and they may sound old but they are still kicking it and oh so sweet. they’re brothers and i’ve had them all my life and i love them. i also have a corgi who’s like 7 and she’s super sweet and bouncy and i love her
12. how tall are you?
5’4.5” ~ 162.5 cm [i tell people i’m 5’5” to fuck w them >:) ]
13. fave subject in school?
i liked art, choir, and english a lot. i actually loved writing papers about things i read and my teachers kept them as “examples” to show future students if they were confused so i take that as a personal W
14. dream job?
if you had asked me this like. 8 months ago i would have told you i would like to be a storyboard illustrator for movies or tv shows and stuff like that. however i am so burned out of everything except mindless sketch studies that i don’t know if i want to do that anymore. i’ve been oddly into engineering lately (literally only because of F1) and even though i didn’t enjoy math as much i’m willing to put it aside and work at it for the sake of a possibility of working for F1 one day.
15. eye color?
green with like. brown highlights. it’s not hazel but it’s also not fully green. i’ve been told i also have blue around the outside which idk about that. it’s like the dark blue ring with green and very little brown highlights.
uhhh i’m a little late to the party for this so idk who’s been tagged and done this already but i’m gonna tag @toffee-and-tandoori , @racingliners , and @tinyweltmeister as well as anyone else who wants to do this :)

The Royal School Fair episode analysis:
It’s really interesting that they’re having essentially a college fair at this age, sure it’s technically choosing which highschool but it’s the equivalent of choosing a Major. These little children are making major life decisions that sets them up for their career path. Like I don’t know what I’m going to Major in now and I sure didn’t in Middleschool. Also this was the first time I realized that Sofia had skipped a grade. I thought they had like mixed age classrooms but after this episode considering she’s part of the graduating class I realized she’s actually a gifted kid. Which honestly makes sense she’s super smart and somehow good at nearly everything.
At first I thought the system was really messed up because it seemed to be a permanent decision but at the end they revealed it wasn’t. Though it’s still a lot of pressure for a middle schooler, like having to pick a school knowing it means you won’t see your friends as often and sets up your future. Eep!
I also really appreciated Desmond’s side plot. He just wants to help people and had little confidence in himself therefore feeling like his book smarts will never make him a hero and he’ll never be good at knight stuff. Then he learns that he is good enough and can be a hero just the way he is. I also hope he and James become an alchemist/knight dou when they grow up because they work so well together. I mean Desmond is all book smarts and has trouble with hands on trial and error things and James struggles with the sitting still book knowledge but thrives when it’s hands on, physical knowledge. They balance out each other’s flaws and they’d both get to live out their dreams. (Side note the enchanted armor was really going in for the kill. Sofia could have died and they just continued on with their day… not like nothing happened since Desmond’s heroics were realized but no one fussed over the children who could have gotten hurt or worse.)
Also this episode once again plays into my Autism headcanon for Amber. She just wants to follow the family tradition, and she loves the rules. Also she really wanted Sofia to go to school with her because she didn’t want things to change she didn’t want to have to go to school without her. She’s essentially using Sofia as a transition item, the change will be easier for her to process if some things stay the same. I appreciate that in the end Sofia was willing to go along with Amber since she expressed her concerns. I just love their sibling dynamic they’ve grown so much.
Also now I’m wondering how this stuff works for non-Royal students. Like do they go to the same fair later because it seems like these schools are open to non-royals. I’m guessing they don’t get the magic wall ceremony since their teachers a humans. Are these schools expensive? Do they have scholarships like colleges? The amount of non-Royals they accept seems to be based on how many royals go there since the royals seem to have first pick. (That is of course if they have some kind of limit.). I mean I’d guess some schools would be less likely to have non-royals than others, like Ambers school is very esteemed it’s only for royals and royal advisors, so well yes there could probably be non-royals they would more then likely be privately tutored and higher up on the social ladder rather then people from Sofia’s community. Most of the schools I’d guess are more common among upper class (with or without a tuition) because lower class would be less likely to have studied alchemy, the arts, fashion design and the like. Then again with the alchemy academy it’s also a science academy and they seem to study science even more so than the Royals at Sofia’s old school. I’d guess it’s not uncommon for non-Royal students to be in the sports or knight school because farm kids are strong.
Another thing I found it odd that there was no wizarding school mentioned. Like the royals learn a bunch of magic in school but then aren’t given that as a higher education option? Do they not want royals to be sorcerers? Or is sorcery a closed community with only legacy students? Are only children and apprentices accepted into those schools? I want answers because I think Sofia would have chosen to go to that school if given the option. She loves magic and all things related to it.
So that’s my thoughts in one long post! Ta-da! ✨
