Liberation from over 75 years of Palestinians being forcibly displaced, their rights being denied, their homes demolished and their land confiscated. Liberation from medinat Israel, who claims to have left Palestine but still maintains an (over 16 year long) unlawful blockade on Gaza (source: United Nations Human Rights Experts). That is not an "exit", it is a forced quarantine of Palestinians from access to the rest of the world or any aid support.
What else but genocide do you call Israeli politicians and soldiers talking about turning Gaza to dust?
What else but genocide do you call Israel deliberately depriving Palestinians of all basic human rights, those of shelter, water, food, and medical care?

None of this is caused by Hamas, it is caused directly and actively by the Israeli military and government, and supported by people like you not checking your sources.
Nobody, least of all Jews, want to falsely claim a genocide is happening because genocidal acts are horrifying. But, as Jews, who have been subjected to equally horrifying war crimes in the past, it is our responsibility to bring awareness to the deliberate and ongoing ethnic cleansing and forced starvation of Palestinian people.
Every day i see Jewish folk spit vitriol on the Palestinians suffering under Israeli oppression, and it saddens me so much.
Yes, I’m seeing more and more Jews realize their mistakes and educate themselves to become fervently antizionist, and that’s wonderful.
But to those sad, scared people fighting against liberation: you are not on the “good” side of history. You are actively harming both your fellow Jews and directly contributing to genocide. You should be ashamed, going against all the core values of Judaism.

i learned about Tim Wong who successfully and singlehandedly repopulated the rare California Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly in San Francisco. In the past few years, he’s cultivated more than 200 pipevine plants (their only food source) and gives thousands of caterpillars to his local Botanical Garden (x)

i think all systems should stop trying to figure out if stuff is “normal” in systemhood before accepting that it’s happening to them.
there have been many times where i assumed i was crazy because id never heard another system talk about something i was experiencing and tried to ignore it. eventually id find someone else who experienced the same thing, and id be so happy, but realize i wasted so much time doubting myself and beating myself up.
yes, look for others who share your experiences, but also YOUR experiences are enough. you aren’t faking for simply having an experience. you should be allowed to feel what you feel and do what you do.

Along with three other members of their family — Dr. Areej's mother and Dr. Ahmad's mother and father — they are seeking to evacuate to Egypt.

If they claim they can cure your condition that you have been told is incurable, run. If they claim they cured themselves, run. If they claim they have cured everything from cancer to lupus holistically, run. If they claim you have to buy only supplements from them, run. If they claim they that only thing that will cure is x but x costs tons of money, run. If they refuse to run tests or address your diagnosed conditions before insisting you do an expensive treatment not covered by insurence, run. If they offer a one size fits all treatment/cure, run.
I have been scammed by "holistic" and "naturalistic" people before as a chronically ill person. In fact it was an actual doctor who went to medical school who scammed me for years. So watch out. If it seems too good to be true it probably is.

Hey, happy Earth Day! Who wants to talk about climate change?
Yeah, okay, fair, I kinda figured the answer to that would be "ugh do we have to?" What if I told you I have good news though? Good news with caveats, but still good news.
What if I told you that since the Paris Agreement in 2015, we've avoided a whole degree celsius of global warming by 2100, or maybe more?
Current projections are 2.7C, which is way better than the 3-5C (with a median of 3.7C) we were expecting in 2015. It's not where we want to be - 1.5C - but it is big, noticeable progress!
And it's not like we either hit 1.5C and avoid all the big scary consequences or fail to hit 1.5C and get all of them - every tenth of a degree of warming we avoid is going to prevent more severe problems like extreme weather, sea level rise, etc.
This means that climate change mitigation efforts are having a noticeable impact! This means a dramatically better, safer future - and if we keep pushing, we could lower the amount of global warming we end up with even further. This is huge progress, and we need to celebrate it, even though the fight isn't over.
It's working. Keep going.

We have four cats. Each one of them has a specific texture they adore, and get very upset if someone takes from them.
Monroe (our oldest) likes plastic bags. She was personally victimized by the US plastic bag ban and now hoards old plastic under our bed.
Elijah loves mail. In every other way, he’s a very dog-like cat: goes on walks on a leash, loves foraging for garbage, thinks only of snuggling and eating. But he loves the mail man more than love and cries whenever we don’t get spam mail he gets to roll in.
Caper, our newest, it took us a while to figure out what she likes. She’s been a stray for a long time and is very guarded. But she loves playing with the cat toys the other cats abandoned— it took us a while to figure this out because she refuses to even go near toys when any other cat (or human) is around. But we’ll find her favorite fish all over the house when the other cats are busy cuddling.
And sweet Feivel, our youngest… He is actually a boat carver, you see. He’s spent the past 3 months meticulously chewing down a single cardboard box into a strange boat shape that he sleeps in. One time Monroe sat in his boat and I’ve never heard that silly guy cry so loudly in my life.
