Let’s talk: BTS @ AMAs 2021

What an incredible night it was, a night that brought two major firsts--the first time Bangtan saw and heard ARMY again in two years, and the first time an Asian act won Artist of the Year in AMA history. Both emotional and meaningful in their own right, the latter an achievement that has only cemented them so much more as the true living legends that they are, history makers and record breakers.

(Side note - maybe that’s just me but doesn’t it look a bit like Namjoon is holding JKs hand?)

From the moment they arrived on the red carpet until the cameras were turned off and the show was over, they were the moment, the act, the outstanding group of so very talented men everyone was looking at and being curious about. I’m truly so, so proud of them, and I’m also so happy for them that they could finally be among their peers again, see artists on stage, hear the screams and chants from fans when they went on stage to pick up their three awards but also while they performed.

Bangtan getting the “please wrap it up” warning during their speech, and Seokjin pulling JK away from the mic when he was almost ready with what he wanted to say so that Tae also could say something, and Yoongi delivering his speech in Korean? Definitely one of the major highlights of the night and also very Bangtan.

What a night for Bangtan, but also what a night for vminnies and namjinists.

The maknaes (along with Hobi) having a little moment (can we talk about Jimin’s fond smile toward the end at Tae?) while Seokjin watches Namjoon, and also peaks at what’s going on in the back. Oh, and Yoongi smiling at Namjoon’s speech, adorable.

Yoongi, Hobi and JK dancing and imitating the choreography being performed on stage while vibing together was one of my favorite things, especially since the other members were so into it as well, just having a good time.

Generally one of my favorite things to see while the show was going on and different artists were performing were the Tannies reactions, how they really got into some of the performances and music. Also Giveon noticing Tae singing and dancing along in his seat and stepping “off stage” to shake his hand, lightly bow and thank him? Truly amazing, and Tae was so, so happy afterward. Or Tae using the chance and saying hi to Conan Gray after accepting one of their awards. Tae seemed to have the time of his life last night.

And let’s also not forget Becky G who came over to Hobi and Yoongi to say hello and talk to them for a moment, giving them a hug and looking so happy. Later, after the show was over, they also had a picture all together. Honestly with how messy the US celebrity world is, I’m so glad they have at least a few genuine friends.

Can we also take a moment to talk about Namjoon and Yoongi immediately getting up to hug each other when they announced that BTS won Artist of the Year which immediately reminded me of their hug back when they won their first Daesang in 2017. What a journey it has been for these two, 11 years and counting.

*i just got into victon myself last week, so i apologize if i got anything wrong!*

Kang Seungsik

Kang Seungsik is the leader and lead vocalist of victon. his birthday is april 16, 1995. he is an aries and he’s 5’11. he is called the mom of the group, has dimples, and he hates cucumbers. he is also a sleep walker. a gif will be below so you can see his facial features.

Han Seungwoo

Han Seungwoo is the lead vocalist, lead rapper, and lead dancer. his birthday is december 24th 1994. he was the original leader of victon, but resigned from the position when he went to produce x1. he went to produce x1, and actually joined when he won. he’s the most athletic of the group, and is the strongest member of the group as well. here’s a gif so you can take a look at his facial features.

Heo Chan

Heo Chan is the lead vocalist of the group, his birthday is december 14th, 1995. he’s a talkative person, and the mood maker of the group. he’s an excellent dancer, as well, and like the other members, has prominent dimples. here is a gif of him.

Lim Sejun

Sejun is the lead dancer and vocalist of the group, and is also the face of the group. his birthday is may 4th 1996. he eats a lot, and loves being mischievous. he’s a gamer (loves playing league of legends.) and he says he hates his thighs. Do Hanse

Hanse is the main rapper and lead dancer in victon. his birthday is september 25th, 1997. he is scared of cats and water (lmao) he hates negative environments, and the members find it hard to be mad at him even when he’s in a bad mood. he loves to act fluffy and cute with the other members as well. here is a gif so you can see his facial features.

Choi Byungchan

Byungchan is a vocalist and a visual of the group, his birthday is december 12, 1997. he’s the tallest in the group, and loves big bang. the members often call him a giraffe because of his tall height (6’1.) he hates tomatoes and seafood, his favorite color is black, and he is good at dancing to girl group songs. here is a gif so you can see his facial features.

Jung Subin
