Cuz you're doing recs can I ask your favorite explicit non-AU fics? If this is weird, just ignore it please. also sorry if its weird.
that's alright, i don't mind recommending some!!
Just a Taste by summerofspock (3k) See, it wasn’t so much the eating. It was the noises. It was the indecent look on Aziraphale’s face. It was the way he licked his fingers and wiggled in his seat. Every little action felt specially created to undo Crowley. And Aziraphale had no idea.
Anywhere You Want to Go by Aria (9k) Aziraphale knew Crowley liked him. He'd known it with a horrible clarity since around 1100, which was at least a thousand years after the first time he'd thought of kissing Crowley, and some eight hundred and odd before it occurred to him that the specific quality of Crowley's regard could be very dangerous for both of them, if they actually admitted their feelings aloud. It was also two weeks since any of that had mattered at all anymore.
Lead me to the banquet hall by obstinatrix, wishwellingtons (14k) Crowley loves taking Aziraphale out to eat almost as much as Aziraphale loves eating, but it's always a bit of a one-sided affair. Aziraphale has never understood why. Crowley planned on keeping it that way, but best laid plans…
The road to rapture has a lot of pit stops by emmagrant01 (17k) Five times they kissed over four thousand years, and one time they actually meant it.
One Night In Bangor (And the World's Your Oyster) by Atalan (17k) "All right, I know I'm going to regret asking this," Aziraphale says. "What exactly does this wager entail?" Crowley grins like the cat that not only got the cream but has absconded with the entire cow. He grabs the bottle and swigs straight from it despite Aziraphale's tut of disapproval.  "The pot goes to whichever demon can get an angel into bed by the end of the evening."  AKA The Fic That Tumblr Made Me Write. Heaven and Hell share a corporate party once per millennium. This time someone's had the bright idea of issuing a challenge to the demons of Hell. Crowley has no intention of missing the opportunity; Aziraphale's just enough of a bastard to make him work for it.
Faking It by bisasterdi (28k) In the immediate aftermath of the Nope-Let's-Notpocalypse, Crowley and Aziraphale tentatively begin to move on, hoping Heaven and Hell will leave them alone in the wake of both of their failed trials. Of course, nothing could possibly be that simple. It isn't that Gabriel or Beelzebub have actually figured out how the trials were subverted…but boy, do they THINK they have it figured out. Thankfully, it won't take much to keep them in the dark. (Crowley and Aziraphale just have to spend eternity together, pretending to be in love with each other. All Crowley needs to do is make sure Aziraphale never finds out that everything he's saying and doing is true.)
32 Questions That Lead To Love by ffonippop (32k)
”First formulated in 1997, [32] questions to fall in love is a study by psychologist Dr. Arthur Aron which took place at Stony Brook University, New York. The aim? Speeding up the creation of intimacy between two strangers.” The Cosmopolitan
Okay, fine.
Crowley was 32-Questions-That-Lead-To-Love-ing Aziraphale. Sue him.
He had no expectations, all right? Just, an innocent curiosity.
The Sandford Flower Show by Mussimm (46k) Crowley had waited six thousand years, kept it all in check. But this was the slipperiest slope he’d ever set foot on and as soon as he’d indulged in a few discretionary acts of kindness he was falling face first into pining, tumbling into flirting, about to dislocate his knees on the sharp rocks of intimacy. Was this really it? What he had waited six thousand years for? A stupid flower show? Aziraphale wasn’t pulling away from him. Maybe… maybe this time he wouldn’t? Maybe they’d hold hands again. Maybe tonight with a bottle of merlot in them he’d finally work up the courage and just kiss him and he wouldn’t pull away. The very moment he’d thought it he spotted the problem at the flower show.
Flowers From The Grave Of Our Friendship by WaitingToBeBroken (50k) Crowley is very good at temptation, not so good with what comes afterwards. Aziraphale knows demons don't love so he is happy to take anything Crowley would give him. Both of them are too blind to realize the thing they want is right in front of them.
The Grindr Logo Doesn't Even Have a 'G' In It by indieninja92 (79k) After the Apocalypse, Aziraphale ventures into a new space in the gay milieu - Grindr. There he starts talking to a charming young man who certainly doesn't bear any resemblance at all to a certain long streak of demon, not one bit, no thank you. Meanwhile, Aziraphale and Crowley navigate their friendship after the world failed to end. There is much drinking and silliness, but could it be that there are other feelings lurking underneath?? Of course there are, this is fanfic.

I saw all your JTTW posts and I’m curious; in the original story when do you think Wukong goes from viewing Xuanzang as an annoyance to genuinely caring about him and vice versa?
Ooo that is a hard one to pin point there could be so many moments. And it's hard to really put down because Wukong throughout the story has shown to care about Sanzang on some level (even low) every since the Ginseng Fruit arc when he took his place for the torture to make sure that he isn't hurt. Sure that was part of his job to make sure he doesn't die but he still didn't want Sanzang to be hurt either knowing as a human he wouldn't be able to take it like Wukong would. (Man said that the whips were like tickles to him, what a chad).
I would say that their biggest moments of clarity would also have been their biggest trials as well. White Bone Demon arc in specific. That was the first biggest hurdle and I think it’s the first one that they had to overcome to really start understanding the other. Wukong didn’t understand why Sanzang wouldn’t want to save people despite risking his own life in the process and Sanzang didn’t understand why Wukong was just trying to protect them from potential threats, even if they haven’t committed any attacks first. It was definitely the first major head-butting but I honestly think despite Wukong’s anger and Sanzang’s ignorance they both were forced to reevaluate each other.
Wukong went home and the first thing he did to save his monkeys was to illuminate 10,000 hunters that were killing them off. That is the population of a town at least. And yes, they were hunters but also, that is not a morally bad occupation, either. It’s just that these men were going after “prey” that they didn’t even know had a powerful monkey god on their side. And with just one scoop of his staff and some rocks he was putting like golf balls they were all wiped out. And Sanzang when he was captured again was only able to escape from the mercy of another person, and even then when he tried to relay a message to her father, he was only turned into a tiger and almost tortured to death 20 times over for his involvement.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both of them were going through some of the lowest points in the journey and it’s only about a year into knowing one another.
It’s only when Bajie has to beg Wukong to come and even then he had to push for Wukong to take him seriously. And while Wukong does put on a show to tease Bajie and make him is what it was a single seen. That always makes me wonder how serious he was taking going back. And it’s when he chose to pay themselves despite any second Wujing and Sanzang are still in danger, but he still stopped and even asked Bajie to wait so he can properly cleanse himself for Sanzang else he is afraid he will be judged. As if he knows Sanzang would be able to see the murder on his hands despite it only being a couple days he is already killed more in a single day than he will throughout the journey.
Tumblr media
And Sanzang is forced into his tiger state, being hunted down and chased around the castle until he is tied up and stabbed, the only reason that he didn’t die was because he had deities keeping him alive by pure force. He saw what it was like to not be heard and to be punished for what he thought was right and trying to help someone that helped him. While his actions themselves were not bad he seemed to be unaware of the consequences of those actions, and what they could lead to.
I think that this arc when they reconcile is definitely the most notable turning point of their relationship as from there on out I think he gets more obvious with how Wukong treats Sanzang. Even in the Red Boy arc which is just another year or two after the White Bone Demon Arc, we see Wukong having his first breakdown that he thinks he can’t do it. He really is hard on himself and thinks that it’s really impossible and that he can’t protect Sanzang like he should, and maybe they really should give up. Wujing hasta be the one to get them out of this mindset and let him know that No, they can do this and as long as they work together they can defeat anyone in the past, but they can’t do it alone.
Tumblr media
From there Sanzang shows absolute faith and trust in Wukong in the Three Taoist Arc, going to each trial himself as he blindly follows Wukongs instructions. He isn’t sure how Wukong is going to save the day doing each trial he’s against the demon but he just knows that Wukong is going to do it. And I think that it was here that Sanzang at least starts to see he can trust Wukong with his life, and even if he is still a little crude and rude, Wukong is a loyal and kind person. And that Wukong starts to rely on Sanzang as well as a teacher. We see over and over again how dedicated Wukong is not only to protecting Sanzang but actually listening to scriptures and studying them with Sanzang. Whenever Sanzang has a moment of fear or doubt Wukong would recite the same scriptures back to him about what it means to overcome trials and tribulation. Wukong himself is still unempathetic to a certain degree but he does start caring more not only within his own party but also just about people in general. We see how he gave each monk a hair to keep themselves safe while he was rescuing them. And while he still shows signs of aggressiveness like in the Spirit Touch King Arc or One Horned Rhino Arc I think this particular act signifies when Wukong starts to change that mindset as well.
Tumblr media
And we see that kind of trust again in the Women’s Kingdom arc, about 6 years into the journey. Sanzang is absolutely terrified of being forced to marry and wants everything in his power to leave. But Wukong knows that they can’t leave without a fight and tells Sanzang upfront that either he has to trust him and go along with his plan or that they have to risk fighting an entire country and being forced to even kill. Sanzang knew which one he would choose and agrees to follow Wukongs plan and pretend to be interested in the queen as well for the sake of keeping the peace until they can make a run for it last minute.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think it’s here actually that Wukong starts to change his mindset is when about the 7-year hits and we are faced with the Six-Eared Macaque Arc. And it’s really here that I believe Wukong challenges himself, about who he is, and what he stands for because it’s not the same as who he was when he first started. When he first started, he was still a warlord, just looking for a way out of his imprisonment, and while he was grateful, he still found it just solely on the mission. But at this point, he has shown that he is dedicated to the mission not because of his gratitude I’ve been released, but also that he has shown such dedication to learning the scriptures and being a Buddist Monk. He has shown time and time to get how much he is willing to go for his party and not only make sure they are safe but also how much joy they bring him. He has been alive for nearly 1,500~ years but it’s only these 14 years does take up most of his narrative, as if the first millennia were just a blink of the eye. It is these moments in the 14 that are the most important years of his life that change forever. And he’s going to have to come to with terms that he is changing, he wants different things, he’s a different person, he thinks differently within himself. This is why I think the Six Ears Arc is in the middle of the journey, as it shows how the middle is his turning point with not only how he sees himself, but how interacts with other people as well. It wasn't just that Wukong's mind was split but the parties' mind as well. And now, they are one.
Tumblr media
Sanzang thought after seeing Wukong behead a man and give it to him that perhaps it really was hopeless, and even after all these years maybe Wukong is it willing to change how he interacts with the world. That Sanzang has failed as a teacher and he really has nothing to offer to be the one to have Wukong better himself. And that is true to a degree as the only person that could make Wukong a better person is himself. No one can Wukong for Wukong. He has to make that conscious decision. And I think that’s perfectly civilized with the Six Ears Arc and how he confronts his worst traits and realizes “I am better than that” and knows that he is more than what he is given.
Sanzang and Wukong have one of the most interesting dynamics within the store, and I think it’s because of how similar they are in how they react to both failure and how they react to challenges. Both of them are very stubborn, emotional, and very head harder but while Sanzang is stubborn, and the fact that he wants to give everyone a second chance and will be willing to risk his life to do so Wukong is stubborn and the fact that he refuses to take any chances and focuses on self-preservation for him and select few. Sanzang might be scared, but his heart is in a good place of trying to reach out to others and Wukong in some way could be unwilling to go light on others not only for the sake of his own amusement but of fear that if he doesn’t finish an enemy now, they will only come back to harm him later.
Wukong and Sanzang only have a deeper bond and greater unity after the Six Ears arc, most of their interactions, from then, on being about how they were lying to one another, and how they trust one another. And yes, they still have those bats for the sake of drama, comedy, or even just to move the plot, I really think that they started caring about one another in the first chapter but they trusted each other in the Yellow Robes Arc, and really understood each other by the Six Ears Macaque Arc. Sanzang perhaps is the only person that really understands Wukong.

if you like a good fantasy story, where small details can have large ripple effects later, and enjoy the Avatar-verse, then take a look at my Legend of Korra fanfiction Shared Moments series. (I chose to not rewrite canon Book 1 because of reasons.) As long as you've seen the first season of Legend of Korra, then it should all make sense. Heck, you probably don't even need to see that, but book 1 would have more clarity if you did. This very much is a Korrasami fanfiction, where their relationship starts much earlier than canon. (I got rid of the romantic triangle weirdness with Mako in book 2 entirely).
I did a lot of research for this fanfiction. Dug into the Avatar-verse lore, especially the bending arts, Spirit World, spirit energy, the Beyond/Space, and how that all interconnects with the physical world. And let me tell you, I found a lot more gaps in the worldbuilding than I expected, which gives me a little freedom to dig deeper into some of my themes. I also looked at some common themes that the fandom seems to use in relation to the Spirit World and Spirits, so I collated those as well to try to find a sort-of consensus. (Not that there is one really.) That is reflected in how I depict Spirits and the Spirit World. Also, I strive to accurately depict how people in oppressive regimes often have underground mutual aid networks, and how these often have anarchist roots (I paint these as good because they are!). I explore themes related to justice, equality, mutual aid, disability, sustainability, balance, and building relationships. Korra and Asami's journey is very much a long arc of learning about how to listen to the people's needs and then give them the materials/tools needed to build what they need to be sustainable. Of course, the powers-at-be don't like that and fight Korra and Asami at every turn. Note: since I'm a queer disabled person, I wanted more queer disabled rep, so when our heroes face off in epic battles, they will have scars and deal with temporary (or permanent) disability. How they acclimate is crucial to their journey and the goal of justice, where no one is left behind. (Content Warning for: graphic violence, abuse, murder, poisoning, assault, attempted genocide.) To read summaries of the books, see below. For Books 4 and 5, the summary may be adjusted after I start writing those. At the moment, I only have an outline for those and scattered scenes.
I have Books 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3 finished. I have started Book 3.5.
Book 1 starts after Asami turns on her father, and it details scenes between the canon show's scenes. The book digs into the start of Korra and Asami's friendship and how Asami deals with the loss of nearly everything of her former life. Goal was to show some of her arc that the show glossed over.
Book 1.5 centers on Asami after the events of Book 1. It starts a few days after Team Avatar returns from the South after Korra's bending was restored by her past lives. Asami struggles with the aftermath of her father trying to kill her, his upcoming trial, the investigation into his properties, and her inheritance of Future Industries. Content Warning: Suicidal Ideation, PTSD, Traumatic Flashbacks
Book 2 is a rewrite of the canon version. Asami joins Korra in her journey to the South in hopes of scoring a deal with Varrick to save her beleaguered company, while she supports Korra's journey to better understand her spiritual side and her relationship troubles. However, Asami finds herself swept up with a hidden sect of Southerners that try to keep their traditions alive despite Northern oppression. She convinces Korra to visit this sect, and it starts their dark spirits investigations. Tensions rise in the South as the North invades, and Team Avatar finds themselves caught in an escalating conflict that leads to a World War.
In Book 2.5, Team Avatar return to Republic City after having survived a World War. Asami finds herself caught up in a spiral of flashbacks, strange headaches, and an unsettling feeling that something is very wrong with herself. Varrick tries to manipulate the press against Asami in a bid to lessen his sentence, but as she and Korra fight back, Asami discovers her mansion has been taken over by an unknown faction.
Book 3 involves the rise of airbenders all over the world. Team Avatar journeys with Tenzin and Jinora to seek out airbenders to rebuild the Air Nation, only to find that across the Earth Kingdom airbenders are going missing and others going into hiding. While they seek to unravel the mystery, Asami's health deteriorates as the symptoms she had since Harmonic Convergence begin to accelerate. To make matters worse, a group of criminals, who had attempted to kidnap Korra as a child, escape from jail and go on the hunt for the Avatar and her Mirror.
Book 3.5 details the rise of military dictatorship in the Earth Kingdom, while Asami and Korra tackle long-distance relationship troubles and their grueling recovery from the Red Lotus. However, Asami finds herself increases caught up in a political quagmire when her company starts the Republic City rebuild project and Asami begins following through on her promises to the mutual aid communities in the Earth Kingdom. She develops an undercover identity and works with the Air Nation to slow the rise of the dictator and provide aid to those in need. This book is being written and will be posted once I finish posting Book 3. It covers three years unlike the other books that span a few weeks to a few months at most.
Book 4 will detail Korra's return to Republic City and Asami's struggle to trust Korra again. However, the brutal dictator in the Earth Kingdom has set her sights on Zaofu and Republic City in a goal to take over the entire continent, but her experiments into spirit energy threatens to imbalance the physical and spirit world and imperil the lives of millions.
Book 4.5 covers Korra and Asami's vacation in the Spirit World.
Book 5 will cover Korra and Asami's return from their vacation and the subsequent recovery from war. However, danger looms when the secret of the spirit vines is stolen followed by explosive attacks on city centers across the world by an unknown but strangely familiar faction. (Still unwritten, but it's been plotted out already.)
So those are the already written or planned books thus far!
Enjoy!

 Chapter 1:
The Meeting
Eminence, Missouri
Nestled several miles away from the nearest town, a factory stands as a silent sentinel, abandoned. Rising several stories high, its walls now bear the scars of weathering and neglect. Faded patches hint at the vibrant signage that once proudly displayed the factory's name; and windows once gleaming with clarity, are now clouded with layers of dirt and grime. The once bustling parking lot now lies empty, overgrown with weeds and tangled vegetation. The asphalt now cracked and broken; and the distant sound of wildlife serves as a stark reminder of the factory's lost production.
As one approaches stepping through the factory's entrance, a cavernous space opens up, revealing the remnants of a once bustling production floor. The air hangs heavy with stillness, interrupted only by the faint rustling of papers and the occasional creek of metal elsewhere. Blanketed in shadows the factory floor stretches into the distance, beams of light from the clouded windows above providing only minimal viability. A labyrinth of conveyor belts, frozen in time, wind their way through the space, their motionless gears and rollers covered in a thick layer of dust. Abandoned machinery & assembly lines, once the heartbeat of production, now sits idle and forgotten.
As the evening sun cast a warm golden hue across the landscape, a cloud of dust rises in the distance. The rhythmic rumble of a powerful engine reverberates through the air, announcing the arrival of a classic beauty; effortlessly navigating the winding gravel road leading to the factor. Its sleek curves cut through the forested atmosphere. A symbol of timeless Americana. As it pulls closer, the crunch of gravel beneath its tires echoes through the stillness, intertwining with the whispering breeze. The dust settles in its wake, leaving a trail that marks its journey. Each turn of the wheels resonates with purpose and determination as if it itself possesses an unyielding spirit; Thee Black Impala.
As the Impala glides to a stop, the engine's growl tapers off, replaced by an expectant silence. The weight of the moment hangs in the air as the Impala's doors swing open, releasing a burst of energy. Two figures emerge, their steps purposeful and confident. The soft thud of boots hitting the ground marks their arrival. With the factory looming before them, the Impala remains a symbol of their shared journey, a steadfast companion in this unknown territory, a vessel that has carried the duo through countless trials and tribulations. It radiates a sense of familiarity and trust, a sanctuary a midst the unknown.
Two brothers, seasoned hunters; their expressions reflect a unique combination of focused determination and battle-hardened experience. Together, the they share a silent understanding, a nonverbal communication built upon years of hunting side by side. With cautious steps, they approach the entrance of the factory; one pausing on each side of the door, double-check their weapons. With silver bullets loaded & knives at the hips the brothers exchange a brief nod before entering.
______________________________________________________________
Inside the dimly lit factory, shadows dance a midst abandoned machinery. A figure in clad worn jeans and jacket grips a silver dagger tightly in their hand. Its polished blade reflects the glimmers of light that seep through the dirty windows, emphasizing its lethal potential. Their eyes, fierce and unyielding, lock onto the monster before them.
A werewolf, towering and menacing, lunges forward with feral intensity. Its snarls ring through the desolate factory, echoing off the ruined walls. But the dagger wielding  warrior refuses to be swayed by fear, channeling their resolve into every movement. Dodging the werewolf's ferocious strikes with agility and elegance; reflexes honed through countless battles. Each movement is precise, calculated, as they maneuver with the grace as those a predator themselves. The clang of metal against claws echos as the silver dagger meets the werewolf's strike.
With unwavering determination, the warrior seizes an opening, their movements swift and deliberate. In a swift motion, the silver dagger is plunged deep into the werewolf's chest, aiming unerringly for its heart. The beast recoils, a guttural howl escaping as the silver's searing effect courses through its veins. As the werewolf stumbles backward, it’s killer stands firm, watching as the transformation fades, leaving behind the battered form of a defeated creature.
Sun rays filters through the factory windows as clouds pass, casting an ethereal glow upon the solemn scene. A woman emerged victorious, overcoming the fierce threat; her heart pounding with a mix of adrenaline and triumph. Taking a moment to catch her breath; her chest rising and falling with exhaustion, she gazes upon the fallen werewolf.
______________________________________________________________
Slipping into the abandoned factory with silent footsteps, the brothers’ presences are cloaked by the shadows. Peering from a concealed vantage point, they observe the valiant struggle between two silhouettes. Their eyes, trained by years of hunting, keenly follow each fluid movement, tracking the ebb and flow of the intense battle.
One brother, taller then the other, furrows brow slightly as his analytical mind works to assess the situation. He notes one figure as a woman with impeccable technique, recognizing the signs of a seasoned fighter. His gaze flickers towards the silver dagger clutched in her hand much like the one he too has brought.
“Who is that?” He would whisper but never looked away.
The other brother has his jaw clenched in quiet determination, watching with a mixture of confusion and concern. His fingers instinctively adjusting around the pistol he holds to his side as he eagerly watches the back and forth between his target and the unknown woman.
“No idea.” His voice low and rough.
As the climactic moment unfolds, the brother’s eyes lock onto the crucial instant when the woman strikes with precision, plunging the silver dagger into the werewolf's heart. Their breath catches in unison as the beast's defeated form crumples to the ground. With only a glance to one another they share a wordless exchange, a silent question amidst the darkness. Despite knowing that they obviously had a shared purpose; an uncertainty still stood. Was this woman friend or foe?
Standing over the body of her pray the woman wipes away it’s blood from her silver blade using her jacket before sliding it back into its sheath that lay against her back; tucked into her jean’s waist band. A subtle shift in the atmosphere catches her attention. A lingering unease prickles at the back of her neck, and she turns her gaze toward the shadows, searching for the source. To her surprise, she locks eyes with two men, standing just beyond the edge of the dusty streams of sunlight. Their presence, revealed in that moment, shatters the tranquility of the scene. Ones empathetic gaze meets hers, while the other’s expression reflects a mixture of curiosity and caution.
A flicker of realization passes across the woman's face as she processes the significance of their presence. Her thoughts race, contemplating their identities and intentions. But before the brothers can calmly approach and initiate a conversation, a sense of urgency and fear grips the woman. Her instincts kick into overdrive, and without hesitation, she takes off, her footsteps echoing through the factory's abandoned halls. The adrenaline-fueled rush compels her to escape, to distance herself from the duo. She navigates the labyrinthine corridors, her heart pounding in her chest once again, as she seeks an exit, a path to freedom.
The men exchange a swift glance, their shared understanding urging them to give chase. With determined resolve, they pursue the woman, their strides purposeful and swift. The clatter of their footsteps mixing in the empty space with the woman’s.
“Wait!” The younger brother called out as they gave chase, navigating the twists and turns of the factory with a with skill. As the woman pushes forward, hurdling over discarded machinery and debris. With each passing moment, the chase intensifies; the woman’s figure fleeting, echoes of her footsteps taunting, and the brother’s pace quickening.
As the chase pushes deeper into the factory's labyrinth, the woman spots a glimmer of hope—an old, rusted door at the far end of the hallway. She channels every ounce of her remaining strength, propelling herself toward it with a renewed surge of energy.
The brothers, undeterred by the obstacles in their path, driven by a shared resolve to bridge the gap between them. Their voices call out, their words laced with a plea for understanding and a desire to help.
Reaching the weathered door the woman’s trembling hands wrestle with the rusted handle as her desperation fuels her. Closing in the brothers footsteps echo loudly as the old brother pulls ahead, reaching out to grab the woman.
Within moments of the door clattering opening, swinging hard enough to hit the side of the building, and the woman stepping foot out into brightly lit outdoors.
“Hold It!” A rash voice commanded. A hand firmly closes around her upper arm. Stopping her in her tracks as the two of the slid to a full stop.
“DEAN!” The woman heard another voice call out, filled with urgency, warning, and caution before she had even turned to face her captor.
“Dean?” She would question as her head snapped around to face the man holding her in place. Her expression one of surprise.
“Yeah?” The shorter of the two brothers answered, his brow creased as he leaned back slightly; taken by the sudden interest as he looked to the other man now standing next to him.
“And Sam? Winechester?” The woman looked to the taller man now standing next to Dean.
“Uhh, Yeah?” Sam answered though it sounded more like a question itself seeing as this is not how he expected the questioning to pan out.
“Great, so you know who we are but who are you, what are you doing here, and where’d you learn to fight like that?” Dean demanded answers more then requested them.
The woman frowned at Dean’s insistence as she sighed and pulled her arm out of his gasp.
“The name is Saia; I came here to stop that werewolf. Same as you right?” She would ask, raising an eye brow and  resting her hands on her hips as she moved her gaze from Dean to Sam.
“So, you’re a hunter?” Sam would ask, motioning to her with his hand as he spoke.
Saia nodded her head but before their conversation could continue the moment was abruptly shattered by the distant wail of police sirens. The urgent sound slices through the air, carrying with it the threat of imminent discovery. The trio exchanges a quick glance, the unspoken agreement forged in their eyes. Without wasting another second, Sam, Dean, and Saia rush towards the side of the building, gravel crunching beneath their rushed foot steps. The pressing need to evade the approaching authorities motivating their movements.
In a seamless motion, Sam produces the keys to the Impala, tossing them to Dean before he takes the passenger seat. Dean slides into the driver's seat, his practiced hands swiftly inserting the key into the ignition. The engine roars to life, a powerful beast ready to devour the miles between them and the approaching police. Saia settles into the backseat, pulse racing as the Impala surges forward, tires spewing gravel as it hurtles away from the factory, leaving behind the encroaching sirens in its wake.
As they speed through the winding roads, the trio exchanges glances. Dean's hands grip the steering wheel with unwavering determination, his focus unyielding. He navigates the roads, his familiarity with the Impala evident in every precise maneuver. Sam leans forward, offering Saia a comforting smile, assuring her that where they are heading is safe.
As the Impala roars into the distance, they leave the abandoned factory and its secrets behind. With each passing mile, the trio becomes a formidable force, bound together not only by the pursuit of justice but by the bonds of friendship and the shared weight of their chosen path. The road stretches out before them, a canvas for the battles they will face and the victories they will claim as they embark on a new chapter in their intertwined destinies.
End Chapter.

Embracing the Storm: How to Stay Strong and Carry On Amid Chaos
Shaina Tranquilino
January 19, 2024
Tumblr media
Life is a beautiful journey, but it's not always smooth sailing. At times, circumstances may conspire against us, pushing us into a state of turmoil where everything around seems to be falling apart. However, in these moments of chaos, we have the power to rise above our challenges and find strength within ourselves. Let's explore some strategies that can help you stay strong and carry on when life becomes overwhelming.
1. Acknowledge your emotions:
When facing adversity, it's crucial to honour your feelings rather than suppressing them. Allow yourself to experience sadness, frustration, or anger without judgment. By acknowledging these emotions, you give yourself permission to heal and move forward with resilience.
2. Seek support from loved ones:
Remember that you do not have to face life's trials alone. Reach out to friends or family members who genuinely care about your well-being. Sharing your burden with someone trustworthy can provide solace and perspective during challenging times. Don't hesitate to ask for help when needed; vulnerability often brings people closer together.
3. Practice self-care:
Amid chaos, practicing self-care becomes even more vital as it recharges your emotional batteries. Engage in activities that bring you joy and peace – whether it’s reading, painting, going for walks in nature, or indulging in hobbies you love. Prioritizing self-care allows you to replenish your energy levels and maintain mental clarity amidst adversity.
4. Reframe negative thoughts:
Our minds have an incredible ability to shape our reality based on how we perceive situations. Instead of succumbing to negativity bias and dwelling on what's going wrong, consciously choose to reframe your thoughts positively. Focus on opportunities for growth that arise from setbacks or failures; this shift in mindset will empower you with renewed determination.
5. Set small achievable goals:
In trying times, setting small, achievable goals can help you regain a sense of control and purpose. Break down your larger challenges into bite-sized tasks that will lead you toward progress. Celebrate each milestone achieved, no matter how insignificant it may seem. The satisfaction of accomplishing these smaller goals will fuel your motivation to keep moving forward.
6. Cultivate resilience through gratitude:
Gratitude is a powerful tool for cultivating resilience during adversity. Take time each day to reflect on the things you are grateful for, even amidst chaos. By focusing on what remains intact rather than what's falling apart, you build strength within yourself and gain perspective on life's challenges.
7. Embrace change and adaptability:
Life is constantly changing, and sometimes our ability to adapt becomes crucial for survival. When faced with unexpected circumstances, try embracing change instead of resisting it. Acceptance allows us to find new paths, discover hidden opportunities, and grow as individuals throughout the process.
As humans, we possess an incredible capacity for resilience in the face of adversity. Remember that storms do not last forever – they eventually pass, leaving behind valuable lessons and stronger versions of ourselves. By acknowledging emotions, seeking support, practicing self-care, reframing thoughts positively, setting achievable goals, nurturing gratitude, and embracing change, we can stay strong and carry on despite everything falling apart around us. Trust in your inner strength; you have the power to overcome any storm that comes your way.

I'm going to record the experience that lead me back to Leviathan after our separation. I thank Him for reuinion.
It was my first time fishing on a boat. Night was falling, and I hadn't yet caught a single thing. The waters cast in the shade of the pine trees were almost black, black like his sea. I thought of Him and nearly wept.
It had been a long time since I had spoken to him last.
As a human being, my existence is terribly mundane. I see so many practitioners who experience visions, who hear the voices of their gods, and who travel the astral in search of answers to life's greatest questions. That is not me by a long shot. What words I might have heard of his are distorted by doubt, and I take ages to discern messages and signs. The last time Leviathan had been active in my life, he had put me in a situation I had never been in before. He had found me a new home away from my abusive household, and given me the chance at a different life.
Of course there were trials with the arrival of such a blessing. I have always suffered from neuroticism, anxiety, and various mental illnesses, and the change was rather overwhelming to me. I lost sight of what I was doing with my practice, and of any clarity. Instead of coming to him, I was afraid to show him that weakness, to bear the nakedness of my trembling, vulnerable state. So I fled. For nearly a year and a half.
Entirely to long for one to be away from their God.
So there I was. Surrounded by water on all sides, far from shore. I felt the weight of his presence bear down upon me, and his tears in my eyes. On my brass hook was a dead minnow hooked through the mouth and chin. Silver is His color. Silver like the moon that wasn't there that night. The last of the sunlight bled pink and orange into the sky, and instead of replacing the dead fish, I simply added a live one.
It wriggled, peirced through the tail beside its dead kin. My intuition told me where to cast my line. I decided to put aside my fears and trust.
I wasn't sure what I was waiting for. The last scarlet drops of blood from the sun slowly dripped away, and there was one single star drifting in the dark waters. I prayed to him. I apologized. I asked for a sign.
At that very moment, my line danced! Something had touched my hook for the first time since I'd arrived at the lake hours ago! My soul felt cold. I watched the bobber, waiting for it to dip under the waves, but it never did.
I reeled in my line. Only one minnow remained. The fish bucked and gasped, still alive, desperate for freedom. Something had taken the dead minnow, and left the living one. The presence dissipated. I stared at the fish, heart pounding. What did that mean?
I let the minnow go, and of course, it immediately flickered deep into the depths.
Of course, I had no idea what to make of it. Was that a sign at all? Was I attributing undue significance to yet another part of my simple existence? I felt as though he had said something to me... I felt as though I knew the Lord well enough to hear his answer... but what if?
I had to ask a very kind fellow practitioner to verify what I was thinking, but reflecting on the experience, I think I understand what He meant to tell me.
If that tiny, silver, simple minnow deserved a second chance... perhaps I do as well.

❝ i just…i just want her to be safe. ❞ [ ill let u decide who they talkin bout B) ]
In a rare way it feels like he's learning something new about Riku of all people. The one his younger self aspired to learn from and chase after, who became not only a great rival at one point, but genuinely one of the best friends he could truly ever ask for.
He realizes just how many years have passed since they've actually got to spend time together.
For an instant Riku's heartfelt sentiment prompts him to bring his gaze towards the shore side, where a proud, cerulean lash of waves continues to lap at the shoreline. A mercilessly rush of the sun brings iridescence to an almost fantasy like scale laying like a gentle embrace over their home, and in particular, to a certain Kairi who found herself whisked away in watching their old stomping grounds upon a different shore.
He doesn't bring any hesitation in letting his hand reach over, to settle a supportive balance upon their back as her boys studied the sight firsthand, countless tales of thoughts hidden in the heart and mind billowing forth akin to a rush of steam. Seeing these days have a promised frame of the future, to let their efforts allow frivolity to never be an essence lost to the trials awaiting them.
Would this be a simple matter of him projecting? Or did.. by chance he shared this thought too? Any initial uncertainty was short lived as his best friend's presence made those mute worries. "I do too. ...And y'know Riku? I think in wanting that, I really have come to see a lot.."
In moments that were too painfully sparse. The way she allows fiery red hair and the bravery of her being steel the expression on her face. How she never falls back on speaking her mind on her concerns, a spitfire way for her to lead the charge on her life. It was such a vivid change from the internalized frustrations to the soft, but caring resignation she had for his wishes once upon a time.
He wanted to keep her safe too.
Yet.. that safety?
It felt like it was a mistake the day a cataclysm fell upon their heads. Where the dark, poisonous wrath of Kingdom Hearts contained no less fell upon them, where an embodiment of the end days have taken the nigh lifeless forms of Xehanort, and of the thirteen.
Tumblr media
It was a form of Kairi he genuinely never knew existed.
A new way that she took the boundless power within, fashioning to with raw mettle and a heart full of resolve, equally determined as their united hearts to show that even this apparition that takes a form of death would be denied. Sora found his heart truly relishing in that wonder that stormed through him then, in allowing that undeniably faith that ran within her to be shared. For him to truly stop holding back on those doubts due to very real fears of losing her.
"What does it really mean to keep them safe?" It was a spark of clarity that bloomed. In many ways, the keybearer didn't think an answer could be so quickly found through words alone.
For it to be meaningfully ingrained, what they need is experience.
Only then would Sora's head drift in order to glance upward, allowing for the fire in soul to keep his eyes focused, to truly peer towards his companion's heart through the eyes in this moment.
"I've.. felt like I've been holding her back a good deal. And it might've put her into a lot more trouble than she would've been in otherwise. Kairi has a lot of incredible things that she's hiding.." And this wasn't strictly being spoken from a degree of smitten sentiment, though it certainly plays a part.
"Maybe there's some new ways we can learn how to keep someone safe."

3, 4, and 9 for Reforged!
Reblog if you are a fanfiction author and would like your readers to put one of your fic titles in your ask + questions about it
Gave me a hard one to answer right away, lol. I'm going to go with favorite bits, etc. from what is already posted to avoid spoilers. I'm also going to go with bits from relatively recent chapters because it's a massive fic and I haven't reread some of the earlier chapters in a bit.
Fic Context: Reforged
3: What’s your favorite line of narration?
This includes a tiny piece of the attached dialogue for clarity.
“Smoochies,” Rodimus announced, with all the grace of a thrown brick, before pursing his lips expectantly.
Excerpted from chapter 90.
Why is this my favorite? Because it's so damn ridiculous, especially in the broader context in which it occurs.
Looming sense of impending, inescapable pain and/or death
A bright moment of happiness in the midst of that
Not only already wanting affection from Megatron, but also expecting that this absurd demand is the best way to ask for it and the complete and utter expectation that this will have the desired result of a "smoochie."
Unexpected word choices for the comedic value
4: What’s your favorite line of dialogue?
“If you’re about to tell me that the gas ball outside is broken, I am not fixing it.”
Excerpted from chapter 92.
It's hard to pick favorite dialogue when one of your major speaking role characters is Rodimus. His dialogue is some of my favorite to write.
He is talking about a gas giant that Caminus orbits. His general refusal to refer to things in a technically specific ways leads to hilarious, irreverent turns of phrase.
He is 100% certain he might be asked to "fix" a "broken" planet.
He is also talking to a generally well-regarded, high-ranking priestess. The absolute disregard for authority in his word choice is fantastic.
9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic?
Well, there were other versions of trials/trial solutions that I ultimately didn't use, but not necessarily entirely alternate versions.
Unless you count that that when I started writing this, I thought I would be done in 20 chapters tops. You know, like a liar unaware that I was lying.
Spoilers (for earlier trials) below the cut.
The original solution to the third trial was going to be Star Saber appearing just in time to eat all off the scraplets. Hints of that plan are still pretty evident in that arc. The ultimate solution I went with seemed to fit better, but it was definitely a last minute switch.
One of the trials was going to be sending Rodimus out into the wilderness alone on a pilgrimage, something that adherents to the Way of Flame generally do as a rite of passage, to self-reflect and build something (a small, crude lantern) with materials he finds out there. This was scrapped pretty early on, but I kept a few aspects of it.
Originally, Rodimus was going to actually manage something fairly sword-shaped in the second trial and be the one who pulled Star Saber out (and got bitten). But I ultimately decided that wouldn't be failing hard enough and I wanted to better integrate Prowl into the narrative, so I had Prowl do it.
Also, originally, Prowl wasn't going to be in the fic. Neither were the flashback interrupt chapters of Solus, Megatronus, and the others from that time period.
I didn't intend to touch as much on those historical aspects because it was the modern reinterpretation of what the myths meant that mattered more than any factual basis. However, including them ended up being a great help narratively and provided additional clarification for the reader.
As far as Prowl, I... was realizing pretty early on that I needed an additional seemingly antagonistic force and he seemed an excellent person to cast in that role. He was perfectly poised for it. He was also a great window in Autobot weirdness that I couldn't necessarily get in the same way with other cast members (Minimus/Ultra Magnus).
It also gave me an opportunity to spend a lot of time developing a satisfying character arc for Prowl. 100% unintended but I'm glad for it. Also the reader shift in comments from disdain for Prowl as an antagonist to "oh no, is Prowl okay??? Prowl needs to sleep" has been delightful.

Pilates vs. Yoga: Choosing the Right Practice for You
Are you looking to enhance your physical and mental well-being but find yourself torn between Pilates and yoga? Don't worry you're not alone.
Both practices offer a multitude of benefits, but understanding their differences can help you decide which one aligns best with your goals and preferences. Let's delve into the world of PilatesChristchurch and yoga to help you make an informed choice.
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on building strength, flexibility, and endurance without putting undue stress on the joints.
Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century, this practice emphasises core strength, proper alignment, and controlled movements. Pilates exercises often incorporate specialised equipment like reformers, but mat-based routines are also widely practised.
Benefits of Pilates
Improved Core Strength:One of the primary goals of Pilates is to strengthen the core muscles, including the abdominals, lower back, and pelvic floor. A strong core not only enhances stability and balance but also reduces the risk of injury in daily activities.
Enhanced Flexibility:Through a combination of stretching and controlled movements, Pilates helps improve flexibility and range of motion in the muscles and joints. This increased flexibility can lead to better posture and reduced muscle tension.
Injury Rehabilitation:Many physical therapists recommend Pilates as part of injury rehabilitation programs due to its gentle yet effective nature. It can help individuals recover from injuries, alleviate chronic pain, and prevent future injuries by strengthening weak areas of the body.
What is Yoga?
Yoga is a centuries-old practice that originated in ancient India and encompasses a wide range of techniques for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
WhilePilatesChristchurchprimarily focuses on physical conditioning, yoga incorporates elements of mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation alongside physical postures (asanas).
Benefits of Yoga
Stress Reduction:Yoga's emphasis on mindfulness and deep breathing can help reduce stress levels and promote relaxation. By cultivating present-moment awareness, practitioners can learn to manage stress more effectively and find greater peace of mind.
Increased Balance and Stability:Like Pilates, yoga helps improve balance and stability through various standing and balancing poses. These poses not only strengthen the muscles but also enhance proprioception (the body's awareness of its position in space).
Mind-Body Connection:Yoga encourages a deeper connection between the mind and body, fostering greater self-awareness and introspection. This holistic approach to wellness can lead to improved mental clarity, emotional resilience, and overall well-being.
Tumblr media
Choosing the Right Practice for You
Ultimately, the choice between Pilates and yoga depends on your individual preferences, fitness goals, and health needs. If you're primarily interested in building strength, improving flexibility, and enhancing core stability, Pilates may be the ideal choice for you. On the other hand, if you're seeking a more holistic approach that addresses both physical and mental well-being, yoga might be a better fit.
Consider trying both Pilates and yoga classes to see which resonates with you the most. Many fitness studios offer introductory sessions or trial memberships, allowing you to experience each practice firsthand before making a commitment. Keep in mind that both Pilates and yoga can be modified to accommodate different fitness levels and physical limitations, so don't be afraid to communicate with instructors about your needs and concerns.
Final Thoughts
Whether you choosePilates Christchurch, yoga, or a combination of both, incorporating these practices into your routine can have profound benefits for your overall health and wellness.
By understanding the unique characteristics of each discipline and listening to your body's needs, you can embark on a journey towards greater strength, flexibility, and inner harmony.

State of affairs: Segment 2 - "In my 20's quarter-life crisis"
Within the shadows of quarter-life's stage, Where dreams collide and doubts engage, I tread the path of uncertainty's dance, In a world that demands my every chance.
Existential dread, a heavy cloak, Wrapped around my heart, it chokes. Confusion reigns, a constant hum, As I search for where I truly belong.
Anger pulses, a fiery tide, Fueled by aspirations denied. Impulsion calls, a reckless muse, Leading me where I may bruise.
Anxiety grips, a vice-like hold, In the quiet moments, it unfolds. Tummy aches, a silent plea, For clarity in this stormy sea.
Oh, to be twenty-something and adrift, In a sea of expectations, a fragile gift. To navigate the maze of adulting's trial, And find a moment of peace, a fleeting smile.
So here I stand, amidst the fray, A warrior in the light of day. Though the struggles may seem vast, I'll find my way, I'll make it last.

Case Study: How Effective Courtroom Exhibits Changed the Outcome of a Trial
Legal professionals have long understood the power of compelling storytelling in the courtroom. In the crucial moments when evidence is presented and arguments are made, the right visuals can turn the tide of a trial. Here, we look closely at a case study where the effective use of courtroom exhibits not only informed the jury but also directly impacted the outcome of a high-stakes trial.
Understanding the Power of Visuals in Persuasion
In the realm of law, where complex information is the norm, the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" couldn't be truer. Visual aids have a unique ability to simplify dense material, engage the audience, and enhance comprehension. Whether it's through graphs, animations, or physical objects, visuals can play a persuasive role in the courtroom.
The Case in Focus
Our case study centers around a medical malpractice trial where a hospital was being accused of negligence leading to a severe patient injury. The plaintiff’s team needed to explain the intricacies of a surgical error, making the complex medical procedure accessible to the jury without dumbing down the gravity of the situation.
The Visual Aid Innovation
Recognizing that still photographs didn't fully capture the motion dynamics at play during the surgery, the legal team collaborated with a 3D animation expert to create a vivid and detailed reenactment of the procedure. This animation was not only scientifically accurate but also strategically designed to highlight the specific points of error that led to the injury.
The Impact on Jury Perception
When the trial began, the jury was shown both the traditional still photographs and the 3D animation during the evidence presentation. The difference in their response was immediate and immensely positive for the plaintiff.
Enhanced Understanding
Jurors who might not have a medical background instantly grasped the sequence of events and the significance of each step. The moving 3D animation allowed them to "see" the misstep that led to the plaintiff's injury, which proved crucial in understanding the liability of the hospital.
Emotional Connection
Beyond comprehension, the animation fostered a connection between the jurors and the plaintiff's ordeal. The realistic visualization of the surgery humanized the case, making it more than just a series of clinical procedures but an experience fraught with potential for human error.
The Verdict
Following the presentation of visuals, the overall sentiment in the courtroom had shifted. The jury, armed with a newfound clarity and empathy, returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff, awarding significant damages for the harm suffered.
Key Takeaways for Courtroom Success
This case study highlights several important lessons for lawyers and courtroom presenters:
Know Your Audience: Understand the jury’s comprehension level and craft visual aids that speak directly to them.
Choose Quality Over Quantity: It's not about how many exhibits you can present, but how effectively they convey the critical points of your case.
Invest in Innovation: Sometimes, the right visual aid requires outside expertise. Don't shy away from involving specialists to create compelling materials.
Practice and Timing: Ensure that your presentation with the visual aid is well-rehearsed for a smooth delivery that supports your argument.
In the end, the success of your visual aids is not just about what you show, but how you show it and what the jury takes away from the experience. In the age of information overload, the right visual can distill complexity into a convincing narrative that captures both the reason and the emotion behind your case.

Finding Strength in Struggle: Navigating Challenges to Your Faith
In life, it's not uncommon to face moments when holding on to our faith feels like an uphill battle. Whether grappling with personal trials, questioning beliefs, or feeling disconnected from spirituality, these struggles can weigh heavily on our hearts and minds. However, it's important to recognize that facing challenges to our faith is a natural part of the human experience. In these moments, it's not about avoiding the struggle, but rather about finding strength and resilience to navigate through it. Here are some strategies to help you hold on to your faith during difficult times:
Acknowledge Your Feelings: It's okay to admit when you're struggling. Acknowledge your doubts, fears, and uncertainties without judgment. Sometimes, simply allowing yourself to feel and express these emotions can be the first step towards finding peace and clarity.
Seek Support: Don't hesitate to reach out to trusted friends, family members, or members of your faith community for support. Sharing your struggles with others can provide comfort, perspective, and reassurance that you're not alone in your journey.
Engage in Spiritual Practices: Reconnect with your faith through prayer, meditation, scripture reading, or other spiritual practices that resonate with you. These practices can help you feel grounded, centered, and connected to something greater than yourself, even in the midst of uncertainty.
Reflect on Past Experiences: Look back on moments in your life when your faith has helped you through challenging times. Reflecting on these experiences can remind you of the strength and resilience that lies within you, as well as the presence of divine guidance and support.
Seek Guidance: Consider seeking guidance from spiritual leaders, counselors, or mentors who can offer insight, wisdom, and guidance tailored to your spiritual journey. They can provide perspective, answer questions, and offer support as you navigate your struggles.
Practice Self-Compassion: Be gentle and compassionate with yourself as you navigate your journey of faith. Remember that it's okay to have doubts, questions, and struggles – they are all part of the human experience. Treat yourself with kindness, patience, and understanding as you navigate through difficult times.
Stay Open-Minded: Remain open to new insights, perspectives, and experiences that may challenge or enrich your faith journey. Embrace curiosity and a willingness to learn and grow, even when faced with uncertainty or doubt.
Connect with Nature: Spend time in nature, soaking in the beauty and serenity of the natural world. Whether it's a walk in the park, a hike in the mountains, or simply sitting by the ocean, connecting with nature can provide solace, inspiration, and a sense of awe and wonder that can help restore your faith and perspective.
Practice Gratitude: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude by focusing on the blessings, beauty, and goodness in your life, even amidst challenges. Take time each day to reflect on the things you're thankful for, no matter how small. Gratitude can help shift your focus from what's lacking to what's abundant in your life, fostering a sense of faith and trust in the divine.
Trust the Process: Remember that faith is a journey, not a destination. Trust that the challenges you're facing are an integral part of your spiritual growth and development. Have faith that you're exactly where you need to be, and that the struggles you're experiencing are ultimately leading you towards greater understanding, wisdom, and peace.
Turn To the Bible: The bible mentions having Faith 79 times - Just a few scriptures to turn to are: Judges 9:15, 1 Samuel 2:9, 1 Kings 3:6. Romans 3:28, Hebrews 6:28 and the list goes on - there are 18 Scriptures on Faith in the Old Testament and 61 in the New Testament - Read Gods word until your Faith returns
Struggling to hold on to your faith is a natural and normal part of the human experience. By acknowledging your feelings, seeking support, engaging in spiritual practices, and staying open-minded, you can navigate through these challenges with strength, resilience, and grace. Remember that you're not alone in your journey, and that with patience, self-compassion, and trust, you can find peace and clarity amidst the struggles.

Shaina Tranquilino
January 8, 2024
Tumblr media
Throughout history, individuals seeking solace, guidance, and spiritual connection have turned to prayer as a powerful tool. Among the numerous forms of prayer, one stands out for its profound impact on millions of believers worldwide - the rosary. This beautiful and contemplative practice holds immense benefits that extend beyond religious boundaries, offering peace, clarity, and a deeper sense of connection with oneself and a higher power. In this blog post, we will explore some of the remarkable advantages of praying the rosary.
1. Tranquility in Times of Chaos: In our fast-paced modern world filled with stressors and distractions, finding moments of inner tranquility is crucial for maintaining emotional well-being. The repetitive recitation of prayers while holding the beads provides an opportunity for stillness and reflection. As each bead slips through our fingers, we are transported to a place of calmness and serenity within ourselves.
2. Enhanced Focus and Concentration: The rhythmic nature of praying the rosary aids in developing focus and concentration skills. Through this practice, our minds learn to ignore external distractions and turn inward towards prayerful thoughts or intentions. Regularly engaging in this meditative exercise can improve mental acuity even outside prayer sessions.
3. Deepening One's Relationship with God or a Higher Power: Praying the rosary fosters a sincere connection with God or any other divine entity one may believe in. Each decade offers an opportunity to reflect upon various aspects of faith such as virtues, mysteries, or events from scripture. This intimate dialogue helps strengthen personal spirituality by promoting self-reflection, gratitude, forgiveness, and trust in a higher power.
4. A Source of Comfort during Difficult Times: Life presents us with trials that can sometimes feel overwhelming. During these challenging periods, turning to the rosary can provide solace like no other form of prayer can offer. By seeking solace in the repetitive prayers and meditations, the rosary becomes a source of comfort, reminding us that we are not alone and that there is always hope.
5. A Pathway to Inner Peace: Praying the rosary allows individuals to enter into a state of deep peace and inner harmony. The soothing rhythm of reciting Hail Marys and contemplating on sacred mysteries has a calming effect on the mind and body. This peacefulness carries into daily life, promoting emotional stability, resilience, and an overall sense of well-being.
6. Cultivating Virtues and Personal Growth: The rosary serves as a powerful tool for personal growth by encouraging the cultivation of virtues such as patience, humility, compassion, and self-discipline. As one engages in this prayerful practice regularly, they become more aware of their actions, attitudes, and intentions - leading to positive behavioural changes over time.
Praying the rosary is undoubtedly a transformative spiritual practice with far-reaching benefits for people from diverse backgrounds. It offers solace amidst chaos, strengthens focus and concentration skills, deepens one's relationship with God or a higher power, provides comfort during challenging times, nurtures inner peace, and fosters personal growth through virtuous living. Whether you are religious or simply seeking a means to connect with your spirituality in a profound way, adding the rosary to your prayer routine can bring about remarkable transformations within yourself.
