Simeon.. much like humans, has the overwhelming urge to pet any creature smaller than himself
Don't be surprised if you're sitting down and suddenly this guy just walks up to you and starts petting you with the same genuine affection you'd pet a dog or cat with..
It's the natural order.
(He use to do this with Luke but the little bastard bit him, amen)

I would love for there to be more Wonder Woman and Danny Phantom crossovers. So in the I am putting an idea out there.
-You have Pandora and Clockwork (Kronos/Cronos) who I see acting as Danny's ghost parents if not mentors. The are educating Danny (who is either the Ghost king or will become the ghost king) in history of the Infinte Realms, the politics of the Infinte Realms, teaching about all the beings (besides ghosts) that deal with the Infinte Realms (gods, demons, angels, spirits, ect.). Basically they are educating him on the ghostly sides of things.
-But they can't really help him with his human side, supernatural politics/diplomacy has a lot more fighting/violence. So they need someone to teach/mentor him on human/mortal diplomacy. Enter in Diana both Pandora and Clockwork know her and she is really the only person in the mortal realm they would trust with Danny
-Diana as a princess was raised to be a ruler and she is the ambassador of Themyscira, valuable experience to help teach Danny. Pandora and Clockwork contact Diana to ask for her help.
-Danny at this point has retired as a hero (the ghost have mostly settle down by now) and is focusing on school and his ghost king duties. I see him going to college and double majoring in Engineering and Political Science (Jazz convinced him)
-Danny probably lives with Diana and goes to school in the city she lives in to make it easier on getting lessons (maybe the DC universe is a different universe then his own).
-Diana knows about his past experience as a hero and no the Justice League has no idea what is going on. Though she does inform Clark and Bruce that she has taken on a student/ward but that he is not a hero. Bruce is suspicious but can't find anything on Danny (making him even more paranoid).
-Diana is a great Aunt figure for Danny
Both diana and Danny say the most concerning things
The JL are wondering how they thought diana was normal before danny because the shit she says is so out of pocket
The second someone asks about Danny's parents she goes feral and starts insulting the person who asked
Sometimes she's seen tinkering with something and whenever someone works up the nerve to ask he what it is she says "Fenton anti-creep stick, I'm planning to use it. On the more disrespectful of me routes"
And you can't tell me Diana wouldn't get Danny to help mess with the JL '" to test your infiltration skills" " I must be sure the security system is up to standards" " no I'm not that petty"
And Danny loves it
He causes chaos with his aunt everywhere and the paranoid furry can't do anything because aunty Diana is going to protect him

Double Standards
I'm having thoughts.
Tumblr media
You know how women are generally (almost always) held to higher standards than men? This also goes for people who are seen as good vs bad. If an overall good person (or a woman) in public eye does something even a little bit out of line, they get crucified. But if someone who is perceived as something of a bad (boy, it's basically always a man*) does something good, the praises are never ending. I'm afraid this has seeped into the way Aziraphale and Crowley are sometimes perceived. The good one (a literal angel no less) is absolutely forbidden to make mistakes or say anything out of line (I forgive you definitely counts) while the bad one (yes, I mean the demon with the golden heart) is not really blamed for anything, cos he's supposed to be bad, right? Anything good he does or feels is a bonus point.
Tumblr media
That's. That's not how this should work. They are both beautifully flawed, evolving beings, in love with one another trying to keep each other safe in a hostile environment with uncertain rules.
Aziraphale is NOT BEING PURSUED by Crowley and is not being held back by the love of his toxic family (and/or his inner objections to being in love with a demon) he doesn't have the courage to abandon. Aziraphale is not a damsel in distress Crowley is rescuing. I thought Aziraphale admitting that he enjoys being rescued because it makes Crowley happy was proof enough but apparently not.
Tumblr media
Just because they enjoy giving each other the things they didn't get to feel from their homes/jobs - Crowley being needed and Aziraphale being appreciated, doesn't mean they aren't fully functional separate beings.
Tumblr media
Are they better together? YES But there is no one right or wrong here. They've been dealt a really bad hand at cards and they are trying their best. Aziraphale doesn't need to do anything to deserve Crowley (this is an extremely flawed relationship trope). He is already loved, he is already enough. And the SAME is true the other way round. Aziraphale is not holding out to some future Crowley who will be a better version to who he is now (or being an angel again!!) Aziraphale loves him just as he is.
Tumblr media
Their problem is not with each other. It never has been. Their problems all stem from the fact that their existence, although in principle they are immortal, is not really all that secure. Especially not if they want to spend time together. And they do. So their problems pile up. This is their tragedy. And also why their love story is so compelling. Not because one is better or will change or abandon everything to be with their lover. But because they are imperfect in very bad, often scary situations and they are drawn to each other, and care for each other above everything else. That's why Crowley wanted to stay and that's why Aziraphale had to leave.
Tumblr media
*I'm sorry to have used terminology for cis people in my examples, but these are what we generally perceive in public life and media - at least we do for now. I do adore my NB and trans friends - hopefully their representation will brighten the future in these things as discussed above soon.

Something I greatly appreciate in Hazbin Hotel is how western facist and imperialist coded the angels are.
Tumblr media
You have Heaven, a place only for “good” people and are conventionally seen as “the good guys”. These “good guys” regularly launch attacks with significantly stronger weaponry on Hell, a place conventionally seen as “the bad guys”. But there are countless parts in the show where we see the angels and demons not being all that different. There are probably several posts of how Hazbin characters in Hell (and some Helluva Boss characters) mirror those in Heaven, so I won’t get too much into it here. But when you boil down to it, the biggest differences between Heaven and Hell are each place’s living conditions, and how they are typically viewed.
Tumblr media
Next you have the Exorcists, a reflection of the military. Adam, patriarchal misogynist who leads the Extermination, and feels comfortable enough to say that he finds the carnage fun. Then we have Lute’s zealous faith in Heaven always being right and her unfettered disgust towards anyone in Hell. We find all of these traits in imperialism and facism: the dehumanization of an entire country’s worth of people to the point where killing them off is seen not just necessary, but entertaining, and the delusional righteousness in the impeccability of the facist state.
Tumblr media
Not to mention the hypocrisy of killing a thousand of “the enemy” is something to laugh about and celebrate, but the minute one of your own gets killed? By the so-called “enemy”? Even if it’s in self-defense? Suddenly it’s a serious problem that has to be met with swift action.
Tumblr media
And when you have the audacity to not want to commit these acts of violence anymore, like Vaggie? You’re discarded as a traitor to your country and your people, and lumped in with “the enemy”.
Tumblr media
And Sera, like politicians feigning compassion, claim “I made this decision with a heavy heart”, and “there was no other option”. But that doesn’t change that she’s the one who gave the green light to all of this. As a friend of mine and fellow hazbin fan said, the Extermination is state-sanctioned abuse.
Tumblr media
And finally, we have Emily, who never knew any world other than Heaven, and who’s only knowledge of Hell came from sources from Heaven. She was the only one who genuinely wanted to hear Charlie and Vaggie out, who actually questioned why Angel Dust couldn’t be redeemed if he fit all of Adam’s criteria for getting into Heaven. And when she learned of the Extermination’s existence, she joined Charlie in calling out the Angels on their bullshit. Emily’s actions in episode 6 reiterate that this is not a “complex” issue, but one of basic compassion and decency.
Tumblr media
Also I wanna note the look on Adam and Lute’s faces when Charlie and Emily sing “if angels can do whatever and remain in the sky.” They’re fucking angry. Because is there anything more infuriating to a facist than getting called out on their hypocrisy and double standard?

Yes! Finally someone said it!
At first when I saw the interaction I went- hey he's being such a jerk- Ohhhhh wait! This is literally him wanting us to stay soo fricking bad, but Mr.Pridey McPridepants just can't admit it. OFC HE WOULD TRY TO IMPRESS US (even if this emotionally constipated man can't differ b/w chivalry and being an asshole). He's trying to so bloody hard to sweet talk his way into us staying. Even if he's being forceful and manipulative; it's because he's so shit scared of giving us the choice and then us choosing to go cuz he KNOWS wherever we going must mean a lot to us especially when we are going such great lengths to return.
Not to say, that this behavior is ok or good but at the end of the day isn't obey me about flawed and morally grey characters? Even the ANGELS aren't perfect and morally sound, and if I dare say, sometimes they make decisions even crueler than the demons. We are literally talking about the AVATAR OF PRIDE HERE! XD
Literally as soon as you look past the image that he literally puts up cuz he wants ppl to see him that way, you will realize that he really is just a soggy, pathetic man who can't put aside his pride to ask us to stay like a normal person XD Also to point out a lot of ppl LIKE Levi and Mammon BECAUSE OF their pathos lol.
I have always seen that there is SUCH a double standard when it comes to him. Ppl say that he's being too fake and only cares about his image and not his brothers, but when he does show his softer side, they say he's not being genuine or he's pushy or something of the sort. What most ppl fail to see is that he loves his brothers and mc, probably even more than his own life but he's just so bad at showing it because he is held back by his own trauma and sin. While that does not make him innocent... that does make him like his brothers. He acts this way because thats literally the only way he knows how to keep things in his control and keep his family safe and ppl fall for it ... LIKE IT'S NOT THE REAL HIM! TvT
I have this theory (might be a hot take idk?) that most of the ppl playing obey me are pretty young, so they don't like Lucifer because they are anti-authority (I also am, its not a bad thing) but this man is anything but Authority and Power. I might be a lucifer apologist lol but all I am saying is for ppl to look at him with the same open-minded lens they see the other brothers with and you might find him a lot more bearable and dare I say... likeable?
Phew, sorry for rambling in your inbox but I have some strong feelings for that stupid old man XD Also, this feels a lot similar to how expectations are so high and rigid for the eldest sibling whereas these same expectations become a lot less severe for the other siblings...
Firstly, thank you for calling him a soggy pathetic man, that gave me a good chuckle.
And YES! All of this, 100% yes. He doesn't want to admit that there are other things out there more important than him. Not just because of his Pride, but because he finally let someone else behind the walls he put up around his heart (we saw this around Nightbringer lessons 11 and 12, when he was ready to be THE enemy to protect his family, only to end up admitting to himself that he cared about MC just as much) and now, after all that, MC is determined to leave. I'm sure somewhere in his mind, he feels like he's failed.
He's puffing up his feathers as big as he can and screaming "look at me, look at me, look at me"! The big peacock man is flailing.
He's afraid. He's hurt. And so now these weird (and problematic) safety mechanisms are being put in place to protect himself.
Things in his mind are SO 'not fine' that now he's parading around trying to convince everyone (including himself) that everything is perfectly fine! Everything is perfect, everything is great, the outfits he chose are pristine, the food he settled on is text-book. It feels like he's following some sort of guide, like even the things he's saying have been pulled from a novel somewhere. It's not quite the way he normally speaks. If everything can play out the way he sees it in his head, there won't be room for error. Right?
And this isn't new behavior either. It was the ENTIRE plot of season 1 in Shall We Date. Lucifer locked Belphie away because he was worried of what might happen to his sibling. But in a way, 'protecting' his brother was mostly protecting himself.
He's worked so hard to create what he has, that he can't stand the idea of losing it all.
There's also a whole spiel I could go into about how everyone in the family fills a certain "group" role that keeps everything balanced and running smoothly (as smooth as it can get for them). For example, Mammon is the energy of the group, the drive. Beel is the motivator, the encourager. Asmo is the dreamer, etc. Lucifer has to be the guider, the manager, the authoritarian.
While, yes on multiple occasions, he's dismissed his brother's wild antics outright, there have been so many other instances where his brothers say "I want ___" and he gives them the advice or the structure they need to accomplish it successfully. OR even ending up providing it himself should his brother's wishes be genuine (Mammon's car for example).
When he's more on his own, he can drop that uptightness completely. As we see again in Shall We Date, when they're taken to the video game world, and when he doesn't have the worries and responsibilities placed onto his shoulders, he's capable of skipping classes to take a nap on the roof. And fully enjoys it, with a smile on his face and everything.
At the very root of him, while he needs to fulfill the controlling dynamic, he does not want to. At least not completely.
I've always known this, but Nightbringer actually gave me a big confirmation boost! In Wanders Whereabouts, Barbatos gives Lucifer a video call in which he tells Lucifer about all the recent trouble the brothers have gotten themselves into. Barbatos then proceeds to let Lucifer know that as their guardian, the eldest needs to essentially work harder to keep them in line. Then Barbatos sends the damages bill to him.
If he isn't constantly keeping his siblings in line, he takes most of the blame!
And thirdly, I think you are correct, yes. I think especially with the addition of Nightbringer and the anime, a good portion of the fandom is a younger demographic, which doesn't surprise me (listen I played Mystic Messenger when I was a preteen/teen, I was there when the dark texts were written). And a lot of what appeals to that demographic is the coming-of-age, rebelling against conformity sort of story.
And, I want to repeat, my initial post that you are referring to wasn't meant to come off as a "oh everyone is so stupid thinking Lucifer is this way, you should all love him" but more of trying to explain the fullness of his character since it can be harder to spot.
Like, people in the fandom almost always completely understand Mammon. He's not just, "tough and grumbly man who steals things". He's someone who struggles with admitting his own feelings, someone who lets his ambitions blind him from the troubles they can cause, and someone who at the end of the day, loves his family more than anything. And most everyone in the fandom fully understands this.
And yet, with Lucifer, a lot of people tend to take him exactly at face value.
There's a lot of things I could explain about him needing to play a "Parental Guardian Figure" while also just being their brother at the same time, and in a lot of media where the older sibling is forced to become a guardian, they get a lot of flack for not doing it correctly.
Anyways, I could ramble on and on and on about Lucifer as a character, but I think this a good chunk of condensed thoughts. And thank you for sending this over, I always love a good Inbox ramble! Especially about my favorite grumpy, sleep-deprived man <3

54: Crowley
Chapter 54 of Too Wise to Woo Peaceably
******
Well.
Thousands and thousands and thousands of years of waiting for the metaphorical scales to fall from Aziraphale’s eyes, and he’d gone and forced the issue - again - with his inability to just leave things well enough alone.
He mentally slow-clapped himself on the back.
The silence was loud, and Aziraphale said nothing, and Crowley let himself turn inward...
During his Fall, he had lost parts of himself. Some had never returned; memories snapped out of existence with the sort of ruthlessness that could only come from a deity in a fit of pique.
Others, he had clung to fiercely.
After it was over, and he'd come back to himself, he had felt around in the darkness for the shattered pieces. He'd fumbled to fit them back together, gathering them close and hiding them deep inside himself. He had curled himself around these surviving pieces of himself like a dragon guarding its horde.
One of these was his love of potential.
It was the excitement of possibility that enchanted him. He couldn’t remember much from before, but he had a vague recollection of creating a nebula, and the only point of clarity in that memory was delight at creating a star nursery with the potential to create millions of stars.
After his Fall, he had learned it was mostly possible to stay out of trouble by skirting along the boundary between right and wrong, smudging the line a bit with every footstep. He’d stayed away from anything overly loathsome, preferring to sow seeds of doubt or mild annoyance.
He created the potential, in other words, for anger, displeasure, outrage and violence… But never actually dabbled in it himself.
He just didn’t have the stomach for it.
That was partly why temptations had always suited him.
Temptations were really just Crowley's love of potential, twisted to fit his new, unwanted role as a reluctant demon.
The way Crowley looked at it, that’s all temptations were; they offered the potential of… something. Something yearned for. Something taboo. He could lay it out, whisper it in someone’s ear, show them their heart’s desire, offer it up… create the potential for sin, the potential for evil.
He never forced it. If he was being honest, Crowley much preferred for them to do the right thing, turn the other cheek and all that. He felt a deep-seated sense of satisfaction each time he was rejected out of hand. To err was human, however, and he had plenty of successful temptations under his belt to attest to that. It was his way of going along with Hell as far as he could.
His way of staying on the right side of the wrong path.
When Aziraphale had accused him of tempting him with his kiss, Crowley had wanted to shake him. They'd spent their lives circling each other, enjoying each others’ company and everything that humanity and life on Earth had to offer. They'd often discussed ethics and philosophy deep into the night, over multiple bottles of wine. They'd dealt with difficult situations together, even when disagreeing on the best way forward.
And yet sometimes, like with his ridiculous accusation, Aziraphale would say or do something that’d make him want to change form, make him want to elongate himself into a venomous serpent and coil up in a corner, protected by scale and fang. Sometimes he’d acted in ways that made Crowley feel like Aziraphale didn’t actually see or hear him at all, that all he was to the angel was a vaguely interesting avatar. The demon. The antithesis. The foil. The opposition. Always the bad one, always fallen, evil, wrong.
The living embodiment of Aziraphale’s ‘There but for the grace of God go I,’ when Crowley was quite sure the grace of God had very little to do with it.
The double standards of God, more like.
It was supremely irritating.
For example, when Aziraphale hadn’t told Crowley about the Antichrist. He’d lied when Crowley had asked him. Lied directly to his face, even knowing that Crowley was in trouble for misplacing the boy - which could have happened to anybody, really - and Aziraphale had told Heaven instead. As if Crowley were any other demon. As if they hadn't spent thousands of years in each others' orbit. He had denied their friendship over, and over, and over, like Peter at Gethsemane. He had trusted Heaven to do the right thing - like a bloody idiot - and then he’d accidentally discoporated himself, leaving Crowley to believe he’d lost him. He’d thought that would be the worst moment of his long, long life. He’d thought, kneeling on the floor of the bookshop, that it was the loneliest moment he would ever face.
He should have known better, really.
Still, he was no angel. Obviously.
Crowley had - many times - thought of what it would be like to tempt Aziraphale. He’d pictured oysters and wine, low lighting and lower music. He’d pictured Aziraphale’s face of perfect contentment, the way he looked after a particularly satisfying meal. He’d pictured him lounging back the way he did when he was drunk, far too proper to ever really sprawl out.
And that was as far as he’d ever been able to take it.
Even after 1941, which had seemed like a dream before unraveling into a nightmare, he had never managed to get further than just… being with Aziraphale, sitting with him, appreciating the way satisfaction radiated from him when he was enjoying himself.
A true temptation would have worked like this: He would flirt. He would touch them lightly, but innocently. He would lean back against the nearest available vertical surface. His lips would be parted in a wicked smile, his eyelids would be lowered, and the temptation to kiss would hang in the air between them, an unspoken invitation.
He wouldn’t lift a finger to make it happen. He wouldn’t lean in for it. He wouldn’t initiate.
He felt very strongly about that part.
He had no interest in pushing boundaries. As far as Crowley was concerned, a temptation wasn’t a test; it was a decision. It was their decision. They had to want it.  Crowley created the potential for them to succumb to temptation; he created the potential for them to reach for what they desired. That was the entirety of it.
They could always resist. They could turn away and walk out.
Or they could surrender to their desire to sin. They could do the “bad” thing. They could have what for one brief moment they thought they most wanted.
All they had to do was lean in and take it.
When thinking about Aziraphale, Crowley had never known how to progress the fantasy. He’d never known how to tempt Aziraphale into wanting him - into loving him - without stepping all over the lines the angel had drawn in the sand. Even without Aziraphale’s constant reminders of his demonic status - as if he’d ever needed those - he knew that even lightly touching Aziraphale would earn him a reproachful frown at the very least.
The very idea of casually reaching out to touch the angel’s hand or face had always seemed beyond the realm of possibility. Something that with others may have meant nothing at all would, with Aziraphale, have been imbued with such significance their friendship might not have survived it.
That is, of course, assuming Aziraphale would have understood the significance.
Which he may well not have, because Crowley suspected that Aziraphale had spent thousands of years wearing religious blinkers that blocked out everything other than the narrow way forward: the Righteous Path. For the longest time he had been blind to nuance, had been completely unable to look at things from different angles, and honestly he was so knotted up in denial and self-restraint Crowley thought it was a wonder he could see anything at all.
He had spent thousands of years trying to gently peel the wool from Aziraphale’s eyes at such an excruciatingly slow pace that sometimes he had wondered if he was making any progress.
And then of course he had kissed Aziraphale after that awful conversation that had involved less talking to each other and more talking past each other, and how could Aziraphale have thought that could ever be a temptation? He’d seen Aziraphale looking confused and lost and talking to him about being together as angels and all he’d been able to think was your together and my together are two different togethers, and he’d needed him to understand.
He’d needed to seal Aziraphale’s decision with his lips and the kiss was his desperate, burning brand, marking his stance on a matter already closed.
How could the angel ever have thought it a temptation when there was no choice in it? Not for either of them?
And then after all that, after watching the angel leave because he refused to join him in Heaven… Of course he had ended up there anyway.
And hadn’t that been fun?
He distractedly ran a fingertip over the cut on his face where it sliced through his eyebrow. Somehow, rescuing Crowley and defeating The Metatron had provoked an odd sense of affectionate urgency in Aziraphale. In the past day, the angel had:
told Crowley he wanted him
kissed him on the mouth
held his hand
called him beautiful
kissed his neck
wrapped himself around his shoulders
When he thought of it all together like that, listed neatly in his mind, he didn't know what to think. Compared to the rest of their existence, the speed at which this was all happening had scrambled Crowley’s brain. That was really the only explanation he could come up with for why he had just wrenched his own heart out and practically shoved it into Aziraphale’s hands.
Truly it had been the weirdest couple of days.
He wished he was wearing his sunglasses. He felt so exposed he might as well have been flayed alive. And he’d actually experienced that unpleasantness once, so he supposed he was qualified to make the comparison. He stared at the ground, acutely aware of Aziraphale next to him.
Much to Crowley’s relief he wasn’t crying any more, but his breathing was still hitching and he hadn’t said a word.
Which naturally made Crowley feel like he should say something, because they’d been sitting in silence for at least two minutes.
At least two minutes.
Possibly as much as thousands of years.

Could you tell us some more about your Lizardstripe? It always annoyed me that the only cat in canon to point out double standards regarding kits was also the horrible mother that they blamed for all of Brokenstar’s issues. I’m glad she’s portrayed more sympathetically here though, with her friend group and role as Bluestar’s lawyer.
Anything out of BB!ShadowClan takes like, a Star Wars opening scroll of text to explain to an outsider and that's how I LIKE IT
It's my personal mission to inject nuance chemical into every woman demonized by Canon WC. Brokenstar isn't bad because he had a sad childhood or something, it was literally generations of culture turning toxic and demanding a cosmic reckoning from which he was born, moulded by, and ultimately embodied of his own free will.
Evil Women Who Weren't Good Mothers aren't responsible for his actions
Anyway, Lizardstripe.
She is gonna get her own summary at some point (I kinda want to do a ShadowClan Month at some point for the biggest ShC characters, like Nightstar, Russetfur, Stumptail, etc), but here's shards for now;
She's related to old Finchflight in some way. The timeline is getting reduxed and Finch is VERY dead by the time of TPB.
So she's either a child of his, or a niece. Finch is Yellowfang’s age (mid teens in TPB), Lizard is Bluestar's (10-ish)
She was a young mom, less than 2, she met the Forget-me-nots after she was already pregnant.
She wasn't actually raising Brokenstar, just suckling him. Ragged was doing that.
Lizard was still not a great mom. She didn't enjoy it at all, and was often getting bored and frustrated
She would often bring the kittens out into the woods on training exercises, activities they were TOO young for.
Runningkit, Deerkit, and Tanglekit were always covered in dings, bumps, ticks, and things that kept putting them in Yellowfang’s den as a result. Lizard was talked to more than once for this
When Brokenkit joined in on this, mysteriously, he was NEVER covered in dings. Like he was developing faster and was more agile than the others. Deerkit was jealous, Tanglekit thought it was AWESOME
Runningkit was developing a bit of a bully streak, realizing that he could exploit this by getting his sibs mad at him, and then hiding behind Broken
Lizard was always being forced to step in and take control of the situations by trying to break up the Dastardly Duo, but then would be OVERRULED by Raggedstar, who wanted his son to hang out with his friend
If Yellowfang didn't notice it herself, she would definitely learn through Lizard that these two should NOT be allowed to multiply their terror with power
But, that's more about them than Lizard.
She's a lot more than just someone's mom. She's a friend of Bluestar's, and the ShadowClan representative in the Forget-me-nots!
WOW her ShadowClan sense of humor is sharp. She can be VICIOUS
She often finds herself having to smooth her jokes over after making a comment that's too mean. What's just part of ShadowClan humor can be cutting to cats in other Clans
Oakheart is actually the one cat who never seems to get hurt, "i like your funny words lizardman"
She likes teasing Bluefur, she's just so easily flustered! And she cares so much about other people,
"Stars, you make me want to yack up a hairball, Bloof."
When Bluefur earns the name Bluemoon (unsure how yet) Lizardstripe b'awws that her nickname is going to be too cool now.
(In Clanmew, it's Luparfaf, Luf, vs Luparshom, Lum)
Lizardstripe and Barley Senior are the two smartest members of the group. Barley is all about logistics, schemas, building and working out plans for meeting up and not getting caught.
Lizardstripe knows what's going on in people's heads. She can be a manipulative mastermind, when she REALLY wants something.
I think she gave Blue and Hoprunner a lot of good advice on how to achieve their ambitions, but, she wasn't really interested in that extra responsibility herself
"What and have to deal with Raggedstar's wishy washy ass and his angelic brat more than i already do? I'd rather kiss a thistle."
What Lizi really liked in her life was the pleasure of it all. Sneaking around, teasing Bluefur, helping out Barley, wrestling Hoprunner. Playing games with her Clanmates, staying late at Gatherings.
She loves her freedom, the ability to decide where to spend her time
She was the first of the Forget-me-nots to die, a year or two after Bluestar took power, in a ferocious battle with WindClan.
Current draft: Talltail's son, Flytail, killed her violently in Heatherstar's Last Stand, the decisive battle that truly "ended" the Mothermouth Moorland War.
After that battle, ShadowClan lost a strategic area and could never regain their foothold. Raggedstar tried to surrender the next year, which was when Brokentail killed him.
Lizardstripe and Mudfoot being lost in the same year was one of the things he and Runningnose cited to each other as "reasons why" WindClan had to pay
If they died for nothing, if SO many had just fought in a war they lost... then it was all for nothing.
Warriors don't accept peace deals.
They fight, they fight to the last cat standing.
I think the news hit all of the Forget-me-nots hard. They hadn't met up in a while, their ambitions driving them apart over time, but... that didn't make it less difficult. No one thought she would be the first.
I think she's my favorite of the little friend group tbh, I'm fond of the Angel Lawyer Friend.

"One of the main six is going to die" - an opinion piece
Again, a show-relating rant of sorts! I do apologize for that, but the static that I call my mind just will not stop producing. Hence I will subject you, dear reader, to my very own take on a very sensitive matter. Hence, blanket TW for discussion of d*ath. In the cusps of the season one finale of HH, I have seen plenty of discussion on the topic of "who is going to die" - following an age-old (/h-jk) statement of the creator that "one of the main six is going to die". There seems to be a common conception that this will be happening now - which we do not know for sure, even if this is going to happen at all is not certain! - and the discourse mainly revolves around Vagatha and Angel Dust, with some speculating about Charlotte or possibly Alastor dying. If we stick with the common idea that the death is going to happen in the finale of the first season (which I am not completely sold on!), all of these could be compelling story-defining events, lending new and deeper motivations for those around them to oppose Heaven - but they would also be terribly boring because they are so overt!
Thus, I want to revisit two ideas with you, dear reader.. who are the "main six" in question and what does "dying" mean for each of them?
For the first one, I do not believe that the addressed "main six" are the main cast of the show or even the main characters living in the hotel! Eight characters are living there currently (Charlotte, Vagatha, Alastor, Nifty, Husker, Angel Dust, Keekee, and Pentious) and while, yes, dear Nifty and Keekee have been more of a supportive staff for now, again, this would be too overt. I will offer you a different reading.. how about the main six characters developing the plot and conflict of season one - the possibility of rehabilitation, redemption, and the opposition of this idea? Would not a death in this rank have a much bigger impact on the narrative..? I present to you, dear reader!
- Charlotte - the leader of the rebellion forming, the spokesperson for the worth and rehabilitation of Sinners. Her death could be a tragic rebirth, thrusting her into her Becoming and the Blooming of her powers. - Adam - the leader of the Exorcists, her direct foil and antagonist. His death could be an escalation of the conflict and/or the gateway to the introduction of an even Greater Evil.. we don't know what Exorcists really do all year long, and what if they keep the Greater Evil at bay? (Hints for Roo, possibly, and/or the things not written in ink). - Vagatha - the fallen Angel, protector of Charlotte, her partner and confidant. Her death could be a rebirth as a true Demon or Angel again (redemption through sacrifice, perhaps?) or a permanent fixture to support Charlotte's drive for justice. Also, why is no one talking about the possibility of HER having killed the Exorcist? - Lute - the second in command to the Exorcists and Adam's companion, as Vagatha's foil. Her death could be just as much a trigger to violence for Adam and the Exorcists, pushing the conflict to a new level. (Also, as a little side note.. we have seen her face. That cannot be a good sign! Also, what are the LED screen helmet designs all about? I cannot stop thinking about it!) - Emily - the Seraph who comes to the same conclusion as Charlotte, that Heaven has to be a lie. Her death could be a reprise of the Fall of Lucifer, her joining the main cast in the fight against the double standards of judgment to make right of what is wrong. - Carmilla - the Sinner (and possibly fallen Angel, seeing all the thematic ties she shares with Vagatha) who seems to know that Heaven cannot be trusted, but speaks for the status quo to remain unchanged - her call to conservation is a foil to Emily's drive to change. Her death would shake up the Overlords, possibly opening up the scene for the Vs to spark the fight on their front.
In my humble opinion, Lute and Carmilla would make the most compelling candidates for the character to die, if this is to happen in the finale of the season. The potential impacts of their deaths could be magnificent while also omitting the sacrifice of characters that bear the possibility of age-old, deep conflicts and developments yet to be seen. What do you think?

Back in February of this year, I preordered the official Good Omens Tarot Deck & Guide Book. I think, originally, it was supposed to come at the end of October. It finally arrived today!
It comes with a full 78-card deck. I'll include pictures and thoughts of the major and minor arcana below the cut, though since I'm just exploring it, my first inclinations are pretty surface level. Overall, I think this is a beautiful deck worthy of anyone who enjoys tarot or just good art.
The Major Arcana
Tumblr media
First and foremost, I am bummed that they changed The Lovers to The Duo. Granted, at the end of season 2, Crowley and Aziraphale aren't lovers, so it does make sense, but 'Duo' just feels a little weak. In the standard Rider Tarot Deck, The Lovers can represent love in general, romantic desire, or seeking wholeness depending on how and where you draw the card.
Interestingly enough, the guide book does refer to Aziraphale and Crowley as The Lovers, so I think it's a cop out not to have it written on the card itself! I have a feeling that The Duo/The Lovers was a late edit. Either it was meant to be The Lovers originally, and it got edited out, or vice versa, it started out as The Duo and then they changed it after Season 2. Here's what the guidebook as to say:
"Upright: You're glowing! You've made a marvelous connection with someone. Things feel--dare you say--magical. Whether this connection is a close friendship or romantic relationship, it's clear that destiny has brought you together. The Lovers card also carries with it an element of choice. Will you choose to stay in this heavenly partnership despite any and all hellish complications? Or will you give in and let outside forces succeed in driving you apart?
Reversed: A once-heavenly connection has crashed back down to earth. You're feeling out of step with someone who means a great deal to you, and you're wondering whether patching things up is worth the effort. Perhaps you have simply grown apart. After all, some people just aren't meant to stay in your life forever. A bit of soul-searching will reveal whether you should double down on your efforts and recommit to this person or move on."
If you draw a reversed card, it typically focuses on the negative aspects of a card. It doesn't always exactly mean the opposite of the upright card. I think we've seen numerous times in canon when Crowley and Aziraphale aren't sure of each other and have to recommit, so I do think both of these descriptions are fitting.
Other thoughts: I love the choice to make Nanny Ashtoreth and Brother Francis represent Temperance, and I find it particularly interesting that Crowley is The Hermit, especially after seeing him in the Job minisode as Bildad. He's just a demon who goes along with Hell as far as he can, and it is lonely. Being a hermit, however, can be a good thing, representing someone who is staunch in their convictions and comfortable going against the flow.
My two favorites in the major arcana are Aziraphale as The Star and Crowley and Aziraphale as The World.
The Minor Arcana
The Good Omens major arcana does not deviate much from the Rider Tarot Deck, but the minor arcana is where it gets interesting! Traditionally, the minor arcana is divided into four suits: wands, cups, swords, and pentacles, each with their own general theme. The Good Omens deck divides it into: angels, vessels, demons, and the humans.
After comparing the two decks, I have hard time linking the suits together. If I had to guess, I would assume they correspond like this:
wands = humans: linked to the fire and is represents creativity and passion.
cups = vessels: emotion and relationships (romantic and platonic), intuition
swords = angels: logic and reason, cutting through illusions,
pentacles = demons: tangible reality, substance
I don't know how accurate this is. Wands and Pentacles could possibly swapped, or more likely, we need to interpret the deck not based on the Rider Tarot Deck, but on the GO universe. So with that said, let's jump into my first impressions.
Angels
Tumblr media
Immediately, I suspect that when the tarot deck went on presale, it did not have season 2 in mind since the major arcana features nothing significant from season 2. Starting with the Angels, however, we immediately have season 2 characters including Muriel and Saraqael! And the Metatron takes center stage as The King of Angels.
Interestingly, Aziraphale appears in a solo card three times, and again with Mr. Dalrymple, the surgeon from The Resurrectionist mini episode. This will be relevant for later.
My favorite card is IV of Angels, which represents celebration.
"Upright: The IV of Angels represents milestones and celebrations. Whether you're turning another year older, you're preparing for a reunion, or you've just narrowly managed to save the world from Armageddon, it's clear that a little fete is in order. Take Aziraphale's example by tucking into your favorite celebratory sushi dish and pour yourself a glass of bubbles. You deserve it."
The Vessels
Tumblr media
I am certain that The Vessels represent emotion, as every card in the guidebook focuses not on the characters or events of each illustration, but emotions of the moment. This is the closest correlation I could find to the Rider Tarot Deck, and well, the name also gives it away.
My two favorite cards might be The King of Vessels with Shadwell's ridiculous finger and X of Vessels, featuring the Garden of Eden.
X of Vessels:
"Congratulations! Hallelujah! Your prayers are being answered. Whether you've hoped or prayed for an idyllic, perfect paradise of a home, true love, or something more mundane, the X of Vessels represents a wonderfully favorable outcome. Rejoice and enjoy!"
The Demons
Tumblr media
Hey, remember how I said it was interesting Aziraphale had three solo cards in The Angels suit? Crowley has ZERO in the Demons suit. He shares a card with Shax in the II of Demons. And remember, before you point out the IV of Demons, that is not Crowley. It's Aziraphale! This card is literally about luxuriating in a bath and treating yourself, and I'm finding not every card has a good correlation to the plot of Good Omens, but that's to be expected with 78 illustrations. This scene has a lot of potential for interpretation, however, and I wish it had been used better. But back to my original thought... Crowley is not considered a demon based on this deck.
Also interestingly, two cards feature the Four Horsemen, War in the Queen of Demons and the tools of the Four Horsemen in the III of Demons. Crowley and Aziraphale can't remember whose side they're on in canon, deeming them 'independent contractors,' but Minerva Siegel and Luthien Leerghast certainly felt they were more on the side of evil than 'good.'
Three of Demons:
"It's an unfortunate fact that even the best-laid ineffable plans fall through sometimes. Though you're feeling betrayed and disappointed, this heartbreak won't last forever. Give yourself the time you need to grieve this loss."
Yeah, you know, the more I think about it, I definitely think the Demons = Pentacles.
The Humans
Tumblr media
Last, but not least, we have The Humans suit. It features a wonderfully diverse cast of main and side characters like Sister Mary Loquacious and RP Tyler. Obviously, Adam is The King of Humans, but I absolutely love that Elspeth is featured here. HOWEVER:
There is an error in the book here. The book swaps the pictures of Elspeth and Mrs. Henderson, and now I'm not sure who is supposed to be who!
Tumblr media
Before I read the guidebook, I thought for sure Elspeth would make a perfect Knight of Humans, but Minerva Siegel has described her as the Page of Humans despite the card being mislabeled.
I have to look at the deck more closely, but this is the first misprint I've found.
Either way, the art is gorgeous, and I'm going to have a lot of fun looking through this deck. I probably won't use it much, however, because I don't want it to get damaged. I love collecting tarot for the art and different interpretations, and I'm super excited to add this to my shelf!

i don't usually get involved with team stuff but mini rant (im low-key losing my fucking mind)
I don't understand people who are Team Green, and not because of their opinions on the characters. I find Team Green as some of the most complex, interesting characters in the whole lot of asoiaf.
1: First of all, the treatment of the strong boys. They act like Jace and Luke are absolute monsters; which, I don't necessarily agree with, but without bias I do agree they are not pure and cherubic angels. Lucerys is impulsive and childish, making jokes about actual trauma and maiming a ten year old who was influenced by his older brother. Jacaerys has extreme anger issues which lead to him acting arrogantly and stubbornly to the respite of his elders.
This does not mean they are *demons*, though, and do not deserve to be treated as such. I've seen people say that they were horrible for not showing a horrified reaction to Vaemond's death, that they should've felt remorse; what choice was for them to make? Lucerys was openly against the thing, wishing his own birthright upon the person who tried to usurp him; Jacaerys heard only the words "whore" and "bastards", which set him off. I do not blame him for this in the slightest; those words have been used his entire life to demonize him, villainize him and his mother.
Other people say Rhaenyra was terrible for making her sons believe they were real Targaryens, not admitting they were bastards and trying to persuade them from the throne. This take is just - abhorrent, imo. Jacaerys was taught by his grandsire, his mother, his father that he was going to inherit the throne just like his mother would before him. Lucerys and him obviously knew they were bastards - it is hard to ignore when everyone looks at you in the street, points you out, suggests you are not what you say. Jacaerys also spent his entire life, especially in the Dance, trying to prove himself a worthy heir. His traits of being well-studied and righteous were given to Aemond, because there would be no debate on who to choose if not.
"Team Green writers should've written the show! They're making the Blacks too sympathetic!"
The blacks are supposed to be the sympathetic ones. They are the tragedy of the war; the close-knit family that, in their pursuit to stay together, were torn apart and murdered by themselves. Joffrey died alone. Lucerys died alone. Jacaerys died alone. Daemon died alone. Rhaenyra was the only one who died with her son. They were the epitome of a caring, loving family - and what did that get them? Their reluctance to be ruthless resulted in the cold murder of a child. Lucerys was 13 in the book - 14/15 in the show. His death should be as hard hitting and as sympathetic as Jaehaerys, but somehow, it is not. To make a joke about Vhagar ripping Arrax to pieces is funny, to make a joke about Blood and Cheese is horrible. The double standard is just *baffling* to me.
Another thing - most of TG loves Jon Snow. They think that Daenerys was mad, that she deserved to die, that she was evil. By this precedent, if you can accept a legitimized bastard on the throne in the form of Jon, why is it *so hard* to picture Jacaerys on the throne?
"They have no personality!"
They had absolutely no screentime. The writers gave a scene to a fucking *foot fetish*, and they could not give us a scene of Lucerys, Jacaerys, or Joffrey. Especially when Lucerys was going to die in that season - he had a total of 23 minutes of screentime, and near 6 minutes of lines. That is not even half of an episode worth - especially for him to just be sitting in the background. And the times when he is talking? He is made to be the most unsympathetic character, ever. Laughing at Aemond, attacking Aemond - he is used mainly as a plot device, and it's sad, because I truly believe he deserved better than that, bc Elliot Grihault is a great actor :D
might make a part 2 if this idiot in a discord RP keeps insisting tg is righteous and perfect and amazing and MY fav characters suck ass

LWA: This is just a mini-ask, but I've seen people comment before on Crowley's waiter jacket, and while the lapels are genuinely different from the others, the rest of the look, as far as I can tell, is because Crowley /does not understand how to wear it/. From the way it is draping at the front, he has the hanging loop attached--which you should not do while actually wearing the jacket!--and the sides aren't shorter, but tucked into the cummerbund. Which also, no. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be a deliberate costuming parallel to Gabriel's own misadventure in suit jackets, where he has neglected to cut open the back vent. Aziraphale and Crowley are more humanized than their employers, but they are still "off."
to be honest with you, LWA, mini/silly asks are very welcome at the moment!!! the details on crowley are really cool, and to my shame i'd never really paid much attention to it!!! it's not so obvious in this post (in fact i don't think the jacket is closed here, there's too big a gap?) but by 'hanging loop', im guessing that you mean this little clasp thing going on here?
Tumblr media
(also love the detail of what i think is a FiH knot, as opposed to the other servers, who im guessing are sporting half, maybe full, windsors. iconic)
as for the cummerbund disaster... from the back it definitely looks bunched and bulky, or at least the shirt definitely is (which in itself... yeah, negates the whole point of it - is it even sat in the right place?? looks like it should sit a smidge higher??) but from the bottom right, the cut of the jacket would suggest it's not long enough to be standard length, and the front finishes, and angles up, in a cropped shape at the waist (more like the front of a very high tailcoat cut?)... odd:
edit because ive just looked at this again - it does quite literally seem like it's a tailcoat cut, and he's tucked the tails into the cummerbund? crowley wtf are you doin my love you're an enigma
Tumblr media Tumblr media
regardless of the specifics though, crowley in particular dressing just slightly out-of-place is a really cool detail, especially in his historical dress; people always remark on aziraphale's clothing being slightly - or completely- out-of-touch, but crowley in his own manner dresses slightly off as well, absolutely.
slightly unrelated, and took me a hot minute to find it, but this overview of his rome attire is an example of awesome details demonstrating that crowley might not blending in as much as he intended. and bernadette banner's (1:26:45) review of their 1827 dress was really interesting too, indicating that crowley oftentimes dresses 'ahead of the time'. its plausible that crowley would just dress in a way that he thinks is accurate, but from a human's perspective is just completely foreign, and whether his attire just happens to be noticed by the right people, or its another subconscious (demonic?) power-of-influence thing, what seems to be slightly incorrect dress for the exact, specific period suddenly becomes trend-setting fashion.
but then again, we get his nanny costume, which the book chalks that up to him having watched mary poppins; goes to show that sometimes crowley doesn't quite recognise the shift in time period where dress is concerned, and instead takes the pop culture idea of what a nanny would dress like, and runs with it.
i like the thought that gabriel (and maybe all the angels, when they visit earth, to varying degrees) might dress a little strangely/have some faux pas going on, but got to confess - can't spot where gabriel's vent stitches might still be tacked? from what i can see, in s1 he has a double-vented jacket that appears to be open, and then in s2 has a ventless/ double-pleated vent jacket? possibly? (@everyone timestamps most welcome; i was scouring both seasons half asleep at 2am)
seems like he still has them tacked in his coat though which, yeah, is a really amusing detail:

--- it is no secret to anyone that angel has a bit of an obsession with power and displays of power. and after watching alastor morph effortlessly into his full demonic form, rip a new asshole into some sinners who were plotting to vandalize the hotel, and switch back without so much as breaking a sweat . . .
hm. hm.
angel sat on a barstool, his leg bouncing, smirk plastered on his face. he was just staring at alastor. you could practically see the hearts levitating above his head. he was in a mood, and it was fairly obvious. but for once he was keeping relatively to himself.
he wanted to see if alastor would notice or not. it would dictate his next move.
(in response to the sinday starter inbox call <3)
Tumblr media
It feels good to let off steam.
Now that he's taken care of the would-be troublemakers, Alastor lets himself return to normal; his eyes bleed back to crimson, his neck cracks and snaps itself down to its usual length, his fingers shorten, and his height, which had damn near doubled, shrinks down to his standard seven feet even. The other details, such as the stitching at the corners of his mouth and the glowing red X on his forehead, also disappear.
It's only when he turns on his heel, facing away from the front door and heading towards the stairs, that he catches Angel staring him down rather intently. It's enough to grab the Radio Demon's attention, making a brow raise higher as he leans his staff against his shoulder. Instead of going to his tower on the upper floor, he finds himself wandering closer to the bar.
Alright. He'll bite.

The boys Randomly Admiring Mc
Part 1: Lucifer, Mammon, Levi
Part 2: Satan, Asmo, Beel, Belphie
Part 3: Solomon, Diavolo, Barbatos, Simeon
I started off with them just admiring Mcs body in a nonsexual way but lost track of the plot
Satan
- He wated to try out sculpting so he wanted Mc to be his muse.
-He admired each part of Mc's body. Everything he looked at reminded him more and more of the art he saw. He never understood admiring bodies, until he saw Mc.
-He occasionally stops and just stares. He gives small kisses on Mc's shoulder.
-"Even if I had all the artists in the world help me with this- nothing will ever capture your beauty."
- He constantly praises Mc. It would take all his might to not touch Mc. Every scar, stretchmark, everything Mc deemed as a flaw- Satan viewed them as words on a book. Those words read: perfect, beautiful, stunning, strong.
- He falls in love with Mc all over again. He notices hes not getting his sculpture done but how can he possibly finish when there is no one in either of the three realms that can even compete with the beauty Mc has.
- He gives up but continues to admire. "No book, no movie, not any form of literature could ever prepare me for the way I feel about you, the way I see you. A human who looks like an angel but has the strength of a demon" Satan decides to read a couple poems to Mc none of them feel right, that just means he would have to write his own.
Asmo
-Mc was having a very bad day, they felt very insecure. They turned to Asmo for help.
-After class Mc heads to Asmo's room. Asmo ask Mc to trust him and that they can say stop any time. Asmo laid Mc down on his bed.
- "Now look up! Look how stunning you are. It's like looking up at stars." Asmo smiled planting a kiss on their cheek. Asmo undresses Mc starting with their shirt and pants, leaving them in their underwear.
-"Asmo.." Mc sighed. Asmo shook his head and walked away. He got rose pedals and threw them all over the bed. He admired Mc's body. It was perfect he wished Mc could see themself the way he sees them. Asmo knows whats beautiful and what isnt, Mc is the definition of beauty.
-"You're beautiful- You're the beauty standard. Every part of you is perfect. Every inch of you- gorgeous." Asmo looked up at the mirror. He would normally be staring at himself but how can he? His eyes are focused on Mc and Mc only.
-"I think no mirror could do you justice! Mc, if you could look at yourself through my eyes you would see exactly why I love you." Asmo cooed.
-"You are the most beautiful being, every bad thing you see in yourself is what I love the most about you. It's what makes you, you and I love you." Asmo hugged Mc.
-"You dont have to love yourself today but let me love you now and forever" Mc couldn’t help but smile.
Beel
-Mc and Beel decided to workout together. Beel was focused on Mc's form. Without thinking he started to stare at other parts of Mc. *Did they always have that mark there- its cute*
-Mc stared at Beel and that's when Beel noticed Mc's eyes. He wasn't the type to look at people's looks. He paid attention to behavior more. Staring into Mc's eyes he almost got lost in them. *Were their eyes always that mesmerizing* Beel questioned. Beel's face got hot as he realized how beautiful Mc is. He was hooked on their personality but now their looks have him in a trance.
-Mc waved their hand in Beels face. Beel grabbed Mc's hand and stared at them, he looked at their arms and shoulders. Beel placed a hand on their chin so they would look up at them.
-"When did you become this perfect? Why haven't I paid attention?" He placed a small kiss on their lips. He couldn’t help but take constant double takes. He feels bad for noticing their looks this late. He grabs Mc softly. He rubs their arms.
-"Did you know you look this amazing?" Beel was like a puppy finding something new. He got excited for even seeing a small smile on Mc's face. Their body was perfect to him.
-"Beel- I thought you wanted to get food" Mc questioned.
-"Not right now" Beel was no longer hungry for food. He wanted to over indulge in the beauty that was bestowed in front of him. Beel noticed how kind they are and always appreciated it but how could he never notic how physically perfect they are. Well he did but he noticed more details.
Belphie
- Mc and Belphie took a nap together. Mc needed to get ready for school but couldn't get out of his grasp, once they did Belphie whined but cuddled his pillow. Mc decided to get ready, Mc assmued Belphie was asleep so they got changed. Belphie, was infact not sleeping. He stared at Mc as they got ready.
- He saw mc and their body he couldn’t help but smile. He's lucky that Mc is in his life. A human looks this perfect. Belphie started to pay attention to Mc's movements. They were trying to be as quiet as possible but dress as quickly as they could. Belphie admired their arms, and their side profile.
-*Are they sure they're a human.* Belphie thought. Mc stopped and stared at the mirror for a bit. He stared in awe. How much strength they have, how much courage they have. How even on bad days their smile is what made those days good. When the nights were cold their body was the thing that kept him warm.
-Staring at them made him feel safe. He started to slowly fall asleep. "I love you Mc, You're beautiful" was the last thing he muttered his last thought before going to sleep was Mc thats how he knew he will be sleeping well tonight. Mc is his dream come true and they are perfect to him in every way.

Hello Anon! Sorry about the super late replay! (´~`ヾ) I’m going to assume when you say you want to know more about the 2p world you were referencing the post where I said I need to create a whole post about how 2p toonz and 1p toonz are “Angels” and “Demons”
But before I dive into that let me answer the second part. Yes I’m positive 2p boys have their own names since some awesome peeps here on tumblr have told me them when I have asked before but I can’t remember all of them of the top of my head.
I do remember is that 2p Wildcat has the name Zipcat (゚ヮ゚) the rest of the boys I don’t remember (´~`ヾ)
I tend to just refer them to their original names because I kept forgetting what names the Fandom would use when referring to the 2p boys lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So! As much as it would be funny if Cartoonz was a legit Demon/Angel in the 1p/2p world my brain wanted like a more Syfy element to explain why certain people have abilities that range from physical skills and to what other may consider supernatural.
So! In my headcanon on how exactly these two exist can possibly exist in the gang au that is like the main setting for 1p/2p these two are actually Aliens…. Yes aliens. Let me explain.
This isn’t meant to be like a slander of religion or what not, I just thought it’ll be a cool idea that your traditional alien and demon were actually aliens.
In the 1p/2p world humanity was created by two different Alien species fucking around on a planet and wanting too see what will happen if they created a creature made in their image but without any of their abilities. Hence the birth of humans, those humans called the species that had red skin, horns and tails Daimōn meaning “spiritual being that influences a person’s character.” And for those with blue skin, wings and a hallow they called them Angelus meaning “a messenger , those who are guardians.”
They called them this because at the beginning the Daimons would be the ones trying to influence the new species to explore new things, feel new emotions and experience others to observe how they would react to certain circumstance.
While the Angelus would be the ones to set certain standards, make them question their actions and to look at the results, try to make them think before they act. And helped them with any problems that might pop up.
At the beginning both these specifics of aliens worked together but over time they started to argue with each other for having different view on which direction to lead this new species. In the end it started a fight and humans caught in the middle. Over time humanity view on Daimons shifted to view them as pure evil becuase they blamed their actions on them. “They’re the ones who encouraged me to follow my desire, they’re the ones who said to ignore what other say and do what I wished. It’s thier fault for the fighting, it’s their fault for the temptations” and they view Angelus as their savior “they helped me with my problems, if I devote myself they will help me be safe, if I follow certain rules I shall prosper, they saved us from the fighting”
Both species of aliens eventually stopped fighting and agreed to leave humans be and check back every 100 years to check on their progress of things but to not interfere.
but this rule was broken by a select few who wanted to poke at humanity to see how they react.
In the case of 1p Cartoonz who is a Daimon (Demon) he was at earth watching how humans could be kind one second and vicious the next. He actually stumbled across Delirious who was a thief and a small time gangster fighting to feed himself but got caught in a bigger gang scheme and ended up being shot and dumped in an alleyway for dead. Cartoonz made a deal with him because he wanted to see what will happen if an ordinary human who got double crossed and thrown under the bus had abilities of the supernatural kind.
In the case of 2p Cartoonz who is a Angelus (Angel) he was sent to earth by his council to bond with a baby to learn how to experience Empathy and Remorse because unfortunately for 2p Cartoonz and his society he was born with traits of a psychopath who could not understand or feel empathy, guilt or love towards another. So bonding with a baby would help him experience these emotions from new born to adult hood. Of course 2p Cartoonz hated this idea and when he heard stories about 2p delirious who others called a lifeless machine, an emotionless attacked dog, he decided to create a bond with him because it would be far more exciting than following a baby around being an invisible figure who couldn’t interact with anything or anyone.
the rest is history lol. Of course this information is subject to change if I feel that some details need to be changed but overall this is the setting in regards to demons and angels for me.

this may sound a little harsh but honestly I have disdain for anyone who seriously compares/conflates the magnus archives and welcome to night vale beyond a surface level. like ... sure ... they're both speculative audio drama, set in a world that slightly deviates from ours in ways that can be unsettling, have a work-related framing device, are about a queer guy with a strong personality.
but. tma is straight up horror. whether you personally think it's scary or not, its purpose is to be a collection of spooky stories that will creep you out and/or make you think about the nature of fear and why and how certain things scare people, and how both the emotion of fear itself and the ways people capitalizing on other people's fears affect both the characters and the listener. (yes, it has an overarching plot, but even at the end when the plot is at its most important -- during season 5 -- the core of the regular episodes is a self-contained scary story).
welcome to night vale is a very different story. the "horror" elements are always grounded in either comedy or social commentary. tma dips into social commentary occasionally (eg with the lonely symbolizing depression), but, I'd argue, not with a ton of intentionality. and it's absolutely not a comedy. wtnv, regardless of whether you personally think it's funny, is. the comedy comes either from pure absurdity or from the juxtaposition between tone and subject matter (the way cecil almost always delivers dire news in a chipper tone, versus the way he talks about seemingly ordinary things and events, like librarians or valentine's day, in a grim, foreboding way).
wtnv is also chock-full of incisive satire. follow the arc of desert bluffs, as an example -- while it starts out in absurdism ("kill your double"), it then turns to anti-corporate/anti-fascist commentary (the year 2 arc), then pivots to be about xenophobia, specifically the way minority religious and ethnic communities are demonized by the majority for atrocities perpetuated by an elite few at the top (years 3-4 iirc), and eventually ends up in a hopeful place of peaceful coexistence. there's also a ton of other stuff -- the ineffectual, monolithic city council, the sheriff's secret police, the vague yet menacing government agency, angels as people who "don't exist" legally and the implications of that, night vale's hostility toward "interlopers," etc, etc. and, hell, wtnv even has its own poignant exploration of depression ("being stuck in the mud," I wanna say year 4 or 5). sure, it's occasionally creepy or scary, but the main thrust of the series is not to scare you or to explore the nature of fear. it's to explore various social issues through a lens that is absurd -- either in a funny way, or in an unsettling way, or in a way that walks a fine line between.
finally, a slightly tangential point that might also piss people off, but fuck it, I'm including it anyway -- I get annoyed when people compare tma and wtnv in terms of representation/imply that tma is somehow more progressive than wtnv just because it's newer/that wtnv is somehow outdated in its representation. objectively, wtnv has a very strong track record when it comes to being thoughtful about diversity and inclusion, especially in matters of race. for instance, very early in the show's run, when fink and cranor decided to make carlos a much bigger character, they recast his va to be dylan marron, a latino man (it was previously a bit part taken by cranor iirc). they even made up an in-universe explanation for why his voice had changed. since then, they've cast multiple vas of color to play characters of color (tamika, dana, josie, kevin, basimah, michelle, etc) which is far from standard practice both in podcasts and in animation. few other widely loved/well funded podcasts take the care to do this (a few smaller ones, like caravan and desperado, actually do, proving it's not a matter of money/resources but rather one of care and intention). I'm not saying wtnv is perfect in its handling of race and other sensitive topics, nor am I saying that tma is horrible at it (though I have seen some criticism leveled at it that I agree with). I'm just saying that to compare wtnv unfavorably to tma in terms of its handling of sensitive topics is just laughable and smacks of the fallacy that just because a show started airing in 2012, it has to be less progressive than shows coming out later.
anyway. thanks for indulging me if you read this far. stop lumping these two shows together </3

MASTERLIST
When there was me and you
Why did I let myself believe miracles could happen?
Not managing to drive all the way to Sioux Falls, they crashed in a motel.
“I think there’s too many of us to take only one room this time.” Commented Dean, pointing at Ramiel.
“Non c’è problema, I don’t need sleep.” The angel shrugged.
“Yeah, but the people at the counter don’t know that, do they? Let’s just take two rooms and avoid all the questions.” Dean started walking towards the reception. “Me and Sam will take one and you two…” He smirked and glared at Emily. “-you can cuddle in another one.”
“Do you really want me to break your nose right now?” Commented Emily, shoving him on the side and taking the credit card from his hands. Scowling at him, she entered the reception and, nevertheless, asked for two rooms, even if the plan was to hung out in the same room for a while.
Emily sat on one of the beds as Dean cleaned his gun, as he often did when he was nervous, and Sam left to get food. Ramiel leaned on the wall next to the door, pensive.
“Are you going to hold a grudge on me forever?” Dean asked, briefly stopping cleaning and raising his eyes to look at Emily.
“That’s pretty much the idea, yeah.”
“Alright.” He went back to his cleaning. “I’ll let you go back to your sweet sixteen in peace.”
“Fuck you.” She answered.
“Wouldn’t it be easier if you just told me why you’re so upset?” Emily didn’t answer and looked at the door. “Emily? Come on.”
“Okay, I’m- Dean, are you really going to let Sam off the hook like that? Is it really just fine for you?”
Dean hesitated. “Of course not.”
“Then why did you say so?”
Dean exhaled and put the gun on the table. He turned towards Emily. “Because sometimes- some things are just not worth a fight.”
Emily remained silent for a second, thinking. “So, me opening the gates of hell is worth a fight, a big one, even- but Sam starting the apocalypse is not? Talk about double standards.” She rolled her eyes.
Dean exhaled again. “Well, I guess the past two years have taught me a thing or two.”
After a minute of silence, Emily spoke again.  “Look at you, you’ve grown up to be so wise.” She chuckled.
Dean smiled. It came to Emily she had not seen him do it in weeks. “Look, it’s not like I’m not mad at him, just…” Dean sighed. “…this is not the time to fight, we need to fix this.” He said. Emily nodded and started rummaging in her pockets for her cigarettes. “By the way, what has gotten into you lately?”
Emily glared at him. “What do you mean?”
“I mean, like- Alastair, Ruby… Usually I would have expected you to come down panicking but you've been surprisingly badass.”
“Well, I guess the past two years have taught me a thing or two.” She mocked.
They remained in silence for a minute before Dean spoke again. “About Sam, try to be a little bit more chill, okay? I know you're mad and I'm not saying act like nothing happened, but- drop the yelling, it's not helping anybody.”
Sam opened the door and entered the room.
“Hey.” He said, tossing his siblings one hex bag each. “These will keep us hidden from angels and demons.”
“Really?” Asked Emily, examining the bag.
“Yeah, umh- Ruby taught me.” Something flipped in Emily's mind and she shot her eyes up to Sam. Dean cleared his throat, grabbing her attention. She forced herself to stay calm.
“That's… Cool.” She sighed. “About that…“ She collected all her strengths. ”...sorry I killed your girlfriend.”
Sam lightly scoffed. “Not my girlfriend but- it's okay, I would have done the same.”
“Speaking of.” Said Dean. “How you doing? Are you jonesing for another hit of bitch blood or what?”
“I-it's weird. Uh-” Sam quickly glared at Emily. ”...tell you the truth, I'm fine. No shakes, no fever. It's like whoever...put me on that plane cleaned me right up.”
“That's the first good news I've heard all week.” Sighed Emily, standing back up. An awkward silence filled the room. Dean cleared his throat again, this time without any second meaning, and stood up to put away his gun.
“Guys-” As she heard Sam’s voice, Emily moved her glare away from Ramiel and looked at Sam. Dean, instead, sighed and turned the other way.
“Sam,“ he said. “It's okay. You don't have to say anything.”
Emily stood up and went to pack her bag, trying to ignore the conversation happening behind her.
“Well, that's good. Because what can I even say?” Continued Sam. “I'm sorry? I screwed up? Doesn't really do it justice, you know? Look, there's nothing I can do or say that will ever make this right-”
“Then stop fucking talking about it!” Emily threw a shirt on top of her bag. Dean side eyed her from the other side of the room. “God.” She exhaled, shaking her head and going back to her packing.
A minute of silence followed her words.
“Alright listen to me-” Resumed Dean. “Both of you. We don't have to put this under a microscope. We made a mess. We clean it up. That's it.” When Emily didn't answer, Dean lightly hit the back of her shoulder. “Drop the attitude, okay? We got work to do.”
Emily sighed. “Alright.” She said. “By the way, it’s late, I’ll head to my room.” She took her bag and walked out of the door, silently followed by Ramiel.
“Use protections!” Said Dean as soon as they had walked out of the room. Emily walked back a couple of steps to show him the finger.
“Sorry about my brother.” Said Emily on their way to the room. “He’s an idiot.”
Ramiel shrugged. “I find him funny.”
“Well, if you like him so much we can swap rooms and you can sleep in his bed.” She chuckled, opening the door. Ramiel didn’t answer as they entered the room and Emily closed it behind them. “Well, home sweet home.” She joked. “Make yourself comfortable, choose the side you want.” She pointed at the bed and then she disappeared in the bathroom to take a shower. As she turned on the faucet, she could not help but think about the angel that was currently just outside that thin door.
She knew that, physically, it wasn’t Ramiel that attracted her, it was the vessel. But it wasn’t just that. Somehow the way he talked, constantly mixing Italian and English, the fact that he was also so calm, completely the opposite of her... It made her mind go to very weird and unholy places. He emanated calm and peace and she couldn’t help but be attracted to him. She finished washing and went out of the room to dry her hair. Ramiel was sitting on the bed, watching tv with a confused expression.
“What are you watching?” Asked Emily, looking over at the television.
“Something about an older brother.” He answered. On the screen, Emily saw a group of people all hanging out in the same room, arguing.
“You mean The Big Brother?” She smiled. “That’s not good tv, man-” She walked over to the bed and grabbed the remote. “Here, I’ll find something interesting for you.” She sat next to him on the bed and started zapping through the channels. She felt Ramiel’s hand touching her hair as she found Doctor Sexy on a channel and stood back up.. “This is way better.” She smiled and finished drying her hair as Ramiel stared at the screen. Then, she threw herself on the bed next to the angel, her legs crossed.
“Listen, why don’t we watch a movie? We can have a sleepover.” She joked. Ramiel looked at her, confused.
“I told you, I don’t need to sleep.”
Emily smiled. “That’s the point of a sleepover, Miele.” She said.
“I see.” Ramiel smiled. “What do you want to watch?” Emily raised her eyebrows. Ramiel had probably seen little to no movies, so it was her chance to make him watch a good one.
The best one.
“We gotta watch High School Musical!” She said, rushing out of the bed to take her laptop. Ramiel patiently waited as she searched for the file in the deeper folders of her laptop, and then placed the computer at the end of the bed. “Are you ready?” She asked, suggestively. “This movie goes hard.”
About halfway through the movie, Emily started falling asleep. Her head slowly falling in front of her, she was suddenly awakened by Ramiel’s comments.
“This school really is obsessed with the status quo.” He said.
Emily’s head shot up as she tried to stay awake. “Mh-mh” She muttered, her head now falling to her right and onto Ramiel’s shoulder. When he didn’t complain, Emily just remained there, exhausted.
She slept peacefully, something that didn’t happen as often as she would have liked to. When she woke up, she did it with her face deep in the pillow. She opened one eye and saw Ramiel in a brand new suit, adjusting his cufflinks on the other side of the room.
“Ah, I see you got back in character.” Commented Emily, yawning.
“Good morning Emily.” He said, calm. “I'm sorry to be so abrupt, but I have to go.” He started standing up.
Emily sat on the bed. “What?” She asked.
“The angels are closing in on me. If they find me again- I will die.”
Emily quickly got out of her bed and walked towards him.
“Ramiel, what did you do?” She asked, confused. “Why are they looking for you?”
“I rebelled. Way more than Castiel thinks.” He answered. Emily looked at him.
“What do you mean?”
“You. You are the reason the angels are looking for me. I got you out of hell while we were fighting against it to get your brother.”
“Why?” Ramiel looked at an indefinite point behind Emily, hesitating.
“This might be the last time you see me.” He said.
“What are you talking about?” She asked again.
“I’m sorry, amore, I can’t.” Ramiel exhaled and tried to walk away.
“No, don’t- Come on, man, just explain to me what's going on.” She stopped him. “We can help, you know we can.”
“I believe this is above you and your brothers.” He cupped her cheeks. She took his wrists and moved his hands away.
“Don’t change the subject, Ramiel, you told me I was destined and that god had work for me!” In the blink of an eye, Ramiel’s wrist disappeared from her hands in front of her and there was nothing left.
Emily stood still for a good minute, processing. Then, she took her bag and ran knocking on her brothers' door. Sam opened the door, barely awake.
"Emily, what are you doing- it's seven in the morning, we went to sleep two hours ago.” He exhaled, dragging his hands across his face. Emily completely ignored his words and entered the room, shoving him on the side. She walked up to Dean's bed and started shaking him to wake him up.
"Dean, wake up!”
"Emily, what's going on?” Asked Sam, trying to stop Emily. Dean abruptly woke up.
"You need to call Castiel.” Said Emily getting rid of Sam's hold.
"What? What time is it?” Answered Dean, still tired.
"I said call Castiel!”
"Emily, what the hell is going on?” Asked Sam, as Dean slowly got out of his bed, upset.
"Ramiel left.”
Dean started walking towards the bathroom. "Probably should learn how to have sex right.” He mumbled.
"Wh- shut up! This is serious!”
“What? He’s an angel, they come and go as they like. Why is this any different than the other times?” Dean came out of the bathroom drying his face. “He said the angels are looking for him and- Dean, I need to speak with Castiel.”
“No, you need to calm down- Talk with me, what happened?”
Emily sat on the bed and drew a big breath. “You know how he said he brought me back because it was my destiny, all that stuff?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Apparently, it’s all a big lie.”
“What? Why?”
“I don’t know, Dean he- I don’t know, okay?”
Sam intervened. “And how’s Castiel going to help?”
“Apparently Ramiel is wanted by all heaven, and I am sure Castiel knows why.”
“Well, he’s not answering. Been missing.” Said Dean. Emily let her body fall back onto the mattress. “I’m sorry kid.” He fell onto Sam’s bed. “At least you got some good angel sex out of him before he left.”
Emily exchanged a quick amused look with Sam. “What makes you think I had sex with him?”
“You didn’t?” Dean prompted himself up with his elbows, disappointed. “Come on, I even set you up by putting you in the same room.”
“Dean, what is your problem with Ramiel and I?”
“Emily, come on.” He smiled. “He’s been calling you love since the day he met you. He clearly has a thing for you, and-” Dean interrupted, mocking Emily as she instinctively smiled while thinking of the angel. ”...well, there’s that face that you’re making.”
Emily immediately returned serious. “I’m not making any face!” She protested and looked at Sam, who was also chuckling.
“Look, I get it-” Said Dean. “You got a crush on the handsome Italian angel who saved your life, really- perfectly understandable. But…” He hesitated.
“But what, Dean?” When Emily answered that, he turned around, a big smile on his face.
“So you’re not denying.” He mocked. “You do like Ramiel!” Emily rolled her eyes. “Fuck you.”
“Yeah, I love you too.” He said, showing her the finger.
