okay, the gist for anyone just stumbling into the post: this idea (WHICH I CAME UP WITH BEFORE GOTHAM WAR STARTED) is about how jason (new earth version) fought someone with mental powers that left his psyche and his memories scrambled and in need of repairs. and lo and behold comes bruce (with the help of some friends), to fix it but... taking some creative licenses in the process.
the result is a jason who thinks he's a normal 20-something, no family, going to college in gotham. things seem fine and normal on the surface! jason is studying biochemistry! he's in a theatre club that's doing pygmalion! he works in a suicide prevention hot-line! funded by... well I'm sure you can guess that one. but. something is clearly Wrong. and then something brings his memories back and all bets are off. this is fucking war.
timeline wise, I'm undecided. one thing I am very clear is that damian had NOT being introduced to bruce & co before this happened (and hasn't yet, because talia saw that shit and went. yeah no fucking way). but I also want to take into account jason's little arc in outsiders (2003) where he helps dick save black lightning, which in terms of publishing, happened about a year after damian's introduction. it's okay though, it's fic, I can shuffle things around xD
it's likely I'll have a while happen between the mind-wipe and the story starting, just to stretch the timeline and also allow for steph's return, because I want her there. I also want to read cass's post-brainwashing arc to see what I want her role to be, because hers is the one I'm most unclear on rn and I feel that arc could help me decide.

hell yeah @allsassnoclass tagged me to post snippets from WIPs with the words "warm," "heavy," "almost," and "talk" !! let's fucking go. fair warning: these WIPs are for the assorted fandoms of 5sos, percy jackson, teen wolf, supernatural, and hawkeye/mcu. okay lessgo.

Dean feels warm as he tightens the knot on Cas’s tie and leans away.
“Is there something I'm missing?” Sam interjects.
“No.” Dean and Cas, simultaneously.
5sos:
"Michael, this water is perfectly warm," Luke calls over. "You've probably been using the wrong handle."
Michael turns on his heel and scurries over to the sink. He sticks a finger in the stream; it's comfortably lukewarm, despite the fact that only one faucet handle has been twisted. The one for cold water, Michael is sure. Pretty sure. "The hell?"
heavy (none of my open WIPs had this word damn dude i had to break out the summer camp fic for this one!!)
“Yeah, it looks like a lot of heavy lifting,” Michael says distastefully. “That’s why I’d never do it. I’m not so bad with A/V stuff but between an air-conditioned office with constant access to the internet and having to be out in the sun all day doing physical labor, it’s a no-brainer.”
“Yeah,” Calum says. He laughs. “Well, that’s how we’re different. I like the time in the sun. And the physical labor really isn’t so bad. We’ve got golf carts, which makes it easier.”

Dean blinks and stares. His voice shoves one word from the traffic jam in his throat. “Mom?”
teen wolf:
“Eh,” Malia says, back to human and brushing dirt from her clothes. “It’s fine.”
“It’s not fine! I just almost killed you!”
“I almost killed you too,” Malia says, as if she wants it known that she was just as capable of killing Kira as vice versa. “But I think the bigger question is, why did we almost kill each other?”

“It's fine,” he says quickly. “I'm trying to learn Ancient Greek, I just didn't see the sign.”
“You almost got eaten.” Percy sets his shoulders. “This is a problem.”
“It's not a problem.”
“Too late, it's a problem. Don't worry, I'm on the case.”

The young man sits up, then freezes and grips both edges of the sofa, instantly several shades paler. “Fuck. I don’t feel good.”
“Did you even hear me say you were almost killed?” Michael, hesitant to touch his apparently amnesiac patient, tries to pin him with a glare instead. “Lie down. It’s only been a day and a half. You need rest, you’re probably just disoriented and concussed.”
i am really entertained by the fact that every one of these snippets discusses a character who is in some way suffering or almost died. that says something probably but i don't know what!

“What were you dreaming about?”
“Kristen Stewart,” Dean says icily. “Drop it, okay?”
Cas says, “You can talk to me, you know,” and puts a hand on Dean’s shoulder.
Dean flinches.

👀 would love to hear more abt the mob AU from the WIP ask game if that's ok
Oh, well! It’s not actually anything new haha, I started writing an amnesiac son-of-mafia-Wayne Jason AU a long time ago... I posted several chapters of it before I took it down. I will pick it up again with more gusto once I’ve got the energy for it. I really love the idea, so that definitely will happen! But I guess I’m also at the stage where I’m learning to write for myself? Trying to edit and polish my works until I feel happy with their quality, rather than half-heartedly post something I’m not 100% convinced I love.
The original premise was that an amnesiac Jason thought to be dead by the Wayne family is trying to be your friendly neighbourhood good-guy, but unwittingly attracts the attention of the Wayne Mob in doing so. Identity shenanigans ensue! It didn’t start out as a role-reversal, but slowly I came around to the idea that: “Hey, what if Jason was the only Wayne that refused to use guns...?”
Anyway, the whole story is it bits and pieces in my brain again! But thank you so much for the ask! This was fun to share!

Here's every WIP, original and otherwise, I've got running right now. I've got older projects I may dig up someday and gods know I'll come up with more, so I'll add/subtract as things change.
Help me stay motivated! Feel free to ask anytime about any of these projects, characters, or fics!
Current fics:
Becoming is Unbecoming (IHNMAIMS, 9/? chapters)-- jelly!Ted finds the other survivors. Mostly hurt/comfort.
Sympathy for the Devil (IHNMAIMS, 1/? chapters)--AM gets trapped in Ted's head after the events of the game. Hurt/Comfort, angst, slow recovery, character exploration.
Original Stories:
Wyatt and Malcolm, aka the Oriaz Crew-- fantasy world with undead demon-slayers and the strange things they fight. The grumpy one is friends with the sunshine one. Found family out the wazoo.
Reid and Leif-- sci-fi fighter pilot rebelling against the system in the name of his lost brother. Technopathy and brain-to-brain interfacing. Political rebellion, global war, some aliens maybe.
Lenny-- a young tech nerd gets swept up in an Illuminati-esque organization fighting a supergenius who makes cyborgs. Body horror, found family, lots of violence and gore, spy-type stuff.
Mordred and Valiant-- an outlaw alchemist and a failed succubus both find out they're "special." The second closest thing to romance I'll ever write. Fantasy, gore, some religious critique, possibly sex.
Delphi, Shiloh, and Nestor-- in a post-WWIII world, mutants made for combat are finding other ways to survive. The closest thing to romance I'll ever write. Exploration of abusive relationships, sci-fi, a touch of noir, spy stuff, gay sex.
Shit I think about but never write:
Leander and Calleo-- what happens when the "chosen one" loses to the baddies; a world-ending demon is trapped in his long-suffering vessel, hijinks ensue.
Jason Liakos-- the son of a famous geneticist is legally claimed by the organization his dad made for having patented combat genes. Technically my first novel, not that I ever actually wrote it.
Tilion/Elijah and Autumn-- a dragonslayer from the past is transported to a future where dragons and humans coexist.
Mark and Jared-- a young mage discovers his place in an urban fantasy and finds himself, not proudly, the low man on the pole beside his hyper-powerful friends. YA-ish.
Cyrus-- manmade monster combat is everyone's favorite gladiator sport until someone enters a mostly-human combatant. Gore, body horror, poorly-written political intrigue.
Vaalik plots-- shapeshifting aliens invade earth. There are, like, three different plots that run through this concept at different points in the story. October is an amnesiac soldier that befriends an alien; London is part of the cleanup crew in the early days of the truce; Dez, Russ, and Kat run control on the results of mutating alien diseases.
Tom, Rich, and Basil-- three teenage boys on a crazy fun frat-boy adventure to expunge the demon from Tom's body. Not actually as fun as it sounds.

"I think its time we leave."
"No way, no how. Arty you cheeky scoundral! You brought the mysterious and illustrious Diana to meet me and weren't even going to tell me? You are that Diana aren't you?"
"I take it artemis talks about us then?" asked Diana uncertainly, her equilibrium yet to recover from realising that the poor girl truly remembered nothing and that this wasn't an elaborate ploy.
Glancing up from her tea with a look of mild suprise over Diana's conclusion, Jay- Jessica quickly began to pout saying, "Oh no, the great and powerful amazon is rather cowtoed by mother and refuses to say anything about anyone I might have known before unless it's 1 of her fellow outlaws."
"If Artemis never said anything then how did you know of Diana? And why would you hold someone that you admit to knowing nothing about in such obviously high regard?" queried Donna, her expression politely blank with a hint of confusion.
A rich throaty laugh tumbled from the woman as she ripped back her head and grinned, biright and easy in a way that pulled painfully at her heart with how it reminded her of fonder times.
"I named 1 of my daughters after her, I would hope that she was a woman to be held in high regard."
There shock and must have been evident though as the humour faded and concern set in.
“I take it my past self didn't inform you then."
I- that would mean you were pregnant when-"
"When I had my car accident, yes. My little miracles, really are well, Miracles seeing as they survived that. Though the technology my mother has access to no doubt helped."

so uhh im sorry i haven’t written anything lately so here!! have some wips!!
also aka just saying requests are open. it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll get written, but i need inspo fsjndf
anyway these are the wips i’m most inclined to write atm
1)
The charming smile is gone, replaced with a volatile glare that has you on edge. It looks surreal on his face. It doesn’t belong there. Dick’s lips had always always been curved into some semblance of an easy grin. At least, around you.
This Dick is foreign.
He takes a step forward and your back hits brick.
“Who are you and why have you been following me around?”
“I--” you eagerly drink in his appearance, desperately trying to imprint this image of him healthy and whole into your brain. Today, he’s not lying on a hospital bed, eyes closed and face pallid. Today he’s not connected to several machines keeping him alive with bandages wrapped around his head.
Today he’s alive.
He’s different, and it’s more than the shaved head, the crumpled clothing, and the scent of alcohol on breath.
It’s the lips twisted into an annoyed scowl, the narrowed eyes, and the coarse way he holds himself, taking up all the space in the room, leaving no room for anybody else. The way he regards you suspiciously, like a stranger, makes the organ in your chest stutter, and you realize you must be shaking.
“Well?”
You meet his eyes. “Just an acquaintance of Barbara’s,” you say evenly, “she’s worried about you, you know.”
The scowl deepens and his hand comes up to run through hair that isn’t there anymore. You catch his hand stilling before he jerks it back down to his side.
2)
Jason’s angry.
“You’re in cahoots with the goddamn League?” he seethes and grabs your shoulder as if he can shake some sense into you. “That’s what you’ve been doing these past months? Killing for a bunch of psychopathic assholes?”
“I don’t work for anyone,” you say coolly, watching in detached interest as several expressions of varying anger flicker over his face in quick succession.
Jason barks out laughter, curt and mocking. “Yeah, that’s right. Freelance aren’t you?” He spits out the word like poison on his tongue. “How’s that working out for you? Working with Slade?”
Before you can turn, he slams you against the wall, and righteous fury burns in his eyes, hot breath fanning your face. “He’s dead for less than a year and you’re off gallivanting off with the one person that wanted him dead the most?” The words are carelessly flung, a slap to your face, designed with the intent to hurt.
There’s an odd glint in his eye. He’s observing you,
“If Dick were her--”
You draw back, face obscured by the darkness. “Stop.”
For the first time this night, Jason sees something resembling human in your face, and he falters. Slightly.
You don’t have time for this. There’s a deadline and a man that needs to be dead by the time the clock strikes midnight.
“Goodbye Jason.”
Before you turn, there’s a flash of desperation in his eyes. His hand darts out and encircles your wrist, and you bite down on your tongue. You haven’t been touched since Dick died.
His hands are so warm.
There’s a challenge in his gaze. He’s daring you to say something, do something. His tightens his grip and a shudder rips through your body, yet you meet his stare evenly, eyes betraying nothing.
“Bruce is looking for you.” He hesitates. “If he catches you...”
“Then let him.” You wrench yourself out of his grip, eyes hardened into a cold stare he doesn’t recognize. “I can take him.”
3)
“Take it from a guy who was beaten to death with a crowbar.”
Jason’s voice is uncharacteristically soft, a gentle caress against your ear that should make you shudder, but instead you relish in his warmth, his hand rubbing soothing circles onto your back.
“The dead never stay dead.”

- Naruto, rock lee/gaara story in which gaara visits lee in hospital following the exams and tries to kill him again, only to get a crush on him instead
- NiF, yan yujin/mu nihuang, in which nihuang realizes she can't keep putting off her marriage and instead decides to chose someone who will let her keep being master of her house instead, approaching yujin with a deal. probably gonna be poly YY/MN/jingrui
- OP, law/luffy soulmates fic, in which soulmates swap bodies. covering ASL and law's childhood from a young age, then focusing heavily on the marineford arc
- ? Solo Levelling, mayyyybeeee a jin-woo/jin-chul in which the process of the double dungeon causes jw to loose all empathy and most human emotion and he starts casually using jc as a measuring stick for emotions and morality instead
- 2HA, mo ran/chu wanning god!au fic, in which cw is a god of justice who takes mr under his wing, and intercedes dramatically when the results of the evil heart flower end up with mr being put on trial
- Heaven Officials Blessing, xl/hc canon divergence, in which xl does a favor for a ghost and ends up in the ghost city much much earlier
- FF7, sephiroth/cloud, time travel AU in which cloud is send back in time, barely remembers any of it, and ends up as a semi-amnesiac serial killer? assassin? bouncer/dancing girl at the honeybee inn
- FF7, sephiroth/cloud, also a time travel AU, but this time sephiroth POV, in which be goes back in time, is un-mad-ified, and decides to take everything in hand by killing jenova and staging a coup, all while keeping an obsessive eye on cloud

- DCU/Star Wars, in which a semi eldritch and very fed up Jason finds himself in the seedy underbelly of Coruscant with the voice of the sentient spirit of Gotham in his head giving him helpful advice

what fandoms do you have fic for?
just the batfamily! in days gone by, i scribbled bits and pieces of fic for other fandoms, but i never posted or finished any.
how many fic documents do you have and where do they live?
google docs: 20ish, but a lot of them are just different revisions of red letter day scenes. (making characters fight is hard.)
rtf: a really really really long file just titled “robin fic” with unsorted scenes and scene ideas.

WIPs that I have actually posted some of:
Two of Six: Dick and Tim’s preboot relationship, from the beginning all the way to the end. or: how Dick acquired a stalker, attempted to make him go away, and failed so badly that he acquired a brother instead. (Essentially a novelization of all the post-Crisis canon that I like.)
Red Letter Day: Dick Grayson, stressed pseudo-parent to a preteen assassin, tries to solve the case of Damian’s Mysterious Wednesday. He never expected it to help him fix his relationship with Tim, too.
Snow Falling Like Stars: Red Robin!Tim’s arrested in Siberia and thrown into a secret prison. Dick disguises himself as an interrogator and infiltrates the prison in order to free him.
Unposted fics that I have written sporadic bits-and-pieces from and which mostly exist in my head (under the cut because it's long):
Dick's "It's A Wonderful Life" fic! (Dick, suicidal and depressed, finds a magical rose garden where he can make a wish to change reality, and he's ready to erase himself from existence...he just needs to find a timeline where his death won't have any bad consequences. Spoiler: this is a harder task than Dick thinks it will be)
The nu52 / soulbond / Spyral fusion fic! (Dick and Tim have a big fight post-Damian’s death and pre-Spyral; Tim and Damian later get close post-Dick’s disappearance; angst all around)
The Dick & Tim therapy fic! (Dick gets a job as a counselor for troubled teens…and gets assigned to a group that includes “Alvin Draper,” much to Dick and Tim’s mutual consternation)
The extremely comic nerd post-Crisis + Rebirth crossover fic! (my pitch: what if nu52 Tim was the person Tim might’ve been had his life not gotten transformed by meeting Dick Grayson?)

If half-published WIPs count, it’s Red Letter Day, which has over 100k (though, uh...pre-editing).
what fic types are most common in your wips?
i like 1) unreliable narrators with strong opinions, 2) mysteries, 3) characters who don’t understand each other well, 4) parallels, and 5) conflict + reconciliation + hugs.

I have several WIPs that I'm working on (sporadically), but only one posted multi-chapter fic. That's because I've learned my lesson and want to have a good handle on the main plot before I post the others anywhere. The fic in question can be found here:
And occasionally I'll rant/whine about how the writing is going under the tag '100miles'. Coincidentally, the next chapter is almost ready. I just need to power through the last few hundred words.

Other than that, I think I had posted a list of WIPs a while back, but either tumblr ate it or I can't find it, so.
Hunger Games AU - I've got about 3~ chapters written and a pretty solid concept of what I want to happen. Main focus will be on Tim and Steph (they're the tributes from district 12 and you could make an argument for either of them being the "Katniss" of the story), but the batfam will feature heavily.
Post Spyral AU - I have talked about this before extensively, but this one centers around the batfam learning the circumstances under which Dick agreed to fake his death. And rightfully being horrified and giving him all the love and appreciation he deserves. Not much written yet for this one yet.
Jason Lives AU - Because I love suffering and making characters suffer also, Jason survives Ethiopia, but Bruce doesn't. Anything else I could say about it at this point would be a spoiler. I've got a couple thousand words written and a lot of ideas, but nothing solid yet. Mainly trying to figure out how the other characters are going to feature and what the most obvious changes will be.
Swimming AU - ?? Maybe. Might be a thing that will happen at some point. The idea was born bc I was on a swim team for 11 years and I have to vent somehow. I did start writing it but all I have so far is like 95 % angst and only 5 % swimming.
Dead Dick AU - Despite the name, he's only semi-dead. Characters who have died before (Jason, Damian) can communicate with him and think they're going mad with grief. It's very cheerful. Maybe I knew where I was going with it when I started writing it, but it's been a good few months and I honestly don't remember.
Jason & Damian LOA AU - Assuming I ever actually get around to writing it, this one will be separated into two main stories. Part 1 will deal with Jason and Damian meeting and bonding after Jason's resurrection, and will end with them escaping the League. Part 2 will deal with them travelling the world and eventually returning to Gotham. Additionally, there's a couple of ficlets set some time after those main fics on my AO3. Because I made the mistake of writing out of order and then I really wanted some validation. You can find them here:

what’s the amnesia Jason fic about?
oh, that's a fun one.
(just to get this out of the way: I came up with this idea BEFORE gotham war even started ñlkasjdfasf)
the premise is that, at some point previous to the story, jason was in a fic with some supervillain that utterly broke his psyche, to the point where it needed someone to go into his mind to heal him. and bruce, aided by the justice leaguer who did it, took some... creative licenses along the way.
cue the present. jason last-name-not-todd goes to gotham university on a wayne scholarship. he's looking into biochemistry. he's in a theatre group (they're doing pygmalion). he works (suicide prevention hotline). things seem fine.
things seem fine but some weird shit is going on. with him. with the weird dreams he has. with the weird people sometimes popping in and out of his life.
at one point jason gets some help from an unexpected source, and recovers his memories. then all bets are off.
(timeline-wise I've been thinking of setting this before damian's appearance. that's a little tricky because I want steph to appear -some of what I first wrote from this fic were amnesiac!jason-steph interactions-, but talia has her own part to play and in this story she has an obvious, really good reason to NOT want to take damian to bruce, so all of that can be delayed)

Red Hood: Outlaw #35
It’s actually really under-reaching issue. As it tends to be with everything since Artemis and Biz got stranded in alternative dimension. There’s some build-up, and there’s some resolution. But the setup and payoff - they just do not do anything for me. It has potential! Lobdell just likes to fuck himself over or something.
So, Penguin is amnesiac, and he magically forgets only about Red Hood’s identity. How convenient. (also, I said it and will say it again, THIS FANDOM NEEDS MORE AMNESIA FICS. DO NOT SHY AWAY OF USING OVERUSED TROPES. CANON USES OVERUSED TROPES.For example, here’s awesome WIP from one of the best get action writers in fandom - and just one of my favorites - redtruthed’s knowing me, knowing you sorry not sorry for offtopic)
As @scandalsavagefanfic said, it is possible that Jason did shoot blanks and the point of contact or something something could have hurt Penguin but how do you just, plan it out - you can’t, realistically. I believe more in soul-swallowing swords than this. So, okay. Maybe, seeing the full page and not just one panel from it made me discard - for now - my theory of Jason being delusional (and still, you can pry my headcanon of Jason being unreliable narrator from my cold dead hands). Yet, it is still ridiculous.
I am - surprisingly - not pissed off as a good portion of people I follow or seen in tags here are, at Bruce, for not checking if Jason used the real bullet or a blank one. It was never the point. Not for Bruce at the moment - or at all, ever since “Did he fell or was he pushed”. So I’m not pissed or disappointed because, yeah, Bruce not caring about the fine details when he gets an opportunity to assert he’s good, jason’s bad, and to work out some of his frustration from getting dumped by Selina - that’s what the “12 angry men” homage in Batman was about, wasn’t it. (though Bruce rectified his ‘error’ there - does not that piss you off, guys?)
Miguel. Yet another character who did not reach his full potential. If he does not come back to fight with Red Hood to sort out their differences, or to do it any other way, that’s sad. But if he does, that would be like with Essence - so I hope it would get a different outcome, at least. Not because I want Bunker to beat up Red Hood - it’s just, everything is too easy for Jason, lately. Everything goes right. That’s great! But also boring. And it would be repetitive, too. On the other hand, if we continue with Jason worrying about the state of his mortal soul or whatever, or if he does not but we, readers, start to - that would give us at least some conflict that is not a one-dimensional reflection of recurring theme with Jason’s relationships with Essence, Bruce, whoever else.
Wingman is Willis Todd, alright,we knew it already. And what about it? He does not really add anything to the plot.I’m bitter about it. They could have at least made their relationships hold more meaning. Make Jason tell ‘James’ and not Isabel about his father, and childhood - make Willis react to that. Show us the drama. It’s like watching a very low-key telenovela. There’s your secret parents, coming back from dead, all the good stuff - and it is not used as a plot point. Such a waste.
Suzie getting the Ice Lounge, Is getting the Dog. Where Jason planned to go, after leaving Gotham? Good thing Lex found him when he did. Because can you really imagine it? Jason training his own proteges - a new generation of Outlaws. Please, do not fuck it up, Lobdell. I will love you forever if you pull it off.
All in all, I still liked the issue, even if it could have been so much better, in various ways, some of which I haven’t mentioned here, and some I did not think about. But, you know. That’s what we have fanfiction for.If it was perfect, would we write or read fics for it?

Favourite story you’ve written so far: Probably one of my WIPs, tbh (actually I’d say my original work based on my wild as fuck connected dreams that I may or may not ever publish) but of the complete ones, I’ll say It Need Not Follow (JayRoy) bc I really enjoy writing misunderstandings that turn out well and I amused myself a lot writing the confrontation between Jason and Roy in that one
Fic you were nervous to post: Of my recent ones, I’d say Worth the Wait because it was my first JayRoy fic and also it has a darker, more serious tone than a lot of what I write (although recently I’ve been in the mood to write heavier emotional scenes, so maybe that’s not quite true anymore).
How do you choose your titles: My preferred method is choosing a recurring theme or meaningful quote from the work as the title, but if I’m struggling to find one I like, I’ll sometimes use song lyrics or references to other works that vibe with the story. Mostly I use the latter for chapter titles rather than work titles, though.
Do you outline: I never mean to, but on longer fics I always end up losing the thread of the story and I end up having to outline anyway. Usually I just type a paragraph or two about what I want to have happen, or I’ll make a list of the things I don’t want to forget to include (mostly jokes for comedy pieces).

>A kinda sorta requested fic about the Bats needing to find the Supers and finding them at a good old fashioned midwestern barn dance that ends with the Bats having to square dance
>A fic based on an idea I had three years ago that Amanda Grayson from Star Trek is Dick Grayson’s descendant where she accidentally travels into the past and meets him
>A JayRoy bodyguard fic that was, again, supposed to be a short comedy but has quickly morphed into something huge about Jason refusing to become the Red Hood and instead getting revenge on Bruce via a long prank where he becomes Oliver Queen & family’s bodyguard but they don’t know who he is
>An experimental piece to help me explore relationships where a magical artifact traps various people connected to Jason in a strange, empty world that feels a bit apocalyptic but isn’t. There are four total groups of people, each in a different location to start with, and they basically have to work all their issues with each other out before they can leave.
>My one and only Bruce-centric fic designed to keep the Graysons alive where a lot of the same elements of Batman’s story happen but for different reasons, all beginning with Bruce’s parents getting shot outside the circus instead of the theater, Bruce getting amnesia, and John Grayson convincing his family to take in the injured amnesiac boy he finds

with my 2024 wip list locked and loaded (under the cut).
send me “spoiler!” + a number from 1 to 25 and ill give u a vague spoiler abt a story im writing
1001 nights. Thanks to Batman: The Cult, Jason must know how to deprogram someone. In The Man Who Stopped Laughing, he discovers that Joker goes around brainwashing people into Joker-lites. Do the math.
5 times dick and zatana fooled around on dick's birthday and 1 time they didn't. What it says. I consider it part of the same continuity as my longer Young Justice WIP.
aditf: jason survives. I came up with this one before the fauximile, and it doesn't follow that. It'll focus on Jason's recovery and asks questions about what his survival would have changed in Batman comics as a whole, going forward.
amnesiac!jason. Circa new-earth, before Damian entered the picture. Jason faced something that broke his psyche and, while it was getting fixed, Bruce took creative licenses. Now Jason lives a "normal" life, starting college, working... but something is clearly WRONG. I swear I came up with this story before Gotham War xD, but there were some eerie parallels that jumpted at me as I read lol.
batwoman / robin: 2.0. AU of Batwoman's third season. Upon the realisation that a lot of what instantly appealed to me about batwoman!Ryan is similar to what appeals to me about robin!Jason, I decided to sit down and write about it. And I took advantage of it to tackle some changes I really didn't like in s3.
caretaker red hood (prev. bloodsharing wip). I read that at least in some comics it's been said that Jason (and Bruce, but that's less relevant) is 0-. I engineered a situation where the (still masked) Red Hood had to give a blood transfusion on the field to Bruce, and to take care of his injuries.
cass & jason: street kids. Cass makes it to Gotham a bit earlier, wandering the city, homeless. Just around the time a catatonic Jason is around, sharing his food with other homeless people. And just in time for her to intervene when people try to take Jason away.
convergence + incorporated: hold my beer (brand new!). Takes the end of the new earth timeline and puts Jason & Bruce on a difference direction, taking inspiration from Convergence: Batman and Robin, the basic premise of Batman Incorporated, and explores how Bruce killing Darkseid could've affected things.
damon and elena: marriage of doom. the quieter horror that I think Elena and Damon's marriage would inevitably be (especially in an universe where Damon put his money where his mouth was re: alienating others, and he killed Jeremy instead of Tyler).
dc vs. vampires, re-imagined. I read the first volume of that story and I was... disappointed. I decided to do my own spin on it: more character focused, less about the JL/saving the world~~ shenanigans. And obviously, Jason lives xD (well. Technically).
desperate housewives/spn crossover. all based on a dream I had where Tom Scavo was brutally killed by some monster and the late-seasons spn team came to infiltrate the suburbs and investigate LOL.
gotham: bruce plots a murder. Future fic set on the Fox show, about how that Bruce might react to Valeska killing Jason. The title sounds tongue-in-cheek but this is very angsty I swear.
gotham war: everything gets worse. Exactly that xD. I took what happened to Jason in GW seriously and poured more angst over it. What if he got hurt in some incurable way that meant he'd need to change his life going forward? What if he couldn't bring himself to save the child in Catwoman #57? What if the Joker did something much worse to "cure" him? And so on and so forth.
rogue green lantern!Jason. Someone on reddit joked about how, if Jason "overcame great fear" during Gotham War, he could get a ring. I don't think he'd join the Corps, but he would also not renounce to such power coming at a time of such vulnerability either.
immortal!Jason. It's basically canon that new earth!Jason came back from things that should have killed him with no explanation. So what if he can resurrect, over and over? This is about each of the Bats finding out about it.
orpheus!jayeddie. Jason finds out that Kid/Red Devil, his only peer from back in the day, got his soul sent to Hell.
jason + joker’s last laugh. Jason finds out about what happened in that arc (Dick beating the Joker to death, Bruce resucitating him). It only makes things worse.
jason’s journals. AU of War Games. Steph survives and is recovering in the Manor. There, she finds some old journals, written by the mysterious second Robin... and she, Tim, and Cass start to unravel the stories they'd been told about Jason vs. what he wrote himself. Just in time for the Red Hood to come into town.
jason’s new rules. Jason takes a victim's death really hard and reevaluates. Set on some amalgam of the main continuity, post-Alfred's death.
journalist!dick. Prompted by a tumblr post discusing how he could've gotten inspired to be an investigative journalist (thanks to Clark & Lois!). It takes things from Nightwing & Batman comics, and from the UTRH animated film, twisting some things around (for example, in this world Batman never took another sidekick after Jason's death, so Cass, Steph, and Tim's stories go differently).
kidnapping wip. Also inspired by a weird dream. Bruce manages to snatch Jason at the end of UTRH, takes him to the Manor to heal, and decides to try a little Stockholm syndrome. I also came up with this one before Gotham War xD
outlaws vs. justice league: simulation. If you haven't read the "Red Hood: Outlaws" webtoon, the premise is that Jason, Artemis, and Bizarro are made the new JL for a provation period... and then it's revealed they'd been put in a simulation without their consent (a simulation where they showed more compassion to some of the "criminals" they meant to hunt than the JL did). Then the webtoon did nothing with that, which really disappointed me. So I ran with it instead.
prison break: robins. Jason is facing the death penalty (for something he 100% did, lbr). Dick can't take it and puts himself in the same prison.
time travel: robin jason. You know all those AUs where robin!Jason suddenly appears on the present, and everyone has to deal with all the angst that brings? I want to do my own take on that. Lots of Jason & Jason bonding.
young justice: FÉNIX. In which I do what I've wanted to for years and write THEE yj!Jason-centric fic that's been so clear in my head. Featuring a lot of Jason & Damian, Jason & Bats reuniting, and tons of secret identity shenanigans.

I've enjoyed it in fandom; I remember reading some really good fics way back when (like, either pre-reboot days or soon after the reboot was implemented. I know the film version of utrh had already come out). As things are right now I wouldn't want it to happen in canon; for one, I also have some qualms about how their friendship is written, even if I'm glad it... actually exists lol. But my interest in them is quite low-key.
Re: a plot I might write for them... hmm. I have three WIPs* where Jason-Stephanie is an important, if not always central dynamic. So far it's been platonic but really, it would be easy to turn it the other way -it's a ship that's easy to see working, IMO.
*said WIPs are a.) amnesiac!Jason (also known as "@ gotham war's writers, hold my beer -it CAN be more fucked up"); b.) Jason's Journals (kind of a post/war games AU where Stephanie finds journals Jason wrote** during his time with Bruce, and she, Tim, and Cass, aka the post-Jason kid/teen heroes, have feelings about it); c.) Jason Survives The Joker, where they develop a close friendship. As of now, I have no intentions of introducing romance in any of these, for various reasons, but it wouldn't be a stretch tbh.

Probably the Jason ship that has awakened my curiousity the most. Nothing wild (that's next to no canon material does to a canon-adjacent motherfucker like myself), but I think it's telling that the only WIP (so far) where I might veer into a romantic direction for Jason's character is theirs.
(and I think that answers the other question!)
