I swear I’m a patient person (I’m not) and I trust that it’s all for buildup and is good in the long run and will make things even juicier when the payoff comes but...

I miss season 4 Buddie :(. I think I’m gonna rewatch just season 4 because they were so cute that whole time. so nico and blake had met before obviously, but they never really hung out because they were both super busy with their own sports. but with blake injuries, jack and nico go over to her apartment a lot to check up on her and thats where they get super close

SO! here are some things that made them realize they liked the other person:

blake:

whenever her phone rang or buzzed, her first thought always went to nico and hoping that he was the reason behind her notifs

when jack would come over to her apartment and she'd catch herself being disappointed when nico didn't come with him

nicos brown puppy dog eyes. once hes talking to her, literally sitting like a foot or two away from her, and shes just completely mesmerized. she doesn't realize he stopped talking and once she catches on shes like "did i really just sit here with my cheek resting on my palm mesmerized by this man..."

when she was scrolling through the njd merch website to buy something to wear to one of jacks upcoming games and she decides to impulsively buy nicos jersey (she doesn't admit that she's bought it tho she keeps it in her closet and periodically pulls it out to stare at)

she starts giggling and blushing whenever hes talking to her even if what he said isn't funny

when she downloads duolingo to try and learn some swiss german after one too many glasses of wine tho is when she realizes she truly has a problem and that she fr likes him

nico:

when hes cooking himself dinner at night and he immediately thinks of making enough for blake and bringing it over to her apartment. hes like "well... i know shes upset right now so..." and so he doubles whatever recipe hes making

when jack tells him that blakes starting to feel better and that nico doesnt have to come with him to her apartment anymore and nicos first thought is ... "but i want to see blake"

when theyre out one night with the rest of the team and the boys keep urging him to go talk to this girl who's staring at him but he refuses because "why would i leave blake to talk to these idiots without me"

when hes hanging out with friends and blake calls and so he's immediately excusing himself from the room so he can hear her properly

he remembers all the little things like her coffee orders, favourite songs, snacks, etc... all saved into his notes app "just in case she needs something"

when jack comes over to nicos apartment to hang out and nico distractedly asked where blake was... (gagged jack bad)

nico watching a whole season of a tv show on a plane ride just because blake mentioned that she liked it

overhearing jack asking blake when she was gonna get a bf... his heart started beating fr hoping that she had no prospects (aside from him ofc) when this happens he reevaluates and is like... "okay maybe i'm not doing all of this because i think of her as just a friend.." and then he goes down that spiral of "if its morally wrong to date my teammate / bromance twins sister"

I'm mostly a fake so I can understand newer ppl needing insight into the peculiar type of competition in F1 and the weird balance of drivers respecting and maybe liking each other as people vs wanting to vanquish all of them as a fundamental part of a driver's mindset and training - and how they couldn't have even gotten to F1 in the first place if they didn't have that mentality.

Lando has always been super honest about this and stated it back when he started in F1

and ofc the quote about Daniel that got him so much shit but that he was literally just stating facts

This man falls asleep ANYWHERE...Where you'd find him mostly? Sleeping in the closet, in a crate, or anywhere that looks extremely uncomfortable to sleep. Hell, even Demoman doesn't know how he woke up there! But he just does and it became a daily everyday thing for Demoman and the other mercenaries.

AMAZING with Piano. Seriously, he has been learning how to play Piano since he was a wee lil lad. He mostly plays scottish piano songs though. But you could give him a song request and he'll try to play it if he's in the mood !!! :)

RED Demoman and RED Soldier arent best friends, but they're still friends. They just dont talk as much as RED Demoman does with BLU Soldier.

Ohohoho...Speaking of RED Demoman and BLU Soldier, they're gossiping besties fr. They both gossip about their teammates in secret and somehow none found out about it!

Demoman is a cat and dog person!!! ^_^ If he was able to he would've got a little kitty and lil puppy as a child! Scottish Fold and Cairn Terrier are his favourite :3

Despite already having a whole ass mansion, he still turned his workshop into a small dorm for himself !!! He doesn't have a bed there buut he has a comfy couch to sleep on!!! And maybe a small old tv that Engie fixed for him as well!

A lot of times when he's sober his team doesn't know, so that's why most assume that he has never been sober before. When he's sober he's actually extremely calm and a polite man. (unlike when he's drunk...He has a foul mouth...)

Despite his drunkness, he's actually extremely smart and experienced in chemistry! He can even be a scientist with his knowledge but he decided not to do that. If you have difficulity with chemistry stuff? Call Demoman to help!

I refuse to believe this man isn't autistic fr...He's good at masking and got lil used to eye contact! His special interest is chemistry (especially explosives) ofc and his vocal stim is def "Kaboom!" or "Kablooey!" ^_^ (No this isn't me projecting on Demoman wymmmm)

RED Demoman has a strong platonic bromance with BLU Soldier...BLU Demoman and RED Soldier on the other hand...They're SWORE ENEMIES. Will rip each other apart the moment they spot each other..

Speaking of enemies...RED Demoman and BLU Demoman are definetely rival enemies! Both dual a lot just to see who's the best Demoman and WILL rub it on the other Demoman if they win. They don't get along...Only times they actually get along is when they're partnerings trying to get out of a situation that requires working together, other than that? They go back to being rival enemies.

He's a extremely flirty man when drunk fr...If he likes anyone? He /will/ show it...Then end up embarrassed when he wakes up.

Literally anything that would capitalize on the conflict (lit analysis meaning) built into SQQ and LQG's relationship - that one of them treats it as a regular friendship and the other as an epic xianxia bromance (at the very least). I think it would be cool if LQG was given more role than just "a loyal guy with unrequited feelings" from time to time. And I would be especially interested in the iteration where LQG's feelings are entirely platonic and still this intense.

Less pressing than previous because I've actually seen a fic referencing it, but a similar situation in cucumber/plane friendship, where SQQ unquestioningly takes SQH as an ally based on their shared background, but SQH is actually. not at all more loyal to him than to anyone else? Like he'll help, but he'll also sell him out without suffering much guilty conscience too. I think it's a fun discrepancy!

Explore SY!SQQ projecting his older siblings feelings onto YQY. (In more detail than canon does, because this is literally. canon. I've been rereading and there are at least two lines referencing this in early chapters.)

Anything about the parallels between ZZL's loyalty to SQQ and SQQ's loyalty to LBH. I might write meta about this myself one day, but I wish someone else did, I'm lazy okay. The tldr is that in both relationships one person's loyalty hurts rather than helps the other, ultimately because they are trying to do what they think is right for the other without understanding them first.

Shen Yuan's family, esp in reverse transmigration or Bing-ge comes to modern world fics. This is clearly something that shaped SY's character a lot and I think you could get a lot of fun interaction out of it.

For fics that have both Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan without them being siblings: more SY being a bitch to the guy who was mean to his blorbo. Not necessarily for the entire fic, but I think shen vs. shen dynamic is vastly underrepresented, we gotta get onto that. (Also a bit of an aside, but I've seen the idea in fic that SJ is much more powerful than SY as a cultivator, and that... listen, while I agree that SJ would have the benefit of experience, I feel this kinda ignores the fact that SY fixed SQQ's damaged cultivation in several months - before being nerfed by Without a Cure for his efforts, ofc, but still, this implies some level of talent.)

Oh, and last but not least: fics that would explore Binghe's love for SQQ being complicated and not-unfaltering. I tried to imply that a bit in Transmigrator Time Traveler, but I would love a more direct look from someone with more love for angst than me, maybe.

Top Gun: Maverick hcs that are on my mind (based off of imos and me and my life) Pt 3

holy shit, we’re up to part 3! hope you’ve enjoyed the series so far! :)

- top gun to me at this point is just a gay club you gotta try really hard to get into

- mav has thunder thighs

- ^^ he has tried crushing so many fruits between his thighs throughout his life ^^

- mav doesnt have a doorknob for his bedroom; because it broke once and he keeps forgetting to repair it. he usually hangs his towel on the doorway to cushion it from any dramatic slam he does so very often (he's a theatre kid)

- slider is actually really good at art. he usually surprises everyone by suddenly drawing a very detailed landscape during a lecture. Iceman is also good at art, but he doesn't do landscapes. He draws Maverick. Doodles of Maverick. Everywhere.

-Pratically Slider and Iceman are the arty kids

- mav has some(multiple even) form(s) of anxiety disorder(s). he acts all big, but he’s usually only a little bit away from having a bit of an anxiety attack (from what Viper said, he has a confidence issue; made me think and all that :,) )

- wolfman and hollywood have the biggest bromance the world can offer. they’re the type of people to make out in front of everyone then say ‘no homo’ right after and proceed like nothing happened.

- maverick has definitely had some slip ups on the bike. he does NOT like to go to someone about it, because he likes to prove he can do it himself because he is a stubborn bastard boy.

- most people in top gun are bastard boys

- mav had a wolverine phase because i said so

- mav cant sit in a chair normally, he has to be sitting on an angle, cross legged, etc. ice is just bloody used to it by now

-Hehe mav sits on ices lap thats just one hc i go back to constantly.

- rooster and hangman usually sit together nowadays and just whisper into one anothers ear and start giggling like a bunch of school girls.

- ever since hangman became mavs son-in-law (cause hangster), hes fucking terrified of the guy and is instantly suckers up to him. rooster has never seen this before in his life but uses it to his advantage

- goose is probably the origin story for most teachers talking about students falling back on their seat because he did it once and just landed square on his ass

- ROOSTER IS A COPY AND PASTE OF GOOSE AND MAV LITERALLY HAS TO BRING HIMSELF BACK TO THE PRESENT TO REMIND HIMSELF THAT 'NO THAT ISN'T MY DEAD BEST FRIEND, ITS MY DEAD BEST FRIENDS SON' but ofc they become best friends AND father son because I said so

-Penny has a picture of rooster and hangman hanging out in her bar and printed it out for both of them to have. They both secretly have it and obsess over it

-Rooster watches crime documentaries religiously

-Mav isn't actually 5"7, he's shorter. He just wears lifts and has heels on his boots. He wears his boots everywhere to prove this. We dont know his true height, it just isn't 5"7

-Maverick gets motion sickness, so there's that danger to flying that he might accidently throw up on himself.

- everyone remember when ice was playing with the pen and doing all those tricks? well when i was rewatching a bit of pewdiepie, i saw him doing those knife tricks with the butterfly knife and all i could think was ice does that and mav is worried it is a real knife

- cyclone is actually, most probably, the biggest ally in the book because he has to deal with the two love birds, ice and mav, all the time
