Me: (writing a silly little smut story for fun) hehe I won't get too invested in the setting or worldbuilding, I'll just throw in some background hints and not worry about it
Me a week later: (googling antarctic research station floorplans, coming up with lists of different departments and jobs, trying to figure out limitations on habitability of a barren planet with an earth-like atmosphere, browsing geological research supply websites,)

Astrology Observation(Vedic Astrology) 🔞
Tumblr media
1)Venus Girls are one of the biggest bitches ever. They will act nice to your face but have a lot of shit to say behind your back, they are such pussies. I have encountered many Venus girls who hang around their so called “friends” and talk a lot of smack about them later. I remembered Claire Nakti said in her Dhanishta Video that Venus girls use men for money and I think that applies to all people.
2)Our Venus nakshatra can tell us what type of planetary dominant men/women we are attracted to like (for example, I have Venus in Ashwini then that means I am drawn to Ketu dominant men )
3)Mars Boys like to play the victim card and have serious mommy issues. Besides that they have serious issues with woman because they have been cheated on by their girlfriend and they carry that pain with them and abuse others
4)Mars Woman are not afraid to offend masculine energies(esp men)
5)Sun Woman have 2 sides either they are introverted, quiet and have a few friends(reminds me of twilight sparkle) or they are completely bonkers, and loud and energetic
6)I have noticed Mercury woman can be quite manipulative and like twisting narratives and creating false narratives. They are very cunning and very intelligent
7)Sun/Saturn Woman are real boss ladies
8)Uttara Asadha natives are non committable and feel uncomfortable with relationships. They also have a sense that there is no one for them in the world so they prefer not wanting to be in a relationship
9)Moon Woman either very conservative or liberal
10)Moon Girls are so annoying and they like to indulge in what other people are doing. They also have serious emotional problems and can suffer from bpd(and etc)
11)Chitra Woman got the vibes of a mean girl but are genuine so nice
12)Rahu Woman are literally the real life manifestation of Ariel From The Little Mermaid. Rahu is linked with obsessive behaviour and these woman have serious obsession when they like someone even if they are technically bad for them, they don’t see them red flags
13)Pushya Woman have such a glow to their faces
14)Jupiter Men are toxic and remind me of those toxic brown boys memes, they are also pretty dumb
15)Sun Men can easily influence other men
16)Out of all the 3 Ketu Ruled Nakshatra, Ashwini is the most angelic and have a very angelic appearance too
17)Jyestha Girls are either very sweet and u feel a need to protect them or they are complete assholes and toxic
18)Most Social Workers are Ketu Natives, I always wonder why Ketu natives are so present in the field of social workers.
19)Mars Men are p*ssies
20)Ketu Men have such big gawk gawk 🍆
Note: not everyone is the same so keep in mind other placements in our chart can change us so apply if it matches ur experience

5 Years, 8 Discoveries: NASA Exoplanet Explorer Sees Dancing Stars & a Star-Shredding Black Hole
Tumblr media
This all-sky mosaic was constructed from 912 Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) images. Prominent features include the Milky Way, a glowing arc that represents the bright central plane of our galaxy, and the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds – satellite galaxies of our own located, respectively, 160,000 and 200,000 light-years away. In the northern sky, look for the small, oblong shape of the Andromeda galaxy (M 31), the closest big spiral galaxy, located 2.5 million light-years away. The black regions are areas of sky that TESS didn’t image. Credit: NASA/MIT/TESS and Ethan Kruse (University of Maryland College Park)
On April 18, 2018, we launched the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, better known as TESS. It was designed to search for planets beyond our solar system – exoplanets – and to discover worlds for our James Webb Space Telescope, which launched three years later, to further explore. TESS images sections of sky, one hemisphere at a time. When we put all the images together, we get a great look at Earth’s sky!
In its five years in space, TESS has discovered 326 planets and more than 4,300 planet candidates. Along the way, the spacecraft has observed a plethora of other objects in space, including watching as a black hole devoured a star and seeing six stars dancing in space. Here are some notable results from TESS so far:
Tumblr media
During its first five years in space, our Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite has discovered exoplanets and identified worlds that can be further explored by the James Webb Space Telescope. Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech
1. TESS’ first discovery was a world called Pi Mensae c. It orbits the star Pi Mensae, about 60 light-years away from Earth and visible to the unaided eye in the Southern Hemisphere. This discovery kicked off NASA's new era of planet hunting.
2. Studying planets often helps us learn about stars too! Data from TESS & Spitzer helped scientists detect a planet around the young, flaring star AU Mic, providing a unique way to study how planets form, evolve, and interact with active stars.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Located less than 32 light-years from Earth, AU Microscopii is among the youngest planetary systems ever observed by astronomers, and its star throws vicious temper tantrums. This devilish young system holds planet AU Mic b captive inside a looming disk of ghostly dust and ceaselessly torments it with deadly blasts of X-rays and other radiation, thwarting any chance of life… as we know it! Beware! There is no escaping the stellar fury of this system. The monstrous flares of AU Mic will have you begging for eternal darkness. Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech
3. In addition to finding exoplanets on its own, TESS serves as a pathfinder for the James Webb Space Telescope. TESS discovered the rocky world LHS 3844 b, but Webb will tell us more about its composition. Our telescopes, much like our scientists, work together.
4. Though TESS may be a planet-hunter, it also helps us study black holes! In 2019, TESS saw a ‘‘tidal disruption event,’’ otherwise known as a black hole shredding a star.
Tumblr media
When a star strays too close to a black hole, intense tides break it apart into a stream of gas. The tail of the stream escapes the system, while the rest of it swings back around, surrounding the black hole with a disk of debris. Credit: NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center
5. In 2020, TESS discovered its first Earth-size world in the habitable zone of its star – the distance from a star at which liquid water could exist on a planet’s surface. Earlier this year, a second rocky planet was discovered in the system.
Tumblr media
You can see the exoplanets that orbit the star TOI 700 moving within two marked habitable zones, a conservative habitable zone, and an optimistic habitable zone. Planet d orbits within the conservative habitable zone, while planet e moves within an optimistic habitable zone, the range of distances from a star where liquid surface water could be present at some point in a planet’s history. Credit: NASA Goddard Space Flight Center
6. Astronomers used TESS to find a six-star system where all stars undergo eclipses. Three binary pairs orbit each other, and, in turn, the pairs are engaged in an elaborate gravitational dance in a cosmic ballroom 1,900 light-years away in the constellation Eridanus.
Tumblr media
7. Thanks to TESS, we learned that Delta Scuti stars pulse to the beat of their own drummer. Most seem to oscillate randomly, but we now know HD 31901 taps out a beat that merges 55 pulsation patterns.
Tumblr media
Sound waves bouncing around inside a star cause it to expand and contract, which results in detectable brightness changes. This animation depicts one type of Delta Scuti pulsation — called a radial mode — that is driven by waves (blue arrows) traveling between the star's core and surface. In reality, a star may pulsate in many different modes, creating complicated patterns that enable scientists to learn about its interior. Credit: NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center
8. Last is a galaxy that flares like clockwork! With TESS and Swift, astronomers identified the most predictably and frequently flaring active galaxy yet. ASASSN-14ko, which is 570 million light-years away, brightens every 114 days!
Make sure to follow us on Tumblr for your regular dose of space!

To Tame The Untamable: Lilith & Obsession:
*just based on my experiences, only take what resonates
Tumblr media
**This is more so the like analysis portion, for synastry & placements that trigger obsession see part 2
Black Moon Lilith is fascinating. Even in her presence in your birth chart, she’s less of a planetary body and more of a philosophical (I.e. mathematical) point. She’s elusive and hard to pin down, and yet her influence is permeating. Similar to how Scorpio placements bleed through a birth chart like ink bleeds through paper. Lilith has a distinctive presence (Lilith’s energy is especially felt with hard aspects- square/opposition/conjunct to the angular houses -1st,4th,7th,10th).
Lilith is so weighted yet so elusive, and that is definitely a cornerstone of why she triggers such obsession in others. Even in her original mythology, her husband, Adam, couldn’t control her - and she was made for him ! There’s something inherently rebellious and hard to categorize about the impact of her energy. She’s dark, sultry, and heavy. She’s the eternal antithesis of the traditional feminine. Because she’s always sitting in this outsider energy, there’s an inherent challenge to power that is attached to her presence.
There’s something shocking about what she brings to the native’s energy. She swings in extremes so that people with heavy Lilith placements are often derided for being so outside of the norm. Too s*xy, too opinionated, too smart “for their own good”, for having too much of a strong impact in general. The reality of the situation is that Lilith is here to show you how to live outside of a traditional lens and embrace this energy you already have. She’s here to help you step into your power (while keeping your approach balanced and not over indulging in it, of course).
…So… what’s the deal with the men?
Tumblr media
I had to restart this paragraph like 3 times lol. From the top, we live in a society ! Lol
Social roles have certain social rules depending on cultural structures. I often wonder what all of this, all of these dynamics would look like if the gender fluid or the matriarchal societies didn’t get so eroded by colonialism but obviously that’s an essay for another day lol. The dominant culture is a not so distant run off of conservative religious power structures. So as a result, our sort of default social standards are set to be white, patriarchal, heteronormative, and many other strict social categories in line with those ideals. The more you culturally align with these ideals by default the more power you tend to have. And, through a sort of simplified lens, to be socialized within, or at least in closer proximity to those ideals can create a curiousity about those on the outside. Those who cannot and do not align with those defaults have this something else. Something else about how they exist in the world, sometimes on the outskirts, does compel people that are committed/used to living within these strict categories.
There’s something about people with that outsider energy, that exude this inherent wildness that sort of captivates the attention of those that don’t have it. Like an it factor with a bit more darkness attached to it. I think there’s a power in like finding your identity outside of these circles. And when any sort of feelings come into play it can make things more volatile. I think the grip that Lilith tends to pull on guys lies in the power dynamics at play in many relationships in -patriarchal- society. If she’s uncontrollable does that mean you have any power at all? It can be dizzying to be vulnerable in a relationship and lose any of the power/control you’ve had your whole life (I assume lol, I’ve never been a man and they know how I feel about them lol).
I think that’s why relationships tinged by Lilith energy/synastry can quickly become a lot. A lot of passion, a lot of drama, a lot of vying for power. When you’re a femme, much of your social power lies in your attractiveness (even when it comes to stuff that should be neutral like getting a job, or getting a fair chance if you get in trouble, etc). And I think it’s so interesting that Lilith has such a strong effect on the girls. She makes you attractive and gives you power but makes you damn polarizing and makes the power you have into this double edged sword.
On the flip side (Mm yes very 90s of me), this is just shadow side energy. Which is to say Lilith doesn’t make anyone do anything. Her energy just exposes the other side of people (all people, but that’s another essay for another day). If a man, any person really, was going to have positive intentions towards you Lilith energy wouldn’t warp this. She just shows you the darkness some people try to hide. If you’re dating someone and they try to cross your boundaries and get controlling after the second date- this was always going to happen, they just were compelled to try to box you in earlier than they may have intended with someone else.
But yeah in summary, Lilith triggers obsession in others because entitlement. Whoever is acting this way had those controlling and obsessive tendencies all along- it was just brought to light. And when someone shows you who they are, take it from me, it’s best to listen.
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: 1. This is a generalization of how things can go, not how they always have to go, so yknow grain of salt 2.With great power comes great responsibility, stay safe out there y’all :0 3. Ok so we live in a society lol, and so we have a lot of social conventions we tend to be used to by default. Romanticize even. And I definitely think obsession is one of those conventions. Desire can be enticing. To want to be wanted. But if it’s taking over your life? I don’t think that should be aspirational. I think everyone wants someone to be obsessed with them until they actually are then it’s this wild uncontrollable thing -and frankly that’s terrifying. (We’ve seen the show You right? It tends to go bad lol.) Live your life ofc, just be careful not to romanticize ab*sive/controlling tendencies in others because it’s unhealthy at best and dangerous at worst. Just my two cents.
(Also omg this whole thing took me so much longer to write than I intended lol, thank you so much for the support everyone <3!)

"Elon Musk's conservative political inclinations were partially triggered when his 16-year-old daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, came out as transgender. The billionaire blames the Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences for altering his daughter's attitude toward him. Musk said that his daughter "went beyond socialism to becoming a full communist and believing that anyone wealthy is evil."
Musk reveals that he made up his mind to purchase the entire platform for $44 billion to save it from "woke virus". He said he saw the same mentality had enveloped Twitter. "Unless the woke mind virus, which is fundamentally anti-science, anti-merit, and anti-human in general, is stopped, civilization will never become multi-planetary."
You will see a common theme among conservative parents of trans kids. They will lash out and blame everything and everyone but themselves for ending up estranged from their children.
It's never their fault. It's the woke schools. It's the woke mind virus. It's a social contagion. "If it weren't for these commie teachers my son would still love me and we'd be on Mars!"
But it's not your son, Elon. It's your daughter. And all you had to do was support and accept her and maybe you wouldn't have lost $44 billion on a hellscape social media platform.

Spectember D1: Adaptive Radiation
Tumblr media
Mars was among the most important core colonies of humanity for a long time of its primordial interstellar age, terraformed and maintained by a rudimentary “planetary life support” system to keep its earth like environment but unfortunately that did not stop the erosive nature of solar wind making the ecosystem to decay, and as the solar system started to fade out of the human galactic influence of power this only got worse becoming into a forgotten relic of better times that accomplished its goal, that had to eventually die.
It was not until the arrival of the proper methods to keep planets almost permanently habitable thanks to the “Planetary meta engineering” thousands of years later that mars finally was given a stable habitable form with technologies that allowed the start of its own geological activity preserving a proper magnetic field and so its atmosphere.
From there little of the original first wave of life preserved apart of a handful of survivors of the early ecosystem: gastropods, crustaceans, grass, worms, lots of lichen and algae species and one single species of tetrapod still alive: Bibrons’s geckos (Pachydactylus bibronii), resilient little reptiles which were thrown alongside others vertebrates on the terraforming days to fill up the new habitable planet, but upon the severe degradation of the Martian ecosystem they became the last ones standing.
For matters of conservative view mars was not reinstalled with more fauna apart of the one that survived, more as a symbol of the resilience of the life that could endure the hostile times, millions of years passed and the humans that once lived there have long vanished and left the world being inherited by the small squamates.
15 million years at least, and the Martian fauna looks like a reincarnation of the early Triassic, specially in what was once the Argyre basin now holds the main biodiversity of Martian geckos, all descendant of that single species, with nothing to compete but small beetles and large snails they just turned the chances on diversify in different sizes and feeding habits eventually specializing in considerable new forms, the beginning of different diverse dynasties of a probably long-lasting habitable Mars.

Rubicon is Dying - What About Earth?
The planet Rubicon-3 is a world ravaged by corporate greed. The planet is absolutely covered in Grids, structures that bear an eerie resemblance to oil rigs many thousands of feet tall. The world has clearly been strip-mined to no end, as I imagine the corps and even the PCA wouldn't spend the extra cash to bring resources in from off-world in order to rebuild after the Fires of Ibis, so to build the planetary closure system and rebuild the Grids must have required an ungodly amount of resource extraction.
Tumblr media
This makes me wonder: what does Earth look like in this universe?
Somehow I doubt it's a conservation and resource management success. If we use history as our guide, colonial powers devastated Africa, the Caribbean and elsewhere for their resources, but that didn't mean that they conserved their own. No, quite the opposite: while colonial powers got richer and their elites more decadent, their own nations still suffered under heavy and unregulated industrialization, and while the average European might have enjoyed better standards of living than those in far-away nations being broken and exploited to extract those resources, they were still oppressed by those same elites. Makes me think that Earth might even be worse off than Rubicon, the planet stripped of all useful resources and natural beauty, a wrecked world that we wouldn't recognize. Maybe that's what pushed humans out into space.
But it could also be the opposite. What if the governments of Earth and its colonies elsewhere had put in place heavy regulations on industry and corporate power, and so Balam, Arquebus et al. pushed outward to strip another world of its bounty because they couldn't do it there. We know from the modern world that people will allow needless slavery, death and the wanton pillaging of resources as long as it is far enough away from them, so I wonder if perhaps Rubicon is damned only because Earth has even the slightest modicum of sense, but perhaps political power is too distant, too decentralized or perhaps too apathetic to do anything for Rubicon-3 and its people.
My guess is that Earth looks as bad as Rubicon, because the thematic vibe of Armored Core is that corporate greed knows no bounds, and its appetite can never be sated.

So I promised someone I would make this post - Kira Nerys from DS9 and why she got Kicked Upstairs, quite literally
@iconsumethesoulsofthedamned
OK so - establish what we know of Kira's character at the beginning of the series She has been made the political officer on Deep Space Nine. She is not happy about it both because she has been essentially politely shooed off of Bajor but she also has to take orders from a Federation commander, and resents the very presence of the Federation because having just chased off one military authority why are the Bajorans welcoming another, one approaching making the same promises of friendship the Cardassians did, it's lunacy
Kira is Argumentative (capital A) Kira is temperamental Kira is undiplomatic By all standard political yardsticks she is a TERRIBLE choice to serve as a political officer, especially since Bajor is trying to negotiate its admission to the Federation, and she very much did not ask for the posting
So why did she get it?
Kira is a Major in the Bajoran militia. This is a command officer rank but not a Colonel or a Generalship - it is as I recall the last of the ranks where during wartime you'd be personally commanding soldiers in combat (correct me if you know better). Meaning that she is by the time we meet her a seasoned field officer
But what else do we know about her?
Kira is religious
Not in a flashy or ostentatious way, but in a deeply, sincerely-held way that some could interpret as traditionalist or conservative.
But wait - she also has a close personal relationship with more than one highly-placed Vedek, including a VERY close relationship with one (Bareil) who is on the short-list to become the next Kai... this is like having a list of Cardinals on your speed-dial including one who is placed to become the next Pope with little hearts <3 <3 <3 next to his name in your caller ID.
So not only is she religious, she is a military officer with influence over religious figures (she would doubtless find the idea of exercising that influence in a way that personally elevated her blasphemous, but that's beside the point) - this carries onto the next point
Kira is a leader of one of the most famous resistance cells on Bajor - essentially, the one that did so much damage it forced the Cardassians to relinquish the entire planet as part of negotiating the end of the war with the Federation. The Bajorans made such a stink and did so much damage the Federation said "Let them go" and the Cardassians said "Ok" and that's largely laid at the feet of the Shakar resistance cell. This is why she's so highly-placed in the Bajoran Militia. She has influence over the ex-Partisans and most of the Militia that far exceeds her rank; it becomes fairly obvious over the course of the show that when she calls, they come. Would she use this influence to elevate herself? No, but again that's beside the point.
This influence is so important that politicians like Minister Jaro who want to overthrow the government need her on their side, because if she's not - well, see what happens with Jaro's coup.
So here's a complete portrait: A military officer who's been fighting ever since she could pick up a weapon, notoriously impatient and undiplomatic but with TREMENDOUS influence over the military and ex-military civilians, probably outstripping a lot of officers who outrank her. An officer who is deeply motivated by traditionalist religious beliefs and who has a close relationship with prominent religious figures INCLUDING the man who is widely regarded as the candidate to become the next leader of the planetary religion; she ends up in bed with him later on, quite literally.
Now imagine if you're a politician who sees this quite frankly frightening, charismatic, impatient, INFLUENTIAL officer, probably when she storms into your office and begins to yell and you cannot make her leave. Your government is made of matchsticks and hope. You start to think... if Kira Nerys decides she could do a better job of running the planet she will whistle and not only will half of the Militia side with her, a bunch of farmers who used to be partisans will beat their plowshares back into swords. She could plunge the whole damn planet into civil war. Sure there are people who swear up and down she would find the idea offensive (and she would, but that's beside the point) ...But can you take that chance? What do you do with her? You can't ruin her career, assuming you're jaded enough to try. She is untouchable - incorruptible, fearless, and devoted to service. She has Friends. Maybe you're even one of them?
So set that aside... there is a posting that is technically a promotion; the Federation is establishing a presence in the star system in order to protect Bajor and help clean up the mess the Cardassians left on the planet, and the government needs a ranking officer to represent Bajoran interests and work with the Federation commander.
For her supporters, you sell it like this: Kira Nerys is tough (boy is she) and she won't let the Federation and especially the Cardassians push her around (she absolutely will not). She will represent Bajoran interests above her own (she will). She will serve Bajor on Deep Space Nine the way she always has, with every part of her being (Absolutely)
To those who are afraid of her, you spin it like this. This posting will occupy all of her time (it will) and it will literally keep her off of the planet and isolated (it will, this is one of the reasons she hates it at the beginning of the series). If she messes up, it will damage her reputation (...probably) - and if she succeeds, hardliners who might've rallied behind her will suspect her of being tainted by association with the Federation (cynical, but sure)
And that buys you time to work on strengthening the government so someone like oh, say, an extremely influential, extremely popular war hero can't huff and puff and blow the whole damn thing over

"That Really Happened?!" DC Comics Tournament Entry #34
Shvaughn/Sean
Tumblr media
[ID: Cover of Legion of Super-Heroes #1 that says Young Romance. Shvaughn Erin cries into a handkerchief and says, "*choke* He spends so much time saving the world... When will he find time for me?" In the foreground Element Lad looks off into the distance. A narration box reads, "All my life, happiness eluded my grasp... and nothing I ever cared about lasted! Was this the way it had to be with Jan, too? The Elements of Heartbreak!" /END ID]
What Happened?
Shvaughn Erin was a member of the Science Police, the 30th-century cops who assisted (or hindered) the Legion of Super-Heroes. During the Paul Levitz/Keith Giffen run in the 1980s, she became romantically involved with Legionnaire Jan "Element Lad" Arrah. This upset some members of the Legion fan community who had a theory that Jan was gay. The character wasn't traditionally masculine, wore pink, and had curly blond hair (look, this just how gay coding worked in the 70s and 80s).
When Giffen and married couple Tom and Mary Bierbaum (who got their start in the Legion fan community) took over the title with 1989's vol. 4 (aka, the "Five Years Later" run), one of the things that Giffen wanted to do was kill off Shvaughn to establish Element Lad as gay. They were already using Jan's archenemy, the criminal Roxxas who years ago had genocided the rest of the his species, the matter-transmuting Trommites, as the villain for the first arc. Shvaughn was eventually spared this fate, but the writers still had to square the circle of why a "gay" character would be involved with a woman. Their solution? What if "she" was a "he?"
I'm going to try to explain the rest of this story in as sensitive a way as possible. This is a story that was written in 1992 by, as far as I know, three cishet people and your millage will vary (and as a cis person myself, I can't really speak to how well this holds up). I will generally be using she/her pronouns when the character is presenting as Shvaughn and he/him when presenting as Sean.
In Legion of Super-Heroes, vol. 4 #31, the Earth is recovering from the devastation of losing the moon due to the machinations of the alien Dominators who have infiltrated and subverted the planetary government (note also, the Dominators have an extremely problematic "yellow peril" design so there's a lot going on here). In the midst of this, Jan and Shvaughn meet for the first time in a while. Jan finds out that Shvaughn is going through withdrawal from not being able to obtain the drug Profem. She explains that she had been born male under the name Sean on a very conservative planet. While growing up, Sean developed a crush on Element Lad, who as a teenager was intergalactically famous as a member of the Legion. Thinking that the only way a boy like Jan would find him attractive, Sean started taking Profem, changed her name to Shvaughn, enrolled in the Science Police academy, and eventually became the liaison to the Legion. Now, without access to the drug, Shvaughn is reverting back to her more masculine appearance.
Jan takes all of this in, before telling his former lover that "anything we ever shared physically...it was in spite of the Profem, not because of it!" Shvaughn later runs into the teenage clone of Element Lad from the Dominator's Batch SW6 (we can't get into that right now), and in future appearances shows up fully presenting as masculine and going by Sean. The adult Element Lad goes into a coma and Sean is at his bedside.
Then the Legion gets rebooted in Zero Hour, all of the Legionnaires are teens again with new continuity, and Shvaughn (when she shows up at all) is back to presenting as female with no indication that she was ever Sean. Element Lad (unless I missed anything) is only given female love interests or sexual partners by later writers, or implied to be asexual with a spiritual bend.
While Shvaughn is far from the first female love interest who gets her storyline derailed to support a gay headcanon, it is surprising that it 1. happened in canon and 2. the solution was not to kill her off, but to reveal she is trans (ish?) so the character can detransition back to a man so that his love interest can be gay. What's really weird is that Giffen and the Bierbaums also made canon a romance between Light/Lightning Lass and Shrinking Violet, but never felt a need to invalidate their previous relationships with male partners, which maybe points towards the culture of the time's perceptions of male vs. female bisexuality.

Have you done headcanons for Appoplexians or Cerebrocrustaceans yet? If you haven’t done either, your pick, and if you’ve done both, you can instead share headcanons about your favorite alien species or the one you have the most thoughts about!
I haven’t posted about Cerebrocrustaceans specifically but I have talked about them before! Namely in my Vulpin headcanons as I like to imagine them being in the same planetary system! I’d love to talk about these crabs some more!
Intergalactically, Cerebrocrustaceans have a somewhat bad reputation. Not only can they be hard to work with, but because of how they drained their former planets Encephalonus I, Enceph. II, and Enceph. III of all life.
Them being hard to work stems from deeply instinctual territorial behaviors. Despite their highly advanced intelligence, Cerebrocrustaceans simply never evolved out of their primitive hostility to Any Threat to their Territory.
This being where the species’ rivalry with the Galvans stems from.
Additionally, Cerebrocrustaceans have a strong dislike of Planchaküles. Cerebrocrustaceans culture highly values order and dignity, while Planchaküles behave as absolute chaos goblins and achieve incredible mechanical advancements that easily rivals Cerebrocrustacean work.
Their territorial nature makes lab assistances a non-concept on Encephalonus IV.
When group collaboration is needed (such as the creation of the Cerebroian Currmary as discussed in the aforementioned Vulpin post) Cerebrocrustaceans will agree to meet in a neutral gathering space owned by none of the working Cerebrocrustaceans.
Planet hopping greatly encouraged adaptation in Cerebrocrustacean biology. Modern populations are observed to be more capable of operating on less food and more resistant to pressure changes.
On the topic of adaptation, there is very apparent differences between subsections of Cerebrocrustaceans. The most notable is some being aquatic and others being terrestrial. (This is can seen in examples such as Brainstorm requiring a breathing brace, while Dr. Psychobos does not.)
Aquatic Cerebrocrustaceans have built expansive underwater infrastructure that spans for miles on record. Their water built technology puts them on interplanetary interest.
Semiaquatic, air-breathing Cerebrocrustaceans typically live just above the water, enjoying the brackish and humid conditions.
Tumblr media
Fully terrestrial variants seemingly instead push themselves as high above the water as they can manage, many apparently believing this to be proof of their higher advancements to their cousins.
Tumblr media
There are five united societies on Encephalonus IV. Two of these are fully aquatic, two semiaquatic, and one fully terrestrial. When planet wide matters are up for discussion, representatives from each of these five nations meet on unowned territories and attempt to reach the most mutually beneficial agreement.
Cerebrocrustaceans do not care for their offspring. Eggs are laid and left. Newborns will hatch and fight for rugged survival until their brains have developed enough to join proper society.
There is no social concept of romance in Cerebrocrustacean culture. Reproduction exists as a part of a natural cycle, usually having little intimacy in it.
On this, there is a booming interest in hormonal adjustment practices that remove the urge to breed.
There is no mass recognized currency on Encephalonus IV. Accommodations (such as travel, lab spaces, high functioning homes, etc) are earned through having the Cerebrocrustacean’s intelligence being recognized. If your work is considered impressive and worthwhile, you will have access to ever increasing resources.
Many Cerebrocrustaceans will agree to off planet work with no financial compensation, believing the work will bolster their reputation on their homeworld.
Meanwhile, so to say “low class” Cerebrocrustaceans are limited to a conservative amount of resources to use. Caused by their society’s fear of draining their planet like they had in the past. Cerebrocrustaceans at the bottom of the bucket are expected to work their way up to higher recognition through success. However, there is history of Cerebrocrustaceans whose failures are well known enough that they are “unofficially” given even smaller access to resources.
There are some Cerebrocrustacean whose measurement of intelligence are less material and more philosophical. They are not well respected.
Hope this is acceptable anon!

All About: VIRGO ♍︎ - The Zodiac Signs
Tumblr media
This post will cover all the basic information needed to understand Virgo, the sixth Zodiac Sign!
Take a look at my other posts to see more information on: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer and Leo!
The next one coming is Libra, the seventh Zodiac Sign.. keep a look out!
If you feel like this post has helped you feel free to Follow, Reblog or Repost (as long as I'm credited! I'm relatively new to Tumblr so I'm still learning about how all this works)!
~
Virgo ♍︎
Date (Only applies to Sun Signs): August 23 - September 22
Symbol: ♍︎ - The Maiden
Associated House: Sixth
Associated Degrees: 6°, 18°
Associated Energy: Feminine
Planetary Ruler(s): ☿ Mercury (Modern and Traditional)
Element: Earth
Modality: Mutable
Keywords: Strategic, Ethical, Intelligent, Selfless, Analytical, Honest
This placement can make someone very strategic, intellectual. analytical and ethical! Whilst Virgo placements have a reputation for being very conservative, organised or traditional, you'd be surprised by how unconventional and creative they can really be. This sign makes for someone very realistic and grounded, taking into consideration every little nuance in order to understand a situation and make a decision. When they dedicate their time to something they can become highly skilled before moving onto the next thing, sort of like a Jack of All Trades. However, whilst a Virgo might be skilled in practical things - they may have some issues socially and find they can be quite awkward in certain settings (unless they have developed this skill, they can become extremely charismatic!) and shy. These signs are deeply emotional, amazing at giving practical advice and great during a debate! A Virgo also loves to serve those that they are closest to, and will do their best to make sure their close friends are happy and healthy.
However, getting close to a Virgo is quite difficult and takes a lot for them to trust you - in some aspect they may be quite anxious and read into what you say... Or if you have bad intent they will easily snuff you out and make sure you won't get close to them. Maybe in some aspect of their life they had been taken advantage of at some point, been in a controlling environment or something else which resulted in them using their intellect to solve problems or develop trust issues.
When a Virgo feels incapable or worried, they might get defensive and completely refuse to open up at all - focusing on their hobbies as a way to distract themselves and feel less anxious. On the other hand, they may give in too easily and sort of become a "people pleaser" or try to be the peacemaker in a situation, only to sort of feel like they've been left the short end of the stick. They may start to overthink... a lot. In some cases when a Virgo closes up or feels tense they may even resort to methods of control over their environment (such as keeping objects neat as it allows their brain to focus on something else) or become quite snappy.
When Virgo feels safe and capable they can really develop anything, but the issue is they may not see something through long enough to fully reap the rewards, maybe become somewhat careless in what they do. When it gets to this point, it is important for someone with this placement to maintain some sort of discipline, stick to what they care about and remain grounded.

Notes/Keywords/Phrases
Zodiac Sign
Each of the Zodiac Signs are a constellation. The Zodiac Sign shows how a Planet/Asteroid/Fixed Point/House is being represented and expressed. Once a Planet/Asteroid/Fixed Point/House falls into a Zodiac Sign, it adopts the energy of it.
For example: if Mercury falls into the constellation Sagittarius, Mercury adopts Sagittarian traits. If the 6th House falls into the constellation Aquarius, the 6th House adopts Aquarian traits.
Associated House
The Houses in Astrology are dependent on the time and location of birth in a Natal Chart and there are 12 different ones. Each of these 12 Houses are then assigned to a Zodiac Sign and 1 or 2 Planetary Rulers. The Houses in Astrology show you what area of life the energy of the Zodiac and Planets/Asteroids/Fixed Points is appointed to and helps provide depth into the chart.
For example: Capricorn's Associated House is the 10th House.
Associated Degrees
When a Planet/Asteroid/Fixed Point/House falls into a Zodiac Sign constellation, it will be appointed a Degree. This Degree shows how far along the Planet/Asteroid/Fixed Point/House is in a Zodiac Sign. Each Degree is also associated with a Zodiac Sign, meaning when this Degree comes up it can nuance the way the Zodiac Sign of a Planet/Asteroid/Fixed Point/House is being represented.
For example: Mars is 6° in the Zodiac Cancer, 6° represents Virgo - therefore the Cancer Mars also takes on Virgo traits. The 2nd House is 23° in the Zodiac Scorpio, 23° represents Aquarius - therefore the 2nd House in Scorpio takes on Aquarian traits.
Planetary Ruler(s)
This phrase refers to the Planet(s) that rule a Zodiac Sign. When a Planet falls into the Zodiac Sign it has rulership over, the energy of both the Planet and the Zodiac Sign is amplified.
For example: Pisces' Planetary Ruler is Neptune.
Modern / Traditional
These words are associated with two kinds of Astrology: Modern Astrology and Traditional Astrology. Traditional Astrology refers to Astrology that was practiced before the 19th century, whilst Modern Astrology refers to Astrology that is practiced now. Some people choose to practice Traditional Astrology, some people choose to practice Modern Astrology, whilst some others might practice both types or combine them together.
Element
Each Zodiac Sign/Planet/House/Degree is associated with an Element and this covers certain traits which are unique to the Zodiac Sign/Planet/House/Degree they correspond to.
These Elements are: Fire, Air, Water and Earth.
Modality
Much like an Element, each Zodiac Sign/Planet/House/Degree is associated with a Modality. The Modality describes what the focus of a placement is and how the energy is expressed.
There are 3 different Modalities: Cardinal, Mutable and Fixed.

This lack of engagement with the abundant literature is essentially the greatest issue with Half-Earth Socialism: its discussion of existing Half-Earth approaches and its lack of a direct engagement with an actual plan (as opposed to the technology required in that plan) to create a socialist Half-Earth. Whilst commendable in many ways for recognizing the colonial origin of proposals to rewild half the Earth, the book entirely fails to analyze what makes Half-Earth a problematic plan for ecosocialists concerned with settler colonialism and capitalist extraction.
[...]
Beyond its obvious enforcement problem (who would police the borders of Half-Earth? How would this policing be done?), Half-Earth Socialism makes no scientific evaluation of existing biodiversity frameworks and governance methods. There is no engagement with how a“socialist” Half-Earth would solve the issues pointed out by eco-Marxist and other scholars, such that it is not actually a good method for managing biodiversity, that it ignores the actual drivers of loss of biodiversity (hint, it is exactly who you think), and that when done appropriately, shared Earth/convivial approaches have demonstrably good results in preservation of biodiversity. Indeed, the central omission here is again the lack of engagement with the literature through a benchmarking of Half Earth against other methods. Conviviality and other models of conservation as alternatives for securing justice with non-human life, planetary stability, and a different way of living are simply not discussed, even when for Marxists there is a rich history to learn from and they can be effective in protecting biodiversity. Instead, the authors reify once again the duality between Nature and humanity core to the idea of rewilding.
