Hello! I was just wondering what your favorite svt fics were? Looking for a good read! Love your writing btw!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE QUESTION - THANK YOU!!! LOL

In no particular order! (As a disclaimer, I do mostly just read for certain members so these recs will not be comprehensive! I will also try not to repeat the ones I have mentioned before.)

Vernon:

Oh Where Did the Party Go? by @dropsofletters -- Hands down one of the best Vernon angst fics on this platform! It's long, but the suspense, mutual pining, and fine line between fact and fiction keeps you engaged the whole time! I will warn you, it's heavy because of the way it approaches social hierarchy, but I think the author does it very eloquently! I still remember staying up super late reading this lol. I will admit I almost cried :')

Pretty Lies by @lonelywhalien22 -- Inspired by (pop/punk) rock music, especially Black Eye, OP does an amazing job capturing the edginess of this genre in this fic!! I've re-read it several times lol. Haven't quite seen Vernon's character be captured in a more stoic/colder persona, but it was done tastefully :) and the character development is just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

work husband by @wondernus -- THERE'S A REASON THIS HAS 3k+ NOTES!!! Okay, I am not usually a fluff reader, so this took me by surprise, but this has to be my absolute favorite Vernon fic ever 😫 It's about two teachers who act like a couple, but won't own up to it. The relationship development is slow and frustrating af, but has me kicking and squealing like a teenager getting her first signed 1D poster in 2014 😭🤧😂 The side characters are also amazing!!! Nu has a way with words that is so poetic too - like, this is who I wanna be when I grow up!!! I could go on forever about this, but if there is one you HAVE to read for Vernon, it's definitely this one.

Soonyoung

The Times We Couldn't Say Goodbye by @husbandhoshi -- I really loved this one because in a sense, it captures all stages of what it means to fall in and out of(?) love (/how sometimes as much as you love someone life is a bitch and just doesn't work out at all)? There's the twist of this being a fantasy story, with Soonyoung being a wizard. It's amazing how the author captures their relationship just ~2k words, but she does and leaves you feeling like a gutted fish flopping on a dock in the best way possible :)

Misc.

In Pursuit of Wedding Bliss by @fantasyescapes17 -- This whole series is incredibly well-written! It's a regency!au centered around social season, where some of the members come to London to meet and find spouses. Each member has their own arc/series, but the way they're interwoven into each others' stories is so clever!!! That said, would recommend reading all of it, bc if you miss one members' story, it might be hard to understand the others. My personal favorite was Jeonghan's - I have read many good Jeonghan fanfics before, but this was just a whole 'nother level of in love LOL. It really captures his flirtatious/devious ways, but also his genuine and caring nature! The main oc is also really refreshing bc she's confident and knows what she wants without being **too** out there, which is nice for this era where most girls are portrayed as one or the other. That said, Mingyu's and Hoshi's were also really good! Just read the whole thing! LOL.

I'll stop here before I bore y'all with my commentary 😅🥲 In general, I share my faves on #twogyuu:recs if you're interested in seeing more! I read for SVT, NCT, and occasionally, TBZ. There might be some BTS fics on there from my early silent reader days, but not so much anymore.

A Thousand Words Left Unsaid (Minghao)

I've mentioned this one before hahahaha! It is perhaps my least popular fic. However, to this day, I think this one is still one of my absolute favorite to write. I attempted to be poetic with it, portraying Minghao's life like an empty canvas waiting to be filled with the colors of OC (maybe I failed epically 💀?) and had a lot of fun experimenting with this different style of writing. As a lover and writer of angst, it was also almost everything I dreamed of lol and I'm proud I manifested it >.<

Love Me Out Loud (Mingyu)

On the other end of the spectrum, this is my most popular fic to date. To be frank, I'm still not sure what about it that drew such a large audience because I almost didn't publish it if it weren't for the support of a moot, but I am grateful nonetheless. I think my writing peaked with this fic and I never wrote anything about Mingyu after 💀😅 This fic was a turning point for me in what I decided to write though. Admittedly, I poured a lot of personal feelings and projected a lot of insecurities onto Mingyu and OC 😅 The positive feedback from this fic made me more comfortable in being more vulnerable in my fics and exploring more relevant themes (and not always nice?) of being a young adult.

Of Fate and Flames || Nameless || When the Sun Kisses the Moon (Wonwoo)

This drabble series(?) was never intended to get this out of hand, but with the hype from the lovely wonwoorideul @wisteria-woo (I am forever grateful lol) and inspo from the FML comeback (Super specifically), I couldn't help I had to elaborate on my ideas of firebender!wonwoo 🤣😂 The story as of right now is really fragmented and probably makes no sense. If I'm being honest though, I'm not sure if I'm ever going to write a cohesive series out of this (I do have everything plotted out . . .). Writing this thus far has really delighted my inner child and reignited the fun in writing again for me :)

We Were Destined to Fall (But I'll Catch You) (Jeonghan)

This series was born out of Jeonghan's scenes in the HOT MV! I don't have much to say about this honestly, other than it is really bizarre compared to my other fics 😅 I like to think that most of my stories are realistic fiction, but this falls more into the realm of fantasy/historical/sci-fi. It's a slow WIP, but always really nice coming back to this OTP and the idea that just maybe people are destined for each other in every life 💙

Feu D'Artifice (Vernon)

A snippet of a larger streetracer!au story (yes there's more 💀) highlighting a blooming relationship between racer!Vernon and mechanic!OC amidst blatant social inequities within the racing industry. I got inspiration for this fic from Baekho's song Festival In My Car and I think I was a pretty fresh dolly when I wrote it (at least no longer in denial LOL)? This snippet highlights the thrills of falling for someone for the first time. It's fluffy/crack laced with a little angst at the end! I don't usually ever read back on my own fics, but I do for this one! It makes me giddy and I really do love the comparison between fireworks and falling in love 😅

Don't worry! I gotchu! Idk what genre you're into so I will include multiple! Unfortunately, not many ppl write for him (at least really long fics/series which is what I like to read!) from my experience 😭 I do apologize in advance if you've read most of them already OP!

Angst:

Oh, Where Did the Party Go? by @dropsofletters - by far my favorite Vernon piece to ever exist! 😭💔 The plot, the development, the side characters - UGH SO GOOD 👌🏻 Left me in some serious pain and contemplation of life for three days after I read it lol. Please be prepared for some emotional compromise :')

Pinky Promise by @xddaengx - on the shorter side, hurt/comfort, not really romantic since Vernon is like OC's "guardian angel" in a sense. Again . . . a bittersweet ending . . . uhhh lol. You were warned :')

Edit!! Adding By Hook and Cross by @kabira - I haven't finished it yet, but I've heard good things about it!

Fluff:

On Love, Friendship, and Jane Austen by @suhnshinehaos - F2L, they pine a lot lol, but overall very sweet! It was a very satisfying fic hahaha

Every Page is Empty by @neonun-au - I really love mads writing in general!!! It's very heart fluttering and sometimes feels ethereal(?) when you dive into OC's thoughts/emotions if that makes any sense lol. This one is also on the shorter side but definitely worth it!

Sure by @yoongimingyu - Another F2L, series there's a little smut at the end, but their mutual pining is cute. Idk what to call it since it's not exactly fluff, but it's not exactly angst either? It didn't hurt as much as the one's listed under angst, but definitely heart fluttering and you just really, really want them to get together 😭

I'm still in the process of working through their masterlists lol, but I also do really enjoy work from @gamerwoo, @viastro, @hansolmates, @vernblr, @wooahaes, and @wonwoonlight!
