INTRO POST
We are The Hadal Zone, a mixed origins gateway system here to talk about plural stuff or whatever else!
Collectively we go by he&/they&, but please remember to use individual headmates' pronouns when possible!
But first! Anti-endos/anti-nontraumagenics, this isn't your space. Fakeclaimers, this isn't your space. Kindly fuck off.
Our simplyplural: The-Hadal-Zone (feel free to add us!)
If you suspect you know us IRL, do not talk to us about it, do not interact with this blog, try to forget you even saw this. Thank you for understanding.
Hosts, misc extra info, & tagging system below cut.

Being SYSMED harms TRAUMAGENIC SYSTEMS!
I am an OSDD-1b system who used to be a sysmed/traumascum, and it harmed me. I encourage other systems to avoid being sysmed.
Sysmeds believe all systems suffer from dissociation, should fuse into one, and that the host is most valuable. They often see being a singlet as superior to having alters, and may believe being professionally diagnosed is necessary. They think systemhood can only start from trauma at a very young age- yet if you're 15 or younger and know that you're a system your experience should be doubted. Being a sysmed can lead to hurting your system by abusing alters and seeing them as burdens or less valuable then you as a host.
When I became pro-endo(again), I learned to respect and appreciate my system, while as sysmed- I abused my alters, especially persecutors, because "the host is most important" mentality sysmeds share.
Embrace your DID/OSDD system, it's a part of you that won't go away. Being pro-endo can help shift your mindset from seeing your system as a burden to a positive aspect of who you are as well as gain their support and love. Accept support from those who understand, even if their experience doesn't perfectly match yours.
Endogenic systems deserve respect even if you think they are "confused" or "un-knowingly traumagenic" so let go of any hostility towards them. Trust that their experiences are genuine because frankly- its their right to know what experiences they had, not yours.

To be anti-endogenic systems is to be, at the most fundamental level, anti-plurality.
And as a traumagenic system who adores my headmates, whose plurality got them through the most dangerous situations time and time again, I just can’t stand with that.
My headmates will always be my closest family. Anyone is allowed to have that.

New term just dropped
Ghostmate

A plural term for a headmate that only fronts when little to no people are around, typically at night.

If you think singlets can have spiritual experiences and past lives, but individual members of a plural system cannot and there must be a "psychological explanation" instead, you're literally just being ableist. You're either implying individual system members don't have enough personhood for that, or that systems are incapable of having the agency for spiritual beliefs that significantly affect our lives.
Neither is a good look.

Friendly reminder that being traumagenic or a DID/OSDD system doesn’t give you the right to be shitty to other types of systems. We may not experience plurality in the same way as you do, but we exist anyway, and we’re going to continue existing and supporting each other in spite of all the fakeclaimers and endophobes.
There’s no single “correct” way to exist and no system is more or less valid than any other.

why does it feel so weird to post in traumagenic system tags when you're pro endo. like I AM a traumagenic system, I have OSDD, a very classic presentation with a lot of trauma, all that's different is that I don't hate endos. why do I feel so scared of interacting with the rest of my kind. rather, why has my kind scared me away from associating with them because I don't hate an innocent group of people
reminder to myself and everyone else that being a pro endo osddid system doesn't forbid you from posting about being an osddid system. anybody who disagrees is just an asshole. solidarity is key in healing and feeling good about your disorder 👍
I CANT BELIEVE I HAVE TO SAY THIS, BUT IF YOU HATE ENDOS THIS POST IS ABOUT HOW I CANT STAND YOU. PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE. WHY ARE YOU ASSHOLES INCAPABLE OF MINDING YOUR OWN FUCKING BUSINESS

Why do so many sysmeds seem to base their whole identities around the concept of pain and suffering?
One of the most common arguments we see amongst anti-endos is the idea that endos and their supporters promote this fantasy where DID/OSDD is all fun and happy. Anti-endos claim that we downplay the difficult parts of having a dissociative disorder (fragmented memory, PTSD, an altered or incomplete sense of self, etc).
But here's the thing..... endos aren't actually saying that.
Having DID/OSDD is hard, especially when you don't have access to the proper support. Nobody is denying that fact. But what's so bad about the people who have these disorders choosing to seek out the positives instead of being miserable all the time?
Anti-endos will even attack other traumagenic systems for not having the same mindset. To us, it almost feels like the people who make this argument are jealous that other plurals with DID/OSDD don't let their suffering dictate their sense of self. In fact, it even feels like these people don't even want to heal or seek help. They've become so engrossed in their misery that they can't possibly fathom the idea that others aren't also suffering 24/7. When you build your whole identity around your pain and misery, seeing anyone who doesn't think and act that way is going to make you angry and upset.
It's so incredibly easy to fall down a rabbit hole of thoughts when all you can think about is how miserable you are. That's why so many people struggle to get out of depression; it eventually becomes second nature for your brain to adopt a negative thinking pattern, and changing your thought process is unbelievably hard. This is especially true with people who have suffered abuse and/or trauma, because of the way these things impact them mentally and emotionally.
And maybe this is why so many anti-endos make the argument that our community downplays the negative aspects of having DID/OSDD. They see the plurals who have these disorders and seemingly aren't constantly suffering, and they get defensive because how DARE these systems who have the same disorder as them not be in misery all day, every day? How DARE these systems make the decision to accept the good and bad things that come with their disorders. How DARE people choose to not let their suffering define who they are.

Literally How can you presume to know other people's brains better than the ones that live in it. "Endos all just have repressed trauma" Oh I didn't realize you were a memory holder for someone else's system /sarcasm. are you a fuckin mind reader? Were you there for the event? Or are you just projecting because the idea of plurality that's different from yours makes you uncomfortable? Let's just ignore what endogenics actually say about their experiences in favor of some shit you just made up then /sarcasm.

very tired of exclusionists. I shouldn't have to check every post about my disorder by someone I don't follow to make sure they're safe and don't hate our existence before reblogging it but alas. whatre ya gonna do.

Twitter Sysmed tells me to hang myself after I state the fact that anti-endos are a hate group...
Tumblr media
Really wanting to prove the point there, huh?
So, yeah! Here's your reminder that anti-endos are a hate group, and that there are not two equal side in syscourse. There is one side that is supported by actual science and research, a marginalized community that is just trying to exist in peace. And then there's a hate group that wants us gone, which hides behind "science" as a buzzword despite not one paper anywhere supporting their beliefs.
Sometimes in life, things are black and white. There is no validity to anti-endo positions or beliefs. There is no justification for the hate they spread. And there should be no tolerance for them anywhere.
