I don't like that lesbians dismiss the high rates of domestic violence in their relationships. Domestic violence is high in all relationships because its inline with lust, but there's no reason to deflect to heterosexuals when this issue is brought up. Nobody cares about lesbians, not even other lesbians.
Manly lesbians act like they "love women better" but can't. They see you as an object to take their rage out on because they're emotionally regressive. Sex-addicts of all genders and orientations have a shrunken amygdala and destroyed medullas, becoming violent animals (with the help of porn as well). A lot of lesbians are proud psychopaths and they need to get with each other and fight it out instead of preying on innocent lesbians cause sane & sober lesbians with dignity and standards aren’t going to deal with it just because we have a small population anymore.
Hope this trend keeps going cause these dickless men are abusive too and time is up for people who don't know what love is. They're all suffering and they don't even know it, but I'll be nice in this post due to its subject matter…
I wouldn't be able to handle somebody hitting me. That's so scary and my heart goes out to any of you who have dealt with that. I'm shocked at how indifferent people are about it, downplaying it because it's two women.
I get creeped out when somebody lies to me. I remember when it happened once and it was out of fear over something that could've been discussed. I could tell she lied because she panicked over a past experience which is the only reason why I forgave her, but I was doubting everything she was telling me from that point on. Couldn't help it. Usually, I have zero tolerance for lies, it's an indication of manipulative behavior. Her lie was believable too and the only reason why I found out it was a lie was because she confessed.
This same person went on to yell at me because of her jealousy over an imagined scenario and in my mind I was done with her, had a feeling that she had violent tendencies and left. Let her tell it, I was the one in the wrong for not putting up with it because she's used to abusing people and them staying because "it's hard to meet other lesbians." Sorry, but I don't subscribe to that mindset. I always leave whenever I'm unhappy. People who have God aren’t desperate.
I talk about about mental illness frequently because the stats on mental health are wrong, most of the population is senile. When somebody comes out of left field accusing me of something I know nothing about and they're convinced that it happened, that's terrifying to me. Then I start tripping out and start wracking my brain to see where they're coming from cause I want to resolve the situation, but they're just fucked in the head. I just don't want to deal with people who don't live in reality anymore. I used to try to convince them that everything was fine, but they're so aggressive, I just let them believe and say whatever they want.
You know what's normal to me now? Getting dismissed when I bring up an issue. I'm told it's not a big deal, I should get over it, I should go live alone in the mountains if I can't handle it, etc, but people don't understand that I only make an effort to set boundaries and communicate if I want somebody in my life. I'm very introverted, like if I go the mall for 30 minutes that's all the socializing I need for three months both online and offline. I only have social energy for people who are genuinely kind and enjoyable to be around. I don’t deal with people with difficult personalities because I know I don't have to and when there's no incentive to do something, I won't do it. Stories of people putting up with abuse on any level are incredible to me. I've never met a single person who was worth that in any capacity because when I did I was always burned.
When somebody dismisses what I say, they're telling me they don't want me in their life and I do them a favor and leave. I heard that the person who lied and yelled at me said I overreacted over "small things" and said some assholish things that I wouldn't even dream to say about her, but when I did my best to put my feelings aside for her sake dozens of times that was shat on. Selfish people can't see how hard you work to accommodate their trauma, so I'm not doing it anymore and if you shouldn’t either.
The only reason why I bothered with people like this is because they have so much potential, but the one in particular I’m talking about she was the type who was prideful about her trauma and “went through so much more then you,” even though she was so self-absorbed she didn’t even ask once about me. All mentally ill people to is hallucinate and project. And yes, if somebody is violent, that person is mentally ill and criminal… they don’t need a diagnosis or a felony to get that label.
Now I don't try to make things work with people after an initial attempt to set boundaries or explain my perspective anymore. These people are not only liars and emotionally abusive, but they don't hold themselves accountable... that's a precursor for violence and lacking willpower is the natural progression of becoming nasty work. They could heal very quickly if they wanted to, but they don't want so why should I care about their karmic circumstances when they don't? Why should I have sympathy for them when they don’t have any for me?
Even though I never get apologies from people who lack self-awareness, I don't forgive low effort apologies anymore. I need to see paper trail documentation of long-term change to let somebody back in my life, they're too much of a spiritual liability otherwise. I'm not stupid enough to think I'm exempt from being treated poorly by people who lie, cheat and steal. I know I'm going to be the target eventually. I'm not vain, I don't dream on their behalf and I don't see potential anymore, I live in the present moment and if I don't like what I see right now, I'm out. No more communicating, I'm utilizing silence to its fullest extent. Silence is the only thing I have never regretted. Silence speaks the loudest and is the only thing that incites change. The more you talk and give them your attention, the more you enable them. Silence is the scariest thing an unhealed person can experience.
People who emphasize communication are predators. Don't listen to their guilt trips and don't communicate with them more than necessary, just leave when your heart tells you to and stay resolute in your decision. Have faith you did the right thing and don't fall into the belief that you acted too soon. You know you didn't. You can't collaborate with people who don't respect you enough to consider your perspective.
The thing is, abusive people will never leave you regardless of how much they say you're not good enough for them or that you're incompatible, so don't take it as a compliment when they keep you around. (Ask them, "then why are you with me?" and they won't have an answer). I took that as that person being patient with my lack of trust even though it was the other way around, I was patient with her lack of trustworthiness. Let them take that bullshit to the next person and fuck up somebody else's life and accept them as a lesson.
Abusive people will drain you for everything you have because they're parasites. The new word they're using now is "co-regulation" even though you feel like garbage when they're around, getting the benefits of your energy... you're the host, honey. And to attack somebody they say they love?? unfathomable. I don't know who needs to read this, but don't ever let anybody put their hands on you again. I don't give a fuck who they think they are to you. You're worth more than that motherfucker and you know it. An even mind is a rare trait and you have to work your ass off to get it. Calmness doesn't come naturally to anybody in a world like this.

Can I ask how you feel about the popular idea in the fandom of Nagito's luck being balanced out post-game by Hajizuru's? Because me personally...I really really dislike it.
To start with it basically suggests that in any other scenario where he doesn't end up beside him, Nagito is doomed. Not only does that imply other ships are shot down. But it also implies that even Komahina wouldn't work without Izuru's talents being added to the mix. So there goes his happiness in a non-Despair timeline. I mean I guess Makoto might be the other exemption, but still.
And while I do think Komahina and Komaegi are of course very very cute, I can't buy that Nagito would feel happy with that idea. It not only means that he's completely dependent on a single person for any chance at happiness. But he has to resign himself to accepting that on his own he's a doom magnet. When really I think he'd want to beat his luck cycle somehow on his own terms. Plus I just think the idea that Hope's Peak could somehow implant a person with supernatural luck is just incredibly stupid. Makoto and Nagito's unique forms of luck should be the one thing they found impossible to replicate. I actually have a personal headcanon that the Kamukura Project was secretly only a 99% success. In that they only managed to give Izuru a consistent 10 for his Luck stat. But they failed to grant him the wild 20s that Makoto and Nagito have when their luck goes into overdrive.
Honestly I agree that the luck balancing theory can tie down Nagito’s options for partners. Although, in a way that could add to the appeal of Nagito’s tragic existence given that there’s always a caveat to everything for him--in this way the good luck is having someone love him, the bad luck is it being how limited his options are given that they need to fit a specific criteria to simply be able to survive around him.
On top of which is also brings into question whether Nagito’s feeling towards said specific person are actually genuine or if he’s clinging onto them more so for the reprieve they give him from his luck rather than any real feelings of love. Kinda like someone marrying for money or security—it’s done for necessity not because there’s actual strong romantic emotion.
But again, to some this can be part of the appeal of the theory. I’ll admit I’ve delved into this theory exploration myself with komaegi lol. There’s just so much about their luck we still don’t know and will probably never know about such as how it actually interacts—so it can be fun to explore this theme and it’s dark underbelly!
But I agree, it would be so much better for Nagito to be able to take control of his luck on his own rather than have it hinge on someone else’s existence. This theory is one of those ones that seems cute and “meant-to-be” on the surface but is actually a very slipper slope of one-sided dependency and given Nagito’s tendency for obsession with things that help him cope, it can get dark real fast. Which is why I feel it’s one of those theories you really need to be prepared to address the flaws and not simply sugarcoat it as “the-best-lucky-thing-to-happen-to-Nagito”. I mean for this theory to even be remotely healthy even for Hajizuru/Nagito or Makoto/Nagito, you’ll NEED to have Nagito become self-reliant and assured. Otherwise, Nagito would have a breakdown and/or major anxiety simply when he’s away from his partner because he knows now that his luck is active again. He’s already very anxious as is about his luck—but going from being able to finally live at ease for once in his life only to be reminded in a blink of an eye that no his luck is still there and can still hunt him down now that his shield is gone, would probably make the anxiety even worse in those moments.
So at the end of the day, balance theory or not, the best thing for Nagito would be for him to overcome the fear of his luck on his own and find a way to manage it that doesn’t rely on unhealthy coping mechanism. That’s always been Nagito’s journey. Learning to live despite his luck. Whether he has a partner or not.
On a side note—I too agree that Hope’s Peak replicating luck is cap lol. Like….how do you even replicate that??? Even to just a 10 I feel like it’s pseudo luck. I mean Izuru has (virtually) ALL the talents! I find it more believable that he utilizes a multitude of them at any given situation to make the odds work in his favor rather than having actual innate luck. Hear me out okay, hear me out, but I mean what exactly stopped Hope’s Peak researchers from implanting the idea of “this is your lucky talent” into Hajime whilst operating on him so that they could say to the world that they’ve done it while also making Izuru be wired to believe something like that? Improbable you say? Of course, but this is Danganronpa where a whole ass man can become butter from riding his bike too fast, I think surgical brainwashing is like…the least improbably thing tbh. You’d think they’d implant the idea of being loyal to Hope’s Peak too ayeeeeee. K Imma stop now.

That one tag on your reblog of the Taika post is what really gets me, we *know* how pervasive Israel's propaganda is/has been, for a LOT of people this might be their first time some of the reality of the situation is breaking through (and tbh, especially if you're Jewish, we've been fed tons of propaganda playing off of incredibly legitimate fears of antisemitism and past trauma), I don't understand how people can talk about that and at the same time not extend any grace to those still trying to work their way out of the propaganda bubble. And on top of that, if you're not chronically online *and* in particular social media circles, most of what you're seeing is still the regular news biased towards Israel. In those first few days after Oct. 7th (aka, when The Letter was signed), all I saw about the situation on the mainstream news was how this was the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust, and concern for the hostages. I'm not gonna judge someone for signing something based on that saying we need to rescue those people.
Yeah exactly! I see comments/posts all the time like "wow, I never knew this. We weren't taught this in school. Thank you for sharing. I've never seen this before" and they're all framed as positive things. (Which they are! Learning and growing is good!!) But for whatever reason celebrities are expected to know everything immediately and people will flood their comments demanding a statement and if they don't say anything, or if they don't say it perfectly, suddenly they're an awful, irredeemable person. And believe me, I'm not "won't someone think of the poor, exceedingly wealthy celebrities," but that's just not a reasonable expectation to have of someone whose career is entertainment.
And you're absolutely right. It's only been recently that the news coverage has started to become slightly less biased in their reporting. My own brother, who's around Taika's age, has decided I'm antisemitic because I had simply shared a post supporting a ceasefire and listing some stats of the number of Palestinians who had been killed at that point, truly the most benign of posts you could make, but he refuses to listen to anything because "I watch the news, I know what's happening." And that's a much bigger, systemic problem than any one individual.
It would be wonderful if we had truly unbiased mainstream news coverage. It would be wonderful if our education system wasn't so heavily biased with a western slant. It would be wonderful if every citizen had the time and energy to read up on current events that they don't know much about. But that's not the reality we currently live in. And so unless someone is actively perpetuating harm (and there ARE celebrities who are doing that, but for whatever reason we don't hear NEARLY as much about them as we do about Taika, hmmmmm, wonder why that could be) it feels like a non-issue to me.

Seraph of the End rant
I don’t think this fandom is even alive anymore, but hello, and please correct me if i’m wrong on any of this!
It might just be me, but I feel like many peoples trauma gets brushed over A LOT, and this post will literally just be me ranting about three characters in particular.
Kimizuki, Yoichi, and Mika.
Also, TW: Abuse, murder, suicide, mental health problems, abandonment, SA
First of all, starting off strong with the telephone pole himself, Kimizuki Shiho.
Yes, he’s pretty bitchy, but with reason. His sister is ill with a deadly virus, and he is so much more worried than he lets on. Now, as someone who hasn’t read much manga, (i’m catching up slowly), my knowledge roughly stops after S2 ends. However, I’m pretty sure there is a scene in a manga where the squad is hyping him up, though that could have been a fever dream, it shows again that he isn’t as tough as he lets on.
Now, onto the cinnamon roll known as Saotome Yoichi. Watched his sister get murdered by a vampire for no reason, then had a moment of recognition on the battlefield with LACUS FUCKING WELT. The fear in this mans eyes like- Kimizuki get your ass over here and comfort the fuck out of him, whether on the battlefield or after in his room. I would have sold my soul for that scene. And his trauma is, once again, ignored! Why?! He’s a cinnamon roll and needs comfort (yes, he’s stronger than he looks, but give that boy a hot chocolate, blanket, and some cuddles, STAT)
And, to wrap this up, we have the blond russian vamp himself, Hyakuya (or Shindo) Mikaela. Who, in my opinion, has some heavily brushed over issues. Like how he tried to get Yuu to not give him blood, which would have resulted in his death. Many times in that scene, he said he would rather die than live as a vampire. And I feel that the fact that that was basically an attempt was brushed over. And I have an inkling that that wasn’t the first. But alas, that may be my headcanons catching up to me. Also, not to mention the fact about the whole Livestock stuff and before then! His parents abused him, ans then threw him out of a moving vehicle. A moving. Fucking. Vehicle. And then was finally happy for a while. Then was livestock. Then had his found family murdered in front of him, stabbed, arm ripped off, turned into a vampire, and separated from the only family he had left. Also, isn’t there rumours of Ferid SAing him? Idk if that’s canon or not. Mans has been through shit, and there’s no way he’s okay in the head. I’m not, and I haven’t been through any of that.
BUT AAHHH WE NEED AN EPISODE(S) WHERE THEY COMFORT EACH OTHER AND OPEN UP ABT THEIR TRAUMA
also i’m writing this at midnight so this probs won’t make sense.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
(also for all the ONS fanfic writers out there..if you happen to see this and accidentally write drabbles for it… :3)

leshy! ( or deathcards and you! )
or a strange analyzation on leshy, and his deathcards.
this is another long post, just so you’re warning, but leshy! i’m extremely fond of him. maybe it’s all the time i’ve spent, embarrassingly, in kaycee’s mod, but i adore his character. but i can’t help but keep thinking about act one, especially after i fucked up my runs and didn’t know story events depending on deaths, and not runs. my bad.
( another fair warning: this is going to be me, as usual, over-analyzing dialogue for a total of maybe two people and myself, and whoever else is still clinging to this game like i am. )
but what i’m referring to is his attitude towards the player. inscryption is an odd one, considering we have luke carder as a player but it’s also acknowledged in kaycee’s mod that we, us, myself and whoever reading, are also the player.
leshy sounds, for lack of a better word, soft at the start of inscryption. i know that sounds odd, but i see it in how he talks to the player. behold, act one dialogue!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“ fear not “ implies that he thought you’d be worried, though, seeing from your deck and how the game is progressing, you probably have already figured that your cards don’t leave you deck anyway. he’s still telling you though. even for a tutorial, he tries to be more forgiving than he really needs to be for the player. but that’s not what’s majorly differently.
deathcards! yeah, i’m talking about them again, and they’ll take a major focal point, since i think they’re some of the most telling details about leshy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i find it interesting that he specifically uses favor, when you don’t really have a choice when it comes down to it, and the entirety of the next sentence. yes, in hindsight, deathcards are only a creation he made, but he doesn’t need to continue to make them whatsoever. it shows that it’s his choice to create them, to put a memory and use to you outside of this isolated run.
and the use of “ we. “ he even says as such, that it’s you and leshy working together to create it, rather than leshy deciding the entirety of it for you, which he has done ( assuming from the scrybes since we don’t know much about how he took over inscryption ) and could do again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but, as resets go by, especially if you win against him instead of dying, he starts to become . . . more aggressive. it’s noticeable in his endgame dialogue, which i don’t have on hand, but as you best him over and over without progressing, he starts to grow frustrated with you. he gets angry when you refuse to eat ( even though we can’t, but still, it’s much more straightforward upset than ever before ) he seems more disheartened when you destroy the moon, but what i find most revealing is the deathcards.
Tumblr media
leshy says himself that to live as a beast is the most honorable fate he can see, both in act two and as he admits after winning against him without progressing, and how he doesn’t mean for the scrybes to feel trapped to this fate. of course, it’s completely reasonable they would—they’re contained in cards, and were put into them by force—but to leshy, this is the highest fate he could give them, a place on his board, to serve as a beast. he also does this to kaycee through a deathcard, and we can see from entries in kaycee’s mod that him and her became good friends. these deathcards are, inadvertently, a sign of respect to him.
Tumblr media
even if you fail, even if you trip flat on your face, leshy still finds it worth to immortalize you because you tried, and at least if you look through the awareness of the player’s eyes, knowing the challenger is the same person, it makes the finale that much more satisfying. when you initially fail to him, that’s what he feels—a sense of respect because not only are you the first challenger that he’s seen in who knows how long, but you tried, and that’s valuable.
after you dying, you can choose, though from a limited selection, what stats you have, your sigils, your cost, your name. and then, you’ll be a card people can pick from forever. for as long as the copy of the game exists, people can see your card and know your name. you’re a beast, now. you’ve achieved the highest status he can give you.
and then, look at the card you’re given if you win. it’s plain. you can’t chose your stats. sure, you’re a rare card, but you’re only asked your name. and if you look to the door, you can see that you can’t even read your name. i thought, initially, the number one medal would go up depending on how many times you have beaten him prior—like a counter of when you won—but, no. it stays. it’s the exact same for each deathcard. you won, but it’s a sour fate to him, and reflects his feelings to you. you can’t be used. no one can even see your name, just that you won, and what happens to people who win.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
with the dialogue you get during the deletion, if you chose him and still chose him for the final duel, along with just the heart-ripping “ please, we don’t need to keep score “ makes me feel as though he’s gained respect for the player, and genuinely had a great time playing his version of inscryption with you and trying to make you live. trying to give you a life and enjoyment even if he’s limited in the power he truly had to show you that. he values you as a person, as a challenger, and as a player in general, just as he values the scrybes.
i wish the scrybes saw that, too, that leshy’s respect for them is reflected in the way that he still made them cards even if they were hidden, that they’re still playable when he could’ve degraded them to much worse. it doesn’t make their fate better, and it doesn’t make what he did better, either, but it’d be nice to know that he still cares, despite what he’s done.
i just like how his respect and emotions towards you as the challenger are reflected through deathcards, and the fact he values them so much that his signature ambience track is literally called “ deathcard cabin. “
and, as an off note, since i wanted to say this too but didn’t want to break the odd flow, he reveals more about himself the more you win, after you win, without progressing. i’m not sure why? you could take it as caving in, or emotions, but i find it interesting as well.
so yeah. dnd with a tree.

[ simone ashley, cis woman, she/her ] — whoa! DEVI NADAR just stole my cab! not cool, but maybe they needed it more. they have lived in the city for 29 YEARS, working as a NANNY. that can’t be easy, especially at only 29 YEARS OLD. some people say they can be a little bit DEPENDENT and HEDONISTIC, but i know them to be BUBBLY and DEVOTED. whatever. i guess i’ll catch the next cab. hope they like the ride back to MANHATTAN!
▷  currently  playing  ——  PRIMADONNA BY MARINA.
Quick Stats !
FULL NAME: Devi Nadar
NICKNAME: N/A
AGE: 29
DATE OF BIRTH: October 20th
GENDER: Cis Woman
PRONOUNS: She/Her
SEXUALITY: Demisexual
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single
PLACE OF BIRTH: New York City, NY
CURRENT RESIDENCE: tbd, Manhattan, NY
OCCUPATION: Nanny
AESTHETIC: Pink heart shaped sunglasses, looking toward those around you for direction, tear soaked pillows, constant noise so you never feel alone, the fear of growing up, daydreaming the afternoon away, the scent of vanilla candles, the rug being pulled out from underneath you, glittery stickers
Bio !
Growing up Devi had and got everything she could have ever wanted just by simply asking her parents for it. Aside from their attention of course. Between social engagements and their demanding jobs, Devi was often left in the care of a nanny until she was old enough to be left on her own while her parents were otherwise busy.
On the rare occasions when she accompanied her parents to events, it was always stressed to her that she be on her best behavior and how important the family's image was. The rules were easy enough to follow - be polite, smile, laugh at the right moments - all things she easily did.
As she got older, she started to resent things. Sure she had a comfortable life and every materialistic want was met, but there was some sort of void she couldn't seem to fill. It started to cause problems for her when the ways to fill that void started to cause some trouble.
It was little things at first - an eye roll, a missing smile - things that gave her just a little more attention from her parents, even if it was negative. Things started to slowly and steadily grow more out of hand, making her to appear like another socialite going through a troubling party girl phase.
Fed up with all the stunts and poor behavior from their daughter, the decision was made to cut her off. With no means to pay her rent or fund any shopping sprees or party habits, Devi was forced to move in with a close friend and attempt to enter the workforce for the first time in her life.
After a few failed retail jobs, her friend helped her get a nannying gig. Having grown up with nannies when she was younger, it should be something she's okay at, right?
Misc. !
Somewhere between "I really messed up with that little stunt" and "no, actually I was very justified in it."
So very lost in the world, like genuinely does not know what to do with her life and is only nannying because it fell in her lap through a friend who's trying to help her get back on her feet.
Honestly not adjusting to the sudden lack of funds. It's hard out here for a cutoff trust fund baby! If given the option she would much rather be adored and taken care of than work for a living.
Currently living with a friend but it's not ideal. Aka her stuff is spilling out all over their place and she should really get rid of things or make an honest effort to save up to get her own place.
On the lowest of keys feels very lonely. The solution though? Buying a bunch of things to fill the void. Very “what do we do when we’re sad?” “add to cart” energy.
A little snobby and stuck up from being spoiled most of her life. When things don't go her way it's confusing to her because what do you mean she can't always get what she wants???
Despite her flaws, she's a real ride or die once you can truly win her over. It's not the easiest task, but it can be worth it in the end.
Wanted Connections/Plots !
Family Friends: Wealthier muses that would run in the same social circle as her parents. Maybe they’d run into each other at events and were bored out of their minds together, would gossip together, or just knew each other in passing.
Best Friend: Friends for years, this person is letting Devi stay with them well she figures things out. They also helped her get her current nannying gig.
Parent(s) She Nannies For: Her current employer, taking a chance on someone without any prior nannying experience. Lowkey would be kind of sweet if some sort of found family vibe was later formed there.
A Whole New World: People outside of her usual social circle and come from very different backgrounds that she’s started to get to know now. Maybe they can even help encourage her to grow and be more independent, but also give her some needed tough love.
Out of Spite: Similar to the above connection, someone who comes from a very different background than her that she’s now dragging around to social events her parents would be at in a very petty way to spite them for cutting her off. Whether this person is aware that they are being used in a way and/or if a real friendship/relationship develops can be plotted!

I understand the need to fight back against anti semitism in this country, especially against people who don’t care about Palestinians, but are happy to use them to make people think their bigotry is somehow morally justified. But it feels like ultimately, people still don’t care about Palestine. Israel has a right to defend itself from Hamas. I don’t think they should just lie down and accept terrorist attacks happening in their country. But they don’t have a right to attack innocent civilians for the crime of being in the same place Hamas is located. And I’m having a hard time believing that people aren’t being as terrible towards Muslims as they are towards Jewish people. I don’t think they need an excuse to hate somewhere with a mostly Islamic population. But that doesn’t seem to be as huge a concern. I understand where you’re coming from in that some pro Palestinian platforms in leftist spaces are dancing in just being loudly anti Semitic or for whatever reason think that the terrorists have a point when they want to spread fear by mass murdering innocents for their “cause”, but the rising rhetoric that supporting Palestine means you hate Jewish people when Palestinian lives are being wiped out in huge numbers feels wrong to me. It shouldn’t be a fight of which innocent lives in which country matters more, but that’s what it’s starting to feel like.
It's not "rising rhetoric" that to support Palestine means you hate Israel. It's a huge fucking problem that loud antisemites have taken over the largest, loudest parts of the movement to support and bring peace to Palestine and unquestionably turned it into an antisemitic shitshow. The only fix for that is people who support Palestine and don't hate Jews is to get louder and clean their fucking house.
That being said very directly, I will be focusing the rest of my answer on this portion of your ask, which I think is the most important chunk because you are sharing incorrect and intentionally wrong information, and I don't think you realize that's happening. I'll also be answering about the rise in Anti-Muslim activity because I think it's important we don't ignore what Anti-Muslim activity looks like right now versus Antisemitic activity. Because it's all fucking terrible, but it's important to consider that getting dinged by a car turning a corner is bad (happened to me) and getting hit by a car doing 20 mph is really fucking bad.
But they don’t have a right to attack innocent civilians for the crime of being in the same place Hamas is located. And I’m having a hard time believing that people aren’t being as terrible towards Muslims as they are towards Jewish people.
Israel isn't aiming at civilians on purpose. Hamas put military targets next to civilian targets to be able to claim Israel is aiming at civilians when they're bombing. This is a very well-known tactic of Hamas, and calling it "Israel bombing civilians" puts the fault of the situation on Israel, when they aren't the ones who did it. Hamas doesn't give a fuck about civilians. That's why the military installations are next to schools and hospitals. So they can point at the plie of bodies and go, "Look! Look what Israel did!" and fuck up the narrative to "Israel bombed a school!" and not "We very intentionally put a military installation next to this school because we will do anything we can to discredit Jewish people even if it means causing the death of our own civilians." This is a war crime, by the way. Putting military installations in places where they are likely to cause civilian harm. The Geneva Convention considers this sort of action a war crime.
I looked up Anti-Muslim stats for 2023 and found this article from ABC news that discusses a rise in Anti-Muslim and Anti-Sematic bias and attacks since October 7. I think this paragraph breaks it down well: There were 11 confirmed anti-Muslim hate crimes in New York City from Oct. 7, 2023, to Dec. 30, 2023, according to the NYPD, and 26 confirmed antisemitic hate crimes over the same time period -- a total of one anti-Muslim hate crime every 7.7 days, and one antisemitic hate crime every 3.3 days. There were just five confirmed anti-Muslim hate crimes from Jan. 1, 2023, to Oct. 6, 2023, according to the NYPD, and 49 confirmed antisemitic hate crimes (one every 5.7 days) over the same time period. So, yes, there has been a rise in bias against Muslims, and that's fucking bad. They shouldn't be bearing the brunt of Hamas's choices any more than every Jew in the world having to answer for anything Israel does. But--and this is incredibly important to this conversation--While Muslims are facing bias, Jews are facing VIOLENCE, and it was happening at a noticeably higher rate than violence against Muslims even BEFORE October 7. They are being told they should be eradicated. They are being told they should "go back to Poland" (what an astounding statement to make to Israeli Jews especially). They are being threatened for walking down the street and looking Jewish. It is a false equivalency to say "Well, there's a rise in Anti-Muslim bias, and no one is talking about it." Because the difference is--as detailed by the article linked above--bias on the job and in education along with immigration issues--and constant death threats and attacks on synagogues and Jewish businesses. Both things are wrong and awful, but one group is being told they should be murdered en masse AGAIN, and the other is not.

Blog Extra - MS Awareness Week 22nd April to 28th April 2024
This week is UK MS Awareness Week and this year Overcoming MS is running a campaign called #MSUnfiltered.
As part of the campaign, OMS is working with MS Society UK, MS Together, Multiple Sclerosis Trust, MS-UK, Neuro Therapy Network and Shift.ms to survey over 1,400 people in the UK living with MS. The survey results showed us that:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I was diagnosed the first thing I did was to check out the MS charity websites, as recommended by my neurologist.  When I read the long list of symptoms
I was appalled because I had virtually all of these symptoms to some degree or another.
Here is the list of symptoms combined from the MS Trust and the MS Society websites:
Fatigue
Strange Skin sensations (numbness tingling, pins and needles, a crawling)
Balance and Co-ordination
Vision Problems
Walking difficulties
Thinking & memory difficulties (brain fog)
Bladder & bowel issues
Temperature sensitivity
Low mood, emotional problems, depression, and anxiety
Pain
Sexual issues
Sleep problems
Speech and swallowing problems
Hearing difficulties
Tremors
So when I read the list not only was I dismayed, I was also rather confused.  Because, some of those symptoms I had been putting down to my age.  So how do I know is it my MS or an age thing?
But I’m really hear to talk about the #MSUnfiltered campaign and what we don’t usually talk about.
While I have been very open about my MS diagnosis, there are some people who chose not to tell their employer for fear of being judged and side-lined at work. And when I chose to give up work, I didn’t tell my clients the full reasons behind my decision.  Which were, that I no longer trusted myself to build an accurate spreadsheet of financial projections or that it took me three times longer that it should to write a simple report due to my brain fog and reduction in manual dexterity at the keyboard.  The reduction in my ability to hold complex ideas in my mind undermined my confidence in my own abilities.  I wanted them to remember me as someone capable of doing everything that I used.
Sometimes I get so overwhelmed by outside stimulus that I struggle to think straight or to express myself properly.  All I can manage is a grunt because I can’t get the words that I want to say out.  I come over as inarticulate and I worry people will think I am rude because I only use a few words and need to go and lie down.
Up to 50% of people with MS have poor mental health – this is something I am comfortable talking about and I am happy to fly the flag here.  However, when I went on an MS retreat in November and started to talk about how MS affects my mental health, not one person had the courage to talk about their own issues. Even though there were 40 people in the room, and we were in a ‘safe space’.  If the stats are right at least 20 people in that room must have experience of poor mental health. For a moment, I felt a bit embarrassed for raising the topic, but only for a moment.  What I really felt was sympathy that no one else had the courage to share.
And finally, my closest friends will know that I use the loo A LOT. I now have a RADAR key but I haven't had to use it YET.

5e Nautilus, the Titan of the Depths build (League of Legends)
Tumblr media
(Artwork by Wesley Keil. Made for Riot Games.)
Hey remember when I said I’d be making Monks? There’s no particular reason why I’m making Nautilus right now: he’s one of those “iconic for being so generic” League characters that I feel never get thought about much. But even so he’s a big force to be reckoned with in any match you play against him, and he’s no doubt a powerful ally to have hold down any liches or demons you may be fighting.
GOALS
The endless march - Nautilus is a big, bulky, tanky boy with plenty of health and armor to shake a stick at.
Fear the ocean's weight - Hey isn’t it fun to get stunned for 4 seconds all from one champion? No I’m not talking about Morgana.
All will drown - Nautilus can do a surprising amount of damage with all his abilities up, so we’ll need to be able to burst foes when necessary.
RACE
Man if only there was a race for a giant walking suit of armor... Well I guess Warforged will have to do. You get +2 to your Constitution and another +1 that can go anywhere else: I’d bump Strength up a bit. You also have Specialized Design for one tool proficiency of your choice (Smith’s Tools are good to keep your armor sturdy, but honestly take whatever you want) along with a skill of your choice (I took Animal Handling as you’re always surrounded by deep-sea life, but it’s not like I’m forcing you to.) And while it’s technically not a part of Specialized Design you should also speak Abyssal while in the depths.
The main benefit of being a Warforged of course is Integrated Protection. Along with being fused to your armor (almost like you’re just a living diving suit) you gain a +1 to AC. But you also have Constructed Resilience for a bunch of nice effects (advantage / resistance to poison, no need to eat, sleep, or breath) and only go in a Sentry’s Rest during a Long Rest, remaining fully aware as you stand motionless for 6 hours.
ABILITY SCORES
15; STRENGTH - You are weighed down by both your armor and your anchor, both of which are extremely heavy.
14; CHARISMA - More for Intimidation than Persuasion, although you’re welcome to do that too.
13; CONSTITUTION - You’re a tank and armor can only get you so far; you will take hits from time to time.
12; WISDOM - As a servant of the depths you are naturally attuned to the teachings of the tide.
10; INTELLIGENCE - Teachings of the tide are more spiritual in nature. You are just a legendary sea monster, after all.
8; DEXTERITY - Nautilus is a slow boy. Sure dumping a different stat would probably be smarter, but we strive for accuracy here. Something which you won’t have if you ever fight at range.
BACKGROUND
The Sailor background works... I mean, not well but you try to find a background for an ancient legendary sea monster serving the will of an elder god. You gain proficiency with Athletics and Perception as well as Navigator’s Tools and Water Vehicles.
The main benefit is that your Ship's Passage trait makes it easy for you and your friends to find someone willing to sail you across the ocean, as long as you pay tribute in both coin and possibly work on the ship. Yes ultimately you won’t be able to live up to the legends told about you, but at least you’ll have a benefit in your natural waters.

THE BUILD
LEVEL 1 - PALADIN 1
Starting off as a Paladin for starting equipment, armor proficiency, saving throw proficiency, and proficiency with Intimidation and Insight. (Yes something like Persuasion would probably be better than a Wisdom skill, but Nautilus is not a sociable person, even if I have to give him Charisma as a Paladin.)
As a Paladin you also get Divine Sense to detect any Celestials, Fiends, or Undead near you. And you get Lay on Hands which can be used to heal your ADC in a pinch. For 5 health. Because level 1 Paladin is fun.
LEVEL 2 - PALADIN 2
Second level Paladins get a Fighting Style and as a giant diver suit more Defense is rather universally useful for more AC. More importantly however you get Spellcasting: you can prepare a number of spells equal to your Charisma modifier plus half your Paladin level (rounded down.) For now prepare Cure Wounds to take the Heal summoner spell for your ADC, Heroism to shield yourself (or your AC) with some temporary hitpoints, and Thunderous Smite to knock foes down with the weight of your anchor.
Alternatively you can strike with the strength of the depths, channeling a Divine Smite. The simple formula to remember with Divine Smite is that you deal a number of d8s equal to the level of the spell slot used plus 1, and if it’s against undead you add two d8s. So a 1st level Divine Smite does 2d8 (or 3d8 against Dead), and then it increases for the level of the spell slots used.
LEVEL 3 - PALADIN 3
Third level Paladins get to choose their Sacred Oath, and as an ancient titan of the sea Oath of the Ancients will be our subclass of choice. Along with adding Ensnaring Strike to your spell list (which is kinda just a better version of Thunderous Smite) as well as Speak with Animals you get two Channel Divinity options:
I’m going to mention Turn the Faithless first because it only affects Fiends and Fey, which you might not deal with often. But it basically makes them run away from you when you activate the ability. Nature’s Wrath however will let you choose a foe within 10 feet to ensnare with vines... or seaweed, if you want to keep to your original thematic. The target will be forced to make either Strength or Dexterity saves against your spell save to avoid being restrained by your Staggering Blows.
Alternatively you could use your Channel Divinity to Harness Divine Power and recover a spell slot equal to half your proficiency bonus (rounded up.) And I guess I can mention Divine Health even though you were already immune to diseases.
LEVEL 4 - PALADIN 4
4th level Paladins get their first ability score improvement, and seeing as Strength affects the blows with your anchor increase that by 2.
Also I know I haven’t been talking much about your spells much, but that’s because I was waiting for...
LEVEL 5 - PALADIN 5
5th level Ancients Paladins get Extra Attack, allowing you to swing your anchor twice per turn. More importantly however you get access to 2nd level spells: as an Ancients Paladin you get Moonbeam (which unfortunately requires your action to move around each turn, meaning you can’t use it and swing your anchor. It is pretty good if you can hold someone down in its range however) and Misty Step. For Flash.
Additionally I’d probably unprepare Thunderous Smite now that you have Ensnaring Strike, and instead prepare Aid to boost your allies’ health with a Grasp of the Undying, and Warding Bond to make a Knight’s Vow with an ally.
Tumblr media

LEVEL 6 - FIGHTER 1
Quickly hopping over to Fighter because more crowd control felt more important for Artificer than more resistances. That doesn’t mean Second Wind won’t help you to keep yourself alive to inflict your Titan’s Wrath.
But what we’re mainly here for is the Superior Technique Fighting Style. This will let you learn a maneuver from the Battle Master subclass, and give you a d6 to use said maneuver. Which one will we be taking? Trip Attack, of course. Force strength saves or knock foes prone with your staggering blows. It’s better to use Ensnaring Strike if your ranged ADC is going to fighting the foe, but Trip Attack comes back on a Short Rest and has good synergy with melee allies.
LEVEL 7 - FIGHTER 2
Second level Fighters can move with surprising speed, as Action Surge will let you take an additional action on your turn. You can do a lot with this extra action: attack more (the obvious choice), cast spells, move around, heal allies... The only limit is your imagination, and the obvious limitations of only having one extra action.
LEVEL 8 - FIGHTER 3
3rd level Fighters get to choose their Martial Archetype, and man I wonder what subclass we’ll be choosing when we already have the Superior Technique Fighting Style...
Yeah Battle Master gives you more Combat Superiority dice (four of them, which are d8s) which can be used on the three new Maneuvers you learn (or on Trip Attack.) Regardless Bait and Switch will let you save your ADC from their own bad positioning and give them some more armor to hopefully not die, Distracting Strike will make a foe easier for your allies to hit (if you can’t knock them prone because your ADC wants to shoot them), and Goading Attack will make it harder for them to hit your allies.
Much like your d6 from Superior Technique these dice come back on a Short or Long Rest. And finally you can grab proficiency with one Artisan’s Tool of your choice thanks to Student of War: I opted for Cartography Tools because well... I’m still trying to pick up abilities related to living in Bilgewater, even if you live at the bottom of the sea.
Tumblr media
(Artwork made for Riot Games.)
LEVEL 9 - PALADIN 6
Now that you can hold people down along with their boats I think more defense would be nice. 6th level Paladins get Aura of Protection, boosting their saving throws by an amount equal to their Charisma modifier, which currently isn’t a lot but... hey: it’s something. What’s better however is that your allies within 10 feet of you also get that boost, as your mere presence attracts fire away from them! Your foes are probably just focusing the bigger target, after all.
You can also prepare more spells like... Prayer of Healing? It’s good for out-of-combat healing. Lesser Restoration is also a decent option to deal with any potential crowd control heading for your big head, or your smaller friends.
LEVEL 10 - PALADIN 7
A big guy you is going to get hit by a lot of spells. Good thing magic resistance is cheap to come by, as Aura of Warding gives you and your allies within 10 feet resistance to the damage from any and all incoming spells! Now this won’t protect you from magical things that aren’t technically spells, but against any mid-lane mages this added resistance will help you and your friends keep alive.
Additionally you can now use Harness Divine Power twice per Long Rest to recover some 2nd level spells, which is about as high as your spell slots will go anyways.
LEVEL 11 - PALADIN 8
8th level Paladins get another Ability Score Improvement, and if you feel like your Paladin spells aren’t taking much effect more Charisma would make them more likely to restrain your foes while also having the added bonus of increasing your saving throws.
More Charisma does mean you can prepare more spells like Bless, Command, Compelled Duel, or other things like that, but honestly the main reason I went into Paladin was the class features and the spells are kinda a nice added bonus. Remember that as your Charisma increases later in the build you’ll be able to prepare more Paladin spells, because I’m probably not going to mention them again.

LEVEL 12 - WARLOCK 1
I hope you didn’t think the literal ageless deep-sea monstrous titan who literally works for an elder sea god wouldn’t have some Warlock levels. More specifically levels in the Undead Patron for Form of Dread to get your Titan's Wrath shield. As a bonus action you can transform for 1 minute, which along with giving you temporary hitpoints equal to your Warlock level plus a d10 and immunity to the frightened condition will give you the ability to inflict fear on those you hit until the end of your next turn. Frightening enemies is rather nice because it makes your enemies have disadvantage to hit anyone as long as you’re in their line-of-sight, and as an added bonus they will become too afraid to approach you.
But of course the main boon of being a Warlock is Pact Magic, which works like regular Spellcasting except not at all. You do get cantrips for a start, so grab Mage Hand to use your anchor to grab things from afar, and Toll the Dead to give yourself a ranged attack that also works well against foes with good armor.
But the main benefit is that you get two (currently just one, but soon to be two) Pact Magic slots that come back after a Short Rest, which can be used to cast spells as you see fit. Basically Warlocks get few spell slots that come back on a Short Rest, but they follow regular spell slot rules which of course means you can Smite with your Pact Slots.
Anyways the only spell I’d really recommend grabbing is Armor of Agathys: sure there are other good spells like Hex, Arms of Hadar (for your Riptide), or Hellish Rebuke but I’d mostly suggest using your lower level Pact slots to cast your far stronger Paladin spells like Ensnaring Strike or... well yeah Ensnaring Strike. (There’s other good ones but it’s most in-character to cast Ensnaring Strike lol.) Or just use your pact slots for Divine Smites.
LEVEL 13 - WARLOCK 2
Second level Warlocks get Eldritch Invocations like Eldritch Mind, granting you advantage on your concentration checks to ensure you keep foes ensnared. Also if you were getting frustrated about your lack of darkvision as a deep-sea Warforged take Devil’s Sight to actually get darkvision that can also see through magical darkness, because Warlocks are cool like that.
LEVEL 14 - WARLOCK 3
3rd level Warlocks get to choose their Pact Boon: since you’re going to be swinging your anchor for the most part Pact of the Blade does still make the most sense, but you could probably justify any of the Pact Boons as we don’t need anything particular from Pact of the Blade. Sorry that I don’t have much to say about this since it’s sorta just flavor that we have to deal with while getting the rest of your class features.
More importantly however your Pact slots go up to 2nd level, meaning you can prepare 2nd level spells like Ray of Enfeeblement (for Exhaust which might not help at this high level but eh it’s in-character), and Blindness / Deafness from the Undead spell list for some non-concentration crowd control. But most importantly however you can (finally) grab Hold Person to launch a Depth Charge that will hold a foe in place... as long as they keep failing their Wisdom saving throws... and are a humanoid... You know maybe you should just be spending your spell slots on Divine Smite.
LEVEL 15 - WARLOCK 4
4th level Warlocks get another Ability Score Improvement and seeing as you’re now investing more into Warlock than anything I’d suggest more Charisma to improve your spell saves and decrease the chance your foes won’t be frightened by your presence.
You can also learn more spells but there aren’t many more I want at this level. (Hell if anything I’d probably drop Ray of Enfeeblement right about now.) So instead of talking about leveled spells I’m going to say you should take the  Minor Illusion, which may make your foes see shadows in the depths that aren’t actually there.
Tumblr media
(Artwork by West Studio. Made for Riot Games.)
LEVEL 16 - WARLOCK 5
5th level Warlocks get another Eldritch Invocation, and... I dunno. Cloak of Flies can give you a Sunfire Aegis if you want to be the party’s main tank. Mire the Mind can be helpful. Or you can just bank everything into one big hit with Eldritch Smite, which has some merit. Honestly the Invocations I actually want are at higher levels.
But on the bright side you can get more spells! Drop Ray of Enfeeblement (like seriously that spell is awful past 2nd level lol) to grab Hunger of Hadar to summon more creatures from the depths to fight your foes, and... I dunno Counterspell is good to stop those unworthy from using magic to escape.
But what we’re really here for is Spirit Shroud! Use your Titan’s Wrath to increase your damage, and also reliably slow down your foes in case you can’t hold them down. I’d still argue that Ensnaring Strike is your best choice to keep enemies down, but Spirit Shroud is good if you just need to do damage.
LEVEL 17 - WARLOCK 6
6th level Undead Warlocks have been under the sea for so long that they become Grave Touched. Along with not needing to eat, drink, or breath you can make any damage you do become Necrotic damage. And while in your Form of Dread you can roll an additional damage die whenever you deal Necrotic damage.
I never mentioned what your “anchor” should be but a Greataxe probably fits the best both aesthetically and for damage output. With Grave Touched you can turn your d12 weapon damage into 2d12 damage while in your Form of Dread! Do keep in mind that you can only do this once per turn, but combined with Spirit Shroud you can actually start dealing some good damage!
You can also prepare another spell but I’m going to wait for...
LEVEL 18 - WARLOCK 7
7th level Warlocks can learn 4th level spells, so drop Hunger of Hadar (because it doesn’t scale up with spell slot level) to grab Dimension Door (because you have low mobility so the Teleport Summoner Spell is great to have), Death Ward from the Undead spell list (to give yourself or an ally a Guardian Angel; it lasts for 8 hours so if you have any spare spell slots you should just pass it around to the group!) and... hey why not go deep and use  Summon Aberration to get some allied sea monsters to help.
On top of that you get more Eldritch Invocations: take Trickster’s Escape to give yourself some tenacity, because a big guy like you will need it. But honestly we’re going to be swapping a lot of invocations soon.
LEVEL 19 - WARLOCK 8
8th level Warlocks get one last Ability Score Improvement, and the choice is up to you: if you want to hit as hard as possible with your anchor get more Strength. If you want to be frightening and magical (and also protect nearby allies) more Charisma would be good. If you find yourself taking a lot of damage and losing concentration however Resilient Constitution would give you a bit more health and also boost your concentration checks considerably.
You could also learn another spell, but (once again) I’m going to wait for...
LEVEL 20 - WARLOCK 9
9th level Warlocks finally get the good Eldritch Invocations, and you probably didn’t expect me to incorporate Nautilus’ joke animation into this build, did you? Drop either Cloak of Flies and Trickster’s Escape (just lose whichever one you think isn’t as useful it’s probably Cloak of Flies though) in favor of Whispers of the Dead (which probably isn’t that useful by total level 20 but is definitely in-character) and Ascendant Step, to stop that anchor from weighing you down!
And finally you get 5th level Pact slots, which along with being really good to Smite with also lets you cast Antilife Shell from the Undead spell list, and Hold Monster to take the beasts of the depths down with you! You could probably drop some of your other Warlock spells for more powerful 5th level spells, but I think your repertoire makes enough sense currently. Not that you’re going to hit level 20 anyways.
FINAL BUILD
PROS
Peer into the darkness - You’re a sturdy boy with good AC (despite your lack of a shield) and great saving throws, not to mention a nice solid healthbar due to your good Constitution score.
Drag them down - Wow can you believe that the character I designed to have a lot of CC has a lot of CC? Even if you’re just using Ensnaring Strike and Trip Attacks you can really hamper your foes movement and make them easy pickings for your allies.
I will have vengeance - You can actually do good damage when you try thanks to Spirit Shroud, Grave Touched, and (of course) your Smites.
CONS
The tide ebbs - Much like in League your Achilles’ Heel is going to be foes who have good Tenacity (IE Strength saves) or can otherwise avoid being held down by you.
This anchor just weighs me down - Also much like in League you’re a very slow boy with basically no ranged options, meaning that any enemy who can keep their distance and poke you from afar will leave you treading water.
Lost and forgotten - In the quest for as much crowd control as possible you lose out on some stats: having 20s in your main stats would be nice, and having an uneven Constitution isn’t great either. Perhaps this build is better with Point Buy or simply rolling for stats, because your weird level split will leave you starved for ability scores.
But those flaws won’t matter much with allies by your side to help you sink your foes. Be a shield for your allies and hold down your enemies as you drag them all to the depths. No man stands alone in an empty sea, and allies are never more than a quick swim away.

realized i don’t think i ever shared my rabbit hole of headcanons as for bombermen following standard shonen anime physics in a universe where, as the show goes on, it becomes increasingly clear barely anything else does, transcript under the cut
[image 1:
in general i give them heavy themes of malleability, honestly, which goes down to an unwell level with their nature as a whole stemming from another headcanon on the bomb crystal being an anchor for universal causality
since in the show bombermen are shown not only to have their bomb-creating abilities but highly-skilled ones, like mighty, the MA-units, and some of the shitennou, having supernatural physical ability compared to anything demonstrated by non-bomberman characters (with the closest we get being birdy, who still loses quickly to max)
my favorite example of those skills being mighty's flashstepping to the other side of the room just to touch misty's ears]
[image 2:
i was wondering that too! but they blush and mighty had those bandaids, which seems to suggest they have bloodflow, and shiro's shown getting nauseous enough he needs to throw up in several episodes - i think they probably have a different layout, but they most likely have organs and circulatory fluid of some sort!
i've been mostly attributing their lack of visible injury from bombs being a result of the aforementioned supernatural physical ability in a durability aspect, with the general logistics of it being like
in a universe where most beings are subject to the normal limits of a physical form, bombermen operate more on something like video game logic, where while they're born as weak as anything else they have the unique ability to increase their potential far beyond what should be rational limits due to the bomb crystal as an anchor for causality making them operate not on a physical but conceptual level
they effectively have no level cap because theoretically, if they just kept training and kept fighting to hone their combat capabilities/"stats" nonstop, they would rack up so much figurative exp that they'd be like the only video game protagonist in a world of npcs
i'd say mighty and momo are about the closest we see to that, but it's not like a video game where the rest of the world ceases to exist and you can just grind nonstop with no consequences - they still have to do every other part of their life, and as they get stronger, they start to become more and more alienated from the fears and concerns of the "normal" people around them
basically, passive reality-warpers who are unaware of their own ability, with that ability being given in the first place to make them unwitting (initially, at least) guardians of the bomb crystal because they're obviously not going to let the place they live be destroyed]

Stats:
Name: Bentley Bong
Nicknames: Ben, Bento Box (derogatory)
Age: 24
Pronouns: He/They
Sexuality: Pansexual
Big 3: Aquarius Sun, Cancer Moon, Sagittarius Rising
Mini Bio:
Bentley has always been used to being in the spotlight. At work, on the streets, or at social gatherings, that attention always seemed to follow him to the point that it felt more like a byproduct of his personality, and definitely was not something he actively sought out. He was a dreamer and a storyteller, and how he was able to live out these fantasies was of more interest to him rather than the fame.As he grew, and so did his notoriety, it made it harder and harder for him to connect with others. That loneliness grew and as more people wanted to know “Bentley Bong, child star!”, he started to fear that Ben, lover of Charli XCX and memes, would be forgotten. He started to yearn for a normal life, where he could make friends and be around others  and even when he finally achieved that goal, that fear of losing his friends still lurked in the shadows.
So, quitting his day job seemed like a no brainer. Anything to preserve the friends he has, and freeing up his time to make more.
Headcanons:
Ben is someone who feels things intensely, which oftentimes means he can get swept up in these emotions and forget to be more rational. He’s happy when others are happy, and sad when others are sad, so he makes sure to cheer up those around him and tries to lend a shoulder to cry on when needed.
His energy and child-like enthusiasm can make him appear a bit naive at times, but Ben is much more analytical and calculated than he lets on. He’s run through every possible scenario of a situation, probably panicked and overthought about it too, before ultimately deciding the risk was well worth taking.
It’s hard for him to be alone with himself. That doubt and fear of being replaced or forgotten creeps in if he’s alone with his thoughts, and so he tries to fill his time by visiting friends or calling someone up to hang out. And if it’s a dire situation, he would even be desperate enough to call up his parents for a gig.
As sociable as he is, Ben is well aware he uses the term “friend” far too loosely when in fact, there’s only a few in his close circle that he would call his “best friend until the end of time or whatever ends up happening in the universe”, B.F.U.T.E.O.T.O.W.E.U.H.I.T.U. for short. These select few are the ones who are privy to his nightmares and are the ones he feels he can let down his guard with and not have to be so “on”.

What`s another year!
So as we put 2023-24 to bed, we reflect on a campaign that saw us four points clear at the top after seven games and dreaming of the promised land. However, the joy was short lived as results began to fade and after beating Birmingham at home on 19th September we won just four of the next twenty two league games before beating Ipswich on the 3rd of February at Deepdale. It was a shocking sequence of results and to go almost half a season winning just four games would have been way too much for plenty of owners. North End saw fit to retain the services of Ryan Lowe and the Ipswich win was the start of a five game run which saw us win four and draw one. We were, once again, incredibly, on the brink of the play offs but a draw at home against Hull was the start of a final twelve game run in that saw North End take just eleven points from the thirty six on offer which is relegation form in anyone`s book. We won three, drew two and lost seven of those final twelve games including losing the last five games on the trot. In those two runs of twenty two and twelve games we won just seven out of thirty four which is an appalling return. I know people will say we finished tenth on one of the bottom six budgets but if money were all that were needed in football then why would clubs bother employing a coach. Ipswich have spent just 4.2m and look where they will be starting next season!
I wanted a change after the defeat to QPR in December as I had seen more than enough of the brand by then. Lowe bought himself some time with the results in February and hopes were raised as we clung on to the tails of the play offs. However it is much more than the brand on the pitch that made up my mind about the manager. The comments about fans and badges was the end for me, for in what other business would a company slag off or disrepect the opinion of it`s customers? The fan base is undoubtedly split on Lowe but I talk to many people and I would say that at least two out of three of the fans would like a change in the hot seat. The manager has calmed down a little since those appalling comments in December, no doubt some sage advice coming from above as to his future conduct and comments in the media, but he still has rather an annoying habit of throwing his charges under the bus in his post match comments.
Anyway, enough about the manager as thoughts move to next season. With Millar and Browne gone North End need to strengthen and if Lowe insists on playing the wing back system then he needs to buy two wing backs. No doubt there will be a good take up on season cards once again as North End have a very loyal fan base in spite of everything. 63 years without kicking a ball in the top flight is an appalling record and while the current owners have little to do with the first fifty years of that it is worth mentioning that North End had four Championship play off campaigns between 2001-2009 and have had none since. No doubt people can make their own mind up about that stat. My fear for next season is that the club have put all their eggs in one basket with the manager and if we get off to a poor start then the club will have nowhere to go with most of the fan base saying I told you so. However, we all hope that scenario does not happen and that the close season investment is wise and appropriate. We could possibly have new owners by then, who knows, and things may look very different. I have no doubt that the Hemmings family will sell for around the 40-45m mark, to the right investors, but sometimes with new owners you have to be careful what you wish for. For now we can only wait and see how things evolve between now and August 10th, but the club feels stale at the moment and something must be done before the new campaign begins to freshen things up.
And finally this week:- whilst waiting to get off a very slow moving car park at West Brom last Saturday I had the pleasure of bumping into Nick Scholes and his good lady wife. For those who don`t know Mr and Mrs Scholes have given immeasurable support to the youth set up at Preston North End over many, many years. Nick was very proud as he told me that the youth team had won the Alliance league last Saturday morning, therefore completing the league and cup double this season. There are many unsung heroes at football clubs up and down the land and if we had a competition for the PNE unsung hero then my vote would, undoubtedly, go to Mr and Mrs Scholes for their enourmous contribution to the Youth set up at Deepdale. Thanks Nick, and it was a pleasure, as usual, to meet you and your good lady again last Saturday.

NERDS: A Manifesto | A Capella Science
youtube
I got a lyrical proclivity
Special like relativity
General knack of physics
Incredible rap ability
Feeling me? Don't tell me these glasses lack in virility
I'm physically intimate yo
Cause physics is into me
The cold open
Nerds from CERN to Hoboken
The soft spoken
When talking openly
Gets your nose broken
It's no joke and I'm
Not hoping to make light
Just throwing a rope
If you got no hope
To hang tight
Dang right
I know what high school life is like
Can't fight
When every bully is twice your height
Turning the pages fascinated up late nights
But stay bright little nerdling
Cause when the hard part's done you got the world on a string
Leaving home as a hobbit you'll return as a king
Cause modern life is brain boxing and you're lord of the ring
It goes
Nerds!
Our name since junior high
But now we're Doctor Last Name saving juniors' lives
It goes
Nerds!
We got pushed at the front of the class
But now we running banks pushing fat stacks of cash
It goes
Nerds!
Ears burnin but we never let it catch fire
Stayed calm built a dot com empire
Nerds!
So keep your pride with your face in the dirt
Cause it's no secret that the geek shall inherit the earth
I'm repping nerd rights
Because we're hotter than thermite
Sharper that any pencil
At the start of the term
Might I suggest
That next to any text a nerd writes
That Hollywood gossip whoring
Is boring like a termite
Cause we're the greats
From Shakespeare to Cape Fear
Oscar nom dot com bubbles in your great beer
Engineers need a mention here
For turning tension and stress
Into a professional career
Yeah we've learned to be relentless
So whether you're a chemist
Inventor of medicines
Or a dental hygienist
Apprentice in theoretical dietetics of lettuce
Just get up and represent;
You know the world has got a nerd fetish
So all my geeks in the closet living secretly
I see you sneaking nature docs on the BBC
No time to hide, take pride in our legacy
Cause it's a brand new world; 51 Pegasi
Nerds!
You say we're lame; are you kidding me?
Nerds!
You think great techs can't have great sex?
We study Wikipedia pages and type in LaTeX
Nerds!
Kept you blind, under cover like a peregrine
Sly enough to leave you Hufflepuffin' while we Slytherin
Nerds!
I never got to be fly as a kid
But my vocabulary gave me sick rhymes to spit
I studied science
Grew up to be a rhyme sayer
No Minnesota connection, one of a kind
Say you're pumping iron?
I'm pumping ions through this bilayer
You can't abide this myelin if you try, player
Mind greater than a giant Ghana land snail
Sign "theta" when I'm answering my fan mail
Rhymes get under your skin just like a hang nail
Wits make you dizzy better hold on to the handrail
I know my limits,
So don't you try to limit me
Won't be derivative
Spitting back what you're giving me
What matters is understanding patterns and symmetry
So I'll be integrating your factual data lyrically
OMG so OP These NERDs
Got the ATP to defeat all you NPCs
LCD to your CRT
TNG to your TMZ
ICBM to your TNT
Cause we're explosive like caesium
Bright like burning magnesium
Swallow you like amoebas
Enveloping paramecium
Fighters right in our element
Like a knight in Elysium
When we bridle the elements
Hell we make it look easy hon.
You think it looks easy? Umm.
Well how bout we face off?
Ignoring laboratory procedure?
You'll blow your face off
So keep your He-Man stats in your grey skull
Cause grey matter is power
That's the power of Grayskull
Nerds!
They called us ADHD, made us take pills
Now we're rippin 88 keys, rocking great skills
Nerds!
If you ever took band or theatre
Take a bow to the haters
And say "Calc-u-later!"
Nerd!
You don't appreciate this high tone
Tell me again how you would die without your iPhone
Nerd!
Music, science and art, the trifecta
Kneel before the mighty pocket protector

Melissa Harlow - Embracing Life's Adventures at 62: From Sailing the Pacific Ocean to Hiking the John Muir Trail
Melissa in her own words:
“After connecting with my now husband on match.com 20 years ago, we realized we had one key difference: he wanted a partner to ‘Sail around the world’. I, on the other hand, wasn't an adventurer. I was a professional woman with a degree in Psychology, dedicated to non-profit work and healthcare.
But my husband ignited a desire in me to embrace life's adventures while we were still healthy. The turning point came when he asked, ‘When are you going to quit your job and sail around the world with me?’
Despite my initial fears and attachments, I couldn't ignore the call to live life to the fullest. We set sail across the Pacific Ocean, and it changed me profoundly.
We continued our adventures by buying an RV and exploring the US, Canada, and Alaska, much to the surprise of our family.
These experiences made me resilient and fearless.
Returning from a sailing journey and hiking the John Muir Trail at age 62, I realized that the world was full of opportunities.
I see people looking at me differently now, sensing my quiet confidence. My adventure started late, but it's proof that life-changing decisions can happen at any age. The question remains: “Do it now or not?””

The Scoop on Natural Food Preservatives: A Delectable Journey from Antimicrobial Awesomeness to Beverage Bliss
Picture this: a world where food doesn’t last forever, and you actually know what you’re putting into your body. Shocking, right? Well, not anymore! The Natural Food Preservatives Market is booming, valued at a whopping USD 406.73 million in 2021. And brace yourselves, by 2030, it’s expected to grow to a mind-blowing USD 747.75 million. Can we get a round of applause for the antimicrobial superheroes and antioxidant champions in the food world?
Tumblr media
Behind the Scenes: Why the Fuss?
Why the sudden obsession with natural food preservatives, you ask? Well, blame it on the health-conscious folks. Apparently, consumers want to know what they’re eating, and shockingly, they prefer it not to be a science experiment. Enter natural food preservatives — the cool, hip substitute for those mysterious synthetic additives.
And hold your horses —
it’s not just about health. The organized retail sector is flexing its muscles, especially in regions like Asia Pacific and Latin America. Packaged and processed foods are flying off the shelves, and guess who’s the unsung hero? Yep, natural food preservatives, keeping your favorite snacks and drinks fresh for longer.
Market Snapshot: Not Your Average Selfie
We’ve got some stats for you — but fear not, we won’t drown you in numbers. The Global Natural Food Preservatives Market is on a 7% CAGR joyride. Antimicrobial function? It’s the crowned king, ruling over the largest segment. And the fastest-growing? Still, the antimicrobial wonder.
Pause for dramatic effect.
Global Map of Yum: Where’s the Action?
North America, Asia Pacific, Europe — they’re not just places on the map; they’re battlegrounds for the Natural Food Preservatives Market. In 2023, North America’s throwing a party with USD 11 million, and by 2030, they’re all grown up with USD 18 million. Meanwhile, Asia Pacific is the rebel child, growing faster than you can say “preservative.”
Function Showdown: Antimicrobial vs. Antioxidant
In the epic battle of functions, antimicrobial takes the crown, reigning supreme with its shelf-life-extending prowess. Meanwhile, antioxidant is the rising star, riding the wave of evolving dietary patterns and the quest for holistic well-being.
Application Extravaganza: Processed Foods vs. Beverages
Processed foods, the heavyweight champion of the market, catering to our fast-paced lives and demanding taste buds. But wait, there’s a plot twist — beverages are stealing the spotlight, embracing the era of refreshing, additive-free options. Who knew drinks could be such divas? For More Information:

Regional Rumble: North America vs. Asia Pacific
North America is the wise old sage, boasting a cutting-edge food industry and health-conscious consumers. But hold on — Asia Pacific is the wild card, with rapid urbanization, a growing middle class, and a love affair with clean label products. Who will emerge victorious in this culinary clash?
Market Drivers: Because Every Hero Needs a Motive
Consumer Health Awareness: People want to live forever, and they’re starting by eating healthier. Natural food preservatives to the rescue!
Clean Label Trend: The era of scrutinizing labels is here. Consumers want transparency, and manufacturers are rushing to meet demands for recognizable ingredients.
Market Restraints: The Kryptonite Effect
Limited Shelf Life: Natural food preservatives might not last as long as their synthetic counterparts. Goodbye, eternal snacks!
Cost Implications: Turns out, being healthy comes at a price — and it’s not always cheap.
Competitive Landscape: Where the Big Players Duke it Out
Cargill, DSM, Kerry Group — it’s like a foodie version of a heavyweight boxing match. These giants are not just making preservatives; they’re crafting a healthier, safer food ecosystem.
Recent Developments: Fresh Out of the Innovation Oven
Cargill drops Natufresh in April 2023, DuPont brings TruPure to the table in May 2023. It’s like Christmas for food nerds.
Key Market Trends: Plant-Based All the Way
We’re not just talking about salads here. The market is crazy about plant-based and naturally sourced preservatives. Because who doesn’t want their food to come with a side of botanical goodness?
In Conclusion: A Foodie’s Utopia?
The Natural Food Preservatives Market is not just about extending shelf life; it’s a journey towards healthier, cleaner eating. As consumers become more aware and demanding, the market evolves, and the giants of the food industry adapt.
So, next time you’re munching on your favorite snack, remember — there’s a good chance some antimicrobial wizardry is keeping it fresh. Food tech? More like food magic!
