Sakusa (I absolutely loathe people) kiyoomi starts calling atsumu "love" once he's comfortable and miya (flirting was invented by me) atsumu turns into tomato every single time 😭😭

PS: Shy tsumu actually screamed for 2 hours on a call with samu when it happened for the first time and blunt Omi who just shrugged at Motoya because yes love is atsumu and atsumu is his love (I love them)

Smmary: Sakusa loves Miya's hands. They look coarse from playing volleyball for long hours, they curve perfectly and set a ball as if he's reading the player's thoughts. As if he could. If it was true, then he'd know how Sakusa can't drag his eyes away from long fingers, rough calluses...How Sakusa wants to run the pads of his fingers over the shape, memorise it as if he'd never have the chance to do it again.

day 1 // [hands/touch]

atsumu didn’t really have an eye for detail. except for the ball that was on the court. his eyes would always follow the ball.

the minute the ball gets served by a player: atsumu will follow it. the ball gets received: he will follow it. he sets the ball, he will follow it. boom. score. he will still follow the ball even after it landed.

nothing else would easily get his attention as much as a volleyball did the second it hit the court.

nothing. else.

it’s always been like this, and osamu has made fun of him many times because of that. atsumu has tried to ignore his dumb brother, but today he couldn’t help but realize everything that what osamu had mocked him for was true.

across from him stands kiyoomi, and atsumu never really thought of it before. but the way kiyoomi slams his hand against the bal hits atsumu differently today. he can’t put his finger on it. but there’s something.

kiyoomi is ever so effortlessly making his way across the court, hitting every ball atsumu sets to him.

and atsumu is mesmerized.

where he used to follow the ball, until it hit the floor on the opponent’s side, something changed. today it is different. different in a way that atsumu’s eyes weren’t solely focused on the ball. different in a way that atsumu’s thoughts weren’t just about getting that ball across and scoring. different in a way that atsumu’s eyes were… locked on kiyoomi’s hand.

and it doesn’t stay with this.

next practice, too. kiyoomi’s hand is the only thing atsumu can focus on. not just next practice. the practice after that and the one after that. and the one after that, too.

it gets to the point in which even during one of the practice matches atsumu loses control of the ball because he wasn’t even looking at the ball… but at kiyoomi’s hands the entire time.

he curses and makes sure no one just saw where his distraction came from.

because atsumu doesn’t want to admit it.

he has become obsessed with kiyoomi’s hands.

he makes sure kiyoomi will never notice, though. never.
