i have a certain PG AU in my head where danganronpa is a actual show you can audition for and the fans are EXACTLY like fans irl. pregame shuichi and ouma are huge like theater, film and horror nerds okay, and they made a small horror ARG (would it be an ARG?? idk..) just for funnies with rantaro kaede and a bunch of other people and post it online.

basically it was like. all that toxic saiouma stuff of shuichi being a weirdo, kaito bullying ouma and kaede being a bitch. BUT ALL FOR FILM. they just thought it would cool to make one and ouma is a good actor and shuichi has a big interests in indie horror films.

ouma, shuichi and rantaro worked on the script and scenes and kaede would help with makeup and stuff. basically it was framed like if shuichi record himself stalking ouma and just taking and raving to the camera about how much he knows about ouma. explaining oumas whole personal life to the camera and showing everyone his massive wall of pictures, items and just weird stuff he took of/from ouma.

it ends with either them having a really toxic relationship and it’s just documenting a really manipulative and toxic relationship, and shuichi ruining oumas relationships with other people to keep ouma to himself. and he explains it all to the camera. or you know the usual kidnap stuff. or a really open ending to it. i

it’s definitely NOT a romantic kinda thing. it’s supposed to be a horror ARG. like killing stalking when it’s clearly a horror manga and people made it out to be a BL lolz. anyway i’m the beginning it shows shuichi just taking a few pictures of ouma because he looks cute all the way to the end of doing some horrific stuff like kidnapping him and shit.

danganronpa fans found it after they where got into the show/game and just went with it. making it out like shuichi just filmed himself stalking ouma for fun and posting it. definitely not getting it was an ARG/art project made by them for fun.

i’m thinking they didn’t really expect anyone to see it so they labeled it something ominous and gave it little to no description because.. well they didn’t wanna break the atmosphere!!

they’re weird, not crazy.

||Kaede and Kokichi with a crush on a Bitchy G/N Reader

—it seems like I can’t create an OC without making them a bitch or at least a bully. So, I’ve done this concept for almost every time I write.

Kaede Akamatsu🎹

She didn’t understand why you were so upset with everyone.

Everybody had tried being nice to you on the first day, well excluding Miu and Kokichi.

Yet, after they showed you nothing but kindness and you showed aggression back, so most of your classmates avoided you.

Though, Kaede didn’t want to exclude you from activities or hangouts since that would just be cruel.

Whenever paired events would take place, nobody would want to be your partner because of your rude attitude, so in a attempt to make you feel welcomed, she’d always be your partner whether she really wanted to be with you or not.

That caused you and her to start bonding and hanging out outside of when you two are paired.

( I made a ‘little’ scenario of you and Kaede in a three-legged race )

“Y/N! Wanna be partners for the race?”

Kaede had run up to you while you were standing all alone looking down at your phone, feeling bored.

“Can’t you see that I’m busy?”

You said rather quickly, not thinking of your answer and just wanting to be left alone by Kaede.

“Well, you need a partner to participate in the game. I was just making sure that everyone has a complete pair.”

“To be completely honest, I don’t want to do your stupid race!” You had slightly snapped at Kaede from her not giving you the alone time that you craved.

Kaede had gone slient, trying to think of a good reply to not come off as rude. She was doing her best to stay kind to you, but you were pissing her off.

“How about this, you do the three-legged race with me and if you don’t have fun, I’ll never ask you to join me again. Deal?”

Kaede held her hand out towards you, gesturing for a handshake.

You had thought about it for a bit, and came to the conclusion that it was a good deal. So, you accepted her offer, feeling slightly defeated.

Kaede had tied her left leg to your right leg securely with a pink ribbon representing ‘team pink’

You two stood at the start line, Kaede smiling at you to hopefully make you feel like she genuinely likes you, while you stared at her with an annoyed face.

“Aw come on, turn that frown upside down! We’re gonna have so much fun.”

You gave her a sarcastic smile for a moment before going back to your bored expression. “There, happy?”

“Eheh….sure.” She tried to do a good fake giggle but ultimately failed.

The faculty member hosting the event started the race, everyone ran off, though a lot of them fell on the track floor.

You sped off towards the finish line, you may not be in the mood for a race, but you’re not in the mood for losing.

“Y-Y/N! Slow down, I might fall!” Kaede was trying to keep up with you, originally she wasn’t going to run very fast but since you were, she was forced to sprint or she’ll probably bleed from falling on the hard track.

“ Pfft! First one to fall is a little bitch!” You said jokingly, not actually expecting any of you to slip.

Jokes on you, immediately after you said that Kaede fell face first onto the track. It hurt like hell but Kaede expected you to stop to make sure she was fine.

But you didn’t stop, you just laughed while dragging Kaede’s body across the track.

“Hahahahaha! You’re like a little floppy ragdoll!”

She felt like she should have been mad at you for your ignorance, but she just couldn’t get mad when you seemed so happy.

Kaede thought your laugh was adorable ( even if it was an extremely ugly laugh )

A bright pink blush spread across her face as she laughed along with you.

Long story short, team pink finished in 2nd place! Kaede had a small nosebleed but laughing made it better.

Kokichi Ouma 🎬

Kokichi was interested in you ever since the first day he met you.

Though, he did think you were quite annoying because of your unnecessary attitude.

He thought that you were just being a bitch to get all of the attention, but little did he know, you just wanted to be left alone.

So, he began pestering you for fun, thinking that you were just a Miu wannabe.

It was fun to see you get red and mad, even when you threaten to kick his ass.

He liked how your insults were creative, they made him laugh because of how stupid they were.

time for the scenario, might be a bit shorter than kaede’s

“Dayum Y/N! I didn’t even know that a human can be as bitchy as you are, that level of bitchy-ness has to be a world record. Congratulations!”

Kokichi said with an enthusiastic smile on his face, watching you get even more annoyed by him was so goddamn entertaining.

“I’m sick of your stupid lies! I get it, you don’t like me! Just say what you want to actually say instead of adding some fake ass congratulations.”

You rolled your eyes, frustrated by Kokichi’s shenanigans.

“How do you know if I was lying, hmmm?? I’m telling the stone cold truth! Didn’t your mom teach you any better than to falsely accuse?”

You started getting mad at him, he was so annoying that he was making your skin fade red.

“Yeah, well at least I have a mom! Didn’t you tell everyone that you had no parents?”

He paused his constant effort to annoy for moment to process what you just said to him.

“Wow, that wasn’t very nice nor funny.”

“What? It’s the truth.”

Kokichi pulled out his crocodile tears and began whining loudly.

“Waaaahhhhh!! I just wanted to be friendsss!!”

You felt slightly bad, mainly because you didn’t know he was fake crying.

“K-Kokichi….fine…I didn’t mean it.”

*sniffle* *sniffle* “You’re lyingggg!!”

“No, I’m not!”

“If your reeeaaallly sorry then say that I’m so hot and I always tell the truth.”

You groaned audibly, not believing that you were actually going to say what he wanted you to.

“Fine…You’re so hot and you always tell the truth.”

“No! Say Kokichi is hot!”

“Do I really have to use your name..?”

“If you don’t I’ll never ever ever forgive you!”

“Ugh, Kokichi is so hot and….he always tells the truth.”

He quickly stopped sobbing once you finished the sentence as he got up and cheered.

“Sooo, you think i’m hot?”

“You’re living proof that even ugly people have sex.”

“Nishishishi, thank you for thinking that I’m sexually active!”

The room got silent for a second.

“What?”

Apollo: South Park au! Clown: OMG it's like a small town au but INSANE Apollo: It's just a chaotic mess Clown: It really would One direction it could could be it's just danganronpa, but they're kids now, but also half of canon "game" is just them making things up Like play pretend! But the bears real Apollo: Who'd be who? I think Shuichi might be Kyle or Stan lmao. Maki might be Craig Oooo like stick of truth style? Clown: Yeah!! Exactly!! Also hmm, Kenny's Miu! Because that's funny Kiibo is butters Cause he gets bullied all the time I do not wanna make kokichi cartman I will cry aksbdkdh I wanna say shuichi could be Stan because of the depression lmao Junko can be cartman/hj If shuichis Stan would that make ouma wendy???

Apollo: Oh god does this mean he gets puked on? Clown: I FORGOR ABOUT THAT OH NOOOO Shuichi feels butterflies in his tummy and thinks he may be dying Danganronpa being a game all the local kids play is just, really fun. Like how in stick of truth they had the main classes and their leaders. They can have something similiar! (Am I saying this so ouma can keep child version of dice?? Yeah) There's a despair and hope side run by junko and Makoto respectively, maybe Tho I don't know what the goal of the game would be? Also hajime going "I have every skill actually" is so funny

Apollo: Probably who can out do each other in dramatics. It'd probably be a murder mystery probably where Junko pulls random people aside and assigns them killer and victim and they have to kill/die in a certain timeframe. Junko would help organize the clues and stuff and they'd hold the trials after. Also, imagine if Izuru was Hajime's twin who's like a prodigy or whatever but didn't want to play so Hajime just went I'll be talented enough for the both of us! Clown: Ouma dramatic recreation of his very serious death in the middle of the street gets interrupted by a car driving by so they scramble to wait on the sidewalk before returning to wailing dramatically Apollo: He finds fake blood and covers himself in it before putting like a bit of metal or something over himself but hears a honk and just throws the metal off and rushes to the side of the road, 'bleeding out' The town is so used to their antics that they don't even blink at the sight of Kokichi covered in blood Clown: Kaitos pulling him along like "go! Gogogogo!!" Shuichi's uncle is letting them use his garage as Shuichi's "ultimate lab" The adults are lowkey invested in the story line ajdvskbdk

Apollo: DICE gets in with planning deaths and stuff because they find it hilarious to watch everyone pretending to be dead/executed. They eventually get banned after everyone realised that Kokichi might be getting clues from them as to who the killer is "How am I meant to be the Ultimate Supreme Leader if you've banned my gang??? " Clown: Ouma keeps complaining saying it was totally fair because one of his skills is sleuthing. So of course he needed info!! "Fine!! They're in JAIL actually!! The reason so many of hajimes classmates survived is because he kept finding "revives" (a bear shaped cookie, or something) and just passed them out to his class He ran out before he could give one to chiaki… Apollo: Yes! Loser is finding all the boosts and is just handing them out Rip Chiaki Kokichi sulks for awhile until one of DICE tell him to grow up and cause hell for them 'Chapter 4.3' freaked everyone out because none of them expected Gonta and Kokichi to team up and kill Miu

Clown: YEAAHH, shuichis frantically flipping through the "rulebook" a spiral notebook junko gave them. "Is this allowed?? Is this allowed???" Their parents are watching from the kitchen window as they witness ouma and gonta put on the act of their goddamn toddler lives Apollo: They're so proud Shuichi panicked and told Kokichi he'd be alone after the trial and started apologizing almost in tears afterwards Clown: Kokichi was holding back his own tear tbh lmao Apollo: Shuichi was just panicking and wanted to seem cool by playing along with everyone. The second it was done, he run after Kokichi to apologize and tell him he didn't mean it Clown: Ouma sniffling and going "we're enemies right now." Meanwhile shuichis just [crying cat emoji] Apollo: DICE is not pleased but allow him to continue playing. Shuichi almost has a breakdown at Kokichi's death because he briefly forgets how dramatic the guy is and thought he went over the top with his death because of what he said Clown: THE CHILDHOOD ANGST His depressive episode when kaito was kidnapped?? That's him sniveling and going "I dont wanna play anymore" while everyone tries to convince him to keep going

Apollo: Kokichi huffs and gives Kaito his phone so he and Shuichi can talk when it's dark. Kaito isn't that shocked to see that Kokichi's room is an utter mess. He is a bit confused and possibly lowkey concerned when he sees the 'evidence' he's hoarded Clown: He's really going all out for the game akshdjhd His "lab" where shuichi finds evidence of previous killing games is a tent in his backyard OMG he's dramatically writing his "this is not a will" note with kaito behind him as he gets really into character Apollo: Kaito is concerned ™ with how in character Kokichi can be but at the same time is slightly jealous in awe because he wants to be like that. Sure he can play into the whole hero thing but the flu is making it hard to keep in character. Kokichi was the one to convince him to use it for the game. Mikan isn't happy because Kaito needs rest to recover quickly but here he is, working out each night before his grandparents call him home and fighting Kokichi He gave his grandparents puppy dog eyes and they let him play as long as he doesn't overdo it Clown: He didn't wanna miss out on the game!! His goatee is a piece of paper he taped to his chin To look "cooler" Apollo: Kokichi keeps trying to steal it as a 'joke', saying he can just draw one for you! Kaito naturally does not trust him Clown: Oumas trying to sharpie his face man They have a sleepover for chapter 5 and he finally succeeds Apollo: The real reason Kaito agreed to kill him /hj

[Clown went to sleep after that, and it's precisely when I bust in with my character assignments, so late it's no longer fashionable & I don't even have a coffee]

Me: Maki Craig, Miu Tweek would make so much sense actually, both how they used to fight all the time & the later relationship, Shuichi would be Stan for sure, Kokichi can be Kyle [haruruma was an attempt at Kai bait ngl] [about Kiibo as Butters] that I can wholeheartedly agree with no, Wendy is Kaede, duh okay, I am beginning to see the Junko Cartman, but for it to be really him, there needs to me more cringefail element, so I suggest Tsumugi, she has way more delulu [this is probably the only instance I used that word and I won't do it again, but also. I did use that because a character like Cartman can be genuinely delusional, like when it seemed he was just trying to take credit for the gay fish joke, until near the end of the episode when it becomes clear he believes his version of the story & is willing to die for it, it's just one of many examples when he just convinces himself of something so strongly, so I do not mean it lightheartedly] energy and that's a requirement here, we're talking about the most disturbed child on the playground Rantaro should be the french? guy that pisses of Stan because he's close to Wendy Kenny Ryoma would work, he's a tortured soul (I would consider Kenny Kokichi but I don't want to) Kaito really doesn't fit anyone, maybe he could be Clyde? (but honestly that gang would be hard to assign anyone)

Chee: theyre both fucking crying like kids do I can see it in my head, Shu apologizing and Ko just keeps repeating that theyre enemies (hes like half messing w him too) WHSHHS THE FLU IN PLACE OF HIS DISEASE IM FUCKING CRYING I LOVE THIS SO SO MUCH, Kokichi in this au reminds me of how Mysterion takes his superhero act so seriously imagine if Izuru who doesnt wanna join is the one watching out for the cars for them, he had a little chair and calls out to the others when a car comes by also Junko starting this whole huge game probably bc shes bored sounds funny

Apollo: He just has a megaphone and yells in the most bored voice I love Mysterion so much and I can see Kokichi acting sorta like him "Move or not. I don't care if you get squished for real."

Chee: I honestly just want Ko, Shu & Kaede to be Style & Wendy bc theyre my fav trios WHSHHS BUT HONESTLY KOKICHI KENNY IS COOL BUT HMM do we gotta assign them kids ? :0 Me: you know I said Kyle Kokichi for Style reasons what if I said Pip & Damien Kirumaki? Maki is a good fit for Damien, Pip is Pip [maybe it'd be better to pick a due from a different class tho, idk which assignment is better for Maki] the way main cast treats Pip would have to be adjusted but it's not like there's a better fit for Kirumi amongst those children Angie could be that girl that turned out to be a living ad

oh noooooo all your doctor who posting put me down a twelveclara rabbit hole and i can't get out!! as a non-dw watcher, who is twelve and who's clara in the physouma situation?

SO SORRY TO INFLICT TWELVECLARA ON YOU NOT EVEN AS A DW WATCHER THATS OS PAINFUL .

12 is extremely emotionally unavailable, often coarse and unintentionally cruel/harsh, and is more 'flippant' with stuff that would cause a lot of other people emotional pain. in terms of his relationship with clara, she's the only one really permitted to see each and every side of him, and their relationship is very much a 'warts and all' type of thing, whether you interpret it as platonic or romantic or a secret third thing, its very... you're ugly, i'm ugly. neither of us can absolve or condemn the other, we can only love, and we do.

clara is such a fascinating character. she starts out imo as a fairly shallow girl with not much to separate her from the typical spunky adorkable sassy female deuteragonist of the 2010s but she gains infinitely more depth when paired with 12. as his own deep flaws are exposed, her reactions to them expose her own. she can be reckless, hotheaded, selfish, but at her core she is empathetic, kind, and loyal. and what i like a lot abt her is that she isnt a doormat to 12's callousness or disinterest. she will talk back to him, she will put him in his place even though its evident that 12 is smarter/wiser/older than her. it's such an equal-sided relationship that it never feels like 12 is bulldozing clara's feelings , or that clara is spitefully bullying 12 , because we know where they both come from .

so . long story short . 12 is ouma , keeping people at a distance with a soft spot for one person who is allowed to see him, who comes across cruel and flippant to most other people, who is not above deceit to get his way, who condescends to those he thinks are below him, who loves the other with all his heart. and phys is clara, the one who will see every ugly part of him and stand by him anyway, who will not lie down and allow him to trample over her feelings or the things she thinks are important, who will remind him when he's wrong, who will stick by him until death.

That being said, I’m going to try and spare too many particularly controversial (mainly, real world conspiracy theory and historical themes) things going forward, and to keep things simpler. That’s not to say that these themes won’t show up, but that I’d rather focus on narrative over that. Frankly, too much of that kinda stuff is stressful and it’s not really my lane.

I know I said this, but this is testing me like you have no idea. This is what happens when you have a mystery author who likes fucking with controversial shit *and* leaving threads open, it almost feels negligent to not lay it all out in excruciating detail

v3′s art is comically terrible for a professionally distributed game in a series: a compilation

in this not-essay I will list all of the mistakes and problems I have spotted in v3′s art. don’t worry, it’s entirely for fun and I’m doing this on a whim, so please feel free to not take this seriously but also it’s hilarious and embarrassing how ridiculous this is like what happened did they speedrun the whole production or what

see, there are some things you can take as meta like “they made it bad on purpose to allude to the downfall of tv shows that have been on air for much too long” but I have a very strong feeling this is not the case due to the nature of some of these errors

disclaimer, the more I study this art, the more I fear that the artists were underpaid and underslept, so if this is in fact the case, I am so sorry to all of them but also I’m going to make fun of the art anyway

anyway let’s get started!

if you study this image for longer than 5 seconds, you will see that kaede is the only one fully shaded and keebo is literally just his normal sprite pasted into the image. every other character is just an ordinary ref, hence most of them facing the exact same direction with neutral expressions on their faces. it looks like a bad edit, and is probably one of the worst pieces of art in the game. it kind of gets better from here on, but my roasting will not.

with that out of the way, here’s the problem that officially bothers me the most and clarifies my viewpoint of “this is not meta and an actual lack of company communication”

this freaking cg, which seems normal at a glance, but some wiseass was like “oh, kaede is a girl, so obviously she’s going to be shorter than the Male Protagonist™” ah, that’s funny. because if you look at the character bios, kaede is, in fact, one inch taller than shuichi and not like 6 inches shorter as she is shown here.

also shuichi’s shoulder is disproportionate and horrendous and he looks vaguely like a jojo character, but I wasn’t even thinking about that until right now.

thanks guys, 50% of the fandom who has never bothered to check these bios thinks that kaede is like 5′3 (did the developers really put so little thought into her to the point where drawing her correctly in the game didn’t even matter??)

also I would like to point out that, even though this isn’t related to the art itself, yes, a character kaede’s size being only 117 lbs is unfeasible, but this applies to literally every character in danganronpa ever and it’s not new news that it’s unrealistic

update: someone in the tags informed me that in versions of the game that use centimeters, like the japanese version, kaede is actually shorter than shuichi, which just adds another thing to the list of weird decisions the localization team made for no reason. that said, after confirming this, kaede is 167 cm in the original, while shuichi is 171 cm, which are approximately 5′6 and 5′7 respectively, but one inch is still nowhere near as drastic as it is depicted above. (in spite of this, I would rather depict kaede as slightly taller, so I’m probably going to keep doing that.)

speaking of which, can we talk about how shady the perspective is in this elevator pic? look at shuichi and kokichi in comparison to kaede. kokichi, who is canonically 7 inches (edit: or 5, if you’re loyal to the original) shorter than kaede, looks taller than kaede. he’s growing too. what steroids are these gays taking

running into the room, electric boogaloo: I don’t think tsumugi is supposed to be the same height as kokichi

I love how kaito’s head looks kind of like it was pasted onto his body. why is he the same size as shuichi? shouldn’t he be high school bully size or something? his torso is teensy

I also love how this cg looks like they literally took pictures of trees and pasted them into the background, especially on the left. the shadows are so weird, especially closer to the ceiling, it’s difficult for me to believe they didn’t do exactly that.

I have to mention it, guys. this has to be one of the worst danganronpa cgs. kokichi’s facial proportions look atrocious. look at the way his face sticks out like his jaw is in the wrong place. his scarf is a pasted texture. that’s it. this moment was so iconic but the cg just looks so… so… off. like something is terribly wrong, but you can’t put your finger on it.

you know what? let’s get into that ‘pasted texture’ thing.

let’s imagine you’re an artist working on a professional game. you’re assigned to draw cgs of kokichi ouma, who has a checkered scarf from hell. sure, it will be terrible to draw, but you only have to draw it once at a time! plus, perspective is pretty important, right? can you be bothered? nah, actually. let’s just copy paste a checkered pattern into the cg, because I’m sure nobody will notice. it’ll blend right in with the other cgs that someone actually put effort into drawing his scarf in, right?

no. the answer is no and I very much noticed. this genuinely looks terrible and I would understand taking a shortcut like that in fanart or even an indie game but this is a full price pc and console distributed game

(an addition: look at kokichi’s TINY HANDS in that last one)

meanwhile, they straight up forgot to color in kokichi’s scarf in this cg.

dude. I forgot about whatever the hell this cg was. anyway look at keebo please just look at him

real talk, maybe you could argue that he’s missing muscle because he’s deathly sick, but most of his cgs don’t line up with this, and his arms just look disproportionate to his torso size (granted this is a consistent problem across all danganronpa games and a lot of characters have this weird problem, like hajime, but also kaito is bigger than hajime so I kind of have higher expectations of him) maybe it’s his stupid goatee and the way he reminds me of yasuhiro?? it creates this illusion that he’s older than he is and so I keep expecting him to look more like an adult

oh, also rantaro is missing some of his accessories in that video he made–you know the one–but I don’t wanna go back and screenshot it

also you may have noticed that I’m skipping all of the monokub cgs because I literally do not care about them and I’m not even bothering to check and see if they have artistic mistakes in them

so, that done, the sprites are also pretty terrible at times. they’re not as interesting to go through, however, and downloading the full sprite sets for every character and studying every single one of them will drive me insane, so I’ll just sum some of the ones I noticed up. I made things for kaede and shuichi before deciding I wasn’t going to get into it, so here are these.

that said, other mistakes include kokichi missing his purple highlights in all of the sprites encompassing a specific pose, stray pixels all over the place on everyone, and everyone also has heavily inconsistent shading, but literally all I think about is how pregame shuichi is unshaded and two of kaede’s pregame sprites have glaring outfit change mistakes in them

anyway, thank you for taking the time to read my ridiculous ramble. in all seriousness, there’s this looming presence of some lack of communication in the development team, like with all the art and design inconsistencies, pieces and sprites that look rushed, stray pixels, and missing basic proportional stuff. these are the kinds of things that you supposedly have to pretty much have in the bag in order to get jobs in professional businesses, so it’s really weird to me that this game suffers from so many of these problems. it’s like they tried to make the art so much more crisp than the other games, but it fell on its face as they realized it was going to take longer to draw everything and they started to rush. it’s weird, because the coloring itself looks normal–it’s just sloppily drawn, and the proportions are a mess once put into the context of perspective. many of the cgs look like they were drawn by different people, and I’m still not over the fact that half of kokichi’s cgs have his scarf pasted in as a texture.

the moral of the story is that if you’re selling a game at full price that also happens to be in a series that has had 3 very good games in it already the stakes should probably be higher than this. v3 has been out for more than 3 years and it’s still $40 (did it cost more than that before? I sure hope not), and the overarching quality of the game is just not as high as the other games. I’m not saying that the other games don’t have any problems with their art at all, they’re just not as glaringly obvious and every artistic choice in those games feels intentional.

regardless, I had a blast roasting the art at 2am, so maybe you got a kick out of all this chaos.

Aaaa i'm glad you like my stuff so much!!! I was originally going to cut Kokichi from this as I can't see him getting with a robot (his robophobia towards KIIBO, for starters), but I decided to include it under the cut. It's not very happy, though.

When you two get together, Kokichi bullies him mercilessly.

At that point, you shot knives at him to pin him to the wall, picking up KIIBO and walking off.

He hid his face in his hands, but he couldn't deny that he was pleased.

Kokichi began to bother you exclusively, begging you to join his organization, but you just shot a bullet of sticky solution to keep him in place before walking off.

KOREKIYO SHINGUJI

This is an extremely odd pair, to everyone watching.

The Ultimate Anthropologist and the Ultimate Killing Machine Robot?

Whenever you go with him to do his anthropology business, it always turns into Indiana Jones esque situations.

Who knew Nazis were so interesting in the ruins of the fertile crescent?

Well, turns out, there was an ancient bomb recipe hidden in those ruins. So you and Korekiyo raced to get it first (both to stop the Nazis from getting it and also….. History…..)

The Nazis did get it, but it turns out an ancient bomb recipe kinda really sucks, compared to modern bombs.

So you just tied them up and knocked them out, turning them into local authorities.

And that was only your first adventure!

Even though his adventures without you are much calmer, Kiyo wouldn’t trade you for the world.

And of course, you taking out people who would use the history for evil is nice as well.

Gonna keep it real with you chief - he doesn’t actually like you. He could never love a robot, after all!

But you’re so useful to him and his organization, so he can lie for a bit!

If he had a second Ultimate, he would be the Ultimate Liar after all.

He uses you…. A lot. If you have feelings for him, he plays an expert level keep away. He acts lovely and bashful one minute, then pulls away, exclaiming how he can’t risk your safety - he has so many enemies, it would be dangerous! But if someone were to get rid of those enemies….

yaknow- i said i was gonna try my hand at making my own takes on at least Kagehara and Bonkichi- guess i should actually do that.

here's my take- instead of the abusive or hella creepy stuff where one or both are completly off their rocker cause i never understood that- what if they're just two nerds who suck at socializing who found one another and decided the other was really cool, and they like them alot, and maybe they should hang out or something

Bon carries over my artistic talent hc from Ouma, and loves to draw all sorts fanart, from fluff to angst to shitposts. He likes to draw Kage fanart of all the detective character as those are all his favorites, and sometimes draws a ship or two for him. He has a wall he covered in traditional art, and has almost run out of space on his tablet from the sheer amount of digitals drawings and refrence images he has saved.

It's his comfort/venting media so he spends alot if time working on new art when his paranoia issues are higher than they should be (which is more often than he'd ever admit) Bon is reserved, but still a bastard and loves to do things that tic people off, he's a bully in that regard- using a verbal bite to keep people out of his buisness. People love his art, but most don't ever confront him cause they'd rather not get bullied, the only person to have actually surpassed his bullying is Kage, and even then to an outsider the way Bon talks to Kage sounds like bullying- even if it's lighthearted

Kage is a semi school-popular danganronpa geek who loves to write, he does mainly theories- but on ocassion he'll bust out a great fanfic / oneshot. He's mainly popular because of his looks but most find his DR hyperfixation a turnoff so not that many people actually try to go after him, as results he gets some very mixed interactions.

Kage is the kind of guy to sit there and rattle your ears off about little very unnoticable things in danganronpa that are somehow importiant to the overaching plot of DR. the only known people to have enough patience for his rants are his tumblr followers, and Bon- who also follows him on tumblr. He honestly is just a harmless geek and most people can't handle how much energy he puts into his hyperfixation, so he just kinda vibes with the few people who don't mind. Outside of his hyperfixation he's mostly a talkative but shy geek with some serious adhd that he has meds for but forgot to take for the past year. he also has a soft spot for anything fluffy

it's also worth to note here i 100% think these two are dating and people just don't realize it cause Bon's publicly used love language is insults, and Kage is just too much to really imagine anyone actually finding a personality to love underneith the DR hyperfixation, but they make it work and very well. They probably were mid fangan creation when the oprotunity to join DR popped up. Kage was so desperate to be part of it he over exagerated himself in the audition to try and secure a place, and Bon joined to fufill a personal desire to fuck shit up- he'd actually gone behind Kage's back to join cause he didn't want him freaking out over his safty

Kokichi x reader - patching him up after he falls through the floorboard

Request: I felt bad for a Kokichi when no one bothered to check up on him when he fell through the floor so how about a scenario where someone catches up to him after the trial and bullies him into letting them bandage him up. This small act of kindness causes him to fall for them.

Hey! I love this idea, but when he showed up at the trial, all the blood that was on his head and face was cleaned up, and he wasn’t light-headed or anything during the trial, some I’m gonna change up the request a bit to have the reader find him directly after he falls through the floorboard. SPOILERS FOR EVERYTHING UP TO CHAPTER 3 ENDING. Gender of reader never specified.

NOTE: MONOKUMA WAS OUT OF COMMISSION FOR THIS INVESTIGATION, BUT IM TAKING CREATIVE LICENSE TO ADD HIM BACK IN. WORK WITH ME LMAO.

“Hmmm, I see. Thanks, Kiyo!” You finished up your light but lengthy interrogation of the anthropologist, who elegantly bowed his head and disappeared into his lab. You exited, rounding the corner to investigate further. You headed toward the three empty rooms, wanting to re-examine Tenko’s body after Korekiyo’s statements, even if the thought of your friend’s corpse made you uneasy. It had to be done.

You rounded the corner, a sharp yelp releasing from your throat.

Shuichi, Maki and Kokichi turned to face you, startled by your sudden scream. Kokichi’s forehead was soaked, dripping pink rivulets of blood, and he was leaning on the wall for support.

“What’s going on?! What happened?! D-did someone attack you, Kokichi?” You ran over, joining the group and looking to Shuichi for answers.

“He’s fine.” Maki stated flatly.

“Obviously not, his head is gushing!” You were a bit irritated with Maki’s indifference, but a bit biased with your opinion on Kokichi. You knew many people disliked him, Maki least of all, but you didn’t see a reason to hate him. In fact…you’d been nursing quite the little crush on him. You found him witty, cute, intelligent.

“Yeah, he felt well enough to pull a childish prank on us, so I’d say he’s fine as well,” Shuichi’s eyes narrowed as he spoke, arms crossing as he looked at Kokichi with contempt. Kokichi simply grinned back.

“What prank?” You inquired.

“He pretended he was dead, lying there face-down and bloody only to pop up when we got worried!” Shuichi scoffed, his nasally, nerdy voice getting rather worked up.

“Kokichi…” you warned, seeing Shuichi’s point now. Kokichi merely smirked back at you as well.

“Anyway, we gotta go finish up this investigation before Monokuma cuts us off, so if you’ll excuse me, y/n.” Shuichi nodded, leaving with Maki to investigate Angie’s research lab. That left Kokichi and you in the hallway alone, his eyes drooping now that Shuichi was out of sight. A moment of weakness.

“Kokichi, are you alright? That’s a lot of blood. And you hit your head, yes? What if you have a concussion or something?”

“Why are you standing around? I haven’t seen you investigating at all, you lazy, lazy scoundrel,” he changed the subject. “Gonna leave all the work to everyone else?” He forced a venomous grin that quickly turned into a clenched-teeth grimace, his head pounding. It didn’t escape your notice.

“For your information, Ouma, I have been investigating, it’s just obvious to me who the guilty party is, so I’ve been slowing down. I’m ready for the trial.”

“Hmm so you’re useless and cocky? Great, just what we needed for this case!” He started walking off toward the stairs, still heavily depending on the wall. His words were harsh, but as usual, held an untruth within them. He knew you were smart, and that you probably had figured it out, but he wasn’t going to admit that to you, of course.

“K-Kokichi! Let me help you!” You grabbed his arm before he could stumble down the stairs. He looked to you incredulously, but didn’t pull away, looking at the little drops of pink that stained his white jacket sleeve.

“I don’t need your help, stupid-head! What, you’re the Ultimate Nurse or something? Ultimate babysitter? Go bother someone else!” He was trying your patience now, but you weren’t going to turn your back on someone obviously in pain. You saw pain in his eyes, both from his mysterious past and the current injury. Kokichi was more than meets the eye, and you could easily perceive that. It didn’t hurt that he was attractive.

“No, the Ultimate Psychologist, remember?” You stopped him when he tried to pull away and continue down the stairs alone.

“Ohhhh, pfft! Yeah,” he rolled his eyes, “I had forgotten since you never actually do anything during trials.”

“Monokuma!!!” You yelled out, ignoring his insult. Kokichi jumped at your sudden volume, and the monochrome bear appeared seemingly out of thin air.

“What do you twerps want?” He smiled, hands on his hips.

“How much time do we have left in the current investigation?”

“And why should I tell you...? I think that seems a bit unfair! Then I’d have to tell eeeeeveryone!” He leaned forward at your threateningly. You gestured toward Kokichi.

“Kokichi is obviously in no shape for a trial. He needs to get cleaned up and assessed, at least. I’m asking you to allow me the time to do so, no more, no less?” You challenged him.

“No way! You’re cra-“

“Kokichi is easily the smartest one here, and he keeps the trial fun and interesting, wouldn’t you agree?” You hated using the word fun to describe the killing game. You thought it was horrific and morbid, but a little lie to help a friend in the end wasn’t against your morals. “If he’s down for the count or out of it during the trial, it’s going to be painfully boring, right? No one to harass Miu, and everyone else gets along pretty well. It’s going to be a hand-holding ceremony of cooperation. Do you want that?” You glared at the small robot, Kokichi’s mouth a bit agape behind you. Not only were you defending him, which no one here did, but you were standing up to Monokuma.

“Hmmm...well, I suppose, if it will improve the trial...I must reluctantly agree!” Monokuma’s paw rose to his chin pensively. “You’ve got an hour! Not a minute over, got it?!”

“Deal. Can I have a first aid kit?”

“No!”

“RISE AND SHINE URSINE!” The three remaining Monokubs appeared in front of you, with Monodam holding a large white case in his metal paws.

“HERE. I. WILL. ALWAYS, CONTRIBUTE. TO. THE. CAUSE. OF. GETTING. ALONG,” Monodam spoke in his staccato mechanical voice, handing the plastic container’s handle to you.

“You’re lucky my wittle cubs are so cute and helpful and wesponsible!” He swooned at the smaller bears. “Now get outta here, times ticking!”

“SO LONG, BEAR WELL!”

You turned to Kokichi with a smile, and to your surprise, he smiled back.

You sat in your room in the dorms, with Kokichi leaning his head back gently onto the side of the tub in your small, personal bathroom. You sat on the edge, massaging the dry blood out of his hair as he pouted, arms crossed against his chest and thin legs splayed out in front of him.

“OW!” You touched a sensitive spot, the opening of his wound a little too roughly, and he shook his feet up and down, stomping on the ground like a little kid. “It’s clear you’re trained to take care of people’s minds, not their bodies, you asshole!” He yelled up at you. You chuckled lightly, easing up on his skull and rubbing out a particularly crunchy bit of coagulated blood.

“What ever do you mean by that, my dear Ouma?” You teased, and he stiffened up, before quickly realizing his emotions were plain on his face, and pouting again.

“I mean, it’s clear you know how to unravel someone psychologically and trick them, like how you ‘know the culprit already’and persuaded Monokuma, but you really have no talent for physical care, huh?” You assumed he was referring to your rather rough treatment of his body...well, what he determined as rough.

“I think you’re being a little unfair, Kokichi. I think I’m doing a pretty great job. Do you feel any better after the water?” You’d made him down a few water bottles upon entering your room and examined the wound before rinsing his dark locks out.

“Hmpf! Whatever. I guess I am grateful to you,” he sighed, “but my appreciation will only continue if you prove you’re truly not as dumb as I once thought!” He looked off dreamily.

“And how do I do that?” You wrung out the longer pieces of his hair, playing along.

“Who is the culprit then...if you’re so smar-?” You wrapped his head in a towel and it covered his face and mouth, muffling his words, “HEY!” You giggled and quickly rustled the towel around gently, careful to avoid directly scraping his wound. When you were done you lifted the towel, peeking under to look at his face. He scowled at you, a light dusting of pink on his cheeks.

“Aww, don’t look so angry. It only makes you cuter!” He turned away from you abruptly, embarrassed, then stood until he was hovering over your seated position, playing it off.

“Whatever! I’m outta here. Some of us actually want to live through this trial.” You grabbed his hand as he began to exit your bathroom.

“It’s Korekiyo. It’s obvious, to me at least…he killed them both.” His eyes widened. How did you…? Of course, he had already come to this conclusion. Seeing something like confusion in his eyes, you continued. “It became apparent as I analyzed him. I talked to him for quite a while.”

“Did you... shrink him?” He scoffed, a bit impressed.

“I’m afraid so,” you wore a crooked grin, standing to meet him.

“Aww, poor guy. And he didn’t even make an appointment!!! Though, I guess it’s really your loss after all. You shrinks are expensive! I hope he has insurance!” He laughed loudly, pitying the graceful anthropologist who would shortly meet his doom.

“You knew already, then?” You inquired.

“Of course!! Evil recognizes evil after all, and he is evil.” He waltzed toward your bedroom door, not a hint of a thank-you or appreciative word coming from his lips. You didn’t stop him, knowing the trial would soon commence anyway. But then, your thoughts prodded at you, and your lips opened.

“K-Kokichi?” He paused, hands on his hips as he turned to face you.

“Whaaaat? We haven’t got all day!”

“I need to place a bandage and some antibiotic over your wound...it’s pretty deep.” Why were you so worried about him, he wondered. “A-and...I wouldn’t mind spending more time with you…” your cheeks felt hot and you looked toward the ground. He rolled his eyes, walking over and plopping down, criss-cross-applesauce in front of you. “Kokichi?”

“I can’t blame you for wanting my attention,” he spoke lazily, “I am the most entertaining person in this dump!”

“You really are charming, you know?” You spat sarcastically.

“Well???? Get to it!” He handed you the first aid kit beside your bed, and you accepted it with a relieved, gentle smile. You began to part his hair, looking for the wound, and he was grateful that you couldn’t see the expression on his face from that angle.
