DAY 2, TWEEK TWEAK, fluff alphabet

tweek shows his love by gifts. if its coffee or handmade drawings which usually turn out as if they were drawn by a two year old, but im sure you still love them. while he freaks out in case you dont like one of his gifts or you're getting sick of them, your smile makes it all worth it

Background / Backstory

Grew up peacefully at first with her mother teaching her to use her pillar strength and senses wisely. She had a hard time making friends when she was young because the kids were afraid of her. Even after she wondered away from her sleeping mother one morning and learned she was immune to the sun. Her father was a hamon student and found her playing with a puppy. He also saw flowers growing around her as a result of her hamon. He began to train her from then on and thought her to use hamon to heal as well as defend.

Teenage Years / Adolescence

☾ when she turned 13 her father had become a grate hamon teacher and healer in there tribe. He was in his late 50s but her and her mother aged slower than him. They both continued to train her and she became a hamon warrior when she turned 15. Her tribe accepted her and she soon had many friends. She fell in love but they were never to be together. There lives were just to different and he rejected her witch caused her to develop a fear of rejection and she decided never to fall in love again.

Adulthood

☾ As time passed on her father became chief of the tribe and she in turn became a princess but they did not really use that sort of tital. Emily was now well into her 30s and her father was very old. They both had heard of her mothers clan being attacked and wiped out by other rogue pillar men and that other hamon tribes were also being slaughtered. Fearing an attack emily's parents sent her away to train and learn more about her powers and herself but in reality they just wanted her to be safe. While she is away the rogue pillarmen attack killing everyone and her mother falls by there hands refusing to join them. By the time Emily returns 5 years later she finds the ruins of her home, her people nothing but corpses, and a crumbled statue of her mothers body witch turns to dust when she touches it. Emily morns for days and goes in search of revenge but never finds anything to tell her what happened.

How Nature Inspires Me

I think that the coolest thing about nature is that it improves our mental health and ability. Spending time in nature can improve memory, attention, concentration, impulse inhibition, and mood (Bratman et al., 2012). In children and teenagers specifically, nature can improve self-esteem, stress, resilience, depression, and quality of life too (Tillmann et al., 2018). I find that this idea of nature improving mental health translates really frequently to my own life. Any time I am outside, especially when the weather is nice, I almost instantly feel way better and more energized. I have recently started taking a bit of a longer route on my way to the bus stop in the morning because I get to walk through the park along a river instead of next to a busy street and plaza. I find that just this small amount of time in nature at the start of my day has an overwhelmingly positive effect on my mood and motivation for the rest of the day. I think it is incredibly cool that a 5-minute walk through a park once a day, as part of my normal commute, can have such positive effects for me.

One of my favourite aspects of how nature can boost my mental health is by providing me with a sense of inspiration. Whenever I feel like I am out of ideas for creating art or music, I look for the first opportunity I have to get outside and go for a walk through a local trail. During the spring, I love getting excited over seeing all the leaves starting to emerge, and the first signs of green grass or warmer weather. The spring tends to instil me with a sense of anticipation that makes me feel excited for the upcoming summer and inspires me to start thinking of what types of music I want to write once the semester ends, or what sorts of art I want to draw once it gets warm enough to sit and draw outside. Once the summer and warm weather hits, I generally spend the most amount of time out in nature. Everything in the summer seems so vibrant and alive, and it encourages me to go for long walks or sit in the sun and enjoy the weather and the sense of wellbeing I feel from nature in the summer. This feeling inspires me to want to create as much as I can and fills me with the energy to do that. I find that the summer is generally my most creatively productive time, and most of that is directly fueled by having the opportunity to be in and appreciate nature.

Once autumn starts, I generally begin slowing down, but I usually get more of a sense of urgency from seeing the weather start to change and the natural landscape start to morph into winter. I still love heading outside during autumn because the new colours of the trees, the abundance of cool mushrooms to find, and the general feeling of nature are really cozy and calming, despite the urgent feeling of constantly needing to be outdoors. Autumn tends to inspire some of my weirder but more relaxed music, and some of my coolest nature-inspired art. While I don’t get outside as much in the winter, I find that when I do, I always feel really fulfilled afterwards and my motivation for the rest of the week is significantly improved. The cold and darkness of winter can be brightened by the stark white snow and incredible views of winter hikes, and the positive feelings imbued by nature can shine even when the sun is barely out.

When Finnick emerges from his room one sleepless night later, Mags is waiting for him. Caspia, thankfully, is nowhere to be seen. Back in District 4, nothing short of a literal cyclone would roust Abalone from his shack on the beach. The Capitol is no exception.

"Nice of you to finally join us," Mags remarks. Then, after closer inspection: "You look awful. Did you sleep at all?"

"Kind of." The few snatches of sleep he could manage were plagued by nightmares of being pulled underwater by monsters with crimson smiles, razor claws, and glittering jewels for eyes.

"Head up, Finnick," Mags says. "It's day one of training, and we need to figure out your strategy. Sit down, eat, drink."

Although eating is the last thing on Finnick's mind, he knows he has to remain strong and healthy for the Games. So he nibbles on an egg and bacon pastry while Mags presents her case.

"Today, I want you to team up with the Primaries," Mags says. Even though she was up until the wee hours of the morning attending meetings, no signs of fatigue show on her person. Finnick cannot say the same about himself. "You know the drill: Show enough to deem you competent, but not so much they consider you a great threat. After the parade, any smart tribute will have noticed how popular you are, at least where sponsorship is concerned. For your competition, at least, you need to balance your personality with mediocre skill."

"I'll stick with the basics," Finnick suggests.

"I also want you to study them," Mags continues. "See if you can't draw out more than the usual information. What are their likes, their dislikes? Are they ignorant or perfectionist or vain?"

"If you're from One, you're all three," Finnick says with a snicker.

"I want you to figure out what angle they're going to lean toward in their interviews," Mags says. "It'll give us a better idea of how they'll play in the Games."

"And what about Caspia?" Finnick asks.

Mags sets down her cup of coffee like she's afraid it might shatter. "What about her?"

"We kind of fought last night," Finnick admits, setting his half-eaten pastry back down on the plate. "I'm not sure she's willing to be my ally. Did you know she's not going to join the Career pack? She's playing alone."

"Abalone is a fool to encourage it," Mags says quietly. "We can't afford such a level of virtue in these Games."

"'Virtue'?" Finnick echoes. "What's so virtuous about pulling a loner? I think it's selfish. She doesn't have a chance of winning alone. They'll take her out at the bloodbath just to get her out of the way." He gesticulates wildly, nearly upsetting a full glass of orange juice set next to his plate.

"Don't write Caspia off so quickly," Mags warns. "Not wanting to be a part of the Career pack is, in my opinion, not a smart choice. But it is a noble one."

At Finnick's protest, she puts up a hand to quiet him. "Let me remind you exactly what kind of people you're going to be allying yourself with," she says shortly. "One and Two are called Primaries for a reason: They win almost every year. Do you know why? It's not because they're pleasant and merciful people. They cater exactly to what the Capitol wants: A savage, gory murder spree with no rules and no inhibition. And you are choosing to put yourself in the middle of it, Finnick. Don't resent Caspia for not wanting to do the same."

The orange juice with which Finnick washes down his breakfast tastes almost like the stuff his mother makes at home. Almost, but not quite. "Do you think she has a chance?"

"In any other Games? Perhaps. But you're her district partner. If the Capitol and the district money has to go to one or the other, it will go to you. And I think she knows it."

Oh. Finnick tries to imagine himself in Caspia's place. A poor, somber girl with a decent Career background volunteers in hopes of scraping by on skill and a bit of luck, only to immediately be overshadowed by her district partner, the wealthy, popular, prodigious Finnick Odair. If he were Caspia, he would resent him, too.

"You were the shining star of the opening ceremonies," Mags says. "Already you have the attention of the Capitol and most of the tributes. Caspia has neither. And to put it bluntly, she's pretty, but not as pretty as you."

As cruel as it sounds, Finnick knows she's right. Caspia is not ugly by any stretch of the imagination—almost no Career tribute is—but her beauty is harsher, a little less inviting and good-natured. A raging sea to Finnick's calm one.

Mags' frank assessment brings up the memory of his and Caspia's quarrel the night before. Mags knows Finnick, probably better than he knows himself. Though he hates himself for it, he finds himself pondering as he sits across from her at the table, just the two of them. Would Mags volunteer him without his consent? She had seemed so adamant against the idea before, but if Caspia was right and there were no better candidates...

No singular entity—whether it is another victor, your family, or even yourself—comes before the good of the whole district.

"So what do you suggest?" The luxurious tablecloth is a tightly bunched wad in Finnick's sweaty hand. "Treat her like an enemy?"

"Turning against your own district partner doesn't tend to sit well with the Capitol," Mags responds. "And I imagine it wouldn't go over well in Four, either. They donate to your sponsorship too, you know."

"Sponsorship isn't the only factor present in the Games," Finnick counters. "Parachutes don't mean anything if the Gamemakers really have it out for you."

"So make it worth their while to let you live," Mags says, as if it's the easiest objective in the world. "You've already caught the Capitol's attention with your exhibition last night. When you go in for your private session, charm the Gamemakers, but don't amaze them. An extremely high training score, combined with your preexisting Capitol support, will put a target on your back like nothing else. You need Gamemaker favor more than district."

Finnick nods and wipes his mouth on a cloth napkin. "Anything else I should know before I go?"

Mags' nails tap incessantly on the table's wooden surface—a habit she tends to employ while in deep thought. "Just because you can't reveal anything vital about yourself doesn't mean the other tributes won't. Never underestimate the value of information, Finnick. The Career pack likely won't be the only alliance made. Search for deficiencies and search for strengths. When you come back tonight, I want a list of each tribute with at least one strength and one weakness, Career and Callow both. And it can't just be the easy ones."

A slow grin spreads across Finnick's face. Finally, something he could do besides stand around and look pretty and stupid. "I can be good at getting secrets out of people."

"Ortensia will be by to take you down at ten," Mags tells him.

"Tell her I'll go down early," Finnick says. "The other Careers always go down early, and they go by themselves."

Mags nods approvingly. "Now you're thinking like a victor."

When Finnick strolls down to the Training Center an hour early, he's immediately greeted by the Career pack already gathered next to a wrestling mat off to the side.

"Hey, there, stranger." Ruby beckons him over. "Nice of you to join us." Her short hair, still curled from last night's parade, is held back by a simple black headband. Somehow, she manages to make simple activewear look appealing. There isn't a wrinkle or stray thread on her person. Her eyes, now devoid of makeup, are a deep, rich brown and bright with energy.

Finnick fake-yawns. "I just couldn't bring myself to get out of bed this morning."

Ruby matches his smirk with one of her own. "Up late last night?"

"Yeah. I couldn't stop thinking about this girl I met after the parade." Finnick inches closer, searching cautiously for signs of disinterest or outright repugnance. So far, she shows neither. "She wore this fantastic red piece, and let me tell you, she was drop-dead gorgeous."

Both of Ruby's brows shoot up in mock interest. "Really? Who is this mystery girl you speak of?"

"Not sure." Finnick tilts his head. "If you see her, will you point her out?"

Ruby inclines her own head, mimicking Finnick. "No guarantees. Sounds like this girl might be competition."

"Hey!" Alabaster calls from several paces away. "Are you two going to stand there and chat all day, or are we going to get some work done?"

Ruby rolls her eyes but turns to rejoin the pack. "Come on."

There's no need for introductions, since Finnick knows their names from the reaping reruns. But he still needs to become a member of the Career pack, and whatever shaky relationship they'll form for the duration of the Games is engendered here, in the Training Center. So he remains silent when Ruby begins introductions.

"Bellona, Miles, this is Finnick."

"Four." Bellona nods curtly, her tone cool and terse. Her pale blonde, almost white hair stands out in stark contrast to Miles's dark head and is pulled back in a severe bun. She has freckles, Finnick notices somewhat unhelpfully. They spatter her ash brown skin like paint, the same clear shade of taupe as her eyes.

Finnick grins. "Hey." He turns his greeting on Miles, who, to Finnick's surprise, smiles politely and extends his hand. Finnick takes it cautiously, but all Miles does is shake hands. He doesn't know what he expected from the tributes of brutal, spartan District 2, but Miles doesn't seem to fit the mold. He's young for a Career—sixteen, if Finnick remembers right—and seems a little unsure, shifting almost imperceptibly to stand behind Bellona once the introductions have concluded.

"Alabaster," Finnick tries.

Alabaster sneers. "Finnick."

So it's going to be like this, then. Repressing the urge to sigh, Finnick turns to Ruby, who at least has the grace to pretend at courtesy. But it's Bellona who speaks first.

"We're going to start with ranged weapons." She words it as a command, an order from a general to her soldiers. Finnick feels he has no choice but to agree.

They all follow her over to the ranged weaponry station, which offers a whole arsenal of weapons. There are spears, throwing knives, axes, slings, and darts, among other things Finnick doesn't remember the names for. Officially, training doesn't start until ten, which means they'll be left to their own devices for the first hour.

There are only a couple of other tributes here this early, and Caspia is not among them. The Career pack barrels past them like they own the Training Center, and the tributes scatter like fish set upon by sharks. Finnick, bringing up the rear, flashes an apologetic smile at one of the girls, who blushes and ducks her head shyly.

As they approach the ranged weapon station Bellona doesn't hesitate. She stalks up to the rack of knives, grabs a set, and begins flinging them with the speed and ease of a seasoned Career.

By the time she runs out of blades, the targets are peppered with knives. They aren't all perfect bullseyes, but the speed at which she threw them makes her feat much more impressive.

Knives are a good choice for spacious, open arenas, the academy instructors had told Finnick and his classmates. They allow a tribute to inflict damage upon their opponent without having to get within range of a sword or pair of fists. Throwing knives are a weapon District 2's female tributes specialize in, which means they are a weapon District 4 has had to teach its tributes how to counter or avoid.

But Bellona doesn't need to know that. So when Finnick's time comes, he throws his knives as he would at any training session back home. Small, ranged weaponry is not his strongest skill, and it shows. Still, he has to maintain the balance, play the part Mags has created for him. So once he is done, he rolls his shoulders and smiles like he just threw a perfect set.

"Not bad, eh?" he says.

"Yeah, sure, Four," Alabaster says. "I mean, I could do better in my sleep, but not bad." He grabs his own set of blades and moves to the front to take his turn.

By the time Ruby has thrown her set, almost all of the tributes have arrived, and the head trainer calls everyone over for orientation.

Finnick doesn't really pay attention to anything she says. He takes the chance to size everyone up while they're all gathered in one place without the added stress of a large crowd distracting them. Aside from the Career pack, none of them seem like particularly stiff competition. Callows, as Career districts like to call them, play essentially the same role every year: Live bait for Careers to hunt down and murder in horrible, bloody ways. At first glance, the line-up seems fairly stereotypical—frightened, starved rabbits from Six, Eight, and Twelve; intelligent but physically deficient individuals from Three and Five; bumbling rustics from the farming districts.

During his inspection, he inadvertently makes eye contact the gaze of the girl from Eleven, who doesn't blush but holds his gaze, unwavering. He winks. She simply looks away.

Judging by how Ruby and Alabaster titter between themselves, they're not listening either. Finnick wishes they would be quieter; the head trainer keeps flashing them annoyed looks, though she doesn't reprimand them aloud.

Seven tends to be a bit of a wild card when it comes to tributes. District 7's primary industry is lumber, and almost every year its tributes enter the arena with ample experience using axes and saws and other tools handled they handle daily back home—a fact reflected in their unusually high percentage of victors for a Callow district. Notable exceptions include children who work in the lumber processing factories, where using apparatus seen in the Games occurs much less frequently.

Seven's boy is short and has no left hand—perhaps the tragic result of a sawmill accident. When he gets to the girl, he catches her already looking at him. She's a small girl, probably his age, with fiery red hair and a smattering of freckles on both cheeks. He starts to smile at her, but she has already looked away, face flushed bright crimson.

The head trainer finally releases them, and immediately they all disperse to different stations.

Ten o'clock has officially come and gone, and trained experts materialize seemingly out of nowhere, ready to aid tributes at their respective stations.

"Swords," Bellona says, and immediately she and the pack head in the direction of the mat. It's not directly in the center of the gymnasium, but together they make enough noise to draw the attention of every tribute in the Training Center.

"Hey!" There's a pained cry as Alabaster bodily wrenches the arm of one of the Callows. "What do you think you're doing?"

"I got here first," the Callow—the boy from Ten—wrests his arm out of Alabaster's grip. "You don't have to be nasty."

"Excuse me?"

Finnick's legs are moving before he's consciously aware of them, brushing past the others, who jump out of his way in surprise, and grabbing Alabaster's wrist, poised to deliver a powerful blow.

"Not here," he starts. But Alabaster is already turning toward him, and in one fluid, trained movement, drives his fist into Finnick's jaw.

White, then utter darkness flashes across Finnick's vision. He doesn't remember falling, but the next thing he knows he's on the ground, hand pressed to his throbbing jaw.

"What was that, Four?" Alabaster is yelling, even as trainers are hauling him away with practiced efficiency. "Think you're some kind of hero? Callow-loving freak!"

District 1 male is easily aggravated, Finnick can hear himself reporting to Mags later.

A clinical hand touches his cheek: A medic, probing his face with gloved hands.

"Did he hit his head?"

"No." The single word comes out garbled, but at least it comes from Finnick himself. The others stare down at him wordlessly, varying levels of pity showing on their features. Miles, surprisingly, looks the most sympathetic. Bellona's brows are raised, eyes hooded, mouth quirked scornfully. Ruby just looks amused.

"We're going to go sit you down."

He's halfway to his feet by the time the medic's words register in his jumbled brain. "What? No."

The medic frowns. "Are you—"

"Yes, I'm sure." To prove his point, he hoists himself to his feet and cracks his neck. Standing, it's even more apparent that his little squabble has captured the attention of every tribute in the Training Center. "Takes more than a little love tap to knock me out."

The medic doesn't appear convinced, but he knows better than to argue. "Are you sure you don't want an ice pack?"

"Nah," Finnick lies. It's incredibly painful to muster a grin, but he does it anyway. "I'm fine."

At last, the medic walks away, but Finnick cannot let down the façade.

The head trainer is standing in the corner with Alabaster, apparently engaged in serious conversation with him. Indignation radiates from Alabaster in scorching waves, and the other tributes make sure to give him a wide berth.

"I think it'd be best if you took a break for today."

It's Ruby, standing so close her lips almost brush his ear when she speaks.

Instant dread freezes the blood in his veins. "You're kicking me out?"

Ruby shakes her head. "No, but Alabaster needs some time to cool down." Then she drifts away, rejoining District 2 in line at the hand-to-hand combat station.

Finnick walks all the way to the other side of the gymnasium to the boy's bathroom, makes sure no one else is present, and pulls the trashcan in front of the door before he allows himself to touch his face. It's tender and the flesh inside his mouth is a mess, but his jaw is still in full working order and he has all of his teeth. He's endured blows worse than this one at the academy. His pride, though, is another story completely. He spits into the sink, watching the blood from his mouth eddy and disappear down the drain.

How could he do this to himself, to Mags? His whole objective was to make nice with the Career pack, to secure a place with them for the Games. The boy from Ten could have handled himself; he hadn't asked for Finnick's help. Why had he felt the need to step in?

No more of that, he tells himself. From now on, he's focused on one goal only: Initiating himself into the Career pack. But he can't really do that right now, especially not with Alabaster out for his blood.

There are the other tributes, a voice that sounds suspiciously like Mags pipes up in the back of his mind. Never underestimate a player in the Games. Underestimating Callows is what gets Careers killed.

Finnick splashes some water on his face and pats it dry with a paper towel, staring at himself in the mirror like his face will change if he looks at it long enough. A mature face for fourteen, he heard Calliope say. A versatile face.

Well, Finnick thinks grimly, this versatile face has a lot of work to do. It takes conscious effort to adjust his features into something more amiable: softening the muscles around his eyes, relaxing his jaw, pulling up the corners of his lips in a pleasant smile. He tousles his hair, checks to make sure there's no blood gathered between in his teeth, and with his precise, most impenetrable expression plastered on his face, he slips out of the bathroom and saunters back into the gymnasium.

Since the Careers dominate all of the stations Finnick had wanted to visit, he elects to frequent the survival skills stations instead. He learns about edible plants, how to bind a wound, how to sterilize a water source. Most of these skills he learned back at the academy a long time ago, but he figures it wouldn't hurt to refresh his memory, especially when he needs these skills to be second nature in a place where nature itself will be like nothing he's ever known. More than once, he catches the Career pack stealing glimpses at him, muttering amongst themselves, and pretends not to notice.

When he's sure they are watching, he studies them. Where Bellona excels at ranged weaponry, she is not so adept at grappling, and where Miles is proficient with swords he does not fare as well with spears. Alabaster is all brute strength and offense, while Ruby is swift and primarily defensive. There's something hypnotizing about the way she fights, like a serpent always slipping out of her opponent's reach, inflicting a series of blows while, not fatal singularly, serve to gradually exhaust her adversary and weaken their defenses. Then, once the opposition has worn itself out, she darts in to deliver the fatal strike, swift and deadly. It's a good thing he's at the knot-tying station or he would've made an utter fool of himself, ogling at her like a mudskipper.

At lunch, Finnick eats alone. There's no point in approaching the Callows at this point; they're all as nervous and flighty as rabbits after watching the Careers flaunt their abilities for them to witness and fear. In the pre-Games period, psychological warfare is a more potent weapon than any sword or spear.

Once he's finished his lunch, he walks up to the trap station to try his hand at building snares. It's not much different from making nets, and Finnick finds his hands flying over the rope and sticks in no time, tying knots and making loops and attaching them to meticulously positioned sticks.

While he's working on a particularly complex knot, the girl from Seven has already mastered her first snare and has begun another. She seems highly competent, perhaps even more so than he is, finishing her snare almost before the instructor. She must notice him watching her because her ears turn pink beneath her mane of curly red hair.

"You're pretty good at that," Finnick remarks, jutting his chin at her completed snare.

"Thanks." She tucks a curl behind her ear and smiles shyly.

"I'm Finnick. District Four." He turns fully toward her but edges back a little so she won't feel crowded. Even crouching, he can tell he's a good head taller and about seventy pounds heavier than her.

"My name's Linden. I'm from Seven."

Abandoning his own snare, Finnick sits back on his haunches and links his hands around his shins. "So tell me, Linden: How'd a girl like you get so good at making these snares?"

For a long moment she remains silent, and Finnick thinks he's scared her into wordlessness. Finally though, she replies. Slowly, as if measuring each syllable before letting it out of her mouth. "In Seven, everything is in the woods. We have to clear out the birds and critters and such before we can cut down the trees."

Of course, she can't just come out and say she's trapping animals. But Finnick is gratified by her willingness to answer, even if it's indirect.

"Sounds like a smart idea," Finnick replies honestly. Learning to capture animals via snare is something he never learned how to do in the academy. If the arena turns out to be woodlands, Seven will be able to use it to their advantage much more comfortably than Finnick, who grew up on the coast of Panem.

After another pause, Linden blurts out in a single breath, "It was nice of you to, um, stand up for the boy from Ten."

Finnick winces and tries to cover it with a nonchalant shrug, absentmindedly tying a knot in a piece of twine. "It was stupid of me. The trainers would've taken care of it."

"I think it was brave," Linden replies quietly.

"Doesn't matter now. One's really got it out for me now. They're gonna slaughter me the second the gong rings." Finnick unravels his carefully woven knot with a single tug, letting it drop in a single, long strand at his feet.

"No, they won't."

A/N: This is a bit of a collab with my bestest best friend @lokistan! The ever amazing Star helped me come up with a question for each letter and she wrote the entirety of “N” herself! Hope you enjoy :)

A=Adoration: What do they adore about you? • Everything. How understanding you are. Loki’s been through a lot, and you’re always patient with him. Even if he was nervous about the relationship in the beginning, you let him take his time, reassuring him you could go slow. And knowing all that, you always checked if he was alright, making sure you weren’t doing anything that made him uncomfortable or weren’t going to fast. He didn’t think anyone else would be quite as considerate as you.

B=Beauty: What do they find most beautiful about you? • Your smile. When you look at him with your face all lit up, he thinks his heart is going to burst from joy. No one else had ever looked at him quite as softly, as kindly, as genuinely as that. He likes to think about your smile as he drifts off at night. It gives him the best dreams.

C=Cuddles: Do they like cuddling? • Not at first. Loki is very guarded and letting anyone into his space is a big decision. Once he warms up to you, however, all he wants to do is snuggle. His preference between big spoon and small spoon depends on the day. When he’s feeling particularly antsy or small, all he wants is to be held in your arms as if sheltered from the world. But on his better days, when he just wants to protect his little mortal, he likes to wrap his body around yours, keeping the two of you in your own little bubble of happiness.

D=Date: What’s their favorite date you’ve had? • The first one. He was too nervous at first to go out with you in public, resulting in a dinner for two in his quarters at the Tower. It was happiness like he’d never known before, the first of many soft, quiet moments you two would share. Loki remembers being too nervous to take your hand in his and being pleasantly surprised when you were the one to hesitantly intertwine your fingers together. He doesn’t think he’ll ever forget a single moment of that night.

E=Embarrassed: What about you makes them flustered? • The little things. Like when you take his hand in public. Or say you love him. Or throw a smile his way during a debriefing. Or laugh at one of his jokes. Everything you do seems so natural, so genuine, that it throws him off guard for a moment. When he realizes that’s because all the small things are reflections of how much you love him, his face goes bright red!

F=Forever: How do they plan the rest of your life together going? • Honestly, Loki doesn’t like to think about it. He just knows he needs to be with you, and that’s enough. Though, he did find a spell to expand a mortal lifespan, and plans on asking you if it’s ok to use it. If you say yes, he imagines whisking you away to a cabin in the woods for a while, spending some of your many years just basking in each other’s presence. If you say no, that’s fine too; he’ll still treasure every moment you have together and knows he’ll see you again some day.

G=Gifts: Do they like giving gifts? Receiving them? • Loves giving them; mixed feelings on receiving. Loki adores you so wholly and completely, he thinks it only natural he gives you a gift here and there. Ok, at least twice a month. If he sees something that reminds him of you—and most things do in some way—why not gift it to you? You always love them and want to give back to him. It always makes Loki confused because he had never seen himself worthy of such tokens of love. With every one you give him, you change his mind a little more.

H=Hello: What’s their favorite way to greet you? • With a kiss. Nothing long or extremely passionate, usually just a peck on the cheek or back of the hand. Sometimes, he’s too nervous to say he loves you out loud, but the little kiss says it all. Besides, the god considers it an honor to be allowed to be the one to give you such affections, and he plans on making the most of the privilege.

I=Impression: What was their first impression of you? • He’s intrigued. Loki never liked to have particularly strong feelings either way toward someone. But, despite being the God of Lies, he doesn’t like to deceive himself. There was some unplaceable thing about you that drew him in. Eventually, he realized it was because you never scorned him or cowered for him. No, you were always attentive and interested in listening to him. For someone like Loki, that was rare, so of course he wanted to stick around you.

J=Journal: Do they keep a journal? • Yes. Not religiously or anything. If he misses a few nights, it’s no big deal. He does like to quickly jot down a few thoughts when he can, though, usually about time he spent with you. Then when he can’t be with you at the moment for whatever reason, he can pull it out and flip through, reliving the memories with a smile on his face.

K=Kisses: What’s their favorite part of you to kiss? • The back of your hand. Asgard was a fairly formal place, and having been raised a prince, it was common for him to bow and place a kiss there. But with you, it was different. More meaningful. It was almost a way of bringing his old culture with him, yet making it his own. He wouldn’t always bow when he did it. In fact, more often than not, it was sans bow. Instead, if you were walking down the street hand in hand, he’d lift yours to his lips and plant a quick, gentle kiss there. Or if you were sitting together on the couch, he would do the same. Really, they were a good, fast little reminder of his affection for you at any time of the day. How adorably flustered it made you was just a bonus.

L=Love: How do they tell you they love you? • Through the things he does. Sometimes it’s hard for Loki to actually say the words because of his fears, so he opts to show you. He’ll ask if it’s ok to take care of you if it’s something bigger, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. So if you have a tough day, he’ll ask if it’d be alright if he draws you a bath or gives you a massage. If it’s a smaller thing, he doesn’t mention it. He’s not looking for praise, he just wants to show he loves you. So, sometimes he’ll make your favorites for dinner or dessert, or suggest watching your favorite movie or comfort TV show. Of course, you always notice and respond with “I love you, too.”

M=Mischief: Do they prank you? Prank with you? • Absolutely. Loki is the God of Mischief, a title he prides himself on much more than God of Lies. He never does anything too serious to you, just small things. Like convincing you of something absurd or making an illusion of a rather large bug, just enough to make you jump. Even better is pulling pranks with you. Like convincing Thor everyone but him can lift Mjolnir now. Or making Tony believe he’s going crazy and that beeping he keeps hearing is in his mind. And the best part of it all is when Loki gets to hear your beautiful laugh.

N=Never: What's something they would never do to you? • Push you. Loki understands that some things take time and patience. He would never pressure you to do something that you're not ready to do or say. Loki knows what the weight of the world feels like and would never put you through that.

O=Original: How original are they when it comes to wooing you? • It can go either way. After all, not too many people have magic at their disposal, and Loki loves using it to impress you. Then again, he loves to throw in cheesy pickup lines that make you grin like an idiot because he just looks so adorable saying them.

P=Protective: How protective are they of you? • Very, but he tries not to let it show. Loki doesn’t want to stifle you or make you think he believes you’re weak. You’re actually one of the strongest people he knows. Still, he always watches over you and checks in on you, making sure you’re alright and no one is upsetting you. And if someone has, oh boy, they better watch out because he certainly will have some choice words for them. Of course, that would come with a threat to the person not to let you know he’d spoken to them. Unless he’d gotten your permission to intervene.

Q=Quiet: What quiet, peaceful moments do they appreciate the most? • The ones where you don’t need to be doing anything else. So many people always need to be talking, but with the storm of thoughts always swirling in his mind, Loki appreciates the quiet. The fact that you two can just lay together saying nothing means so much to Loki. He likes just enjoying your calming presence, looking into each other’s eyes, almost as if communicating through the silence, the special kind that only those as close as you two could truly understand and appreciate.

R=Romance: How romantic are they? • Extremely. Loki loves to sweep you off your feet. He’s a little shy about it at first, but once he’s comfortable, he’s constantly writing/reading you love poems and songs. Candlelit dinners become commonplace and you find rose petals lining your way the table more often than not. And if you ever watch a rom-com, you can bet Loki will be taking notes.

S=Sharing: Are they good at sharing their emotions with you? • Sometimes. If his fears of you leaving get the better of him or cause the problem, he doesn’t really want to talk about it and risk making you upset. Instead, he just lets you hold him when you can tell something’s wrong. But for most other cases he slowly learns how to trust and open up to you, telling you what’s going on inside his mind.

T=Trust: How much do they trust you? • A lot. There's not a single other person in the universe Loki would ever let hold him the way you do. He doesn’t tell anyone else his feelings, either. He loves you and knows you’re there for him, though, so he trusts you won’t tell anyone else. It helps that you trust him so much too.

U=Upset: How do they comfort you when your upset? • By holding you. Even if you’re not at the point where you need to cry, Loki will encompass your body with his, tucking your head under his chin. He’ll whisper sweet nothings in your ear until you feel better, rubbing his hands up and down your back. When you finally look up at him, he’ll shower your face with kisses and ask if you need to talk. If you say no, he just keeps holding you for as long as you’ll let him. If you say yes, he listens intently, offering words of encouragement or advice when you finish. He always makes sure to tell you how proud of you he is for doing your best.

V=Vulnerable: When was the first time they were vulnerable with you? • The first time his nightmares woke you up. You’d both fallen asleep on the sofa watching a movie. Unfortunately, he was startled from his slumber by the dreams that so often plagued him. You rubbed his back while he caught his breath and calmed down. Once he was doing better, you offered to listen to what was wrong. Unable to keep it in any longer, he broke down in your arms. After sharing with you, he felt better than he had in a long time. He didn’t have another nightmare for two months.

W=When: When did they realize they were in love with you? • The first time he said the words. He hadn’t thought about it, so it wasn’t premeditated. You two were just swaying to some music, and you’d looked up to place a quick kiss to his lips. He just looked at you and said the three-word phrase. You replied immediately, seemingly not thinking about it either. Loki realized his heart had known it before his brain, but it was in that moment he realized how true the words were. He loved you.

X=Xaphoon: What kind of music reminds them of you? • Classical music with big, sweeping movements. So often they start off soft, feather-light. Then they crescendo into something bigger, something brighter, something dramatic. It reminds him of the way he feels for you, how it swelled into that big moment of pure and complete love and adoration. If the piece calmed back down again, that was the best, since he’s feelings had settled into his bones, becoming part of him.

Y=Yearning: Do they yearn for you when you’re apart? • Very much so. If he has to go on a mission for a while or accompany Thor to Asgard, he misses you terribly. He’ll look at photos or make an illusion of you, but it’s not the same as actually having you there. When he gets back home, the first thing he does is run into your arms, telling you how much he missed you. The sudden confession he never exactly plans always made him blush.

Z=Zoo: Would they want any pets? • Only if you did. Loki was kind of neutral toward the whole pet thing. Sure, if someone else had one he’d always go and pet it, but having one of his own wasn’t that big of a deal to him. If you did want one, though, Loki would immediately take you to find just the right companion. And once you brought it back home, he’d love to play with it or look at it or tell it how cute it is. Practically becoming its best friend, he can be easily persuaded to adopt one or two or a dozen more. And, of course, he’s so absolutely adorable with it, you’d risk your heart exploding from a cuteness overload and let him pick the one to adopt that time.

Pairing: NanamixGN!Reader

Note: I think I got this ask quite a while ago but due to my hiatus it got postponed a million times. Now that I am slowly coming back and am publishing the bits and pieces I wrote during being away this A-Z is finally leaving my drafts as well.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) Given his S/O is a sorcerer as well I think he would limit PDA at work to a minimum. Even if they are officially together or even married. He just likes to separate work and home. Tho it doesn’t mean that he is not making small intimate gestures at work like randomly dropping in with coffee or - when they are on a mission - sending a text asking how they are doing.

At home he is pretty affectionate. Randomly pulling them in for a hug, giving small back rubs when they are doing the dishes after he cooked. This kind of thing.

B = Before (What were they like when they had a crush?) Distant. Nanami would probably be a person who maybe actually mistakes the feeling for some other emotion at first. Leaving him confused about why he thinks about them so much. The poor man would likely be irritated every time they are nice to him. Why the heck doesn’t his heart stop pounding? And why is he suddenly excited to go to work? Disappointed when he is not assigned the same mission as them? Or - if they aren’t a sorcerer - sad when a mission takes him away from wherever he met them for too long?

C = Confession (What was their confession like?) Well-planned and straight forward. Nanami was already observing them for a while before making a move. Although he doesn’t actually confess it is pretty obvious when he likes someone because it happens so rarely. Just imagine him asking someone out for dinner. That gives away so much - don’t you agree?

D = Date (What was the first official date they went on?) If we don’t count the dinner mentioned above … I guess it would be something like a gallery. Nanami would definitely want to test his s/o’s taste in art because it tells a lot about a person’s character. What kind of art they prefer (paintings, photography, sculptures, … ) and how they look at it as well.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?) Professionally. He would state the fact on why they aren’t compatible anymore and what made him draw this conclusion. I don’t think either one of them would cheat on the other mainly because Nanami wouldn’t get into a relationship with someone capable of doing that in the first place (I hope). He would sit down with his (not) s/o and talk it through. There might be tears on the other side but not on his. He thought about it a lot and made peace with his feelings before starting this conversation.

F = Fights (What would fights look like? What are things that upset them?) Kento barely looses his temper. And if he does I wouldn’t say that it is necessarily a bad thing. Getting him so worked up about something does only mean he cares. Fights would mostly be on the calmer/diplomatic side. He might be upset about something but there is no need for him to yell or anything. If the problem can be resolved just by talking about it - great! Why waste his precious energy on negative things, when he can use them elsewhere?

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) We all know - and all those rough sm*t fan fictions can’t proof me wrong - that he probably is the most gentle character in entire JJK. He despises the violence of his job therefore he doesn’t want to inflict pain or anything on anyone on his good side. Especially his S/O. Nanami has the most gentle touch, fleeing kisses, he will hold them tight but never smother them.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) As mentioned above: Tight and secure. Or soft. His S/O almost automatically buries their face in the crook of his neck because - who wouldn’t. Is there anything else I have to say about hugs by Nanami Kento? Yes. Am I able to put it into words? No. It’s just a very overwhelming feeling - that’s all.

I = Intimacy (What is their favorite form of intimacy? Do they have problems with it?) For him I think it would be things where they take care of him. While he shows his love through cooking and providing (which he takes a lot of pride from), he loves being taken care of as well. Maybe in departments he doesn’t know so much about. Like skincare. If his S/O teases him about his wrinkles and stern look he would gladly accept any advice in skincare from them, let them do their magic with face massages and serums. He doesn’t even care if it has any effect on his skin - he just loves the attention he gets and thrives on the feeling how much his S/O cares about him (and his skin apparently).

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?) This one I am really indecisive about. I can see him get more jealous that we would expect him too - which would be a nice surprise tbh. But also not jealous at all because he is confident. Kento knows what his S/O likes about him and he also knows what separates him from other men. What makes him special. I think the times he gets jealous are the days he doesn’t get to spent with his S/O because of work or a mission. Which rather results in being mad at Jujutsu Tech than jealous of someone else.

K = Kisses (Are they a good kisser? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?) Forehead. Kisses. It doesn’t matter what height there S/O is. It is one of the most protective gestures and he enjoys giving those as much as his S/O enjoys receiving them.

The back of the hand cheesy kisses. Because they are his everything, he wants to treat them like it. Nanami knows it’s cheesy but neither one of them thinks too much about it. When they sit across the table, fingers sloppily interlocked on the table top, he occasionally picks up their hand and places a soft kiss on the back of it. Almost absent-minded.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?) He is not very fond of them. Not saying that he won’t love and do everything for his own kids but other people’s kids are usually a nuisance for him. If they are loud or misbehaving he is really not having it. Though he would never lash out or raise his voice against them/their parents. ‘Children’ as in ‘his students’ … he always makes sure to treat them as children in a way he wants them safe/won’t put them in unnecessary danger.

M = Messages (How often do they text his S/O?) Kento strikes me as a kind of guy who doesn’t text often. Mostly because in his line of work sharing attention could easily be his downfall or worse. He will let his s/o know if he’s running late or occasionally ask if there is anything they need from the store or things like that but aside from practical messages he doesn’t text much.

Though if he is on a long mission and away from his s/o for quite a time span he usually rather calls them than text.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?) Nights as in ‘Nights Out’? Date nights? Well, he is a foodie so dinner is always a popular option. He takes the time to carefully research about the restaurant and the menu. If the rotate dishes, he will make sure they’re going at the exactly right season to get the best culinary experience possible.

Nanami is old fashioned. So he will hold the door for them, pull back the chair … helps them into their coat.

He also likes going to the movies. The intimacy of the dark theatre gives him the confidence to reach out for their hand or have his arm around their shoulder. Since he usually limits PDA in public this is exciting for him.

O = Opinion (Would they ask for their S/O’s opinion a lot? How important is it in terms of decisions?) Probably more than I would expect him too. Maybe not about the smaller things but decisions that involve the both of them he would definitely ask.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?) Due to the time he spends exposed to Gojo this man has the patience of a saint. Literally. He rarely snaps at his S/O.

Q = Quizzes (How does a bar trivia night teamed up with them look like?) Stressed. Yes, this man in very educated and cultured but imagine him sitting in a loud-ass bar, having to answer questions about the transformers or Megan Thee Stallion. Absolutely absurd. How old he must feel …

R = Remember (How much do they remember about their S/O or their relationship in general?) Not everything but a lot. He will remember little things they mentioned early on in the relationship and bring it up again later. He also uses this ability for presents and such. As well as in fights. If they think they can outtalk him with something you accusedly said or didn’t say some time ago - I suggest they surrender, because he will remember much better.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?) Very Protective. I mean yes, he knows that they can stand up for themselves but why should they have to do that if he is around? One of the big perks dating him is that he is who he is and that his presence confuses most people. So he might as well use it. Not so much in a physical way but rather in addressing the people bothering his S/O directly in the typical manner of his.

I think his understanding of being protected equals being taken care of which plays into the skincare thing I mentioned earlier. It is not so much physical procreation from danger but preserving a future together where one cares about the other deeply and only wants their best.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?) Medium effort. He prepares and researches but he rarely comes up with a new idea. He knows what he likes and his S/O probably does too. His work is so stressful and has close to no repetition so that he enjoys doing the same things on dates over and over. That does not mean it will get boring. Because Nanami sometimes thrives on going the extra mile. There is a restaurant across the country that he really wants to dine at? Buckle up - he is going on a vacation. Short trips or spa weekends are also things he appreciates.

Since he remembers dates and anniversaries well he is usually well prepared for those occasions. He puts a lot of thought into presents and barely ever gifts useless things. He does not like to have a lot of stuff laying around so what he gives to people usually serves a purpose.

U = Unique (What makes them unique as a S/O?) Literally everything I mentioned above. Namai Kento is a unique mix of all his traits. A very balanced person.
