Yesssss love this movie!!
Just watched Abigail and it’s kind of a sleeper hit. At least for me. The movie manages to combine the best kinds of suspense you get in both horror and heist films and even manages to flesh out a surprisingly likeable main cast to get munched on. Seriously builds a great atmosphere of paranoia, suspicion and mistrust all through the film. If it sounds like you’re thing I’d highly recommend checking it out. Was not expecting it to have such a good time and I’ll sing this film’s praise if no one else will lol.

Soft and mildly silly No Order 66 Au. But Obi-wan still goes to Tatooine.
Anakin, when he stood there as old man Palpatine pleaded with him to save him from the "big bad jedi", made a different choice. Why? Because his wife and Obi-wan would be disappointed in him if he sided with a sith. Is Mace Windu gently coaxing him away from the ledge of insanity after Anakin kills Palpatine? Oh yeah.
Obi-wan still flees to Tatooine. Why? He's decided he needs a vacation. A long. Vacation. He stays long enough to ensure Anakin is getting the help he needs, then an hour before he leaves he gives everyone a single headsup about his plans, about leaving but not where to, and vanishes.
He buys a little hut. Planning to clean it up and start a little garden in the basement. He's going to spend his days relaxing and meditating. A Meditation A Day Keeps The PTSD Away. Thats his motto. His therapist sighs.
The plan would be perfect. Except he didn't calculate for one thing.
Cody.
Cody shows up on day 10, it only took that long because Cody got caught up in a pirate raid that he had to take care of. He just lets himself into the hut where Obi-wan - "Oh excuse me. Ben Kenobi." Cody rolls his eyes. "You didn't even change your last name!" - is sipping tea in his underwear at his kitchen counter.
Cody is a little pissed off because he spent all of the second day after Obi-wan left being interrogated by Skywalker, half the Jedi council, a lot of the Senate, and all of the 212th. Cody very quickly decided that no he was not going to be doing that again and fucked off after his Jedi. - "If you think I'm going to deal with all of that nonesense by myself, you're very mistaken." Cody huffs. - So Cody settles into the one bedroom hut with his Jedi. They spend every day learning to relax and take things slowly. It's very nice.
So now both Obi-wan and Cody are AWOL. The council and the senate have come to an aggreement to leave them alone for now after Cody left a very threatening note. Anakin is pissed that Obi-wan is hiding from him but can't really do anything about it while in the equivalent of rehab for Jedi that go dark or get too close.
The 212th decide this is a giant game of galaxy wide hide and seek. They are losing. Obi-wan and Cody are very good at hiding.

🤣 I’m cackling yessssss
It takes him a month to notice and that’s only because she took his favorite pair
He was looking for them because he had a date however because of her shenanigans, he ends up being 30 minutes late
@witchy-weve-monbebe okay but imagine a what if scenario where Frank, Joey, Peter and Sammy (I lowkey forgot what their actual names are 💀) escape and take Abigail with them
Frank 100% hated the fact that there was no money involved. That they all got screwed with and fuck it if he isn’t gonna stick it to Lazar and just take his kid. What does it matter at this point? (Let’s ignore that Lambert was there and called Lazar back)
Joey just wants to protect the girl despite her being a vampire and also because it’s another excuse to avoid going back to her son (not because she wants to but it’s like in the movie: she’s afraid she’s gonna be a shit mom)
Sammy of course joins for the ride just to see how it would play out and convinces Peter to join her in watching it all fall apart
Abigail is definitely an unwilling participant in terms to being a “hostage” but her attempts at killing them lower in intensity the more she spends time with them
(Also I think it’s be lowkey funny that Frank is the only one to really have beef with a 12 year old the more time they all spend together)

Okay so this is based off of this post but @witchy-weve-monbebe here’s a new idea
Imagine Abigail’s father scanning for nannies to watch Abigail
Except he really isn’t trying that hard and it ends up where Joey and Frank are doing an undercover job for Lambert and they get chosen
The job wasn’t supposed to cross paths with Lazar and maybe they never knew what Lazar looked like so they didn’t know it was him
Either way, Abigail sees through their guise but doesn’t let her father know just yet. She decides they’ll be fun entertainment

Okay but her messing with his jewelry is even funnier if she like tries to slowly replace some with Claire’s jewelry (mainly to see how long it would take before he either noticed or wore them)
She definitely gave him his own jewelry back as a gift for his birthday once (he opens it up and he’s like “oh these are nice! They’re so similar to the ones I used to have” *looks closer* “wait a second…these are mine!”)

Joey chews Frank out when he tries to retaliate because “you’re the adult, Frank”
Frank: she’s older than me
Abigail: and smarter too *smirks*
Abigail definitely runs to Joey (not because she can’t handle Frank) but because she wants to get him in trouble
Joey knows the tactic but it doesn’t make it less funny for her to be oblivious and blame Frank and Frank never realizes it, ever
His ego blinds him to Abigail and Joey’s team ups
A day doesn’t go by that Frank doesn’t threaten to kill Abigail at least thrice

Apologies to my followers but you’re gonna be seeing an intermix of star wars content and Abigail content because I just can’t get that movie out my mind
So if you haven’t seen the movie or not a fan, just ignore it. I’ll try to reblog other Star Wars content to make up for the spam 💀

Okay but the pranks Abigail does to Frank are borderline psychological torture (to him cuz he’s paranoid) but to her, it’s normal kid shit
Like you know how kids bite others sometimes for no reason
Abigail definitely bit Frank once. Not with her vampire fangs. Just bit him normally the last time they got in an argument (over cereal or something)
And the scene went like this
Frank: She bit me! SHE BIT ME!
Joey: yea, we all saw
Frank: what the fuck? *pulls a gun on Abigail* why-am I gonna turn into a vampire?
Abigail: *shrugs, smirking*
Joey: *pulling gun on Frank* put the gun down, Frank!
Frank: no! Not till she tells me what’s gonna happen
Peter: maybe she bit you to turn you into a vampire?
Frank: … thank you, Peter. I would have never guessed
Joey: put it down
Sammy: *recording the whole thing*
Frank, ignoring her: tell me what’s gonna happen or there’s gonna be a bullet through your small brain
Abigail, unimpressed: right? Because that’s stopped me before
Frank shoots at Abigail; Joey shoots Frank in the leg. Frank’s still pissed meanwhile Sammy and Peter are in the background laughing and Abigail is grounded
They all wait three days watching over the bite before Abigail finally admits nothing’s gonna happen (She got bribed by Sammy to spill; her reward: a movie night at the theaters)

I saw Godzilla x Kong before Abigail that day and was so confused because I was like “this guy looks familiar. What the heck”
It took me until the last fight that I realized “oh it’s DAN STEVENS” and then it made sense but yessss I totally agree. That whole third act had me debating who to root for because on one hand, problematic asshole and the other hand was the ballerina vampire and I … her character was so likable, I was gonna cry if she didn’t win and then there’s Joey who was getting her ass kicked but she was the least problematic out of all of them
Such a good movie godDANG I want to go see it again

transformations
A small post-movie introspection with Abigail.
Tumblr media
For the second time, Abigail finds herself transformed.
A body whimpers and writhes beneath her hands, but she finds little joy in the display, mind stuck on the past 24 hours.
She replays it, over and over. Every moment, every detail. It had all been planned out, from each beat to step, a meticulously choreographed performance.
The dance had barely begun when the set began to crumble, and while she would love to rest the blame on her unruly little troupe, she is not her father, and she knows it is her and her alone who must take the fall.
Abigail had miscalculated. Plain and simple.
She thought she knew who she was playing with, she thought she’d had Lambert under her thumb. She’d mistaken a knight for a pawn.
As she feeds, Abigail contemplates these failures. She can admit to them, learn from them. Adapt.
Kristof Lazar, as he’s been calling himself these days, rules through fear and intimidation, a power cultivated from seeds planted in a time so long ago most cannot begin to comprehend its existence.
Abigail doesn’t have that. She’ll never have that.
But tonight, she thinks, tongue lapping at the dying trickle from a now still body, perhaps she has planted a seed of her own.
Joey’s moment of hesitation to leave, to leave her, despite all that had transpired, like a gallant knight waiting for dismissal, injured and scared but oh so ready to stay – it etches itself into her brain, where countless nights and days have flickered by; this one is cemented, another pillar constructed in the ever-expanding home of her psyche.
See you around, Joey.
She’d planted a seed indeed. One she intends to coax into bloom.
Her men are all loyal to her father, but that woman could be hers and hers alone.
The thought is so enticing it leaves her previously settled stomach hungry for more, ravenous for a treat she cannot have.
A part of her regrets not having a taste, not having claimed her for her own. She would relish the closeness, to examine the connection she had felt, to comb through the mind of Ana Lucia Cruz until there was nothing left untouched by her.
But Abigail, for all that she will ever remain a child, young for eternity, she’s had hundreds of years to evolve, and patience is a skill she’s long since mastered.
A careful nurturing will birth a garden; a flower plucked will wilt in the blink of an eye.
Even now, within her she can feel the weak and fading consciousness of a girl so much like her, a mind lost without a body.
Sammy. Jessica.
In this aftermath, Abigail finds herself twinging with regret. She understands her – young and talented, abandoned and ignored. They’re the same in a way, right down to the foreign fondness that spikes with every thought of their companion-in-common.
It is a shame that she had to be the one to get in her way, she too could have been groomed for so much more.
She wonders if it is crueller to stomp out this dying light that cowers in her mind, or to leave it be to live out as far as it can until it meets its true death. She finds herself lost for answers, and entirely unwilling to unmask that weakness to those that may have them.
With a growl, Abigail drops the corpse to the floor, altogether uncomfortable with the spectrum of emotions seeping from her, like she’s some fragile little girl and not the monster stalking the night that people fear.
It’s easy to blame the unfortunate human in her head for the unwelcome intrusion.
It’s time for her to do what she does best. Observe, and stalk, and hunt.
She hopes Joey will keep her word and go to her son, because Abigail will certainly keep hers.
See you around, Joey.
