Alpha-17 and Obi-Wan being friends (derogatory) on 17's part and friends (threatening) on Obi-Wan's part is such an underrated dynamic
They could be so funny and terrifying, like Obi-Wan went through a soul shredding experience with Alpha-17 as his only company. They're friends because what else are you gonna be after you witness each other at absolute rock bottom from torture.
It's like 'dog put in cage of cheetah who's threatening to go crazy', except the dog is a grizzly bear and also threatening to go crazy.
Emotional support trooper except the trooper in question has never done any sort of supporting in his life and is actively an emotional distress trooper to a great number of the CC batch.
I want them texting everyday, I want Obi-Wan mailing handmade BFF bracelets to Alpha and Alpha sending pics back of him flipping off the camera but still wearing them, I want Alpha using Obi-Wan to keep track of and occasionally terrorize his cadets, I want 17 ending problems in the GAR (like Krell) before they begin because Obi-Wan has him shipped out on a personal transport at the first opportunity, decked out with slug-throwers Obi-Wan got him for his decant-day.
Natborn officers think this is all just an odd indulgence of General Kenobi, the Vode, however, correctly identify it as a goddamn threat and their danger assessment of Obi-Wan ticks up significantly.
When Alpha arrives on Kamino, Shaak Ti presses a shiny new comm into his hand. It has the Jedi Order symbol painted onto it alongside a smiley face sticker, and it pings immediately with a new message: Hello! I hope you're settling in well!
Alpha stares at the message, stares at the singular contact named 'OWK' and then stares Shaak Ti in the eye as he pitches the comm straight into the ocean. Shaak Ti's serene smile only grows larger as she calmly reaches into her robes and pulls out an identical comm, only this one has a frowny face sticker, and presses it into his hand. It lights up: I'm afraid we've bonded, Alpha :). Alpha shuts it off and pockets it with resignation.
Cody arrives on Alpha-17's personal recommendation.
A-17: He's the most difficult little bastard I have. You're perfect for each other. OWK: Thank you, he's very handsome :3 A-17: No. Stop.
The first thing he asks once he gets comfortable is who his general is texting so much that has him swinging his legs and twirling his hair. Cody assumes it's Anakin, given they seem joint at the hip anyway, but little does he know Obi-Wan's ability to consistently have the Weirdest Relationships Ever.
"Oh, it's Alpha-17, I understand you're familiar with each other?" Hmm. OK. Cody.exe is experiencing a processing error, please hold. He exits the room instead of answering. The next day he peeks over the General's shoulder when he's texting and sees walls of rambling messages from Obi-Wan. Alpha-17 replies every hour with a single text: Lose this number. Obi-Wan giggles. "He's so funny." he says.
When Obi-Wan meets the rest of the CC batch, Cody makes sure to stand perfectly angled so that he can record the reactions when his general cuts off their introductions with "Oh, no need, Alpha-17's told me all about you." It's always immediate FEAR.JPG followed by a slow spiral of What The Fuck.
What do you mean by that General. What does that mean Cody. What do you mean they text. No. Cody. What the fuck is happening, Cody. Alpha-17 doesn't have friends he has enemies and enemies he tolerates enough not to shoot on sight.
OWK: Wolffe reached for his vambrace? when I mentioned you A-17: That's where he keeps his spare knife. OWK: Hm that does explain the way he eyed me up, ambitious. A-17: Clearly not enough, he should have followed through. I taught them better.

~all creatures great and small~ (amazing illustration by the awesome @david-talks-sw)
Tumblr media
“And just what exactly is it that you’ve been doing?”
Obi-Wan had to stop himself from giving his fellow Councillor—and friend—a rather pronounced eyeroll.
“You tell me,” he said without taking his eyes off his clamoring little herd, feeling rather proud of himself. “What does it look like I’m doing?”
Mace came up to his side and crossed his arms, looking decidedly unimpressed. He looked at Obi-Wan, then at his rambunctious little friends and their merrymaking, then back at Obi-Wan again.
“It looks like you have been avoiding meetings all morning.”
Obi-Wan couldn’t help the small smirk that tugged at his mouth. He carefully put his hands in his large sleeves.
“Have I?” He knew he wouldn’t be able to stop laughing if he saw Mace’s no doubt exasperated face, so he kept carefully looking onward. “You should have called me.”
“You know I did,” Mace griped, valiantly ignoring the racket and still boring holes in the side of Obi-Wan’s face.
If it came to a contest of wills, Obi-Wan knew he’d be hard pressed to match Mace’s stubbornness. He turned to face him, and inevitably let out a huffed chuckle. Mace looked annoyed alright, but he could do nothing about the twinkle in his deep eyes.
“You,” Mace insisted, no doubt trying to maintain what he probably hoped to be a convincingly stern demeanor, “have spent all day corrupting our next generation instead of going over mission reports.”
“Really, Mace—”
A yellow blur careening between the two of them nearly knocked them off their feet. A beige, more bipedal one rushed right after it, bumping into them both with equal speed if not equal force.
“Sorry Masters!” the youngling yelled over her shoulder without stopping.
Obi-Wan had to cough into his fist to keep from cackling.
“Obi-Wan.” Mace said.
“She apologized,” Obi-Wan pointed out with a brilliant smile.
“You still haven’t.”
“What for?”
Mace’s control finally cracked, and he thrust an accusing finger at Obi-Wan’s innocent face, ready to give into a rare display of unrestrained aggravation. Obi-Wan quickly batted it away and beat him to the punch.
“It’s a perfectly good way of teaching the younglings patience and control!”
Mace blinked at him, his mouth left hanging open, his finger still up and now pointing somewhere over to the right. He turned slowly, and surveyed the bustling courtyard in bemusement. The half-dozen or so pufferpigs that Obi-Wan had let loose there were being corralled by three times as many eager younglings, clone cadets and Padawans, and the animals all felt entitled to express the full range of their feelings on the matter in a loud and enthusiastic fashion. Little Mari Amithest was still running after the particularly rowdy creature that had mistaken Obi-Wan and Mace for Rodian bowling pins.
Mace’s eyebrows climbed to previously undiscovered heights.
“What part of this,” he gestured incredulously, “is controlled?”
“None of the pigs have puffed yet,” Obi-Wan explained seriously.
Mace’s eyebrows were now on their way into orbit. A moment passed. Then, his expression of astonishment seamlessly melted into curiosity.
“They haven’t?” he asked, considering the whole bunch with renewed interest.
“I told you, it’s a proven method,” Obi-Wan insisted, vindicated. He pointed to the far corner of the courtyard, where Katooni was showing some of the younger children how to feed a happy looking unpuffed puffer. “My Padawan has taught that one to do tricks.”
The squealing puffer was hopping from one foot to the other before avidly sweeping treats from the children’s outstretched hands.
Mace was now looking suitably impressed. More careful study of Mari’s chase was making it apparent that the animal she was after was not distressed in any way, but was—rather mischievously—trying to run off with her sash clutched in its stout trunk.
“You shouldn’t let emotions cloud your perception,” Obi-Wan reminded him in a serious voice.
“Hm,” Mace conceded magnanimously, impervious to the teasing.
The twinkle of carefully contained amusement that had been present in his eyes from the start had won over all other sentiments. A wet snort had the two Masters look down at the adventurous pufferpig that had made its way over to them. The amicable beast was fixing them with soulful blue eyes, candidly inoffensive. Its stubby tail was wagging quite politely. Mace distractedly bent down to pet the expectant critter on its broad, squishy face.
“It wants to smell your lightsaber,” Obi-Wan warned. “They like crystals.”
Mace straightened and put a hand on his hilt.
“The Mining Guild didn’t pick them up yesterday?” he inquired. “That was on the agenda.”
Obi-Wan shrugged.
“They tried, but for some reason all the identity chips turned out to be unreadable. There’s no way to prove who these fellows belong to.”
Mace gave him a flat look.
“Hondo stole them from a Republic transport.”
“There’s all sorts of things on Republic transports,” Obi-Wan reasonably pointed out.
“The transport was chartered by the Mining Guild.”
“Hondo wiped the manifest during his hijacking. There’s just no way to know.”
“Your Padawan was there to escort the Mining Guild representatives.”
“Some mysteries can never hope to be solved.”
The pufferpig had taken to bonking its head against their legs affectionately. Mace, bowing to the undeniable strength of Obi-Wan’s ironclad argumentation, very seriously gave the tenacious quadruped another pat.
“They’re not staying,” he reminded Obi-Wan firmly.
“Obviously not,” Obi-Wan raised an eyebrow. “The Temple would be a terrible environment for them.”
His friend narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
“And you’re not making me spend my time finding them a place.”
“Honestly, Mace.” Obi-Wan gave the affable puffer a gentle shove, and it obediently trotted away to a nearby group of younglings and clone cadets who were already entertaining one of its siblings. Obi-Wan wiped his hands on his pants. “Naboo has very responsible educational farms.”
“Does it,” Mace said mildly.
“Including a recently opened one in the Lake District.”
Unashamedly petty enjoyment rang in the Force.
“Don’t come to me when Skywalker tries to send them back.”
“Who says I’ll pick up when he does?”
Obi-Wan loved Anakin, dearly. Still, he hadn’t yet quite forgiven his old Padawan for retiring—running away—before they could make him shoulder his share of the sacred responsibility of wrangling the Temple’s significantly increased youngling population. It was Luke and Leia’s birthday soon anyway.
“You’re stooping to deviousness,” Mace said, carefully neutral.
Obi-Wan gave him a wry look.
“Never. Revenge is not the Jedi way,” he said just as calmly.
“It’s them you’re supposed to be teaching,” Mace said with a short nod towards the unruly bunch. “He’s had his turn.”
Speaking of teaching…
“Oh my,” Obi-Wan said smugly, pointing to a boy who had taken to carefully levitating a surprisingly compliant—if a little alarmed—pufferpig, “that wouldn’t happen to be Caleb, would it?”
His fellow Council member was now pinching the bridge of his nose, his other hand planted on his hip.
“I must say, that young man is certainly very skilled at forming connections with animals. Depa must be very proud.”
“Just don’t,” Mace groaned. He whipped out his communicator. “He’s supposed to be meditating with Yoda right now.”
“That explains it,” Obi-Wan said.
Master Yoda was slowly ambling into the courtyard, looking quite pleased with what he was seeing. He poked misbehaving younglings with his cane as he walked, chuckling to himself when they yelped and hastily reached with the Force to make sure the pufferpigs stayed relaxed. The pufferpigs themselves were only curious, and in a sufficiently playful mood that the younglings’ offended squeaking was not enough to agitate them. Caleb had set down his floating puffer with all possible speed—and great care—at the sight of the venerable elder, and made ample and readily accepted apologies to the perplexed animal in the form of scritches.
Mace slowly put away his communicator. He pursed his lips.
“Obi-Wan,” he said slowly, “next time, just have them practice making friends with the stray tookas.”
That’s how his master had done it, and Mace had never had any problems with connecting with animals, large and small.
“Pufferpigs are much more even-tempered.”
It was all Mace could do not to facepalm. Giving up, he shot Obi-Wan one last dry look.
“Just do your damn paperwork.”
Obi-Wan watched him stride away, dignified and imposing. Of course, since he wasn’t exactly paying attention to his surroundings, with how focused he was on pretending he was above this whole situation, he didn’t notice Mari’s wayward puffer on a direct collision course with his legs. The poor creature, who hadn’t noticed Mace either, let out a terrified screech and promptly puffed.
The entire courtyard froze, watching with fascination as the inflated pufferpig bounced twice and slowly rolled to a halt. It made a sorry little squeak.
Resignedly, Mace closed his eyes and set to work on gently calming down the pufferpig with the Force.
The children loudly cheered.

CloneTok/SpaceTok/JediTok
Ahsoka: *reading off the comments* What does Jedi and Clone Halloween look like?
Fives: Oh, yeah! Halloween was super fun this year! It was awesome, since the clones all live in the temple now, we did it there.
Ahsoka: Yeah! It was actually the Jedi’s first temple wide celebration too, we got to make costumes and the padawans and initiates and shinies and cadets got to go around getting goodies!
Fives: The temple is massive though, the population of a small planet at it’s fullest right now, though we keep finding empty rooms, so it’s not too crowded, but that means none of us were able to get to everyone, that’d be impossible.
Ahsoka: We started off in Master Obi-Wan’s hallway. He had Master Vos with him, and Master Obi-Wan’s kids went with our group. It was really funny though, Master Obi-Wan put out three treat types. One was a cooler of cocktail mixes he makes himself, he said they only had about two shots in them but I don’t know how much that is really.
Fives: It’s like one really big gulp of Hardcase and Taco’s illegal still juice.
Ahsoka: oh my god that’s so much Master Obi-Wan is crazy! The masters bringing kids around got so excited when they saw those!
Fives: Heh, yeah. They’re really good, and he has a bunch of different flavor types. What else did he put out?
Ahsoka: A really big bowl of Mandalorian spice candy and sweeties, and Master Vos put out a bowl of potatoes. The bowl was completely empty the next day, but the older clones were coming by for days to steal more spice candy.
Fives: Heh, I think I got one of those potatoes, but I had one of his cocktail mixers and another cocktail mixer from another master four blocks over, things got fuzzy after that.
Ahsoka: What happened to your potato?
Fives: I’m pretty sure Echo stole it for a midnight snack.
Ahsoka: That’s such a mood.
Rex: *coming out of a room in the background* Are either of you finding potatoes hidden in your room since Halloween?
Ahsoka: jdifnerkdnr
Fives: omfg

Dinluke, codywan time travel fanfic stuff
So, like Cody is the ori’vod of his batch in this fic and I’m sitting here on vacation thinking about how that plays out. Like somehow he’s been able to hide his huge fat crush on Obi-Wan from them, but not his own men. Sort of.
Rex has an idea, but thinks it’s more of an awe-struck feeling over natborns being nice than actual feelings.
Cody: *Staring at Obi-Wan after he compliments him*
Rex: Man, my brother really doesn’t know how to handle natborns being nice to him. Takes him off guard every time.
Honestly, I think the only one that would have a clue is Fox. Not because he’s witnessed anything, but because of shit he’s overheard in the drunk tanks.
Waxer: *Drunk and complaining.* The Commander really needs to get his shit together.
Fox: *Actively listening now because that’s his ori’vod.*
Boil: *Just as drunk and just as over Cody’s bullshit.* Yeah, his heart eyes are going to kill me. Wish the General would figure it out for them instead!
Fox: Blackmail!
Ponds and Wolffe are rarely around Cody when Obi-Wan is there. But when they are, Cody does his best to make sure they don’t notice. These are the two who would give him the most shit, after all.
Ponds: Do you remember when Cody cried because Prime looked at him funny?
Wolffe: Or the time that Cody got decked by Neyo and had to be sent to the med center?
Cody: Come on, we all have moments like that as cadets.
Ponds: Yeah but most cadets don’t fall off into the ocean.
Cody: I was trying to help Rex! He dropped his—
Bly would be the first one Cody tells, because Bly is hopelessly in love with his general and everyone knows. But Cody doesn’t want every conversation he has with his brother to be about their generals.
Bly: So, yeah that’s what General Secura did.
Cody: Interesting, but you also said there was some kind of flying animal on this planet?
Bly: Oh boy, let me tell you. One of those fuckers nearly took of my arm. I want one as a pet and I want to train them to piss on Wolffe and Fox.
Cody: Tell me more.
But you know… they all know by the end, before Cody can really admit his feelings, and they all find that hilarious.

Bedrock Headcannons: Commander Cody
Bedrock headcannons are headcannons that I regard as a fact in the personality of a character I write about. They range from small details to a huge part of a character's backstory. These headcannons are a constant underlayer in all of my fics that involve these characters.
﹄『❝ Cody ❞』﹃
Cody didn't fight in the first Battle of Geonosis because his gunship was shot down before it reached the arena. He was the only surviver.
This is also how Cody got his scar.
Cody and Obi-Wan met briefly at a clone medical center. Cody had been there because of his scar and he kept getting out of bed because he had to go check on his brothers. Obi-Wan was there for a similar reason, he was checking in and meeting all the soldiers. Cody was stumbling in the hall, his wound had opened again, and was trying to make it back to his room before he fell, but he did fall, he fell right into Obi-Wan's arms. Now Cody was too delirious to remember his name, but he's had a crush on Obi-Wan since day fucking one.
Cody's heart almost stopped when, weeks later, he was called to the Chancellor's office for assignment and the man who he thought was a dream- no, who he thought had been an angel of his delirium, came walking in, with his golden smile and his kyanite eyes. Cody couldn't believe he was real, and that he was Cody's general.
Cody got in touch with Rex immediately following the battle and Rex was blabbing on about this senator he rescued who came to visit him and brought him the prettiest flowers ever (Rex's words). Cody was with Obi-Wan when Anakin was saying he'd have a battalion soon, he was jealous Obi-Wan already had his, and he got onto talking about Rex. Now, Anakin didn't say Rex, but he did say Padme, and Cody, Cody had never once inturrupted a superior, but he couldn't stand there and let the opportunity to be in twin battalions with his brother pass him by; It was Cody who told Anakin who Rex was and that he was the clone that had been with Padme.
Cody does not take any shit from Anakin. He spends so much with Obi-Wan he feels like he raised Anakin too. So if they're ever together, Cody tends to mimic Obi-Wan's composure but in the way that Anakin feels like he's 15 again getting scolded for some stupid prank when in reality he's just explaining a battle plan. Cody makes Anakin nervous and he can't figure it out.
Cody's love language is quality time
He doesn't like to be around people when he's mourning, usually his brothers stay close after a tough battle and remember their fallen brothers. But Cody can't, he sees the faces of his brothers and he feels like such a failure. He's a Marshal Commander but that doesn't mean shit. He's the most qualified person out on the battlefield, but he still can't keep his brothers alive and he can't save them from this war.
As a cadet, CC-2224 was very problematic and increasingly troubled. He started fights with whoever over anything and if he wasn't yelling, he was crying. He would cry for hours and there wasn't anyone who could calm down the young cadet. Anyone except Alpha-17. Which is why CC-2224 trusted Alpha, who woke him up in the night and took him down to the medbay, who picked up the young boy and placed him in the doctor chair and put on a soldier helmet. It was only Alpha-17 CC-2224 trusted enough to be betrayed. When he woke up, his name was Cody and he never cried or yelled, he didn't scream or start a fight, Cody was the perfect cadet after that night.

Merge the Timestream AU.
This came about because the amazing @bitter-chocolate-stars muse for the AU idea Merging the TimeStream flew out and bit me.  I would highly recommend reading it first, because it is awesome and I could not do it justice.
Now onto the madness.
It is a mission to a Force Temple, old enough that no one knows which side of the Force it was for (or if it was for a specific side).  There were rumors that there was an ancient artifact that could change the tides of the War, so The 212th and the 501st were dispatched to get it before the Separatists.
Five people went into the final chamber to search(There was a description of the artifact in the temple. Only four words had been able to be translated-Past, Present, Future, and Knowledge): Obi Wan Kenobi, Anaking Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Commander Cody, and Captain Rex.
It was these five people who were caught by the artifact.  Each of these five were split into three. The present version of themselves, a future version, and a past version.
I bet you all can see where this is going.
Obi Wan’s past version is from Melida/Daan, two days before Cerasi died. The future is Old Ben, coming directly from his own beheading on the Death Star.
Anakin’s past is nine year old Anakin, hours before he would meet Qui Gon Jinn and Padme Amidala for the first time.  The future is Vader (I hope none of you are surprised), a month after he cut off Luke’s hand, and just after he fully realized that it meant his and Padme’s child had always lived.
Ahsoka’s past is three years old, just Found by Plo Koon. Her future is Rebels Era Ahsoka, aka Fulcrum, before she found out that Vader was Anakin.
Rex’s past was a physically four year old cadet, the only survivor of his batch (who were decommissioned because of their blonde hair mutation-Rex’s scores were so high that he was kept). The future is Old Rex, post Empire (I always headcanon that Rex survives to see the end of the Empire because of spite).
Cody’s past is ARC Trainer Cody, after the war had started but before he was assigned to be Obi Wan’s commander. His future had just deserted the Empire and doesn’t even know about the chips yet.
Frankly it likely would have been better if one or more of those people had arrived unconscious. Alas this was not to be.
Upon arriving, Little Ahsoka immediately started crying to the visible concern of both Cadet Rex and Child Anakin (both were concerned about punishment at the noise). Before anyone could even think to do anything, Vader pointed a dramatic finger at Old Ben and went ‘You’ and followed up with ‘Why didn’t you tell me my son lived?’
Old Ben caulked his head, ‘Even leaving aside I thought I had left you for dead for a decade, Darth, why would I trust you with your children after the march on the temple?’
Now Darth Vader rocked back on his heels, “Children?” and then a moment later “Leia Organa”
Old Ben sighed deeply, ‘Surely we can both agree that the fact you tortured your daughter does prove me right to keep them from you.’
‘I cut off Luke’s hand too’ Vader said absently
Old Ben just buried his face in his hands.
Now all of this was with the background tune of little Ahsoka still crying.  Former padawan Obi Wan is the one who reaches her first, and picks her up, smoothly herding Cadet Rex and Child Anakin behind him, away from the adults in the room.  Former Padawan Obi Wan is radiating a vicious, desperate protectiveness.
The movement caused Old Ben to look away from Vader at the rest of the room. His brow furrows. He looks back at Vader, “Do you remember this?”
Vader’s black mask turns to take in the rest of the room, his breath rasps somehow louder than the crying Ahsoka. At last he says ‘I do not’.
Post Empire Rex snorts and says, with an unimpressed deadpan ‘It is probably Force Shit’.
It takes another half hour to get any kind of semblance of calm and start to piece together what is going on. In spite of the fact that neither Old Ben, nor Vader want to admit who they are (for different reasons), no one in the room is actually stupid.
There is a moment when Rex is obligated to give Old Ben shit for the fact that he told Luke that Vader killed Anakin Skywalker, to which Ben responds ‘I was just passing on what he’ points at Vader, ‘told me’.
At another moment Fulcrum throws up her hands and shoes at Old Ben ‘I thought you were dead, again. Why didn’t you tell me you survived.’ Old Ben blinks at her, ‘Leaving aside I also thought you were dead, my dear, for the last decade I have had the single highest bounty in the empire’ Old Ben looks to Vader, who nods solemnly after a moment, ‘I would have thought that would be telling.’ Fulcrum actually pouts and mutters, ‘I thought that was a plan by the Rebellion to draw Vader’s attention.’
There is just…so much trauma in this room. Like it is possible that this group has the highest concentration of trauma in the entire galaxy.
Deserter Cody appears to be having multiple concurrent panic attacks, his face swinging between Old Ben and General Obi Wan almost constantly. Between the residual guilt of having his general shot at, the horror of the long held belief that Cody had caused Obi Wan’s death, the combination of relief and horror at the news of the chip in his head, the combination of relief and confusion at Old Ben (who is proof that Obi Wan Kenobi did not die on Utapau), the confusion of being confronted with two other versions of himself all culminates in the fact that Deserter Cody is going through some things.
ARC Trainer Cody is going through less, mainly horror at the chips. He is also very much a shiny as far as his reactions to the Jedi are concerned.  He is confused at being transported from Kamino, and does not know if he was transported to the future or they were tanspote to the past.  Frankly by all measures ARC trainer Cody is one of the most stable people in the room.
Current Cody is sure that his younger self should not meet any members of Ghost Company on the basis that he would never live it down. He is also facing the horror of the chips, confusion at the triplicatation that is going on. His horror is that much deeper than his younger self because he knows and cares for Obi Wan (Light CodyWan for the win).  He is also quite worried for his older self.
Melida/Daan Obi Wan is still not sure if he is willing to let any of the adults in the room near the other children. He is also doing slightly better with the fact that he grows up to be a general then the fact that he went back to the Jedi. He is also very much a child soldier with all the trauma therein.
Old Ben is not sure if this would be his heaven or his hell. On the one hand he could feel in the Force that he was before Order 66, all the lives he had felt snuff out were alive and well.  On the other hand, there were three Anakins in the room, at least one of which hated him. Also he thought getting beheaded would get him out of dealing with more Skywalker BS.
General Obi Wan Kenobi is more than a little horrified. His connection to the Unified Force means that he is perceiving echoes of Order 66 through the future counterparts AND the variety of trauma that exists in the younger counterparts simultaneously. In addition, both his younger self and Anakin’s younger self are each triggering unresolved trauma.
Padawan Commander Ahsoka Tano is staring at her older self in awe, when she was not staring at Vader in horror. She has also been herded to one corner of the room by Former Padawan Obi Wan, despite the fact that she is 16 to his 14.
Fulcrum makes the decision that she CANNOT deal with the Vader/Anakin revelation at this point and is blocking it out. Instead she is staring at Old Ben. And glancing at her younger self, wondering how much being Anakin’s padawan had damaged her view of the Order.
Little Ahsoka has calmed, now that she was securely held by a warmer than average Cadet Rex.
Post Empire Rex is so, so done. This was supposed to be retirement. Being dragged back to the clone wars is not retirement. It was nice to see Fulcrum again though.
Cadet Rex is the definition of stress. He is not sure what test is going on, nor who these new trainers were but he would not fail.
Captain Rex is not sure what to do with the proof that he would survive the war.  Nor the fate of his general as he stares at the tall black clad being.
Darth Vader, in addition to all the issues he always carries, is looking at his younger self covetously. Had he had a way he would have tried to possess his younger self, who has everything he wants. At the same time he wants to sit this younger version down and tell him exactly how to avoid everything that Vader is (It should be noted that Vader has no idea how to avoid all that Vader is). He is also boiling angry at every version of Obi Wan, though distantly looks at the little angry version and wonders if this was a way to get his brother back.  The knowledge of Luke’s survival is drawing him back toward the single selfless thing he has done in decades, but he is still very much a Sith.
Child Anakin is deeply confused and frankly ecstatic that he hasn’t blown up yet. It is very clear they are not on Tatooine and nowhere near Watto. He is also not impressed that he somehow escaped slavery only to become enslaved again (in his perception Vader is also chip controlled and thus enslaved).
General Anakin Skywalker is freaked out by Vader, who is radiating a weird greed at him, and also by the implications of everything the future people have said. He is also heartbroken over Palpatine being evil (even Vader agrees, in his own way, that Palpatine is evil). Everything strikes deep enough that Anakin actually decided he needed a therapist (There is something about the casual way that Vader talks about torturing Anakin and Padme’s children that cements that decision).
It turns out that the Artifact is the entire temple, so removing it is not feasible.
Like in the original idea, I am not sure if the past and future versions find themselves eventually returning to their own times, or if they are stuck in the present. Though there is something that is amusing about the Jedi now having to deal with three of each of these five people, one of which is a Sith. Particularly since Vader both wants to kill them all and wants to protect them all (to prevent Anakin’s Fall).
It does change so many things though.

I already mentioned these to @commander-sunshine but here are some of my head canons about A-17's favorite batch, because I am still thinking about them
I will start with the oldest of the batch:
Wolffe: Wolffe has that protective shabuir aura older siblings have. He is logical, has a hardshell and is sassy af. He wants to do the right thing at all times and perhaps is afraid of failures (especially after he lost his pack). As a cadet he was that one kid, who acted older and tougher than they were. He would try to be the brother to look up to. Tho wolffe is born sassy. It’s very easy to get under his skin and his vod'ike all respect and love to tease him with the simplest things. He can be an asshole if he wants to, which is almost every time when his vod'ike decide to be shitheads. His sense of humor is probably a little weird but at the same time very hilarious
Next is Fox: Fox is Wolffe’s twin. He is only a few milliseconds younger than him, which is why Fox hates it so much when Wolffe plays the 'I-am-the-older-twin'-card. Much like Wolffe, Fox is very protective of his brothers and shows it in weird ways since both aren’t good expressing their feelings. They both would rather bottle their feelings up than to burden anyone. Tho while Wolffe is more straightforward and rational, Fox is more sneaky and intuitive. That’s why the two argue almost 24/7. They are just too similar and yet so different. Also never anger Fox. As a cadet he bit a lot of brothers and kicked their shebs during sparring. In my head canon he was one of the best, if not the best, which is why he became the commander of the coruscant guard, directly serving the chancellor. His humor tho was probably dark since his early ages thanks to his perception and intuition
Ponds is the true middle child: He is always overlooked, despite him trying his best at all times. He is one of the kindest souls and always honest and true to himself. Thanks to him being overlooked tho, he can get away with a loooot of shit. He probably played so many pranks but no one ever suspected him. He is that sibling to take responsibility and lead when no one else will. Most of the vod'ike would probably go to him to confess anything, since wolffe and fox tend to be more… unhinged with their problem solving. Ponds humor probably contains a lot of word plays and puns. He doesn’t try to be funny tho
Now Bly: Bly is similar to Ponds but leans towards the younger brother category. He too is sometimes overlooked/ overshadowed by his siblings but not as bad as Ponds. If Bly plays pranks everyone will know that it was him. I think as a cadet Bly was very sensible and naive. He would make a lot of bets and end up losing so much, that Fox and his intuition would need to come to the rescue and het him back to the winning end. Bly is very caring and empathetic. His humor is kinda dorky and he sometimes ends up saying the wrong things despite his good intentions
And the youngest of the batch is Cody: Yes Cody is very responsible, tough and proud… but underneath all that… Cody is… he just has that little-shit energy. He plays and acts big, he is very talented and skilled in anything he does, but oh god that man was such a feral trouble maker as a cadet. Cody is so kriffing competitive he would challenge anyone walking past him. Most of the time he would challenge Fox. I think Cody and Fox had a special bond. They are both very competitive and see things in a similar ways. They just have mutual understandings of any situation. (This is also the reason why I think that Cody would have often visited Fox after order 66. They were both working for the empire and Cody slowly came to realize what Fox must have gone trough. I think Fox's death was an additional reason to go awol and find obi-wan)
Anyway Cody was an extreme brat, yet very caring and gentle when he saw someone in need of compassion. He always wanted to be an older brother and teach and help others.
With Rex he got that: Rex is the babiest baby of the batch. He is literally the batches favorite and no one tries to even hide it. Rex got all the cuddle and all the love his batch had to offer. Anyone who treated Rex like a defect because of his blonde hair… well lets say they all ended up in a medbay. Tho Rex was a little shit too. Not like Cody, but still a little shit. Rex would sometimes do the craziest things, but did he ever got punished for them? No. Did Cody get blamed for his chaos? Yes absolutely.
Rex and Cody were always close. They would prank their ori'vode nearly everyday and never did anyone blame kyute little Rex. Rex is also the only one who can stop any of their batchmates temper tantrums. Yet he likes to watch the chaos that are his brothers.
Bonus:

Note
so various moments of STS frequently bounce around in my head but tonight it's Cody's elevator breakdown when Helix tells him how Stitch took the 'shiny' comment. and how he knew to say 'i wouldn't trade you /now/ for anything'. and how he said 'just being stitch is plenty fine too' and thinking about cody having been reconditioned himself. and. thinking about how obi-wan and the medic squad would react if they found out. needle realizing /marshall commander fucking cody/ is a 'recon' too. AHHH
alright you asked for it-
kamino does not have room for gentle things.
twig does not know this, and fox hates him a little bit for it.
twig is soft. fox catches him smuggling medical supplies out onto the catwalks to tend to a gull with a crooked wing. he helps him, the first time, and twig beams at him and says see?
fox goes back out later that night. the bird does not know to be afraid of him. fox wonders how often twig had gone out before, right before he snaps its neck.
(you cannot be soft on kamino.)
the gull is gone, he tells twig. it must've flown away.
twig is a crier. fox hits him. it only makes him cry harder.
stop it, he hisses- stop it, stop it, stop it-
it works. twig does not smuggle supplies again.
(you cannot be weak on kamino.)
twig is kind. kind in a way fox is not and never wants to be.
fox pins another cadet in a spar and tells him to yield-
"yield," the kid repeats, and hits him.
fox tightens his grip, hissing- the long-necks are watching always watching-
"give up," he says.
the kid's too cocky, too cocky, who's he to tell him to give up-
then twig is hauling him up and backwards and his "back off!" is just
a bit
too
loud.
fox does not look up.
the kid he'd pinned is crying.
fox does not look up.
twig kneels next to the crier. squeezes his hand. smiles, nice and soothing.
fox does not look up.
he can feel the eyes on them.
(you cannot be kind on kamino.)
the empty boy returns to them at 22:00 hours.
fox coaxes him into his own bunk. the first night is always dangerous. he points to the bucket that bly, wordless, had placed next to the mattress.
"if you need to vomit," he instructs not-twig-anymore, "you aim there."
"yes," 2224 says.
"you cannot be kind."
"fox," ponds whispers, from the bunk above them.
fox ignores him. he curls his fingers around twig's 2224's forearm and squeezes until he's sure he'll leave bruises.
"you cannot be kind," he repeats. "do you understand?"
"yes."
"good," fox says, satisfied. and then, because it is important, and because he means it- "then i would not trade you now for anything."
(kindness does not trade well, on kamino.)

Star Wars Rant - Take 2!
Guys. Guys, I’m sorry. I had a thought on the way to work today… and now I’m going to force it upon all of you, too, so that at least I won’t suffer alone.
Kaminoans do not value emotion. They value perfection. In fact, the social demand for genetic perfection is what led them to cloning and thus gave us our lovely copy/ paste cornucopia of delicious potential for OCs, wartime angst, and brotherly shenanigans. We know each clone ended up developing a unique personality even as cadets, but imagine the first batches. They didn’t have older clones to look up to, to learn that becoming their own person was okay. They had asshole mercenaries, the legendary original source for their DNA, and, most abundantly, the Kaminoans to raise them.
Tumblr media
Children learn through mimicry. They see their guardians interact with the world, and that’s the initial outline for who they become. If they spent most of their time around the Kaminoans, that means they would likely view emotions as a detriment, with some interplay offsetting that from Jango and the mercs.
Tumblr media
Fast-forward a couple generations to the discovery and implementation of said clones, during which time the Kaminoans have likely done away with anyone who strayed too far from their ideal soldier, furthering the general understanding that emotions are dangerous and something to be stifled. Then, suddenly, here are these Jedi Generals who fall all over the emotional spectrum! Shaak Ti shows them compassion. Yoda shows them acceptance (and chaos, let’s be real). Anakin shows them fun (also chaos. So much chaos). Obi Wan, the biggest flirt in the damn galaxy, just completely upends whatever textbook definition of romance may have been briefly taught to “prepare” them as cadets.
Tumblr media
What I’m really getting at, though, is that clones were brought up without love. They were created by a race that pretty much bred out any tendency toward affection, trained by a man who regarded them as lesser copies of himself, and *decommissioned* if they displayed too much independence (I know there are caveats to this, such as Alpha-17 and the CCs, but they had much less patience for the CTs). And here are these Jedi who love in such a blindingly open and overwhelming way. How do they cope with that? How do they not become insanely loyal to these kind, generous beings that don’t treat them like numbers for the first time in their lives??
Tumblr media
And then there’s the other side: the squads that have the misfortune of being paired with Jedi less prone to  that innate goodness, the squads trapped with Krell and Ki-Adi-Mundi. They never get the chance to feel valued as anything other than a tool. They may have heard the word “love” but would never be allowed to experience it, platonic or otherwise…
Tumblr media
I don’t have any grand ending thoughts here beyond the absolute tragedy that those men suffered, but I will say, it does tempt me with some utterly angsty and beautiful thoughts for emotionally crippled clone OCs and emotionally traumatized reader OCs accidentally find each other through various whumpee ways… be a shame if someone was inspired by this and tagged me in whatever may or may no come of it...

Waxer*Boil Month Week 2: Huddling for Warmth/Safety
Boil doesn't like getting left behind while Waxer is out on missions and likes it even less when he is called to Cody's room without hearing back from Waxer after that mission has ended. Thankfully the explanation isn't as bad as he feared and is something he can help with.
Written for @waxerboilmonth Find it on AO3 here.
Boil tried hard to not make it obvious that his hands were shaking as he hurried to Cody’s private quarters where Cody and the General were waiting for him. The last mission had only required a small team so Waxer’s squad had gone while Boil and his men had stayed. It was always hard, watching Waxer leave, not knowing when or if he would return this time. The fact they had both survived this long was already a miracle.
“Sirs, you asked to see me?” he asked, opening the door with a small knock. He had watched the solemn way Waxer’s boys had come back to their bunks. Normally, Waxer sent him a message as they were leaving and when they returned. This time, his com line had been silent. He didn’t want to believe it, but he had a feeling he knew why he was being called in. He was just grateful Obi-Wan and Cody were telling him in private.
“Oh thank the force! Cody, Boil’s here. Come in, he won’t stop crying and you’re the one that’s usually closest to him,” Obi-Wan said, grabbing Boil by the arm and basically dragging him into the room.
It was not what Boil expected. Instead, he found Cody on his knees looking for all the world like he was trying to lure a tooka out from under his bed. Hearing Obi-Wan, Cody tried to get up and knocked his head on the bunk with a little yelp.
“Oh good. Boil, Waxer crawled under the bed and won’t come out or stop crying. We need you to calm him down and get him out.” Cody said, rubbing his head where he had hit it.
Boil frowned. There wasn’t a ton of space under the bed and he knew that a fully armored trooper wouldn’t be able to fit. “Did he get turned into a tooka?” was out of his mouth before he could stop himself and he felt his cheeks heating as Cody grinned and the General chuckled.
“Not quite,” Obi-Wan admitted with a shrug, “We found the artifact we were asked to retrieve but Ventress arrived at the same time we did. While Cody and I kept her busy, Waxer snuck up and grabbed the small idol, but it activated. and there was a flash of light before… well.. He shrunk,”
“He looks and acts like a second year cadet again or a four year old nat-born,” Cody sighed while gesturing to the bed, “We had to abandon his armor since it was too large, but Obi-Wan wrapped him in his outer robes and we all retreated. Once we got in, he immediately hid under my bunk and won’t come out.”
Boil swallowed hard. He knew what a second year cadet looked like. Waxer wouldn’t actually be any cuter than any other cadet that age but… the idea of it sounded really adorable in his mind.
“Does he still have his memories? We didn’t know each other at that age so he might not trust me if he doesn’t. I’d be a stranger to him, too,” he pointed out.
Obi-Wan shrugged in response. “I honestly don’t know but we decided it was worth having you try. Hopefully, this will be a temporary state and will wear off on its own, but I already contacted Madame Nu to see if she or her archivists can find any more information on reversing it. If not..” Obi-Wan said and Boil nodded, finally kneeling down to peek under the bed.
A hurt sound escaped his lips at the adorable sight awaiting him. It was worse than he thought. Waxer was still bald though his facial hair was gone now and his eyes were red and puffy from crying. He was wrapped so completely in Obi-Wan’s robes that it was like a blanket around him.
“Hey Wax, you remember me? It’s your friend Boil. It’s okay if you don’t remember but I want you to know, it’s safe here. No one is going to hurt you. We just want to help,” he murmured softly. Remembering how Waxer helped him when he was upset, he didn’t try to reach out immediately. He just waited, lying on his belly on the floor, for Waxer to make a choice.
Waxer sniffled. “B-Boil? Why… Why am I so small?” he whimpered and Boil relaxed a little—Waxer seemed to remember him, at least.
“Force crap,” Boil hummed, making Waxer give a surprised giggle at the curse word. It seemed he remembered Boil but he was definitely not himself. Noticing that he was trembling, Boil finally offered a hand.
“I know you get cold easily. Will you come out and move to the top of the bed? We can wrap you up in blankets and it will be much warmer than only wearing the General’s robes,” he offered but didn’t try to force him.
“Can I cuddle you?” Waxer asked, eyes wide, and there was no way even the Sith would have been able to deny a request like that, so obviously Boil melted.
“Of course. Cody will get you some clothes and we’ll both steal his bunk since it’s bigger than what we have in our rooms. We’ll cuddle as long as you need,” he promised, feeling relieved as Waxer finally leaned forward and took Boil’s hand, letting himself be helped out from under the bed.
Obi-Wan and Cody had moved to the other side of the room to give them some space, and Boil noticed that Obi-Wan had stepped up to the door and was talking to someone outside of it- likely to get the cadet uniform for Waxer.
Waxer immediately tried to use Boil as a shield so the other pair couldn’t see him. “Why are you so afraid of Commander Cody and the General?” Boil asked curiously. It wasn’t like Waxer to be so distrusting.
“It was loud and they were shouting so much and then we got here and it was cold and there were so many people!” he whined softly and Boil wrapped an arm around him, letting him hide his face in Boil’s shoulder. Boil was in his grays since he hadn’t been scheduled for duty any time soon, so at least there wasn’t any armor in the way.
Cody stepped forward, “Here, we’ll go to Obi-Wan’s room for now so he can have some space. We’re sorry for scaring you Waxer. We’ll work on getting you back to yourself soon.” he announced, offering Boil the cadet blues. Then Cody and Obi-Wan were gone and Boil relaxed a little before focusing on the little Waxer burrowing himself into Boil’s shirt and trembling slightly.
“Come on, you’ll be warmer once you’re dressed. Then we can sit on the bed instead of the floor,” he said, gently pushing Waxer off of him so he could stand and guide him to the attached fresher that was a perk of Cody’s Commander status. It was tiny, but it allowed him to clean the dirt off of his tiny ARF partner before helping him into his clothes.
Waxer was surprisingly quiet through the whole thing, which felt wrong since Boil was usually the quiet one and Waxer usually didn’t know how to stop blabbering, but he was clearly still scared and working through things.
“Come here,” Boil hummed once they got back to the bed. He took all of Cody’s blankets and wrapped them around Waxer so only his eyes could be seen peeking out from the mound. The little giggle warmed his heart even while Boil worried about how long Waxer was going to be stuck like this.
Waxer’s pout was almost audible as he stared at Boil “But now I can’t snuggle with you and you’re my best friend, so we have to snuggle. I always sleep better when we do.” he pointed out.
Boil’s lips twitched up into a small smirk “Sure we can. Like this,” he said and wrapped himself around the whole blanket bundle, which rewarded him with even more little giggles.
“I guess that’s okay, but I won’t be able to hear your heart beating or feel you breathing and know you’re okay. My brain feels all mushy right now but I remember… I remember that I don’t remember people I should, and that I miss them, and I don’t want to miss you, too,” Waxer murmured after a little bit.
Boil frowned. “I’m not going anywhere. You don’t need to miss me, Wax,” he said, but he carefully freed Waxer’s head from the blankets so he could rest it against Boil’s chest.
That seemed to be the last thing Waxer needed to be able to fall asleep with a little yawn.
Boil just held him close, making sure he felt warm and safe, and eventually Waxer’s soft breathing lulled him to sleep as well.

Clone Unit Alpha-110 “Kit”
From the logbooks of Nala Se Scientist #1401— Lead Manager of the Advanced Mutations Projects.
Scientific Ministry has decided to elevate my position to Lead Manager of the Advanced Mutations Projects. This promotion has afforded me an opportunity to access the genetic codebook of my peers, without sacrificing my own codes. Some have been resistant, but the ministry has been insistent, especially as the war drew to a close. At the time, we were unaware of any future where production of the Clones would be scaled back so significantly. Without livable tissue from the Fett Prime Donor, we have been forced to push the bounds of our abilities to clone further. At this time, we have been forced to repair genetic gaps with our older units. Ideally, Alpha-01, known as “Boba Fett,” would be the next best choice. However, he remains in custody with the Republic, and we are unable to secure access to the subject. Obviously, Alpha-00, known as “Omega,” candidacy as a donor subject remains inviable due to unit’s extreme distance from the agreed upon genetic template for our base model Fett Clone. Alpha-class Clones still remain our next best choice. Reviews of successful A-units narrowed one of our prime candidates down to unit A-77. Created by Ulni Drayris (Scientist #1033), developed the A-77-X iterative Template in pursuit of similar traits as I pursued for the Alpha-00 template.
(See attached notes for further comparisons between Project A-00-X and A-77-X.)
Project A-00-X was further used in the development of other projects. (Review Project A-00-75-XX, -13, -89-03) Similarly, Project A-77-X has been the progenitive temple used with several other projects and units, some of whom have been successful operatives in the field. (Review Units #01-1010, #27-5555)
NOTE: Unit #27-5555 has been terminated for classified reasons. Though, I protest the unit’s reclassification as a failure, as the subject showed impressive intellectual skills and remained true to the Clone’s operative base.
Additionally, our stock of Alpha-class units have been nearly depleted, same as our field-deployed Advanced Recon Commando. With fewer and fewer units derivative units made from the codes used for our Alpha-units, we have seen critical drops in suitable candidates for our ARC Cadet Corps. The commandant of our Clone Cadet Corps, Unit A-17, has informed me and the ministry that is tactically ill-advised; I have decided to put my weight behind his protests to the Ministry’s complacence on this matter. With this all these concerns in mind and my new liberty as the lead scientist of the AMP Department, I have opened up Project A-00-100-X.
FOLLOW-UP #1:
As of this log, Ulni Drayris has worked with me on Project A-00-100-X. Our first twenty units are gestating at this time, and the genetic code sequences look very promising.
Note: I have extended Unit A-00’s lab duties, and she has been my assistant on this project. This is an excellent opportunity to prove the intellectual viability of the Alpha subjects. To further her education, I have also assigned her duties in the matter of human reproduction and infancy. Her drive for self-education continues to please me, and I will encourage her curiosity. Hopefully, this will prove to the Ministry further application of human Clones—I find them to be quite fascinating and curious.
FOLLOW-UP #2.1:
Project Unit A-00-100-14 appears to be the most promising product of the project. Project Unit A-00-100-10 unfortunately does not appear to be as promising; it is exhibiting the same signs our early Alpha-class and Production units exhibited. Omega has informed me that humans call this a “failure to thrive.” Most unfortunate.
Personal Note: I confess… distressing to witness so close at hand. The sounds are truly… disturbing.
FOLLOW-UP #2.2.1:
Curiously, Commandant Alpha-17 has elected to take custody of Project Unit A-00-100-10. The infant subject is responding to the additional human care and exposure. I have convinced the ministry to allow this to expand our observation
Personal Note: It is quite pleasant to observe Omega express the innate drive to pass knowledge onto others as she instructs Alpha-17 in the means of care for a human infant. Though Seventeen would have never been considered for one of our nursery Clones to care for the infants, his signature determination has been redirected towards this endeavor. Fascinating.
FOLLOW-UP #2.2.2:
Project Unit A-00-100-14 has been redesignated to Alpha-114; it is currently in quarantine in my personal laboratory. Much to the surprise of many, Project Unit A-00-100-10 has managed to survived to its third month. Though, based on the behavioral history of Units #01-1010, this should not have been a surprise to anyone, including myself. Now that the infant has survived to this critical stage and even though we have elected to delay the infant’s immune system replacement due to concerns over survival probabilities, it has been given the designation Alpha-110.
FOLLOW-UP #2.2.2:
Alpha-17 has decided to unofficially name Alpha-110 “Kit,” which is a reference to what Alpha-17 believes are traits shared between Alpha-110 and Unit #01-1010’s temperament. A “kit” is the name for an infant fox-vulpes.
Personal Note: I do concur with Seventeen that Kit is tenacious, even if still remarkably small.
————————————————————————
Log Entry:
Project Unit A-00-75-67 has been killed in the line of duty. NOTE: This unit has always been referenced as other designations in past logs.
(See A-67, CC-7567)
Personal Note: This is highly unfortunate.
————————————————————————
Log Entry:
Alpha-00 has been taken by experimental Clone Unit #99.
————————————————————————
Log Entry:
Alpha-17 has gone AWOL and taken Alpha-110 with him.
Personal Note 1: I am alone now.
Personal Note 2: I do still have Alpha-114, though he refuses to talk.
In Summary: Alpha-77 and Fox are just about twins, just... with a time delay. Alpha-110 is a late-made little Clone that nearly dies in infancy, but Alpha-17 adopts the skrunky fella.
But this is Kit.
This is based on an amalgamation of several AU versions. Kit’s personality stays the same. 100% skrunky.

Obi-wan, on temple shore leave: And what of young Anakin?
Mace, rubbing his temples with a sigh: Don't get me started..
Yoda: Spends much time in the Senate young Anakin does. Requested by the Chancellor the visits were.
Mace: we have tried to make them less common, but Anakin enjoys the visits and you know we can't stop them.
***Meanwhile***
Anakin: and then he was like 'it was nice seeing you Anakin, and remember, if you need anything just ask' he's so weird!
Lucky: I know, and everyone thinks he's so nice! He's got the nat borns completely fooled.
Anakin: he's got me fooled too, like, other me. Padme says that they're good friends, it's really weird.
'Sighter: if you don't like him why do you still visit him? You're pretty much a cadet can't you get the Jedi say you can't visit anymore?
Anakin: maybe... But I don't want anyone to get in trouble, masters get weird when you cross them. And I wanna know what he wants with me, maybe then I can convince other me that he's bad news.... And also if I stop visiting the Chancellor then I'll barely ever get to come over here, and I can't visit you guys, and I like it over here.

Writing that fic I made a post about like at least a year ago where Dooku and Obi-Wan are both deaged at the exact same time and Dooku is back to normal while Obi-Wan is in his Melida|Daan era and both feral and clingy (he WOULD likely be clinging to Dooku more than Cody but they told him they’re not gonna let him be alone with Dooku yet so Cody who’s been absolutely doting on him since it all started is the next best option) and a few things happened in this fic that I didn’t expect but I’m obsessed with 1: three clone ocs got caught in the deaging blast with Obi (Crys is an OC right? He’s sorta one of those placement OCs like Helix, right? So it counts. Maybe we should call that FC for fan character… idk) and so Waxer and Boil only avoided babying Obi by boon of them having three cadets to adopt Right There lol. And 2: Obi tried to stand up (and I think I made this cause I was like ‘he needs to have trouble running or he’s gonna dart off and they’ll have to chase her feral ass’ lmao) and Cody panicked and noticed his leg is mega swollen around the ankle and Obi likely can’t walk on it and he asks if he has other injuries and Obi-Wan sorta just gets really quiet for a moment and lists off a few but HE ENDED THE LIST WITH ‘it’s sorta painful to sit’ CODY IS NOW IN PROTECTIVE MANDALORIAN BUIR MODE HES ABOUT TO BEAT AOMEONES ASS OH GOD
And. Yeah. It was what. What you might think (No don’t make me write those words out I won’t even write it in the fic okay I’m skirting all my triggers like a figure skater deal with it) and so. Yeah. There are about to be a lot of people angry with Qui-Gon Jinn very soon.
Normally. I like to forgive and forget. He’s an asshole but that little boy was attached to him by the time he was 20 okay they were very much parent and child by that point and I move on from that much like Obi does, but unfortunately, the last memories Obi will have of Qui will be him cutting his braid and taking his saber and that’s Not Right and Dooku even says so and that it’s horrible that his Padawan, his SON did that to his grandbaby he is. In fact. Pissed. And will be having words with his ghost soon.
Anyways. Cody is about to murder someone and I feel like the shock of realizing what Qui did to Obi-Wan is gonna fuck Anakin up and drive him closer to Dooku and the Jedi who knew Qui around that time instead of further towards Palpatine so they can do some damage control.

Craziest hcs for commander cody or hcs no one would expect for him please & much thankyouness🧡
Craziest headcanons for Commander Cody (or hcs no one would ever expect) lmaoooo I don’t know if these are crazy but they’re what I got
Commander Cody is absolutely the funniest Commander there is
Going from that, it’s because he’s unhinged. Everyone would expect it to be Wolffe with his teeth, Bly with his lovesick tendencies or even Fox with his deadpan humor, but Between having to deal with Obi-Wan “I’m going to flirt with every enemy I have and lose my lightsaber” Kenobi and Anakin “violence mwahahahha” Skywalker, Cody had to compensate
Alongside that, he was Obi-Wan’s Commander when Anakin was still a Padawan so at that point, it was either babysit Anakin or be just as unhinged to pull him back
Anakin still can never get anything past Cody
His raised eyebrow has Anakin spilling secrets faster than anything Obi-Wan ever could have done
Cody hates tea. He hates it with a passion and it’s only because he’s friends with Obi-Wan that he doesn’t automatically spit it out
That being said, since Anakin also hates tea, whenever Cody thinks Anakin needs a punishment, he’ll just give him tea and raise an eyebrow
He still does it even when Anakin is a General
Cody started kicking droids when he had to save Obi-Wan from an attack and he had no blasters and a broken hand
It was worth it
Anakin jokes that he was part droid since it never seemed to hurt him and he replied back with “I mean you could with your robotic arm”
Obi-Wan had to discourage Anakin from punching droids
Cody eggs him on when Obi-Wan isn’t looking
Cody knew about Padme and Anakin’s secret marriage within the first week he met Anakin
He let Anakin know with a “I hope you treat her well” when Anakin finished his knighting trials
Cody made sure that Rex was put Captain of the 501st because he knew Anakin would watch his back
Also he wanted to see how long it would take for Rex to break out of the fold of not being good enough because of his blonde hair
Cody once put itching powder in Wolffe’s blacks when he got back from the Malevolence incident to distract him and get him out of his room
It worked
Cody had a black eye for two weeks
Wolffe thanked him later in the war for it because he didn’t know if he would have continued on or tried to March on with his Pack
Ponds tried to explain to Mace Cody’s humor only for the man to say “I see”
Cody made sure to never joke around Mace so that Ponds would seem crazy by his General
He ended up breaking that silent dare when Boba tried to attack Mace
He scooped up the cadet (Boba’s not a cadet but he’s the size of one so Cody doesn’t think it matters all that much) and said “sorry cadet but we have a height restriction. No one shorter than 4 feet is allowed near a Jedi”
Boba hisses like a cat at him and tries to scratch him
“I’m older than you!”
“I’m taller than you.”
He ended up bringing Boba on the ship to avoid the Chancellor from putting him on trial
Boba didn’t appreciate it until Cody gave him a gun and took him on a “specs” mission
It wasn’t a real mission but Cody wasn’t gonna tell Boba that
“Shoot those droids and well leave when you’re not angry anymore”
They didn’t leave till 6 hours later
Boba tried to run away 12 times during his stay with Cody and Cody caught him all 12 times
The 13 time, Cody just gave him a blaster and said the 212th will be there for him if he needs it
Boba didn’t leave despite the opening
He now hangs in the vents and protects the ship when they’re on the ground
Cody owns a handmade slingshot
He uses it to pelt Rex and other clones when he’s bored or annoyed at them
He used it once on Fox and Fox got him back with his own slingshot
He once stole one boot from each of his batchmates at the beginning of the war after they got their paint on it
He wears them when he feels nostalgic
He stole one of Rex’ when he become Captain of 501st
He used to jump out of ships when Anakin was a Padawan to help teach him to catch him before he would splat on the ground
This is why Anakin does it to Rex because he thought since Rex is close to Cody, he wouldn’t mind
Rex does mind
A lot
He never figured out that Cody was the one to ingrain this habit in Anakin
Cody would still jump out of ships if the 212th and the 501st work together
Cody can do a handstand and can even balance on one hand
He believes this to be his greatest achievement
Cody likes to window shop
It’s inconvenient to do when they are at war but if there’s a shop nearby where the 212th is stationed, he’ll get souvenirs for his batchmates
Cody does not get paid yet he still somehow has credits
This is because he made a deal with Hondo to give him credits and he’ll tell him where the best rum is
This is why Hondo kidnaps Obi-Wan a lot
When Cody heard about Obi-Wan “dying”, he didn’t believe it and just told Rex to tell him when Obi-Wan is back - after all, it was his shore leave
The first time Cody met the Bad Batch was on Kamino and it was on complete accident
He ran into them with Nala Se and from their face, he could only assume that she was about to decom them
He stepped in
She let him train them for two weeks to improve their scores and during that time, he got them to work as a team but most importantly, to realize that they are vod as well and vod stick together
He gave them Fox’ and his own personal comm number in case they ever needed anything
He also makes sure to include them in his souvenir gift list
(He’s also the reason Crosshair is a Swiftie skjskjskj - I’m sorry I had to add that in)
He considers Echo and Fives his little cousins due to Rex adopting them and spoils them whenever he sees them
Meaning he tells them all the best prank ideas and covers for them and gives them any item they ask for when they meet
He is the reason they got away with dying Rex’ hair blue
As well as Anakin’s
And Obi-Wan’s
But he’s too smart for them and switched their bottles with his and they ended up accidentally dying their own hair when they targeted him
Cody will barge into Fox’ office randomly when he’s on shore leave and forcibly get Fox to rest
He’ll bribe the other Commanders with alcohol when he comes
Thorn is an expensive Vod though and demands more than alcohol
He is the reason Cody had to start a little black market within the GAR
All that just to spend time with Fox
It’s worth it every time
Cody once tried to matchmake Bly and Aayla at the start of the war because he couldn’t stand their lovesick looks
Turns out they have been dating since Bly got assigned to her and they just are lovesick with each other
Cody almost lost his lunch when he realized
Cody likes to check up on his batchmates when he can
And his batchmates’ Generals
And his batchmates’ General’s Padawan
This is how he was able to talk to Barriss before she did anything risky
He got Gree involved and they got her reassigned after being made a knight to a post where she can help clone medics with civilians and Vod
It wasn’t much but it was enough for her to feel like she is doing something right
He tries to check up on her when he can though Gree is the one she mainly talks to
Cody once convinced his batchmates to eat a bug after Anakin kept doing it as a Padawan
Cody also once drugged Obi-Wan when he stayed up a consistent 78 hours on a campaign
Cody has a count of how many times Obi-Wan has lost his lightsaber and his robes and has flirted with the enemy
Cody once punched Quinlan Vos in the stomach because the Jedi snuck up on him
Obi-Wan laughed
Quinlan got him back when he accidentally dropped one of Cody’s bottles of rum for Hondo
They had a prank war for a solid 7 months before Fox shut it down because he got caught in one of Cody’s brilliant ideas
On the bright side, it revealed Palpatine as a Sith
On the down side, he ended up losing control to the chip and being knocked into a coma for 4 months to finally gain back control
Yea that’s all I have ( @here-comes-the-moose if you don’t mind, i borrowed your HC of Crosshair being a Swiftie and mentioned it here)
Feel free to add your own if you want

Dust & Ashanii having to sit and do math hw 😂
Fun fact: Math was always my worst subject—and I hated it more because my parents always signed me up for extracurricular math classes. Maybe Cody should threaten to sign them up for math class next time they be mischievous little gremlins 🤭
Mm. Math. I fell behind in elementary school, when I was like 7, and I stayed fallen behind until I was, like, 11 and was failing math. I'm still so bad at it. I don't know my times tables at all. Multiplying big numbers is easier than multiplying small numbers.
And then, of course, I strongly suspect that I have dyscalculia. One of the biggest signs is a hard time with pattern recognition (i always had to guess when pattern questions were on math tests), difficulty with word problems (I can't turn words into numbers. I just can't.) Reading an analogue clock (I can, but it's not instantly. It takes me about 15 seconds) and differentiating left and right (my husband thinks it's funny, but I have to use my hand to determine which way is left, it's why gps is a life saver.)
ANYWAY
"So, you think that this planet is a good one?" Master Windu asks over the holo as his daze darts between Obi-Wan and Ahsoka and then back again. "I do." Ahsoka agrees, "The force feels weird here in some places, but I think that might actually help us hide." Mace nods slowly, "And your padawan, what does she think?" "She's fine." Ahsoka replies absently. Blue glances at his General, and then clears his throat, drawing the attention of the council, "And by that, she means that the planet can be confusing to young Force Users. Ashanii got lost and wasn't able to use the force to find her way back." "That's concerning-" Mace murmurs, "And she's alright?" "She is now. We pulled a cadet around the same age out here, they're bonding. Hopefully it'll keep her out of trouble while she adjusts." Blue folds his arms, "Other than that, it is a good planet, we just need to mesh the kids together." "How do you mean, Captain?" General Koon asks. "Look, I get that you force types are used to using the Force for every little thing. But it makes you utterly incapable of surviving when you can't use it. Our Cadets can help the kids adapt until they adapt to the planet." "Hm...I think it's a good idea." Depa muses thoughtfully as she taps her lower lip with her knuckles, "We can start merging the cadets with the younglings here, before we move there-" "Send the corps to you, we shall." Master Yoda says, "Begin building shelters, they will." And that's the end of it. The Jedi now have a new base of operations while they fight the war.

Rexwalker being Ahsoka's parents:
- Anakin and Rex make a list of every essential they need for Ahsoka for whenever the item(s) start to run low. If they have a little left over in their military budget they get her a little treat or something she likes/would like. One of them will even go without something of their own just to get that little extra to give to her. Anything to make their padawan smile.
- Anakin's paranoia sometimes leads him to take Ahsoka's training and studies a little too seriously and Rex has to step in to stop it. He reminds his Jedi that she's only a kid and that, yes, they won't always be there to help but Anakin also won't get anywhere by pushing her to the brink.
- When they go to Kamino Rex always drops Ahsoka with the cadet classes in her age bracket. Anakin does the same thing by trying to schedule padawan meets during their Temple time. They're adamant she make friends her own age.
- Anakin taught Rex some lullabies his mother used to sing to him as a way to help the captain sooth himself after a long and difficult battle. Rex uses that same method with Ahsoka when she first comes to them sobbing her eyes out after a nightmare. It becomes a little nighttime tradition between the three. They'll tuck her into bed, turn off the lights and hum Shmi's lullabies until she falls asleep.
- "Little'un, go to your quarters I want to have a word with your master." It's a phrase Ahsoka has heard a small handful of times but enough to know it means Skyguy is going to be sleeping in her room for a bit and she'll be sleeping in his.
- They pick her up together from her Temple classes when they're on leave. It's not unusual as most clones and their Jedi do it too.
- Cody and Obi-Wan look after Ahsoka when Rex and Anakin have to go somewhere that's a bit too risky for her. (Or sometimes they drop her off with Wolffe and Plo just so they can catch a break.)
- Ahsoka argues a lot more with Anakin than Rex. With the captain she actually listens to him when he tells her to do something. Only a few times did she argue with Rex and of those times he was always right.
- Rex can make things appear when Anakin and Ahsoka have looked for them several times.
- When Ahsoka gets sick Anakin makes his mother's soup as Rex sits with her and comforts her.
- Ahsoka thinks they're so lovey-dovey. The way Anakin spins Rex around, peppering kisses all over the captain's cheeks as he laughs behind his hand. Or how Rex hides Anakin's lightsaber until he gets a kiss to which her master will always oblige, but the captain must get on his tiptoes to receive it. They talk in low voices and stand too close for it not to go unnoticed. They kiss each other in goodbye and hold each other in hello, relief that they survived another day. They hold hands under tables and during missions where it's just the 501st. They're so grossly in love with each other. But that's not a bad thing. Ahsoka can feel their love's warmth in every hug, lullaby and forehead kiss. It surrounds her like a blanket, comfortable and safe.
