I’m just gonna full on rant how unfair it is that they killed Eddie just like that but Max got off the hook multiple times just BECAUSE she’s a main character. El even fucking healed her like what the fuck is up with that??? It would’ve been easier to accept Eddie’s fate if someone else died while fighting Vecna. It seems so unfair how everyone just got out so easily but left Eddie to die.

ALSO it’s so fucking annoying that Eddie died saving the town who painted him as some evil fucking killer. He fucking sacrificed for the ppl who thought he’s into Satan shit. Honestly, Hawkins don’t deserve my guy Eddie.

AND!! no one else seemed sad about it honestly, it’s just Dustin and Mr. Munson who’s fucking suffering but no one else batted (pun yes) an eye?? LIKE DOES NO ONE CARE HELL-FUCKING-O ???

AGAIN it would’ve been easier to go on with it if they didn’t skip scenes. I would’ve been much more okay than this if this showed us that more than two people cared about Eddie. My guy has the whole town against him, at least give us a fucking scene where it’s focused on people WHO DON’T FUCKING HATE HIM. It’s just so annoying that it seems like it didn’t even happen, like Eddie didn’t even die yk? Everyone’s so fucking calm it hurts me to my core.

ALSO I’ve never been this upset over a fictional character’s death but Eddie Munson literally became a form of Escapism for me. Didn’t know that in a span of WEEKS (not even a month), I would have him as my main comfort character and now he’s fucking dead. It sounds so pathetic being THIS hurt but gooood I love Joseph’s character so much.

The smell of Eddie Munson is often described as a mix of "cheap colognes, smoke/ cigarettes and weed". In this essay I will show why this is in fact either wrong or an understatement of the truth.

Here is the situation, everyone describes the smell of Eddie as a mix of "cheap colognes, cigarettes/smoke and weed". And even tho I believe that he strongly smells like smoke/ cigarettes and weed I do not believe that he smells like cheap colognes (or maybe he does, I'll explain it in a hot second). But I STRONGYL believe that he mainly smells like sweat and u all can't change my mind.

I mean look at our boy. He is a teenager/ young adult metalhead who's only father-like figure is his uncle who seems to work all the time. Because of his drug consum Eddie probably pisses himself all the time while sleeping (the stains on this mattress, change my mind). He is a nerd who gets like no bitches unless they want some free drugs... u all cant really believe that this boy knows what a shower is even less how it works.

And yes I know "his hair looks so soft"... I once knew a boy with curly hair and it always looked soft, too.. but the moment u touched it 🤮🤮🤮 I swear to god it was everything but soft. And I swear this is how i see Eddie. Our little unshowed metalhead rat ❤🧎‍♀️

(Btw that doesn't mean that i don't like curly hair in general I enjoy it but that boys hair was sus hahaha)

And this is like absolutely no hate towards him. I mean I love this little fucker so much, u all aren't knowing shit. And I wanna protect him as much as I can. But this guy is sooo perfect there needs to be a strong con. And yes, I love him but damn does he need a shower.

And this is like an extra headcanon for our boy. Like I said, I believe that Eddie showers like idk never (maybe once a month). But here is where the cheap colognes comes in. So to cover up his sweaty smell, Eddie uses SOOOOOO FUCKING MUCH colognes, u will die when u stand too close to him for too long. Like one bottle a week is minimum (one of the reasons why it needs to be cheap ones).

To sum things up, I strongly believe that Eddie Munson only has two states of smelling. Either sweaty like big foots ass or way too much colognes for his own good. There is nothing in between. But this is obviously just my opinion. Anyways kissies for reading this

Volume 2 Spoilers!!!

There is a big hole in my heart for a character I just discovered a month ago. Everything hurts and I don't like it. Eddie was like my best comfort character, and I love him so much. His sacrifice burns me he became the hero he didn't think he was able to be. I feel so ill my stomach dropped hard when he died in Dustin's arms. I am going to continue writing about him and write him a true sappy happy ending and not a sad one. I will forever read about him, and my heart will ache but at least I can imagine him alive. He is thankfully fictional after all, and I can head cannon him a good life.

Currently thinking about how everyone explained why Max is literally in a comma with a full body cast, to her mother. Because I really don't think "yeah she almost died from this spooky psychopathic foreskin guy with superpowers and a big obsession with clocks because jerk off Jason broke the Kate Bush tape 😃" would work.

Can we all pls agree not to spoil stranger things volume two like we did with endgame or am I gonna have to delete all my social media

so mixtapes are a popular trope for steve and eddie because mixtapes are cute, period accurate, and music is such an important part of eddies character.

what if eddie made steve a mixtape. not a proper one all on a single cassette or whatever, more like a pile of singles. in the midst of all the vecna chaos, eddie used his limited down time to build steve a collection of songs.

it's labeled something silly "crash course to metal for jocks" or "project fix harrington's music taste" or "eddie's attempts at musical rehabilitation". it's in his nice handwriting, the kind he uses for writing lyrics, not school notes. it surprises steve, how nice his handwriting is.

steve doesn't find it till after eddie is gone. gone and dead and gone (but not his fault it's not). and steve finds it and he listens to the whole thing through. it's a mess. it's records and cd's and cassettes all thrown into a pile. but he listens. and he fixes it, gets it all on one tape, labelling it with a careful trace of eddie's original note.

none of it is music steve would have dared touch in highschool. none of it's even stuff he would have considered for himself even now. but it's good. steve hates it. he hates it because in another life eddie would be ribbing him for knocking it before he tried it. smiling his stupid smile but secretly thrilled that steve was asking for more. in another life, eddie would have loved steve's careful notebook of things he noticed about each song. would have been so fucking smug about getting steve, king of highschool steve, to listen to metal.

but most of all, steve hates that there's nothing of eddie's in the mix. hates that there's never going to be something of eddie's in the mix because eddie is never going to play again, he never got the chance to be the star steve knows he should have been.

and steve sobs to metallica because he never had the chance to hear eddie munson play, and now he never will.

The more I think about Eddie’s death, the more frustrated I get - I just don’t understand why they pushed the framework so hard that he was a coward who ran away from everything when every situation he ran away from in season 4 was completely warranted??? When Chrissy died, he felt guilty that he bolted & left her there, but literally what else was he supposed to do??? He couldn’t wrap his head around what just happened & had no idea how to explain it & had no knowledge or resources to fix it. A level one DnD character (which in this case would be Eddie since he had no prior experience to any of the supernatural stuff going on in the Upside Down) would never be expected to try & fight a high level character like Vecna - it’s not a matter of cowardice, it would just be no match! & then after that the jocks were hunting him down so yeah, when they found him he ran because what else was he supposed to do??? There was a whole team of them & only one of Eddie - that’s not a fair fight & Eddie doesn’t come across as a violent person anyway. He didn’t want to jump through watergate, but he still went & then went back in AGAIN to distract the demobats - that on its own was heroic!!! Him running straight into the swarm of bats instead of going back through the gate with Dustin was framed to be the redemption for Eddie being a coward all season, but he literally never did anything wrong to need redeeming so it just felt like a weak reason to try & justify them killing him off for a shock death & then his sacrifice didn’t even end up helping anything directly 😩 & then no one except Dustin & his uncle even acknowledged him being gone??? He was a character who had so much potential & so if they were set on killing him off, they should have at least made it matter, but instead it just felt like a throwaway because they felt like someone had to die to keep the stakes high which is such a waste :-(
