<333 cw; fem!bau!reader, very tiny blood description (& yes i know you're supposed to wash a paper cut right away but for the sake of the setting and aaron being cute i didn't include that step 😭), mentions of haley, mutual pining

"whatcha drawing?" you asked mid-writing, your pen flying across your paper but still finding the opportunity to peek over.

"spiderman and superman." jack replied happily, switching from a red to a blue crayon. "see, they're teaming up to fight the bad guy because he keeps doin' crimes."

about an hour or so ago, jessica had dropped off jack at the bau. long story short; she was called into work urgently and with aaron in a meeting, you were quick to volunteer yourself to keep him company. rather than cramming into the small space of your desk, and jack potentially hearing conversations or details not fit for a six year old, you've made home in the roundtable room. you could work, jack could color.

you had also fired off a quick text to aaron; letting him know jack was with you, a brief synopsis of the situation and where he could find you both once his meeting concluded. it had, and he was about to join, but found himself pausing outside the door, listening to your easy, lighthearted conversation for just a moment.

when it came to you and jack, there was just something about it. something extraordinarily special.

"i see," you nodded along to jack's words, an encouraging smile on your face. "that's really good. since when did you become an artist?"

"since always." jack grinned proudly.

"then you have to promise you'll make me a drawing soon. my desk is pretty boring, i need something to brighten it up." you held out your pinky, eyebrows raised. "promise?"

"i promise." jack linked his pinky with yours, and turned back to his masterpiece with renewed vigor.

a sense of warmth filled aaron's chest, the ends of his lips turning upwards into a faint smile at the natural bond you and jack had developed so quickly, over the course of a few weeks. deciding it was as good a time as ever to join, aaron reached out to fully open the door when a wince-gasp came from jack, stopping him.

"oh no," your head turned. "paper cut?"

jack nodded meekly, grimacing as his gaze shifted to you. his big, sweet eyes were tearful, "it stings."

"can i see?" he offered his hand limply, hanging downwards at the wrist. you cradled his small hand in yours; it was just a tiny cut - no more than a few centimeters, a faint line of red gradually seeping to the surface.

"hm, well," you huffed a breath, turning his hand face-up face-down - vaguely exaggerating the examination. you got up to retrieve the first-aid kit stationed in the room, aaron sidestepping a bit to keep out of potential view. "i think luck was on your side today, i don't think we'll have to amputate this time." you spoke with an airy tone, quick to bring light to the situation. it worked, jack stifling a laugh as you retook your seat. "nothing a bandaid can't fix."

there was the click of kit opening, a slight shuffle of what sounded like paper.

"and don't tell anyone i told you this," you applied a bit of ointment onto the bandaid before wrapping it onto his finger - not too tight or too loose, all to avoid cutting off circulation and to let the wound breathe. "we gotta keep extra band aids around because your dad always seems to get one himself."

"dad gets paper cuts? really?" jack's eyes widened in surprise.

just as his son, a breathless chuckle exited aaron; that wasn't necessarily true, but your intentions were clear: cheering jack up.

in addition, the last time he had heard someone talking to or interacting with jack like this - empathetically, attentively, motherly, was, well... haley.

it touched the usually unattended part of his heart that had been vastly empty since the divorce. since that one, horrible day. while the emptiness still lingered, you had made a pull at it. for a moment, you had healed it, even.

again, there was just something special about you. and again, the only way aaron could describe it was extraordinary.

"really." you nodded convincingly, tossing the little plastic scraps into the nearby trash bin, giving top of jack's hand a consoling pat. "it happens all the time."

aaron mentally rolled his eyes at that, a smile itching at his lips.

jack picked up his brown crayon, pain forgotten, eager to get back to his drawing. "i'm gonna draw daddy and put a bandaid on him. he's a superhero too, y'know?"

"yeah," your smile was rather bashful, your tone of voice so admirable it caused a blush to rise in aaron's cheek. "i know."

• due to being so close in age, it was quite easy for the two of you to get along

• the two of you are like this 🤞🏽 fr

• you two first met when spider decided to drag you out with him during one of his little adventures with lo’ak

• you were smaller than spider & neteyam thought that was so strange. you were roughly the size of a small na’vi toddler & could easily be hurt by the rough terrain of pandora. he immediately felt the urge to protect you.

• he never let you out of his sight that day, being very cautious where he stepped or where you went, not wanting to hurt you.

• he allowed you to ride on his back or shoulders so you could see higher than everyone else.

• the two of you ganged up on lo’ak & spider that day, causing the two boys to pout nearly all day. & you still do it all the time. you both raced the two boys that day & only won because neteyam picked you up last minute & rushed across the finish line.

• ever since then, you two were attached at the hip.

• has a bad habit of ruffling your hair as a sign of affection. it used to anger you to no end but eventually, you just got used to it & let him do it.

• loves taking you on ikran rides & seeing how you react.

• you two have matching bff bracelets that you made for each other that shit’s so cute bro

• neteyam is so paranoid that he’ll lose you whenever you’re hanging out due to the height difference so he makes you hold onto his last finger or makes you wear something in close relation to a backpack leash. you absolutely hate the backpack leash so you just hang onto his large hand or gently grab his tail as you two do whatever.

• you’re the first person he comes to whenever he’s frustrated with lo’ak & seeks your comfort after getting yelled at by his dad. at the end, you always tell him to stop taking the blame for lo’ak & have him face the consequences of his own actions.

• you both have matching beads in your hair as well fr

• you taught him the meaning of pinky promises when he saw you & spider do it. he always does it with you now, regardless of lacking a pinky.

• if you’re female bodied & have a period, poor boy would be so confused on what it meant & how it happens. always asking you questions about it too lol. but nonetheless, he’d try his best to help you in anyway he could to ease your pain. need a blanket? already has one in his arms. need some snacks? on it. craving some yovo fruit? climbing up a tree to get you some as we speak. need a shoulder to cry on? already dusting off his shoulder & sitting next to you so you can. neteyam’s so sweet 😭

• he taught you how to climb trees & highly regrets it. you nearly out climb him every single time he challenges you. he doesn’t know if he should be proud or angry that you, a human, is as good at climb as any other na’vi is. perhaps your name should’ve been spider instead of the socorro boy lol.

• drags you to dinner all the time. you’re always hesitant since you know of neytiri’s distaste for your kind so you try your best to keep your distance or make up an excuse to not go. but neteyam has none of it. he’ll drag you to family dinner if he has to.

• takes you fishing.

• the first time he did, you almost shot neteyam’s foot 😭. you got better over time obviously but he still flinches sometimes when a bow is put into your hands. boys lowkey traumatized fr.

• jake lowkey thinks of you as his own child 100%

• like, the man sees so much of himself in you that it’s kinda scary.

• you & teyam are definitely the trope opposites attract.

• he’s such a goody two shoes & is the golden child of his family, not a single hair out of place on his head. where as you, you’re more outspoken & adventurous than your friend.

• whenever jake yells at him in front of you, you make funny faces at him to try to get him to laugh, which results in the both of you being yelled at by him & trying so hard not to giggle in response.

• during your sleepovers, it mostly consists of hushed whispers as you sneak into the secret stash norm had hidden away, gushing about lab & clan gossip, & making each other even more friendship bracelets.

• overall, such a supportive & amazing friendship between the two of you <3

Warnings: very slight Angst, Comfort and Much FLUFF. Childhood Friends to Lovers trope, Reader has the characteristics of Guinevere from the myths(screw the Loli).

You come from the kingdom of Carmelide, a generations-long ally of the Pendragon. and by extension, from Camelot.

So it was not unusual for your family to go to said kingdom for political reasons or to try to help in the search for the new king/queen, who should be the one worthy to lift the legendary sword.

but you were a little girl, you didn't really understand those things very well at that age, so they let you wander around the kingdom (with an escort) while the adults did what they had to do.

So, on one of those outings, you ran into Arthur (who was trying not to leave behind the one you assumed was his brother).

When Arthur first saw you, he immediately recognized that you were royalty, so he bowed cheekily and apologized for almost bumping into you. and he asked you directly if you were a princess, because of how pretty you were.

He left you a little off guard, but luckily you were able to come back to your senses when your escorts almost attacked him for thinking he was too close, you told them to leave him alone, that he was a friend.

When your escorts took some distance, you and Arthur ended up spending a good part of the day together, learning more about each other and so on, you discovered that his father was a holy knight, that his brother (Kai) was an idiot (he didn't say it, but because of how he described him you didn't like him) and that he dreamed of becoming a knight himself.

It was nice to be able to be with someone your age without having to constantly worry about etiquette and manners.

So from then on, you and Arthur began to see each other almost every day, at whatever gathering your family had, you would go out and go see him, you would catch up and play normal kid things (Arthur especially liked to play to be "the knight who rescues the beautiful princess")

you two would also go on mini picnics! After playing for a while in the forests of the kingdom, you and Arthur would find some firm and more or less clean place (Arthur always insisted that you not dirty your "expensive" clothes) and eat apples :3

You felt good with Arthur because you could finally be a girl and not just a princess of Carmelide. and Arthur felt good about you because you were sweet and kind despite your seemingly privileged position.

They both complemented each other very well.

Although the more time you spent with Arthur and both of them grew up, the romantic tension increased considerably, but neither of them did anything about it, maybe they were just a little afraid of losing the friendship they had been having.

but then Arthur managed to raise the sword on the stone, being proclaimed the new King.

and it was...a shock, to say the least.

Everything was a set of good and bad news in a short time, which did not help the shock much.

On the one hand you felt that Arthur was getting what he really deserved, to be the leader of the kingdom he loved.

but now that the new King of Camelot was present, Carmelide's advisory services would not be necessary (unless there was a great threat of course), which meant that you would no longer be allowed to go to Camelot alone.

They even told you that it would not be appropriate for you to continue seeing Arthur unless they proposed an alliance through marriage.

which was the straw that broke the camel's back. You felt very bad for days.

but at least thanks to that your family decided and arranged for you and Arthur to have one LAST outing before you had to return permanently to Carmelide.

and if it was, you and Arthur kept it calmer than normal, wanting to enjoy each other's company knowing that it would be a while before you saw each other again.

I don't know they said anything romantic as such, but they did make several things clear, they were going to miss each other, Arthur was going to miss sneaking you out, you were going to miss playing with him and having adventures.

At the end of the outing, you asked him for one last favor.

You made him intertwine his pinky with yours and you promised him that you would see him again when he was King and that he would do the same.

It didn't take long for Arthur to do the same, he promised you that even if he were king, he would do everything possible to see you again.

and with that promise in mind, you returned to Carmelide.

Time passed, and you tried to handle the loneliness as best as possible, training yourself to be the best princess possible for the kingdom. your family was satisfied.

although they were definitely taken by surprise when Henrykson and the demons happened.

Your family was alarmed, the kingdom could be in crisis, they would have to train their sacred knights more harshly and, above all, re-establish relations with Camelot and its current King.

Arthur Pendragon.

were you a little nervous? Yes, but was it completely overshadowed by the excitement of seeing Arthur again? YEAH! You wondered how he scammed now after so much time.

and Arthur was no better.

He knew that the first ally he would have to report everything to would be Carmelide, and by extension you, so he was quite impatient to go in person or for you to go to Camelot.

And to kill time he thought about how you would be or how you would be now, how everything will be in your kingdom, how YOU will be.

And when the day of the reunion arrived, both were filled with feelings.

You were the one who had to go to Camelot, which in itself brought back many pleasant childhood memories that helped you be less nervous.

Not only was he the king you were going to see, he was also a friend (and maybe something else).

and when you arrived before Arthur and they were both in the same place... it was like everything stopped for a moment.

Arthur's mind was like: no thoughts, nothing, just you.

and you were absorbing everything new about this "new Arthur" before you, he looked taller, he was in his king's armor, but he definitely gave off a certain kind aura.

You felt like you could relax with him again.

and it was.

Fortunately, Arthur only became even friendlier over time, more mature, he was still someone sincere with a heart of gold. You were grateful that he still had room to see you as a special friend and not just an alliance partner.

and Arthur was not far behind, he saw that you had become more elegant, finer and straighter, but you still had a friendly character destined for people, someone charming.

The comings and goings to Camelot became a constant in your life again and it was honestly beautiful, you could see the changes that Arthur was making in Camelot and he was very happy to have you back.

He talked a lot about his training for the King, sometimes you even helped him as he was better versed in various things related to regulations and etiquette.

He may even talk to you about the Deadly Sins! I mean, few people don't know who they are, but hearing Arthur talk about them so excitedly is definitely something else.

(if you get to know them, they definitely make the typical lovebird jokes 🤣)

I can see Arthur being more open with his romantic feelings at this point.

Of course, in the time that you weren't together maybe one could say that it was just a childish crush, but now that you are together again, and that he can continue to love and appreciate this mature version of you, he can say that he is in love.

now the nickname "princess" or "lady" can be used both ironically and non-ironically xd simply for Arthur You are a princess :3)

And for your part, you cannot say that it is unilateral either.

Arthur loves you and appreciates you regardless of the title and the label, even now that he is THE KING and he SHOULD care, he doesn't, he only cares about you. You can't help but feel very appreciated by him.

even making your own advances (against what your family would consider "appropriate")

you two spent a good time making up for lost time, catching up with each other and so on, and that tension they used to have when they were younger seemed to resurface.

only this time it seemed like they were more prepared for the possibility of being SOMETHING ELSE.

Who knows, maybe a marriage alliance isn't such a bad idea after all.

At least, not if is with YOU/HIM.

“yeah,” chota knocks his shoulder into arisu’s as they walk over to sit down in a booth beside front of the window. cars drive by the convenience store in the light rain, occasionally causing a splash of water to hit the sidewalk. “you talk about them all the time. when do we get to meet ‘the best thing that’s ever happened to you?’”

“shut up,” arisu waves them off, leaning down to hide his growing blush. steam raises up from his cup of noodles as he rips the lid off and mixes the sauce packet into the noodles.

“come on!” karube complains. “we won’t do anything to embarrass you.” he holds his pinky out with a raised eyebrow. “i promise.”

arisu rolls his eyes, pushing karube’s hand away. “whatever.” chota laughs beside them before changing the conversation to the newest level of a random video game he must’ve missed the release for. despite his protests he pulls out his phone and clicks on your contact. it’s almost second nature as he texts you.

arisu smiles to himself as he sets his phone aside before turning his attention back to his noodles. they’ve cooled down significantly. unfortunately for him, chota notices his small smile and lack of participation in their conversation.

“talking to y/n again?” he teases.

arisu sighs, finally relenting. “i texted them. they’re on their way over here now.” his eyes stay glued to the doors as karube and chota joke amongst themselves.

arisu’s excitement builds along with his nerves as your car slowly pulls into the parking lot. you exit your car, rushing into the building in an attempt to avoid the rain. he lights up when you immediately notice him and quickly make your way over to where he is. “arisu!”

“hi angel,” he chuckles, standing up to pull you into a hug. arisu’s waist remains around your waist when he pulls away before gesturing to the two men sitting beside him. “karube, chota, this is y/n.”

chota is the first to react, nearly scrambling to his feet to bow to you. “chota segawa,” he introduces. he’s wearing a striped button down shirt and a pair of black dress pants. his work lanyard swings when he bows. his face flushes with a light blush as he awkwardly stutters out a few words. “it’s nice to meet you.”

“karube daikichi,” the blonde man goes next. he’s significantly calmer than chota as he lowers his head towards you. he smells faintly like a mixture of beer and cigarette smoke as he gives you a small half-smile. “arisu has said a lot about you.”

“l/n y/n,” you smile, reciprocating their bows. “arisu talks a lot about you guys too. it’s nice to meet the both of you.” arisu looks away in a poor attempt to hide his blush as you chuckle, reaching under the table to grab his hand into yours. you take the opportunity to sit down beside him across from karube and chota.

arisu watches as you quickly fall into conversation with karube. your laughter is a sweet sound that would normally calm his nerves, but it’s usually a result of his jokes. his slowly growing irritation goes unnoticed as you reach over the table to use your hand to emphasize the point you’re attempting to make, accidentally pulling away from where your hands were intertwined in the process.

chota also notices how well you’re getting along, teasingly raising an eyebrow and cocking his head to gesture towards you and karube. arisu attempts to ignore him; though his slight teasing only adds to his growing jealousy.

A random nice dinner? Win-win situation.

They often find eachother napping on a random couch snuggled up with the others familiar. Despite insisting that she “doesn’t like dogs”, Nadia is quite fond of Pax, he is the only animal besides Chandra that will put Melchior and Mercedes in their places and keep them there. She will watch as Fallon directly stares her in the eyes and invites Pax onto the furniture (she knows better than to argue against it). Fallon just enjoys how smart Chandra is, nicknaming her “feathery Nadi”, and makes Chandra pinky promise to not tell Nadia she calls her that.

Their wedding is PACKED. You have the entire Satrinava family there, the entire Ramirez family there, all of their friends, nobles, family friends. They end up needing two, one for their enormous families and one for Vesuvia to witness.

Both of them are very “Don’t you DARE talk to/touch my wife like that >:(“. Nadia is Fallons greatest defender, and Fallon is hers. Nadia tends to do so by verbal methods whilst Fallon will (and has) swordfight someone. Her fists are rated E for Everyone That Causes A Fuckin Problem For My Wife. Fallon is not afraid to fight someone for the safety of her family and she won’t hide that. Anger both of them at the same time because you insulted them? You better run because you will not survive a simultaneous verbal AND physical ass beating.

Horse riding happens a lot more often, fun activities in general happen a lot more often. Laughter fills the hallways, Vesuvia is on the mend, Nadia is finally marrying someone who loves her. Nadia deserves fun and luckily for her Fallon is an expert Fun-Haver. Racing down the hallways, dancing in the rain, adrenaline inducing adventures during trips to other places, running through the city from guards that don’t know they are chasing the Countess and Magician. Fun! Happiness! What they deserve. Nadia will get dragged away if she’s been working too hard and/or too long just to do something a little more enriching.

Fallon teaches her Magic 🥺 Nadia picks it up quick and would honestly make a pretty good full-time magician if she didn’t have to worry abt all her other duties. Fallon walks in on her one time while she is playing around with it and making little sound effect noises. She was swiftly sworn to silence and to completely forget she witnessed that. (Fallon tells Nasrin and Namar during their little tea talks because- well- “look at how cute your daughter is ☹️”

Thank you so much! I've been playing on the JPN server for years so I never picked up the NA version because I didn't have the time to devote to both of them, thank you so much for sharing the screenshots too! Billy's my boy since 2016 so I'm always happy when they give him some love, it seems like he was treated quite well in LB1. That pinky promise line is so sweet as well. I hope he eventually got his memories back too, this was the Chaldea version iirc but something got messed up right?

That’s what it read like. He had faint memories, so more like a normal throne and back experience, and I guess the saint graph memories Da Vinci copied weren’t working at the time? Or maybe if Alaya summons a Chaldea servant they just generally get the standard Faint Memories/Dejavu experience. He wasn’t one of the ‘I have no idea who you are’ so I’d say yes, Chaldea version, but without memories after being unsummoned from the context.

And mood! Billy was a fave of mine ever since the E Pluribus arc, and he got so much justice in LB1. I want to see him again 😭 — Musashi kept hitting on people from me to Mash to him, and he was like

when she tried with him. He only ever was cute with Ritsuka, and he’s so sweet and decent. My boy’s “Cause he looks like he needs killin’ >:[ ‘ loves rent free in my head. So does him being like “the hell it’s a hard question?!? We deserve a shot at life too!” at the end of that lostbelt. Man offered to kill 4 people for hurting Ritsuka and did kill 2 of them point blank single handed. Pistol whipped a Crypter out cold. Just king shit 24/7.
