GodGale on curing Astarion & Karlach (new from Patch #6)

In case you didn’t see it in the patch notes, Larian added new dialogue for GodGale in regards to Astarion and Karlach asking to be cured. For anyone interested, I’ll share screencaps and links to both the non-romanced and romanced versions below. These contain endgame spoilers, obviously!

Non-Romanced Responses

Both Astarion and Karlach will get this response from GodGale after they ask if he can help cure them:

“Such a feat would certainly be within my capabilities, but alas—my hands are tied. Bodily interference with mortals lies well beyond the purview of my particular niche of divinity.”

So—that’s a no :(

GodGale then goes on to say they can pray to him and he’ll ‘offer what encouragement he can.” He also has some specific follow-up dialogue for each. You can see the video below:

Here’s where Larian added a lot!

If Astarion Romanced Gale

Astarion can now ask about the extent of GodGale’s power:

“How far does your power extend? Can you let me walk in the sun again?”

And here’s Gale’s response:

“Why walk in the sun, when you could walk in the heavens themselves?”

He then continues with his usual “All in good time…” line that encourages the player to enjoy the party.

Later in the evening, when GodGale genuinely asks if Astarion wishes to join him and become a God at his side, Astarion can reply:

“If I do, I’ll no longer be a vampire spawn? I’ll be cured?”

And GodGale’s reply:

“You’ll be perfect, as you deserve to be. Freed from all the petty complaints of mortality, vampirism included.”

So—that’s a yes! And if you watch the video below (underneath Karlach section), you’ll notice that once GodGale has ascended him to godhood, Astarion’s skin tone is no longer pale/bloodless looking (which I believe existed previously to show he was cured, they just didn’t explicitly say it.)

If Karlach Romanced Gale

Karlach’s new dialogue is also in two parts. First:

“This heart of mine is still an issue. Couldn’t a God like you help me out?”

And GodGale’s reply:

“Yours is a heart I would never let break. But it is not time yet.”

(…which, can I just say, as a Karlach x Gale fan: 😭)

He then continues with his usual “All in good time…” line that encourages the player to enjoy the party.

Later in the evening, when GodGale genuinely asks if Karlach wishes to join him and become a God at his side, Karlach can reply:

“This will cure my heart…won’t it?”

And here’s GodGale’s (2-part) reply:

“Yes—it will cure your heart. You will be made perfect, as you deserve to be.”

“Zariel won’t be pleased, of course, but let her try and stop us. And your revenge on her, when you finally take it, will be divine. All you have to do is come with me.”

So, just like Astarion, that’s also a ‘yes’ for Karlach—she is cured once Gale ascends her. If you watch the video below, you’ll notice that once she has ascended to godhood, the flames/fire dancing on her skin disappears completely, showing that she is indeed cured. (This also existed previously before the patch.)

like he just goes above and beyond to make you smile.

it’s well-known that he spoils everyone at the compound, but since you’re his daughter, he spoils you A LOT.

you’ll come home from school often to find a little box on your bed, and it’s always something you either had mentioned in passing, or something that you didn’t even know you needed.

like you got into crocheting for a little bit. you now have buckets full of multicolored yarns in every texture and color one could ever need!!

also i feel like when you told him your favorite ice cream was the same flavor as his favorite, he literally almost burst with excitement.

and now you ALWAYS have that ice cream.

he even built a little gadget that only lets you and him eat out of it.

the only exception to the rule is happy, as thor painfully found out one day.

he went to have some and it shocked him, but happy just reached in and got it anyway.

also if you’re tony stark’s daughter, i just have to say what an iconic trio you, your dad, and happy are.

like y’all always look so badass with matching shades or whatever.

you got matching shirts for you three for christmas and they both reluctantly wore it.

natasha took like fifteen pictures and steve was literally on the floor dying because he thought it was so funny.

anyways one of the coolest things about being tony stark’s daughter are the gadgets.

for example, you have a lot of clothes. but guess what? you don’t ever have to do laundry.

all of your clothes are put in this special hamper. it washes, dries, and folds/hangs the clothes up for you, then puts them away in a neat fashion.

you have a high tech mirror (ala cher from clueless!!!!) where you can “try on” outfits before you actually retrieve them to wear.

it’s kind of awesome?

anyways you’re also super smart.

science and math just come easily.

it must be…. in your blood or something.

bruce made that joke once and tony locked him out of the lab. then peter tried to make it too and tony made him go “test” a robot that blocks people out of a room HAHA

that being said, your dad actually lets you in the lab.

ikr? kind of crazy.

you have your own little corner to work on stuff.

also you and bruce are so iconic. i think you would have tea parties every sunday.

tony says it’s “childish” but you can tell he’s jealous

once you caught happy setting up high tea for him and tony but then he told you that you didn’t actually see anything

now, it’s usually a great thing to be tony stark’s daughter

but finding real friends is tough.

there are people who are awesome, like peter parker, harley keener, and miles morales.

but there’s a lot of people who’ll use you to get to your dad or your money.

and yes that sounds stereotypical, but it’s really tough.

there was a group of kids who seemed really excited to go out with you, but then you realized it was all for social media clout and that they expected gifts and stuff.

so you ended up exploding on them, and it gave your dad some bad press.

you were so embarrassed that you locked yourself in your room, refusing to come out.

happy left some tea outside but you didn’t want it.

so then finally tony came in.

guys he’s iron man he can get through a locked door

and you didn’t really want to talk.

so instead he just put on some music.

some really loud guitar music.

and then, with the door still open, tony stark began playing air guitar.

now you knew he would do this sometimes, but not with the door open.

and then he started to SING.

that man cannot sing guys.

needless to say, it gave you a laugh.

he grabbed your hands, pulled you up, and the two of you started dancing around the room, laughing harder than ever before.

when the song ended, he told you he wasn’t mad.

and that people can be losers sometimes

but that you certainly weren’t.

then he said one day he would come up with a loser detector so that you wouldn't have to go through something like that again.

and he was only half joking, so you just laughed.

but deep down, you were happy to have someone who cared for you as much as your dad, tony stark, did.

Choose a side

Prompt: After reader fucked Kafka, she got pregnant. Reader sneaks out from the Astral express to visit Kafka until she got caught and had to end up picking a side.

Warnings: Slight Angst, pregnant kafka

A/n: This is rushed so please excuse the mid writing 😭🙏

Recently all of Elio's scripts contained Blade, Sliverwolf and the others. None of them contained Kafka and they knew why. They knew whag Kafka did a month ago and why she was having morning sickness, weird cravings and constant mood swings. "She's coming back Kafka." Elio hummed as he kept Kafka in his office while he did some work.

"I know. I'm carrying her child after all," she ran her hand down the barely noticeable bump. Later that night, the express train was parked at the space station. One month had passed since the heavy attack from the Anti matter legion and it completely destroyed the space station. The Astral express crew stayed to help repair the space station.

Himeko found herself having trouble sleeping so she got up and went out for a walk. In the corner of her eye, she saw you sneaking out of your room with a bag on your shoulder. You looked so distressed yet happy and she furrowed her eyebrows.

"Y/n?" She called out. You stopped in your tracks, fat beads of sweat dripping down your forehead. Turning on your heels, you were faced with a very distraught Himeko. "Where are you going?" You felt sick to the core just thinking about telling Himeko the truth knowing full well that the Stellaron Hunters are the sworn enemies of the trailblazers.

"Himeko..." you breathed out. The redhead was confused beyond question and you knew you couldn't hide it from her any longer. "Himeko I'm sorry." Little by little you began telling her the truth. About how you were once apart of the Stellaron hunters and the incident that happened a month ago.

"Wow... I... wow..." she stumbled backwards a bit, feeling extremely hurt. She loved you. Himeko was deeply in love with you. Every smile, every joke, every battle, everything you did made her enchanted by you and now after hearing this sick truth, she knew she couldn't stop you.

You bowed your head in shame, not knowing how to face her. She saw your distressed look and gently lifted your head with her fingers. A sad smile adorned her face. "This is hard to take in but I know you love her. I may not know much about Kafka or the stellaron hunters or you for that matter but I know for a fact that where love calls, one must answer. Go to her. Go to your family Y/n."

"Himeko- there's nothing to regret. We will become enemies but just know that the deeds you did in the name of Akivili, were more than enough to repay your sins you've committed in the past." Through her tears she spoke, Slight sobs leaving her mouth at the end.

You've hurt her but there's nothing you can do. Kafka is bearing your child right now and you can't abadon her. "What will you tell the others?"

"I'll tell them I don't know where you are. Go y/n. They're gonna be up soon." With a firm nod, you hugged Himeko and she melted in your touch but her comfort was soon dispelled as she knew which side you chose and she couldn't do nothing to change your mind.

"Goodbye Himeko. I hope you find your true love one day," you waved at her before running off. Himeko smiled.

"But you are my true love." Alas, fate wasn't in her favour and it might never be.

"You left the Astral express for me?" Kafka smiled, and so did you. "One month ago you were trying to kill me." She chuckled as she pulled you in for a kiss.

You pulled away and rubbed her belly. "I know but this little bundle of happiness is what brought us back together."

"Elio told me you'll be back."

"Of course he did," you rolled your eyes. Of course Elion would know, he's... he's Elio.

"Don't you wanna greet your boss and your fellow hunters?" You followed her along like a lost puppy and immediately upon entering Elio's office, you found yourself back in your old uniform. Elio spun around in his chair and with an evil glint, he smiled.

"Your plan worked Kafka. We finally have our triumph card back with us."

For some reason, I just had to. (P.s. I should not be allowed to write when tired??? Half of this was done while my eyes rolled shut in bed).

Madara:

It’s not everyday that Madara is blown like a leaf in the wind. When you mentioned being a patron of the arts, he thought maybe the art of battle?? Didn’t expect your weapon to be a paint brush with some acrylic paint. Thought it was some weird jutsu infused shit.

And then you just had to go above and beyond and do a portrait of him for his birthday!!!!! It’s hung on the living room center wall so that it’s the first thing anyone sees! Honestly, this man is a brute, but your art envokes his softer side! A side that he hasn’t been in touch with for…well, a long time.

Makes sure that everyone and I mean, everyone, is aware of your talent! Still, he tries to find the side hussle in it, soliciting customers for you and all. 😭😭 Will trash talk the chalk art children make on the sidewalk, which ‘…that’s not nice, they’re children..’ you say. He shrugs, nobody is as good as you.

Obito:

Finds out and tries to ‘secretly’ commission you lmao. Makes it totally obvious too, his handwriting is shit and eveeeerrryyyyone knows who Tobi really is…. Plus how can you even begin without discussing what he wants done!! Duh, Obito! Unfortunately for him, you are more interested in drawing matters of the flesh. He’ll only show his chest, nothing more.

‘That’s fine.’ You shrug, and get to work. Obito, however, does not have the resolve to sit still! It’s frustrating to no end, but alas, after what seems an eternity— its done. Sort of. Still much to add, but the basics are there and you’ll work better when he’s not asking how does it look every twenty minutes.

Eventually you do finish this beautiful piece of him, and Obito cries. You made his scars tolerable and beautiful with your mind’s creativity, he feels less self conscious about them, only a little.

Shisui:

Is the least normal about it when he discovered your sketchbook — more like snatched and played keep away. Had to fight him for it, literally. Will ask you to paint/draw him naked…many times lol and you respectfully say no... Not that he likes people to see him naked (ok maybe a little?) but he secretly hopes it might happen one day. It would be a private thing for the two of you, cause he wants that ass.

And when you do cave to his whim, just to satiate him. He’s nervous lmao. Had this oh so macho man idea of rocking a hard on but Shisui simply maintains his usual semi. It’s nice though, you make sure it’s extremely detailed..as he asked for.

But, ‘(y/n)… this is chibbi!!!’ Lol, jokes on Shisui!! He didn’t say how to draw his pp.

Itachi:

Is the most normal about it. Though he still will praise you every time you finish a piece and show him, he is still massively impressed. How does your wrist not get tired? …maybe this is why your hand jobs are so good. 😈 Just watching you try a new technique (pointillism, which is my favorite style) makes his wrist hurt. Enjoys when you ask him for ideas! He has lots of them! Mostly…obscure and derelict landscapes though.

4. Hi there! Before I ask, just a big thank you to all the people who work on this blog, you’re a godsend. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this fic I first read in 2019, but alas, was knew to ao3 and didn’t save it properly. It starts with context that the war went ahead, Heaven won, and Aziraphale has been forced to execute the demons one by one over the course of a couple months. (The demons have been held in some sort of camp I think??). Aziraphale assumes that this is a punishment for his relationship with Crowley. Then, Crowley himself, battered beyond belief, is dragged towards him to be executed. They share a couple moments in each others embrace before Crowley says that he understands what Aziraphale has to do, and he’s ready. And lo, Aziraphale executes him, and Gabriel(?) arrives to tell him he’s been let off execution duty, confirming his suspicions that it was his punishment. Aziraphale then makes his way to Anathema’s cottage, crying. (Somehow Earth wasn’t destroyed in the war?). But yeah, that’s as far as I got before I lost it. it’s plagued me for the last 4 years, and I’d kill to know what happened 😭 I fear it’s been deleted. Every step Hero took felt followed. Every movement felt unmissed. The street was dimly lit, it probably wasn't the smartest to be walking here at three in the morning…

The snap of a stick caught their attention, bringing their steps to a halt. They looked behind them, jumping as a dark figure emerged from behind them.

“Who is it?” Hero gritted out. They were tired, all they wanted to do was get home and put their feet up. But alas, they had no other choice but get rid of the lingering threat. The shadowed figure just stopped, the black masked face staring blankly back at them. Hero huffed out an impatient breath, muttering, “Creep,” as they continued to walk on.

In an instant, Hero was grabbed from behind and a hand shoved a cloth over their face. Hero cried out, trying to fight against the grip but it was useless. They heaved in breaths which only made them inhale the chemicals more.

“Relax, little hero, just take some nice deep breaths for me and relax.”

Hero’s blood went cold, their stomach lurching; Villain.

Their vision filled with blank dots but Hero tried with all their energy to fight against Villain. But it was no use. The chemicals filled their senses and their vision went to black.

It felt like it had only been a second before their eyes snapped open. They looked around them, eyes wide. The room was dark, their arms were tied tightly to each arm of the chair. Their ankles tied to each leg of their chair. Fuckfuckfuckfuck.

“Well, well, well, good morning sleeping beauty,” Villain smirked, tucking a lock of hair behind Hero’s ear. Hero flinched back, face filled with disgust, “Don't touch me,” The growled. Villain scoffed with a smirk, “Oh trust me, I’m not enjoying this anymore than you are.”

Hero scoffed, “Bullshit.”

“Oh shut it!” Villain yelled, their hands clenched into fists as they roared, “Ever since I laid eyes on you I have fucking hated you. You're- you're like some annoying fly who’s buzzing around and I can't seem to get rid of you!”

Hero blinked, taken back at how defensive Villain was getting, “Alright, jeez, chill out, dude.” Villain blinked quickly, feeling their face grow pink and they turned away quickly, pretending to busy themself.

Hero yawned, trying to lift their arm against their restraint before sighing, “So…what do I owe the pleasure of being kidnapped?”

Villain gulped, absentmindedly sharpening their knife as they sat on a stool, their back facing Hero, “SuperVillain wanted to talk to you,” They mumbled.

Hero nodded, their tongue running along the bottom of their teeth. The silence filled the room once more.

“So-....so you’re not gonna be my entertainment while we wait, or-”

“Oh just shut.up!!!” Villain roared, quickly getting to their feet and pacing towards Hero, knife in hand. “Jesus fuck, Villain, what the hell is going on with you today?!?”

“I-...you-... w-” Villain took a shaky breath, looking up at the ceiling as they blinked hard, “Who were you fighting with two nights ago?” Their voice was low this time, quiet. They almost sounded… vulnerable.

Hero blinked, “Two… Oh- you mean [Other Villain]?” Villain gulped and nodded once before looking away.

Hero couldn't help but let out a quiet laugh, “Villain… you're hardly jealous-....are you?”

Villain rolled their jaw, looking down to their knife before twirling it in their hand, “I…I thought we had a deal…” Hero couldn't help but feel slightly guilty. There was something about Villain suddenly, they looked like all sad and vulnerable. It was a side of Villain that Hero had never seen. Their eyes glazed over, brimming with tears as they clenched their jaw tight.

“I’m.. I’m sorry Villain…I didn’t mean to make you feel like this. The other- they… they came out of nowhere and I didn't have Sidekick to help me. So I had no other choice but to fight them!” Villain just stared at Hero for a moment before nodding once.

They got down to one knee, bringing the blade to Hero’s ankle, making the other flinch. But in a moment, the rope fell away. Villain continued this until all the restraints were gone before taking a step back, “You uhm…I think you should go now…”

Their voice was quiet, probably the lump in their throat restricting most of the volume. They looked away as a tear slowly ran down their cheek. Hero gulped before getting to their feet. They cupped Villain’s face, thumb brushing the other’s tear away, “How can I make it up to you.”

Villain forced themself not to flinch back, Hero suddenly feeling so close to them. They took a shaky breath. All along they have wanted this, dreamt of it. And now it was happening. Villain’s cheeks were red and they took a slow breath before their eyes slowly met Hero’s;

“Kiss me…”

I just finished part 2 of chapter 9 and thea you really outdid yourself in this chapter!! I loved every second of it! Acswy Mike was insane throughout this whole chapter, from teaching Will how to drive his car, to saying that him and Will were middle school sweethearts to the waitress…along with Will realizing his feelings for Mike as well!!! Such a good chapter and it was well worth the wait, this chapter may have been the death of me.

I do have two questions, what scene do you think was the most insane thing that you thought of and wrote, and which one was your absolute favorite?

thank you 😭 i definitely think it was my favorite chapter to write, even though it was so long and stressful at times!! and the fact that i wrote 55k in like 5 months is insane to me omg. sorry to have killed you but i hope that it's a consolation that i am also typing this from beyond the grave!

i think that the most insane thing i thought of and wrote for this chapter was probably the middle school sweethearts comment lmfao. if i were will once the waitress had left i would have been like "cool, so you like me, right? we can date now fr?" but alas. i am not will and he is not me. but i came up w it months ago and i am Still feeling insane about it.

as far as my absolute favorite goes, definitely the realization scene, although the entirety of thrift store scene is a close second! the realization line -- "he feels safe in the passenger seat of a moving vehicle for the first time in his life, and he has feelings for mike wheeler" -- is something that has been floating around my head in Some variation for months now. i have always wanted to write a realization scene that just lists the realization itself as a fact among many other statements, and had been considering using it for a few other fics i had been planning to write, but i am So glad i saved it for acswy and ch09. it really felt like the perfect way to get will to where he needed to be with his feelings and i am really proud of it <3

OMG, I love the little tidbit about Sgayel and Tairn's courtship. That was like so unexpected but it just adds to the story and the parallels in the dragons and their riders.

Is Xaden internally going feral seeing Violet wear his shirt?

I would read 200k words about Tairn and Sgaeyl’s courtship and mating. I will not be writing it beyond little bits and pieces but I would offer a forehead kiss to anyone who wants to. And yes, I am a firm believer that Violet and Xaden’s relationship mirrors theirs in a lot a ways because dragon and rider are also so similar in this case

to clarify- ive been saving "let's fall out of love" to read later ever since you posted it cuz i didn't feel ready- didn't think i was emotionally stable enough to read it then. well, tonight ive been clearing out my list of unread fics from last year aND GODDAMN WAS I EVER RIGHT ABOUT THAT.!!!

started getting all weepy and shaky before that first courthouse bathroom conversation and i didn't ever stop 😭 sobbed so hard and for so long at the unfairness of it all (for both of them !) i gave myself an asthma attack and had to stop reading.. what really broke me was e's bittersweet and somewhat detached realization on the courthouse steps that all their kids had flocked to laney during the divorce. couldn't stop thinking abt how badly i would've wanted to tell jesse off for being sharp to his daddy, and the knowledge that elaine COULDN'T, that it wasn't quite over yet and she still had to save face for a bit longer despite how much it killed them both, despite being the only person who could truly understand just how deep elvis was hurting right then and having been the one who'd made a whole life out of loving him hard.......... the idea of him resigning himself to having lost that forever (false) and her having to go against everything in her nature to let him ache a while longer,, oh it just shattered my spirit to bits right then and there. oh god im gonna start crying again just thinking about how lonely they both made each other 💔💔💔

im literally inconsolable, even with the reasoning behind it/ knowing how it ends beforehand, and having those future timeline fics to fall back on did nOT SAVE ME like . dear GOD woman how is that even possible?!?? if i had any shred of humanity left in my body id wax poetic for three more paragraphs abt how that speaks to your truly absolutely outstanding talent as an author and worldbuilder, but alas i think i cried out everything that was keeping me sane sometime in the last half hour and now i have to go lie facedown on the floor in my hallway and die abt it all instead 👍 fantastic work as always i love all your work so much forever etc etc 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

ps: it took me the better part of an hour to type all this out since ive lost the water content of approxinately a small ocean w my tears and am doing physically poorly in response 🫠🫠 so thanks for ur patience in this trying time 😔🙏

I spun around in circles upon reading this like my poor coon dog when she had a stroke -jovially of course. Like this is the stuff every writer dreams of getting for feedback but holy smokes, your talent for screaming? Beyond my wildest dreams. I’ve always told you how much I appreciate your time and enthusiasm to tell your thoughts Mary Hope, and now is no exception. My babe and co-author @elvisabutler deserves the pleasure of reading what we’ve wrought, as well. I’ll be halving all your medical and psychiatric expenses with her. 😏

Tbh, despite knowing both imminent and longterm reconciliation was to happen after this segment, we were just as cut up about tearing them apart as you were to read it. In fact, it was worse than all the lead up fics where the passive aggressive accumulation of grievances came across as hurts but ultimately only aggravations. This is just…PAIN. Funny how what was untenable before a tragedy suddenly appears to have been idyllic after it. Anyways.

Thank you for reading, here’s some Kleenex, albuterol and do know the sequel to this divorce is in drafts, so not finished AT ALL but it is in the works.

Not that it’ll hurt much less than this one. 😈

lol, everyone knows this about Cuntos and he has always been dirty and moves late under braking.

He only has one goal in mind: keep Charles behind him at all costs. To Cuntos, there's no one else on the track except Charles. Meanwhile, all Charles cares about is P1.

All the more critical for 1) Ferrari to get rid of this cancer, but if not that, then 2) it's absolutely ESSENTIAL for Charles to always qualify ahead of Cuntos because everyone with eyes knows that Cuntos would rather let the whole world burn than concede in a fair fight to Charles.

I think if Ferrari ever manage to build a FAST car with a strong front end, instead of this piece of trash like the SF-23, we won't ever have to worry about Charles' pace in qualifying or race compared to Cuntos, but alas, when it comes to fighting for pathetic scraps in the midfield with an understeer dumptruck - it's truly where Charles falters and Cuntos shines. 🤣
